Thought I'll post this here since been reading a lot. No, I never get exhausted on creating lore for any storyline. I've been in mcrp space for 10+ years, believe me when I say... I have ideas I really do. Issue is I'm not allowed to write that style of lore like im used to.
It wasn't a choice I was allowed to make but I make work with my writing. Especially since atm I love what I do. This is my job and I'll do my best to make a quality episodes.
Whether it's in the m c r p space or in v r or my own content. Please know that I we'll never run out of creativity for stories. I love characters.I love the environment. And I love how much i'm allowed to do. Certain careers, I work for allow me to write my own things that eventually become fan favorites. While others, I must listen to the rules since they are my clients. I never, ever run out of creativity, or else, how will I pay my bills🥺
I draw, Va, Body act, edit , make blockbench models and write. I do a lot since in the end of the say I wanna be supportive to my friends and clients. Many know me without even knowing me. I've been behind the scenes helping where I can since 2015 on projects with multiple people! So let's clear somethings up:
There seems to be a lack of communication with us.
TSBS fans of Femme:
I should paste here since im assuming majority are not not in the server. Femme Nights has shifted to Roblox. Was not by choice but unfortunately we roll with the punches. Davis is no longer at femme as writer. He is still around for other channels and for his health chose to drop femme. (Dude works on so many channels... so makes sense to drop one)
Flora and I have been the ones taking care of Femme since. So we'll support him same way he supported us. (I better not see a rumor that he hates us. My bestie is over worked plus I mod for him. So... we all friends who help each other. Also he is marring my bestie☺️) I've taken on the mantle as writer for femme while Flora has been overseeing my work and coming up with concepts( we are both figuring out our workload behind the scene🥺) I just got sick and tried of everyone just assuming we "ran out of ideas" or "oh this is a break bc they are overworked" Clearly we haven't met! 😈
Regardless, I promise each video isn't done with the intention of being "baby" we are trying our best with videos. Concepts that are wayyy more but we are hired to work here. So we have to listen to our boss. I can't promise lore will return the same way as VR. I can promise is giving a story and being entertaining. Flora and I hope everyone can understand that part.
Now with that said I know we will be losing a good chunk of the fan base. Hell ive read the comments and heard the hate you've posted about this. I do not blame anyone for leaving and dropping femme! I also don't know too much on roblox but I wanna be better! I wanna thank you folks for allowing us to grow in VR storyline. Now if you stick around please do it for Flora and myself. I promise you I'll do my best together. We just need some patience and positivity. Some actually good criticism then we hate it. We already talking on how we can add some certain characters. Storylines and expand. (Again we are trying so don't quote me. I wanna suprise you if I get the ok.) im excited, excited to see this through but Flora and I need your support.
Personal:
Now if you wanna see me more active please go to Twitter for me or join my live on twitch(Kainabunny). I really enjoying my time here and won't talk against fan bases I don't know. However, I'm trying to step up and understand the fan bases I work for. So please any questions about how I work or projects I don't mind💙 ( won't lie felt a little insulted you guys assumed Davis would leave a channel without someone who can keep up? Dude once I get approval on certain storylines I guarantee you'll adore what's to come!) Seriously, you guys should go do a little research on the projects ive helped. Most likely was the reason I've made you cry in the MCRP community 😅😅😅
Sorry for the rant hope everyone enjoys!!!

Okay but can we please appreciate Dedra and how hard she actually tries? She grew up with no role model of love nor the social mirror of how romantic partnership works and that shows, but you can't say she wouldn't put any effort:
- She let Syril live with her under one roof between the same four walls.
- She wants to fulfill the expectations and meets with Syril's mother and she is trying to charm Eedy and connect with her.
- When Eedy doesn't stop insulting Syril and Dedra sees that he is not good at handling the situation himself, she steps up for him. Dedra could think what a loser he is for not saying anything and that someone like this isn't worthy of her time or attention, but instead of that she solves the situation for him.
- Dedra could involve literally anyone for the Ghorman project, she could pick some reliable agent who would infiltrate the Ghorman Front, perhaps even better than Syril, but she chose him. Whenever it was an act of her trust or just wanted to give Syril the opportunity to grow professionally by doing his part, they could work together now and I think Dedra saw a promising future for both of them here, even though she never wanted Ghorman in the first place.
- "It is good to see you happy." She didn't look or sound happy herself, but I believe this would be such a meaningless thing to lie about she wouldn't bother to say it at all if she didn't mean it.
- Is one hour enough to meet someone after months of being apart? No. Did she use the time for being as close to him as she could? Yes.
- Assuring Syril that once the mission is over, they're going home. Together. To collect their reward for the good work for the Empire. And looking at him with the only thing that was close to a real smile.
- She didn't look right and left before kissing him, she just did. On a frequent hallway where she was paranoid people might hear them talking. Dedra didn't think about someone seeing her professional mask slipping away and seeing she is actually a human (I know, very questionable) and smooched her boyfriend. And the lights were on✨
- Begging and reasoning instead of pushing him away when Syril snapped. He yelled at her, grabbed her shoulders and squeezed her, choked her, threatened to throw her through a window and Dedra didn't think about having him arrested and punished or 'at least' break up with him here and now. She still tried to have him stay by her side, to finish this and go back home with her.
- She panicked when Syril left and ran outside in the eye of the storm and she ordered to bring him back, to NOT let him get involved because she knew he would be in a mortal danger
Whether you like it or not, Dedra was in love. Manipulative, twisted, reserved and sick form of love, but still love. She tasted the most dangerous and most addictive of all poisons and wasn't immune against the outcome.

LIVED your edward and jacob hcs! would u be able to write more🫣 like more about what turns them on, teasing/foreplay, favorite positions, how they are in bed, and aftercare
Oh absolutely love 🫶🫶 thank you for the request anon ❤️❤️❤️
Tw/cw: human!reader, fem!reader, a bunch of filth
Not proofread
Edward
What turns him on?
Stupid question. The answer is you. And anything that you do, actually.
It's really not difficult to turn him on. Genuinely, just look at him a certain way and he's melting.
If anything, I think a nice, black and red lacy pair of lingerie would get him going more than usual.
Teasing and foreplay?
Foreplay is a really big thing for him, especially when you guys just started sleeping together.
He definitely loves eating you out, no doubt about it, but he enjoys slowly fingering you during sloppy make-outs more.
As for teasing- not really his thing. He likes things sensual, and he doesn't want to tease you at all because he thinks it ruins the moment a little bit.
Favorite position?
Id hate to say it but- missionary.
Cmon chat him and Bella were literally seen in missionary all throughout breaking dawn you knew this was gonna be my answer.
Overall though, he likes the view, he likes that you can scratch up his back easily(he's a bit of a masochist). Edward is a simple, traditional man. Nothing wrong with that.
How is he in bed?
Gentle; to the best of his abilities, at least. He tries his best but he sometimes gets slightly more rough than he would like. It usually only results in slight bruising and a horribly broken bed frame, though.
Edward is definitely more on the quiet side when it comes to making actual noise. I think you can definitely bring some noise out of him, but usually just small grunts and the occasional whimper. It gets freakishly silent on his end at points, though.
Aftercare?
Again- gentle.
He'd run you a warm bath, ask if you needed a drink or a snack, hes very focused on your well-being.
Afterwards, hed dress you up in loose pajamas and cuddle up next to you, waiting for you to eventually fall asleep.
Jacob
What turns him on?
Definitely any sort of extra skin showing. Upper thigh, cleavage, or god forbid a little bit of your tummy is exposed for half a second- Jacob is internally screaming.
Scents are also a big thing for him. He's a werewolf, so naturally he'll be able to pick up on scents better than the average person. I think he'd definitely be able to smell your arousal coming from your panties- and that would definitely make him hard just thinking about it.
He'd also be super into pheromone perfumes; but I think that coincides with the aforementioned hc.
Teasing and foreplay?
Foreplay is definitely a more rare thing for Jacob, but he still does it. For him though, he's usually just fine with dry humping you until you're so soaked he can feel you through your clothes.
He LOVES eating you out, though. Specifically if you're sitting on his face_ but he's fine if you're laying down. He just has preferences.
As for teasing; it's constant. There isn't a single point during sex where he isn't commenting about something. Whether it be your face when he does something, how your body twitches, or how desperate you sound, he's saying something about all of it.
Favorite position?
You thought I was gonna say doggy huh
Jacob likes lotus. It's face to face, he can grab you all he wants, he can smack your ass and see your face contort in pain- it's a dream come true for him.
I definitely think he likes 69 too but that's only because you're sitting on his face 🤷
How is he in bed?
Rough, but not overly rough. Like I said before, he'll spank you, grab at your thighs harshly- things of that nature. But I don't see him as the type to get violent where it leaves marks.
I do think he leaves hickeys though- but that's as far as he goes.
As for volume, he's loud. Grunting, moaning, whimpering? All of the above within a very short time frame. All that while teasing you, no less.
Aftercare?
Simple. He's usually just as tired as you are by the end of it, so don't expect anything too extravagant.
He'll get a damp washcloth and clean you up, usually hand you a bottle or glass of water, and then crawl into bed with you.
Like I said, it's simple, but it gets the job done. He usually kisses you all over your neck and collarbone until you fall asleep, too. Which he follows soon after.
A/N; I'm so tired ugh kill me please

Boyfriend!Sunghoon x gn!reader
Fluff
Warnings: kisses, guy is flirting with y/n, jealous Sunghoon

Sunghoon is the type of boyfriend that is taken as cold from strangers. Only people who have talked to him know that he isn't as cold as he looks. You, on the other hand, are pretty loveable from the start. You smile a lot, and people think that you're extroverted even if you're not, and that's what makes many people like you... or even...wanna flirt with you...
It was a warm Sunday morning. Today, Sunghoon was gonna take you out for a walk and get you ice cream just like always. You got ready and made sure to be extra pretty just for your loving boyfriend.
When the time came, Sunghoon texted you that he was waiting outside, and you sprinted to the front door.
Once you opened the door, you were greeted with the cutest smile ever. You melted on the spot. 'How can he be so cute~?'
"Hi princess." Oh, that damn nickname. It slipped so easily out of his mouth without knowing how much damage it caused to your heart
"Hello, pretty boy." You smiled at him as you stepped right next to him
"Ready to go?" He kept smiling, and you just stared at him features
"Baby" he chuckled. "Are we gonna leave, or are you gonna stand there and stare at me?"
"You're too handsome...can't help but stare" ooooh he was blushing. All because of a small compliment that was just pure honesty
He cleared his throat and gently took your hand in his guiding the way
"So how has your day been?" He asked just to strike a conversation
"Oh, you know, just woke up, couldn't wait to meet a certain boy... you know basic stuff. What about you?" You gave him a teasing smile
"Oh well, pretty much the same, got up and wanted to see a certain smiley face"
"Cute~" You said while pincking his cheek, making him chuckle and pull away from your grip
Once you reached the ice cream shop and got your ice creams, you went to your regular spot near a small fountain. You were so interested in your ice cream that you didn't notice that you had ice cream at the corner of your lips. Sunghoon noticed, and he was debating on whether he should just help you out with his thumb or...well, thought number two was much better since he just went straight for it.
He just leaned in and pecked your lips, tasting your ice cream right from them. You were shocked and quickly blushed at his actions. Of course, he noticed that too and couldn't help but chuckle at your cuteness.
"It's pretty hot, isn't it?" You just hummed agreeing to his question while you continued eating your ice cream.
"How about I go get us some water, hm?"
"That would be nice, actually." You smiled at him
"Be right back"
As you watched him leave you suddenly felt a presence close to you
"Hello" the presence said. You looked up and found a guy looking at you with a not so friendly smile. More like a flirty one. The ones that you couldn’t stand.
"Um, hello," you reluctantly said
"I don't wanna sound like a creep, but I was looking at you for a while and hoped for that cold dude to leave you alone for a bit"
"Cold dude?" You raised a brow
"Yeah, that guy that was with you. Damn he had a stare. He literally had a beautiful being next to him, and he was cold as ice. " You started to get angry but controlled yourself, knowing that even talking to him was pointless.
"Anyways, I think that you are really pretty and wanted to ask you out so I could show you how someone should treat you right"
'Oh wow, he has some nerve'
You were about to answer. Probably rudely, but you didn’t get the chance since someone else did for you
"The only person that can treat them right is someone who loves them and not someone that is just seeking for attention"
Okay, Sunghoon was mad mad. 'Why so hot? Wait, that's not the point' you thought to yourself
"Wooow, and do you happen to know someone better than me? You literally had them next to you and never made a move on them. " The guy was getting mad, but Sunghoon was insanely calm. Scary and hot. Enough with those thoughts!
"Well, I don't have to" Sunghoon said with a straight face
"And why is that, huh?"
Sunghoon didn't respond, just leaned down and kissed you. Not too hard but hard enough for the guy to understand that you were taken
Once he pulled back, he smiled cockily at the guy
"Does that answer your question?"
The guy didn't say anything, just left cursing under his breath
"That...was...hot..." You quickly covered your mouth. The one thing that you were thinking about this whole time and certainly didn't wanna say out loud just slipped out.
"What?" He was just staring at you with a...small smirk on his face?
"Nothing!" You quickly said already red
"You think that I am hot?"
"Well...no"
"No?"
"Yes!"
"Decide" he chuckled at the way you were trying to cover your words
"Well, YOU were jealous." You pointed a finger at him
"No, I wasn't. I just don't like it when people think that they can have..." he leaned closer to your face. "...what is mine" he smirked at you, knowing the huge effect he had on you
"You-you ughhhhh" You gave up. There was nothing you could do at this point. The only thing that you could do was think of jealous Sunghoon and how down bad you were for him. He might have denied it, but it was obvious that he was jealous... and you loved the looked that he had on his face...mad...hot...protective...hot... possessive...did I mention hot?

yoooo revaliiii waddup. Happy pride my dude
ummm but speaking of pride, I’m thinking of coming out to my family next week. My mom first because I feel like she’d get me most.
I’ve been scared to for as long as I’ve known I was bisexual. Which has been like, four years. I’ve just never gotten to telling my family yet because they’re religious (albeit not strictly, but either way).
I have literally zero way to support myself if they reject me/cut me off, even though the chances of them doing so are highly unlikely. I’m just scared. What if it harms my relationships? I just don’t wanna loose what I already have.
sorry for dumping that all on you, but you’ve probably come out to Teba and Saki and others. I just don’t know how I’m gonna look myself in the mirror if they say I’m something unholy or unworthy of love. Which, again, probably won’t happen, but the threat of it is keeping me from saying anything. My family is everything to me and if I lose that, I might lose myself
best regards and happy pride, master revali!
'Coming out' as bisexual isn't something Rito typically need to do, in fact most would consider bisexual to be the norm amongst our people. Even back in my day before the Calamity, it was rather traditional for male warriors to bed one another the night before important battles for good luck and prosparity, and most women had relations with other women around the village while their husbands were away on missions for weeks at a time. Many Rito life bond with others of their own gender identity - I beleive Nekk and Huck who run the Braizen Beak armour shop in town are pair bonded.
However; I can understand that in Hylian culture it's rather a taboo thing - and I am not without experience in hiding...other aspects of my quer experience from those around me for the purpose of safety.
Your desire to express yourself and to be accepted by loved ones is rather normal, however I would advise against making any decisions until you are certain of the security of your position. Safety comes first, unfortunately
Perhaps you could broach the topic first in an unsupecting manor. Bring up in conversation that you have a friend or colleague who has an interest in multiple genders to guage their reaction. Ensure that you yourself present the topic in a positive manor - people often mimic the emotions of those around them, and if you seem alright with the concept then they are more likely to react in a positive way too.
If they do respond in a neutral or positive manor, perhaps continue the conversation by querying if they know or have met any other queer people. You may find yourself suprised that despite one's religious beleifs, they've lived full lives you undoubtably know little about - which could include brief questioning of their own sexuality or periods of friendship with others who live vastly different lifestyles.
Perhaps even bluntly query that if you or one of your sibblings had questions about their sexuality, would your primary caregivers still support you? It's not giving them any immediate indication to react poorly, but should give you a confidence in whether or not this is a safe discussion for you to have.
Rest assured, whether or not your blood relations respect or support your life choices; there is a rich community of queer individuals all over the world - accessable to you easily from home through your household purah pad. Even if you feel unable to safely confide in your parental figures, there are plenty of individuals out in the world who will always have your back, and as you grow and someday become able to leave home, you shall be able to find your own chosen family who shall accept you for all of you.

#Never come out to someone unless you know you are safe okay#Search out a queer community online and if possible in real life using local queer resources#I know things are scary right now especially in the US and it's so important to keep yourself safe as a priority#I hope that your parents accept you#but if the worst happens please remember that you are valid and incredible and absolutely not alone in this#It's sad we live in a world where we have to be cautious of the places we can express our true selves in but we can still be proud#and keep fighting the best we can to keep making things safer#revali#tears of the kingdom#breath of the wild#age of calamity#legends of zelda#rito#rito village#pride month

Hey just curious about something, i really liked the brothers arc, but then at the end Saxon tells Lochlan that it’s ok to worship him but not “that” way. Are we not considering that as the end of the chapter from his side? Lochlan might have been interested for whatever reasons like teenage confusion, hero worship, sexual attraction, felt led on by Saxon. But it’s a big no from Saxon is what I felt. And then Saxon also asks to drop it, nail on the head. Saxon seems to keep Lochlan around to boost his ego since no one else admires him and that gets to fucked up levels. Still, that is possible. But there’s no attraction towards Lochlan, as per what Saxon said.
working on my lochlan magnum opus but i'm gonna answer this one real quick-- i have a response here for essentially this question, so you can read that, but i want to add here that saxon's words mean NOTHING.
saxon definitely does cling to lochlan in thailand as an ego boost and a pet project since he isn't allowed to work after their phones get taken-- he's clinging on to his "at-home" personality up to that point, still being strange and inappropriate with his brother in the way i detailed in that ask as well as using lochlan as a captive audience and grabbing his dick while he talks about horny women, but after their phones get taken away saxon turns from that into really, truly working to get lochlan laid. and with that comes a switch where saxon begins being handsy as hell and deeply strange with him:
(setting aside saxon's horrible word choice for now...)
saxon brings lochlan into the adult world ("young. fucking. come." "shut up and drink this. they don't care. it's fine. just take it."), then immediately going back to kids games with "follow the leader," just like he does so many times throughout the show, like tickling piper in their first scene and then talking about her genitals, talking about sex and then doing a funny walk while he tucks his dick between his legs before he smacks piper on the head, saxon is PREOCCUPIED with childish behaviour in adult contexts. i think a large part of his obsession with lochlan and piper's virginity and lochlan's youth in particular is a feeling of reliving his own, whether he regrets the way he lost it/how young he lost it or whether he regrets his choices from 18 to now, following blindly in timothy's footsteps, developing no real personality. his deranged childish/sexual act could be anxiety over getting older. maybe it's a desire to return to youth. maybe it's a fetish because he's seen too many "barely legal" porn shoots.
ANYWAY-- episode 6 is called denials. we open the episode with saxon remembering bits and pieces from the threesome, which you can see detailed here with analysis based on how he reacts to them, notably hitting his breaking point and throwing up when he realizes he got off while locking eyes with lochlan. he's definitely feeling violated, but there's a gradient to his reactions that we can observe-- and when you look at the shots, there's an argument to be made that those shots are following saxon's eyes and saxon's interest, since it's his memories from his point of view.
when saxon goes down to the beach and realizes chloe remembers the threesome, and worse, that chloe is going to drag all of it out in front of chelsea, he's LYING. we, the audience, already know he remembers enough of that night that he can't claim he blacked out completely. he says, "i don't remember that!" well after we see him remember the handjob, and he begins the conversation denying that it counts as a threesome because it was with his little brother.
subconsciously i think he does view lochlan as an extension of himself, which contributes to him being so floored that lochlan would reach out and touch him, but... that was a threesome. saxon made out with chloe (at least twice) after spending a whole night working to get her to fuck his brother. saxon stayed in the bedroom, took his shorts off at some point between lochlan kissing chloe and lochlan fucking chloe, and just kind of hung out watching his brother lose his virginity.
that conversation goes on, saxon trying out all the denials he rehearsed in his head all day, everything he's got to justify what happened, and the girls shoot down EVERYTHING until saxon has to leave before he starts crying. every single sentence saxon has said this entire conversation is a LIE, that he KNOWS IS A LIE, and then the conversation ends with him denying that hooking up with his brother/desiring his brother is "a thing, it's definitely not a thing!"
in the context of this whole discussion, where nothing saxon says is truthful, we know this is a lie.
title this "i don't think there's a drug in the world that could make me get with my brother." and put that bitch in the louvre!
all this to say that the gap between the truth vs. what saxon says is a canyon full of boundary-pushing sexual behaviour and teacher/student porn. you're correct that it IS a big no from saxon, but not necessarily because of a lack of desire. his identity is crumbling around him and he needs to cling to the pillars of his false personality, one of which is accepting lochlan's worship, now with a shiny new "NO-TOUCHING" sign added. unfortunately for him, that twink has had it!!!

Feel free to ignore if you don't answer people's doubts about shc but:-
What exactly is the difference between lion primary making decisions based on their internal moral compass and bird primaries based on external sources?? Using the shc quiz's example of "everyone else tells you to make decision a, but you do decision b." A lion primary would feel proud, and a bird would feel guilty.
But who is "everyone" in this scenario? My friends and family? More "objective" sources? While I don't think making decisions solely based on gut feelings is wrong exactly, it isn't always correct. At the same time, many external sources labelled as "objective" can be very biased. Neither is a perfect way of making decisions. I'd say some combo of both is best. Ideally you take in info from verified (by others and yourself) sources, then make your decision based on practicality and your moral principles.
Anyways ,isn't your "internal" moral compass just the sun total of ideas you've absorbed over your lifetime? Whether you agree with the morals held up as valuable by those around you or not, they still influence your "gut feelings" immensely. "Gut feelings" are really just heuristics; the patterns you recognize from previous experiences. So aren't they the same in the end?
Again, I'm not sure if you answer doubts so feel free to ignore.
Of course I do, I love questions like this.
So of course you're right. Lions and Birds are both "external" in the sense that they get information from outside themselves - I mean, that is where information comes from. Lions aren't *psychic.* Lions and Birds can also be equally, massively *wrong.*
The difference is in the way they pick up and process information. To throw some words around, Lions absorb things more through pathos/their unconscious mind. The "realest real" is their internal experience (so, more of a Plato perspective.) A Bird absorbs things through their logos/conscious mind. The "realest real" is their external situation (more of an Aristotle perspective.) Obviously Birds still have "gut feelings" and Lions still have logical observation... and ideally those those two things will always be in harmony. But if they're not... if you are forced to lean on one, which piece of data you feel better/safer/more moral using?
That's what the test is getting at with the "everyone else tells you to make decision a, but you do decision b [because it feels right]" question. A Bird is going to feel.... anxious, like they didn't have enough time to make an informed decision, like they must be missing something. A Lion is going to be more chill. There must be a reason B "felt right," and even if they can't articulate it right now, that's okay.
There a lot of "tells" that help me tell a Lion from a Bird. Birds are able to articulate, explain, and back up their positions (they also usually enjoy doing this.) But a Lion will often be surprised that they care so much about something, their Causes sneak up on them. It's messier and more emotional when they pivot, and they do this thing where they... sort of change their mind on a lag? Like Lions will do something, feel the feelings it generates... and only then realize that no, I can't do this anymore. I love this bit from Les Miserables:
The thing is - and it's a strange phenomenon (...) - in stealing money from that child [Jean Valjean] had done something he was already no longer capable of. (...) this final bad deed had a decisive effect on him, it suddenly pierced through the chaos in his mind and cleared it.
Bird causes are usually interrelated, while Lion causes are more chaotic and random. Lions are honestly fine making snap decisions, but Birds hate it. Birds are more vulnerable to gaslighting, while Lions are more vulnerable to scams that play on their emotions and cause them to panic. Birds are more likely to get into conspiracy theories, Lions are more likely to get into the occult. Birds especially hate hypocrites. Lions are more bothered by people who are pretentious and holier-than-thou. Birds have this interesting quirk where they think of their "past selves" as essentially different people, while a Lion is more likely to angst about finding their "true authentic self." A young Lion probably had some version of the "chosen one" fantasy, and I've heard several versions of the young Bird "book" fantasy (ie - I wish I had a book that told me the correct thing to do at all times.)
You can often spot a fictional Bird because their Truth/their System lives outside them: it's their job, their religion, their code of ethics. A lot of the time it'll be a literal list of rules that they made for themselves. Fictional Lions are often coded a little magical, someone with really good "street smarts" or instincts. Or like, literally a jedi. But as with everything, the reality is more complicated and nuanced.

how would you describe robs personality? im currently on my yearly tawog hyperfixation and i love hearing people yap about my favorite character
HEE HEE HEEEEEE >0)
so first of all, i think one of Rob's most unique and defining traits is how serious he is. he definitely has a smug sense of humor and isn't against silliness, but he just doesn't take many things lightly. as a result, he's never lazy and is always very, VERY determined to get what he wants.
this relates to his habit of being extra and melodramatic, which is also a key character trait for him. in fact, it's shown in one of his first lines (after being caught in The Nobody).
he might not be the first person you think of when you hear "emotional", but honestly, he is. he usually embodies the "fight" of the fight-or-flight response because he doesn't let his guard down easily; he has trust issues for sure.
the trust issues in question have been shown as early as The Pony. Rob was pretty quick to assume (accurately) that his "friends" gumball and darwin didn't remember him at all. this was probably caused by his low self-esteem as well, which seemed to be there long before the series of void incidents.
moving on, it's a bit difficult to say whether Rob is an introvert, extrovert, or something else. we know he's not shy and doesn't have social anxiety (unless there's a particular reason for awkwardness, e.g. The Ex) and even seems to enjoy attention at times. despite this, he spends a lot of time alone and can even be socially oblivious. he has a habit of acting like people know what he's talking about when they don't.
i believe he's an extrovert, but he feels discouraged from trying to make friends, due to his aforementioned trust issues, low self-esteem and bad reputation.
on a surface level, i know "low self-esteem" contradicts the arrogant, selfish behavior of "Dr. Wrecker", but we know that Rob hates himself. in the face of complete, undeniable failure, all Rob thinks is "this is proof that i'm worthless". it's seen The Nemesis where all 563 of his traps fail, then in The Rerun after he winds up in the void. in the latter episode, he's so consumed by self-hatred that he isn't just apathetic to being rescued, he avoids it at all costs.
basically, Dr. Wrecker has the same motivations as Rob, but he's an alter ego, a self-caricature. Rob doesn't really think he deserves to steal a million dollars, or flood Elmore just for fun.
of course, Rob is also completely self-aware. not only does he know he's fictional, but he was able to hijack Cartoon Network. that would be another thing that could discourage him from making friends, but that leads me into the next thing: he cares about people anyway!
sometimes, the wellbeing of some people isn't his top priority (like in The Future when he's working for a greater good), but he cares. he never hurts others without some kind of reason, even if that reason is not justifiable. and despite his whole "revenge" motivation, Rob can be incredibly forgiving and patient, even with people he supposedly hates like Gumball.
still, he isn't as mature as he might seem. no kid his age should be fully independent with no support, but he is. he's prone to making impulsive decisions that end up being dumb in the long run. and of course, his way of doing the whole villain thing is very childish.
and that's it! i can't think of anything else to say lol. thank you for this ask, i LOVE to yap

HAPPY 14 YEARS OF IPKKND!!! God! Isn't 14 special? So, here's a little something for it... Click on the link and dive in....

Blazing Garnet
Khushi's fingers couldn't get enough of the fabric that belonged to the gorgeous maroon saree that lay beside her and her eyes stayed fixed at the dainty diamond set that accompanied it.
She was expected to attend this fancy charity auction with her husband, and so these had been sent over from AR. She didn't know whether the event had been organised in the last minute or she had been shoved with the information that she'd been joining, in the last minute. Either way, she was in no mood to attend a Gala. But, did she have the option to sit out? Absolutely Not!
She sighed in resignation. The happenings of the previous day had completely shaken her and left her feeling numb. She had told the truth and Arnav had chosen not to believe her. There, Khushi was still stagnant there, still unable to process what he thought about her. How could she? How could anyone? He'd questioned the very morals around which she'd built her whole life, the very base of her belief system.
It felt like life had been drained out of her and her insides felt like they'd been iced to numbness, expect a fresh jolt of pain ripped through her everytime she thought of his accusations.
She couldn't feel anything, not the tears she'd been shedding, not the anger that'd been simmering underneath nor the disappointment that'd been lingering, She couldn't feel anything but the raw glaring emptiness that was eating her from inside out.
She had thought, proving him wrong would make her feel better. The only way she could do that, was to involve her family or have the snake confess and either way was out of question. She'd finally resorted to trying to convince him, speak sense into him.
So, she had spent the whole of the previous day at his office waiting hour after hour to talk to him, she hadn't got the chance to and suddenly she hadn't felt as hopeful anymore. When he'd finally come home, not only had the words failed her, but, she'd let him have the final say! He'd told her to only do what she was told to do by him.
Or, her efforts had been subconsciously half hearted to the least, because, she could no longer see what the point was, what she would do if he decided to still remain unconvinced.
So, Khushi had decided on it. She was going to follow whatever he asks of her until the contract comes to an end. Because, there weren't anymore fights left in her. She convinced herself, lesser the drama, easier the parting.
That morning, when he'd instructed her about the event, she simply nodded, no questions asked and she could see it, the glint of surprise in his eyes, when she hadn't offered any resistance.
With only an hour left before Mohan could pick her up and drop her at the venue, Khushi willed herself, to get up and get ready.
It was time for Khushi to become Arnav Singh Raizada's Wife, a decoy no less, with the over-priced saree and the expensive jewellery and all the glitz and glam. She was pretty sure, she was going to feel horribly foreign in her own skin and she was going to hate every bit of it. But that was what Arnav had wanted and she was going to give him that!
°°°°°°°°
Arnav paced back and forth in front of his car. He was at the venue and Khushi hadn't arrived yet. He was getting frustrated by the minute.
That very familiar tiny rational part of his brain reasoned 'You coming early to the venue, doesn't mean she's late. You had barked at her to be here by 6.30 sharp and it's only 6.15..'
But, he couldn't the shut that voice out as easily as before. He had confronted her, exposed her, that meant the voice should have stopped existing all together! But, instead it had gotten louder, clearer, persistantly ringing, telling him that he was frustrated at himself and not at her!
Along with his conscience, something else was also bothering him, something about Khushi, about her behaviour. It didn't sit right with him. She'd been looking so..so lost, so not herself... So much so it was beginning to scare him. He had deemed it all an act to her face, that she only portrayed herself pitiful. It'd stung him after he'd uttered those words, maybe because he truly didn't believe in them. Even that, hadn't elicited a response from her either.
'Or you finally managed to break her' the voice spoke up and a chill ran down his spine.
Her version of the events, it made sense to him. It fit ... infact a little too perfectly. How could it be so, if it wasn't all concocted?
'But, What if it wasn't?'
No! He couldn't think like that! Because, that would mean he was wrong and how could he be wrong? He had seen her, heard her. Yes, he had. He couldn't be doubting his senses, Could he? That meant what he'd thought about her was right? Why was he even questioning all this? Why was he beginning to distrust his judgement?
Arnav's hand flew up to massage his temple. Eversince, that fateful night on the terrace, his head and his heart had constantly been in battle and after yesterday it had only gotten naggingly pulsatile.
In his peripheral vision, he caught the glimpse of a Raizada car rolling in. He sighed in relief walking towards it.
The car parked on a clearing and out, Khushi got down and Arnav stopped dead on his tracks.
He could feel the world around him blurring, fading and she ensnaring the entirety of his focus. He was being held captive, by even her subtlest movement, the mere flicker of her eyes as she assessed the surrounding.
Swallowing hard, he cursed under his breath. How had he not thought this through? He'd asked one of his designers to send something over to his wife for the event. Of course, she had chosen one from the latest collection - The Forbidden Rose, that was inspired by Khushi and extensively developed with Khushi in mind. His staff didn't know that, but, it was their newest collection, so, it only made sense to choose from it.
The deep red fabric was dotted with an ombre of crystals along the edges to mimic dew on roses - just like the ones he grew in his carefully tended garden. The diamonds she wore were delicate vines entangling each other around tiny red garnets , ending in a teardrop, with matching drop earrings.
Ofcourse, he'd envisioned her in this attire when he'd overlooked the design. But, nothing, nothing could have prepared him for this. She was just simply breathtaking... simply ethereal...
The colour on her, perfectly illuminated her skin, drawing out the warm honey of her eyes, softening her features. The fluid drape, clung to her in a way that it left little to his imagination. Her hair rested in gentle curls over her shoulder and he couldn't take his eyes off her even for a fleeting moment.
And, like she'd felt his gaze bearing her down, her eyes flew to meet his. The earth stilled beneath him, a silent, short gasp trapped in his throat and something heavy settled on his chest.
Her eyes carried a frailty, an unsurety, breaking a little something inside of him. She quickly averted her gaze and headed in his direction. All the turbulence in his mind, suddenly withdrew and only the aching reminder, he'd done this to her, remained.
°°°°°°°°
Honestly, seeing Arnav at the venue before her, she'd expected some berating her way, but, that hadn't happened. After she'd met him at the parking, he'd simply led her to the entrance. Then, all they had to do was their well rehearsed dance of an ideal couple.
Khushi's heart felt much lighter, now that the event had got over. She usually quite enjoyed social gatherings, but, this one had wrecked her nerves. This had been nothing unlike the ones the Raizadas usually organized. But, she could socialize in those events. Today, had been suffocating for her. Because, she could feel it, people walking around with the air of sophistication. Usually, she wouldn't be bothered by it, but, today it'd felt like she was way out of place in this crowd. Maybe, it was an uncomfortable reminder of how different his world was from hers and how delusional she'd been to think she would fit in.
But, she'd managed to handle it. She'd tried to channel Anjali Di and her sister and it had somewhat helped her.
All that was left to do was get to Shantivan, get out of the saree and jewellery and get it ready to be returned to AR. So, Khushi spent the car ride back, keeping count of every turn that led to the mansion.
Arnav felt more perturbed than before. She definitely wasn't herself. She'd been nervous and so unsure of herself throughout the evening, very unlike her. She'd spoken only when spoken to, kept her replies curt and smiles polite. That was all.
He should be okay with that, but he was not.. He couldn't convince himself that it was all an a act as well. Because, he could see it, her trying to hold herself together for the sake of the party.
Khushi usually would've made everyone fall in love with her, charmed them into conversation, blended in effortlessly in her own way.
At the least, would've gotten people to sign up as customers for her catering service.
Yeah right! she had decided to no longer run the catering service. A pang of hurt clenched in him, his thoughts ran haywire.
"I'm the daughter of a confectioner and the wife of a businessman"
The memory flashed before him. How adorably had she claimed the rights of being his wife, when she'd begun her catering venture. She was now letting it go.
"Half of the room is yours, half of it is mine"
How confindently had she gone about decorating his room with all her knick knacks, making it equally hers in the process. Now, it was all gone, the chimes, the stars, even the damned poster... She had decided to make their room, his again.
And it was killing him in the inside as she'd gone and done that.
It wasn't just about her business or the room. It was as if she was undoing everything they'd built upto this point - however flawed, however wrong, it had been rightfully theirs and she was detaching herself from it, from him.
So much so, she had decided to make his Khushi into this ghost of a person.
And, whose fault is that?
Arnav clutched the steering wheel hard. His inner voice was right... He was responsible for this, and this was his punishment... What hurt him more was, she was punishing herself as well...
He glanced at her, she was gazing out the window but watching nothing in particular.
The pain was getting unbearable.
No... He decided, bringing his attention back to the road. He shouldn't care this much. He couldn't...This was a liability, this was temporary.
Maybe, he was reading too much into this or maybe, this was how it was supposed to be for the remainder of the contract period. He'd have to get used to this.
°°°°°°°°
The agonizing silence from the car had followed them into the confines of his room as well.
Khushi, watched as he carried out his routine- the one she had memorized. The shoes near the TV unit, socks in the Laundry basket, then the tie would come off, followed by the waistcoat, then he'd reach for his closet. It was the same everyday, except today he seemed more over the edge than usual.
Khushi contemplated whether to ask the question lingering in her mind. Judging by his demeanor, it didn't seem ideal. But her mind reminded her, that it was always going to be this way. So, she braced herself and let the words frame a coherent question.
"Will your staff come to pick the saree and the set, tomorrow?"
Her voice cut through the room, claiming his attention. A tinge of annoyance bubbled inside Arnav, at the words. What the hell was she getting at? He'd just managed to put thoughts about her, past him and she comes up with something like that?
He couldn't care less about such triviality, Could he?
"Just keep it! I don't care what you do with it, Okay?!" He snapped, grabbing a towel and heading to the bathroom, slamming the door shut!
The day's vexation finally got to Khushi. She settled before the mirror, hurriedly but gently getting off the choker and earrings, placing it in the box that it came with, and kept it on the coffee table, where his office bag sat.
She perched on the edge of the dresser bench, trying to calm her restless heart. Her hand pulled out the bobby pins that held her hair and tied it into a bun.
She stared at her reflection. How could he ask her to keep it? Like she was after his stuff or something?!
A whimper broke out of her lips and hot, angry tears clouded her vision. He closed her eyes letting them spill, taking in deep breaths trying to will away her agitation.
She didn't realise how long she sat like that, before she heard the click of the bathroom door. She needed to get up and get going about the day. But, moving her legs had become a task in itself.
Through the corner of his eye, Arnav noticed Khushi standing up from the dressing table, wearily moving across the the room and the familiar twinge of hurt consumed him.
He sighed. He needed a distraction, he concluded. He couldn't let this keep affecting him. He needed to work himself to exhaustion, he thought, settling himself on the recliner. That was when the jewel box caught his eye. The one with his company's label.
Something ticked off in him. "Khushi, wait!" he said in a low voice.
Clutching the box, he walked to her "What are you trying to do?" He asked, holding it out to her. His voice had a steady calmness to it.
Khushi tried to be as unfazed as possible, before she spoke "I'm not doing anything... Arnav Ji " she uttered, trying to side step him. She wasn't ready to do this now.
"I asked you to keep this." he stated, blocking her.
"I don't want it."she answered numbly, her eyes fixed to the floor.
How he hated when she spoke without meeting his eyes.
"Khushi..." He took in a deep breath. Something about her was keeping his temper in line. "Look at me, listen to me...please..."
She took a moment, as if deciding something, but then her eyes found his and she didn't miss the hint of softness in them.
"It's no big deal, it's just a necklace." He emphasized.
Khushi shook her head, denying. It wasn't just a necklace, and her defiance definitely wasn't about just a necklace.
"It's because of what I said the other day, isn't it? That you get to reap the perks of being a Raizada! " He questioned, his tone still steady
"No..." She replied, her gaze shifting back to the floor
"Then, what is it? What are you trying to prove?" He could feel his patience beginning to slip away.
That question stirred something inside Khushi. Her eyes shot to meet his... "Haven't I already told you, I have nothing to prove?" she asked, her voice heavy.
She could see his face tense up, his jaw clench.
But, he held his stead. "Oh really? Is that why you waited the whole day in my office yesterday?" He scoffed.
"Yes, I waited! I was stupid enough to think you'll actually listen to me..." She retorted, sounding shaky.
"I don't need to listen to you... I know what I saw, what I heard...."
Khushi cut him off, all the bottled up inside her, seeking an escape. "No! You don't know!" she cried.
"Stop it, Khushi!" Arnav was seething inside, but held on to very last bit of his restraint.
"Whatever you plan on doing to convince me otherwise, it's not going to work. So, I'm telling this one last time, wrap up all this drama." he concluded, gesturing between her and the jewel box.
He turned away, placing the box on the night stand, all prepared to leave the place, when he heard Khushi calling after...
"Yes! Walk away, like you always do! That's what you do best!"
She had had enough. She no longer cared that she hit a nerve. He'd been the one insistent on pushing her to speak and the minute she gave into it, he turned the other way.
That was it for Arnav. That was his final straw.
He crossed the length of the room in two long strides.
"What was that supposed to mean?" hissed Arnav, backing her in a corner, holding her by her arms. The impact, unknotting her hair from its twist.
Khushi's gaze matched the fierceness in his own. "You know exactly what I mean.... You run from reality, because it scares you!... Why else would you be okay with choosing to believe a twisted opinion of me over... " Khushi's breathing was harsh and sharp but she continued, " over the truth?" A sudden wave of fatigue washed over her, her body shivered and tears didn't seem to stop.
Arnav stood rooted to the spot, his face blanching, his fingers sliding down the length of her arms and back to his side. She'd read and recited him like a book and he couldn't deny she was right.
He took one look at her and realised how fragile she was, barely holding herself together. The truth that she spoke of, was not about the wretched brother-in-law, or the terrace and it struck him, it never was, never had been about that.
Khushi's silent sobs slowed and her breathing gradually deepened. Catching a glimpse of him still weighing what she'd blurted, her heart betrayed her once more, a tiny hope blooming in her.
When he finally shook off his daze, his eyes meeting hers, "No...." breathed Arnav, his vain attempt at holding his stand, at his disbelief on her. But, it came out a lot like a plea.
Accepting her truth meant, his actions towards her were unforgivable.
He searched into the depths of her eyes, to find some form of pretense, something at all.
And, like she could perceive his doubts, Khushi spoke again, with whatever little that was left of her "Why couldn't you see it... The truth was right here...I...." She whimpered "I..I have always been here...."
"Always?" he mouthed.
"Hamesha...."
The instant that word slipped out her mouth, he knew to his bone what she was conveying, what her words implied. That for her, It had always been him and only him. Nothing else mattered to him, every doubt, every uncertainty, every baseless accusation, vanished into thin air.
He took a step towards her. And for once, she didn't take a step back. Instead, she was looking up at him, beholding him in her gaze, her breath hitching, her lips quivering ever so slightly.
And, before he knew it, his hands found the side of her face, his lips were on hers
°°°°°°°°
Khushi gasped at the contact. It was supple, tentative, merely a tug sending jolts of sparks through her. But, soon her lips melted into his.
Arnav took the cue to deepen the kiss, eliciting a soft sound from her, sending his senses over drive. She felt her knees give away, her body mould into his, either for support or craving more proximity. Her muddled brain couldn't tell.
His hands slid to her waist, steadying her. The flimsy drape of her saree, giving way for his fingers to slip beneath, his fingertips lingering on her skin in a delicate pressure. While, Khushi's fingers skimmed over his neck and tangled in his hair.
Reminding himself to not get carried away. He gently pulled away, resting his forehead on hers. Her breathing was still uneven, her chest rising and falling , colour blossoming in her cheeks, her clothing barely holding up.
His hand flew up, brushing away the wisps of hair off her face, tucking it behind her ear, before pressing a soft kiss to her temple. The faint scent of her hair, a mix of citrus and something subtly floral - jasmine, enveloped him, a familiar comfort after the storm that'd weathered.
She looked at him through fluttering lashes, her warm hazel orbs, glinting in anticipation and Arnav's world shifted on it's axis. A surge of affection flooded through him. This was the woman who'd seen through his icy walls, who'd seen his darkest, yet, held on to him, anchored him back to her, even when he'd given her no reason to. She was his Khushi. Irrevocably his.
Khushi reached out him, her hand trembling a little, as it settled against his chest, his heart thundering under her fingers. This was beyond surreal for her, like her mind was playing a trick, like if she moved or blinked, the moment would dissolve, he would disappear - again....
"Khushi..." he exhaled, the sound a low rumble against her ear as he pulled her closer, his arms tightening around her waist, as if he'd sensed her thoughts, tethering her.
This was real... He wasn't going anywhere.
He tilted her head back, a soft moan escaping her throat, and she arched into him as his lips found the curve of her neck, lazily tracing every inch of it, sending shivers down her spine, dizzying her.
He could feel the desperate cling of her fingers, beckoning him to face her. Standing on her tip toes, she pulled him into a peck - slow, hesitant, her movements precise, testing, learning.
Arnav leaned into her, indulging in her taste, drinking in her sighs, her intoxicating scent, pushing her threshold, merely parting owing to their lungs.
The whisper of desire, lulled between them. How could they ever get enough of each other, the pull growing undeniably intense. The air around them, crackling with their unspoken yearning.
"There's no going back..." His voice hoarse, words heavy, a statement of both warning and unwavering resolve.
"I know..." she said, her voice a soft murmur against his shoulder, her arm wrapping around him, pulling him further into her embrace.
"Are you sure?" He asked, his voice raw with vulnerability, completely overwhelmed by her blatant trust in him.
"Yes," she nodded, her breath warm against his skin, her palm resting against his jaw, feathering kisses on his cheek. Each light touch, sent an aching heat rushing through his veins..
The last of his self-control snapped, and this time their lips met with an urgency, a new fervor.
Khushi barely registered being lifted off her feet, her back hitting the mattress.
Every thought remained suspended in her head and all she remembered, was the subtle burn of his stubble against her skin, the tenderness of his kisses trailing down her body, the ripple of his muscles under her fingertips, the hum of electricity, coursing through her very being.
And, Arnav cherished her, etching her to memory, completely baring himself to her. Every touch, every caress, every kiss a silent promise of no longer running, no longer hiding, but staying, holding on and making it up to her for the rest of his life.
He'd found his way back to her and he was never letting her go.

Was randomly looking up gemstones one day, and learned that Garnets are apparently symbol of passion, loyalty and longevity. It's safe to say, that inspired this one shot.
Hope you like it!

Neji Hyuga - My Headcanons
I have already spent the past few months or so, writing my own titular, pre-Shippuden, Hyuga clan saga, and now, through a number of interactions with friends and followers on here, and on Twitter, I have gathered a number of headcanons, related to Neji himself. That also took shape for me, while writing the Hyuga Showdown story. Let me run it down.
Neji loves philosophical discussions
His life, as part of the Side Branch, burnmarked him, time and time again, for how often he got beaten down, just for being alive, and bearing a mark, that has done nothing, but repeatedly remind him, how "worthless" he is, according to the Hyuga council. And despite Naruto and Hinata having invoked a feeling of hope in his soul, you just know the nihilist part of his soul starts speaking through him, once he starts quoting famous philosophers, and asking questions about, wether life has any true meaning, whether it even matters, or why humans need the struggle to grow. He is just fascinated over how complicated and nuanced human beings can be, how they face adversion head-on, and choose to either be steadfast and morally upright, or choose to do harm, as a coping mechanism. The same way he used to do.
Neji is really fuzzy about how he presents himself
Neji, in spite of "macho" appearances, is very immaculate and deliberate on how the people around him perceive him. He takes great pride in his appearance, his hair, his skin, his overall posture and form, all of that matters to him, and he isn't even ashamed to admit it, flat-out. This is part in due, how the Hyuga clan generally approaches combat, and the philosophy of "intimidation, through not just discipline, but fashionable dress-codes, and orderly, personal hygiene". Going along with the idea that, you can strike fear and respect in your opponent, if you don't just fight at your best, but you also LOOK the best. That is one part of the Hyuga clan culture that Neji wears, like a badge of honor, and takes great pride in.
Neji is the biggest gentleman, you can ask for
Despite what some non-canon material showed, may it be played for laughs, or just to "slander" Neji's character, whatever, even with the Byakugan granting Neji X-ray vision, being able to look, even through a person's clothing, he never, and I mean, NEVER, uses it to spy on the girls, or look at their underwear. ...Except, maybe for Tenten, but that is to assume that, they are already working towards a relationship, and deep down, she wants him to look, but other than that: Nope. Neji is NOT a Peeping Tom. He is one of the few mature guys in the Konoha 12 group, who always remains respectful of a woman's boundaries. If anything, that title belongs more to Hinata. Because, y'know, she wants get in on some of dat... Fox tail. Know what I'm sayin'? Always beware of the shy ones, they are the most dirty-minded, life itself taught us all that lesson.
Neji is one hell of a bro, too
Not only is he popular with the girls, just for how mature and classy he remains with them, Hinata included, but when it comes to the guys, he is not making them an exception, he is always ready to help out, wherever he could. Even helping the other male comrades, if there is a more complicated problem to deal with, where his opinion is valued by a big margin. I guess you can attribute that line of thinking to how all these years, spending time with Lee and Guy, may have influenced his overall mindset on how to interact with people. Sure, he is stoic, silent and keeping to himself, but when he sees and smells bullshit, he will always be the first one to call it out, without exception, not caring about the feelings of those, who are out-of-the-loop, or the consequences, beyond his control. If Shippuden was actually, you know, GOOD and consistent with the characters, I seriously doubt that Neji would just stand there, and watch Sasuke's character get publically slandered by both the elders, the wannabe-journalists, and the Kage, ESPECIALLY the Raikage, who had the biggest grudge to bear, since Sasuke attacked Killer Bee (even though, that was a clone). But again, if Kishi had cared enough, Neji would have unapologetically sided with Sasuke, all the way through, since he is one of the few, who can truly sympathize with him, outside of Team 7. Not helped at all, by how the Lightning village had once tried to kidnap his cousin, when she was still a child. He wouldn't just stand around and stay silent, because these asswipes were pulling the same tactic that they once pulled on his family. Looking for an easy scapegoat, because it's convenient. He just wouldn't let it happen. He just wouldn't, he is one of the few shinobi, who has actual integrity and moral consistency.
Neji shares the same hair- & skincare products as his cousin
Again, referring back to him caring about his outer image, and how he presents itself, he will always be kindly asking Hinata, if he could rent her hair conditioner, because that long, immaculate mane of his won't be staying FABULOUS by itself. And not just that, I just remember reading one headcanon somewhere else, that he and Hinata keep trading their bodily care products between one another. Neji using Hinata's hair conditioner (I mean, her hair during the Blank Period, I lowkey want to buy my face in that), and Hinata using Neji's facial skincare mask, and you know what? I will stick to that. It just sounds so in-character for them. Dem Hyuga genetics, always looking photogenic without trying "too hard", or, so they say. No, darling! Fabulousness doesn't EVER come for free, damn it! But that also means, Neji is taking huge pride in maintaining that royal mane of his, if you cut it, ruin it in any way, or rip a strand out by force, he will curse you, all the way to your grave. It's just ridiculous, but then again, who doesn't have weird quirks and things one can take pride in, that makes them stand out?
Neji's love language is combing his women's hair
(Artist source)
Once the missions are over, or he is taking a break, and Tenten or Hinata happen to be in his team, or they just hang out in private, Hanabi included, Neji's way of showing how much he loves them all, is by volunteering to comb their long hair. Tenten, Hanabi and Hinata are the only ones to enjoy this privilege of having Neji being their "hairdresser", if you will. And every time he finishes, the girls always return the gesture, combing his long hair in return, too. It's a very one-of-a-kind action, that he purely reserves for those women, who mean the world to him. And yes, that includes Himawari (Screw you, Kishi, killing off Neji was a horrible idea, and no amount of rewrites will ever repair the damage you have done to your own story with the amount of retcons you pulled out of your ass, and what you did to Neji's character, especially post-mortem, so just for how disrespectful his entire death scenario was handled, just out of principle, I will just pretend, it never happened, it's only fair), and if she were alive, maybe even Kushina. He is not serving the Main Branch, he is serving his family, and them alone.
Neji is more of a stay-at-home parent, than Tenten or Hinata
(Artist source)
If there is anything I have truly grown to despise about Boruto, is that, every woman in the OG cast was reduced to JUST the role of a housewife, and barely anything beyond that, especially Hinata. No excuses, this is something, NO ONE, with an ounce of integrity, should have ANY tolerance for. The reason why this is so irritating to begin with, is because, Kishi is not exactly known for having favorable opinions on female characters, right off the bat, so stuff like this, is just annoying and on-the-nose. Not to mention, offensive, too. So, no, let us just get petty, and turn this entire concept on its head. Sasuke, Shikamaru and Neji are the stay-at-home-husbands, who mostly do the housework, while their wives are the core breadwinners. Nuff' said. Because these three, have worked and suffered the hardest (amongst others) in their entire lives, they deserve to just have some peace and quiet at home, keeping their children from making the same mistakes as them. And from Tenten's POV, Neji always felt more like a stand-in housewife, while she is travelling the country to present her inventions to all kinds of science fairs, and selling weapons like a real queen, with toys being the back-up plan. And Neji supports her in that endeavor, all the way through, while he stays at home, and sometimes works as a part-time sensei at the Hyuga clan.
Neji bears the Tiger Fist, while Hinata bears the Lion Fist
Side Branch members are represented, both in their souls and fighting style, by the tiger, while the Main Branch members are represented by the lions. Just a little fun visual on the side. And the Tiger Fist is more about proactive aggression, rather than a defensive, and slower battle plan, like what the Lion Fist has. Not to mention, it glows green, not blue.
Neji loves weapons and cool-looking toys like Tenten
That one is just for the soul. Neji is fully supportive of Tenten's dream of perfecting the arts of weapon-crafting, wanting to see how far her creativity and inventive spirit takes her, and doing anything he can to help. And like everything, the way to a man's heart, is either, through cool-looking weapons, or toys, that are just the coolest thing ever (transformative action figures, interactive toys, where you can press buttons to see something happen, that just tickles Neji's and Tenten's brain), just from design alone. And their kids will be having a lifetime supply of toys to play with.
And this is it. Just felt like doing this, because I felt like it. Because I can. All this for the Neji fandom, and a certain friend of mine, who knows, this was long overdue. And if I managed to make your day, thank you, you're not welcome. I did this for me, not for you...
...Wink.

BSD characters as siblings
Had this one in drafts so here we go
Dazai Osamu
He knew. Or at least, he suspected.
Dazai never trusts coincidences, and the first time your name appeared on a case file, he suspected. Ran quiet checks behind the scenes. Kunikida didn’t even know.
The moment it clicks with absolute certainty that you’re really his sibling, he doesn’t bring it up right away. That would give you too much control.
He laughs it off when you first bring it up. “Is this some ploy to gain my inheritance? Jokes on you, I’m broke.”
He will get used to you though.
Starts leaving really specific jokes in front of you just to see if you’d flinch.
Taught you to pick locks in case you get kidnapped or need to steal snacks.
A notebook titled: “101 Ways to Fake Your Death (Sibling Edition).”
He never calls you “sibling” though. Not once. Not directly. That word means acknowledgment, and Dazai doesn’t do well with emotional anchors.
On the surface, he will act like it’s no big deal.
But quietly covering for you when Kunikida gets too strict, sending you those ridiculous notes with weird advice.
Not because he thinks you can’t manage on your own, but because he cares enough to bother.
Surprisingly gives good advice when you ask for it.
Buys matching sunglasses and says, “We’re undercover now.” You’re just at the grocery store.
In every minor inconvenience he calls you ”biological betrayal”
Kunikida tries to be supportive but he’s absolutely watching you like you might also jump into a canal at any moment.
Atsushi is too stunned like actually. ”You’re… Dazai-san’s sibling? Like… related?”
Yosano just laughs
Ranpo obviously knew but it was fun to watch it reveal the emotional damage naturally.
Fukuzawa just goes ”If you ever need support separate from your brother’s… unique influence, my door is open.”
Kenji is innocently excited
Doesn't he just radiate older brother energy?
Chuuya Nakahara
At first? Denial. Hard denial.
“There’s no way. Nope. I would’ve known. That can’t be true.”
Mori gives him the files. The couple had another child after Chuuya.
He's mad. Not because he hates the idea, but because it seems impossible.
He doesn’t say anything at first because what can you say when your sibling suddenly appears in your dangerous, chaotic life?
He’s always been told he was alone. Manufactured. Cloned. The mafia was his only family.
He tears through records. Old Mafia logs. Government documents. Orphanage rosters. Blood types. Medical files. Everything.
You go from “colleague” or “stranger” to “under mafia-grade protection.”
Suddenly he’s showing up at your place like, “What kind of lock is this? You call this secure?”
He expects you to be tough because family is family. No weaklings allowed.
You’re his equal in battle and spirit. If not, he’ll make you so, whether you like it or not.
He’s fiercely competitive and loves challenging you to things whether it’s a fight, a race, or who can drink more sake. But he never cheats.
He’ll text you out of the blue just to say, “Don’t get into trouble. And don’t eat crap food.”
If you want advice, he’s blunt but honest. No sugarcoating.
You catch him checking in on you during missions more than he lets on, especially when things get dangerous.
He’s softer with you than with anyone else but acts twice as tough to cover it.
Dazai just laughs out loud. He starts asking casual, seemingly meaningless questions that feel too pointed to be innocent. He wants to know if you’re a weak spot. Not for the Mafia but for Chuuya.
Akutagawa acts like he doesn’t give a damn, but he notices everything. Keeps tabs on you not out of kindness but out of respect for Chuuya.
Kouyou isn't surprised. She gives you small guidance, traditional advice, and “He doesn’t say it. But he’s relieved to have you.”
Mori doesn’t speak to you directly at first. Just watches. Smiles. You become part of some silent calculation. A piece on a board. Be careful though because if you ever betray the Mafia he’ll make Chuuya choose.
And that’s a knife you don’t want to put in your brother’s hands.
Kunikida Doppo
It starts with a file. One of those background checks that come with new recruits. Kunikida didn’t think twice about it at first. Just procedure.
But your birthday, your birthplace, the timeline, it didn’t add up. Or rather, it added up too well.
He thinks it’s a coincidence too. But Kunikida doesn’t like coincidences. They offend his order-driven worldview.
•Adoption records. Hospital notes. The kind of paper trail only someone with an obsessive notebook and high moral standards could actually follow.
He pieces it together like a mystery one he desperately hopes he’s wrong about. Because what would it mean, if it were true? What does he do with something like that?
He doesn't tell you right away.
Were you hiding something? Did you know? Would telling you disrupt the team’s balance? Would it disrupt him?
He pulls you aside one day after a mission. He doesn't sugarcoat it. Just showing you the files.
Then he waits. Like your reaction will either validate or completely ruin his life plan.
On the surface? He’s composed. Focused. Back to work like nothing’s changed.
Internally he's panicking, screaming in italics.
"This was not in the notebook. There are no pages labeled: ‘How to Be a Good Brother While Also Maintaining Professional Standards in a Government-Affiliated Agency.’ I am underprepared."
He starts writing new sections in his notebook.
SIBLING DUTIES:
-Always ensure their safety in the field
-Offer moral guidance and discipline
-Do not play favorites (difficult but necessary)
-Pack emergency snacks in case.
He tries not to be overbearing. He really does. But you’ll catch him glancing over at you during missions, checking for injuries before anyone else’s.
He starts calling you out more in meetings to include you.
He cares in a responsibility kind of way. At first.
But he softens over time
You matter to him because you are proof that the world can still surprise him and that maybe, not all surprises are bad.
Also Dazai starts calling you “Notebook Jr.”
Tries to provoke fights between you two on purpose just to watch who will win.
“How to Corrupt Two Kunikidas at Once.”
Atsushi tries not to call him your brother out loud because it feels like a title he hasn’t earned the right to say.
Yosano offers you sibling bonding “advice” that’s basically just, “Annoy him until he snaps and throws a pen at the wall. That’s how you know he cares.”
When it comes out, Ranpo just goes, “Took you long enough”. He also tells you both weird things about each other he somehow knows
Fukuzawa might subtly assign missions that build your sibling teamwork, but he'll never admit it.
Kenji asks adorable questions like, “Do you have matching notebooks?”
Stress level: notebook-shredding.
Atsushi Nakajima
He doesn’t believe it at first. Not out of denial, but out of pure disbelief like it’s too good to be true.
The moment he sees the files your name next to his, your birthday just months apart, the orphanage his breath catches in his throat.
You try to say it gently, like it won’t shatter him but his eyes go wide and he steps back like the air was knocked out of his lungs.
His first reaction is to apologize. For not knowing. For not being there. For being him.
You have to stop him or he’ll spiral right there in the middle of the Agency.
After that? He’s so soft with you it’s almost awkward.
He keeps trying to do things for you. Fetching tea. Holding doors. Doing your paperwork for you.
Constantly checking in like “Are you okay? Did you eat? Are you warm enough? Should I get you something else?”
You’re his only family. The only person tied to his past that didn’t hurt him.
Buys you things he thinks you’ll like, even if it’s just a pen with your favorite color.
Tries to cook for you. Fails. Tries again.
Offers to patch up your wounds even if you’re not bleeding. Just in case.
He doesn't need you to fix him. He doesn't even think he's worth fixing. But you remind him that he isn’t alone anymore.
Dazai starts referring to you as “Little Tiger No. 2”
Kunikida cross-checks every legal record to verify it. He's ’very Kunikida’ about it. Immediately updates your personal files.
Ranpo doesn’t say much more, but sits next to Atsushi for a long time after he finds out. Just keeps him company.
Kenji asks you both if you want to visit his village one day.
Fyodor Dostoevsky
He knew you. He just didn't feel the need to reach out and make it public.
He acts like he’s above you but he’s the first to pull you out of danger like it's his full time job.
He’s not good at hugs. You try once. He pats your back like you’re a centuries old artifact.
if you fall asleep in the same room as him while he’s working, he will adjust the lighting and lower the music volume like you’re a literal houseplant. (You grow best in low light and mild humidity.)
You ask if he wants to hang out and he says of course and pulls out a 500-piece chess set.
Makes you practice chess with him. he destroys you every time, but then pretends to be shocked when you finally beat him once. “What’s this? The peasant has risen? How thrilling.”
Game night is banned after he wins Monopoly by psychologically destroying the banker (you).
He says stuff like “I left you something on the table” and it’s either a slice of bread or a coded message for his wicked plans.
He plays cello late at night sometimes. You wake up to it. It’s haunting.
When you argue, it’s philosophical warfare. He doesn’t yell. He debates.
“Your logic is flawed,” he says, sipping tea like he didn’t just dismantle your worldview in three sentences.
Looks like he’s plotting your downfall, but is actually just trying to remember if you like strawberry or raspberry jam.
100% the type to insult you affectionately:
“Out of all the fools in this world, you shine the brightest.”
“You’re not unbearable. That’s a compliment.”
Dazai treats you the same as how he treats Fyodor. He doesn’t trust you. But he doesn’t hate you either. ”I wonder why he leaves you out. Not very nice of him.”
Chuuya just goes ”No way that trash rat bastard has a sibling” You’re still a problem, sure. But you’re not the enemy.
The moment this reaches to Ango, he opens a new file. You’re either leverage or a threat.
Chief Taneda is calm. He’s seen worse. He’s been worse. “Even monsters are born from somewhere.”
If you’re captured by the government, he tries to learn how much you know about Fyodor.
Chief Taneda does keep you in high security cells. Not because he doesn’t trust his agents but because he knows Fyodor will get you out.
Nikolai is absolutely delighted. “Dos-kun has a baby sibling! That’s hilarious!"
“Do you think he would cry if you died?” “Did he ever smile at you when you were kids? Oh wait you had a childhood?” weird questions like this.
You’re either his new favorite toy or his least favorite disappointment. The line shifts daily.
He calls you “little devil” and “Fedya Jr.”
Sigma is scared of you by association.
Jouno immediately sniffs you. Literally. “You smell like coffins and existential dread. Like him. But softer.”
Doesn’t trust you. At all. For a long time. But over time, he realizes you don’t lie. You barely know how to.
Eventually says something off handedly kind “You’re too pathetic to be him. That’s a good thing.” (Coming from Jouno? That’s affection)
Tecchou stares at you like you’re an endangered animal. Keeps trying to bond with you in awkward ways. “Do you… like horses?”

Sansa, Arya, and the Issues of Choice Feminism and Conformity
There's a lot of discourse surrounding Sansa and Arya, and I'm aware I may being stepping on a hornet's nest with this one, but oh, well. I've seen many of the discussions/arguments, and I think a level of disconnect comes from how people practice feminism. In particular, the idea of choice feminism feels like it's permeating the discussions even if it isn't brought up directly. Funnily enough, Sansa and Arya actually present the perfect opportunity to examine the issues with choice feminism while also examining the attitudes behind both the characters and the people who defend them.
Some of you may be wondering, what is choice feminism? Simply put, it's the idea that the individual choices of women/girls are inherently feminist. Now this idea often gets a lot of criticism since it tends to ignore the very real systemic, societal problems that affect and influence women. That is to say, our choices don't exist in a vacuum. The choices that we make are always influenced by outside forces and pressures that may make us feel like we have to make certain choices. Many proponents of choice feminism will argue that they enjoy things like doing their makeup or being a a stay-at-home mom which is fine. However, they never seem to ask whether they would make the same choice had they felt completely free and able to. I'm not saying you can't have fun with makeup or feel fulfilled being a mom, but these are choices that society expects women to make. Even if you nominally have other options, you are still expected to conform to a certain ideal or risk being mocked or ostracized. And I think a lot of women are looking at these choices with hindsight. You enjoy the thing now, but would the younger you who hadn't made that choice yet really have made the same choice if they felt completely safe choosing something else? The unfortunate reality is that under a patriarchal society, many choices that women make are colored by systemic pressure.
So how does this relate to the Stark sisters? Let's start with Sansa. Sansa is a character that is well loved by many women who tend to enjoy more feminine/girly things, and it's easy to see why. Sansa herself enjoys very feminine activities and is quite good at being a lady of noble birth. This is, of course, where the real issue lies. In the Sansa/Arya discourse, there often seems to be some issue with Arya's dislike for typically ladylike things. Many people seem to think that Sansa should be allowed to enjoy whatever activities she wants. Who cares if they happen to be the ones that are expected of her? And that's the problem. Sansa may enjoy those activities, but not because she chose them herself. These are things that all highborn ladies are expected to do, and Sansa was made to do these activities as soon as she was old enough. Now, Sansa happens to be quite good at them and receives a lot of praise for her talents, so unsurprisingly, she enjoys these activities. Most children would probably feel the same way. However, she didn't choose to enjoy these activities, which is something I think many of her most ardent defenders are missing. They never ask the question "Would Sansa, free of all expectations, encouraged to pursue any activity of her choosing no matter how 'feminine' or 'masculine', still willingly choose to be the same Sansa we see in the books?" The truth is, we can't know because Sansa is a fictional character who is shaped by the world she exists in. Sansa is fortunate to fit quite easily into the box Westeros expects her to and so never questions it.
Arya, on the other hand, struggles to conform to the strict standards that Westeros has set for her. She's constantly told, not just by society, but by the people in her life, that she does not fit what a highborn lady is supposed to be. When she does engage in the activities expected of her, rather than receiving support to help her improve, she is met with derision and comparisons to her better, perfect sister. It's no wonder, then, that Arya finds little enjoyment in these activities and actively tries to push against the box she's being forced into. Like many young girls who realize they don't fit entirely with the standards of femininity that society expects of them, Arya fights back and asks "if not everyone can fit in the box, why are you trying to make them?" What's interesting is that Arya struggles with her femininity, not because she doesn't like being a girl or being feminine, but because she actually does like those things. She hates being referred to as a boy, she likes to pick flowers, she enjoys songs, she even seems to wish to be perceived as beautiful. Arya wants to be able to engage in femininity, but because she doesn't neatly fit the societal standards of Westeros, she struggles to do so. Arya also doesn't have a particularly strong desire to engage in a specific masculine activity, like being a knight, as some people claim. This is brought up in a conversation with Ned where she offers up several options, like being the lady of her own house (not married) or becoming maester. Ned refutes her questions by offering the only option available to her: marry a lord and have his children. Arya isn't expressing a specific desire; she's expressing her wish for options. Arya wants to have a choice, wants to be able to decide her own future, and she doesn't understand why she can't. Arya isn't necessarily opposed to the idea of marriage wholesale; she's opposed to the idea because she has to do it whether she wants to or not. Thus, we must ask sort of the opposite of the question we asked with Sansa. Would Arya, free of societal pressure and encouraged to pursue any thing of her choosing, still feel such dislike for the typical ladylike activities, or would she willingly choose to participate in some of them?
Now we have to look at both of them together and how they interact. As previously mentioned, it seems to me that many people who strongly defend/identify with Sansa feel like Arya's distaste for certain activities is judgemental and pointed. I personally disagree with this, and I don't think Sansa's pov chapters support this idea. Sansa is generally displeased that Arya doesn't like those activities, but she never seems personally offended or acts like she feels that Arya is judging her. Rather, she is annoyed that Arya won't conform and even more annoyed that the adults around her aren't doing enough about it. Sansa is sometimes embarrassed by Arya, not because Arya has insulted her or made her feel judged, but because Sansa fears other people will judge her for her sister's lack of conformity. This is not Arya's fault; it is the fault of society for putting expectations on these young girls. Again, Sansa is lucky enough to meet the standards easily, so she never needs to put any work in to conform, whereas Arya has always struggled and would be forced to change to fit in. And Sansa wants Arya to change. She looks down on Arya for her "wild" behaviors, thinks Ned should be doing more to correct Arya, and fundamentally seems to dislike Arya the way she is. Sansa doesn't examine the restrictive standards of Westeros because she doesn't need to. When people defend Sansa even to the point of saying that Arya does need to change, they are continuing to uphold restrictive, patriarchal standards of what it means to be a woman. They, like Sansa, are blaming Arya for the poor treatment she receives instead of blaming a system that allows for only one type of woman to exist.
HOTD demonstrates this, too, with Alicent and Rhaenyra. The root of Alicent's anger and problems with Rhaenyra is not Rhaenyra's children or Alicent's fears for her own or even Alicent's feelings of abandonment. Alicent holds so much anger for Rhaenyra because Rhaenyra dares to defy the gender roles that have been forced upon them, that Alicent has spent so much of her life upholding. Rhaenyra dares to believe that she is worthy of power and respect just by virtue of existing, while Alicent goes along with her supposed duty with the expectation that she will be rewarded, only to realize that she keeps getting nothing. So she gets angry and hates Rhaenyra because she can't bring herself to hate the men who are really responsible. If she hates them, blames them, then she finally has to reckon with the fact that all her suffering, all her duty was pointless.
Sansa and Arya present a very interesting dichotomy and looking at their relationship allows us to examine how certain perspectives, while nominally helpful, can be harmful. The idea that women who conform are somehow more judged than women who go against standards is one that has persisted, from NLOGs to pick-mes, and one that I have a lot of problems with. At the end of the day, I find it hard to agree that doing what society expects of you is particularly revolutionary and ignoring the way society may have influenced those decisions hardly helps. Often, these ideas tend to hurt all women, even the ones who fit in. We can see this in Sansa and Arya and how conformity and supposed choice affect both of them. Arya cannot be who she wants to be, cannot engage in her femininity in way that feels authentic to her, and is blamed for her own ostracization by others. Sansa is built from the societal expectations around her, and though she benefits from conforming, her potential is lost because she was never given an opportunity to truly choose what she wanted to be. Both are trapped by the patriarchal expectations of Westeros, but while Sansa's conformity renders her blind to it, Arya's rebellion makes it all too visible to her.

The gaslighting on permanence aside, the story motivation was said to be that they wanted to explore if Superman was still Superman with a different powerset.
This betrays profound issues with understanding character and storytelling. Of course he's still Superman. Superman isn't a checklist of powers, or every other flying invulnerable super-strong character would be a substitute for Superman. Superman is Clark Kent, raised by kindly parents, taught right from wrong, who crusades for truth, fights for justice, and helps, always helps, always heads toward disaster. He does that when he doesn't have powers. He does that whatever powers he does have. It's a deeply uninteresting question whether he's still Superman.
Superman is our hero, and that has nothing to do with being Kryptonian or electric blue.
(The real motivation was to juice and re-juice sales, of course.)
Ah fuck I'd forgotten about this. Action Comics 732

"My long-held belief that Duke and Luke should not get along" <- could you please elaborate on this? I'm fond of both and I collect your thoughts and analyses like they're rare trading cards so I'm ready to be all 👀🫳🍿
First of all anon this might be my favourite ask ever, I've been dying to write my thoughts on these two so THANK YOU. Secondly my belief that Duke + Luke wouldn't get along actually stemmed from WFA, I was super annoyed with Luke giving Duke the pep talk in ep 76 because they have no relationship!!! Then I started thinking harder and realised they are a really interesting pair. In case anyone hasn't noticed I'm fond of giving Duke relationships where he's annoyed with the other person so 😭 this is very on brand.
The thing about Duke + Luke is they are, on the surface, similar - they are Black members of the Batfam who operate mostly independently, 'separate' from a legacy as Signal/Batwing (though I will deconstruct this later), devoted to their family, have a strong sense of justice, and view crime-fighting as a business. But I believe at their cores they are fundamental opposites - and it's this hidden opposition that makes me think they wouldn't vibe with each other. I'm focusing on We Are Robin Duke and Batwing Luke, though I will also refer to Duke's Signal days + Luke in Detective Comics.
(This is going to be a long post because this is lowkey my Luke + Duke thesis 😭)
Introductions
Duke and Luke were both introduced in the New 52, actually in the same year (2013!). What's really cool about their intros is that you already see how different they are. We first meet Duke in Zero Year, where he's fishing in the subway and then attacked by a gang; we then get the famous scene of him solving crosswords by Bruce's unconscious body. When Bruce tells Duke and his family to leave, Duke refuses, telling him they can't leave Duke's grandma and that all it takes is one riddle to free the city from Riddler's influence.
By contrast, we first meet Luke in the spotlight as he's wrestling for MMA in Batwing #19. He's been wrestling to get Batman's attention, refusing all job offers from his dad to do so (and thus creating some juicy father-son tension). In Batwing #20, we see he has two degrees from MIT, lives in a fancy apartment, and is really tech-oriented; his cover story for Batwing is that he's travelling the world.
Already, there are a couple things that already firmly separate them:
Class: Duke is from the Narrows whereas Luke is rich
Connection to Batman: Duke stumbled across Batman and gained his attention quite organically, whereas Luke was actively begging for Batman to notice him
Agency: Duke's actions were motivated by the extreme circumstances of Zero Year and a desire to help rooted in his material environment, whereas Luke's is a more internal, abstract wish to help (pointing to their class differences again)
Gotham: Duke refuses to leave his city, whereas Luke immediately packs up and travels the world
Intelligence: Both of them are fiercely intelligent, but in different ways - Duke loves puzzles and riddles whereas Luke is more inclined towards engineering and technology
And these differences only grow as they get older!!
Maturity
Duke is 16 (in my head, canonically it's vague but he's between Damian and Tim so 14-17) and Luke is 23. This age gap is honestly not that big, but I think it would feel big to both of them. And what's worse is that Duke is quite mature, but Luke is said to be immature:
Batwing #23
I don't think Luke is actually immature, but it's a recurring theme that other characters perceive him as unwilling to grow up; and I genuinely do think Batwing, for him, is kind of an adventure at first. Now compare this to Duke, whose circumstances disallowed him being childish. He had to grow up because his parents weren't around anymore, and he became quite jaded as a result. Even after he's mellowed out in his Signal days, I still don't think he could tolerate working with someone who comes off as light-hearted as Luke does. Duke would be annoyed by how he perceives Luke doesn't take things seriously, and Luke in turn would be annoyed when Duke inevitably criticises him for it.
Arc
Following on from above, their arcs are actually in total opposite directions. We first meet Duke alone and disillusioned with everything, putting his whole being into finding his parents. Then, through We Are Robin and Robin War, he begins to understand what Robin means as a symbol and finds community, leading to his brighter personality in Signal comics. Luke, however, begins very light-hearted (as seen above), with a huge respect for Batman and the Bat symbol. Once his family starts being torn apart, though, he becomes increasingly aggressive, more isolated, and in a much darker place. Compare a narration box from the last issues of both:
Batwing #34 / We Are Robin #12
These encapsulate their journeys: Duke learns that he doesn't have to act alone, whereas Luke struggles with accepting all that has happened since he put on his suit. Being a vigilante improves Duke's life, whereas it essentially ruins Luke's. This is why I don't think that WFA ep made sense!!! They have nothing in common in terms of the vigilante experience, and I think they would frustrate each other because they have such different conceptions of what the vigilante life is!!!!!!!
Batman and Robin
Okay so I said that Luke + Duke aren't legacies; even though Batwing is one, Luke doesn't actually talk to David Zavimbe, and his Batwing is not spiritually connected to David's really. But Luke and Duke both do take inspiration from other Batfam members - Batman and Robin, respectively.
Batwing #25 / Batman (2011) #45
Luke is the rare Batfam member whose motivations don't spring from tragedy - he's inspired one night when Batman saves him and he jumps in to help. Luke's love for Batman is wrapped up in Bruce himself, as a person rather than a symbol; he genuinely thinks Batman is awesome and wants to help people under his name.
Duke is the exact opposite - Robin is not a person for him but a symbol, and a symbol that can be spread to many people. It's also intimately tied with Duke's relationship to Gotham, because Batman is "on the gargoyle" and Robin is "on the street". Importantly, Duke says to Darryl that "I know you work for him, but you're us". Working for a singular person is in opposition to this 'us' that Duke believes in.
Luke, though not exactly an employee, literally wanted to work for Batman, Inc. Batwing is in many ways a 'job', an alternative to the corporate life Lucius wanted for him. Duke would, I think, take huge problems with Luke's philosophy as a whole. Separated from Gotham, attached to Batman as a person rather than as a symbol, Duke just literally wouldn't understand where Luke is coming from. And Luke, too, doesn't seem to respect Robin as a mantle (this is after someone mistakes him for Batman in Batwing #34):
I think Luke views Robin as firmly a kids' role, a sidekick for Batman; that would annoy the STUFFING out of Duke. I actually could write a whole post in itself about this incident and Luke being mistaken for Batman but that's for another day. The point is they are attached to the Batman and Robin legacies which in themselves are already vastly different, but Duke is kind of anti-Batman and Luke is a little anti-Robin, so they would not mix.
Family
One thing they do have in common is a deep love for family. But even then, their familial relationships are extremely different: Duke has a wonderful relationship with his parents, bolstered by the fact he lost them for a while, whereas Luke has a contentious relationship with his. Duke in some ways idealises his mom and dad, while Luke is sharply aware of his parents' shortcomings.
Batwing #20
Now this wouldn't be an issue normally, but Duke canonically has, like, a problem with judging other people's families. It's a really consistent (and somewhat hilarious) trait of his:
We Are Robin #5 / We Are Robin #5 / Gotham Nights #8
The Dre comment ("you're a mob kid?") is particularly telling. Because Duke has such a good relationship with his parents, and because he's shaped so much by them, I think he sees children as reflections of their parents/families. It's hard for him to see someone completely divorced from their family - you even see this a bit in Batman & The Outsiders, where although Duke understood Cass' disagreements with Shiva, I don't think he really got the nuances of what that felt like for Cass.
Luke's relationship with his father is complex and contentious. They love each other, but Lucius' desires for Luke just don't match what Luke wants, and Luke can't tell him about Batwing either so it's a constant back-and-forth. This secrecy is another thing Duke wouldn't get - I've made posts before about Duke and honesty, and it's a huge value of his. It's significant that as soon as his mom is healed she finds out about Signal; dishonesty is not really a factor in Duke's life, whereas it is Luke's central conflict. Luke's entire thing with his dad and his alter ego is something Duke has never had to deal with, and I think Duke would just be like 'tell him?? and make up??' and Luke would sigh so loud and hard.
Personality and Authority
But all of that aside, I just think their personalities wouldn't mix! Duke is a jaded teenager whose overt honesty and resistance to authority often give off a bad first impression (see his first encounters with Black Lightning, We Are Robin, Damian, even the Bruce train scene...). People do warm up to Duke quick, and once you love him you adore him, but there's a hurdle to becoming close to him that you have to leap first.
Luke, on the other hand, is affable and immediately likable. He's popular in school (as Russell mentions in #25), has experienced college social life, and is open and friendly. I think in an initial meeting Luke would find Duke off-putting and rude, while Duke would find Luke shallow and annoying. Luke is an extremely confident person, as shown in both Batwing and Detective Comics (particularly the latter). I think Duke would take this confidence as him being stuck-up, especially because Luke is rich.
Their class differences also separate their reactions to authority. Luke doesn't take authority at face value - he disobeys Bruce basically as much as Duke does. However, given his upbringing he isn't that anti-authority. Compare Luke and Duke's attitudes to cops:
Batwing #25 / We Are Robin #2
The Luke narration box is after the cops shoot him and accidentally make him kill his best friend 😭😭😭 like if that had happened to Duke his inner voice would NOT say that. This is another example of how their different upbringings and personalities cause them to have DRASTICALLY different outlooks on things. Batwing also sides with Batwoman when she kills Clayface in Detective Comics, something I think Duke would not do (he would've sided with Cass) so their ideologies often put them on opposite sides.
FINALLY, and least importantly, Luke is not a reader. This is a recurring thing and it's so funny:
Batwing #21
That's Tam telling Luke to "read a book". I think this exact interaction would happen with Duke taking the place of Tam, where he'd just be super annoyed that Luke doesn't enjoy literature. Honestly I think Duke might remind Luke of Tam in a lot of ways, since Duke is Bruce's golden child just like Tam is Lucius'. And that would annoy Luke, like he can't escape annoying younger siblings even as Batwing?? Bruce liking Duke more than Luke, even when Duke doesn't even care for Bruce's approval, would send Luke's blood pressure through the ROOF.
Conclusion
Um anyway I'm so so sorry this was so long but that's why I think Luke and Duke wouldn't get along!! It's mostly that they have such different outlooks on literally everything and their personalities clash. Anyway, if anyone bothered to read til the end here's your reward!! A little edit of what SHOULD have happened in WFA ep 76:
#duke thomas#luke fox#ask#meta#I DID IT I FINISHED IT!!!!#anyway everyone read we are robin and batwing issues 19-25#honestly so annoying when people group luke and duke together because YES they're two black characters but they're SO DIFFERENT#they're actually SO much more interesting as foils because their stances are so radically different#and i really do love them both... i actually think it's GREAT they're so different!!! they're both really three dimensional people#who deserve to have an interesting and complex dynamic#like luke is TWENTY THREE he is NOT mentoring 16 yo duke... i have such a problem with the way the w*fa ep makes luke seem 30#realistically i think luke/duke would eventually get along and they would trust each other#but duke + jace have more in common because of jace's troubled past than duke + luke do#I think duke + tam would also get along better! and duke + tiffany!#imagining duke being invited to family dinner and luke being like ://///////// seriously????#duke + lucius though... i actually dk whether they would like each other. lucius is just so corporate in a way duke isn't#okay another post for another time i hope that answered your question anon!! and tysm for asking it and allowing me to dump my thoughts <33

If you haven't learned by now your brother will mope hard for that girl in every single timeline, then I do not know what to tell you. Rather he didn't lob anything at me, thank you, but advice noted.
It's likely I would have eventually been sent after the Princes and the boy, but I've contributed to his paranoia. Listen, I know it doesn't matter whether I am a demon or not, I understand crystal clear a marriage isn't built on deeply rooted lies. Blair is intuitive and she asked the right questions to grasp the concept of an assassin's tells. My tells. She's also already paranoid on top of that thanks to your Envy opening his fucking big mouth and putting it into her head my Wrath will hunt her down too. Being what I am and why we met...that's not the worst thing I've done, Keilah. A long time back, I had Blair in my grasp, I came this close to killing her before I hesitated for some ungodly reason. Her cousin and Death's little messenger shows up and I had to start wiping memories. It didn't work on Yas, but Cael and Blair? They remember nothing.
Ew, gross. Jesus, he's moping about her in your timeline, too? Cor probably will lob something at you, just duck the moment you see him and get his attention, and you'll be fine.
Ah, man. Poor guy... but at least Lulu has some part of Jo and Gluts to keep him going, along with his son. I don't blame her cousin for being paranoid, not with what you've told me so far. Okay, hush-hush, but I'm going to say two things and then drop it. One, building a marriage on a lie is not a great foundation, Rams. Second, Blair is the daughter of a general, at least in my timeline, whose sole purpose is to know his enemies inside and out, and a succubus who knows how to read people better than most. The girl is going to catch on if she hasn't already, and this... secret is not something you want her finding out from anyone other than you.

Damn you’re delusional. The second a luigi supporter is accepting and is aware he committed the crime, you libtards are quick to say we’re licking boots and not real supporters. Luigi would hate you guys. Alright, I’ll see you in the future when he isn’t with us or when he gets convicted, sadly.
you anon i need you to both hold your horses and hold your vicious tongue. i'll spell this out for you since you have worse reading comprehension than the average person on the piss poor reading comprehension website.
even if Luigi himself says he did it, he deserves a fair trial. he deserves to be presumed innocent. because both of these are rights afforded to him by the constitution of his country. and because even if he did in fact do it, he hasn't said that and he has pleaded not guilty, the prosecution has to actually prove he is guilty beyond any reasonable doubt. and from what we know of the evidence there's plenty of reasonable doubt. moreover Luigi has nowhere not for a single second tried to kill himself. if he had indeed done it and he wanted to kill himself, he had to have had plenty of time before he got arrested – five whole days in fact. he has never shown himself to want to be a martyr or a symbol of a resistance movement that the people of his country can't even organize properly/very effectively. if he did want to make himself a symbol or a martyr like the way you want him to be, he could have simply given himself up to the authorities after the deed was done. he could have confessed everything to the cops, then or at the time of his arrest or anytime in between or even in the future. but that hasn't happened and that won't happen. Luigi and his legal team are fighting the charges and will continue fighting the charges until it ends with him being killed by the death penalty (extremely unlikely at NY), or rotting in prison because of LWOP, or getting acquitted due to a number of reasons. moreover he does not want to die and has clearly shown that he in fact wants to live, and it doesn't matter if he did it or not. he should be able to live. his right to life should not be taken away from him. it is the most fundamental of all human rights. death penalties are the most barbaric tools still kept alive in the modern society to enforce organised violence from the people in power. Luigi also deserves the right to live properly, not just survive somehow in LWOP. because like people like you think, he did it but you support him for it. so clearly you should also be wanting him to be free and to be able to live the life that he wants to live?? but of course not. y'all are dumb that way. also making Luigi a martyr or a symbol of a revolution that will probably never happen (at least not in a country like USA where there has never been a successful revolution in history because the majority population does not know how to organise at all) is absolutely useless. Luigi would lose his life for nothing. the dumbass population which would benefit from his alleged actions (and are already benefitting now) does not really care whether he lives or dies. and most importantly, like i said, he doesn't even want to die, he's never wanted to die. even in prison, he's written in a letter that the lorax is such a fundamental story that it “will be so critical to read to my kids”. the quoted part is me directly quoting that letter word by word by the way. so like how dare you want to take away his life all while saying you support him?? if you truly wanted to support him you'd understand that the letter of the law doesn't matter for his case even if he did it, only the spirit of the law matters and anybody on the jury should judge his case only by their hearts and not their heads. and since you seem to be the sort to think that the letter of the law is an absolutely fundamental aspect and nothing else can come out of it, you seem to be the libtard to me, the sort of person who'd say well he murdered a man and i can never justify it so he should die, an eye for an eye. let me tell you anon, an eye for an eye only works until everybody is blind. and everybody would soon become blind if an eye for an eye is actually followed everywhere in real life. also because you seem to be too dumb to understand a lot of things about how the law actually works, i'd request you to find out what is jury nullification and exactly how it works, you of all people need to learn that lesson because you seem to not at all understand the concept of laws without morals being useless.
#also i'm pretty sure Luigi would hate you more for wanting him dead :) you sound just as bad as Bondi to me so do with that what you will#and even if you didn't understand what i meant by all this i'll just say one more thing#Luigi has a real chance of walking he just needs the right conditions and the law to be followed appropriately#no jury in their right minds would give an unanimous guilty verdict for him#he will definitely escape the death penalty something which shouldn't have been used for him in the first place if laws were actually#followed properly but since it isn't he's facing the chances of the death penalty#also since the death penalty is out of the way realistically the only question is whether he can successfully snake his way into#an acquittal because LWOP is just as bad as the death penalty for a person like him and we know that can happen under the right#circumstances too but we also need to authorities to stop trying to screw him in all directions we can only wait and see if that happens#also since you said sadly at the end maybe if you mend your manners a bit you can become a welcome guest in my inbox anon :)#but for now with your sour tongue and bitter words i'd prefer if you stayed away#and if you're truly scared of the death penalty and came off the wrong way then i can only thank god that the death penalty announcement is#working and by working i mean it's working in his favour and working to protect him effectively#because if y'all are scared shitless like this then yes if y'all make it to the jury he'll 100% walk off if everybody is like you too#asks
