[Suffering Leaves AU] - The Basics

In this AU, essentially everything plays out in a similar manner up to the Gala Incident while also being from Cyn's POV. During her time at the Manor, Lil Cyn had made a deal with the devil the Absolute Solver to be brought back for a second chance after being disposed of from her previous occupation. Tessa takes her in and the Solver slowly and steadily infests throughout Lil Cyn's body and coding to make her "act out" as it tries to become accustomed to having motor function.

After being sent to the basement by Tessa specifically, Lil Cyn assumes that her "savior" can't stand the outbursts that she can't remember thanks to the Solver, so she takes up it's offer to fix things however possible as long as it doesn't hurt Tessa. Obviously, it doesn't exactly listen as the Solver takes over Lil Cyn's body completely and essentially shoves her into the mental passenger seat as the Gala is decimated and Tessa is killed, skinned, and devoured.

Now locking Lil Cyn behind firewalls and protocols in her own body, the Absolute Solver created a new user while using a customized template defined by violence and hatred for humanity, though it quickly overtakes the Solver's position and takes full control of its new vessel. During its subsequent war against all of mankind with the newly created Disassembly Drones, TessCyn would go on to devour and destroy Earth, the Proxima Cluster, and the Plat-Binary System while leading the main DD trio as "Boss".

She then quickly realized that Lil Cyn left something behind: A protocol labeled "Feuilles Souffrantes" that forces all of TessCyn's motor functions to cease as it makes her grieve at random intervals in her original host's stead, flashing key moments from the past for set amounts of time. Things take a turn as J ends up betraying TessCyn on the way down to Copper-9 to join up with the rest of the cast, thus causing her to retreat during the final fight when the others assume that she was killed after seeing she was impaled through her core, although it was a last minute trick of the cameras that allowed her to escape.

As of now, TessCyn resides in an abandoned foundry some distance away from Cabin Fever Labs, biding her time and ever so slowly gathering strength for an eventual second attempt. Unfortunately, the greatest enemy of hers other than the protocol is an intangible duo: Time and unexplored emotions.

What's the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?

Pretty early on in my RP experience, I had a major plot point spoiled by an assistant admin in a zombie-based RPG. One of the rules of the group, like many, was to message the main with any major life event, i.e, marriage, death, pregnancy, to get permission. A ship partner and I decided to do an unplanned pregnancy plot, so we asked the main.

A few days later, during a thread, one of the assistant admins' characters notices my character was pregnant BEFORE SHE EVEN KNEW. Like, not a mention of anything from either of the ship's characters. No verbal or even inner narrative mention of pregnancy.

The ship partner and I called them out and left with a few others trailing because of the mess that was occurring behind the scenes (two admins formed a real-life relationship and then broke up). The hard part was that I'd helped the OG admin in the group's infancy by ghostwriting nearly a dozen skeleton bios. So I had put a lot of work into the RP myself, and it felt like a betrayal. The silver lining was that I left with a few amazing long-term writing partners, and I eventually went on to build and administer a couple of groups afterwards before landing in indie-land.

It's to be expected, really. I kind of find it interesting thinking of how Sunny would react to it. And I maintain that I think that one user could have had genuine concern.

As long as people aren't trolling in ways that actually cause inconvenience, such as spamming my inbox, I'm okay with it. After all, I can always choose not to answer it - Mod

Admin here, thanks for your concern! Part of this is because my posts are driven by asks sent, and part of this is because I have a lot more activity planned for later on in October - so I gotta give myself a bit of slack for now! And school's a pain in the butt.

But I'm getting through it, and updating the blog is a highlight for me, so I'm not stopping anytime soon :)
