you could use Magic for combat, but it's not that effective on its own. Definitely better as a supplement (traps, distractions, moving objects, etc) to a real weapon. also, the only people who typically use Magic are priestesses, who aren't gonna be getting into fights anyway. Saints are the only real exception

anyway since you can show off your Magic skills to Klaus and Ira in game, here's the others:

Connie: needs to do some reevaluating, since they've probably never really considered that Io could actually be dangerous, or worse, competent (lol)

Val: immediately on the verge of a panic attack. begs Io to stop under thr guise of safety and staying under the radar. Val does Not Like That Shit, especially when it's an Io that doesn't do it often, meaning Vals not as used to it

kat: heehee do it again <3 also just a huge fan of Io having hidden depths, always something to surprise her
