They may not have been exactly the same, but even so… Micchan understood moods like this. Damn did he get it-- But even with that understanding, it didn't make it hurt any less to hear thoughts like that leave Souji's lips. Because even if Souji didn't realize anyone was paying attention, that didn't change the fact that someone was-- Once that muted sound of surprise and familiar nickname left the other's lips though, Minato relaxed just a little… But only so much as to let a little tension leave his shoulders.

"Don't apologize, dumbass…" Despite the seemingly harsh words, they held almost no bite behind them-- Instead just a carryover of that same strained delivery from before. With Souji leaning into him, Minato simply held him that little bit closer… Making no objection towards the ravenette reaching for his hair.

"If things were getting that bad though, you should've fuckin' said something sooner…" Again, it was clear to hear that he wasn't exactly scolding… But, Micchan felt like he had to say something-- Just something to try and stave of the misty feeling he felt collecting on his lashes.

The morning was quiet and warm, slight hustle and bustle from the world outside starting to stir… But, here bundled up the sheets, it was just the two of them. Both awake for a short while now, but neither in any hurry to move… Slender fingers combed through raven locks as Minato let his chin rest atop the other's head. And for a short while longer, that peaceful quiet drifted on…

Eventually, however, Micchan interrupted that quiet to speak up-- "Ne, this is way out of the blue, but…" He spoke softly, not exactly seeming shy, but… the exact feeling was hard to put a feeling on. "I know you might not have thought I'd noticed, since I never said anything, but… I'm not blind to the fact that you like me." Here he gave a slight note of laughter. Hell, it was probably more than just a 'like' at this point, but… It wasn't as easy to coax those words from his throat as he'd like. "Hell, maybe it's something more than that… Which is fine too…" He added after a moment, even if the comment did come sort of mumbled.

"And, just to finally set things straight… I like you too…" With that he held Souji a bit closer, hoping the ravenette wouldn't look up and catch the pink dusted across his cheeks. "It's just that… up until now, I've felt too damn scared to come out and say it. Too afraid that something would go wrong… too scared to admit that I trusted someone else like that…" Here Micchan couldn't help but curl up a bit, lightly folding himself further around the smaller form in his arms. "But… Since we've made it this far, I think it's safe enough to let myself admit that I do trust you that much."

"Mmh?" A soft questioning noise moved through the blonde at first, noticing Souji reaching over towards him-- Once the other's touch slid into champagne colored locks, though, Micchan couldn't help but give a light chuckle.

"What, did I not straighten out the helmet hair enough?" That chuckle shifted into a soft laugh as he joked, but even so-- the blonde seemed quite content to let the other preen him a little bit.

"Oi, Souji~! Did I catch you home this time?" Calling for the other as he stepped through the apartment door, he'd expected Souji to be there based off the texts they'd exchanged earlier, but still... After last time, it didn't hurt to check. Upon hearing some movement in a near by room, however, and a chipper voice call back, he couldn't help but chuckle some.

"You don't have to rush with anything you're up to, just making sure you were here this time." Shaking his head lightly along with a subtle grin, Minato went ahead with setting the box and bag he'd brought in down on the coffee table, before settling into a seat on the couch. A batch of marshmallow cookies, and a teddy bear were admittedly kinda cliché gifts in a way, but... Knowing Souji, that wouldn't really matter.

it was set up for Minato when he came in, sitting on the table with his name written on a piece of paper.  Souji hadn't gotten back from his errands, and he'll be horrified to know that he did in fact got there after the other, but He needed to get a few things for dinner and had to run to the store.  So in his stead, the strawberry chocolate bark stood there ready for consumption, the first part of his valentine's.

Now, even with being aware of what day it was, Minato hadn't really been expecting any sort of surprise when he'd made it to the other's place after that little text ivite. But, then again... With Souji around, he probably should have. Initially surprised that the other hadn't greeted him when he'd come in, only to realize a moment later that he must've gone out.

Knowing Souji, probably for groceries... Because of course he'd want to cook, right? Chuckling to himself with the thought, golden hues then landed on the plate waiting on the coffee table, and the little note tucked beside it.

"Guess I shouldn't be surprised by this either, huh?..." Thinking aloud as he breathed a slight laugh, the blonde lightly tossed his bag beside the couch before setting his helmet with it, flopping onto the cushions afterwards and reaching for a piece of the waiting chocolatey treat.

It was left out, so he might as well enjoy-- RIght?

I’d say they definitely have a setup, with Micchan being the dominant one between them. Granted, there are probably times he’d let Souji have a little more control if he wanted it, but generally speaking Micchan is dom lol

If he was being honest, Minato hadn't really planned on decorating much. Seeing as the month had been a little too busy for him to really find the time for it... But, with Souji over, and the other ending up insisting on helping... It wasn't long before the blonde found himself caving.

Sighing a little, though just in a way that expressed lingering tiredness, he was soon enough busy with hanging a few strands of garland. "Since you're so hyped about this, you're gonna with the tree too, right?" a playful question, as his gazed flicked toward the box of ornaments that was still waiting near the tv. Once a strand or two had been pinned up, however, Minato was going to pass by Souji and into the kitchen for a drink.

However, noticing the other stumble a bit as he went to step down from the chair he'd brought over, Minato stopped and hooked an arm around him. "Hey, careful--" his tone snapped a little, but with a soft sigh he gave Souji a gentle squeeze. "If you wanted to hang something high, I would've helped ya know?" being curious as to just what Souji wanted to hang, though, gold hues flicked upwards. Minato then gave a small snort of laughter at spotting the dangling mistletoe.

"If you wanted a kiss, all you to do was say that." a chance to reply to his teasing wasn't really given, though, as the blonde soon went ahead with planting his lips over Souji's.

"My favorite part of Souji’s? Hmm...” Minato trailed off into a soft hum, thinking for a moment before gold hues shifted to the side, a light sigh slipping him.

“This sounds cheesy as hell, and I kinda hate that, but... Probably his smile?... I Dunno, there’s just something about seeing him smile that’s infectious. And I like that...” His words ended in a semi-murmur, cheeks tinted a light pink hue as Minato hid pursed lips behind the heel of his palm.

Somehow, an almost usual by now, exchange of kisses had snowballed and shifted into something else entirely... Maybe the drinks earlier that evening were to blame, maybe it was down to Souji having been a little bold during their shared state of lessened inhibitions. But, regardless of just how things had ended up this way, the outcome was maybe not all too unexpected...

Both of them now suitably worn out as sweaty forms were tangled in the sheets. Well, at least they'd ended up in bed rather than still being on the couch... An amused, but still slightly winded chuckle slipped Minato with that thought, shifting a little as he turned to look at Souji. "Ya know, this wasn't exactly where I expected we'd be heading earlier... Not that it's all that unexpected either..." he laughed a little, pulling the other from beside him, and up onto his chest instead. Fingers soon combing through and gently toying with long strands trying to stick to the other's back.

"But, it was totally worth it... Seeing as this was pretty great~..." he hummed a little, chin resting atop Souji's head, quiet for a couple moments before he spoke again. "Plus, I learned something fun today... With you being a little squeaky toy and all." a teasing comment and chuckle, that was no doubt likely to get some sort of fluster out of the other, followed by an unnoticed smirk pulling at his lips. Minato then nestled his cheek against Souji's hair, yawning just a little. "Ne, when we feel like showering later... You want any help?" a soft question after a good bit of silence again, but, the blonde felt he might as well extend the offer.
