Looking back on arcane season 2, yeah...
Season 2 was pretty underwhelming for me so i've only been focused on the shit I liked. the animation, the music, jinx, ekko, the sisterhood of vi and jinx, mel, viktor and the conflict of zaun and piltover...
but to be frank, it did almost every character a disservice. The story feels significantly dumbed down. This complicated conflict is gone and traded for the heroes to band together. for zaun and piltover to put aside their stuff...
Everything just felt rushed. I also HATED what they did with Cait. I'm sorry, but the writer's making her gas Zaun feels out of place for her. Going after Jinx is one thing (get yo lick back, no complaints), but it feels like they went overboard. especially with seeing how that scene with Isha protecting Jinx from Vi went. Cait is aiming for the gun instead of jinx or isha. We don't even get a convo of Cait and her dad or a real convo with her and Vi. i also fucking hated that dumb fuck moment of cait hitting vi. It was so overdone for the sake of drama...
It might be a parallel to Vi punching powder, but it made zero sense. It's so rushed over for the sake of having Viktor being the big bad at the end and forgetting about the central conflict of season one...
Vi's character is really hoed, too. Not to mention Ekkos disappearance in the season halfway through. The whole season feels exhausted and stretched out. almost like they wanted to set up spin-offs and not end the story in a cohesive way...
I still have a lot of love for this show, but man. it was kind of a whimper. imo

Sometimes you see a certain take about Vi and Jinx and you can immediately tell that this person has never had a sibling.

Achilles, pointing: Can I sit there?
Patroclus: ... that’s my lap.
Achilles: That doesn’t answer my question, Patroclus.

Edit: turns out the twitter above gets flagged as a pro-terf account, so instead of linking to that, here's a link to a different source for the same interview.
