Honestly, this has been one that has wracked my brain for a while! Due to that, I think I may have made this a bit long…but I hope you like it! 💕 Thanks for the request!

This is a continuation of my Hero Teacher prompt here

“You know…you really need to stop doing this.”

“If you let it leak, the water bill will be horrendous. Trust me, I know.”

The mechanic's dolly Villain laid on, made a sharp creek as they shifted position and grabbed some kind of adjustable wrench (one that Hero had never seen before…then again they were shit at home repairs) from the tool box. Villain’s head and shoulders were not visible from Hero’s vantage point, so they inclined themselves to speak with Villain's black jean covered legs instead.

Their favorite pair to wear while working the plumbing system, as Hero had come to learn these last few weeks.

Hero tapped their finger on the kitchen counter, “I’m not talking about the sink.”

“Well, I’m working on the sink,” came Villain’s easy and muffled reply.

“Yes, I can see that.”

“Then, as this is the current activity I am doing and you are actively watching me do it, one would assume that the plausible topic of conversation, when begun under such prerequisites, would be about said activity..ie the sink.”

“And I’m not talking about the sink.”

“Then I’m confused.”

Hero huffed in frustration and ran a hand through their hair.

“Stop being obstinate!”

The resulting chuckle from under the caverns of the counter just served to irritate Hero more.

“Obstinate! That’s a big word. Does your class know the meaning of it yet or are you breaking out the SAT words now that you have a chance to talk to an actual adult?”

“For someone whose crotch is sitting dangerously close to my stomping foot, I'm hearing a lot of sass.”

“Fine, fine, point taken. What ARE you talking about then?”

Hero had to think. Honestly. What were they talking about? The home and classroom repairs? The strange new repertoire between the two of them? The fact that Villain had found out their secret identity in the first place?!

“All of it.” They finally conceded.

The torquing of the wrench stopped.

“All of what?” Asked Villain in a falsely innocent voice.

“All of THIS!” Hero gestured around their own kitchen, knowing Villain would pick up on the fact even if they couldn’t see from under the sink.

“Wha…” Hero didn’t let Villain finish.

“THIS! The home repairs, the classroom windows, little Stacy’s bike, Mrs. Santori’s 1998 Avalon…”

“Didn’t realize you knew about that one…”

“Of course I knew! Teachers of the same grade tend to go to the same meetings, dumbass. What else am I to make of her muffler and AC suddenly working again?”

The scraping of the wrench started again.

“Her mechanic is a con artist…Worked with him a few times actually…was going to charge an arm and a leg…”

“That’s not what I’m asking!”

“Then what are you asking?”

Hero had enough.

Leaning over the sink they stomped their socked foot down on the mechanic's dolly right between Villlain’s legs. Using the leverage, Hero viciously rolled Villain out, leaning over so their eyes met while Hero’s hands rested on either side of the sink and their entire stature loomed over them.

It would have been an intimidating pose, had Hero not been in a loose t-shirt, sweatpants and have their hair falling all over their face. Villain had shone up right as Hero had put on some comfortable clothes to cook in.

Villain, for their part, looked shocked for only a moment before replacing the expression with a more condescending and vexing one.

“I’m asking,” Hero said slowly, letting the intimidating tone they only used while hero-ing seep into their voice, “why?”

“Why.” Villain repeated.

“Why.” Hero confirmed.

They stayed that way in silence for a moment. Neither one attempting to break eye contact.

In a sudden movement, Villain brought the wrench they were still holding up to Hero’s face, stopping just short of their nose. Hero didn’t flinch.

“That,” Villain said easily. They moved the wrench the last inch, gently booping Hero’s nose. “Is a story for another time.”

Hero rolled their eyes, straightened and reached their hand down to help Villain up.

“What I think is more important right now, is not the ‘why’, but the ‘who’.”

Now it was Hero’s turn to try and look innocent.

“I don’t know what you mean…”

Villain threw the wrench back into the toolbox with a loud clang.

“Of course you know what I mean!”

“That’s not…I mean…It’s not relevant,” Hero stammered.

“Oh!” Villain walked closer to Hero, effectively backing them into the kitchen island. “It’s not relevant that one of the very precious students you dedicate so much of your life to..is Supervillain’s daughter.”

Depends on the day my dear Avalon.

Most of the time when I listen to certain music it sparks muse instantly. Here are some examples of edits.

I tend to listen to these in the background while writing to hone in on either “sass” or “sadness” and sometimes edits like this

Makes me want to be a menace to society even tho it’s emotional.

Otherwise my muse decides to select threads naturally. Hence in my rules I warn others that while I do try to put my affiliates / mains first sometimes the muse decides “Hey let’s reply to that thread that isn’t a main today!”

🖊 tell me a little about eden!

GLADLY ty for the ask btw! ok ok so this was way longer than I meant for it to be so everything is below!

- he's a prince from avalon. ran away because his family situation is a little /Much/. not so sure about them siding with morganthe and their whole rebellion against king artorius. koda and amari led him to wizard city where he tries to leave his former identity behind and yea . they teach him how things work n everything :) he does end up changing his last name. he's all about having freedom to express himself and screw conformity

- he doesn't know magic prior to this and it's really hard for him to get it down- sets unbelievably high expectations on himself all the time . having cyrus as a teacher is ten times harder but he's Really determined to impress him and get ahead of everyone. his friends have taught him how to slow down and pace himself though and have healthier work habits. graduation is probably the second best thing that's ever happened to him

- he's a huge nerd and i love him for that. knows the most strange hyper specific facts. special interest in history 100%. also prone to visions of the past and future in his sleep. myth wizard things. future visions are a bit hard to decipher and blurry but he has the best memory known to man as myth magic's affected him overtime. he used to fizzle a lot because he could barely remember the names of things or the creatures he summoned came out weird because myth requires the user's full attention. or they straight up wouldn't get along and he didn't want to become part of the list of wizards who's summons went wrong and destroyed ravenwood property.

- the type of guy to go "oh my raven how did you not know that exactly 200 years ago zeus had breakfast on a sunday but this breakfast was special because he chose orange juice instead of apple and it symbolizes the prophecy that foretold the destruction of (world you've never heard of in your life)"

- his pet is a basilisk and it's not the average tiny size of pets. it's like huge and he's walking around campus with it. casually. he *Will* send it into duels against enemies, no pips or mana required. everyone is worried about its venom and stomping into classrooms unannounced but its friendly and likes sleeping all the time

- he loves building machines n stuff.. hands on projects are so fun to him. while storms are usually inventors and myths are usually the poets/writers(?) for eden and devin it's the other way around. oh yeah and they're trying to master astral magic together because eden's too confident to learn from the actual scholar and devin learned it unconventionally so it's safer to practice it with someone he trusts

- his scars are from a weird accident concerning .. erm. black holes and shifts in the fabric of time and realities. He's ok 👍

- personality wise he's calm n serious. full of sass but it's alrifht❤️. he does have a sense of humor around his friends, they mean a lot to him and he knows he wouldn't be here w/o them. he might come off as a jerk first impression but it's unintentional, he'd probably be Hella confused. he will make it obvious if he's holding a grudge against you though . he's very very blunt lol. also extremely competitive, Especially if you're putting in as much effort as he is. he's at the pvp arena with devin All The Time... eden has shifted from the idea that "competition means he needs to be the best" to "competition is fun" because of devin 100% though. They have so much banter. have i mentioned they're gay yet

There were some nights, rare nights, when Avalon tended to get antsy and needed a little bit of adventure. Those were the nights that she either stole something or went out. She wasn't normally a dress up and go out type of gal. But it wasn't unheard of. She'd actually cleaned her skin of grime and oil and paint before heading to the nicer club than the dive bar where no one cared if she had oil on her.

She wandered in, checking the place out and who was around. Tonopah may not have been as big as Dallas but there were occasionally new faces. Not to mention she didn't really get out all that much. She slid up to the bar, ordering a drink just as some floozy let out one of the worst sounds she'd ever heard. "Good lord," she muttered, twang slipping out. "Oh, uh, yeah sure. Don't worry about it. I'm sure there aren't many people who keep their composure when they hear a Harpy shriek," she chuckled, handing over a stack.

Caleb was hunched over the bar, gingerly sipping his drink as he aimlessly made a rough portrait sketch on his napkin. It’d been almost a month without an anonymous note waiting for him on his dining table or on his desk at work. All the last one had read was ‘WE SEE YOU’– on a card placed on top the bookshelf in his study at home. Still, he felt eyes on him wherever he went. Like at any moment, the anonymous would suddenly make themselves known. 

The moment the woman next to him let out a shrill, ear-piercing shriek of laughter, Caleb startled and knocked his drink across the bar top, effectively soaking his napkin sketch so the ink bled. “Shit– uh– could you hand me a couple more napkins,” Caleb turned to the person on the other side of him, hands hovering over the bar as the spilled drink started dripping onto his pants.

Avalon had been working herself to the bone. Her least favorite time of year was coming up. Not to mention her apartment getting broken into and Isaac not showing up for his birthday and the fact that she was probably running on about 10 hours of sleep for the week. She'd parked her car outside the shop and was just crashing when she couldn't keep going anymore. She was working on a project and had zoned out so badly she'd barely heard Cole even come in. She tended to neglect herself until she couldn't anymore. She tilted her head. "Not a bad guess. Art is kind of a hobby I guess. Just always done it. But I'm actually a mechanic. Down at the Reaper," she answered. "Always willing to get a little dirty. Where's the fun otherwise?"

"If it makes you feel any better, you don't need no pampering 'cause you're beautiful even without all this shit." He said, referring to the mask he wore that currently had the skin of his face feeling uncomfortably stiff. "But since you brought it up and since I clearly got time to kill sitting here getting pampered, what's it you do? You a painter? Do construction?" He probed, his gaze wandering down to her hands, trying to assess. "Clearly gotta be a job you're willing to get dirty."
