Whats with depressed pretty homos with dead twins and me unintentionally making them my favorite character almost immediately and not even realising how similar they are until much later.....
These two suckers would actually get along so well. Imagine being so deeply trenched into your ideals after the death of your twin you let it consume you wholly and completely not even caring about the fact that you are hurting others around you. Imagine being so devoted to family that you are willing to die for them. Only for them to die first and leave you behind. All alone. Imagine being so utterly obsessed with freezing time to preserve the present moment and be unwilling to succumb to age and erosion. Imagine. Imagine. Imagine....
#sure gotta love intertwining concepts of immortality and eternity tbh#like imagine fighting so hard against fate itself#characters like this are my ultimate weakness#genshin impact#identity v#joseph desaulnier#raiden ei

||~ Of course she was second guessing her thoughts of creating her realm into a hopes of eternity , thanks to the traveler though Ei began to see a new light of this waking world she was so afraid of losing.
Standing in the streets, the archon watched curiously as children began to play games running around with laughter that filled there voices, as well as noticing the local food sellers that began to place out a fresh batches of Dango. rice omelets and other delectable goods that they made each and every morning. the soft pattering a Sakura petals began to fall beneath her feet as the semi sweet scent began to fill the air in harmony, As this nostalgic waking world began to come into view.
Ei began realized there was so much to this nation that she has missed due to fear, what would Makoto think of this if she saw her sister react so horribly before. Even so now thanks to a new view to this nation, Ei strives to make right for her people and it’s principles little by little of course as she understood that ‘SHE.’ did quite a damage on them with the old Vision hunt decree.
It wasn’t long though until her sobering thought came to a halt as she suddenly heard the clopping steps of a pair of Geta’s or what seemed like Geta’s. behind her and turned around as she noticed the stranger before crossing her arms over her chest in a serious but calm manner and spoke up.
“Greetings and good morning, is there something I can help you with?” Her monotone voice seemed a bit surprise to see someone else out here with early. though as she took a closer look at the other she noticed their outfit was out worldly and not something you would see in Inazuma so freely.

First there was war.
|Warning, graphic descriptions, calculated desperation, curse words, refers to untold amounts of trauma caused by deaths to the reader|
|Imposter SAGAU x Soulsborne Female Creator|
Part 1/2
(First time gendering the reader, throw a sky scraper of criticism onto me on where to improve)
You've been sent to hell and back several times, and now she thinks she can admit it and live? Be her judgement for her transgression.
If fate was a person, you would chop them into pencil shaving sized pieces while it's still alive.
You don't remember when this all started, all you do recall is that you fell asleep one day and the next, you ended up in a land called Boletaria, starting your lives in hell. And it has been about the same situation ever since, with you being transported into several other worlds, all of which had you die. A lot.
Whether it was Yharnim, the Lands Between, Sengoku Era Japan, or the three kingdoms that need a flame to be re-lit to keep humanity thriving, all had a common factor of putting you through hell, dying over and over again and losing those you cared about in each world, with the only benefits you had were that your skills had sharpened over time with each death and that your gear was saved and interchangeable per world.
But even that wasn't fully a blessing, with you often needing to do several of what you call endings, a different fate that would take hold in what ever world you were in, making you lose all of the weapons that you gathered in that world.
And as a result, you became akin to a shell of yourself with how you've changed. If you were to suddenly be taken back to Earth and see your family and friends again, you're sure they wouldn't recognize you.
Worse still, you remembered each death and life you lived vividly, and every friend from those worlds that you lost.
Yet for some reason, you always had the courage to go forward. You always had hope for a better tomorrow, with it growing more and more in each hell you entered and left.
Now, you find yourself chained up in the chamber of a massive chapel, standing in front of your doppelganger, the supposed creator of Teyvat, with her babbling on and on about god knows what, being adorned in what you assumed to be the finest clothes and jewelry they have gotten from the people.
Around you, a huge crowd of said people consisting of both NPC'S and most of the characters that you used to admire listened on to her fervently, with the archons besides Furina who may have been among the sea of people in the crowd with Neuvillette taking her place flanking this clone of you.
Oddly enough, you find yourself wearing the same clothes that you wore when you fell asleep on your last night on Earth.
Honestly, if it weren't the tight chains on you, you're pretty sure you would have fallen asleep several times over due to how annoying she was. Compared to those-
"Are you even listening to me??!!" The imposter yells out, bringing you back to reality with that indignant look on her face.
A moment of silence befell the chamber as all the attention was focused on you, awaiting your reaction. You tried to think of a response, trying to recall what they were talking about. Eventually, you came up with nothing and were unable to think of an excuse.
"I'm sorry, sir what were we talking about?" You asked. The crowd yelled in uproar, unconvinced that you didn't know about your focus.
A blade suddenly appeared in front of you, almost slicing your neck, with its owner, Raiden Ei, on your right. "I would suggest you listen more carefully, heretic. Though their grace wants you alive, she has said nothing about harming you." Ei says, her voice full of venom. "Her word is eternal, while you're damned to the pages of history."
"Enough Raiden." The Imposter said, calling the Electro Archon back. Ei shot one final glare at you before returning to the imposter's side.
"You know, for someone who has gone through the abyss and back, you seem to be as defiant, like you're proud of your transgressions when I'm offering you a chance of redemption." The imposter monologues, getting your attention. How did she know about where you've been.
"I wonder," She continues. "If i brought you here before you were sentenced, would you be as high and mighty as you act, usurper?"
Silence is your response. 'Sentence? What does she mean by before?' You wonder, caution and anger rising at what she's implying. "What are you talking about?" You ask. The crowd gasps before more talking comes from them. 'Drama queens.' You think before focusing on "you".
"We both know what I'm talking about, but it seems I may have to remind you, demon." She says, her tone full of venom before taking a deep breath before telling her story.
"Long ago, shortly after I reascended into Celestia, you went ahead and appeared at the tree of Imursul, altering its knowledge so that you would descend in my place instead. Luckily, I found the change and once I descended, I made some, adjustments to yours, giving you some, "detours", before your audience with me." She says, with a smile appearing on her face.
The color starts to leave your face, before it returns, flooded by red rage. All of this, over you claiming to be someone that you didn't know exists, and the result was you put into hell over and over again.
"All of that didn't have to happen had you not sought to rule. That is the only way this could've been avoided."
A million thoughts run through your mind. All centered on making this bitch suffer. But deep in your mind, one thing always comes up.
You only got one shot at this. Take her out, and this eternal nightmare is over. No more hells, no more dying over and over.
And so, steeling your resolve, and a plan in mind, you take a deep breath, before devoiding your face and voice of emotion. Though you had no weapons on you, you were unsure of how else to push through.
"I finally get it." You say, your head facing the floor.
The crowd starts murmuring, eager to see what would happen, how you would confess, and your punishment that they'd see.
"Oh? And what would that be?" She asks, amused.
"You're not the benevolent goddess that gave life to Teyvat, rather your the primordial sin!" You yell at her, shooting your head up and staring directly into her eyes.
Uproar comes from the crowd, with a wave of disapproval and rage coming from them.
The archons and Neuvillette have varying reactions.
Zhongli and Ei look ready to tear you apart while internally hurting on the inside, seemingly trying to reject your words.
Venti has a stone face but you can sense a tone of sadness in him.
Nahida has a smirk appear in hear face before returning it to an emotionless one.
Neuvillette seems to have taken a deep breath while cooling his emotions, making him unreadable and unsure if he feels rage or sadness.
Mavuika meanwhile, showed a determined look, liking the prospect of a fight, but her eyes seem to betray her body's ideals, with tears rising in her eyes.
The Tsaritsa's face showed that of anger while her eyes agreed with you, semmingly longing to stand beside you.
At least, that's what you hoped they were thinking. For in truth, you had no idea on their internal stuggles since this "creator" was thrown into the picture.
"Deny it all you want, you know it's true!" You yell, stoking the flames. "Every tragedy that has occurred, she's been responsible for! The Archon War! The monsters of the world! Khaenr'iah! All of it was preventable!" You yell, eyeing the archons to see who'd react first.
"But nooo. She had to make you all suffer to determine your "devotion", and failed as a cre-!"
Unable to bear it, EI went ahead and tried to strike you down while Zhongli trying to crush you where you stood. In a second, you pulled on your arm chains hard, catching the guards off as you had the chains take your necks place for the chopping block.
As they were cut, you felt electricity course into your veins from the chains electrifying you and those that held your leg chains, in which you saw them let go of your leg chains.
Looking up to see the falling meteor, you jumped ahead, avoiding the meteor, but your chains were caught in its impact zone.
Seeing this, you tilted your feet and wrists for them to come off easier. Though both hurt, and you likely sprained a few of your toe and finger bones, you were now free from being held back, now able to pursue the look-alike.
"Jackpot." You say, sporting a malevolent smile as you look at your doppelganger in the eyes.
The imposter, horrified, started getting up. "K-Kill her!" She yelled. "Everyone, kill her! Don't let her get close to me!" She said, descending the throne.
Following those words, the entire room mobilized. All there began to climb out of their seats and rush to you, with the guards there leading the way. All of the archons and Neuvillette besides the Tsaritsa, Nahida, and Venti were moving to kill you, with them beside Nahida escorting your look-alike who was leaving the room. The youngest archon, seemingly slipping off and going elsewhere.
Wasting no time, you run after the imposter, juking out arrows, evading melee stikes from various weapons, and having others take the fall for elemental attacks, all the while closing the distance.
You felt electricity charging up from behind you, sensing EI likely gonna try to decapitate you again. Ahead of you, Zhongli is rushing you, spear in hand, with various metals charging up the spear.
Rushing to Zhongli, you waited for Ei to be near you as Zhongli closed the distance too. Once both were near, you jumped out of the way, having their blades connect and shock both you and those nearby, slightly burning you but giving you a clear pathway to the imposter.
"Get back here you coward!" You yell, nearing her, only to see Mauvkia appear on your left, with her about to punch into your gut, no way to dodge it.
Seeing no other options, you use your left arm to take the impact of the punch, expecting it to be dislocated or broken, only for something to appear in a flash of light, taking the impact.
Being sent back, you then find something in your right hand as you're flying across the chamber before using it to halt launch by striking it into the ground.
Once you've come to a stop, you look at what's in your hands, only to be struck by an all too familiar feeling of recent nostalgia.
In your right hand resides a sword that seemed to glow of light, likely from Lothric Castle from one of the three kingdoms. In your left was a shield originating from Boletaria.
A smile appeared on your face, taking in your weapons, as something in the back of your mind told you these weren't your only ones.
Looking at your attackers, you didn't know if this was either the end or a new beginning to your hell, but this just got a lot more familiar. And you preferred your comfort zone, especially in times like this.
"Let's get a little crazy." You say, tightening your shield's strap, rushing into the oncoming of attackers, determined to carve your way through them to your look alike.
Rushing at the attackers, you roll under one, parrying a second into the third, and dodging several other attacks.
Feeling a sharp pain move across your right elbow, you see a bullet pass by you, coming from your elbow, looking back, you see the assailant being Navia, who shot at you again.
Dodging it, you then feel your shield changing, with you feeling a trigger going into your hands. Without a second thought, you pull it, hearing something fire at Navia, before seeing that she was hit in the right arm before being surrounded by several other foes.
Glimpsing at what you pulled, you realize that it's a blunderbuss, one that you used in Yharnim.
But it's only for a moment before you're under attack again with you swapping your blunderbuss back to your shield and having it block another strike. Looking back to where the imposter went, you begin running there, only to be unable to move, under attack on all sides.
Parrying Jean's thrust before blocking Diluc's heavy slash behind you, and then dodging out of the way of Candace impaling you, you twirled once, to block Jean's next attack, when she and those close to you suddenly got forced back by something.
Looking down, you noticed a projection of a dragon's tail on you, reminiscent of those used by the crucible knights that you fought in the lands between.
Looking up, you noticed more foes coming for your head on all sides. Twirling again, you see a greatly longer tail smashing into your more of your attackers, throwing them off of their feet.
Looking back to where your imposter ran off to, you ran over those you used to idolize while dodging the incoming projectiles from those still up and rushing you.
Nearing the doorway, something tells you of an incoming attack moving fast. Sensing it, you turn to it with your shield raised, only for a ray of continuous water to hit against your shield.
Looking above the shield, you see the aggressor being Neuvillette, blasting you with water before yelling "Now!", to someone if out your view.
Suddenly, an arrow of electro was shot into the water spout, with it moving up the spout as Neuvillette endured the electro energy affecting him.
In an attempt to lessen the damage, you drop your sword, but you would do something that you didn't know was possible, for you only saw it done by only a handful of foes.
Reaching out to the arrow before it hits your shield, you somehow manage to grab it, stunning Neuvillette and those that were nearby.
Looking back at Neuvillette, you squeeze the arrow, golden electricity now coursing through the arrow which now has taken the form of a lightning bolt 'Just like Radagon' You think, recalling the Second Elden Lord.
Twirling the arrow, you can't help but recall the first time you saw him use that. It was a shocker, seeing him be able to do that. Then again, you also did recall some other foes in the other worlds.
And suddenly, you find yourself as Radagon, and in-front of you stood a single tarnished. Their gender unidentifiable, and face masked.
You know not of whether this is a new reality made by the imposter, another power that is seemingly awakening, or if this is some mental illusion. In your right hand was the lightning bolt that he(or she? He was basically Marika) held. Aiming the lightning bolt at the Tarnished, you aim it at them, seemingly able to set the charge of the lightning bolt to incapacitate, and hurl it.
When it hit, the sound of a thousand screams hit, with the Tarnished collapsing, ending the vision. Looking around, all that were in the chamber had collapsed, with them all in various states of pain, but not dead.
Despite what they've done, you still feel remorse for them. For not only is the pain all to familiar to you, but some of them still are the characters that you adored back on Earth.
A sudden head ache emerges, and you grasp your head, unsure of where it came from as you try to bring it down, taking you down memory lane.
------------------------------------------------------------
The place could be best described as a void, with the only entrance in here sealed. You wore an armor set with a helmet that didn't have a face covering. In each hand resides a scimitar that you found during your travels.
Each scimitar had its own ash of war, special skills that could be applied to your weapons. Your right one caused blood loss after continuous hits as well as attack enemies in a short range of you while your left dealt frost damage.
You had gotten this modified set idea from a well known Tarnished who was basically nude, with him only having cloth covering his privates and a pot on his head for some reason. Despite this, he was a natural killer, slaughtering great foes and shard barrers with ease.
In front of you stood Radagon, the second Elden Lord. He had grayish cracked skin while still sporting healthy red hair, his chest bare besides the emblem of the Elden ring. All he wore were faded pants from what you saw. In his right hand, he held a golden hammer, the same one in which Queen Marika, or himself (You still questioned why she made a gendered clone of herself) used to shatter the Elden Ring untold time ago.
Running up to him, you waited for him to take the bait and as he swung his hammer down, you dodged out of the way, and began to stab into his side, trying to cut a way into his skin and freeze his blood, assuming there was any.
You managed to get a few hits in before being hit by Radagon, his hammer throwing you back a couple of feet. Wincing from the pain as you got up, you noticed how there seemed to be a hole in his skin connecting to something.
Forming a plan, you stored your left scimitar away and swapped it out for a staff. You sent 3 fireballs before rushing Lord Radagon, intending to use it as cover for you to rush up to him.
As the trio were launched, you ran to him, swapping your staff back for your scimitar.
As the fireballs neared the old Elden Lord, he did something you didn't know was possible. Using his hammer, he hit two of the fireballs back towards you before grabbing the third one and doing something to it.
Focusing on the incoming projectiles, you dodged out of the way of the first fireball before trying and failing to do what Radagon did to the second one with your scimitar, taking the heat to your face and gear, blocking your line of sight.
'Fucking Hell,' You thought, coughing through the smoke, waving your hand to clear it. 'Seems that one of the perks of being a god is that you get to do that sort of shit with your bare hands..'
Your thoughts ran cold as the smoke cleared. Radagon had seemed to convert the third fireball into a thunderbolt, which he now held in his bare hands and was aiming it at you.
As Radagon threw it at you, you dodged out of the way, only for the lightning bolt to explode upon nearing you where it exploded, electrocuting and burning your body, your nerves being fried and Arteries bursting, followed with your body hitting the cool, empty void.
As death's grasp covers you in its all too familiar embrace, memories of your life up to now hit you. From your earliest memories, to your awakening in Boletaria, to lighting the flame in the first kingdom, putting it out in the third, and then your duel with Gerhman to try and let him finally rest in the waking world, were some of the memories that filled your mind.
As you recalled the most recent battles with Radagon, you came to a conclusion upon recalling this duel.
'Attempt 89 failed. gonna need a new strategy... again'.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Removing your hand from your head, you take a moment of thought when recalling that memory. 'Damn, that seriously caught me off guard. Then again, I should've expected that since they were a...'
Your thoughts shift back to the crowd ahead of you. Most of those that are there are on the ground, incapacitated but alive, you're somehow able to tell.
Those that are getting up, mainly those who have lived the longest, seem to have been greatly shaken by something. Almost as if they had a glimpse with death.
Being snapped back from your thoughts, you run into the hallway that the imposter ran into, not giving mind to those that are ahead of you.
'She cannot get away!' You think, running into a hallway. You hear footsteps ahead of you, thoroughly far away.
Needing to close the distance, you check your pockets for something, uncaring if it worked or not, when you pulled out a gold, crescent shaped whistle. 'Jackpot!' You think, blowing into it.
Beneath you, a horse that you've traveled across both the lands between and the land of shadows emerged. Torrent.
A gift from the finger maiden Melina, he's proven to be of great use in both traveling the vast distances of the lands between and fighting foes of great renown.
Hitting the reins, torrent rushed forward, speeding down the hallway. You didn't know where this imposter was going, but you couldn't let her get away.
------------------------------------------------------------
Nearing them, bitter chilling winds nip at you and torrent before they begin to let up. However, there are several flights of stairs that seem to be turning right and down constantly.
At the bottom of the stairs was the imposter with Venti and the Tsaritsa accompanying her as they ran off the stairs and deeper into the last floor.
Having a bad experience with Torrent and deep falls, you decide to continue on foot, disembarking from Torrent and sending him back.
Jumping down from the top floor, you grabbed the ledge of one of the staircases, before releasing it to grab another. After repeating this process for a while, you managed to get onto the last floor.
In front of you was them, with the imposter smack down in the middle. A bit of a distance away, but still reachable. Taking a deep breath, you continued your pursuit, running after them.
------------------------------------------------------------
Hearing your footsteps, the imposter looked back, her eyes widening as you drew near, running faster with you right behind.
No matter how far she ran, walls of Dendro kept appearing at every potential exit, all of them too thick that they wouldn't have it opened by the time you're upon them.
Every time the Tsaritsa unleased great glaciers at either the imposter or Venti used the winds the to make great barriers to block you using anemo, you would either melt the ice sent to you, or harness the winds to act in your favor. And that was before the elements betrayed them.
As you're nearing her, you're suddenly lifted into the air and pulled back. For a moment, you think that its Venti getting the wind to pull you out.
However, in the next moment your sword is changing into a familiar lance that belonged to the tail's owner, as well as their golden wings.
As if on instinct, you grab the blade with both hands, and launch yourself at the imposter.
Hearing great wings descend toward her, she takes another look, her eyes widening before grabbing Venti, having him take her place as your blade connected into the archon's skin.
As the blade connected, another vision occurred. This time, you were a crucible knight. In front, three separate warriors, tarnished, you presumed, with one of them impaled by your lance on the ground.
They each seemed to have varying reactions of horror, mainly the one who was Infront of the impaled tarnished.
Before you could register who else was there or what they could be wielding, you were sent back to the present, with Venti impaled, and your imposter look alike baring the same terrified look as the fearful tarnished in the vision.
Needing the blade, you raised it and kick Venti off. You then turn your attention to the other two, with the Tsaritsa being used as a human shield.
"Well don't just gawk there!" The imposter told the Tsaritsa, "Do something!" But when it looked like she was, voices began to invade her mind.
She grabbed her head and lowered it in pain. Her mind, assaulted by many voices. "Damn them all", "Repeat history", "Burn", "Heretic", few of the things she heard.
Visions begin to come and go like grains of sand in a dust storm. Images of Khaenri'ah being destroyed, before being replaced by Snezhnaya. The people being turned into great beasts, where death wasn't possible for their souls to rest.
Looking for ways to distract herself, she turned to the "creator", only to realize that she'd fallen silent, her face full of fear; and growing heat, both holy and unholy, familiar and not, was coming from you.
Turning her head to face you, she saw not a head, but a great void in the center of where your head resided. Surrounding this void was many smaller flames constantly rising from the void before vanishing.
"Give me the imposter," Your voice, supported by many, said. "And that fate, and many others like it, will cease." They said, before more images hit her, though noticeably lighter in effect than before.
Deciding to fold, she grabbed the imposter, and before the false creator could react, the Tsaritsa threw her to you, with you catching her by the neck.
"Good". They told her, before receding, with a wall that combined dendro, cryo, and geo rose, surrounding you two before eventually being fully covered. The imposter looked at her, face full of rage and fear, reaching out to her before she was no longer visible.
------------------------------------------------------------
Venti approached the Tsaritsa, having gotten up while holding where his wound was, which had stopped bleeding, but the aches still resided.
"Thank you, for doing what was needed." Venti said, as the other archons and Neuvillette arrived.
"It always feels like I have for us all." She says, looking at the arriving group
"While your forms and aftershocks could've been a bit more...adept, the path of justice is walked by those who dare." Neuvillette says, looking at the others.
"While true, this imposter shall know what their judgement is...and so shall we soon." Zhongli says in a somber mood, looking at the elemental wall.
A moment of silence befalls them before a muffled scream is heard from the wall, likely belong to the imposter.
"Seems that her judgement has begun." EI says. "It seems so." Nahida replies. "However, if Teyvat still exists as we know it, our fates may not be what we'll have to worry about the most." She says, all eyes now on her.
"How so?" Mavuika asks, crossing her arms.
"Earlier today, I was viewing the creator's memories by the Imursul. More specifically, what they went through before arriving in Teyvat." Nahida says, ignoring the other's gasps at her action.
"And what I saw..." She stops for a moment, recalling what you went through. "Would drive lesser beings insane."
"Explain." Ei says, glancing back to the dome, where the imposter that took your place was still screaming and begging for mercy, before looking back at Nahida.
"The memories that she had endured are all to vivid in detail. These go from her first descent into Teyvat, to today. However, the most common ones that she has most commonly gone through..." Nahida pauses for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing. "Are that of her dying, over and over."
"What!!??" They yell, shock and worry evident in their voices. For if this true, how much has changed about the grace they knew from before. and what would she think about them?
"These deaths seem to be much like Teyvat's ending of a life, with her viewing the memories that she experienced over her lifetime as her consciousness leaves her body, signified by a the feeling of being cold."
"However," Nahida says, taking a deep breath before continuing, "Unlike our world where they'd ascend to Celestia, they awake at seemingly designated safe spots, with them awakening where their body ended up when they have yet to reach one of these areas."
The group listened on in silent horror as they process what they're hearing. The screams from before seem to have been reduced to barely audible wimpers, often being interupted by a banging from the other side.
"What's worse," Nahida continues, shocking the divinity there at how it could get worse. "Is that when it looks like her journey in a world is done, it starts all over again, with the mere weapons she held when she started, and needed to complete every single of what she calls endings, different fates for the world she finds herself in, before being allowed to travel into a different one."
The silence was deafening. How much had the primordial mother change due to this false judgement? And what would happen to them? Though they weren't worthy of mercy, they felt the need to help her heal. Even if it's the sake for those who're still in her light.
Hostile and malevolent energy, which could only be described as unholy, suddenly began to emit from the wall, the imposter's scream's greatly rising. "P-Please! I B-beg of y-you! Spa-Spare me, and I'll do wh-what ever you want! N-Not a S-Second t-thought.!" She yells, her voice rising in desperation. "J-J-Ju- Just please, don't do th-AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"
The imposter's screams crescendo as unholy energy surges through their veins. Great chains of lightning are shot throughout the dome. highlighting a brutal sight. Shock was visible on their faces, but not from what you were doing, but rather how.
You, once merciful and forgiving, was using a weapon, who's only purpose was to damn those who've committed the worst of sins. It was considered sacrilege in the old age to spread knowledge about this blade's existence.
To everyone there, both by the lightning and sensing, they saw many appendages of various types, hands, claws, tentacles, and many more indescribable, clawing at the imposter from some sort of abyssal like circle underneath them. While her body was being pulled back by the limbs, they felt that the blade was pulling something out from the body.
As the scene unfolds, the archons look at each other, worried about not only their fates, but those that dwell in Teyvat. "Are the people aware, of who the true creator is?" The Tsaritsa asks, looking at the divinity there. "They are." Mauvika answers, with the Ei and Zhongli confirming it. "The winds have told me that the people are aware, and are fervently praying for mercy while repenting. Though, some are still in denial about the truth." Venti says with a somber look.
Before they could continue, the imposter's pleas went silent, followed by a muffled thud that originated from the dome. Before anyone could react, the dome began to melt, with vines and roots retracting and the rocks collapsing.
"Then lets pray it's enough in the end, and the deniers don't damn us all." Neuvillette says, getting on his knees, followed by the archons doing the same.
When the dome receded, those there looked in fear at you and what held.
In your left hand, you held a shield of pure light Infront of you, with it radiating of holy energy. That alone would've signified your identity as someone holy. But what you held in your right signified you position.
You held a sword which is only known as "The One That Damns". Across the blade's steel resides the faces of those that had been damned as well. From the bottom to the but of the blade, the steel was replaced with an unknown metal. In the center resided three small humanoid skulls in which a horn was on the center of each of them.
Starting from the top section of the highest skull going down was two metalic horns. At the connection point of a regular blade and hilt was face a face infamous to all. That of the first sinner, who now bore the horns of betrayal now metallic, and a ring with arrows going in all lateral directions, signifying how their greed consumed the world many centuries ago.
Due to how volatile the blade's energies were and its ability to corrupt, only the true creator, you, could wield it without being either absorbed into it or lost in it's corrupting influence.
Your face bore that of cautioned aggression, similar to that of a cornered monster, ready to do anything to survive. Your head had about returned back to normal, but the Tsaritca noticed in your eyes was the same void of fire in your irises that consumed your head when you went into that dome with the imposter.
From their point of view, a black substance was oozing out of the imposter's mouth, connecting to the floor. The back of their skull was shattered, with bits of flesh and bones all across where the dome was, with the abyssal circle now gone.
Mortal blood oozed from various stab wounds and cuts all across her body, with some bones visible from their perspective. But at the center of her body was unholy energy and the smell of smoke emitting from it, likely the result of The One which damns.
Her lower body is faring around as well as the upper body is, with wounds and broken bones in her.
The silks and fabrics that made up her dress were torn in your relentless strikes, jewelry thrown all across where the dome once was. Some in pieces, others still whole.
Tension was high between you and them as you waited to see if they'd rise and attack while they hoped that you would lower your weapons, and hear them.
After a while, Neuvillette spoke, taking the initiative. "Your grace. On behalf of the people of Teyvat...we're sorry." He says after a moment of consideration.
You don't know what to say. This seems to good to be true. The person you'd trust the most is Patches whenever you look over an edge, mainly because you've gotten used to him always kicking you off of it just because he can.
He did seem to change his intentions by the time you went to fight Mohg as he claims, due to the dangers that resided within Volcano manor.
Yet, these were the people who's story you've come to know, with their behavior fueled by devotion to this, god. One that sought to impersonate you. Which implied a lot, if they were that desperate.
Half an hour would pass, with it feeling like eternity to them, before you came to a conclusion on their judgement and spoke again.
"In time uncountable for me, as a result of the imposter", you say, gesturing to the imposter's body. "I descended into a decayed kingdom known as Boletaria, which saw me cleanse the land of its demonic occupiers, with nothing but the weapons I found and wits."
Zhongli looks like he wants to say something, but doesn't under your wary glare as you take a deep breath.
"I would've hoped that this led to my salvation, but it seems that the heretic had other plans. For after I purged Boletaria of the damned and left it, I was sent back to the beginning of my journey, with every change I made having the same result besides one.
The group held their breath, feeling worry and concern grow on their backs.
You take a deep breath. This part wasn't something you were fond of, regardless of the world. But it was your only way out.
"The only way out of that world, was by giving into sin." You finish, looking your head down.
The archons and Neuvillette's faces widened in shock at your admission. What sin did you commit to escape, what degree of severity did it hold?
"This, was merely the beginning," you continue on, ignoring their silent reactions. "of what I would have to do. For Boletaria was the first of seven other worlds that I would inevitably be forced to decide the fate of, and being forced to see all of them in each world."
"But now that I am free of that fate, it is my time to heal both me," you say, pointing to yourself. "And you." You finish, pointing to them. "Before my departure into Boletaria, from what I've been made know of, you felt my presence via the traveler at first and then in you, yes?" You ask, with them nodding in confirmation.
"To varying degrees do I know about each of your situations and the history of this world. But one thing remains the same. Celestia has been negligent for too long. If they're unable to justify this properly...," You pause, taking a somber tone. "Their reign is over." You finish, looking at them.
The group starts to worry about the future. The Tsaritsa worries about what's to be released in the future. By both Celestia and you, with the memory of world burning still fresh in her mind, with the others in similar states of worry.
"You and the rest of Teyvat, however, will be spared from the ensuing war that would come should they fail to explain." You reassure them, breaking them out of their thoughts.
"From what I've seen through the winds of freedom," you, turning towards Venti, with the said archon looking up at you. "Celestia has held back valuable information relating to your world, going to brutal measures to ensure that this knowledge was hidden."
"Situations like this of varying degrees are occurring all across Teyvat, and they don't react even when nations collapse due to their failures!" You yell, startling the group.
You take a deep breath, regaining your cool. "As such, I have an offer for you and your nations, as a means of reconciliation. for you." You say.
They look surprised as expected. A chance to repent for their sins? This early? There had to be some trick.
"I ask for each of you to rise, and join me in healing this world." You say, gesturing for each of them to rise. "For too long have the people of Teyvat been neglected and abused, with you and it's people working to ensure your continued survival."
"The path of healing for us both will be beneficial and long, but I hope that in the end," you continue, with the archons and Neuvillette rising, standing up right, "that we will prosper to fix a broken dream."
As you walked out of the chapel, surrounded by the divine that walk the world and your mortal acolytes, you looked up to the rising clear night sky, a light smile appearing on your face.
For now, at least, the constant suffering that you've grown used to is over. Though the potential war with Celestia is of concern to you, you push it out of your mind for now.
For how long have they been fighting their struggles, for them to desperatly fight for a look a-like of you, that only made demand after demand, seeking to enrich herself?
So many questions, but you will find them. Though the path will be long, you will keep them safe in the end, no matter the cost.

Hey readers, sorry for not posting in a while. This idea was given to me by @ghrgrsfdesfrfg when they were looking for a separate SAGAU fic. I'm going to be releasing 2 new polls soon. Wander
Platonic!Yandere Wanderer x Reader (GN)
Summary: It wasn't just his mother who betrayed him fairly early on in his life, it was also his sibling - the only person he had been close to at that point in his life. At least that was what he thought. But once he had changed into the wanderer, some new information came to the light...
! Minors Do Not Interact !
TW: Probably not canon compliant with Wanderer's backstory since I don't have his character (sadly), Lumine is the Traveller in this one, kidnapping, dark content, obsession, kind of dying (but like not really), I do not condone this - this is all fantasy
As the story is told the archon of Inazuma, Goddess of Eternity, created a puppet which later became the feared Fatui Scaramouche - but that story isn't quite complete. One fateful fact that the story omitted was that the 'betrayed' puppet wasn't the Raiden's first attempt. Before him, she had breathed life into her very first puppet, a prototype of sorts, which had many faults from which the archon learnt. With the knowledge gained from them, she successfully created the wanderer and later the puppet she still uses to this day.
After his creation, the wanderer was left in the care of his predecessor as the archon attended to her duties and the two grew close due to their shared nature. In fact, the wanded soon realized that his sibling - as humans would probably call them - meant more to him than anything else in the world and he looked forward to spending eternity together with them and their mother. But Destiny had something else planned for him.
And so the story continued, but it wasn't just his mother who betrayed him, no his sibling stood by her side when he was cast out, ignoring his pleas to come with him, to stay by his side. So all throughout his travels, through joining the Fatui, through trying to achieve Godhood, his anger at those he had considered family stayed constant. He had to admit to himself that somewhere very deep inside of him he still felt a longing to be by his sibling's side and even though he would never admit it, he knew that once he'd become the god he was always meant to be he would give them another chance. A chance to leave behind the woman who had created them to join him, to stand by his side as they were always meant to.
While during his time as a Fatui, the wanderer heard many things about Raiden through the many spies in Inazuma or just general news, he never heard any news about his sibling, not even from the most dedicated spies. And so their fate eluded him which was the reason that after his defeat by Lumine and Nahida, and after he changed into who he was now - the wanderer, looking for a new purpose - he was especially curious when Paimon started talking about Inazuma and local affairs.
Especially when you were mentioned. His sibling. The person who had not left his mind for the entire time he had been gone. And what he heard Paimon say changed everything for him.
"We met up with Ei recently - I hope you don't mind us talking about her, we know you're still bitter about that whole deal - and she brought one of her puppets along. They kind of reminded Paimon of you, they didn't look like the Shogun at all and they had their own personality, just like you. I think Ei said their name was Y/N-" Paimon rambled on, Lumine walking beside them, used to Paimon's constant chattering by now and not needing to pay much attention anymore. Usually at the first mention of his mother, Wanderer would have interrupted her snarkily to stop her talking, but at the slight chance of hearing news of you, he had to let her keep talking, "-They were really, really nice. They even told us about when they were made. Paimon wonders if that's similar to how you were made."
Paimon did not wait for him to respond, instead happily continuing talking the aspect of not being interrupted for once: "What did they say again? Oh, yes, they were also made to hold the Shogun's Gnosis, but they weren't strong enough, Ei said that she gave them consciousness so that they could help care for future Puppets. So they even took care of you, right?" Wanderer didn't bother replying, instead working through the fact he had just heard. His mother had given you consciousness? Somehow he had always assumed you were just like him, that you had gained consciousness when your mother had attempted to place her gnosis in you.
"Oh well, seems like they grew on the shogun because even after they made their successful puppet they kept them around. It's all the better for it though, knowing what would happen when Ei'd leave them behind," Paimon sighed and for the first time, Wanderer intercepted.
"What do you mean? What would happen?"
"You don't know?" Paimon looked at him surprised, she must've expected him to know all about your time before he was made, "Because Ei was the one who gave them life, she also became the source of their life, if they ever leave Ei's surroundings, they'll turn back into a puppet. At least that's what Y/N told us, but they're so nice, I don't think they'd lie."
That changed everything for the Wanderer. If what the little flying Imp was saying was true, then you had never betrayed him. You had no choice. You were bound to your mother, unable to leave even if you wanted to - which you must have. Suddenly his life had a new meaning. He'd free you, so that you'd finally be able to spend eternity by his side, under his protection. You'd finally be siblings again, just like you were always meant to.
Without giving any care for his companions, Wanderer took off in a different direction. More specifically, the direction of Sumeru's harbour. He'd do whatever he had to to get to you, to free you, to save you. He stole a boat - may or may not hurting the owner in the process - and made his way towards his old home, a place he had sworn only to return to once he had become a god, but now there were new priorities in place. He still knew many secret spots surrounding the Archon's home and luckily for him, given his mother's personality, not a lot had changed in the past years.
It was easy for him to secretly make his way into the chambers you and him had shared after your creation - it was only now that he realized that the reason you had shared was that Ei hadn't bothered to give you your own since you were already a failure in her eyes. And what a sight to behold he found there, you were sitting in the window nook you had already loved when he had still lived there, reading a book. You hadn't changed at all, time had not touched you.
As he stepped closer, a shadow was cast over you that made you look up. Your eyes widened, but he saw the happiness in them. Had you missed him as much as he had missed you?
"You're back!" you shouted happily as you jumped up and ran towards him, embracing him in a hug that he gladly reciprocated. Oh, how he'd missed that - but now he'd never have to go without this happiness again. But as quick as the happiness had set in, it diminished when you turned back and looked at him worriedly. "You-You can't be here, Mother will- She can't know you're here, you have to leave."
Anger built up in him - of course, even when he was here to save you, his mother had to make things difficult for him. But he wouldn't let her ruin this, not as long as he had to fight for you.
"She will never find out, we will leave right now and we'll be off this island before she'll be any wiser. Don't worry," he told you to calm you down as he took your hand in his and pulled you with him - he was always the stronger of you (for reasons that were now obvious) so even though you tried to get him to stop, he just pulled you harder.
"We? I can't leave Inazuma, I need to be close to Mother," you tried to reason with him, but he just shook his head and disagreed with you. "She only makes you believe that, you don't need her, I can be your new source of life, we only need each other."
"But that's not how this works-" you tried again, but then there were guards shouting and running after the two of you. But because of your resistance, you were slower than usual - if it kept on like that, they'd catch up to you and you knew that if they were to try to capture your brother, something horrible would happen - either to him or to them - and you couldn't allow that to happen. So, even though you knew that it would mean your end, you took up the pace and ran along with Wanderer.
The two of you quickly arrived at his boat and he hoisted you into it before using his vision to bring quite some distance between the boat and the shore. He didn't notice you sitting on the other side of the boat looking back at the island with a sad kind of desperation. You knew that your life would end any second now, but you didn't mind all that much, after all, you had already extended the span of life you should have had. And now your life would end protecting someone you love, so you could die without any regrets.
"Brother, I want you to know that what will happen now isn't your fault, nor is it Mothers. Please, just be free, live your life in peace, and be happy," you called out to him, causing him to turn to you in confusion. He wanted to ask what you meant, but before the word could leave his lips, your body fell limp. Quickly, he rushed towards you, hoping you had just fallen unconscious, but as he turned your body to lie in his lap, he realized that the worst had come to pass. What he turned wasn't his sibling, it was a puppet of wood and wires. Gone was the animation in your face or the faux skin on your body, instead it was all just wood and paint. A puppet.
As Inazuma disappeared behind the horizon, he found a new reason for his existence. You had asked him to be happy, but how could he ever be happy if you weren't by his side? He'd move Celestia and the abyss if he had to, would make deals with whatever creature was out there and willing to help, if all else failed he would even return to his mother - everything to bring you back...

ᯓ✿ but you’re not mine
ˋ°•*⁀➷ ei and miko (separately) falling for you while you’re dating the other
ˋ°•*⁀➷ raiden ei, yae miko x gn! reader (separate)
₊˚ angst!! unrequited love, no poly eimiko in this one that’ll be a different fic
the electro archon’s knowledge that you were dating her best friend and the only person who truly understood her would destroy her from the inside out. though her puppet gave a look of indifference, the deity residing within said puppet was anything but. if she could even begin to live up to her citizens’ expectations of her, then would you love her the way you loved the kitsune? ei knew she shouldn’t be so jealous of her only true friend, but she would give the whole world to be the one holding your hand, kissing you, taking you on dates, sharing her snacks with you. having you be just out of her reach was somehow astronomically more painful than the idea of never having met you at all.
the goddess of electro’s love for you was similar to the ideal she ruled over, eternal. the day she finally worked up the courage to confess to you despite your feelings for someone else, a thunderstorm raged outside to signal her inner turmoil. in her artificial throat remained the words she had wished to say to you, but went silent the second they tried to leave her mouth. a love language of averted eyes and avoidance had become the status quo between you and ei, rather unfortunately. if she could tell you how she felt, would you truly understand the weight of the words and what they meant?
for the sake of conversation, could she read your body language? it’s ultimately the best she’d ever get when it comes to you, so it’s best for ei to simply let go and watch you drift away from her. as painful as it would be, it would be for the best. her feelings for you would never truly fade as time went by, the sting of her unrequited love seemed to only grow. loving you from the sidelines had become ei’s unfortunate fate, always making herself cry when she thought about it at the wrong times. she would love you endlessly for the rest of her time living, just say it’s over and let her turn off her feelings and retreat back into her meditation.
in her own time, ei would stop taking control of her puppet so often when you were around. those sparkling purple eyes were replaced with something lifeless and pained indifference towards you.
to embrace someone’s drifting heart and force herself to smile would always be difficult to the kitsune. hiding her love for you behind a flirty and caring mask, how long would it be before she cracked and forced herself to simply say she loved you despite your dating the electro archon. she knew she wasn’t much more than a subordinate of said archon and the holder of the gnosis, but that love for you refused to go away. miko often found herself forcing the feelings down just before she said something that would even hint ever so slightly at her love for you. with that heart of hers that seemed on the verge of just breaking from the sting of seeing you with ei, avoidance was the best she could do. the day she met you, she became dizzy and frozen and simply held her breath before she said something that would ultimately embarrass her.
oh how miko wished it was her, why were you even with ei when the guuji-sama was right there? she was a better match for you than the electro archon anyway, that much was obvious. even then, it was just a useless fantasy she couldn’t help but hold onto out of a pained desperation that you would be hers one day. she could treat you so much better than a puppet whose master was barely ever present anyway, right? every night, miko is the one you’d be talking to you until you fall asleep, shopping with you and buying your favorite foods just to see that beautiful smile grace your adorable face again. as long as you were happy, she supposed she could find a way to move one eventually. your happiness and satisfaction were always exponentially more important in the eyes of the kitsune. sure, it would be nice if you could just love someone who was more than willing to sweep you off your feet with her naturally flirty personality. alas, it just wasn’t the right time. you clearly loved ei, so there was just nothing she could do.
watching helplessly from the side as you seemed to love ei more and more as the days went by, that was the life miko was relegated to. how could she truly grow to adore the world around her when it all seemed to remind her of you? the least she could do in this situation is bottle up those overly convoluted feelings that no one ever truly wants and try to forget about them. when you looked at her, what was it behind your eyes that you longed to see within her? her poor heart simply shattered when she found out you were with her best friend when she had loved you for so much longer. such is retribution for falling so helplessly in love with you. why couldn’t she just tell the truth so you didn’t have to lie?
the things she would give to be able to hold you close, have you fall into her the way you did in her best dreams. she knew deep down that in the end, it would never be her turn. maybe one day she’d at least be able to express those feelings.

✎ saints.
ft. raiden shogun/ei & scaramouche.
content: angst, spoilers for ‘inversion of genesis’ interlude chapter act iii (sumeru’s interlude) as it’s heavily based on scara’s lore, mother/son relationship, parent trauma, insinuating that raiden and scara meet, not proofread
w.c: 1.5k words
notes: this is my first individual work omg (and it’s scara angst oops.) it’s based on saints by echos which is one of my favourite songs <3 i added the specific lyrics that i associate with them both!
rain has always been prevalent in inazuma, she thinks as she watches the downpour from beneath her parasol. the grass below her feet is glittering, raindrops mirroring the moon’s glow. thunder roars overhead followed by a crack of lightning that illuminates narukami island. her gaze falls on the shadowed outline of tenshukaku. she considers it an honourable place to reside, to hide her face from the population of inazuma. somewhere that she can meditate in the plane of euthymia with little distraction but what is honour in the face of her sins? her crimes?
the raiden shogun. her own title brings a lump to her throat. another crack of lightning brightens the night sky and ei looks to the sky in a feat of hopelessness. she feels anything but the electro archon at that moment. she feels like timid, her actions outweighing the exalted front she puts on around others. the sakoku decree, the vision hunt decree, the plane of euthymia… what exactly was she hoping for? eternity, of course but who’s eternity? it was surely not those of her people. ei’s cold hand grips the handle of her parasol, the soft pitter patter of the rain landing above her echoing in her silence. would it be wrong to admit a fear of eroding as if she could prevent it? yae miko would laugh in her face right now.
the silence surrounding ei shifted. it was not broken nor interrupted but the air was tense, horrid and hugging at her vulnerable fate as if she was being tortured. glancing to her right, further along the cliff a flash of lightning illuminated another human form. she blinked. was she to feel relief and joy? or perhaps she should feel anger that he should be here in her home - her own country? her knuckles turned white from the grip on the parasol’s handle, taking in a sharp breath that stings her lungs.
“so you return to inazuma once more,” her voice cuts the silence, authoritative as ever, “have you come to mock me?”
she hears it faintly over the storm, his sickly laugh at her words. he lifts his head, indigo eyes meeting hers. he hasn’t changed a bit from the last time she saw him, she refuses to spend another second considering how much he mirrors her, how much he resembles her in the slightest. her ideals for her puppet did not wander far after his creation.
“it’s only fair i get a free pass to mock you after all these years, mother.” he’s full of spite and anger, ei believes he is rightfully entitled to those emotions. there’s venom dripping on his tongue as he mockingly calls her mother but ei is quick to scoff, turning back to her view of inazuma city as if he wasn’t there.
acting as if he didn’t exist again? scaramouche snides mentally, his arms folded against his chest. she looks pathetic, standing under a lilac decorated parasol on a random cliff on narukami island. he hadn’t expected to find her here when he tracked her down, a thousand words caught in his throat as he takes in her braid, her eyes that remain the same colour as his own. for a moment, their uncanny resemblances sparks more fire inside of him. more anger, loathing, anything.
“kunikuzushi,” his name - his true name - rolls off her tongue and catches him off guard. it seems she said to herself, however, “you’d be bold to assume i’ve not known of your actions within inazuma.”
scaramouche scoffs. how dare she even utter his name after abandoning him as she did; and to bring up his crimes? months - no, years of preparing himself for this confrontation could not have presumed the audacity she would have in his presence to act coy.
“let me guess,” scaramouche drums the pads of his fingertips on his bare upper arms, mildly damp from the humidity of inazuma’s storms, “you had that fox-”
“her name is miko and you’d be wise to remember it,” her voice snaps. she’s looking in his direction again and he can see the harsh glow of her eyes, “of course. she’s been watching you since i left you.”
he finds it amusing that a god could be angered over something so trivial. she is not as powerful here as she pretends and unfortunately, ei is aware. she is aware that here, she is his creator. she is not the electro archon, she is not beezlebul. she is his mother. ei gave him life, a body despite being something she considered a mere puppet.
“i had the awful opportunity of running into her while you were doing the thing you always do, avoiding reality.” scaramouche takes a step towards her. he does not know what willed him to take such an action, catching the pair off guard as the air is filled with that interrupted silence ei was appreciating before he made his presence known.
“i gave you life when i could have discarded you like an unwanted carcass and yet i hear instead that you’ve been running fatui operations within my country, your home,” ei spits, jarring but nonetheless honest of her true emotions, “to them you may be a harbinger but you are no more than another citizen of inazuma.”
you were standing there like an angry god counting out my sins just to cross them off saying that my tongue was too loud to trust and that my blood couldn’t keep you.
scaramouche scowls at her words, biting his tongue as his nails dig into the palms of his hands. the feeling stings, almost pressuring blood out of the pale skin of his hands but he releases his angered grip before he does so. his tongue pokes the soft inner of his cheek, a vexed smile curling his lips as he stares out at inazuma city in disbelief.
“you have the nerve to stand here and talk about me? as if you are not an archon that abandoned her son, her country? and for what reason? because you are too scared to erode from a title you don’t even want,” he mirrors her venom and ei hears it as clear as day over the thunderous roars above them, “you hid in your damn plane of euthymia with no contact, letting some puppet that runs on rules and laws govern your country while your people believe it is you, their oh mighty electro archon.”
ei doesn’t open her mouth to speak. she doesn’t have the words to snap back at him. her authority is crumbling before her very eyes, in front of her son - no, he’s a puppet. she sneers, lowering her gaze from his face as she takes in his attire. was she just to stand here and take such insolence from someone, something so unimportant to her?
“ah, has the raiden shogun been taken down a knotch?” scaramouche scoffs, letting out another sickly laugh at his mother’s face, “who do you think you’re fooling? celestia? you stand here counting my sins on one hand like you are better than me; what can i say? the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
my dear, you’re not so innocent you’re fooling heaven’s gates so you won’t have to change you’re no saint, you’re no saviour.
ei takes in a sharp breath once more, the cool air of inazuma is harsh on her throat, her lungs and her mind. in the moment of her downfall, she hopes that he got what he wanted; to humiliate her, mock her, make her feel bitter. bitter like the taste on her tongue as her brows knit together and she throws the parasol down to the wet mud at her feet. scaramouche watched in amusement, reeling in the view of being able to torment her for what she did. yet it would never be enough, he would do it again and again and again until it drove her mad. scaramouche was determined to cause hell for her betrayal to her own son, to whom she deems so disposable.
“enough. get out of my face.” the words leave her mouth before she has the thought to consider them, unsympathetic to the way scaramouche’s face softens at her dictatorial turn once more. it bites at him, chewing and pulling at his flesh and organs and makes him scrap the thoughts he’d had seconds ago. so he truly was nothing to her? another face to order around as if she wasn’t the reason his feet wandered teyvat so hopelessly, so ruthlessly. as if it wasn’t ei’s fault that he’d been betrayed by so many, including herself.
so keep your judgement for someone else, i’ve had enough.
by the time the sun paints the sky in hues of oranges, pinks and reds, the cliff is empty once more. the storm has passed, the dark clouds rolling away as a blue sky blankets inazuma in comfort and peace. nature crawls out from its hiding places, chirping and filling the silence with its noise. the people of inazuma would never know what happened that night on a random cliff, drowned out by the downpour.
they would never see the scene of a god and her puppet; a mother and her son.

[If there was anything that Yae Miko hated, it was things that were out of her control. And it wasn’t that she wanted to control Ei. What she wanted was for Ei to stop running. Ei had been avoiding her, she knew this much.
But Ei is a coward when it comes to things like this.
So Yae remains there, hand still outstretched for the ghost of someone who had just left and been long gone all at the same time.
Stay. She had wanted to say.
Do not go.
Stay.
But Ei had fled back to the Tenshukaku, back to the Plane of Euthymia, back to the very place that Yae could never go.

i love fics that go into how yae miko deals with ei’s return after her abandonment.

tis’ i, crepe.. with a very, very, definitely important ask.!!!!!!!!
I was thinking about your bronya & tsaritsa posts earlier today,, and I was wondering if there’s any other characters you think may end up being (or. already are) hi3 expys too? lore/arc wise, or just by design :3
ohhhhhhh you opened up a large can of worms w this one.. ii start visibly vibrating w excitement
general criteria are like. matching voice actors, very similar designs, some overlapping similarities. ie: mei and ei both having things to do with origin, time-fuckery (kinda), having similar designs, both being named raiden, being associated w lightning, sword users, etc. mostly we look at lore for talking about alts :3
lore-wise/confirmed (ordered by nation):
sustainer of heavenly principles -> kiana kaslana (herrscher of the void) of course mhy couldnt go a game without mentioning their favorite child. both share voice actors and similar designs. i also think its really interesting knowing that sirin (whos basically kiana's herrscher persona atp) was the first herrscher of the current era that actively abided by the will of the honkai (this being that exists outside of the honkai universe) and how the sustainer of heavenly principles is likely apart of the primordial one's four shades <- which again. the primordial one and the heavenly principles are pretty certainly NOT from teyvat. images below (note: the upwards pointing ahoge, the eye colors, the yellow powers, the red color schemes between kiana's herrscher of flamescion battlesuit, etc. in order: hi3 kiana HoF, genshin, hi3 kiana HoV, genshin)
venti -> wendy obvious one their names are similar (in chinese the first character of their name is the same and related to weather). they both have some control over the wind w venti being the archon of anemo and wendy being the herrscher of the wind. their designs are also similar if you look at their archon/herrscher forms. wendy's actually from ggz but i dont know enough about hr ggz counterpart to talk about her :( which sucks bc i heard shes written better and w more depth there. visual similarities below (take note: hair, wings, color scheme. in order: hi3, ggz, and genshin)
lore-wise i do think its interesting how HI3 wendy struggles with a lack of freedom while venti is the archon of freedom. (wendy: is wheel-chair bound due to a procedure/experiment gone wrong because of her being a literal child soldier. + being kidnapped by both schicksal and ae + being a narrative parallel to bronya who notoriously struggles with freedom especially in the chapter we meet wendy in)
raiden ei and raiden makoto -> raiden mei also obvious. i dont know where to even begin here. their surnames being the same; both being associated to lightning and thunder; mei and ei being sword-users; even lil things about ei like the fact that she cant cook whlie mei can because mei has a kiana to cook for and ei doesnt!; mei being the herrscher of origin and raiden shogun's auto attacks being named origin; mei having a line about reforging kiana's swords when it breaks as a symbol of strength and raiden shogun's passive being related to leveling swords and polearms. even like story-wise, while i think they did a shitty job w ei, i can see the bits of mei they were going for! the divided identities w mei (the real gentle and compassionate her being represented w makoto, a cold and cruel facade of hers being the raiden shogun, and the in-between version of her that just tries so hard to maintain eternity and change fate as a means of grief being represented with ei). and see. did not include GGZ mei heree bc i dont know enough about her. visuals below (take note the eye color, hair, the red accents in ei's clothing. in order: HI3 mei HoT, HI3 APHO mei, genshin makoto, and genshin ei.)
yae miko -> yae sakura also obvious w their names and designs asjdbjb. also both being mikos, narukami shrine being heavily associated w sakura blossoms, the fox and kitsune inspirations. and!! the medicine-food kiss in one of miko's books literally being something sakura did to kallen. they dont act similarly at all but i think thats part of what makes miko a successful expy. ei acts more like sakura than miko does! and the fact that their stories with losing their sisters and that spurring such intense grief within them is soooooo oughh.... i love eimiko from a multiverse perspective bc i think with it, it allows miko and sakura to be so so linked while also not being very similar, meaning we get more from miko's character if we know sakura but we dont need to know sakura to know about miko!!!! i also of course have to mention the grand narukami sakura tree and yae sakura's connection w sakura trees and grief.. the way the grand narukami's tree is a symbol of ei's grief for makoto AND the site where miko sends off the spirits of the youkai to rest :]. iirc, sakura's GGZ and HI3 lore are similar enough. images below (note: their hair, color palette, ears. in order: HI3, GGZ, genshin)
nahida -> theresa the whitewashing w this one is so ugly it makes me so mad bc story-wise i actually think nahida is a successful theresa alt. i just hate that they used it as an excuse to whitewash her. like. theresa being a clone of kallen whos physical body can only age to 13 and nahida being a small splintered part of rukkhadevata..... nahida being locked up by the sages because they didnt respect her and otto keeping theresa cooped up both because he cared about her and didnt wnat her to get in his way......... nahida being the archon of wisdom and theresa being the principal of st freya......... EVEN LIKE. THE TIME BETWEEN RUKKHADEVATA & NAHIDA BEUNG THE SAME AS KALLEN & THERESA (500 YEARS).. and, of course, nahida's attempts at addressing the discrimination/inequality between the two sumeru regions being akin to theresa's attempts to right otto's wrongs after she becomes schicksal's overseer. also the religious imagery w theresa and kallen veing christian and nahida and rukkhadevata and both being underestimated for their young appearances. not including ggz theresa here. (below is theresa's verdant sky skin, the first battlesuit of hers we see, and nahida. after is kallen and then rukkhadevata. take note the color schemes, braids vs ponytails, height)
al haitham -> su same as nahida it pisses me off so so much they whitewashed al haitham for this. but looking aside from the obvious visual similarities for a sec ok listen hear me out. su's buddhism and association w honkai's realm sumeru AND al haitham, of course, being from sumeru which is a nation heavily inspired by buddhism.... al haitham having connections to mirrors and light.. su literally keeping his eyes closed for the majority of the time......... both being rather quiet...... they do not act similarly though which i think serves them both well :] something abt su having such strong morals and convictions and literally being a fucking hero and carrying a lot of guilt in part because hes a healer who's lost so many while al haitham has a seemingly "uncaring" demeanor (not actually uncaring btw) which is something imparted onto him by his grandma.. visuals below (in order: HI3 su, genshin haitham)
design-wise:
heres a few people have suggested but i just dont agree or theyre only linked through design.
lisa -> rita (fallen rosemary battlesuit especially)
jean -> durandal/bianka
kazuha -> jingwei fu hua
young shenhe, xianyun -> azure empyrea fu hua i do not. get this one tbhes.
theres also welt yang/joachim and zhongli but while i think theyre very fun to think about in tandem from a lore perspective, i really dont think zhonglis inspired by joachim. FUCK I CANT ADD ANY MORE PHOTOS.
#undescribed#sorry i cant describe all of these im very bad at describing fashion#I FORGOT THERE WASA A PHOTO LIMIT LMAOOOOOOOO#asks#monard/crepe tag#anyways HI CREPE ILY <3333333333333 SENDING YOU SUNSHINE TODASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111#hyverse talk

Inversion of Genesis and an Analysis of Scaramouche/ the Wanderer
Ok so I played it about a week ago because my brother forced me to and i was procrastinating because I couldn't think of a name for Wanderer.
And now here are my thoughts on the matter: The second I realised what Scaramouche was about to do I was done. He couldn't actually delete himself right??? AND THEN THE MAD LAD ACTUALLY DID.
Because what was his life at that point? For 400 years he believed himself betrayed by those he cared about. First by Raiden Ei, then the people of Tatarasuna and then the little boy who died.
Raiden Ei doesn't require a lot of explaination: She deemed him unfit to hold onto Inazuma's fate and dismissed him into storage. For what purpose? Unknown really. I'd like to think that she just simply couldn't kill him but was also at a loss. So this temporary - turned permanent solution happened. Ironic for the Archon of Eternity.
Then the whole ordeal with Dottore messing with the people of Tatarasuna to draw out Scaramouche. To hurt him enough to join the Fatui. Mold him into a weapon to bring forth into the war against the Heavenly Principles and bring glory to Sneznhaya.
At the cost of the people of Tatarasuna.
They never betrayed him. In fact they were the ones who were betrayed. Simply because they had the kindness in their hearts to take the Kabukimono/Scaramouche in. His life is a lie. HE was the reason they died. Not of any fault of his own, but just his mere existance as something Other, something Not Human.
And after the final betrayal, the kid that died, he couldn't do this anymore. Once again he opened his "heart", only for it to shatter into a thousand pieces as he was once again alone.
In his eyes, humanity as well as the godly have done nothing but hurt him. He lashed out at the world and the Fatui told him that there was a way to hurt them right back. Make them see him for what he is. Something better than Human, something more than just a Puppet: Divinity beyond the Heavenly Principles.
He has effectifely spit on everyone who cared about him in a way. He destroyed the Raiden Gokagen because it was important to Kiwa and thus in a way his legacy. Has poisoned the people of Inazuma with the Delusions and took part in a civil war that ravaged the country. He almost brought down Sumeru in his bid as Shouki no Kami.
And once Dottore's deciet was lifted? Once again Scaramouche got played the fool. His life is a lie, he has lost most of his power in a failed attempt at godhood and is completely at the mercy of a foreign archon. In light of this revelation, I find it quite understandable that he'd do something as drastic as removing himself from the equation of history. Without him, the people of Tatarasuna would live and the world was rid of one force of evil, or more accurately: a magnet for misery.
In stark contrast once the deletion was complete, Scaramouche ended up as the Wanderer. An on the surface nice and sweet, if not socially awkward, guy.
And yet he is none the happier.
Irminsul only changed the memory of the events, not the events themselves.
Raiden Ei still dismissed him, the people of Tatarasuna still died for him and the child was beyond saving. He has lived the same trauma once again, but without the lense of betrayal.
In a way "Wanderer" was the perfect name for this iteration of Scaramouche. He is without a goal in sight, still grasping at straws for anyone to give him the time of day and see him for who he is. Just now with the lense of "something is missing, something is wrong and I don't know how to fix it". No goal in sight searching for a purpose that elluded him. Something, anything really. I like to think that at least subconciously he knew something in his life was off. The only real difference between Wanderer and Scaramouche at that time was that the Fatui hadn't taken him in. The Fatui hadn't given him a goal in life.
The Wanderer is willing to do anything for even a shred of purpose, going to the locial extreme and viewing human relationships as nothing but transactions. He basically swore eternal servitude as payback for not standing in the rain one time. This is not a functional human we're looking at; this is a floundering shell of a person trying and not understanding why it gets dismissed.
Scaramouche understood it as betrayal. But the Wanderer without his actual memories cannot understand. Every relationship past the child ends up unfulfilling with the people distancing themselves once they realise that that the Wanderer is fundamentally different from them.
Scaramouche didn't just delete himself from history, with the removal of his memories, he has robbed himself of any purpose, identity and sense of belonging.
Once the shopkeeper dismisses the Wanderer, the Wanderer tries to tell the shopkeeper that he doesn't mind, he can work with no payback... he doesn't have anything else to do. But the shopkeeper isn't having it and tells him to scram regardless. Lucky Wanderer, the Traveler is right there to give him a new mission.
And then the quest happens and the Wanderer regains his memories in what I find a quite beautiful scene. A lifetime of recontextualised trauma opens before his eyes and now he understands. It all makes sense now but he can grasp that what happened while not his fault has messed him up. He has done horrible things, has hurt people to lessen his own hurt but now? Now he is willing to cope. Finally there is no "what if I could change the past?" it's over, it happened he cannot go back. He tried and see where that landed him.
This is what grants him the Anemo vision. The knowledge and experience Dottore and he himself have robbed him of has returned to him. Finally he can act on his own. The truth is there for him to behold and he is free to make his own decisions.
Now as the newest incarnation of Scaramouche can he finally begin to heal himself as well as the people he's hurt. Unitinghis new understanding of himself and the world around him.
And he begins with bringing down Shouki no Kami.

eternal grief.
an introspection on ei from genshin impact, focusing on her concept of grief, life and human emotions.
sadly because reading old stories on genshin is hell, a lot of my information has to be pulled from the wiki, my own memory and some videos (i usually love to back up my thoughts with quotes but...genshin is way too tiring to dig up info for, i'm sorry)
will go into spoilers involving the inazuma archon quest and the sumeru archon quest (particularly involving wanderer/scaramouche).
everything mentioned is about ei's feelings on the matter, as i cannot speak for others and their characters!
the creation of the raiden shogun (who will be shortened to the shogun) and kunikuzushi (who will be shortened to kuni) and her treatment of them is something that gives us great insight on how ei processes her grief. for one, we need to talk about why ei is grieving-- and though i'm sure we do all know, i'm going to talk about it in detail anyway.
ei's source of grief is pretty well known: she lost her twin sister during the cataclysm. anyone losing a family member, especially one so close to them, would be torn... but there's a bit more to it than that. for one, ei and makoto have been together since the very beginning, and as far as we know they're the only family they had. second, the death of a god in this universe isn't really as simple as a mortal's death. while they're aware gods can die (based on the archon war, though we don't know exactly what went on during it), ei and makoto lived in relative peace for a very long time before the cataclysm occurred. i think it's safe to say that before this event they likely considered the possibility of the other dying.
i personally believe that makoto realized just how dangerous it was and this was why she went to khaenri'ah all on her own-- or perhaps she believed she could handle it on her own without involving her sister. either way, makoto's care for ei is why she went all by herself, eventually leading to her death and ei taking up the role of the raiden shogun.
so, what does this have to do with the shogun and kuni's creation? well, the biggest thing is what happened when she first created kuni in order to host the gnosis. once kuni was created he shed a tear, and ei deemed him unsuitable for his purpose. i think a lot of people misunderstand ei's motives when it comes to kuni, especially because the two of them have different views of what happened.
while it can be read that she saw him as weak, something to pity, i think there's a bit more to it than that. as mentioned before, makoto went into battle on her own, likely due to wanting to spare her sister's life. makoto's own emotions are what caused her death-- or at least, that's how ei views it. yes, she did pity him, but deep down i believe she was afraid that his emotions would get in the way...that they would put him in danger, just like makoto.
i think it's also important to note that...ei didn't create kuni with the intentions of him being a son, or a family member. if she met kuni (now our beloved wanderer) now and learned that was how he viewed her, i think she would be genuinely shocked. it probably never crossed her mind that to her creation she was more than just that-- a creator. she was a mother, gave him life and sentience, but in her eyes...she is simply a god crafting a puppet. i dont think she would even be against accepting him as family (especially since she gave him the golden feather so that he may return to her), but...can a god like herself really understand what it means to be a mother? it's a foreign concept to someone like her. all she knows is she is his creator, and she truly believed she would give him a better life by stripping him of his duties and allowing him to choose his own fate.
the shogun, meanwhile, was her final product. a (seemingly) emotionless puppet that would follow her ideals. but...the shogun and ei aren't even 1:1. i think this especially hammers home the idea that ei was not only afraid of erosion, but worried that her own emotions would result in her death. she spared them from knowing of her sister's fate, from having to mourn, but if she died there would be no way to shield them from it.
it's pretty common for people to see ei as just the shogun 2.0, but there are pretty noticeable differences. for one, the shogun is very matter of fact, capable of making decisions without hesitation if it means furthering her ideals...while ei's voice is much more soft, and she has a tendency to ask questions. even when it comes to apologizing for the shogun's actions ei hesitates. she believes the shogun should do so-- and though this could be read as her not wanting to take responsibility for her creation, i think it has more to do with the fact that ei is just...not used to being a leader. for most of her life she was an unseen shadow, makoto did all of the talking. even now she stands behind the shogun, acting as a shadow (until post sq2)
tldr: i dont thinkwe should be expecting gods to fit our morals when it comes to how they process things. nya

It wasn’t long though until her sobering thought came to a halt as she suddenly heard the clopping steps of a pair of Geta’s or what seemed like Geta’s. behind her and turned around as she noticed the other before crossing her arms over her chest in a serious but calm manner and spoke up.
“Greetings and good morning, is there something I can help you with?” her monotone voice seemed a bit surprise to see someone else out here with early. though as she took a closer look at the other she noticed their outfit was out worldly and not something you would see in Inazuma so freely.

Character Misconceptions | Raiden Ei
As someone who was exposed to Genshin Impact first through the fandom and only started playing much later, I dreaded starting the Inazuma archon quest. I had seen the myriad of opinions surrounding it, most of them negative, and I was constantly waiting for the story to fall flat on its face.
I won't lie, the Inazuma archon is probably the weakest so far but it is not as bad I had been lead to believe.
The GI fandom has a tendency to flanderize character traits and the popular character interpretation aren't always supported by canon (e.g.: Xiao being reduced to a Sasuke-like emo), but despite knowing this to some extent, I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of depth Ei's character really has.
Ei is an immortal being, the twin sister of the God of Eternity. She used to pose as her sister, leading the armies of Inazuma with her prowess while her sister ruled over the people with her knowledge and kindness. But then, her sister died and Ei was thrust into her role while the people of Inazuma didn't even realize it because they were not aware of Ei's existence or the fact that an archon died since it was outside of Inazuma.
Slowly, Ei lost several friends and, in her grief, decided to pursue a version of eternity that basically equalled to state is, an unchanging life that would remain undisturbed by the passage of time. In her mind, this would protect the people of Inazuma from the fate that she suffered. And to prevent herself from being affected by "erosion", she created a puppet bearing her face and sealed her consciousness in her Plane of Euthymia, where she would dwell for five hundred years.
Seeing Visions as a threat to the eternity she had created, a threat to the permanent paradise she believed Inazuma to be, Ei issued the Vision Hunt Decree, and, at some point, even closed Inazuma off from the rest of the world. However, Ei was also unaware of how her decisions were affecting her people and of the civil war Inazuma was going through.
Once she was defeated by the Traveler, her ideas of eternity were challenged for the first time. She finally saw how her decisions affected her people and she realized how she was manipulated into making those decisions through censored reports. Thus, while she didn't give up on creating an eternal paradise for her people, Ei decided to find a different way to pursue those ideals.
Her story quest starts with her struggling to come up with a solution, and the Traveler offers to show her around the city to get her reacquainted with society. This shows Ei exactly how much has changed despite her best efforts, and as she gets to know her people once more, she realizes that change is not something she can stop and that she needs to come up with an eternity that can coexist with the flow of time. Her first story quest is not the dating simulator it's made out to be and it's also not a prequel to the second story quest. It's a continuation of the Inazuma archon quest — whether it should have been another chapter of the archon quest or if it is fine as a story quest is a separate debate.
Ei is a pretty decent character, with more depth than usual for a female character in Genshin Impact, so it baffles me how much of her is misinterpreted in the fandom. I've seen less of this recently, but I can't tell if it's because I stopped venturing into the fandom much or if things have actually changed.

◟༺✧༻◞ Khaenri'ahn mysterious technique:Puppet-making.
— Raiden Shogun: Character story 2 —
For beings with a perishable form of flesh to pursue Eternity, they must first solve the unavoidable problem of lifespan. This limited time troubled Ei greatly, until one day when a mysterious technique came before her eyes as if by a stroke of fate. Using such techniques, one could create intricate puppets indistinguishable from true life. In theory, this puppet could perfectly imitate everything about Ei. It could surpass the limits of her lifespan and defend Inazuma forever.
— Wanderer: Character story 4 —
Puppet-making techniques had their roots in Khaenri'ah, and his nature as a creation of the Electro Archon made him all the more special. The Doctor was fascinated by this field of study, and, using the Wanderer as a foundational blueprint, would perform research and experiments for several decades before finally attaining the techniques that would go on to form the basis for his Segments.
