Right. Brian told me about it. The S.T.A.R.S. members sometimes need to deal with situations outside of Raccoon City, even if said problem was far away from the edges of the city. It isn’t uncommon for the fire department to venture out into the emerald wilderness, in order to calm down any wildfires started by people or naturally from high heat. But this mission sounded...quite odd. 

I am grateful that Brian chooses to share stuff with me, maybe he knew I wouldn’t be quiet about this. Well, noisy or not I just wanted to know more. From what Irons had told him the alpha team hasn’t returned from their latest mission and it was important to find out about the possible cause....He didn’t clarify much, his speech was quite close to what me and Brian have heard over the news. Weird cases of people disappearing into the woods, some never to be found and others in crimson pieces. Not sure what to believe here, that some pack of rabies-infected animals are gutting poor people out? A cult or a bloodthirsty maniac trying to lure in people? 

The chief didn’t disclose any more information...maybe he wouldn’t want to spread panic amongst his men and the ones in our team. Fair I suppose...I just hope Chris can give me an answer when he comes back...

How could this be?

He should be in town. I doubt those officers would lie to me, but some of them look tense...like they’ve seen a ghost. Come to think of it, I barely saw anyone out of S.T.A.R.S. I tried to tap more into matters but only managed to get  little of it. Even Chief Irons is prickly, refusing to listen to my questions and coming up with excuses to throw me out of his office. 

It doesn’t make any sense...Chris’ stuff is still here, but no sign of the man in question. He better have stayed safe... I-I don’t want to image a world where my friend is forgotten, a name in the many of those who ended up powerless and defeated in the heart of Arklay Mountains. But so many unsettling things have happened recently, even <REDACTED> has given me no sign for the last 2 months. Her work is very important and I understand that she needs to focus on their ‘big project’...I just hope this feeling of dread leaves me alone.

Chris if you are alive..then why are you not here? What’s keeping you away? Are you hurt? Come on you already know I would be on my way with a med kit. I would probably pack some complimentary snacks with me to make the process less painful. I was debating between smores and fudgy brownies, hmmm the complicated life of a man with a sweet tooth. But it’s not an injury easy to treat huh? I...I wish I could help, but I can’t if you are radio silent big bear.

Maybe I have to lure you in with some chocolate chip cookies? Just like luring a bear with some sweet honey, right?:)

usually, you're able to bottle up your emotions and ignore the frustrations. but, after weeks of shoving everything down, your body needs a release, and i pity the poor person who managed to piss you off. it's screaming crying, shouting, kicking lockers, whatever you can do to get it out of your system. it's a whole jean grey moment, fire and fury blasting out of you.
