“I-- okay.” Bella’s shoulders slump a little bit. “What if I promise not to cause any trouble?”

Bella shakes her head. “Jo, the Cullens aren’t going anywhere,” she says. “You’re part of this family, this amazing family.... where they go, you go. That’s what makes them so incredible.” She squeezes Johanna’s hand. Bella’s human, she’s different; Edward had left, but it had been to keep her safe. It’s not the same as Johanna. “They’re so full of love. For you, for each other, for the family.”

Bella tries not to fidget too much, but she is insanely restless. She pushes her fingers through her hair to brush it out of her face before she shakes her head. 

“It’s not venting, more just....” She exhales again. “It’s just annoying. I want to be a vampire, I want to be part of this family. But marriage? I know Edward is old fashioned, I get it, but I don’t want to get married right out of high school. He’s treating that like it’s ridiculous, but getting married is ridiculous! Is he scared I’m going to leave him the second I become a vampire? Ugh.” She stops pacing and flops onto the couch before she looks at Johanna.
