Proverbs 6:16-19 NKJV 16 These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

The heartbreak is sacramental. You look out and you see the evil and the violence and the cruel dehumanization. And your heart breaks.
God's heart breaks too. It may be low comfort, but it is the best I can offer you. God sees the abuse, he is El Roi, the God who Sees. But sometimes the enslaved aren't liberated yet. And the mothers aren't whole yet. And the children aren't safe yet. They will be, but not yet.
And his heart breaks too.
I don't know why he doesn't intervene as quickly as I want him to. I don't know why Hagar had to return to her abusers. I don't know why he didn't save all the babies in the Nile. But I know his heart broke at the outcry of his children.
So cry. Let the liquid love stream down your face. And just... know that he's crying with you.

Little Sprout snippet #1
Feyre bit her lip, watching him for a tad longer than she should. Tamlin’s green eyes were alight with a softness she’d never seen. And his gaze never once left his fiancée, a small caramel-sweet smile adorning his lips. Turning from her conversation, Asterin Lovelace flashed him a blinding smile, mouthing something Feyre couldn’t quite catch but made Tamlin step towards her with a laugh.
Bright peals of laughter, like sunshine after heavy rain, broke free from the usually reticent High Lord. Heads turned to their corner, smiling, and even Tarquin looked helplessly smitten at sound. Eris relinquished the grinning female with a well-practiced flourish. Tamlin wrapped an arm around his fiancée’s waist, pulling her closer than proper, and she went easily, giggling in his face. Even Nesta—stoic and frozen as she was—cracked a small smile at the sight of the two beaming in each other’s arms.

I recently saw a post saying that Numbers 5:21 described how to do an abortion. I would like to say that after reading it myself and studying the word, it is not describing how to do an abortion but instead describing a way to tell if a woman was unfaithful as well as punishing her. An abortion is when a woman terminates an unwanted pregnancy. But the ritual described in Numbers 5:21 is not based on the wantedness of the pregnancy. The ritual is to see if a woman who is suspected by her husband of infidelity whether or not she was unfaithful. A priest would give her cursed water, and if she was unfaithful, she would miscarry. If she was faithful, the pregnancy would continue as normal. This wasn't something that was done so a woman could be rid of an unwanted baby but instead a way for a husband to see if his wife was faithful. If she proved to be unfaithful, the woman would not only lose the baby but also everyone would know she cheated and her husband might even divorce her as it is Biblically that either the wife or husband may decide to divorce the other if either party is caught in the act of adultery. So no. Numbers 5:21 is not a step-by-step introduction manual on how to have an abortion. Also, whilst the Bible does not specifically say abortion is wrong, it does speak of how all life, even in the womb, is made wonderfully by God.
Psalm 139:13-16 ~ For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Jeremiah 1:5 ~ "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."
Also, if you're a biology nerd like I am, you'd know that a fetus is considered a life as it fits within the 4 Criteria of Life, has its own DNA sequence making it a separate life form, and contains human DNA thusly making it human life (and is not a parasite as it does give back to the mother, one of those ways being that it gives her immune system a boost). Thus, killing a fetus is to murder a human life. Wanna know what the Bible says about murder?
Exodus 20:13 ~ “You shall not murder."
By this, we can safely say God frowns upon abortions and there is no verse that says abortions are okay

this is a bit of a reach i'll admit but there's something about paige and VAL and their gods and parenthood that eats at me. paige explicitly refers to her god as "my god-child" when she threatens it and sinks into a state not unlike postpartum depression following its emergence; VAL's god functions like an especially high-stakes game of make-believe ("The Last Word tells me..." rings of playground gossip), she bears the scars of its 'birth' on her body, and she continues the cycle of violence her own mother inflicted on her through it, reenacting her own trauma to justify lashing out. there's a saying that our parents are our first gods, but what if your god is a child, with all the risks and random, senseless, didn't-know-better violence that can strike out if not guided by a steady hand that implies?

Nos corps engagés,
Our engaged bodies,
au milieu de cette nuit.
in the middle of this night.
Nous dansons sur la piste,
We dance on the floor,
et le rythme dégivre nos cœurs gelés.
and the rhythm thaws our frozen hearts.

I'm so tired of people taking issue with the love interest not saying the L word back while they have shown through their actions how in love they are with the main character...
