Sometimes I get sad, & then I remember that in my headcanon, Loghain doesn’t feel comfortable staying at the royal palace in Denerim in the first few months after the blight/before he gets shipped off to the Orlesian branch of the Wardens (like Alistair would ever let him stay there anyway), so Lexi says Hey, you can stay with me in the Arl of Amaranthine’s Denerim estate.

Just imagine Loghain Mac Tir and his sad little suitcase on his first day in a fraternity house, where his roommates are that little girl he just spent a year trying to kill, the assassin he sent after her, and her blood mage brother he hired to (unsuccessfully) poison an arl.

Somehow, I accidentally became a father figure to the three worst people I could ever imagine. I hope Anora loves her new siblings.

I think, for a long time after, Lexi blames herself for what happened to Cullen, because in her mind, there will always be the question of, If Jowan, Lily, and I hadn’t done what we did, would there have even been a rebellion? — But even if she could go back and do it all over again, she couldn’t not make the same choice again because of Jowan.

I think carrying that guilt (as well as the guilt she carries over Lily’s imprisonment, Idril’s death, & Keili being made Tranquil) fundamentally changes her. In the Circle, she was this bubbly little monster that was always laughing and loved picking on her big brother. By the time Awakening rolls around, she’s just a monster — or, at least, that’s how she sees herself. And, in a lot of ways, like Cullen, she’s this very badly damaged shell of herself.

Idk, I also have a lot of thoughts about how her and Alistair “betraying” each other affects this too. And how she and Nathaniel sort of save each other from themselves. But… yeah.

Big thoughts. So many thoughts.

I think the biggest difference between Lexi’s relationship with Nathaniel and the one she had with Alistair is that Nathaniel goes from being a little concerned about Jowan’s influence on Lexi to being very loving and teasing with him (in a big brother way obv) pretty quickly, whereas Alistair would’ve liked to punch Jowan in the face after the whole you poisoned my uncle and killed his wife in a blood ritual thing and that just never ever changed.

Thinking about how the Hero of Ferelden can never really go back to their life before, and weeping for Alexia, who was brought to the Circle at four years old, and how her first trip back to the Tower after becoming a Warden meant seeing the bodies of almost everyone she ever knew, ever loved. I think if she ever met Solas, she would understand his longing for a place and time he can never return to.

I can go anywhere I want, anywhere I want, just not home.

I think it’s funny that on like three different posts, I’ve referred to Lexi & Sten and Lexi & Justice as Kirk-Spock vibes when, in reality, it’s infinitely more like Data-Worf vibes, because of the Autism Outsider to Autism Outsider brain connectivity.

How much effort does Alexia Surana put into her appearance?

A LOT. She’s my most high maintenance OC. Hair, nails, makeup, clothes, shoes, perfume, lotion, oils. She makes it seem effortless 💅
