the noble family of Mac Tir, sigil only created after Celia insisted Loghain stop living in a tent and actually fix his keep. A red rose on a backing of green for the "land" of their name, and black for Gwaren.

Followed by the Royal Family of Mac Tir, the same rose and green backing combined with the yellow mabari of Ferelden.

Sometimes I get sad, & then I remember that in my headcanon, Loghain doesn’t feel comfortable staying at the royal palace in Denerim in the first few months after the blight/before he gets shipped off to the Orlesian branch of the Wardens (like Alistair would ever let him stay there anyway), so Lexi says Hey, you can stay with me in the Arl of Amaranthine’s Denerim estate.

Just imagine Loghain Mac Tir and his sad little suitcase on his first day in a fraternity house, where his roommates are that little girl he just spent a year trying to kill, the assassin he sent after her, and her blood mage brother he hired to (unsuccessfully) poison an arl.

Somehow, I accidentally became a father figure to the three worst people I could ever imagine. I hope Anora loves her new siblings.

Does Maric actually need to want to fuck Khatrien???

Like, apart from the "Maric and Theirin men in general love elves" meme -and honestly that can just still happen with Fiona- does their Love AffairTM add anything to the plot???

Maric can still not be in love with Rowan but care about her for a sense of duty.

Khatrien can still work her way in the rebel ranks, gain their trust and then sell them out but change her mind later.

Apart for the love triangle bs and for that scene of Rowan in the dress what does actually changes??

Granted I have not read this book in a while and I have to finish it again yet so maybe it will come to me later the sense of all this.

sorry if youve answered this already, but does minerva have loghain do the dark ritual? im assuming either way beas leaving the warden contact in the fade, but is that warden contact loghain? do you have to hear kier hawke say 'i have a friend in the wardens' referencing loghain, the guy who almost got him and his brother killed at ostagar?

she sure did and he sure is there! yes that line of dialogue is insane! yes loghain left both keir and his little brother to die and by the power of headcanon also left bea’s grey warden mother to die! no this is not a fun group to hang out with!

Sweet maker, I had no idea how precious Hawke and Varric were in Inquisition! They love each other so much, and it's so obvious and genuine!

Varric protected his friend so fiercely and unapologetically, and was so heartbroken when Hawke didn't make it!

I didn't believe this game could make me THIS emotional! Varric is... really something.

Now I want to make something to celebrate this beautiful relationship!

I always thought that leaving Hawke behind was a stupid plot twist that didn't make sense and was just a lame excuse for angsty tragic fanworks, but after playing through both variants with Loghain as a warden, I feel that not leaving Hawke behind feels bland and pointless. Varric looking as sad as he does over Loghain with the sad Hawke family theme playing in the bg looked and felt pretty weird.

Can't help feeling that Hawke was meant to be the sacrifice.

Also I really don't want Loghain to die, even after all these years. When I read through the wiki about this quest, I entertained the idea that maybe it would be a fitting end for his character, finally paying for his mistakes, esp considering that the wardens never truly accepted him... but nooo. He seems to have fully embraced his new life!

Oh, and in the beginning when Hawke kept reffering to him as a friend? I squealed!

Had never given it any thought, but damn, Hawke and Loghain meeting and becoming actual friends? INCREDIBLE!

My Hawke sided with the templars in the final battle of DA2 hoping it would prevent the all out war, but it didn't work, and he was left with guilt, regret and self hate. So I think he and Loghain really could relate to each other and bond over their failures. They really felt like good friends in their early interactions. Up until the point in the Fade when they started blaming each other. Didn't care for that.

A little disapointed that mage Hawke was allowed to become Viscount. Doesn't really make sense, and I always headcanoned that he and Fenris simply ran away from Kirkwall because Cullen kept pestering him about the position

really really really considering commander-of-the-inquisition Loghain. My only thing is hooooooowwww the fuck does he end up there. cassandra sure as hell would have no reason to recruit him. maybe.... maybe, the conclave.

considering the dalish, random qunari mercenary groups and the literal carta send agents to see the results of the conclave, i imagine the wardens would also want to know what's going on. maybe they leave the choice of who goes to the Ferelden warden-commander as it's happening on Ferelden soil. Maybe Ara'kian trusts loghain's judgement and vague sympathy for mages (see: deal with uldred to break the circle free of the chantry, letting jowan go free if he poisons eamon for him, raising anora who literally lets the mages shelter in the most defendable castle in ferelden, yada yada) and sends him.

maybe when it all blows up, he's a general. he knows how to boost morale and build up soldiers to a common cause. he knows how to make rations last. maybe he steps up with the support of those like Quartermaster Threnn and accidentally finds himself at the head of something that he never quite intended, Again

Warden Saadia Brosca

Similarly to how I made a masterpost for Ellaine, I recently started a run with Saadia, because I want to play each of the other origins, and was the most curious about the Dwarf Commoner.

I will update this post as I play her playthrough, and include my choices for her! as always, asks and comments are always welcome! Origin: [Companions] Leske [Choices] * Killed the Lyrium Smuggler * had Leske poison her proving opponent * Fought in the provings, and revealed her identity when confronted * Escaped the carta base, killing only the guard (used stealth for everyone else) * Talked to Duncan at the proving * Eagerly joined Duncan to become a warden [Headcanons] * Highly respects Duncan, he is one of the only people in the proving to not show her disrespect for being a casteless. * Sees becoming a warden as her chance to show what she truly can do, and prove her worth.

Lothering [Companions] Leliana & Alistair & Sten [choices] * Reluctant for Morrigan and Flemeth's help. but did not kick Morrigan out of party * Recruited the dog, named Barkagon. * Convinced the bandits a caravan is coming, to avoid paying the toll * Stole their money and killed them anyway * Drove off the chantry sister for the Merchant * Lockpicked Sten's cage to recruit him * Killed Loghain's men in the tavern * Begrudgingly recruited Leliana [Headcanons] * Saadia did not trust Flemeth or Morrigan at all, and wanted to leave the hut as quickly as possible * as I am going through conversation options, Alistair kinda hates Saadia already, mostly because she tends to dig through his attempts at deflection, and tries to force him to answer her questions. * Morrigan also has a low approval, since Saadia does not trust magic in any form * Leliana and Sten are doing well aproval wise, she appreciates Sten's directness. And Leliana seems to be trying to claw at her heart regardless of her cold exterior.

Redcliffe: Saadia's first destination was to swing south of Lake Calenhad to Orzammar, but Redcliffe was along the way, and Alistair insisted on stopping there. [Companions] Sten & Alistair & Leliana [Choices] * Saadia stayed to protect the town. While tempted to leave, she wanted to try and find the Arl. * Threatened Dwyn into staying to fight. * Threatened the kid into giving her his father's blade * Killed Berwick * Lots of people died during the defense, rip * KIlled Jowan in his cell (distrustful of mages, blood mages especially) * With Jowan being dead, Saadia did not know about the ritual to save Connor * Saadia decided to kill Connor to end the demonic possession. [Headcanons] * Going for this route is ROUGH but I wanted Saadia to have a strong "i don't trust magic" stance, so I got backed into a corner. I do not recommend going this route for any other character.
