Like everyone was hyping it up as an up-and-coming industry and I was sooo excited that I did all the research into what specific equipment they had so I could ask about their HPLC in the interview and I vibed real well with the lady interviewing me and just... $12/hour. Why the fuck did I even get a degree for $12/hour? They told us all that we needed a degree to get anywhere in life and then made all that work and debt pointless. I make more suffering in retail than I would if I actually used my degree. And that's just sad.
