Brutal honesty, yeah that's what they all could use sometimes. More often than most would admit. And Tim's never been one to hide what thinks, especially when it comes to their cases. To get anyone to really listen to him and take it seriously was always a struggle. No matter how old he got or grew as a detective, his voice always was lost to the wind with Bruce. Luckily Barbara ( and occasionally Dick ) was a good voice of reason and advocate for him in his later teen years.

But Bruce, oh Bruce was whole obstacle on his own.

His fists clench and unclench at Tim's sides, could feel his veins buzzing and adrenaline tapering off. His tongue heavy with the million things he wants to shout, to scream at his adoptive father. It wasn't fair. He's competed with not one but two shadows and was abruptly pushed out of his former mantle by the blood son. He shouldn't have to keep fighting to be seen anymore.
