Happy birthday to the king, the unironic babygirl, the only man in the universe that even matters, the man whose countenance takes up a majority of my forearm, the true hero, the gamer, the big bad, the absolute force of nature, the love of my life, the man who was right, the best boy, the fucking alpha and omega—

...and the world's biggest dweeb.

I keep thinking about how Birthday Boy would organize heists and like, other fancy party takeovers (those are his parties now!)

I'm imagining his henchmen (they're all wearing party hats but aside from that it's just standard henchmen outfits) all burst into the room with weapons and such, and then you just hear someone singing "Happy Birthday to Me," and you're instantly aware of who just took over your gala.

And of course when doing to classic "put your valuables in the bag" bit of the heist Birthday Boy declares it "present time" and asks "what did you get me?"

I don't know, I just like the theatrics of it all while making you aware of how bizarre and ritualistic a birthday party is

yeah this is the vibe 100%. every once in a while someone tries to interpret Birthday Boy's crimes as performance art deliberately critiquing the normalized entitlement of birthday celebrants or whatever, but if you suggest this to him he'll just dangle you from the ceiling and start trying to get the other guest/hostages to hit you with a stick.

my only note is that the henchpersons (Birthday Boy is an equal opportunity employer) DO always wear little party hats but their outfits change for whatever event we're hijacking to turn into a birthday party. one of those high class galas that wealthy Gothamites are always having? tuxedos with party hats. yacht party? little sailor suits with party hats on top of the sailor hats. costume party? they're all in different costumes but yes, there's a party hat on top.
