hello there! this is my very first time writing for anyone relating to yuyu hakusho and i'm not even halfway finished with the series yet so please understand that the characterization will not be 100% correct so .. :P thank you for requesting!

KURAMA: REACTION TO HAVING A CRUSH.

when he realizes he has a crush, he kind of just.. realizes, he's not like hiei who would denounce any and all feelings or kuwabara who would put his pride to the side to go on to ask them out, he kind of just finds out that he has a bit of interest in them, giving it time and thought and comes to the conclusion that "yep, i have a crush on them."

has kurama had a crush before? does kurama have past lovers? well, no to both questions, he never really gave the idea much thought and hasn't found any humans that interest him in that regard, sure, some people are attractive, but when this specific person came.. it kind of awakens something in him.

and as for type, he doesn't exactly have one, he's not the "all humans look the same" because he knows full well they don't, but, he most likely prefers someone who is a bit on the feminine side.

kurama has never really been one for love at first sight, getting to know someone more then seeing if they're for them or not is much better... he kind of doesn't understand why humans would want to jump straight into relationships without at least getting to know each other first.

it'll take some time for him to actually take any action, he kind of wants to get closer with them the natural human way, he's not exactly new to human interaction, and hasn't had many experiences where he's been called a creep or anything, so, befriending them would be a great start, therefore he'll get to know them better.

once he befriends his s/o and finds out why he likes them so much, he gets a bit impatient, he doesn't want to take things to the next level right now, but he'll still pull through and wait until the time is ready.

eventually months pass, and kurama is ready to confess, this can go two ways.

if they accept; kurama is very happy, asking them for a kiss before they pull them into an embrace, he finally got what he wanted and life is good.

if they reject; kurama is very understanding, though disappointed, he'll still want to remain friends, especially since he had shared some pretty good memories with them.

starscream fans will not like what i say, but someone needs to say this: out of all transformers characters, starscream is generally one of the best included, not only basically every tf media have him, but he gets de facto reinterpretations of his character and not just picking the personality of some other tf and calling it ''reinterpretation''. so for me who is fan of tfs who didnt get anything new for most a decade and when they get they are basically TF X with the name of TF Y, stars fan and their whining is so annoying, specially bcs most of time it's not even based on stars real character they are complaining and instead is why he isn't like the OOC Ao3 fanfictions they read. sorry for the rant and i love your blog and your opinions, have a good day

Everyone has their favorite and they like to see their favorite... But I don't quite get Starscream fans being... Surprised or shocked whenever it's revealed he's in a new story. He's in almost everything. Of course he's in the new thing, he is in the top 5 most marketable characters in the franchise out of over 1000. Soundwave doesn't even show up as frequently.

And yes, he is a character who's pretty much the same every time. Sure, I get wanting to see perhaps more lateral interpretations or writers allowing him to make decisions that don't revolve around absolving Megatron by making Starscream the big meanie (that's more a character development point). However! Consistency is also nice. Best of luck if you're a fan of someone like Prowl. Are you getting the original Budiansky bio or Sunbow Prowl? The ninja Beachcomber TFA version? The IDW1 version that's just Stakeout but without realizing he doesn't make a good leader of the team and passing it to someone else? (When I say most character reinterpretions are just a pre-existing character with a different name, I'm not kidding.) Maybe you're a Tracks fan like I am and get sad when writers only remember the vain part and not the "huge Earth lover" part. I feel bad for anyone who liked Getaway before James Roberts wrote More Than Meets the Eye.

Fanfiction can sometimes have amazing characterizations that change how you think about a character. Some fanfiction is so disconnected that you're not sure why it's tagged with a character they didn't seem to actually be interested in writing them.

I get liking a character, wanting to see them, and being put out when they're not written like you think they should be... But there does need to be some perspective. Starscream is in over 200 pieces of Transformers media and gets to keep his same basic personality traits throughout. That's worlds better than what many other fans get. Blaster hasn't been in a Transformers show or movie since the 80s and hasn't gotten much material in the comics for a long time. He's gotten a lot of toys in the past few years, but that's it.

little health update under the cut bc it is going to affect my activity levels both writing wise and ooc. mention of heavy subjects so. you don't have to read <3

so as some may remember from my hook blog, i got super sick in late 2021. It carried over into '22 and eventually led to me finally getting a lot of bloodwork, x rays, an echocardiogram .. literally all kinds of things. the only thing anyone could tell me was i was definitely sick and it was probably something 'minor' (i'm using that term so loosely) like a disorder or something that was no big deal. I've gone in for frequent labwork and things keep getting worse. It was actually my psychiatrist (not my gp. what a shock :| ) who looked closer and referred me to a hematologist oncologist. Sadly, the trend in my blood is getting worse. Despite meds, everything that should be going higher is still getting lower and everything that should be getting lower is going way higher. I got a test back yesterday and I more than likely am going to have to have a bone marrow biopsy (which. don't look that up. fuck.). They are thinking i have Primary Polycythemia which is a rare disorder (for my age group) classified as a blood cancer (again. perfect. not escaping the word lmao) since it involves mutated cells inside the bone marrow fucking up and going on the fritz. Thankfully, I have the best oncologist in the world and she's very thorough and though there are outliers .. survival rate if you get treatment is 14-24 years. That's not bad. It's 14-24 years of chemo rounds and blood transfusions and sometimes removing the equivalent of a blood donation every 2-3 days in the worst case scenarios but like .. you're not dead. so. i think that evens out. The unfortunate thing is survival is 1.5-3 years if untreated/treated improperly and I'm at 1.5 years since everything started. I have headaches, blurred vision, exhaustion, aches, bruising, incessant itching, constant nausea and I'm overheated like all the fucking time. poor hunter is always wrapped in blankets because when we turn the heater on it becomes unbearable for me. My blood pressure sucks for the first time ever in my entire life (I've gone from 109/60 to 150/100 this past friday) and when it pounds in my temples, it's hard to write. and to top it all off, my platelets are so damn high thanks to my bone marrow being fucked up and overproducing that I have to constantly worry about a stroke or embolism or something else just as sinister. So, hopefully, the plan is to get this show on the road and alleviate a lot of things and reverse what's been done.

My point in this is that I'm tired. I want to do things that sometimes my body won't let me do. I have moments where the little box in the corner of my mind I've stored everything in opens and I panic a bit. Am I gonna be grumpy sometimes? fuck yes. I'm not magic. Everyone has bad days/bad moods and you add stuff like this and sometimes i just want to punch things. so i ask for patience. both in replies and ooc communication. I want to talk to all of you. I want to hear about everything same as always, but sometimes I just don't have the energy to reply as quickly as I once did. throughout this whole thing, tumblr/writing has sort of been my getaway because its an escape that I can do while house bound .. and there's this little tiny part of my brain that keeps saying if I'm not active on the dash or making people laugh as much, that I'll fade away and be forgotten about. so i'm just asking that people please not let that be the case. i love you all <3

they wouldn’t do things like... SA, animal cruelty or the like. Because I myself am not comfortable writing that. I know these things can be useful as tropes and story driving devices in horror, but it's a slippery slope, and not one I really want to go down.

That’s fair enough. Really not a fan of writers who use graphic exploitative stuff for shock value, sleazy reasons, or as a lazy shortcut. I find that cheap and disrespectful, not to mention triggering. It’s a character driven/plot driven scenario I’ve actually kicked around before on here. A predictable situation has the characters at odds but everyone’s character flaws and tendencies are intensified in this, so with an inciting event (evil gremlin brain!) they start wildly reacting to one another and it goes from bad to worse. A simmering canon tension quickly becomes a Krowspiracy powder keg.

I wish I could tell you a quick summary without spoilers! There is no SA. No animal abuse. No gore. It’s plot heavy, action heavy, everything very dark is basically just implied. But it still is horror. Murder, violence, stalking, creepiness and abduction are still in here. There are still some uncomfortable interactions or ominous situations that might be bordering on too far.

I’d probably drastically change it or do something psychological rather than have an action story if it ever got written. Or most likely I’ll just scrap it. There is a plot hole and someone OOC in a way I’m not sure how to fix.

It was intended to be a clever disturbing canon-compliant thriller, not to make anyone genuinely upset or uncomfortable.

Mhmm. I find such topics... extremely difficult to write (not just for the content matter, but because it is VERY easy to make them as just shock value or a cheap plot device) so I really don't use it in my writing for a number of reasons.

so i finished rebels and i have some Thoughts and Feelings i need to process so they are going here on my blog. (spoilers ahead)

for three seasons i hated ezra bridger. i thought he was such a boring protagonist and poorly written and i was so bummed to find out he was the main character

but THEN

sometime during season 3 my hatred came full circle. i started hating him so much i began to devise interpretations of his character i would not despise.

at first my initial attempt was that he made a great side character and an awful protagonist

i love that everyone loves him and it's completely illogical but the writing seems to be aware of that and how funny it is? kanan, hondo, and maul are all ready to throw down for him immediately

but what really worked was

into the nothingness, apropos nothing, i said aloud, "puppyboy ezra?"

i informed my roommate that i could bear ezra as long as i interpreted him solely as a puppyboy

*sensible chuckle* how ooc, i thought

my roommate was like, uh strange you should say that.......

i thought, haha i bet there's a dog in an episode or something

i proceeded to outline a very long puppyboy ezra fic (which i definitely plan to write; whether or not i post it remains to be seen)

((i ship ezra with a certain character that is so obvious to me but there are only 5 fics on ao3 and i'm devastated. i guess there will just be 5 drabbles and one 60k psychologically fraught modern au in the tag))

and i am simply knocked DEAD to discover that the series ends with GIANT SPACE WOLVES

i'm mostly shocked that rebels seems to be that bizarre mix of amazing but falls steeply short of its own promise, a la sherlock and early supernatural. the stuff that pings my "gotta fix this gotta fix it gotta add porn" lizard brain and i end up writing 100k

actually if i get out of this fandom under 100k i'll be shocked

hellcheer have one scene together in a show i don't even like and i wrote 100k about it in a few months

let’s start with an introduction - my name’s drew, i’m eighteen, and i’ve been roleplaying online for about ten years now. i have a literate writing style and tend to get carried away with how many paragraphs i find myself typing up for each reply, and i’m looking for other writers who are the same way!

i’m a multi-para and novella writer, but i will write out shorter things when the time arises or if two characters are just shooting the shit.

anyways I completely agree with your take on writers can take a character and write them in the way they want! On the flip side I still believe there are more canon ways and more fanon ways to write a character, and writing a character ooc to fit a certain idea is ok! Like I know it‘s kind of one of the biggest compliments to get ,,oh you write xyz so in character“ but at the end of the day, as you said, writers should enjoy to write a character as they like!

I just have a slight problem with it if they kind of..complete overwrite certain traits? And not in a way where I send hate or whatever, just in a way of ok this irks me so I‘m either gonna block or simply scroll, while I do believe we should call out writers if they e.g write a lesbian character as a non-lesbian one or an autistic character as an allistic one if that makes sense!

Then again we should not reduce a character to only one of their traits, idk I just think there should be less..shame about not writing a character 100% canon but also on the other hand acknowledging that there is this fanon version

I do think it's amazing when a writer makes the character seem like he's plucked straight out of the show/movie, by writing him to a complete T because it does allow the reader to feel even more connected to the fic itself.

I'm going to be completely honest here again, and I hope I don't catch any negativity, but as someone who really cannot read autistic traits, most of what's associated with spencer I take as full on personality traits for him without any association. I would actually love it if you shared a bit more about how you see his autistic traits portrayed, or maybe what specifically you associate with. I don't really know how he's been portrayed in my own writing thus far when it comes to those specific traits, I'd love to hear too, what youve noticed.

I think at times it depends a bit on the concept of the idea of the fic itself, if it would be well placed to touch on those traits (I do hope I'm making sense without sounding ignorant or something). like at times, a fic is so fast-paced or incredibly specific, you can't really touch or figure out where the mention of those traits fit.

I absolutely think both should meet in the middle, and there should be a level of understanding when it comes to, like you said, canon and fanon. I find it a little bit entitled at times when I see hate about it, when you take into consideration the amount of spencer fics out there, and how you can find something to satisfy your need/craving, and skip whatever you don't vibe with. I think there's a place for every idea, every fic, every person, and every opinion, but the main thing is to always be polite about it.

depiction  — sephiroth will be canon compliant from before crisis to advent children. the original ffvii game is my default. regarding rebirth / remake, i am not familiar with it other than the massive differences it has compared to the original game therefore i will treat it as canon divergent. if anyone wishes to write within the realm of the remake and with me, threads must be based on amnesiatic / world hopping themes. i do not follow what is depicted in ever crisis. anything which is not depicted throughout all the games, the novels, and the movie will be of my own creation. i will also create some alternate versions/timelines which will place sephiroth in other worlds or have different roles within the ffvii universe.

i’m a grown ass man ( > 20 ) and while i’ve never encountered drama, i’ve seen and heard enough of it that it’s just idiotic. a character’s actions and thoughts are not of the writers. don’t try to dictate what people write. if you have a problem, shut up and move on. this is a hobby.

i’m a multi-para and novella writer, but i will write out shorter things when the time arises or if two characters are just shooting the shit.

GUIDELINES // READ BEFORE INTERACTING!

O1. my name is rose! 31, my pronouns are she/her, and persona 3 is my life blood rn. this first one isn't really a rule, it's moreso an introductory thingy to me the writer. the persona franchise has been my life blood for a super long time and persona 3 reload really lit a fire on my inspiration. honestly i've been away from rp for a super long time. like 5-7 years. so bear with me while i get back into the swing of using tumblr cause it's been that long for me.

O2. ooc does not equal ic and vice versa! i am not my muse so if a post is tagged as ooc that means that's coming from rose, not my muse. the reverse is true. anything you feel towards the character i'm writing should not transfer to me as a person. i've had people make romantic passes at me before based off of my character ( and i don't mean in a flattering way either ) so please keep this in mind. this also means that i do not hold some of the same beliefs as some of my muses do. please keep that in mind.

O3. this blog is not spoiler free! persona 3 is almost as old as i am so i'm gonna assume if you follow me you at least have some understanding of the game/plot. some characters REALLY hard characters to play without spoilers cause they're connected to a very big portion of the game.

O4. do not godmod! if you don't know what this means i'm honestly shocked but i'll lay it out. do not control my character, unless i have given you express permission or it's been plotted out. i chose to write my character and you chose to write yours so do not write out my muse's actions or dialog to control them.

O5. some of these characters have dark themes! i will do my best to tag all triggers. if you need something tagged please let me know. due to the dark themes of persona 3 it's unavoidable. the following themes that will be present are suicide, self harm, and guns ( even though they're not ' really ' guns the symbolism is still there ). i am only stating this so you know what you're getting into as i also want to respect future writing partners boundaries. if you want to interact and there's a theme in particular that bothers you please let me know. unless it completely goes out of character for shinji and some other muses but i'll try not to focus on those themes when we write if you know it's an issue for you.

How you guys got together

Denial. That was the first thing Fu Xuan thought when she found out she was inlove with you. Shes never been inlove with anyone before, due to her work and not being interested in love

But that all changed when Lady Fu Xuan saw you, she instantly got this fuzzy and warm feeling inside of her. Whenever she tried to speak to you, she started to stutter and her cheeks were a light shade of pink:) You were confused and thought Fu Xuan was sick, so without thinking you put the back of your hand and her forehead and asked if she was alright.

Congrats, now you have flustered master diviner! Okay, but jokes aside. Fu Xuan had to excuse herself due how embarrassed she was. After that incident Fu Xuan then realized she was inlove with you<3

After a ton of debating(and you being the oblivious person you are). Fu Xuan decided to confess to you since these feelings have been bothering her and shes getting annoyed of you not picking up the hints(dw she still loves you<33)

When Qinque came running over to you and told you Lady Fu Xuan wanted to see you in her office. You were quite nervous and confused, because you remember that you didn't do anything wrong(hopefully)

When you entered Fu Xuan's office you were instantly greeted with her stern face. When you finally build up the courage to ask why she called you in her office. Instead of an answer you were greeted with a bouquet of your favorite flowers and a shy confession from Fu Xuan

At first you were in complete shock, but after processing what happenend. You instantly took to bouquet and accepted her confession

Affection

Fu Xuan isn't a fan for PDA at all. So don't expect kisses from her, hugs or hand holding.

Shes also a busy woman, but if you initiate the affection she will allow it but only cheek and small hand holding nothing more. Otherwise she'll get embarrassed and you will get a lecture from her(but you find it worth it, bc of her cute little reactions<3)

Fu Xuan prefers to be affectionate in private. She doesn't feel embarrassed and actually sometimes initiates the affection. She really loves giving you nose and forehead kisses<33

Fu Xuan is definitely a gift giving person. Anything she sees that reminds her of you, she will buy it. So she definitely comes home with a few trinkets she bought for you:)

Dates

Fu Xuan actually prefers more peaceful dates, like picnics, watching the sunset, etc!

Even tho she is an elegant person, so sometimes enjoys simple things over complex things<3

At some rare moments, Fu Xuan likes to go star gaze with you while either of you ramble about your day (you're usually the one who rambles)

While you ramble, you don't notice her staring at you with a smitten look on her face. Fu Xuan stopped listening at what you were saying, because she was distracted at how pretty you look in her eyes (if you catch her staring, she will immediately look away with a bright blush on her face!)

Random

Whenever Fu Xuan is stressed, she seeks for your presence since she finds your presence calming and relaxing

She really appreciates it when you do work for her whenever shes overworked^^

Fu Xuan isn't a jealous person. Shes very confident of you guy's relationship. She will only step in if the person doesn't take the hint that you're taken or they just make you uncomfortable

Arguments with her are rare. But when they do happen Fu Xuan won't apologize first even if shes wrong due to her pride and stubbornness.

Fu Xuan has amazing memory, so she will remember your favorite colour, your likes and dislikes. allergies, hobbies, etc<33

Overall Fu Xuan is definitely an amazing lover
