Sorry - you can’t make me kill Haymitch, so Haymitch’s brother was reaped and having aged out he couldn’t volunteer.

Maysilee feel responsible for all 47 deaths and tries to support the families of D12’s fallen tributes. As a result- she offers Haymitch’s mother a position as housekeeper.

Haymitch was injured in the mines and unable to work. He can still play fiddle(?) and that earns him a little, but not enough to support both he and his mother. So Mrs. Abernathy accepts the job at Maysilee’s (with mixed feelings.)

Maysilee has always loved music - she chooses it for her Victor’s Talent and somewhere along the way (Haymitch walks his mother to and from work each day?) Haymitch and Maysilee begin making music together.

Uh-oh - it’s now a ship fic (what can I say?)

Okay, so - my favourite musical right now is probably "Bandstand". And the thing I love most about it is how the creators of this musical managed to take such a difficult topic and do it justice. A musical about WW2 veterans who are dealing with heavy PTSD and survivor's guilt, who are not needed anymore now that the war is over, and even though everyone around them is saying that everything will be "just like it was before", for them nothing is like it was... and how they overcome it, how they deal with what they had to go through, and how they learn to find joy and purpose in a new post-war reality... y'all, I bawled my eyes out while watching this musical.

Ok ok ok this took a sec bc I had to clean my room

So the first 2 pics are ones I don't have colored variants for but I got the ghost one today and was very excited bc the insert is like 28 pages long and fully illustrated and it's gorgeous (I'll send pics if you want) and then my 2 fob records and my EC ep and the silver cobra fbr anniversary vinyl. The only 2 picture discs I have are the watchmen one because it sounds like shit but it looks really really cool on my wall and the electric century self titled because it was only released on picture disc because mikey way hates me personally. And then i have my bones uk vinyl which was very cool because the insert had the guitar tabs to one of their songs and my ls dunes one. My absolute favorite is my there's a dyke in the pit 7 inch which has 4 singles on it from bikini kill, tribe 8, seven year bitch, and Lucy Stoners and was the first release from outpunk records in the 90s, which was the first explicitly queercore record label. Also as u can see it's a colored vinyl and idk why but it's genuinely the highest sound quality vinyl I have it's insane

this is a REALLY cool collection those picture discs look really cool (if nothing else 💔) and that is a really really cool selection of albums. the ghost one comint with a 28 page insert sounds completely right. like i wouldnt expect it but its exactly how its supposed to be i think. alsooooo that split vinyl. i love split vinyl it looks so fucking cool.
