Jinx had never been at the top of her game as she was now that things had finally become so clear. All of those days of pain were behind them and now more than ever she felt more dedicated to the cause. Eager to prepare for the upcoming war that she hoped would come. The first step towards that had been firing fishbones.
Now she was two days in figuring out how to construct a prosthetic arm that would be the next weapon for them. The loose cannon still wasn't so sure she could do it, but she at the very least had a blueprint. Had set up a design that she thought seemed functional, including adding in some nice new features. However there was the worry of what if it wasn't good enough?
'Gotta say sis, that's brave of you, trying to make a whole arm. Do you really think you are capable of that?' Jinx glared at the Vi doll sitting on the corner of her workshop table. 'You're only going to disappoint him, just like you've always disappointed Sevika.'
"Shut up, you're distracting me." Jinx let out a growl, taking out her gun and shooting the vi doll, putting a whole right in the middle it's head. She watched with satisfaction as it fell onto its back. No longer was she going to let even the voice of the traitor distract her. Let it lie to her. "That's what I thought."
Jinx tucked her gun away just as she heard familiar steps. There would never be a need to look at its source when she knew Silco's steps so clearly. Yet he managed to steal her attention anyway as she sat down Sevika's old arm, which she had been studying, and glanced back at him. "Well, any news on the war yet? Have they figured out it was us yet?"
She lifted her goggles, eager to hear what he had to say. Already her fuchsia eyes were glowing with excitement. " Oh, watch out for that gemstone holder there, don't wanna trip over it." Jinx pointed at the device on the ground not far from him. Admittedly her whole area was a mess, with papers of failed drawings tossed aside half-hazardly. "And all the papers, sorry about the mess." @zaunseye

Excerpt: Eye for an Eye
Silco and Vi have a chat in Stillwater.
From 'heron blue,' an AU where Vi and Jinx reconnect under different terms. Slow, rocky relationship rebuilding, found family messiness, and political schemings. Full story on AO3
She sees fire. She sees red. Red on his clothes, on his hands; in his mangled, inhuman iris; on the silvered edge of his poisoned tongue.
"Vander's prodigy." She hasn't heard the sickly gravel of that voice in six years. It ripples beneath her skin, and sits there. Etches the drawling cadence of every vowel into her bones. "I regret that we've yet had the ability to speak."
A tilt of his head. Through the bars, doused in shadow, his mismatched stare sharpens. "I'd have made the journey sooner," he rumbles on, "but, you see—the time would be a waste, for a dead girl." His good eye narrows, a scathing flash of blue radium. "And yet."
Vi breathes in quick, harsh. She swallows it down.
He looks like a creature the Pilt chewed off and spit back out: a sinewed blot of shadow, bones and flesh, wrapped in leather and silk-weaved linen. There's an animal under his skin—a tidewater predator watching from the shallows, silent and still. Waiting.
She scuffs the sweat from her temple. Feigns indifference. "Who the hell are you?"
His brow perks. "Don't you remember?" His hands shift behind his back, held laxly there, as though folded around a knife. "Surely the walls haven't rotted your head that easily."
"I remember," Vi snarls, baring her teeth. "Like hell I'd forget." And she'd tried. Kindreds above and below, she'd tried to wipe her mind of that night, a lifetime over. Spite coils under her tongue. "But, y'know—don't really care about the name of some rat in the street. Might have to remind me, there."
She can't tell under the dim light whether the crook of his mouth is a sneer or a smile. It passes too quickly for her to care.
"Well. You've Vander's tongue as much as his damned fists, don't you?"
Her nails carve into her palms, hard enough to draw blood. She paces across the back of the cell, glaring.
Don't you dare say his name. Don't you dare—
Silco stands still as stone, two steps from the red line that chips over the cement floor. Silver glints in his hand. He's slipped a gilded cigarette case from the breast pocket of his coat. His thin, willowed fingers pluck one roll out, snap the case shut, and flick open the hinge of its lighter. The crackling hush of the drag he takes rattles over the stones: fills the air with a dry, ambered spice.
It's not like Vander's pipe: cheap, heady, citrus and cinnamon. It reeks of expense. It's the same peppery smoke that sits on his clothes, bittersweet and earthen, laced with juniper berry and cedar. It hisses out from his lungs, a blue thread unspooled, clouding about him in a thin haze. His dead eye leers through it.
"Come here, girl," he says, and takes a step forward. Under the ripple of the light, he's taller than she took him for; taller than she remembers, cowered on those rickety grates behind a wall of other bodies. His right eye—a frigid, dirtied blue, like the underside of a glacier—cuts to her tattered boots, and climbs. "Let me look at you."
The words gut into her, vilely. She wheels on him. Her fist slams into the bars, hard enough to make an ugly, chorusing echo through the steel. "Bastard."
"Charmed."
He stands on that thin red line, puffing away on his cigarette, and stares at her, as though trying to make sense of a riddle in a paper, or picking through the nuances of an artist's strokes. Her fingers snare hard on the bars, hard enough to stain her bloodied knuckles white. She glares right back at him. Pristine coat, lithe hands; scratched up, grayed out face; swept-back hair, flecked with silver; steel-tipped boots. There's a knife handle under his belt. A knife handle nearly in arm's reach.
"You couldn't have been more than fourteen, then," he mutters. The words carry a taint of wonder, in their remembrance. It plunges, swiftly, to distaste. "Tearing through my men, like a tank through the trenches." He scoffs. Now, he is sneering: the scarred line of his lip baring crooked teeth, his cigarette pinched between his fingers. "What good are you, left to waste away under these Piltie scum?"
"I didn't ask to be here—"
"Oh, no. You asked for revolution." His eyes spear into hers, an unwavering burn. "You were denied."
Blood ticks between her fingers, scalding on the cell bars. Those words itch into her; find the festering resentment she's left abandoned, over months and years shackled within these walls, and gnaw at it.
"You sold Vander out," she says, heat broiling just beneath the words. "You stabbed him. I saw it. You killed him—"
"Vander sold himself out, girl," and he is walking, with the slow, prowling lope of a wolf; the fluid circling of a shark in the deep. "Laid his throat under the enforcers' boots, like a mutt on a leash. I paid my dues—nine years of it—while he sat back and cowered." He strides over the red line, and stops, inches from her battered fists. "He owed me a debt," he says, plainly. His cigarette skims the grayed blot of dead flesh that stretches over his cheek. "Eye for an eye; tooth for a tooth."
Her hands shake. She sees the flames, eating up the cannery with the roar of a living thing. Hears the bellows of their arguing, split apart in fritzing static and neon-blue. "What did you do with my sister?"
He ticks the ash from his cigarette. It falls to a swirl of embers at his feet. "You, however," Silco prattles on, blithely ignoring her. His fingers wave through the air, with the nonchalance of a royal: a razor-edged flit of smoke and cinder. "Now—what I wouldn't have given to see you storm this wretched city, yourself. You still could, if you only had the gall." His heels sweep over the concrete: th-thump, th-thumping: fall still at one end of the cell. His eyes flit curiously across its hinges. "These bars, girl—tell me: have they strengthened you? Or leashed you, as well?"
She doesn't have time for this. You talk too much.
"What did you do with my sister—?"
"Jinx?"
A cold pit plunges through her stomach, and twists.
Because you're a jinx! Mylo was right!
"She's alive," he says slowly, the rasp of his low, scratched-out throat worlds away. The look on his face is unreadable: deceptively blank: scathing. "Safe," he adds, with a lilt of his head. "Though—as I'd been led to believe—you're good as dead, to her."
Vi pulls in a tight, heavy breath. "Her name is Powder."
"Her name is her own. She chose it." The dagger of his teal eye thins: hunts for something under her shaking bones, something she can't see. "From what I gather," he mulls, "it was your parting gift."
Slices in.

One thing I don’t totally adore about the Arcane fandom is probably the inability to address the complexities of anyone who isn’t Jinx or Silco.
So many people go to intense lengths to defend these two and talk about how they’re morally gray, but if we see anyone else (especially a Piltovan) doing something half as bad as them, they are instantly labelled the worst character.
I’m mostly involved in the CaitVi part of the fandom and occasionally hear people complain about how they are antagonized compared to Jinx and Silco.
Now I’m seeing more of people discussing the hate Mel receives, particularly how it’s rooted in misogynoir.
And right at the beginning of Arcane airing and even now, people despise Jayce.
It’s a pattern.
Everyone, and I mean every single character, deserves to be analyzed and taken into consideration the same way Silco and Jinx are.
This is not a hate post against them or the people who like them. Though I’m not a big fan of Silco, I think he’s a great villain. I also feel for Jinx a ton. But their hurt and their struggles and their tragedy doesn’t make everyone else’ less than.
Also, infantilizing these characters is weird. Their technically “bad people” in a lot of ways and that’s okay. That’s their point. Absolving them of that makes them a mere shell of what they’re intended to be.
Either way, all of these things cause so much division in the fandom so let’s all be nice to each other and hear each other out please.
Anyway, uhhhhhh, that’s it I think.

@misstantabismuses sent: 📂 + Summer towards Rick (I need her to roast his crush on Silco XD) & 📂 + Rick towards Morty and Summer (retaliation time, maybe concerning their dynamic with Jinx) Multimuse grape vine - Send 📂 for Muse A to comment something about a current thread of Muse B’s
Summer casually shrugs, but there's a sly tingle in her green eyes. Oh, this is going to be fun. It's not every day that she gets a free pass to gossip about Rick of all people. Even if, truth to be told, she usually makes her passes when she really wants to, consequences be damn.
"I've seen Grandpa Rick embarrassing himself, like, a lot. I mean, he's an alcoholic mad scientist with little to no shame, so it's pretty easy to catch him doing weird stuff," she begins, a little knowing grin curling her lips. "Morty and I could, like, tell so many stories...Especially from the time when he's drunk."
She might or might not have a secret folder with pictures and videos she can use for blackmail.
"But him around his new friend? That's a whole new level of embarrassing. Like that one time he got wasted, kissed the guy and then ended up getting kicked out because he said all the wrong things? That's an epic fail if I've ever seen one."
She isn't even exaggerating. She has seen Rick making a fool of himself or being cringe when flirting with people, but the way he acts around Silco is almost new.
"Have you seen how clumsy he gets? Usually Grandpa manages to be charming even when he's being, like, the total opposite, but with Silco he just humiliates himself at times." She chuckles behind her hand. "I've never seen him putting his foot in his mouth so many times in a row. Or, like, making up so many lame excuses to go back to Zaun. Or how hard he tries to show off when he's around the guy." Cue to an eyeroll. "He really can't see that he's coming off as annoying and not enticing."
Her grandfather isn't great with social cues and the fact that he doesn't give a damn about being proper doesn't help. However, it turns out, at times he can't really read the room even when he's actively trying. That explains where Morty got his social skills. Or, rather, lack of.
"And the best thing? He thinks that he's, like, being smooth and all, and that no one knows that he wants in the guy's pants." She huffs. "But instead is super obvious. Even Morty can tell. And I'm pretty sure Silco has to know too, by now, since Grandpa hasn't been subtle at all. I guess he just decided to ignore it to spare them both further embarrassment."
Still, she's been wondering how long it will be before Silco gets fed up with Rick's attempts at flirting and wooing him and tells him to cut it out. Probably not long, if the scientist gets too bold or too insistent.
Great, it seems like Summer just had the time of her life laughing at him on main. He'd tell her that she's a real bitch, but she'd probably take it as a compliment.
"Y-Yeah, sure, have fun mocking me. L-Like I give a shit about anyone's opinion," he claims with a dismissive scoff. "S-She and Morty shouldn't be the ones to talk w-with the little ganging up they've been doing. A-Always getting in fuckin' trouble with the loony firecracker. Sum-Sum forgets quickly how...that I am the one w-who has gotten them out of some reeeeaaaal sticky situations."
His grandkids can take care of themselves, but he'd never pass the chance to scold them for every false step. No matter how hypocritical it might come off.
"An-And have you seen how they act around Jinx? T-They say I embarrass myself, b-but I know exactly what I'm doing. T-Them? Like hell they do," he goes on and his irritated frown is slowly replaced by a smug smirk. "M-Morty looks like a fuckin' lost puppy around her. H-He barks up at Sevika an-and shit, but then he goes hiding behind Jinx. H-He obviously wants to impress her, b-but he's also intimidate, s-so he keeps switching between w-wanting to look cool and being latme. N-Now that is fuckin' embarrassing, i-if you ask me."
Oh yeah, two can play that game.
"An-And Summer? S-She goes around saying that I have a fuckin' crush or-or whatever, b-but she should really shut the fuck up. I-I mean, she is the one crushing. D-Did you see that kiss? L-Like she didn't even have to guts to make it a proper one. S-She kissed Jinx's cheek an-and then called it a 'friendly thank you'." A snort. "F-Fuckin' lame. J-Just like her brother. S-She should be grateful tha-that Jinx isn't great at picking up that stuff, b-because she's failing at being slick. I-It's not courting, i-it's a goddamn comedy show."
#[ ic :: Summer ]#[ ic :: c137 Rick ]#misstantabismuses#[[ gotta love how ruthless Summer can be xD ]]#[[ she just exposed Rick without hesitation xD ]]#[[ also I used that small thread we did as reference ]]#[[ since we currently have no active threads with Rick & Silco ]]#[[ Rick was a jerk about her and Morty but ]]#[[ tbh them being friends with Jinx isn't as embarrassing ]]#[[ so he loses this race even if he wouldn't admit it x3 ]]#[[ even if he managed to throw in a jab at Summer's crush xD ]]

There is so much subtext here and I just keep coming back to it.
At the highest level—Love and legacy are the sacrifices we make for progress—isn't that, at its core, just the moral conflict of the entire series, for almost every character we see?
"Progress," of course, means different things for different characters—and the type of love/legacy they sacrifice changes accordingly. But it's a change we see from start to finish, and the motivator to every character arc we're introduced to. And within that, there's a lot of arcs we don't have full visibility into; instead, we just get glimpses of what may have been, what might have happened, etc. through other characters' interpretations/dialogue.
Singed could be speaking about anyone here. But he's had this conversation before. Moments before this, Singed tells Viktor that he knows the look of a doomed man. And then he gives his warning—because he's seen the cycle of what a man willing to do anything will result in. He, in some ways, has already enabled this cycle before: in himself—and, we can infer, in Silco.
The natural assumption to make is that Silco's relationship to Singed became what it is immediately following the fight in the river.
They could have known of each other before—Silco, the revolutionary within Vander's freedom-fight; Singed, the "mad doctor" who parted ways with Topside, who Fissurefolk only went to when they had nothing else to lose. And maybe Silco went to him immediately, because he didn't know what else to do: barreled through his door, soaked and shell-shocked and covered in blood, a knife shaking in his palm, like he'd barreled through his door with Jinx. Or maybe he waited, holed up and hid until the rot spread, until he'd been all but driven mad by it, and he wavered in like a wraith in his doorway, hollow-eyed and haggard—and Singed had this very same conversation with him. Wagged a vile of Shimmer's earliest strand in his face, and asked, Are you sure this is the path you want to take?
The irony here, of course, is that the narrative sets us up to believe that a man willing to do anything will stick to that cycle, from beginning to end—and, as Singed shares from his own past with Viktor, will sacrifice love and legacy for the sake of progress.
But in Act 3, Silco shows up on his doorstep, again—spits, You think I can't see that? when Singed says Her injuries are severe—and Singed makes that little hum. Surprised, almost. Because here is a man who built an identity on the back of doing whatever he must to achieve progress, to fight, to survive; who has found family, found love and legacy, again.
Only now, that's a sacrifice he's not willing to make. And maybe Singed knows that, sees it, before he does, himself.
Just like he knows Viktor is more doomed that he'll let on—that he's willing to do anything he must, to progress their research and battle his own illness, his own rot—and that he's setting off on the same path, the same cycle, here again.
ARCANE | 1x07 - THE BOY SAVIOR
I understand now.
#now I'm thinking about Silco and Viktor parallels and Silco and Singed's relationship and I'm AH#because like???#was silco that same empty and ruthless shell we see in Act 1 at the time he finds Singed (or Singed finds him)?#was a part of him still hopeful - still in *denial* - of what Vander had done?#we see in Ep 3 that even after everything he STILL comes back to him#trying in vain to convince him to come back - to join him again - to prove that there's something there worth salvaging#even after ALL OF IT#so: ouch#in which case - Singed might have been the fuel to his hatred#enabling him to just revoke his attachments and do what he *must* to survive / continue on#like he supposedly did himself / for the sake of scientific progress#but that's also the lesson Silco passes on to Jinx????#so was Singed almost a mentor to Silco?#the same way Singed became more of a mentor to Viktor?#were they a *thing*??#or did they just have that shared thread of doing whatever it takes in common and bonded over that?#and that spurred them working together?#*waves hands*#every time I think I'm getting my fill of this show I find ANOTHER thing#arcane#arcane meta#silco arcane#singed arcane#viktor arcane#silco#singed#viktor

ACT 3 SPOILERS FOR ARCANE UNDER THE THREAD!!
jinx is not dead!!! here’s why (AND NO ITS NOT COPE>:()
1. vi’s reaction, why would she be so content if jinx JUST died, seeing as she was so upset when she thought she died
2. caitlyn was studying the place jinx died, showing the top of her bomb (purposely left by jinx to signal she’s ok???) and the ventilation system which matches up with the shimmer streak
3. the shimmer streak ofc. it’s brief but it’s there
4. the conversation with silco: he explicitly states “to break the cycle is not to die, but to have the will to walk away” she broke the cycle by walking away from vi, from everything
5. isha’s sacrifice : if jinx was dead, isha’s sacrifice would mean absolutely nothing. isha wanted jinx to live, that’s why she sacrificed herself for her.
6. the blimp looking thing at the end: in season 1 episode 1, powder says she’ll one day ride those blimp things, after showing the other implications, they ended it off with that same blimp she mentioned previously
we know the writers do things intentionally, these things aren’t coincidences they’re meant to be there for us to eventually notice. it will take a long time before we see anything from any of the characters again unfortunately but hopefully i can make some people feel better!! <33

Things hadn't gone like they were supposed to and it sent her in a panic. It wasn't something she could control, with the shattered state she was in. A state in which Vi induced, causing her to break down immensely. She wasn't in control of her impulses, then, when she heard the click of a trigger that activated the impulse to shoot in the direction of the sound. Only to find out that the person she'd shot had been Silco.
'I'd never have given you to them.' The guilt plagued her mind, because she should have believed that from the start. If she had they wouldn't be in this position and he wouldn't be dying in front of her eyes. She could see the light fading as he let out his last words.
This was going to be the day she showed him the weapon she had made, she was going to make him more proud of her than he had ever been. Instead she let her sister get between them, let her take up more space in her mind. So, the moment his jaw slacked and his head sunk, her expression had changed. Jinx knew where she belonged, which seat it was always meant to be.
"He was right all along, you, were never going to accept me and now you've made me your enemy." All the hatred that had been building over the years, the hatred he helped her harness, had fully come to the service now. No longer would Vi matter in her mind, she was the enemy. "Congratulations, sis, you made your choice, now you have to make your bed with it."
It was then that she heard even the slightest movement from Silco's chair, her brain immediately focusing on him. Whether it was real or in her mind didn't matter, because maybe he wasn't gone yet...
Jinx frantically reached into her pocket for her knife, and cut the rope. "You can't die, I won't let you." She said, her voice dripping heavily with desperation as she held him in her arms, not unlike how he would hold her. Didn't spare another word, glance, or even a thought at the woman who truly no longer considered family and ran out. Singed would know what to do.
"You have to help him," Jinx called out immediately as she practically destroyed Singed's door with a single kick. The hinges of the door breaking as she charged in, not too different from how Silco had the last time they were here. "Daddy, he's been shot...but I can't let him die, please."
Jinx was the reason he was like this, she had shout him and that weighed heavily on her. Silco was the only person she had left. The only one that mattered. If he died, she would be left with nothing. Nothing but the pain of knowing she was the cause. She wasn't even sure she could live with herself.
She carefully sat unconscious Silco on the table, the same table she'd been on the day prior. Where he took her to save her, too. This table would be where they both would be saved... "Please tell it me it's not too late to save him." @zaunseye

On Arcane & Antivillains
One thing I really enjoy about Arcane is how it handles antivillains.
For one, most of the characters (main ones) would actually fall into the category of antivillain at one point, or in the case of our two protagonists, become one. Arcane is arguably ripe with them.
An antivillain is essentially the opposite of an antihero. Simplified, antiheros do good things out of selfish or questionable motives, antivillains do things that are objectively bad or evil, but for noble reasons or for a greater cause. Another term for them is "sympathetic villain" however that term is too vague (there are villains out there who are sympathetic, but are none the less traditionally evil and therefore do not qualify as antivillains), and "antivillain" is a much better term mirror to "antihero." A common thread I've noticed among antivillain characters is some level of a Machiavellian approach to achieving their goals - the ends justify the means type of philosophy is something you'll always find characters that fit this category. At the very least, they dabble with it. In their eyes their actions are always justified because they're fighting for a good cause.
To put things into perspective, I'll use two examples. Harley Quinn shifts around, but she is frequently an antihero, take her depiction in both Suicide Squad movies. She does take down bad guys, however she's not doing so out of a sense of altruism, but to get a reduced prison sentence. Very cut-and-dry example of antiheroism.
On the flip side you have Magneto. Now from what I've seen (I've dabbled in the comics, but haven't dived in all the way) in the comics he gets very dark with the antihuman action. But in the Xmen movies, he definitely does some down right villainous stuff, but his intention remains the same - he wants mutants to live in a world free of bigotry and he's willing to do anything necessary to achieve that, including committing atrocities.
Now if this sounds very confusing to you and you swear you've heard these terms interchangeably or that you can think of several characters that are labeled as type A when they should be type B or vice versa, that's pretty normal. These aren't archetypical heroes and villains we're talking about, so it can be hard to categorize them, and honestly most characters in general will go back and forth or shift at one point or another, so all you need to know is that those definitions are the ones we're working with in this post.
Here are the characters from Arcane that I think suit this label, and others that I think will.
Disclaimer: this is not me hating on the characters. I love all of these characters for this layer to their character. This is not a "oh, look, this character is bad actually," post. If anything, consider it a celebration of their gray morality and how well its explored in the show.
Silco
Duh. Silco is objectively pretty evil. Setting up a drug empire that destroys your own people, getting in-cahoots with corrupt cops, killing kids, and aiding in destroying a young girl's mental health is multiple levels of foul. However, for him, all of this was part of an elaborate plan to liberate Zaun, which is being aggressively oppressed by Piltover. They were necessary sacrifices made to the cause, and worth it because it will bring forth better days for him and his people. Now obviously, a lot of his actions definitely have to do with his own ego, however the only time Zaun isn't prioritized is when it comes to Jinx, who is like a daughter to him, and even that realization comes to smack in the face late in his arc.
Sevika
I'd argue she's even more noble than most since she truly is rooted in the cause for Zaun. Not only is she willing to do some pretty bad things for the "greater-good", she's even willing to betray people who she views as unfit or incompetent. And what's even more telling is that she doesn't do this for power (which is arguably a part of Silco's prerogative). Sure, she's his #2, but he doesn't exactly show any favoritism. And Sevika seemingly isn't even trying to become the new leader of Zaun after Silco's death from the season 2 clips, but will support Jinx, despite the fact that she probably could dethrone her. She's no true blue hero, but she's not a megalomaniac either.
The Entire Council of Piltover (Minus Mel & Jayce)
As obnoxious as they are, none of them are mustache-twirling villains. As we see with characters like Sheriff Grayson (not a council member, but they share the same sentiment), they legitimately think they're protecting the city with their neglectful leadership and oppression of Zaunites. Yes, this includes Heimerdinger, who seemingly only started caring about Zaun once he was booted out of the council, so that places him firmly in antihero territory in my opinion.
Why did I exclude Mel and Jayce? Their plots are actually upward in terms of morality, especially Jayce who by the end is closer to being a traditional hero by prioritizing peace and progress over the status quo or war, and actively makes the first move of trying to right Piltover's wrongs. Mel's arc has also moved this direction as well, as she went from arguing that Jayce and Viktor should build Hextech weapons in case of war with the Zaunites, to fully embracing peace. You could argue that Mel wanting the weapons means she was at some point an antivillain, and I might agree, but as it stands, she's firmly in the clear.
So, why are the rest of the council still considered antivillains? Honestly, we just don't know much about their motivations to say. They ultimately did a good deed in voting for peace, but you know, one good deed doesn't wash-out the bad and vice versa. They're not even on thin ice for me, they're still fighting for the surface.
Marcus
Questioning your actions does not mean you can't be an antivillain, and Marcus is a good example of that. He's is kind of like Caitlyn if she were way less compassionate and very incompetent. Marcus does not think his actions are evil, according to show runners he only places Vi in Stillwater to protect her from Silco; he gets involved with Silco because he wants justice for the building explosion and it goes out of hand. That said, he also threw a child into a dangerous prison with no charges and with the intention of keeping her there for life, and worked with a kingpin who was actively antagonizing his own people while reaping benefits from an abusive system. So yeah, Marcus falls more into being an antivillain than full-blown villain, he's still firmly an antagonist though.
Ambessa
I know it's very popular in the fandom to call Ambessa a traditional bad-guy type of villain, but she is actually very nuanced. For one - she does not see her actions as evil, nor are her motivations behind doing them rooted in it. Ambessa, as she states in Mel's flashback, was raised in the Noxian way. Her grandfather literally made her search the dead bodies of the people they massacred when she was a youth, and she was indoctrinated to believe that this was in the best interest of her family and the Noxian people. By showing strength and ruthlessness, she's telling the rest of the world: "Stay away from House Medarda and Noxus." Hence, why Kino's death wrecks her, because she values herself over how effective she is at warding people off from messing with her family. Her main reason for getting involved with the war between Piltover and Zaun will 100% be because Mel's life was nearly lost due to Jinx's bomb, and this is coming straight off of her son's death mind you. So, while Ambessa may definitely be one of the most ruthless people on this list, she is not at Palpatine levels of evil yet, not by a long shot.
Jinx
You guys saw this coming, right? This barely needs an explanation. Jinx grew up in the Lanes, was a victim of Piltover's oppression multiple times throughout her youth, was willing to fight for their freedom as seen in episode 2, and in the end, that desire, along with her being adopted by Silco, manifested in her doing multiple acts of violence, including terrorism against Piltover, which frequently hurt people who weren't guilty of anything. (No, blowing up the building in episode 3 doesn't count as one of her evil deeds because it was an accident.) We understand completely why Jinx does what she does, even though it hurts to see her slip farther and farther into this mindset.
Vi
Way more subtle (for now) but I'd argue she's there come episodes 8 and 9. Hell, you could argue that her arc is about her sense of morality breaking down due to realizing how impossible the situation between Zaun and Piltover is, and embracing an "ends justifies the means" type mindset that Vander tried to sway her against back in episode 2. Wanting to stop a kingpin from using this new dangerous drug to destroy your city and sister? A noble cause, indeed. Not really caring that (or being passive over the fact that) children die in process because of their approximation to said bad guy? Yikes. [EDIT: Since we're on this topic: here's a link to where I explored this aspect of her character. I did this a while ago, but I thought it best to include it here too for added context). Now, I know what some of you are going to say - how is this any different from, say, Steve Rogers telling Wanda Maximoff that sometimes there's collateral damage when doing hero work? The difference is that Steve didn't argue that those people had it coming because they're associated with the bad guys/or in their way, which Vi does. That's some dangerous conviction right there, and we'll probably see that elaborated on in season 2 given that she's becoming an Enforcer which is a position that lends itself to abuse of power (and if it goes anyway like things do with her game counterpart, she will engage in police brutality and not see an issue with it, but given that Arcane's Vi is way more well, nuanced, than her game counterpart I don't think it will go on for long). While we're on the topic of Vi, according to her prison records, she had a notorious reputation while doing time to the point that I find it funny Silco didn't put 2-and-2 together that the girl with short pink hair beating the shit out of and attempting to murder all of his goons that went to Stillwater was possibly the same girl that wiped the floor with those same goons the night Vander died.
Potential Antivillains of Season 2:
These are characters that I predict will become antivillains at some point during season 2 based off of where their season 1 arc left and clues from season 2 teasers and clips. This is not me saying for sure this will happen, only a prediction. But if it does come true, I will gladly collect $5 per accurate plot point.
Viktor
Two words: glorious evolution.
We all love Viktor. We all love good-guy Viktor, and we will also more than likely love not-so-good-guy Viktor due to how complex that arc will be. If it will go anything like his game-lore (which I suspect it will) his noble intentions will never leave him, just simply evolve to include some less-than-heroic actions and justifications. He still wants to improve the undercity, and well, humanity overall, with hextech, motivated by the injustices he's been put through his own life and his illness, but he will go about it in some very unorthodox ways, and his arc in Arcane is about him confronting if he wants to "evolve" his morality for the sake of his ultimate goal, which is progress. Viktor would definitely agree with the sentiment expressed by Gloria Steinem (character depiction, not a real quote) in Mrs. America - "Revolutions are messy, people get left behind."
Caitlyn
I'm pretty sure she actually will become apart of the antivillain roster in season 2, but noting is for certain. Caitlyn is perhaps the saddest version of this there is, because we see where she starts out. She doesn't want to be like everyone else in her circle, she tries to break free and be better. She wants to do good by both Piltover and Zaun. She has hope, gentleness, and doesn't place herself above even those who occupy the lowest levels of Zaun. She puts herself, her status, and her life on the line to discover the truth, and comes out her time with Vi steadfast in wanting to help heal Zaun. She can be a little naive and ignorant, but she never does so with malicious or ill intent. She is the kindest person in Arcane.
But, given that her mother was killed in a terrorist attack set off by the new Head Zaunite in Charge, things will change. As we see, Caitlyn becomes a sheriff on the Enforcer squad, and now her goal is no longer to sow peace between Zaun and Piltover, it's to avenge her mother by assassinating Jinx. Of course, this will be due in part that Caitlyn thinks snuffing Jinx out will solve the problem, which will be ironic and hypocritical because she told Ekko that getting revenge on Silco won't solve anything in Zaun, but now that she's in the same predicament, the tables have turned and now diplomacy is off the table. She still has that hero-complex, as she lives by the lessons of Sheriff Grayson, but now it's with a twist. The idealistic Caitlyn who believed in giving peace a chance through reform is gone, and she now believes that there's little to no cost too great for her to achieve this, even if that (possibly - again season 2 hasn't come out yet, so we shall see) means hurting innocent Zaunites. And what's scary is that Caitlyn has the intelligence, dedication, talent, and efficiency to pull it off. Truthfully, I believe we won't just be getting Sheriff Caitlyn in season 2, but also Dictator Caitlyn.

The entirety of the lanes were in an uproar following Silco's death. Except there was one thing everyone except a select few were aware of; Silco was not dead. Thanks to Singed, whom had recovered his body, he was alive and well. If only purely thanks to the involvement of shimmer. He was reborn.
Watching from the sidelines had become his only way of knowing what was going on, and his source? Sevika. Sevika to this day continued to run his business, a brilliant actress acting as if he was dead for the masses. More importantly, she was his eyes and ears, and he had assigned her with the task of locating his daughter. Tracking her down so that he could find again...
Just when he had lost hope, Sevika had informed him that Smeech was looking to find her, too. That bastard had the intention of turning her in, and Silco would not allow it. However, he took that as an opportunity and began to follow him.
Silco hid amongst the crowd, staring down at the corpse of smeech. A quick glance up and he caught a glimpse of her, his faced hidden by the cloak covering it. "Jinx..." He whispered to himself. Of course the moment she started running, he followed, pushing past the growing crowd.
"Jinx..." He said again, this time louder as he climbed onto the factory roof. "My Jinx, I have finally found you."
He lowered his hood, confirming his identity. His eyes, however, had changed to a violet purple and a glowing vibrant purple. The scarring remained on his face, though covered in blackish-purple veins. Even now, he could tell that her mind was breaking; continuing her grieving.
"You're right, everything is going to be fine." Silco rest a hand on her shoulder, affectionate in a way only a father could show. "You're safe now."
@jynxd ;
Getting him up here wasn't the hard part. Yordles are actually super light, especially when they're Undercity—even with all the metal and stuff. And she's not that small. The elevator did most of the job for her.
Thanks, elevator!
But getting Smeech's big head through the window? Yikes. Thick skull! She basically had to kick him through. (Basically as in she did.)
Jinx doesn't stick around to admire. And maybe she doesn't totally feel like it. The rope slides up Smeech's body all windy and twisted, his foot's mangled with stuck jabby glass bits from when she shoved him out and watched him die headfirst from his penthouse. She doesn't even feel like swiping that gear-shaped snowglobe thingy by his bedpost. Hanging over the sill, she starts coloring a squiggly shape around his ankle and doesn't even get to draw the eyes. Because she sees something first; an ash film on a boring old tray. Some stars and itty bitty monkey faces where she tried to make it more colorful.
People are pointing up at the Chem-Baron's body from the street. His bodyguards are dead as doormats in an alley, but more are coming. She's already running away.
・゚
‘So now you're all quiet? Don't wanna talk anymore?’
‘Oh, I'm scary, right? That it?’
‘Orrr, what—ha—you got better places to be? Other heads to fill?’
(Clang, thwack, everything punctuated by tossed weapons and the slap-slap-slap of her boots on the factory roof.)
She tumbles onto her ass eventually. Her feet swing over the sky, Undercity lights all stars in a void. For once, no company. Head's a staticky whir. Like ants biting everywhere so she swells up and just hurts.
Jinx claws her fingers back into her hair, laugh bubbling up somewhere, or maybe that's something else but she could make it laugher, this whole thing's a j̷͓̱̞̲̻͌́ơ̴͎͎̳̽̃̋̽̈́̕ķ̸̨̠̖͎́͊͠e̷͙̚, it's fine, ꜱʜᴇ'ꜱ ꜰɪɴᴇ! Hi lullabyes, would u mind sharing your take on the flashback with young Silco, Vander, and Felicia? :O
It's adorable. It's touching. It's sweet. It's a serene moment of intimacy and family (or polycule) bonding in an otherwise deeply frenetic season.
It's also so surreal it may as well be a fever dream.
I should note, at this stage I've shut off my cognitive reasoning about Arcane and begun approaching this as if it's a series of exquisitely crafted, animated short films that are all about to collide into a beautiful disaster.
Because that's what it is.
S2 has thrown a lot of the intelligent plotting out the window to embrace the chaos. Whether due to time constraints, intellectual fatigue, or creative indulgence, I feel like we have a show that's now just hurtling breakneck towards the finish line. Previous story threads that once held weight and were the driving force behind character arcs and subplots, have since been abandoned. Nuanced motivations and character growth are being tossed to the wayside for the sake of action, montages, music videos, and a cavalier, anything-goes approach to world-building.
And yet, it's still such an incredible spectacle to behold.
@ravenkinnie delightfully noted that she is now watching this show with her pussy.
I agree 100%. S2 is a full-body experience, and one I find myself wholly consumed by. It's like a one-night stand you weren't expecting to be so fucking good. And when the sun comes up, you know it's going to hurt to say goodbye, and there'll be no follow-up call.
But damn, you enjoyed the shit out of that experience.
So yeah, the flashback was fucking adorable. I love the genuine emotion and closeness between the three characters. I adore the idea of Felicia, Silco and Vander being childhood friends (or, again, a very messy polycule) and both men sort of falling apart without her Manic Pixie Dream Girl presence in their lives. It's a nice little character arc.
However.
I cannot reconcile this scene with the rest of S1. It feels completely disconnected from the reality of the show and the world around them. The flashback has absolutely no impact on the current events, nor does it have any foreshadowing. The flashback exists solely to provide us with a glimpse into the past, with sweet little parallels to serve as bonbons that make us coo and sigh. It completely glosses over Silco's deeply, blackly visceral hatred of Vi in S1, reduces the class struggle culminating in the Day of Ash to "Oh, Silco. If only you've protested for your basic civil rights in a peaceful manner instead of tossing a molotov cocktail, you'd still have your family, a place in the community, not to mention your eye," does not really explain why Benzo reacted to Silco's appearance by calling him an animal, and, most importantly, gives the lie to the entire dynamic between Silco and Jinx.
We were led to believe that Felicia's death was the catalyst for Silco and Vander's falling out. That if Silco had found Vander's letter in their little Brokeback bunk, they would've worked out their differences and found peace together. That they'd have raised Felicia's anklebiters side-by-side as the Zaundads of the revolution.
Except Silco is also the man selling Evil Anime PCP (Shimmer) as an economic cheat-code to earn respect for his people, and Vander is basically Captain Centrist and traumatized by war, and there is NO WAY they would've seen eye-to-eye on their respective methods. There's no way they would've come to any sort of accord. And there's no way Silco would've forgiven the man who mutilated and left him possibly sheared of half his lifespan, any more than Felicia's children would forgive the man who killed their mother.
It's such an incongruous narrative beat.
Which brings me to the other point:
Silco and Jinx.
imo, while I love the idea of Silco carrying either a secret torch for Felicia, or seeing her as a sister he'll always love, and while I absolutely treasure the idea of Jinx being a daily reminder of what he's fighting for - "I'm doing this for us, Jinx." - it sort of cheapens the key connection between them. In S1, Silco and Jinx's arc is, in my eyes, one of the best things about the series, and so incredibly well-written and executed. Silco is a monster, yes, but his monstrosity is the product of systemic and individual trauma, and the inextricable bleedthrough between the two. Finding this little girl and bringing her up under his wing, he has the chance to be the steadying hand and safe harbor he lost after Vander's betrayal. His monstrousness is not something he inflicts on her; it is something that, rather, grows on JInx like a kudzu vine, as the terrain of her damaged mind is already fertile for his worldview and methods to take root and thrive.
He is, perhaps, the best example of nurture triumphing over nature, even if his nurturing is rather, uh, extreme.
But if their bond is predicated on Felicia, rather than two strangers finding each other in the wilderness of heartbreak and learning to let their black hearts beat, messily entwined, as one family unit, and if Silco's obsession with Jinx is merely a projection of his guilt for killing her mother, and, by extension, a projection of his love for Felicia onto her daughter...
It's just.
Do y'all remember those uncomfortable frames that the showrunners admitted were deliberate, despite the evidence in the written text suggesting a familial bond? The subtext that, all the way into S2, carries the implication of a romantic relationship between a father and his daughter?
Well.
The implications now threaten to melt into explicit text, and the uncomfortable frames have turned into Unfortunate Implications, and I am not sure how I feel about this.
It's not giving Lily and Snape; it's giving Sansa and Baelish.
It's giving the showrunners a big, fat "YEESH" rating from CPS.
And it's giving us the same, old, tired trope of a monstrous man unable to form an attachment unless it's through the lens of prior attachments, that whole 'You remind me so much of her' and the like.
(I also admit I am the world's biggest hypocrite as the entire premise of Forward but Never Forget/XOXO is that the core foursome of Vander, Silco, Lika and Sevika knew each other, and that those ghosts haunt the machinery of the present day. But I try my damnedest to make plain there's politics buffeting all these relationships, and despite all their efforts to claw at self-sovereignty, reinvention and a new order, the past is a stubborn bitch that refuses to let go.)
(Also in FnF, Silco is triggered by Lika rather than into her in any affectionate or romantic way, because they're so similar: pragmatic survivors who aren't above rule-bending to get their way, and at their core just want a smoke break, a stiff drink, and a nap. It's a mutual respect rather than an affection, which is why she bestows on him the dubious honor of mercy killing her if she's too wounded on the Day of Ash to continue on.)
(He's the one person who could, and would, do her the service. It's kinship, and Jinx is the bright torch of their shared ambitions and ingenuity given both wing and voice.)
But anyway.
The flashback is a fever-dream. The kind you have when you're high on cold meds and can't think straight, and the world is a blur of sensations and memories that seem vivid in the moment but melt away into madness when you're better. It's a scene meant to be savored rather than interrogated. And I think if the showrunners had the time and inclination, we would've gotten a second episode solely dedicated to the flashback, rather than shoehorning it in. But since they're clearly trying to tie everything up with a neat bow before the finale, I don't blame them for having to skim past it and focus on the vibes/emotional resonance rather than the substance of a meaningfully written scene.
But hey.
Fanfic writers will have a field day with the open-ended dynamic and the fandom will never fucking stop, so that's nice.
Also we got loads of fantastic gifs of Young Silco. Bless.
<3
tl;dr: I've switched my critical brain off and decided to just enjoy the ride. It's so fucking epic.
Also, Felicia was delightful and I hope her brotherhood/polycule/whatever with Silco and Vander gets its own spinoff, a la Road to El Dorado (or Zaun.)

Hiding From The World
Summary: After a meeting with Silco, Jinx goes missing, leaving you to go find her.
Pairing: Jinx x Fem!reader
Wordcount: 1k
Authors note: The long ass story is still not finished im so sorry guys im gonna try to publish it as soon as I can 🤞🏻. I also did this at 2am, sorry if its bad I literally fell asleep in the middle of writing it.
Masterlist
It's been hours since you last saw her. Jinx was supposed to come back to the hideout after a supposedly urgent meeting with Silco, but the minutes dragged on, turning into hours, and still no sign of her. You tried to convince yourself she was just blowing off steam somewhere, but you couldn’t shake the sinking feeling in your gut.
Without a second thought, you head to the one place she might be. It’s a little secret basement in an abandoned building tucked away in the darker parts of Zaun, somewhere she figured no one would ever think to look, when you and Jinx first stumbled on this little abandoned building while exploring Zaun’s hidden alleys. The structure was half-buried under layers of graffiti and rust, but Jinx saw it as treasure—something forgotten by everyone else but perfect for the two of you. Together, you’d set up this place over the months, stringing fairy lights from the cracked ceiling, stacking old crates to make makeshift chairs, and even securing it with a series of hidden traps to keep intruders out.
The shadows stretch longer as you approach the building, slipping past the creaky metal door and down the stairs that lead to the basement. You disable the traps one by one, the steps so familiar you could do them in your sleep. Finally, you reach the heavy door that leads into the basement, taking a breath before pushing it open.
And there she is.
Jinx is slouched on the floor, leaning against the wall with her knees drawn up to her chest. Her eyes flicker with a mix of frustration and exhaustion, and you catch the way her hands keep fidgeting, as if even while sitting still, she can't quite find peace. She looks up when you enter, and something in her expression softens ever so slightly.
"Y/N," she mutters, sounding almost relieved. "Guess I’m not as good at hiding as I thought, huh?"
You close the door behind you, crossing the dimly lit room until you’re in front of her. “Not from me, anyway.”
She scoffs, but there’s a hint of a smile tugging at her lips. You slide down to sit beside her, close enough that your shoulders are almost touching. For a moment, neither of you speak. The silence is comfortable, settling like a blanket around you both.
You glance over, studying her for a beat. “Rough day?”
She lets out a bitter laugh, rolling her eyes up to the ceiling. “Silco thinks he knows everything. Says I’m too… reckless, like he doesn’t know me by now.” Her fingers toy with a stray thread on her pants, pulling at it absently. “Sometimes I think he just doesn’t get it. Doesn’t get me.”
You nod, listening to every word. “Sometimes I don’t think he deserves to.”
Jinx looks over at you, that fire in her eyes simmering down, replaced by something softer, something almost vulnerable. She doesn’t say anything right away, but her hand inches toward yours, her fingers grazing your palm as if she’s testing the waters.
You intertwine your fingers, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. “We don’t need him, you know,” you murmur. “We’ve got this place. It’s ours. Away from everyone else.”
She leans her head back, gazing around at the dim room, where the fairy lights cast soft, warm glows over the walls. It’s far from fancy, but it feels like home, like yours. The two of you worked to make it that way—a sanctuary in the chaos.
Her gaze drifts back to you, a small, genuine smile breaking through her tough exterior. “Guess that’s why I wanted to come here… I knew you’d find me.”
“Always,” you say softly, brushing a thumb over her knuckles.
For a while, you sit in comfortable silence, her head eventually finding its way to your shoulder. The weight of her against you feels reassuring, grounding, like the world outside doesn’t matter when it’s just the two of you in this little hidden corner of Zaun.
“You know,” she murmurs, her voice barely above a whisper, “this place… I’d never let anyone else in here but you.”
Your heart skips a beat, and you turn slightly, pressing a soft kiss to her hair. “Good. Because I wouldn’t want to share it with anyone else.”
She smiles again, her eyes half-closed as she leans into you. In this moment, with the flickering lights casting shadows across the room and the muffled sounds of Zaun fading in the background, you both find a rare, quiet peace.
Jinx’s head grows heavier on your shoulder, her breathing slowing, steadying. You glance down to find her eyes closed, the furrow in her brow smoothed out. It’s rare to see her like this—unguarded, peaceful, away from the chaos that usually surrounds her.
Carefully, you shift, wrapping an arm around her to support her as you slowly stand up. She stirs slightly, but doesn’t wake, her head resting comfortably against your shoulder as you carry her over to the old, beaten-up couch you both dragged in here ages ago. Easing yourself down, you settle back with Jinx still in your arms, her body now draped across yours.
She mumbles something incoherent as she nestles closer, pressing her face against your chest. One of her arms wraps around you, clutching the fabric of your shirt as if you’re an anchor keeping her steady.
You can’t help but smile, brushing a few strands of hair away from her face, tucking them behind her ear. She looks so serene, her usual smirk softened, her breathing deep and calm. Gently, you stroke her back, your fingers tracing light, soothing circles as she relaxes even further against you.
The warmth of her settles into you, a quiet comfort that makes the dim room feel like it’s lit up with something more than just fairy lights. Holding her like this, feeling her heartbeat thrum in sync with yours, it’s like all the weight of the world fades away.
As minutes slip by, you let your head rest back against the couch, one arm wrapped securely around her while your other hand continues to run softly up and down her back. You could stay like this forever, hidden away with her, in a place that’s just for the two of you.
In this little pocket of the world, it’s just you and her, and for now, that’s all you need.

The Vee's reactions to their platonic(parental for Val Vox maybe if you are feeling it?) pet seeking them out for affection after a breakdown? Just desperate for any comfort
Yandere Vs reaction to pet reader seeking comfort after a breakdown
Warnings: SA implied/threatened and mentioned, Valentino, panic attacks, self harm (hair pulling, using broken glass and arm scratching) hurt/little comfort, existential crisis mode, just poor Vs pet, abuse, punishments, dark content
Vox:
You didn’t know what brought it on honestly
One minute you were working with Valentino in the living room of the upper level of the tower where you and the Vs resided, and the next your feet are carrying you as fast as they could away from him
Maybe it was a mixture of things, val’s hand on your knee, the inappropriate sounds you were having to edit that you could identify as angel dust, his talking about how he wanted to hurt angel
All of it just mashed together to create an overwhelming feeling of pure fear
So you did what you were so used to doing when you were alive, you ran as fast as you could from the perceived danger
You could hear Valentino’s angered yells from behind you but your legs still carried you in the opposite direction until they took you to Voxs office
You assumed it would be empty since Vox had to be charging at this time, so you entered it knowing that Valentino wouldn’t enter the office out of fear that Vox would see him
You collapsed on the floor and sobbed you heart out with painful cries as your fingers threaded into your hair and tugged painfully to get a feeling of pain that could ground you
But Vox was in the office, and he looked at the sight in front of him with a mixture of parental concern and anger that someone had disturbed his possession
He approached you carefully before crouching down to meet your eyes
He repeatedly asked you what was wrong but you couldn’t answer, it was only when he touched your arm did he get a reaction out of you as your eyes snapped up to look at him before wrenching your arm away
This confused and concerned Vox but he didn’t have time to decipher your reaction before you practically pounced on his crouching figure and wrapped your arms around his middle as he fell backwards
(Think when jinx and silco first meet)
He stayed still out of shock for a few moments as you sobbed into his ridiculously expensive suit before he wrapped his arms around you and stroked your arm comfortingly
He pulled your face out of his chest and held your face in his hands before wiping away your tears with his thumbs and ignoring the crackles that came from your tears seeping into his technological body
You rant your little heart out but Vox completely zoned you out as he focuses on what this situation had made him feel
He felt concern sure, but the fact that you’d come to him to seek comfort and affection gave him a small thrill
You never gave him affection willingly unless he had given you drugs beforehand to make you calmer in his presence, so this just proved to him that you needed him
He made a mental note to make you work with Valentino more, if this was the reaction he was going to get
He may be concerned, but he’s cruel enough to ignore your panicked state if it meant you’d continue to willingly give him affection
Velvette:
Velvette had been especially cruel today
It was like she was purposely setting you up to fail just for her entertainment, the same way you pretend to throw a toy for a puppy and have them look back at you confused when they can’t find it
She purposely gave you the wrong coffee order for the models, she sent you into voxs office with unfinished paperwork and she had been verbally abusing you from the moment you entered the room
But something snapped in you after the two of you were alone for the night, she said something particularly cruel
“Maybe if you were a bit more useful then you could have lived to reach your twenties at least, but instead your down here because your molly infested brain was too useless to work out how to save yourself and the others”
Your death was a particularly sensitive spot, and usually the Vs stayed away from that subject because of your volatile reaction when you had to recount the story after hours of interrogation
And velvette had just pressed on it like it was a fresh bruise
Your breakdown started out of anger as velvette turned her back and you grabbed a tray of champagne glasses before throwing it against the closest wall
This shocked velvette to her core, she’d never seen you show such extreme and violent anger before
So she watched on as you destroyed furniture and glasses around the room before you knelt on the ground and sobbed
You were kneeling directly on the smaller shards of broken glass as you cried and grabbed handfuls of the glass and held them tightly in your palms
Velvette tried commanding you to stop in various ways but you just kept crying as the blood spread onto the floor
After ten minutes of watching you cry, velvette sighed and stomped over to you before slapping you harshly across the face
You stopped crying as you held your face in shock, but what shocked you more was the feeling of velvettes hand petting your hair in a similar fashion to how youd pet your dog
You felt yourself lean into her palm, desperate for the contact despite it coming from one of your abusers
Velvette hand trailed from your hair to your face as she gently traced the musical note markings that ran down your cheeks
You leaned into her palm before she grabbed your chin harshly and moved your head to observe the destruction you’d caused
“Clean this shit up immediately” she commanded harshly “then meet me in my bedroom”
You cleaned the room for hours and ignored the pain that it caused before you met velvette in her room where she removed the glass from your hands and knees before bandaging them and commanding you to sleep in her bed for the night
As she watched you sleep, she couldn’t help but think about what she had observed from you today
And she quickly worked out that one day she could use your anger to her benefit, and she planned on doing just that when the time was right
But sleep peacefully for now, pet
Valentino:
Your breakdown had happened the minute he forced you into his studio
Vox had put strict rules in place stating that you weren’t to go on there, but Val felt adventurous today
But that’s not what caused the breakdown particularly, it was the unedited video of angel dust playing on the screens
The video that showed his pained and fearful expressions
And the cherry on top was realising that the two of you were alone and that the camera was on and facing you
You mentally tried to prepare yourself for what you thought was going to happen, and you tried to dissociate from your body to avoid feeling his touch
But you couldn’t, panic filled your entire body as you bolted for the door but it was locked
Val just grinned his evil fucking grin
He hadn’t brought you here to assault you, even though he engineered the situation to imply that
He brought you here because he wanted you to capture your breakdown on camera after being told about them from Vox
He thought it would be funny to show the next time he and the other Vs had time to watch a movie, he knows both of them get so fascinated by the complexities of your emotions
You had started to violently bang on the door to see if you could free yourself but it was useless
Val simply sat on the chair near the door and watched as your fawn ears became pinned to your skull and you fell to the ground out of fear
Tears filled your eyes as you hyperventilated through the fears, and you brought your nails to the skin of your arms and dragged them down harshly to give yourself some pain to distract yourself from the panic
“Stop that” val commanded harshly when he saw the harm his toy was doing to herself “come here”
You walked forward cautiously as you sobbed and hyperventilated while holding your arms protectively over your body
“Sit” Val had commanded with a grin as you followed his directions
He grabbed your head surprisingly gently and laid it down on his fluff covered shoulder
You say crying and preparing yourself for the worst on his shoulder and Val just grinned into the camera
Until you did something unexpected and you wrapped your arms around his shoulders and cried into his shoulder
Valentino sat there stunned as you cried into his shoulder until his hand came up to rub your back in what he thought was a soothing manner
You sobs increased at his touch but all he did was hold you for a few moments before getting up and turning the camera off
He then went and grabbed the bandages and wrapped your scratched up arms, all while having an expression of concern mixed in with confusion
“I’m sorry princesa” he said quietly as he wrapped your arms “it won’t happen again”
He gets up and unlocked the door and watched as you ran out and locked yourself in your room to likely continue your breakdown
Val watched his toy self destruct and it wasn’t nearly as fun as it was when he watched his actors do so
He almost felt embarrassed, shameful even. The same way he would feel if he accidentally damaged his expensive car in a way he knew couldn’t be fixed with a simple paint job
Maybe it was your touch that made him feel this, the touch of someone he didn’t have any romantic or sexual interest in
He looked at the camera and felt a deep sense of disappointment hit him
He wanted anger like you had with velvette or emotional pain that you had with Vox
But all he received was fear and all it filled him with was a sense of boredom and shame
He was bored if fear from you, he wanted a more complex reaction
And he’d get it out of you somehow

In hindsight, Jinx realized she shouldn't have rushed the plan. But the moment she had spotted her traitor of a sister in a gas mask? How they had dared intrude onto the lanes with such that were going to find and capture her first? It had brought out the rage that had consumed her even now. There had been no denying that her sister had officially turned turncoat, ready to kill and hurt her own people, for the sake of piltover. So of course her judgement had been clouded by the thick purple smoke in her mind.
When SIlco asked to see her arm, or lack of it now, she relaxed her arm in defeat. She lifted her shoulder forward, moving what was left of the limb. But she wasn't of sound mind as Vi continued to hound her. 'All of that talk, saying you were going to kill us. What a joke, you even let a kid hold you back.'
The hand on her shoulder was enough to ground her back to reality. Silco alone had always been able to do that, to bring her back when all seemed to fail. Jinx finally glanced up to meet his eyes, just as he adjusted Isha's helmet. "I told her to run, I told her that it was dangerous and still she refused to leave." Jinx did smile fondly at that. "You'd be proud of her, she's one of us."
"I waited so long for my chance to have her and yet when she finally came back home, she and her pet enforcer brought the grey with them. Like they were controlling it somehow." Jinx took a breath, finally allowing herself to relax her nerves. "I got so angry. How could Vi use the very thing that killed our father? So, I let my anger cloud my judgement, and for that I'm sorry, Daddy."
Jinx pressed her lone hand to the ground, trying to push herself up. Seeing the struggle, Isha rushed over, squatting underneath her arm and used what strength she had to support her until she was on her feet. The child let out a hmmph of determination as jinx ruffled her hair. "Thanks kiddo."
"Daddy, I know you're angry at Sevika, but don't take it on her. She was looking out for me, even then." Jinx did as instructed, laying as comfortably as she could, given the circumstances. Shimmer laced blood dripped onto the chaise lounge. "You're not mad at me for failing?"
[cont. from x. @jynxd]
When they had first come through the door, he smelled the blood – copper laced with the sweetness of shimmer. It wasn’t Sevika’s. He spun around from his place at his desk, snuffing out his cigar in one quick mush, which destroyed the cigar, itself. He was with her in less than a second, the shimmer carrying him faster than any footsteps could have. “Jinx! What happened?” he asked, his tone perhaps a bit more gruff than he’d intended.
Her answer struck a chord, forcing him to pause and look at her in shock. She had tried to take care of the traitor and the enforcer girl? He hadn’t heard a single whisper of this plan, but in moments he knew exactly who had helped her. Sevika. He cast his bodyguard a very sharp glower, his lips curdling into a steep scowl. “Get something to patch her up,” he hissed out.
Sevika listened, as well she should have, given her risky mistake. She left for the lower floor, no doubt to fetch the medical kit from the basement apartment they all shared.
“Let me see.” His focus immediately fell back upon his daughter, and he gently took her injured arm into his hands to survey the damage. Severed, clean and smooth, almost like it had been cut with a hot knife. Then she reacted to the voice inside her mind, plagued by it. He took a hold of her wrist, but was only able to hold for a second before she wrenched it away in a punch to the wall. His eyes noticed the crack, but his mind was elsewhere.
Isha was given credit for protecting her, and he couldn’t help but think of how Jinx had once saved his life in a similar life or death situation. Pieces of the story fell together, and he processed the information as quickly as his thoughts would allow. He stood straight, resting a hand on Jinx’s shoulder to try and bring her back to the present.
“Hextech guns. I had expected a more elegant weapon,” he said lowly before squeezing her shoulder. “You’re still breathing. Considering the alternative, I would say we’re lucky. And now you know the depth of Isha’s loyalty.” He glanced down at the child, going as far as to reach down and fix the miner’s helmet she wore. “Focus on what you can learn from this, daughter. You must deal with them apart from one another. They have too much power together.”
Ah, but he was getting ahead of himself, as Sevika returned to the room with the medical bag. He snatched it from her hand, still glaring at her. “Sit. Don’t speak. Just… There.” He pointed at the chair across from his desk, and Sevika tensely walked past him to take a seat in it. He returned his eyes to Jinx, and opened the bag. “Lay down on the chaise lounge,” he directed calmly.
