despite your noble name and life now you weren't born to it. your face tells the story of your birth to everyone who sees you. the lightning scar that runs from your brow to you jaw. a slave marking from volantis. there's never any hiding it, so as you age you have to learn to wear it with pride.

your mother is a kind woman from what you remember, she was a personal slave of a lord and her tattoo matches yours. you think of her when you see your own face. when you're six she dies. any hint of kindness you knew is gone and you're worthless, that's what they say. when you're nine you finally run away. you're sneaky so no one sees you when you board the ship as your master passed it.

you don't know where it's going but it's not volantis. it's not back to your master. you plan on having to stay hidden to hide your face, but the ship lands in westeros. they don't allow slavery in westeros. maybe you'll be an urchin but you'll be a free one. your days as an urchin however aren't long. you're on the streets less than a year when you're found by a couple. they seem interested in you, you're weary but maybe if you're entertaining they will give you coin.

lord and lady arryn are the rulers of the vale, and they do enjoy your antics, more than that they enjoy you as a person. as a child. someone who deserved more than they'd been given. you're named an arryn soon after and you have a family again. you're important, you're truly free.

you feel safe but you're afraid of it. you're waiting for the next thing to happen and always on edge. it continues while you age. anyone who's cruel you lash out at, if they look at your face too long you've got a word. you're supposed to wear your mark with pride, but you can't always do that.

the world always turns ugly, once war starts you don't want to think about it. you hate the thought of it. that everything could be ripped from under you. so while your sister is neutral to the war, you're happy. you can pretend it's not real. like the world isn't crumbling again.

you can stay outside the castle walls and speak with the smallfolk, there they don't have enough time to think about the war at all times. not like they do in the castle. you're a noble among them but they can see your face. not all of them like you because of your name, but most know you've been where they are. some even know you've been worse.

she's sneaky, she has no interest in being any kind of spy but she's always ready to run away from things.

saffron adores the finer things, things she never thought she'd be able to have, she apricates every single item

she does wonder about her birth father, she doesn't think he was a master, but she truly has no idea.

saffron has much of her clothing adorned with subtle lighting bolts to match her face.

she's feisty, she's not really a fighter but she will get into fights or try to start them if she's insulted. she still has a mentality that she has to get someone before they get her.
