So, I've been reading your NiGHTS fanfic series for a little while, and I'm curious about something: Considering that Jackle being rather unorthodox seems to extend to food preference, what kind(s) are The Mantle's favourites?

Lemon. Specifically lemon. Iffy on other citrus. Prefers them candied but could probably eat an entire one straight up with only minimal face scrunching. Kind of hard to tell without much of a visible face though. LOVES those lemon and powdered sugar cookies. I can't figure out what those are called, internet can't agree. I'm specifically thinking those lemon ones the girl scouts used to sell. Savannah Smiles according to the internet.

They're probably like the one Nightmaren that would be able to somewhat stomach savory foods enough to try them. I feel like if there's a sweeter variation of takoyaki they'd really enjoy it.

Definitely likes "weird" human sweets like edible flowers and chocolate cheeses.

In that vein, would like sweeter kinds of cheese. Cheese with fruit can be a banger combo imo (sheep's milk cheese with orange marmalade is still the best cheese I've ever eaten). Most of their siblings would be grossed out by this.

Not a ton, but a few!

Leo and Emma are totally besties after the plot's over even though in ficverse Emma was one of the people that needed help and wasn't in a protagonist/hero role. He sleeps over at her house a ton and they hang out like all the time. (Balan dotes on her when given the opportunity.)

In that vein the cast from Leo's show hang out like all the time and have a very healthy support network outside of the theater twins.

Tims are actually Positi, the name choice is one part plot twist because the theater twins are huge nerds like that, one part because it's easier for younger guests to say.

Different colored Tims have different affinities but a massively expanded color wheel and appearance options from what we see in the game. Tims can be any color with any amount of different variations in pattern and accessories (ie Emma's Tim with multi-color sprinkle markings). What each Tim type does I never fully worked out due to the gameplay not adapting into fic well, but red Tim's like Leo's first Tim Bruiser are the best at fighting.

Leo eventually grows up to become a theater teacher and a summer theater daycamp instructor. Totally does his own dance choreography. Definitely inherits Balan's dad tendencies on a long enough timeline.

Relatedly, Leo ends up playing the hero across multiple shows to help others out with their problems and even after growing up and moving out on his own he still drops in to help with the occasional show when needed.

Leo is not the first kid Balan adopted that has gone on to help others. How many kids? It's been 3000 years. The answer is 'yes.'

Balan is a total dad I will not be swayed from this. This man is a father. He is not immune to puppy-dog eyes when kids ask for something. He does suffer from light foot in mouth syndrome at times though since he doesn't always think through what he says before he says it.

Meanwhile Lance is the cool aunt/uncle/nuncle and is immune to puppy-dog eyes. They are, however, not immune to bribery.

Among the other things that seem to pop out of nowhere, I hear that Harris is apparently "very pro-cop" as a reason why we shouldn't vote for her. I would like some clarification about that and also maybe reasons why we should be voting for her, just for the naysayers.

The Kamala cop thing comes from her jobs as San Francisco District Attorney and California Attorney General, and the fact that Kamala and Cop have a kind of ring to them.

the fact that Harris had worked on enforcing the law was used against her in the height of "Defund the Police" but ultimately was pretty unfair, just quickly I found an article from a public defender about Harris progressive record to be short as both DA and AG she fought to scale back incarceration, she refused to seek the death penalty, she wouldn't prosecute marijuana possession cases (back in 2004), as DA along with then Mayor of San Fran Gavin Newsom she took part in the city's short lived gay marriage moment in 2004

here she is in 2004 marrying a nice Lesbian couple, over 10 years before gay marriage would be legal nation wide and 8 years before President Obama announced her supported it.
