I have a little bit of an interesting question! I know you stated you like writing horror and NSFW, or at least you do not mind dabbling in them, so I'm curious to your opinion:

(Please, very important onto this, keep in mind that, when I ask about 'Yandere', while yes, I mean this lovesick, obsessed character who goes to kidnapping/harming others/threatening/killing etc extremes to get the object of their affection/obsession, there's many yandere types. I PERSONALLY like only a handful of them because I am very careful with TW (I do not like toxic relationships where the 'darling' is deprived of privacy, is mistreated, forced to do things, has hands laid on them, has their emotional well being messed up by demeaning words, etc, and I do not enjoy abuse depictions of the trope either, so I cherry-pick a lot (due to personal trauma). Yanderes are often portrayed as straight up abusive when they needn't be, there's delusional ones, lucid ones who do not want to feel the way they do, others who rather give themselves to the object of obsession/affection and would rather hurt themselves than ever upset them, others who lean more towards manipulation, etc.). I say this because TW are important and while this is 'just a question in a blog' I want to inform you that there is NO EXPECTATION for you to write abuse, toxicity or anything of the sort. While being WELL AWARE that yandere relationships WILL be unhealthy in nature, it is that kind of 'unhealthy possessive' vibe you can enjoy IN FICTION, and should NEVER allow in real life. Take care of yourselves ❤️)

Obviously, none of the characters are canonically yandere, but do you have any opinions on who could fit the bill? And how/what way/what category they'd fit into?

I haven't done a whole lot with the Yandere trope. I have one unpublished fan fiction for another fandom entirely that involves a yandere character in an antagonistic role. I don't tend to romanticize it because of how problematic it can be.

So needless to say, ⚠️ trigger warnings ⚠️ ahead for this topic, some more than others (lookin' at you, Doffy).

I feel like Sanji could fit the bill of being the lucid, regretful yandere. He knows that his obsession with you could be problematic, but he just can't help it. He gets insecure and jealous easily, and may be inclined to threaten any other men that happen to get to close to his beloved, platonically or romantically. He wants you completely to himself. Would be apologetic about his behavior and feel sincerely guilty for it, but just unable to keep himself from doing so. He also feels his behavior is protecting you in a way from being taken advantage of, and that's the only justification he can make for it—even to himself.

Mihawk, while his confidence and ego mean he's not really the jealous type, would still be a worthy candidate. He wants you aware that you are his in every sense of the word. You, your love, your mind, your body, all belong to him. No one else. He may very well be violent about it, though not toward you—just toward anyone who dares challenge his ownership over you. Toward his lover, he would be particularly doting and gentle, treating you like a fragile and priceless work of art. He would be incredibly disinclined to allow you to go anywhere without him; and if he finds out anyone else is attempting to court your affections or, heaven forbid, hurt you, then their days are going to be numbered.

Next would be Crocodile. Getting more ⚠️triggery⚠️ here. Prime candidate for a possessive yandere. Even if he doesn't have much time for you, you're still his property. He'll expect you to have time for him, to adhere to his schedule and his whims. He'll have a list of rules that you have to follow—no speaking with other men without him present, no going out in public without him or a guard that he has personally assigned to you; this is as much for the sake of keeping you safe as it is to ensure that you don't do anything he would disapprove of. In exchange, he'll shower you with lavish gifts, and treat you like a princess when he is with you...but if you break the rules, there will be consequences.

And lastly, and by far the most triggery, Doflamingo. Congratulations, you've caught the attention of an absolutely sadistic and manipulative yandere! He values total control over all aspects of your life. But he's going to make you think you have some freedom at first. He'll pout a little if you want to go somewhere without him, but he'll allow it...on the surface, at least. Then he'll hire some thug or other criminal deviant to scare you right back into his arms, whether with idle threats or physical force. He'll make you feel like he's your only source of safety and comfort. Make you defend him to your concerned friends and family of your own volition, until you have absolutely no one left but him to turn to. He'll justify it by saying it absolutely is for your own safety, and he sincerely believes that to be true; even if he wasn't hiring people to frighten you, there's still every chance that you could be hurt or enticed to leave if you stray too far from his side, and he can't allow that. Whether he views you as a lover or just a plaything, no one else is allowed to touch you but him.

...and you don't know where to start? Well I got you. I like talking about my favorite bands and I love recommending music.

So, I won't go into details about the band, you can look that part up. All you need to know, imo is that it's unfortunately disbanded. Why you need to know that? Cause some people don't like listening to bands that are no longer active. Another thing you might wonder is if the members are still active. Well Ryo (bunch of projects, HOLLOWGRAM, DALLE, etc.) and Uta (Sukekiyo) are. Hati isn't, I've looked it up and...as far as the rest of members, who weren't showing up much in photoshoots are concerned, I unfortunately don't know. The fact they were sometimes in sometimes out discouraged me from looking further into them or following their activities BUT I'm sure you can find something about them on vkgy (if you haven't tried that site, do so, it's an amazing archive of vkei bands). Anyway, let's get to the music.

[side note: Some fans might disagree with my choices or think I should add 1-2 more songs, but this is just an opinion. If you wish to make a list of your own go ahead, every person has different criteria on what feels easier to listen to first, or showcases a band's colors best.]

Sink is the first song that got me into the band and I would hands down recommend it to anyone wanting to give this band a try. It's a common starter for many fans as well, as I learnt years later so yeah. If you like moody stuff with a melody that takes you places, you will like this one.

If my 18-19 year old self saw me suggesting this song, she would goggle her eyes at me. The reason I'm suggesting this is because it was one of their songs I didn't like at all for years, however, whenever I accidentally came across it, the melody stuck to me FOR DAYS. This is one of their catchiest tunes in my eyes. You don't understand, when I don't like a song I almost never come back. I was bewitched to like this song xD. If you are like me, you probably won't like it on the first try, but give it a few listens and you might change your mind. ;)

This is another song I see many 9goats fans enjoy and I think it's easy to listen, too. I love it personally and I also love the pv cause I get to clearly see everyone! Up until their last pv's release, Uta and Hati, even though they showed up in photoshoots, they weren't often visible in pvs for long, if at all. They both have amazing aesthetic, beyond their music artistry, they can give you strong visuals if you ask them to, but they both were more focused on sound and I think, in Uta's case that is obvious even now that he is with Sukekiyo. They wanted their music to be the center of attention it appears and that's ok, but to me it was a bit sad they didn't let us see them in pvs more too.

I say that a lot, if you know me and we've spoken about this band before, but I consider them the closest thing I have ever felt like calling “black magic in music form”, but in a novel way. This song is a good indication why. Also this song showcases everybody's talent. Ryo's haunting voice, Uta's screaming guitar, and Hati's calm bass carrying everything else from the back and making the sound move like waves in the sea, slow at first and then speeding up and back to slow again. The drums are powerful here as well, the melodic piano, creating such a soaring feeling with everything else, it's just ugh.

This is one of those songs that feels like it's from a videogame to me. Or a movie, if you aren't a videogame person. It's mysterious, like following a character around during the night. It's quite haunting too. The way the music trails off at places especially....goodness gracious. The distortions, the melody just...try it try it. Very cinematic.

You might need more time with the band before you try this one, but it's really good. The way the drums enter after the guitar and Ryo's first lyrics grasps my heart. It makes me shiver every single time, chills, chills, chills across the board. If you have a woofer at home, please use it. Let it shake your room, feel it. And if you have earphones or headphones, choose headphones at least once. I don't know how effective this song is on others, but they can't have added so much ahm...how do you call that, underground sound I guess, unless they wanted people to feel the instruments vibrate underneath you (not that way, ye nasties, like an earthquake I mean).

I hope you find sth you like, if not, it's ok, we all like different things, but yeah, this was my attempt to entice more people listen to one of my favorite bands, 9GOATS BLACK OUT.

Anyways, these are really good questions and I do have some thoughts:

(Watch me describe my own series like I'm a theorist; I really am indecisive and not very good at planning ahead, ha)

Right now, I'm almost positive his 'connection' abilities would include telepathy, empathy, an instinctive knowledge of the people he's tying together - a handful of generally subtle things that aren't really helpful for combat. If the connections, the threads, can carry not just consciousness, thoughts, feelings - but energy itself, then... that does open up a lot of possibilities.

I grew up on shounen anime like Bleach and Naruto. Does the idea of Don being able to do cool stuff with all the kids' powers appeal greatly to me??? Absolutely, no question. Case closed.

I do, however, consider the kids unlocking their ninpo to be a power boost. I think connecting with that endless well of energy brings them up to a higher tier of power, higher than most people can reach with their natural mystic potential. Don's kids are going to eclipse him completely, leave him in the dust, and I kind of like that, really. As a kind of clumsy metaphor for kids growing up and leaving home and reaching greater heights than their parents and all that stuff. Even though Don does not want them to ever have to fight, his kids are going to be darn good at it.

(And that does bring up the question as to whether or not Hamato abilities are inherited by blood or by genuine familial affection - I lean towards it being a genetic sort of thing. Especially for Hold Every Memory, I think. Just because someone doesn't have access to the Hamato ninpo doesn't mean they're not part of the family. April, Casey Jr, Draxum; they're all Hamato to some extent, ninpo or no. So, if Don were capable of drawing mystic energy from the kids, if they left that metaphorical spigot on so he could draw further still to the well of ninpo beyond, that would probably be the only way he could access that kind of power at all.)

I'm not sure that giving Don access to the kids' powers is something I want to do, narratively speaking, but oh man would that be awesome. And I'm not opposed at all to exploring the possibility of him being able to do those sorts of things regularly in some sort of side story, or seeing someone else play around with it. (I do think he'd need to practice with them, first - the Rise turtles had to learn their way around their powers, they're not instinctive. Especially so, I'd think, for Don, whose innate talents are not chains or portals or mystic projections, so he's starting from a lower point to begin with.)

It's a fun thing to think about, that's for sure! (And I may have... done more than just think about it. Should be up in a few minutes. Hope you like it!)

Hogwarts Legacy Fanfic

Some AI art for my new story character (because while I feel I am a talented writer I am not an artist). She’s ended up in the Hogwarys Legacy game from a modern day time- which is why the baseball cap.

This story follow Jane Moore, a girl whose background we wont really get into- for the sake of my sanity. All we know is that she is American, a girl, loves playing Hogwarts Legacy, and now she gets placed into the game.

…..The sorting ceremony! She had only taken every buzzfeed and pottermore quiz that had ever existed! Now she was going to live the real thing! Well as real as this was. Whatever, she was going to milk this for all that it was worth!

She followed after Black, feeling a little self conscious about all the eyes following her. She steeled herself from looking through the crowd to try to find Ominis- she was going to make their first encounter a memorable one. Instead she focused on the task ahead- what house was she going to be sorted into.

Now the whole deal with the storing is that you choose your destiny. Even in the game, if you get sorted into a house you can just choose whichever one you wanted anyway. Jane had played through them all and was now debating which one she should go with in this magical circumstance.

She thought that she might actually be a Ravenclaw, but she could go with the OG Gryfinndor for nostalgia- being in Harry Potter's house would be awesome. But the Hufflepuff common room was probably the best out of the four (in her opinion), but Slytherin would get her more time with her favorite character....

As she reached the stool where she would meet her fate, she decided to just let the hat do its things. It was kind of like she was getting the ultimate buzzfeed quiz. She froze before she made her way to the seat- staring in awe as the professor Weasley brought the scrubby hat towards her. It really looked like it was hundreds of years old- also it had been on literally a bunch of 11 year olds heads.... No no it was fine, this was all a dream- none of that stuff mattered.

She took her seat and tensed excitedly as the hat covered over her eyes.

"Ah yes- a bit older than the others, aren't you?"

Ah yes, the pre-set dialogue. At this point she might be able to copy exactly what the hat was going to say. Maybe this was going to be just like the game and all she was going to do was answer two questions before it placed her. She was feeling momentarily bummed until she heard what it had to say next.

"It seems your age isn't the only thing that is setting you apart though- now is it."

She froze- this was not part of the game. On top of that it didn't sound like the hat was asking, rather it was telling her that it knew.

"Do you know who I am?" she sent thought out, hoping that if it was somehow in her head it could also hear her thoughts.

"Oh I know and see much more than you could ever dream of. I see you've been given the chance to accomplish something great, and that all you need is already inside of you. I see that you question yourself and even who you can become. Well then if you cannot trust yourself, then allow me the chance to trust in this old hat."

She didn't say or think anything, instead she just nodded.

"GRYFFINDOR!" The hat called out its words to the entire hall.

As the mass of fabric was lifted off her, she brought her hands to her face to shield her eyes from what felt like blinding light. The room had erupted into cheers, the red table yelling out the loudest. Jane dropped down from her seat, and was literally pushed by Professor Weasley towards her seat at her new house table.

People around her patted her on the back and congratulated her, but it was all white noise. She stared dumbfounded at the space in front of her, and even the food she had dreamed about eating ever since watching the first Harry Potter film couldn't rouse her. She knew this was all some sort of dream, but man that hat triggered something inside of her that felt so... real...

Chuang Asia Thailand Episode 1!

It’s been too long since I got into a survival show lol. I mean my last one was Girls Planet 999 and that was 2 years ago! So anyway I’ll be taking you all with me on this journey by posting the notes I took while watching the episode plus my current top 9. Spoilers ahead!!

•I’m happy to see Nene as a mentor! I loved her when I watched Chuang 2020

•This is produced by Jackson Wang? They’ve got TEN??? Okay Chuang Asia I’m interested.

•Looking at the contestant list and of course there are 14 year olds. Don’t vote for the 14 year olds you guys. My personal age minimum for voting is gonna be 17 so I won’t consider anyone younger than that. Contestants that are over 18 get my preference though. The idol industry is bad enough for adults, I’d prefer if we didn’t debut minors as well. I know ironic coming from someone who ults Yeseo lol. (She was the youngest active kpop idol when she debuted in Busters.)

•Also they're really going hard with this being international. This makes Mnet look pathetic for what they did in Girls Planet lol.

•Oh the flirting part with Jasmine was so akwarrrrrrd. 100% secondhand embarrassment.

•I felt bad for Elyn when she was crying and said “No Filming!” But they proceeded to just zoom in on her crying face :( TURN THE CAMERA AWAY FROM HER!

•The trip.com ads are so funny to me because these survival show ads where they pretend to use a product are usually for stuff like snacks or beverages or makeup. But they’ve got these girls pretending to casually book a flight lmao

•The barbie group having only one member thats older than 16 and then proceeding to perform Barbie World where they say stuff like “that pussy so cold” and “he spank me when I get bad” -_- Someone should have made them pick another song.

•OOOH the Avex group’s performance of Left Right was great. Maybe the best of the episode although Mindy was really impressive too.

•Ilene’s little fan moment with Jackson was adorable!

•They announced the first top 9 but I feel like we’re still missing some performances?? Is that an editing thing to get that ranking in the first episode and we ares still going to get more next episode or did they just skip some people? Like I don’t think we saw Ruan and I was waiting for her. I could have sworn there were some CSR members too and I haven’t seen them perform either. I guess we’ll see.

• I watched the theme song on YouTube and it’s so cute!! Weird that it’s all about summer when this is airing in winter though. Is it summer in Thailand?? I thought they were above the equator. Okay yeah they are so idk why they’re singing a song about it being summer. Also I got spoiled for Ruan center! Now I know they wouldn’t just skip her. There’s got to be more intro round performances next episode.

•Okay so my Top 9 picks will be based on who performed in this first episode only so I’m sure it’ll change a lot after ep. 2.

1. R-Jing - She blew me away in the extra performance. Her singing was so pretty! She’s so cute too and apparently trained at SM?? I always latch onto a girl first episode and this is my girl!

2. Akina - Maybe it’s bc of her experience in her past group but she seems really comfortable on stage. I like her vibe and she’s clearly very talented. She seems really nice and down to earth.

3. Rinka - I looked back at her gp999 performances and I can see why I didn’t remember her. She seems to have improved so much though! Her voice stood out positively and she’s got some star power I didn’t see in her old performances. I’m excited to see more of this new Rinka!

4. Lissa - I don’t know how to feel about her strange vibe but I liked her performance. Lots of energy and a nice voice. I’m very intrigued by her at this point.

5. MingMing- such a clear and pretty voice!!! Her and Pangjang together were both the vocal highlights of their team’s performance but MingMing is the only one of the two thats over my voting age limit.

6. Mamcú - Really interesting and beautiful voice. Apparently she competed on the Voice?? We’ll need to wait and see how she does with dancing but she seems really earnest about her desire to he an idol not just a singer so I’ll put my faith in her!

7. Shye - We barely got to see her performance but I was intrigued by what we saw. I don’t know if she can dance yet but I’ll find out soon enough. And lets be real, I have a lil crush on her and thats enough to get you in the top 9 at this point in the game. I mean look at her in her leather jacket!

8. Emma - Her dancing was great and she choreographs her own stuff too! I was really impressed by her dance skills both in her extra performance and the dance battle!

9. Tegan - gorgeous gorgeous deep voice! She’s so pretty too! I really liked her but I have no idea if she can dance. I feel like if she could she would have shown it since she got two performances so I’m hesitant.

Honorable Mentions:

Krista Shim - I’m not voting for Krista because she’s under the age I decided on being my voting limit but honestly I’d put money on her making it to the final group. You can just tell with these shows. It's in the way they edit it.

Mao Xiu Ling & Mao Xiu Ting - Of course we have a pair of twins! I’ve always loved this survival show gimmick. I love their look and their dance together was really cool! 

Kaylen - The other half of the Hawaiian Duo! Kaylen pulling Jackson Wang up to the stage with her was such a power move. I didn’t like her solo performance as much as her partner Tegan’s though

Praew- I liked her energy when she introduced herself and then her dancing was insane! I will not be voting for her because she’s 15. She's just a baby.

Hi, I absolutely adore your writing and I think you're really good at it. I can always picture things clearly while reading your fics, and your dialogue and descriptions never come off as clunky, they're just very natural and flow-well together. So, I was wondering if I could ask for a few writing tips? I want to contribute to the fandom a bit more, but I'm worried my writing is terrible. "is this too much dialogue? Is this slice-of-life conversation too boring? Why am I switching between past and current tense multiple times in the same sentence? Should I write in first, second, or third person", etc. Do you also think things like that when you write, and if so, how do you overcome them? I don't have anyone to share my writing with, so it's difficult to get another perspective on if something is worth posting or if I should re-write it altogether. I'd appreciate any tips you might have, but please don't feel pressured to answer or anything :)

Believe me, I have the exact same worries as you. The EXACT same. It happens with each one of my fics, it really does. Every time I'm nearly finished and proofread it for the hundreth time, I'm always hit with "This is boring as shit, who the fuck's gonna want to sit through this? I'm such a moron, this sentence makes no goddamn sense. The fuck was I even trying to say here? How did I miss that?? My writing is getting worse every day? Epic." and so on and so forth with me swearing at and berating myself lmfao.

I'll tell you why we keep switching between past and present tense multiple times in one sentence. Because our brains are lil assholes that's why. But getting the idea down is the main battle. Let every draft before your final one be awful, don't be afraid to get more of your ideas down. Our sentences can be pretty horrendous getting them written out for the first time. I think I proofread my stuff at least ten times. And just when I think I'm good, I sleep on it and look it over one more time the next day. And I still have typos and present tense sentences in my past tense story.

Some people are prodigies and can get these beautiful stories out like it's nothin'. I've accepted I'm not one of 'em. I don't have talent, but I do have tenacity!

When it comes to first, second, or third person, go for the one that flows best for you rather than the one you think you should do. I'm usually able to tell which one is best when I get a good writing momentum going. Say I was aiming for first person, but when the ideas are pouring out I find myself writing in third person instead, I'll drop first person and go third person. Anything that'll let me get my stuff down. Even if you do write in two different persons without thinking, you can always go back and fix it. There's no rush, you have all the time in the world. 🙂

I like second and third person the best because I can describe what all the characters are feeling rather than just one person's point of view. First person will have a lot more mystery. I've been digging second person because I feel like it really connects the reader to the fic. Plus I like hyping you guys up lol. 😊

When it comes to worrying about the content of your writing, believe me when I say, it will itch someone's scratch. There's an audience for everything. Some people want the slowest of slow burns, some people want hot and heavy and dirty, some people want aimless slice of life bits, and some people want quick, nice, and fluffy. Our writing won't be for everyone, and that's perfectly fine. I'll say it again, THAT IS FINE. We're still worthy!

Sure, sometimes your content will get in front of the wrong people. And they might even feel the need to say something shitty to you. Fuck 'em. Whenever I get attacked, I watch those reacting to hate comments videos on youtube. You're never alone when it comes to putting up with shitheads online.

I love writing because I have a scenario stuck in my head and I need to get it down. I'm not satisfied with it only living in my head. Once I'm done, putting it out there for anyone else to stop by for 5 minutes and check out is just a bonus. If people don't like my style or structure, oh well. I like it, and let's face it. I'm the only person that my writing and little fandom posts will be with years and years down the line. If you've made something you personally want to keep coming back to, you've won.

Here's where I get technical if you're still interested haha. When it comes to how I personally like to write, this is what I think about. You do not have to vibe with any of this! This is just a lil peak into my mind teehee:

Actions and mannerisms are everything, no matter how small, maybe the smaller the better.

I realized I really like reading about the little actions people do when I first read The Wolfman by Nicholas Pekearo (RIP). If there's a writing style I want to capture, it's this guy's. Combining cutesy, romantic content with his gruff prose is my biggest writing goal in life. I have no idea why this sentence is stuck in the back of my head whenever I write, but it has been for years now. "I palmed the quarter, stuffed it into the pocket of the shorts I wore to bed, and moved the ashtray with my foot." Like why... why tf is that sentence stuck in my head???? I just really liked the way he wrote it. He kept it simple, I could picture it clearly, and I felt like I could see a bit of the character's personality in it. Just from how he mentioned he moved the ashtray on the floor with his foot, I felt like it told me a bit about him and how he moved through the world.

Keep dialogue short and sweet. Did it feel natural when I said it out loud?

I'm not one for huge monologues or super eloquent Pride and Prejudice love confessions. The less that's said, the sexier. Probably my all time favorite, most haunting dialogue line comes from Dragon Age: Origins, when our Warden is talking to Zevran before the final battle: "Whatever happens... I love you." "Cruel to the end." 😦 aight, DA writers. I see you, and I'll be seeing you in my dreams for the rest of my life gah dayum.

Give the reader more credit

If you don't know how to write something, don't worry! People can put things together on their own. Just from reading "they kissed", we can easily picture a bunch of different ways it's going down: what their hands are doing, how their mouths are moving, the sounds that they would be making... we're smart, imaginative cookies. Don't fret if we don't picture it exactly how you do 😉

K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid

The writing advice everyone has heard a million times. No need to find the prettiest words or metaphors. The basics can get the job done. (Especially with romance, in the end I just wanna read about people kissin' and touchin' and stuff.)

Don't be afraid to start over

Let's say you wrote the most beautiful sentence of your life, but it makes no sense with your story. Get rid of that shit. I know it's scary and you want to find a way to have it fit because you're super proud of it. Nope. Put it aside and save it for another story. Even if you've spent hours, days, months, years on something, you're allowed to get rid of it and start over like it never happened. It's all a part of the process.

Just write, pussy

I say this to myself all the time. Writing is one of those things that I can't get better at unless I do it. You don't have to post a thing. Just write. I cringe so hard looking back at my first fanfics from my Haikyu!! fandom days. But dammit! I had a blast writing those in high school lmfao. And that's really what matters, that you enjoy yourself.

After these weeks, even if I didn't log in so often as I used to due to work and family stuff so I really don't know exactly who has been harassed and how, I've kept reading how many people feel so disconnected and distant from this site that used to be a refuge and a place where we all agreed on the love for Pedro/Pedro boys and other fandoms... I always felt safe, I saw the love we all had for each other through comments, supporting the work of artists that have been around for more than a year in general (some more, some less), friendly asks, etc. Love was in the air... And suddenly (although there are always a bunch of stupid people everywhere, not just here, like that's nothing new), something has happened and everything has become uncomfortable for many people, who feel singled out and judged for different reasons by a group of some jerks with bad intentions, prejudices and lots of free time.

... I understand (for what I could find randomly) that they have destructively criticized authors and their writings for random reasons, like age gap and other things ... Others were directly plagiarized, others left months ago after suffering bullying because people hiding behind fake accounts made up that they were mean behind the backs of people who appreciated them... Yeah, well, many many creepy things.

In short, what used to be, at least for me, a place to enjoy the work of other users and support everyone I could so they could continue doing what they are passionate about... Now feels like a place where those artists want to run away from and even stop creating for a while...

It breaks my heart and since I don't know exactly who this has happened to, I send all my support and love to everyone who has been affected. And I encourage them to always go ahead with what makes them happy. Take the time you need, post wherever you feel safe, but never stop creating cause of some rude, cowardly, unempathetic cowards. Most of us, 99% of your audience love you, enjoy your work and, if they don't, they understand that not everything is made for everybody, and that's perfect.

The other 1%... Please, PLEASE, quit. It's not just about this site, it's a about how you make other people feel, about how you can be so evil you do this shit and don't even think twice before. Everyone here is a human being behind a screen. With their lifes, jobs, families, studies and everything in between... You don't know who's struggling and enters here to feel a bit better doing whatever they love, creating or enjoying other's creations. Maybe someone isnt having the best time of their lifes... Maybe they are having the worst ever, and you guys go and give hell to them... Before you reach to anyone here, think if what you're gonna say will help them grow, improve, feel good...

Or if, on the contrary, whatever happens to you has only to do with you, with whether you like or dislike something that you could have stopped reading... With your preferences, which you should not impose on others, with your prejudices or with your vital dissatisfaction, in need of confrontation and people having a hard time to improve your mood.

IN THAT CASE, SHUT THE FUCK UP. Please and thank you. LET PEOPLE BE. You win NOTHING AT ALL doing those things and the one you annoy with all that crap can lose motivation, inspiration, you can hurt their feelings... Is it necessary to write 828119k words to tell you this as if you were toddlers? REALLY?

Sorry for writing such a superlong post, and im sure i might've maaany mistakes there. But im sure all of you understand what I mean and feel as sick of this as I do, with all these great people dealing with this who knows why...😒

Review #491: Harry’s House, Harry Styles

I have never really taken much interest in One Direction or any of the solo careers of its members. A generation or two ahead. I gave “Fine Lines” a listen when it came out (which was previously on this list!) and didn’t think it was anything special. It does seem like Rolling Stone has really taken an interest in Harry Styles, and I don’t have any strong feelings about that either way.

Harry’s House is really fun. I’d go as far as saying that I like it. I can see myself putting this on in my car. As far as mainstream pop music goes, it’s interesting and different and has so many references to previous eras and artists in it that it’s possible I could spontaneously combust trying to identify them all. But I really enjoy that about it. If I got the chance I’d write a list of all the songs and artists I feel influenced this record and stick it in front of his face and ask him to confirm or deny it.

“As It Was” is a little 80s tribute and I’m not kidding you when I tell you if you wanted to sing “Take On Me” over the top of it, you can and it would work perfectly. I’m not saying you should, but maybe you should. It also sounds like Peter Schilling’s “Major Tom”. This is all very good stuff. If you haven’t heard that last song I just referenced, may I strongly encourage you to change that in the very immediate future.

“Little Freak” and “Matilda” really hurt my feelings (really really). I don’t want to talk about it but I do want to congratulate Harry on that. That’s what music is supposed to do. I’m glad that if he’s had this talent within him that he has been given the chance to make it happen, to work with the right people and to be taken seriously as an artist after a very particular start in the industry. Let’s hope for a day where every person who can write songs to hurt my feelings gets those opportunities also. Do you think as he ages he will experience feeling past his prime? No longer valuable? Marketable? That he has anything to offer?

With that being said, Cinema is a completely ridiculous song. A few of them lack substance here and there and that’s one of them. Not everything has to have substance and the actual music carries it, but it’s truly not very good. I think that’s okay though. When you’re actually pushing yourself some of what you make is gonna be not so great, and you’ll look back on it and cringe, but that same process yields tons of good shit. And you know what, it’s probably someone’s favorite song, so that’s really nice.

Something I think about a lot is just how young Harry Styles and the rest of the 1D boys were when they were launched into unbelievable fame and exposure on live TV every Saturday night right before our very eyes. How impossibly hard that must have been for them and they might not have even processed it until they were older (or have they even? Oof). I’ve kinda always been rooting for them. They were children.

The actual thing I always remember is that One Direction actually came runner up in that competition to Matt Cardle, which is wild. You stay like that for a few moments. You can’t really think anymore. There’s a foggy sensation of something in the back of your mind, but it’s slowly fading now. You feel like you’re floating. Slowly drifting away from yourself. It’s relaxing, comforting even. How long has it been since you were able to rest like this? You can’t really remember. You just let it pull you. Let it take you wherever.

You finally feel free.
