The Kings men, chapter four

Okay i'm literally shaking posting this, i've been working on it for days i lost all objectivity about it.

Someone requested this scene when I asked for recommendations on an older post, so this is tkm chapter four:

"Andrew sprawled on the couch in the lounge while Kevin went ahead to change out. Neil hesitated, changed his mind and started after Kevin, and changed his mind again. He stood behind the couch, folding his arms across the back of it, and peered down at Andrew. Andrew had one arm folded under his head and the other draped over his eyes to block the light. 'One of these days you might as well practice with us,' Neil said."

This scene is so long I had to cut some parts (including the incredible "You let us run ourselves into the ground and clean up behind us. You play the game like you play life. That's why you're so good at it.").

Not to mention Andrew's height fear, one of my all-time favorite aftg quotes ("When you said you were afraid of heights, you were joking, right?" "Andrew, you can't be. What were you doing on the roof?" "Feeling." -tkm ch.5).

I swap the dialogue a tiny bit just to get the impact, I guess....

At first I was gonna do the "oh no he's hot" thing. But as I draw I think it's more funny if Aid just say it out loud.

I also still love it that he punch Vortex XDDD

Cupping Tojj's cheek isn't easy at first. His first instinct is to flinch away - not that you'd ever hit him but it's muscle memory at this point. It takes a lot of time, patience and gentleness in order to cup his cheek properly. But the day you gently rest your palm against his face, he leans into your touch - simply enjoying the warmth and the love you provide for him even when he can be so cruel sometimes.

You're his home, his safe haven. He won't even mind if your thumb traces the scar on the corner of his mouth. You've kissed it a million times before, yet the texture feels so different against your finger. You can see the emotions flicker up behind his eyes, anger, sadness but it all fades into a softening gaze and the smallest hint of a smile once he realizes that you look at him as if he put the stars in the sky just for you. Toji Fushiguro is hopelessly in love with you and wouldn't want it any other way.

Post canon, back in London, I can absolutely see Edwin and Charles haunting Crystal's mom into being a better parent a la "A Christmas Carol". Edwin tries diplomacy first and just gives her the heads up that she can choose to do better herself, or else his partner will use his own methods.

Two weeks later when she fails to call her daughter, Charles shows up at whatever museum she's trying to set up in and is just like "I heard most of the stuff in British Museums was stolen anyway. It would be a shame if the last person the cameras saw in the same room as this stuff was you." She tries to call his bluff until he demonstrates that his backpack CAN in fact hold every item in the room, and he's ready to mirror hop to Greece with it if she doesn't ask Crystal out to dinner for impromptu girl's night.

Oh? You're busy tonight? Oh look, the Chinese exhibit. He hasn't been to China yet. He could drop off some stolen goods there too.

Ok ok hear me out: it could end in tragedy,, AND have a happy ending. The attempt(s) on Machete’s life force him to flee, he doesn’t even have the chance to find Vasco. Cue gay longing for at least a few years while Machete despairs over the loss of his love, his life, his status. He and Vasco only reunite (again) in their later years. Their relationship is forever flavored with loss and loneliness, but that only means they savor every moment that much more

I also I would like to see them as old men. Vasco would be so droopy :)
