Soldier: He and Demo always try and summon a ghost whenever they have a sleepover. He's trying to convince Merasmus to come along for one of them, as he believes with his super cool wizard powers they'll finally make contact with the undead.

Pyro: They write almost everything in a glitter gel pen

Demo: He gardens extremely well, and reads poetry. (He’s especially fond of Robert Burns’ work, and has a tendency to burst into recitals whenever he’s drank a little too much)

Engie: Has not been seen since 25/7/XX

Heavy: His bedroom used to belong to a young girl, so he's got model weapons next to a mural of My Little Pony characters. He can name all of them.

Medic: He has somehow tamed all of the seagulls at school. He is the seagull man.

Spy: Doxxes people online for fun, or to get back at them for arguing with him online (keyboard warrior), and he once doxxed Sniper without knowing.

Sniper: He streams on 'Itch'. He’s weirdly popular, but he doesn’t show his face or have a microphone. It’s just five hours straight of someone getting perfect headshots (Until he's backstabbed by a certain someone.) He also looks almost identical to the Assassin in BB2, who he mains. The only difference is that the Assassin has much longer hair

Miss Pauling: Colour-codes her notes and organises them extensively instead of revising her subjects.

Administrator: Shows up every 4 years at Christmas time and gives lavish and not at all personalised gifts to her grand nieces and nephews, before vanishing into the night.

Saxton Hale: Used to be the PE teacher while his dad worked as headteacher. He was GODLY to have on your team.

Bidwell: He paints in his free time, and posts his art online

Charles Darling: Head of the posh boarding school at the area. There’s been an intense rivalry between the Darlings and the Hales for quite some time.

Zhanna: Has a massive collection of plushies

Grey Mann: like 95, and has an 18-year-old daughter somehow. And is also still working???

Olivia Mann: Homeschooled for most of her life, but went to Darling Boarding School as a semi boarder for year 11.

Merasmus: Rarely wears eyeliner but always manages to get the perfect wing whenever they apply it.

Scout's mother: She gets almost everything from Facebook marketplace, charity shops, and Vinted. Furniture, clothes, appliances, everything. Also a massive temu victim.

Chevy (C!Heavy): Ooh he's mysterious - mickey

Beatrice (C!Pyro): Her old school ws set on fire. Despite almost everyone knowing that it was Beatrice, it could never be triased back to her.

Greg (C!Demo) and Greg (C!Scout): They are in all of the same classes and also share a last name (Smith), so it gets confusing at times.

Ross (C!Soldier): Does cadets with Soldier, and plans to go straight into it after secondary school

Virgil (C!Sniper): Like Mundee, he will and can headshot you 10 times in a row on Band Bastille 2.

Fred (C!Engineer): Before the summer he was mainly just good friends with Virgil, who was a part of the 'Classic' friend group before he fully joined at the start of year 11

Matt (C!Spy): No one knows why he doesn't go to Darling Boarding School, as his parents are quite posh.

Steven (C!Medic): Was one of the nicest students in school before he left, no one really knows why he hung out with Chevy or any of that gang in fact.

hi sorry to bother you and you don't have to answer if you don't want to but I was curious as I've heard some stuff about the reasons ed stopped doing his double act with ray peacock but you seem like you'd know more so I was just wondering if you could elaborate what happened?

I've had a few questions like this from people and sorry I've never answered them before but I was never quite sure what to say to be honest.

It's obviously quite sensitive for both sides and is not something I feel like I should comment on as they both kept what happened mostly private.

However, I do understand I probably know more than most thanks to being introduced to their podcast at a stupidly young age (thank you older foster brother) and keeping up with Ed’s career, and thought that perhaps me saying what I know to be true will be better than people speculating.

I do have my own personal opinions on some things but I'll leave them out of this and keep it to just what they have said or done publicly so it's purely objective, and be as respectful as I can (also I have not kept up with Ian's career so most of the more recent stuff is second hand from people who have)

(Oh, also I will refer to Ray as Ian as that is his actual name and he chooses to no longer go by Ray)

So, okay, this is what's out there:

- First a bit of background: Ian is quite a bit older than Ed (13 years) but met Ed when he was at university as he did a show there. Ian said he liked Ed because he was by far the most polite boy who came up to him. He later offered Ed a job as a director for his Edinburgh show.

- Ed continued to help Ian out during uni and after he left, Ian would occasionally get him gigs.

- When Ian started the The Ray Peacock podcast with Raji James, Ed was initially a guest but pretty soon became another host. He was still only 21 at the time. The podcast later went on to become The Peacock and Gamble podcast which was massively successful for the time.

- Ed was still living with his mum at the time but seemed to also spend a lot of days/nights at Ian's too. They were clearly extremely close.

- The podcast naturally lead on to them becoming a double act which they toured and took to Edinburgh. They tried to get some telly shows commissioned but none of them got the green light. They kept mainly to live shows, radio, and occasional guest spots on telly.

- During their time doing the podcast, Ian was diagnosed with depression (he would talk about this openly sometimes and has since done a mental health podcast)

- Ed never talked about anything like that at the time but has since talked about struggling with managing his type 1 and body image issues after he lost weight, so I don't think it would be unfair to say they both probably weren't at their best mentally around this time.

- An incident happened during their time on Fubar radio where Ed felt slighted by the station bosses (I believe they were not paying him judging by what he said to John Robins) and he decided he didn't want to work for them. Ian liked the steady gig so continued on as a solo show.

- Ed started to get a lot more solo gigs and telly work, along with many others of his generation of comics. Touring with Greg also helped him massively.

- Ian has admitted he went a bit crazy on twitter for a while. During one of Ed's early solo Edinburgh runs, Ed did a promotional interview. He didn't mention Ian and this caused Ian to send a number of very passive aggressive tweets to him which Ed didn't engage with. All tweets were later deleted.

- Ed tweeted at a slightly later date something that was not directly at Ian but was assumed to be. I will be paraphrasing a lot here but it was basically something like "Your life hasn't gone the way you wanted. I'm sorry. But don't use that as an excuse to ruin my night." Rob Beckett also got involved, again not mentioning anyone directly, but appearing to stand up for Ed.

- All of their old podcast episodes were later no longer available on official sources.

- Ian did a Q&A on his podcast after he and Ed has split up and was asked if they were still friends. He said they didn't speak anymore. He did also however, cut ties with almost everyone in comedy.

- Another time Ian confirmed he was the one who stopped talking to Ed. He did not elaborate as to why.

- However in more recent years they have at least had some communication. Ian did a retrospective on the Ray Peacock podcast and it pushed him to call Ed. I did not hear this myself but have heard from others it was quite sweet.

- Ed has mentioned Ian by name a few times on various podcasts and always seems to have no ill will. He has said he is grateful and was very lucky to be given the opportunity by him. He also said he wouldn't be where he is today were it not for people like Ian and Greg Davies taking a chance on him.

- After the tragic death of the comedian Gareth Richards last year, Ian tweeted that he and Ed had spoken and agreed to re-release the interview they did with him for the podcast. As far as I'm aware that's the most recent occurrence of them mentioning each other.

And yeah, that's pretty much all I think. And while I won't say any more on the matter, I will say that their podcast was a massive part of my childhood and they both provided me with so many hours of laughter. So wherever they are with each other now (and I hope that they are broadly fine), their time as a double act was fantastic and meant a lot to a lot of weirdos. And nothing can change that :)

at this point greg has tom’s card just linked to some of his accounts online, and uses it mostly for work attire or home necessities as needed. one night he’s high and doing some online shopping and decides hey why not treat himself because his collection of sex toys is pretty barren since he moved here. so he finds a website that he likes and goes a little crazy, a couple of dildos, vibrators, condoms, flavored lube just to try it and maybe even a couple lingere sets. when he checks out he’s surprised to see a payment option already pop up because he hasn’t used this site before, but plenty of places just link together automatically now and it doesn’t think much of it and confirms his purchase. maybe next morning he remembers and is like wow that was a lot but looks forward to receiving it nonetheless.

of course it’s tom’s card. of course he keeps track of greg’s purchases and of course when he sees the company he spent a bunch of money at he checks just what he bought and his eyes bug out and he drops his phone and has a horny breakdown and most likely jerks off multiple times at the images now planted in his head.

the next work day tom calls greg into his office who thinks it’s just business but oh no tom is in one of his weird moods and starting out like “do you have something you would like to share with the class gregory? any squalid affairs in your near future, are you planning a classless orgy out with kendall’s nonstarter crowd?” and greg’s just ??? until tom slaps the receipt from greg’s shopping excursion down onto the desk because of course he was extra and printed it out. immediately greg starts flailing and is “i’m so sorry tom, you weren’t supposed to see that, it was a private purchase! i didn’t mean to abuse your financial generosity, i thought it was my account, can we just forget all this, i’ll pay you back i swear-“ keeps rambling

and maybe tom’s disappointed this wasn’t a grand gesture and greg didn’t actually intend for him to find out but he still can’t get those images out of his head. so he proposes: “sure, we can forget about this. if you’re willing to provide a demonstration.” and greg’s just stunned and blank faced until he gets the idea and goes beat red. “you’d really be interested in seeing that?” thinks tom must be fucking with him but it becomes obvious he’s dead serious.

“of course. i think it’s only fair i get to see you play with the toys i so graciously bought for you.”

cut to the package arriving later and greg trying one of the skimpy outfits on, texting tom a picture of himself in it “i’m ready to show off for you now” then tom breaks the sound barrier rushing over and they end up playing with a lot more than just the toys xx

Hey, I wanted to thank you for disussing what’s happening in Florida right now. I also want to bring more awareness to what’s happening in my home state.

Montana governor Greg Gianforte just signed into law Senate Bill 458, legislation that inserts binary, reproduction-based (ie XX or XY chromosomes) definitions of “male,” “female” and “sex” into dozens of parts of state code.

This is but one of a recent slew of attacks on the LQBTQ+ community. Myself and most of my friends will be impacted by this and are scared about the precedents this sets.

Greg flipped through the channels on the TV, but there was nothing that interested him. Even the reruns of the Arsenal games did not appeal to him. Usually a good game or a good show could relax him and divert his attention, but today that was impossible. He fumbled with the lighter in his pocket, hesitated to go to the balcony to smoke a cigarette, searched for the usual relaxation, and then abandoned the idea.

He glanced at the clock on the wall, which showed 9:00 p.m., and checked his watch, which showed the same time. He picked up his phone and scrolled through his photo gallery, looking at pictures of his niece, the last holiday with Mycroft, smiling at the pleasant memories.

Then he went to the last SMS exchange with Mycroft.

-I am on the plane, 

I will be home around 8:30 pm

It was only half an hour later than expected. A lot of unexpected and harmless things could happen between the airport and their house, but Greg was nonetheless impatient.

He ignored the little voice that told him that Mycroft was never late, even when he gave an approximate time of arrival. And if he was, he would send a reassuring message. But Greg refused to let the dark thoughts enter his mind. 

He admonished himself, "You idiot, it's just a little delay. He went to get a beer, resumed his position on the couch and turned on the TV again, trying to think of something else.

He must have fallen asleep, because he woke up to the sound of keys clicking in the lock. Waking with a start, his heart pounding in his chest, he jumped up from the sofa, almost tripping on the carpet. As he passed the wall clock, he noticed that it was past 11:00 and was about to exclaim, the words already on his lips, "What took you so long?" But all coherent thoughts left his mind the moment he arrived in the hallway to face Mycroft.

Mycroft stood there, his face lit up with that familiar smile, his travel bag slung over his shoulder, his briefcase in one hand and, most surprisingly, a bouquet of flowers in the other. His hair was a little messy, his features were drawn, but it was definitely him.

He said softly in a sheepish voice, "Sorry I'm late. First I had a cab problem, and then when I went to notify you, I saw that my phone battery was dead. So to make up for it while I was waiting for my cab, I got you this."

He handed the bouquet to Greg who took it, a little confused, and Mycroft continued, "I know we've been together for a few years now and I've never done this before, but I thought they were pretty, like you, so here you go."

Greg chuckled softly, "I never thought you'd be the sappiest of the two of us." He placed the bouquet on a small table and continued, "Not that I mind."

Mycroft put the rest of his things down and said quietly, "This trip has been a bit of a challenge, but the goal was worth it."

"What g-" 

Greg didn't have time to finish his sentence because Mycroft had wrapped him in a hug so strong it almost lifted him off the ground.

His lover was whispering into his hair, "This goal. You. Getting back to you. It helps me bear anything. I've missed you, my love."

Greg replied, looking up at Mycroft, "I've missed you too. I'm glad you're here." 

They didn't know which of them closed the distance between their lips, but when they met in a reunion kiss, nothing mattered but each other's presence and the joy of being together.

Anon did you experience a transcendental experience while typing this?

In season 4 episode 5 The Late Captain Pierce, Hawkeye says they have a "small summer cottage" in Crabapple Cove. This doesn't mean their winter home isn't also in Maine, though. Plenty of Mainers have a house in town for the winter and a place on the water for the summer. In all future references, Crabapple Cove was the Pierces' full-time home, which is also how it was in the book, so again I think it's weird that it wasn't before. Crabapple Cove is also a made up town, so the fact that they remembered the name but made it a summer home... why?

Anyway, the real problem with that line is he calls it a "small summer cottage" when in Maine such a dwelling is called a camp. The only way I can remain sane is by reminding myself that he's talking to Klinger, who is from Toledo and would be confused if he said "camp."

Mark Lanegan's 'Bubblegum' Celebrates 20 Years with Deluxe Edition Featuring Unreleased Tracks

Mark Lanegan's 2004 album, Bubblegum, is getting a deluxe reissue for its 20th anniversary. The collaboration between Beggars Arkive and Lanegan’s estate has resulted in Bubblegum XX, a remastered double-LP set to be released on August 23. Additionally, a four-LP box set will be available, featuring two bonus LPs filled with rarities, outtakes, and 12 previously unreleased tracks. The album has been remastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios. This edition marks the first time Bubblegum is presented as a double LP, unlike the original 2004 vinyl which fit the 50-minute album onto a single disc. The bonus discs include a remastered version of Here Comes That Weird Chill (Methamphetamine Blues, Extras & Oddities), now with three additional songs. i think that's the gist of it, right? greg is important. but only to tom. literally nobody else gives two shits about him.

this will seem like i'm digressing, but i promise it will make sense in the end. there is one instance of tom having greg's back that we, as a fandom, have disregarded completely. remember when in 2.7 tom was like 'if you fuck me over with those docs again, i will break your legs', but it seemed to not go anywhere? wrong. think again.

in 3.2 during that insanely suggestive tomgreg phone call tom already knows greg went to ken with those documents and straight up asks about them. and when greg is like 'i might not be involved in that at all, idk where they came from' tom literally says 'we'll have to see if he buys that', which fucks me up so much because a. in a season where tom is banking gold with logan left and right, beginning with this very ep where it's him that tells him all sibs are at kendall's, tom has already put greg as a higher priority. b. it must mean that there was a point where logan went 'AND WHY THE FUCK IS GREG THERE?', which i can totally understand, but which also means that tom, as the greg expert, must have covered his back. again.

and if all of that is true, if he succeeded in making logan believe greg wasn't really a part of it (which he must have because otherwise logan would strangle greg do death, if he could reach that high, let's be honest), then the only reason logan has for making sure greg goes back to waystar is to fuck with kendall. again. he does not care about greg, he sees him as a way to manipulate others, mainly ewan, but in this instance ken as well.

This was the fourth night he'd come home and Mycroft was already asleep and the fifth morning he'd left while he was still asleep.

But the more he did, the more he had to do.

It was a vicious circle from which he could not escape.

An hour later, there was a knock on his office door.

"Come in!"

The door opened on Mycroft.

"Mycroft? What are you doing here?"

"I came to get my husband to go home with him."

Greg protested, "But I told you I'd be back later."

Mycroft replied with a small smile on his face, "It's later. So I'm coming to pick you up."

"But..." Greg pointed to the files piled up on his desk.

Mycroft asked quietly, "Will they be gone by morning? Does what you're going to do tonight have to be done tonight?"

Greg pressed his lips together and shook his head. 

Mycroft stepped closer and, placing his hands on Greg's shoulders, he said softly, "Then come home with me."

"Mycroft," Greg started to protest but moved closer to Mycroft and leaned his head against his stomach, wrapping his arms around his waist.

"Come home," Mycroft repeated ever so softly. 

"Tonight, let's pretend we're a normal couple, with normal schedules and jobs. We'll have dinner together and watch something on TV, or I'll read something to you. Then I'll take you to bed and remind you why it's good for you to come home every night before I go to sleep."

Greg laughed, and even though it was a very small laugh, Mycroft was pleased to see that he had managed to lighten the mood a bit. He leaned over and kissed his hair before taking both of his hands and helping him up.

"I'm sorry Mycroft, I know I'm not the ideal partner. God knows I would-"

Mycroft silenced him with a kiss then said soothingly, "Hey Greg, I'm not mad or disappointed, you're the perfect partner. Never doubt it. And if I insist tonight it is not, only, because I selfishly want to spend a quiet evening with my perfect husband but also and especially because I want to take care of him"

"Okay..." Greg agreed and let himself be dragged out of his office. A little later, they were walking hand in hand down the sidewalk to their apartment like a normal couple on their way home from work.

As they entered, Greg held Mycroft and pulled him closer, whispering, "I love you," before kissing him.

Then they walked in, still holding hands for a normal night in.
