Why do some of you even exist?

It had never been a rhetorical question. It was a judgement of one above the Heavens, posed as scrutiny of those that possessed no worth in heavenly eyes. There was no beauty in their essence, no intrigue in their hollow souls. Their names mattered not, their stories weren’t entertaining to be told, their emotions were of no importance. They worked to live, they lived to serve. It was a pathetic excuse of an existence, yet the one he wouldn’t lift a finger to change. They were weak, and weak didn’t get to choose how they die.

Such fragile existence went beyond humanity. At first it was chirping, warm, softest to the touch, tickled the palms that kept it from flying. Until the bird went cold once its neck was snapped. Even something so beautiful and worthy of life in heavenly eyes was weak. It didn’t deserve to choose when to die either. Flowers were the same – equally beautiful, something adorned by the young god, yet they withered and died of their own or by his hand still.

If the hands wrapped themselves around the necks of his family, would those snap as well? The mind had played with the idea, and it came to one conclusion — they would. Eyes had judged the family just as they had judged the slaves, deeming their lives holy, but not equal to his. Mother was kind and would never kill the one she brought to life. Father was too weak to even attempt such a thing on a slave, and his brother... Rocinante could kill. It was a brotherly feeling he had. Before the younger could be swept by father’s ideology of godhood, Doflamingo had plenty of time to plant and nurture his own. Even so, as the eyes would rest on the younger brother so dear, Doflamingo knew he would never take to his heights. He had potential but not enough of it. It was a shame.

Over time, it had been proven time and time again that even those with celestial blood in their veins were simpletons, almost as barbaric ( and some of them more ) than the slaves under their feet. For most, their vocabulary was as bad as those of commoners. There was no intellectual curiosity, no strategic thinking, no logical reasoning around him. Every time someone opened their mouth, stupidity was all he heard, from Tenryuubito and from his own family. There was no advancement, everything was at halt. Anything worth listening to would only come from his own mouth, and with his brother’s lack of input ( the only one he’d let into his inner world ), he made it a habit of practicing speech and rhetoric.

Philosophy, history, languages, strategy, interests in economy and finance, music and poetry. His slaves served to bring him books whenever he demanded them, he sent them across half the Marijois to get the specific ones he wanted, and only would go someplace himself if the slaves were forbidden to enter the holy grounds. Then, when he learned enough, he tried it out. With those slaves he bought, he learnt the art of war.

War was something he found amusing. Something that brought out laughter from his lips. Bloodshed, violence, pain, it excited him. Seeing others suffer made it clearer as to why they existed in the first place. They existed for him. For him to command and for him to cast them away once he’s bored. For him to do as he pleased. Marijois was considered a paradise above earth, the reflection of the best world had to offer, the ethereal. Having established before that Tenyruubito were above those they walked upon, and that he was above Tenryuubito as well, it was a matter of a simple deduction. He was above everyone. Above the earth and above the gilded heavenly cage they resided in. This core belief established at the very early age was one he’d simply solidify once he was older.

Yk, I hate that adaptations keep making Peter a high schooler, and not just because it means he never evolves, but because the adaptations now also include wider Marvel, whitch usually (thanks to the MCU) is at the modern day stage with legacy characters and new age teen heroes, meaning that Peter is taking up Miles' spot and you can really tell when they put him next to someone like Kamala Khan or Sam Alexander who are Miles' pals. Tho Peter taking Miles' stuff is just a modern issue overall, just look at MCU whitch just stole and re-skinned Miles' personality, characters, story-beats, even the costume to an extent and then made it worse.

Persona romance routes are all pretty bad but damn they really hit rock bottom with p3p femc route like the misogyny is very blatant and it’s almost hilarious like look at the Shinjiro romance. When you do his social link he’s like very clearly respectful of Kotone as a leader and explicitly says stuff like "oh yeah you’re clearly the best fighter we have, I don’t really know much about fighting like you do, I hope I’m not dragging you down, you’re doing a good job as leader just remember to take care of yourself, everyone looks up to you I know you can rely on them" etc. like he has faith in her leading abilities. But then when you romance him he’s like got dialogue like "bwah bluh i gotta look after you because you’re a GIRL and you need to stick by me, a big strong MAN so you don’t get hurt" and "don’t wear that revealing outfit in front of other guys 👺" and it’s like. Does he respect her or not and also like it doesn’t make sense for him to look down on her for being a girl cuz he literally has never not been led by a girl leader during his time in sees and Mitsuru in particular really has her shit together when it comes to being responsible and a good fighter and she’s always known the most about Tartarus

It’s also like.
