7.) i usually edit my fics as i go. if there’s a scene that seemed boring or not needed i’ll cut it out and fill in the area much more simpler. i usually look for any grammar mistakes or mistypes after i’ve completed the fic and then i have it ready to post.

9.) yes!!! i cant make a fic without visualizing it. it’s how i set the mood, emotions the characters feel and what they‘re doing. whatever i’m visualizing i write down in the fic it just feels more personal and intimate that way, like you’re really there sometimes yk maybe im self projecting how i feel when writing

10.) i can almost never truly write plot, no matter how much i’ve studied the word and practiced i still think i lack in that department and i hope to fully grasp the idea of it. setting for the fic is relatively easy to do, something else i visualize and if it doesnt fit i rework it. dialogue is always 50/50 with me. sometimes i’ll know exactly what i want and it comes naturally, other times it’s difficult to know or think of what i want and i’ll need to wait till i get inspiration or else i’ll be digging a hole for myself and not enjoy the fic im writing.

8.) i sometimes do? normally i’d just incorporate things that happen in the reality the characters i write for are from! but if i ever do modern au things i make it much more realistic and take inspiration from things i‘ve seen or events i’ve experienced.

19.) idk if i’ve ever truly used random info? usually whatever i mention is mentioned when i visualize what im writing. one random thing i did mention though in different hcs i did a while ago was itto in a ramen contest and almost choking to death, and when i used childe giving himself food poisoning as a reason he was sick

6.) yes i usually try to, i’ll write just a basic summary of how i want the fic to go, if warnings are in the fic i write those first so i know where it will be going and where i want it to go. though sometimes i let my thoughts speak first and then i refine them into something better

16.) i pay attention to how the character acts in game or through voice lines i’ve heard. i also practice writing short little drabbles that i keep to myself and then ask myself ‘does it sound like ___ or something ___ would do though?’ and if it does that’s how i continue to write the character in fics i’ll post.
