Guilty Gear- Samurai
Was thinking of Baiken the other day so have some Guilty Gear peeps! Surprisingly Anji was the hardest to do not Nagoriyuki somehow. (Also did Chipps Xrd design because I miss the punk look)

Unless I am reading it wrong, why would Happy Chaos be...'afraid' of Baiken? He doesn't look like someone with a lot of lose.
What few people know is, Japanese Heritage survivors have an innate connection to ancient Spiritual powers and by extension the Backyard... This all connects to "Ancient Martial Arts" which I referred to earlier.
Figure, if Nagoriyuki's sword could actually HURT someone like Sol Badguy, and Happy Chaos could replicate that in the form of bullets... imagine how that sort of power could be harnessed against Happy Chaos himself?
It was actually Justice who pointed out how "dangerous" the people of Japanese decent actually are, believe it or not... in fact it was Justice' early encounters with May and Baiken that first revealed this fact back during the Tournament of 2180.
Japanese Bloodlines carry a connection to Spiritual powers which in turn influence Backyard Residents or those who have "had" their bodies transformed by the Backyard (like Happy Chaos himself).
Even Ramlethal, with her massive RATTLE katanas could potentially pose a threat to Happy Chaos... in fact one of his lines is:
"This is why I HATE Katanas!"
Because Katanas were forged with holy ritual methods and blessed by deities, which means they don't simply cut on a physical level but sever beings on a SUPERNATURAL LEVEL.
Even Kum Haehyun's TUNING ability is deeply connected with these spiritual powers that Japanese people have practiced over hundreds if not thousands of years (even Jam Kuradoberi's Kenpou could be considered a ritualistic purification method).
In some capacity this also relates to the OutRage which Slayer carried... a Dagger that could potentially SEVER Gear Cells... in fact Most OutRage Instroment technology is BASED on sealing spiritual powers inside the technology... (e.g. "Fireseal" and "Thunderseal").
So yes, Baiken is actually one of Happy Chaos' WORST matchups, believe it or not... she could generate Ki and use a purified sword strike and literally KILL someone like Happy Chaos on the spot!
This is also why Chipp Zanuff informally referred to Chaos as a "demon"... because of his connection to the Backyard, but also because he could likely be slain like any other demon or spiritual entity.
How VERY fitting that the very tribe of people that Happy Chaos sought to wipe out would turn out to be his ultimate weakness...
Or perhaps it was for that very reason...? I'm sure he doesn't want us to come to any conclusions on THIS TOPIC in particular!

Baiken is very well drawn here imo.
I had a large amount of trouble with the little comments Zappa and the cashier had, but by god if I won't make sure to translate everything up to the sfx.
Cleaned & original comics below the cut.
ID in alt.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ahhh.... I've been swapping between four separate comics today, each of them having a piece of dialogue or text that was impossible to grab. It was so irritating that I don't even feel that satisfied with the final products. Ah well. It happens sometimes.
Nothing interesting in the translation today. Zappa and the cashiers comments in the last panel were difficult to catch. The cashier [ いっ いえ ] was an awkward interjection, I think, so I picked something fitting for that. Zappa... didn't come through completely. Honestly. The little heart and 'but...' let me make a rough guess at what it was supposed to be. Honestly I don't think I'm even satisfied with his thought bubble dialogue. We'll see if I end up changing it before it goes up.
As always, if you know Japanese and retranslate this, get in touch with me and I'll update the translation when I can.

What’s been the most fun and/or challenging part of working on the wiki? Also is there anything that still needs to be worked on that other people can help with?
THE CODE KILLED ME. So the wiki has a template that automagically puts this cool little Wikipedia help thingy next to Japanese text (the "?" on the end) in infoboxes and by command in text using some {{wiggly boys}} code:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we wanted to try to get the Korean stuff on the wiki too because it's the second most officially supported language behind English and there's a bunch of cool exclusive Korean GG stuff no one's ever documented before. But there wasn't a module like this to help out with Korean text like there is for Japanese text.
I put one together based on the Japanese template's code and it was a nightmare. I was fighting for my life in the template trenches. It works though!! I did get it after a while!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mostly.
Shoutout to the Final Fantasy Wiki for the original JP template code and to the Dragon Blaze Wiki for seemingly being the only other English language wiki out there that cares about Korean text lol I don't know anything about Korean writing beyond super basic stuff (like what "hangul" is) so I had to do research into that alongside trying to learn wiki code.
The most fun part was probably getting GG World together, honestly. We couldn't believe that no one had actually transcribed those anywhere online before. Well, there was a file compiled by Lux for Revelator, but we wanted to transcribe these as-presented in the games and we couldn't use Lux's file since the goofy typos and some lore oopsies had been edited haha
Toxic and Elk have hauled ass getting those entries ripped and added. Major shoutout to them. I got the base layouts together and they went to town lol It's so cool seeing it all together now. We even started getting the official languages besides English and Korean added for Strive too.
As for what someone could do to help........ There's.... a lot...... Of the 4,532 image files currently on the wiki, only a very small handful of them were organized into categories when we forked. Here's the page of all the files currently not in a category: https://guiltygear.wiki.gg/wiki/Special:UncategorizedFiles
And all of the image categories they need to be sorted into. Note the subcategories under some of them: https://guiltygear.wiki.gg/wiki/Category:Images
I think I made the correct amount of categories for stuff but there may be one missing here or there. There were a lot and it was hard keeping track of them lol Feel free to holler at me on here or on my talk page over on the wiki if you need something made. I'm solradguy on the wiki.
These major character pages are also either entirely lacking citations or only have maybe 1 or 2 on the entire page (bad!!): Johnny, Chipp, Kliff, Baiken, Venom, Jam, Robo-Ky, Slayer, Sin, Izuna, Dr. Paradigm, Valentine, Bedman?, Answer, Haehyun, Elphelt, Giovanna, Happy Chaos, Asuka R♯
Swapping out the vague "GG World" citations on the wiki with the correct entry would be very helpful too. Like some pages will cite something and it just says "GG World" instead of " 'Axl Low' Xrd Rev2 GG World entry" or whatever relevant entry is needed.
If you know Korean, we also need to have the romaja added for the GG World entries. None of us knows Korean well enough to do that so not a single one has it filled in lol.... We were planning on using Revised Romanization of Korean since it's the official South Korean romanization system but if there's one that's more commonly used/accepted that's cool too (like how Hepburn is used for Japanese more often than the official Kunrei-shiki romanization)

"Rescue!" Translation finished!
Tumblr media
so i got just a liiitle distracted, but ive finally finished a translation of an entire chapter from the Guilty Gear XX Anthology Vol. 2 (Bros Comics) manga!
featuring anji, baiken, chipp, and robo ky (and a tiny bit of faust)!
it's 12 pages long, so ill be putting it under a readmore.
also my cleanup skills aren't the best. these raws were a bit of a pain to work with since the pages are a bit yellowed. hope it's not too bad.
enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i did my very best to make sure my translations were as faithful to the source and the characters' personalities as possible, but it's not perfect... still, im happy that its finished :)
also god translating "japanese" despite knowing the context feels SO racist. cries

I actually enjoy the seething caused by Japanese vidya and such picking a random small deviation from the average Japanese height and slapping it into character stats. Yeah, buddy, keep drawing Baiken as big "mommy dommy", she's still a womanlet.

Guilty Gear Strive Eating Conest Ratings
Sol Badguy: 10/10. Any plate would be demolished. Whether it’s eaten or destroyed physically is best left unsaid.
Ky Kiske: 7/10. A single slice of white bread.
May: 1/10. Would demolish the eating contest, but would be horrifying to witness.
Axl Low: 6/10. Would finish, but only realizes after he finished that he could’ve cheated by pausing time to catch his breath.
Chipp: 3/10. Pauses every ten seconds to say something Japanese and eventually gets beaten up by the other contestants.
Potemkin: 8/10. Politely eats every last bit of the food. Really cleans the plate.
Faust: 4/10. Finishes by sucking up all the food like a vacuum cleaner. The food is later appears in some random desert somewhere in prime condition.
Millia: 0/10. Causes the competition to close down.
Zato: 6/10: Zato himself doesn’t eat, but Eddie demolishes. +6 points for enthusiasm.
Ramlethal: 10/10. Finishes first, didn’t even realize there was a competition.
Leo: 2/10. Finishes second and tries to pass a new law to automatically make him come first in any eating contest he attends. Sore loser.
Nagoriyuki: 7/10. Only attends if onigiri is the food being prepared. If so, he cleans house.
Giovanna: 9/10. Tag-teams with Rei to finish faster. -1 point for unsportsmanlike behavior.
Anji: 2/10. Tried to sell the host a mirror mid-contest.
I-No: Makes lewd remarks about the food and then ascended to godhood in order to get out of paying the loser fee.
Goldlewis: 8/10. Tries his best, but gets a call mid-eating and the EMA steals the rest of his food while he’s distracted.
Jack-O’: 10/10. Slurps up the food like a looney tunes character. Vaguely horrifying, but also pretty funny.
Happy Chaos: 0/10. Ranted about cardboard manufacturing for 5 hours while holding all the attendees hostage. Ate only a single avocado.
Baiken: 8/10. Eats the food. Finishes. Nothing more to say really.
Testament: 7/10. Same issue as Giovanna and Rei, tag-teamed the food, this time with even more people.
Bridget: 10/10. The town is already inside her, she demolishes the competition.
Sin: 5/10. Eats fast, quickly, and… energetically. Left a mess though, so points off for that.
Bedman?: ?/10. Is a bed. Has that weird mouth thing to eat. Scared off the hosts and judges.
Delilah: 2/10. Ate two plates of the food before being carried off in a food coma.
Asuka R#: 5/10. Ate a single plate of food before going on about the way the food was prepared, by the time he was finished, the contest was over.
Johnny: 0/10. Didn’t even eat anything, just flirted with the other contestants.
Elphelt: 7/10. Made an effort to eat all of the food to finish first in order to impress someone, but gets distracted by a couple sitting together in the audience.
A.B.A: 8/10. Feeds it all to Paracelsus due to worrying about him being too thin. Paracelsus tries to do the same to A.B.A.
Slayer: 10/10. Finishes all of his food in a blink in order to spend more time talking to his wife. Disappears in a cloud of bats after recording a haiku.

One (Semi-obscure) Fact About Every Guilty Gear Character
I like trivia. And I like Guilty Gear. Being a series that’s been around for the better part of two decades, it’s only natural there’s some details that are less known about. So I wanted to make a silly little compilation about that, inspired by ‘One Obscure Fact About Every Total Drama Character’ by voiceunderthecovers on Youtube.
As the title suggests, I also specifically did my best to pull out facts that may be less known even to fans of the series, so ideally there’s no ‘Sol is based on Freddie Mercury’-tier stuff here. I tried to find something interesting for everyone!
Characters are listed in order of their first playable games
Missing Link
Sol Badguy- Sol was originally meant to be voiced by actor Koichi Yamadera rather than developer Daisuke Ishiwatari, but given the developer's budget at the time, he would have been too expensive to afford
Ky Kiske- While Ky has been consistently voiced by Takeshi Kusao for the entire series' run in Japanese, he has been given a different voice actor for every dubbed game for both the English and Korean versions. This means that Ky has had seven official voice actors in total, making him among the highest of the cast alongside Testament
May- May is one of only a few characters in the series to have a tattoo, and only one of two where it is not implied or indicated to be magical in some way, alongside Potemkin's barcode
Potemkin- Several of Potemkin's moves across games reference Hinduism. Strive's 'Garuda Impact' is named after a birdlike demigod that acts as a mount for Vishnu, while Xrd SIGN's 'Trishula' is named for a divine trident-like weapon wielded by the god Shiva
Chipp Zanuff- According to prototype and side materials, Chipp is 22 years old as of Missing Link.
Faust- Possibly to go along with his nature of being a doctor with the desire to treat anyone he comes across, Faust's blood type is O, the universal donor
Axl Low- Axl claims the specific date he desired to return to was May 14, 1998. This is the same date that Missing Link was released in Japan
Millia Rage- According to her Xrd SIGN story mode, Millia's favorite flower is the Easter Lily
Zato-1- Based on his abduction dialogue in Strive, Zato believes in aliens
Kliff Undersn- Despite being removed from the Wii version of XX Accent Core, along with Justice, both their names and endings remain in the game's code. They also both contain original art that had never been used up to that point
Testament- The twin demons that Testament summons in Strive are the same singular familiar they possessed in prior games, simply named ‘Succubus,’ possibly split into two entities similarly to Ramlethal's familiar Lucifero
Justice- In Missing Link, Justice was voiced by Arc System employee Takuya Morito, who also voiced Chipp
Baiken- Baiken was initially a difficult character to include in the series, as due to being an amputee, it brought up issues with compliance standards at the time
X
Anji Mito- one of his aliases, Hirasawa, was actually planned to be his name during the start of X's development
Venom- During the winpose where he spins his cue, it is able to interact with any remaining balls that are still set up nearby
Johnny- Johnny is implied to have a close history with Gig, the main antagonist of the DS spinoff game Guilty Gear Dust Strikers
Jam Kuradoberi- In Blazblue, Litchi Faye-Ling's theme 'Oriental Flower' is a remix of her X theme, 'Babel Nose'
Dizzy- In the Guilty Gear XX Burst Encyclopedia, full-bodied sketch concepts exist for her wing entities, Necro and Undine. It is unknown currently if the designs were ever meant to be implemented into the game or if they were simply unused concepts
XX
Bridget- Bridget’s usage of a yo-yo as a weapon was inspired by a world-class yo-yoer that Daisuke Ishiwatari knew during the development of XX
Slayer- In SIGN, Slayer is shown to be able to control his limbs even after being severed
Zappa- In his Accent Core character art, Zappa is drawn with six fingers on his right hand. This has never appeared before or since, and is likely just an error. However, in some circles, six fingered-hands are viewed as spiritually significant
I-no- Her main guitar weapon, 'Marlene,' closely resembles the real-life Starplayer TV model manufactured by German company Duesenberg. One of her design inspirations, Sheena Ringo, owned a similar guitar, which she referred to as 'Dietrich.' Collectively, both may be a reference to German actress Marlene Dietrich
Robo-Ky- In #Reload, Robo-Ky is unique in that he has two separate standard match themes, with a day version and a night version depending on what round is occurring
Overture
Sin Kiske- In all of his playable appearances, Sin has never been depicted wearing socks
Izuna- Despite often being assumed to be a kitsune due to his foxlike ears, it is implied through his story in the Overture Original Material Collection that Izuna is actually a tsukumogami made from a hairpin
Dr. Paradigm- Prior to Strive bringing back several actors from SIGN, Paradigm was the only character to have a consistent dub voice, retaining the same actor in SIGN that he did in Overture
Raven- The portraits used for his non-playable appearance in XX are traced from the illustrations used in the side novel Lightning the Argent
Xrd
Bedman- He shares his voice actor with the character Marth from the Fire Emblem series in both his original Japanese and English dub voices, Hikaru Midorikawa and Yuri Lowenthal respectively
Ramlethal Valentine- Ramlethal is the only Xrd Valentine to not be associated with a holiday
Elphelt Valentine- Elphelt is the only playable female character depicted wearing earrings. There are more playable men in Guilty Gear that wear them than women.
Leo Whitefang- The PS3 console version of Xrd SIGN contains unused prototype art for an alternative version of Leo's character portrait
Jack-O Valentine- Similarly to Elphelt and Ramlethal, Jack-O is mechanically unusual as a character, in her case due to her servant-summoning mechanic. It is often believed that this is a reference to the tower-defense style gameplay of Overture, where the original Valentine appeared.
Kum Haehyun- Haehyun only speaks with her own voice during her outro animation. All of her other dialogue is spoken through her mech
Answer- Possibly as a way of properly proportioning the third lens of his glasses, Answer's model contains a second nose above the first. This was left in place and simply made invisible rather than be removed in the final version
STRIVE
Nagoriyuki- Though he was teased in the very first trailer for Guilty Gear Strive at EVO 2019, he remained unnamed for almost a year until his official trailer was released along with Leo’s in July 2020
Giovanna- Despite it being her debut game, across the entire script of Strive's story mode, Giovanna only has 22 lines of spoken dialogue, totaling 157 words overall. For reference, Sol speaks more than that during his first 10 lines
Goldlewis Dickinson- Along with Bridget, Delilah, and the Valentines, Goldlewis is one of the few characters who canonically has a sibling
Happy Chaos- In Baiken's Strive DLC trailer, an error occurs near the beginning where during a brief pan along the character's name, a trait consistent along all of the Seaon 1 DLC trailers, it erroneously reads as 'Happy Chaos' rather than 'Baiken.' It is unknown how this mistake occurred or made it to the final version, though it was fixed by the next installment, as Testament's trailer lacks this error
Delilah- Her English voice actor, Jessica DiCicco, voiced another adolescent telekinetic, Franke Athens, in the cult classic game Psychonauts
That Man- With his full name being given as Asuka R. Kreutz, he is one of only two characters to be given a middle initial, alongside Bedman

ah well that makes sense. Then Anji giving a titjob

Anji X AMAB! reader
Topic: Anji giving a tit job
A/N: KINDA HAD TO IMPROVISE BUT I HOPE U LIKE IT
Tags: Smut, Sucking, Gay, Praising

-Anji was the type of guy to always seek knowledge about the world and the secrets behind the Gears and their origins but on his free time.he tends to pursue activities that are aligned with his passion for culture and art. Anji enjoys dancing and incorporates traditional Japanese dances into his fighting style so. For a while you watched him practice his dances, it was really elegant and smooth especially the butterflies
-He would always send one glowing butterfly your way and it would land on your hand disappears. ”How’d I do Y/N-san?” he asked. You compliment him saying that you thought he was doing well. You ask for him to continue. You watching but his chest was exposed as always and you always saw it satisfying the way it’s toned.
-Your in a trance as he moved his chest doing his dance. You start to day dream about unexplainable things.“Y/N-san how about that?” “…” “Y/N-san?” he sends another blue butterfly your way. you snap out of it, looking up at him in confusion. He asks if you were okay and if you were thinking about something, which you were.
-He sits by you trying to check your temperature but you said that you were fine. You were hot and heated but was not sick at all. He says that you should rest but you refuse and get closer to him. He lets you rest on his shoulder but instead of resting you go in for a french kiss. Anji was suprised you kissed him like that?! You two fall on too the floor as Anji keeps you in the kiss as your on top.
-You start to grind yourself on him, knowing you want Anji bad. You two pull out of the kiss breathing as Anjis confused of your grinding. You confess what you want to do with him a silence fills the room but he complies.
-”Uhm S-sure he gives a shy look, fanning him self”
-You start to remove your pants, revealing yourself and your growth. Anji getting a blush and a lil tent as well too. You get on top of his chest and you reassure him saying, it was going to be quick and its not going to take long
-You start to rub yourself on his chest having in a slow pace of moving backwards and forwards as Anji continues to fan himself. Anji thought you were hot on top of him rubbing against his body. He had never knew you like his body that much so form now on he’s keeping it out.
-You start to praise his chest and how good it felt to finally rub your cock against them. Anji places his hands on your waist, helping you guide yourself on his body. You move up into his mouth to kinda have him suck for a bit. Anji gives a suprised look as you do so but he complies to you.
-You continue to rub yourself on his chest. It wasn’t enough to release but you had to stop before Baiken comes back to visit again. So you both get yourselves cleaned but you two are definitely gonna continue in bed.

asuka ask game? pick your favorite one
ok so i do enjoy asuka guiltygear but i have been thinking REALLY hard about asuka tekken as of late so we're talking about her today
also this took me WAY too long to post i apologize but it Is out here so yaaaay
favorite thing about them:
ok so legally i have to mention asuka's tekken 8 design because motherfucker WHAT were they thinking with that one. what the fuck was the inspiration. but i love it so much i cannot lie
other than that, i really enjoy her rivalry with lili and how moderately insane that bit has gotten, and i like how they've kept her a character who is a) defensively focused in her gameplay even among the generally aggressive play of t8, and b) has a generally down-to-earth feel to her despite. Everything. happening in tekken
least favorite thing about them:
so i was actually talking to a friend about this recently and she explained my feelings really well, its like. asuka feels like the protagonist of another story that isnt being told.
it feels like she has so much stuff that COULD be a really interesting plot focus for her but it just. hasnt been? like everything between her and feng COULD be so neat but its just been sort of...by the wayside for the past few games in favor of keeping up with the mishimas (new sitcom there btw)
favorite line:
asuka's quotes are fun but most arent super noteworthy unfortunately? its mostly pretty standard fare for fighting game open and win quotes unforch :( i will say though, i do really enjoy this win line in t8 from her:
It's not good to fight all the time. Well, see ya!
bc like. girl. what do you think youre out here doing rn. girl please
(note: i dont speak japanese so i couldnt say anything towards this, but i wonder if asuka speaks with a kansai accent/dialect in game? her being from osaka and all, itd be a cool little addition)
brOTP:
omg actually ive seen stuff between leo and asuka that's been fun before i really enjoy that, iirc theyre not super close in the main canon but i wanna say in the non-canon webcomic theyre friends? i think thats right? either way its a fun concept
OTP:
asulili...uwoagh........
fellas is it gay to buy your rival's dojo and fill it entirely with roses to get their attention? certainly not. certainly.
i do wish we saw some amount more narrative tension between them since most of it has sort of dissolved by t8 but i do think theyre really cute and as mentioned before i really do enjoy their whole bit its awesome
SHOUTOUT ASULILI WEEK BTW I DONT HAVE THE TIME TO PARTICIPATE BUT I AM HYPED ABOUT ITS EXISTENCE
nOTP:
i do not think i have been around long enough to see another pairing for asuka, let alone one i dislike, so i cannot answer this question LMAO
random headcanon:
spun my mental wheel of headcanon topics and it wouldnt stop spinning for like half an hour unfortunately so im just telling you that i think asuka would play baiken or may in strive
unpopular opinion:
i still havent been here long enough to know whats unpopular regarding her :,) although i think in terms of gameplay i think she's cooler than most people believe, though i do agree that her current iteraiton in t8 isnt very strong within the meta unforch :(
song i associate with them:
i can nigh on guarantee that it's because ive been listening to this song while thinking about her really hard recently but absolute zero by natori (banger btw go watch the music video it goes unbelievably hard), i think the lyrics arent entirely unfitting though!!!
favorite picture of them:
i really like this profile art option for her, the posing is fun and the textures on the clothing are really impressive
Tumblr media
and then also i have to mention her preset 3 outfit which i LOVE SO SO MUCH
Tumblr media
(apologies as i cant find a better example pic and do not feel like opening t8 at 2 in the morning on this day)

when do you think Asuka met Happy Chaos? at what point in asuka's life would he have met hc. just really confused on the timeline. was it college or what
Since you ask, I'll do what I can to make a summary:
Prior to 2014, Asuka had been a survivor of the disaster of 1999 that was the Dawn of Revival, alongside Frederick Bulsara and Aria Hale... the three of them were students in University (prior to the fall of Civilization as we knew it), though Asuka's teacher was the one everyone called "The Original" (a.k.a. The Original Sage).
While we DO know Asuka R. Kreutz after some time of his name being revealed, we do NOT know his teacher's real name, so for now we can only refer to him as "The Original" (sometimes known as "The Original Man" in comparison to "That Man" which was Asuka's historical nickname).
Scientific research prior to 2014 delved heavily in to the study of Magic and understanding it, since it was an as-yet untapped energy resource that the world was clamoring to understand.
At the time, the Backyard was mostly considered a heavily contested "Theory": only Asuka's teacher knew the truth since he was the one who first discovered it.
Most who followed The Original would later become his Disciples and members of the massive organization later known as the Sanctus Populi. One of those members was also Asuka's Scientific Rival who later went by the name Chronus (we do not know his past connections with Asuka in full detail).
It was after the Universal Will waged war with humans and undid most technology in society (in 1999) that "The Original" decided to entrust two Mass-Information Seeds to his student, Asuka: The Scales of Juno and the Flame of Corruption.
It is speculated that at this time, the Original Sage was in actual conflict with the Universal Will that he had created and was in battle with it within the Backyard itself.
Meanwhile, Asuka began researching the true nature of the Seeds that his teacher gave him, and by 2014, he created the first set of encoded Gear Cells (with Aria's and Frederick's help of course), and set about to establish guidelines for their use as a new medical technology (their main purpose to serve as a means to protect the Seeds from fulfilling their original functions of generating the World's Absolution: an overlap of the natural world and the Backyard).
As of 2016, however, rogue elements of the United States Military (C.I.A. remnants) sought to take Asuka's Gear Cell Research by force, and Asuka was given no choice but to use Frederick as a scapegoat. He was also trying to protect Aria having forced her in to cryostasis at this time as well.
After the tragic events of 2016, all progress on Gear Cell research was classified, frozen, and halted, and supposedly many researchers involved also went missing (Asuka and Frederick not being the only ones involved).
Much time would pass up to the year 2040, and the U.S. Military would re-open the files on Gear Cell Research with the intent to weaponize the technology.
It is not clear if "The Original" was aware of Asuka's activities at this time, but it is implied that he would be tracking Asuka's movements sometime later.
A fully functional Gear would not exist until the year 2060, and Asuka's attempts to protect Aria eventually fed in to the development of Command Type Gear 01: Justice which came in to existence around the year 2073.
It is in the year 2074 that the Universal Will planted a virus inside Justice' body and forced Asuka to fire the Gamma Ray on Japanese soil in order to eliminate several Anti-Matter Gear Mutations that would have destabilized the world's physical information (i.e. generate Information Flares).
As of this time, we are, again, unclear on how involved "The Original" was in observing the events of Japan's destruction... however it appears as though he was responsible for the destruction and subjugation of Baiken's village prior to these events.
At the time, it seems as though "The Original" had been borrowing several of Asuka's aliases, either through work history, or some other means, and so many activities (and atrocities) he performed during the Crusades can be attributed to Happy Chaos by that time.
In other words, Asuka's Teacher had been transformed by the Universal Will and had been swallowed by it around the same time that the Crusades had started.
However, there is more to this: Humanity had witnessed the tragedy of Japan's destruction firsthand, as well as the revolt of the Gears and this caused a mass-panic around the world that influenced the Backyard itself.
The Backyard could not handle this anomalous mental feedback, and so it sealed most of the errors it obtained within I-No, cutting off part of itself from the world (this in turn sent Axl Low in to the Future as well).
It is speculated that Happy Chaos is partly responsible for what happened to create I-No, but we do not know the full extent of his involvement with her existence... only that he blames himself and sought atonement for what he did to her (though he never openly states this).
Asuka would not be aware of his teacher's activities for quite some time after this, though he would eventually meet I-No in the year 2183 of the first Alternate Timeline.
At that time, Asuka was imprisoned by the Gears, though Justice had been killed in the year 2180 of that timeline (mirroring events that would later occur in the corrected timeline).
I-No corrected the Timeline in the year 2173, changing major events (though again, it is unclear if anything involving Happy Chaos was changed).
Time passed, and Asuka learned of Blackard Company and its Command Gear Project named Solaria.
As of the year 2180, Asuka now had I-No and Raven serving under him, and he had given Jack-O'Valentine a physical body (though she hid her face due to her immature development still in early stages).
Jack-O'Valentine was of course the "backup half" of Justice that Asuka managed to recover from her Memory Core prior to her death and retrieval by the Conclave (the Conclave were serving under Ariels/The Universal Will although they were unaware of this at that time).
It is presumed that Happy Chaos was "sealed" inside Ariels' body at this time, but he was still able to "leave" at various intervals to do as he wished (though we do not know what all he was involved with at this time). It is worth noting that Happy Chaos had been pursuing Nagoriyuki as early as the year 2127, though we do not know how involved Nagoriyuki was with the Crusades events himself.
Happy Chaos later suggested that he had been inside Ariels' prison for 100 years, so most likely he had been "sealed" (at least to her knowledge) as early as 2074 when the Crusades began.
In the year 2192, Axl Low's Time Slipping had reached a "plateau" and he was unable to Time Travel in that year. This was also the year Sol Badguy's Dragon Install fully encroached, turning Sol in to an Anti-Matter Gear (leading to Frederick's quiet demise).
Axl Low made "contact" with a fragment of "The Original Sage's" consciousness (which Happy Chaos retained memories of) and obtained a message to be passed on to Asuka regarding the Conclave.
After obtaining the message from "The Original", Axl Low was caught in a trap within Bedman's Nightmare Theater, forcing I-No to rescue him.
At this time, I-No had created an "Integrated Point" within she had the power to manipulate various stages of the Timeline, though her mission at this time was to monitor the various Valentine creations that the Universal Will was generating based on Asuka's designs.
I-No had (on several occasions) successfully "assassinated" Ramlethal Valentine in various future Timelines beyond the Integrated Point (under Asuka's orders).
However rescuing Axl Low after he "fell in to her net" was a sign that events were beginning to change. I-No confirmed this by having one last fight with the current Timeline's Ramlethal, only to learn that Ramlethal had obtained a sense of self-preservation, which confirmed I-No's suspicions that the Timeline had changed.
Raven, meanwhile was working alongside Asuka to keep an eye on Sol Badguy, though neither of them were fully aware that Happy Chaos was observing them all.
Jack-O' felt misgivings regarding her role to fuse with Justice, due to her developing sense of identity, and so she escaped I-No's custody temporarily.
By this time, Sol had become more aware of Asuka's movements (as was Anji Mito, who still considered himself a friend of Asuka's at this time).
Raven requested Sol's assistance in retrieving Jack-O', but prior to their first meeting, Jack-O' revealed the truth as she saw it to I-No, greatly distressing her.
Jack-O' felt it necessary to prepare I-No, as a contingency plan in case the merge with Justice was a failure, though Raven corrected her, as he felt that I-No didn't deserve to be crudely treated.
I-No partially took her frustrations out on Sol and Axl, but at this time she became keenly aware of where Happy Chaos was being kept, though she kept this knowledge to herself (even despite Raven's attempt at trying to maintain friendship with her).
Asuka, meanwhile, had been tracking the Conclave's movements with the Cradle along with Sol, but ended up becoming Bedman's prisoner... he would be unable to move until Chronus later freed him with the understanding that he would finally reveal the truth to Sol.
Happy Chaos was... as of this time, "physically imprisoned" but still somehow able to observe Raven's and Jack-O's conversations, and he became "inspired" to craft a new identity for himself.
Happy Chaos would not reveal himself to Asuka until the events of the White House, and by that time his only purpose was to serve I-No's goals as well as his own. By that time, he had become Asuka's enemy.
It is speculated that after fulfilling his purpose for I-No, Happy Chaos hid himself inside her Paradox World temporarily so as to go in hiding from authorities.
He did have a final discussion with I-No prior to her "demise", though he seemed to have his eyes set on Nagoriyuki and what remained of Bedman, though even that is uncertain.
It's worth noting, however, that the Original Sage was the "author" of the Tome of Origin, that Asuka swore to protect. And while Happy Chaos "got his use" out of the tome, it's unclear if he will ever decide to use it again.
It seems that Asuka did not have access to the Tome until after the Crusades, as he had asked Raven to retrieve it at one point, as it had been in an undisclosed location prior to Strive's events.
Asuka has since moved his person to a secure base on the Moon, though he created a copy of himself for research purposes as a figurative "extra set of hands".
Asuka still seems bound and determined to undo the past tragic history his teacher created, though we do not know how far he'll manage.
