Peter Parker in Gotham Fic Recs
This is a list of fics with Peter Parker in Gotham I like on AO3, if you have any recs for me feel free to send me some!
Updated 11/2/24
Dark Matter by mysterycyclone *Finished*
~The last thing Peter sees is Tony's horrified, heartbroken expression leaning over him. The guilt in his eyes is almost worse than the burning pain that's taking Peter apart piece by piece. The world starts to go dark.~
Green, through and through by another_fucking_robin *Unfinished*
~A spell goes wrong on Titan and Peter Parker ends up in a lazarus machine in Gotham. Every bat is chomping at the bit to adopt the tiny zombie boy, but they're just a tad bit distracted with a new spider-themed vigilante running around.~
Red and Blue are Hero Colors by Cashmire *Unfinished*
~Peter has been feeling really lonely since everyone forgot he existed. So he decides to build a stargate to try and open doorways to other universes, hoping to maybe see the other Peter's again. But things don't quite go according to plan and he ends up in a strange city where Peter never existed and bats watch over the night.~
Should have just Surrendered by Anonymous *Unfinished*
~After Peter gets dusted and loses everything in the War of the Infinity Stones, he believes that this is the final sign that the universe gave him to prove he can't be a hero.
So when he wakes up in a new world, with just his Iron Spider Suit and no clothes on his back he decides it is time to leave the hero life in the past and move on. Throwing his Spider Suit in the trash he goes on his way.~
A Long Way From Home (And No Way Back) by Vivia_wants_boba
*Unfinished*
~“Oh,” the kid says, head turning to look back at the bathroom. “It’s fine. I’ve got it figured out.”
Dick’s face pulls to a pinched expression, shaking his head slowly. “As much as I’d love to believe you, I can’t. That stuff can’t just be emptied down the drain.”
The kid’s own face scrunches this time. “Why not?”~
Butler Spider by Danny_shells *Unfinished*
~Alfred finds himself doing the adopting instead of Bruce, this time of a spider. Can Spider-Man become a first rate butler and keep his secret identity?~

Adventures include: - Peter gets a sugar daddy - Peter gets recruited to a drug ring - Peter cons a crime boss~
Homesick by NotSoSweetHeh *Finished*
~Homesick; experiencing a longing for one's home during a period of absence from it.
Peter told Strange to erase him from everyone’s memory, but the world would forget his existence as well. As a last resort to keep Peter safe, he is sent to another world.~
Into Gotham by Chronicly Ill Girl (lilithzebra) *Finished*
~Peter Parker is not having a good day. He was just trying to buy a sandwich. But now he is stranded in a city that doesn’t exist in his universe, all alone, and he never even got his sandwich.~
Set Naked On Your Kingdom by sassydandelion *Finished*
~At the end of No Way Home, Peter chooses to sacrifice his life in New York to save the multi-verse...by letting Dr. Strange send him to a world where no one has ever heard of Spider-Man. What kind of crazy place is this Gotham City, anyway?~
time flies by (bye) by WHYISEVERYNAMETAKEN *Finished*
~"Maybe," Peter thought, "I can make a life here." Hence the tears and the guilt and the grief, because was Peter allowed to move on? Was he allowed to… to leave it all behind? Leave all the bad things in the past? Peter was "The Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man!" after all, and wasn’t he letting Queens - his people - down if he didn’t fight tooth and nail to get back to them?~
The Ghosts of the Gotham Opera house by Unctrlablyalt (tay_tay19) *Finished*
~In the aftermath of the battle atop the Statue of Liberty, Peter Parker is thrust into a new reality where he's a stranger without an identity. Homeless and displaced in the alleys of Gotham, he must navigate a city overrun by crime to forge a new path.
Meanwhile, Gotham's shaking with the arrival of Red Hood. Fueled by years of grudge holding and a burning desire to settle the score with his old man, he's back in town and ready to cause chaos. But as he grapples with memories and family ties he thought he'd left behind, keeping that vengeance alive gets trickier than he ever imagined.~
Dumpster Diving for Treasure by Clovrtree *Unfinished*
~After waking up from his own demise in an alternate universe, Peter's first course of action is to gather as much information and resources as possible to make his life easier. In doing this, he decides that dumpster diving at local playboy billionaire, Bruce Wayne's, manor would be the best place to find anything useful. Unfortunately for Peter, it's trash day, and a certain butler catches him mid-dive.~
ShutterBug by Iriley *Unfinished*
~Waking up Peter finds him self in a new city and no memory of how he got there. The question is, where is Gotham and how did he get there?
Little does he know that his new photographer job will lead him to making new friend and maybe something more.~
Well... that was unexpected (subject to change) by scrambleddragonegg *Unfinished*
~When Peter’s tear-filled goodbyes were meant to send him back to another Earth, he thought the wizard meant his Earth.
This Earth had a city out of his imagination. A dark city with more smog than New York ever had. A city that crushes spirits before they can even be born. A city home to some of the most extreme villains Peter’s ever seen.~
Where could I go? by know_where_usa *Unfinished*
~When Peter lands in Gotham City, the Joker finds him first.~
Rated T For Traumatised by WibWoby *Unfinished*
~Peter trades in his gallery of trauma for the Bats’ rogue gallery as he adjusts to living in Gotham, losing his entire universe, and living with the ghosts of the Avengers. It’s not a fair trade—Peter is definitely being scammed for the damned shiny Jigglypuff—but at least he is getting out of this alive. Mostly.~
rot with all the burnouts in the cell by magnuschases *Finished*
~In order to be accepted by your coworkers at Wayne Enterprises, you must complete the initiation of a paternity test with a collection of people. But what if one comes back positive?~
Watching Through Fingers by emmacortana *Finished*
~Peter spends his nights out on the streets, a camera wrung around his neck. He takes pictures of Gotham because somebody has to, and dreads the moment he has to return to his bed.
On his way, he sees friends, bats, more than a few super-villains—and oddest of all, Loki, who's redirected his efforts away from "world domination" and into "complete confusion."~
Two Former Hellraisers by emmacortana *Finished*
~When Peter was fourteen, Black Cat goaded Spider-Man into a rooftop cat-and-mouse chase.
Two years, one and a half deaths, and an alternate universe later—nothing has changed. Other than his newly found bat-themed peanut gallery bearing witness to his public humiliation at the hands of one Felicia Hardy.~
Spiderhead by emmacortana *Finished*
~Peter acts like a spider.
The bats have opinions on it.~
Peter the Pizza Guy by Irisen *Unfinished*
~Peter needs money to survive Gotham and picks up a pizza delivery job.~
Existential Crisis Mode by LuciaInTheSky *Unfinished*
~Peter was alone, mid-way through an existential crisis after the Erasure™ and was dreading the upcoming month of May.
Jason was sick of people telling him how he felt. ‘You don’t need us anymore,’ Artemis had told him, as if saying it would make it true. As if Jason needed someone to justify keeping them around. But three weeks back in Gotham and all Jason felt was fucking bored and lonely.~
If Violence is a Virtue ( You Must Be a Saint) by D3ADP00L *Unfinished*
~Peter Parker woke up burning and mournful and angry surrounded by a sky the color of concrete and buildings that towered over his bruised body. A damp pamphlet laid in front of him. "Welcome to Gotham"~

Jennifer Lee on Frozen 3 and 4 in a podcast with Heart ♡︎
Exactly a week ago Heart dropped a podcast with Jennifer Lee discussing Wish, Disney and Frozen 3 and 4.
From 4:04 onwards they start talking about the upcoming Frozen movies. Here's the link or if you can't have a listen, have a read of what she says in response to the questions:
youtube
Heart: “And talking about characters, I have to talk about Frozen because I absolutely love Frozen... But are they coming back and will Elsa find love?”
Jen: “Well they are coming back. Big Iger himself leaked it, that we got so much story that we're working on now, it looks like it's gonna be two films. Cause it's so big where they're going next. And Elsa's got a lot to do, so, and I can't give anything away to say what's gonna happen but Anna as well. And Anna's you know, I feel very connected to her, the ordinary hero, I don't have any magic. But I'm really excited. The amazing thing to me is always how these two sisters as we start looking at their journey, they keep surprising us and telling us, showing us what they're capable of. So I'm definitely excited about where we're going.”
Heart: “So does Elsa find love?”
Jen: “I can't give anything away, I can't tell you anything. All I want to say is that anyone who thinks they've heard anything they are not true, there's no leak, nothing has left our vaulted story room and the only leak is what Bob Iger leaked himself.”
So it's clear that Frozen 3 and 4 will be one story split into two movies like previous franchises have done. That's because the story is so big and they don't want to rush it or cram it into one. This logically speaking is a very clever and wise thing to do. Everyone knows no one can enjoy a good story when it's rushed and not long enough. Disney would be the first to make its own projects, have a part 1 and 2. Marvel has done it before with Avengers Infinity War and Endgame and Sony has done it with its Spider-verse films, and there's Dune and more. I mean we all thought Frozen 2's events were big imagine what else is in store for us!
Jennifer Lee has not confirmed or denied the possibility of Elsa getting a love interest. Really we could say it's because she doesn't want to break the Hearst of those who ship Elsa with someone and those who don't, meaning the answer on whether or not she does or not will be in the movie.
Lee also tells us that Elsa and Anna will have a lot to do this time round which means we're in for a ride as the sisters themselves! Like it's exciting because this next big story is literally unpredictable. Frozen could go anywhere. So much ground is left to be explored. We can guess but I'm almost certain our guesses will be nothing like what they've got planned!
As far as leaks go there have been no leaks on either Frozen 3 or 4. So anything anyone says here or on twitter is not true! With this next story being so big to be split into two they're keeping their story room strictly sealed.
Slowly, Jennifer is keeping us fed with little details as well as subtle ones. Teasing us well but not revealing much, not even who this new director is, yet.

The Marvels (2023)
Not usually reviewing films but here we are. A friend of mine invited me to the cinema to see The Marvels. And so we did, two days ago.
Neither of us expected much. I haven't seen Ms. Marvel. I thought Captain Marvel was 'meh' and a bit bland. Not offensive in any way (if you discount the blatant milatary propaganda) but ultimately Just A Marvel ProductTM. And not even a fun one. At least not fun for me.
And no offence to Teyonah Parris, but her character was definitely the least interesting thing about WandaVision. That's not saying much, seeing as that miniseries was great and one of the best things Marvel did since Infinity War... But it just goes to say that this didn't seem that promising.
The trailer for it looked quite cool though.
My friend Marek, who was bitching to me about how bad Captain Marvel is for years now, invited me to see The Marvels with him in the cinema. Mostly as a joke. Although he did enjoy Ms. Marvel. But still, neither of us expected much.
To our surprise - The Marvels is really good and we both enjoyed ourselves a lot.
It's really, really good.
While I don't think it can stand shoulder to shoulder with stuff like The Suicide Squad, Across the Spider-verse or GotG Vol. 3, I still feel comfortable calling it one of the best superhero movies of this decade so far. It's easily the 2nd best MCU movie since Spider-man: Far From Home, imo. (admittedly, I haven't seen all of them, so take this hot take with a grain of salt... I just really enjoyed The Marvels)
So now I'm gonna do a wee bit of gushing about some of the reasons why it's so good. (spoilers bellow)
Carol, Kamala, and Monica are just really fun to watch? Their interaction is amazing.
Kamala can be a bit cringey but in an authentically teenage way and I really enjoyed that! Her being a huge fan of Captain Marvel never stopped feeling real. Yeah, of course she's into RPF.
Consequences! I love when things in stories have consequences. And this is all built around consequences to the stuff Captain Marvel did. She did them with good intentions... But that didn't necessarily matter. And I love that. It adds a bit of complexity and nuance that's less and less common in superhero movies these days.
Which ties into... Carol not being perfect. She's amazing and powerful but she can't save everyone.
Carol is also... really fun? With a slight nudge she just became a really well-written, interesting protagonist? I love this version of Captain Marvel and I want more!!! Brie Larson finally gets to show off a bit as an actress!
She just really gave me Xena vibes, in the best possible way.
While the villain isn't an all-time great, the actress went for dignity and it payed off. She feels iconic and you understand where she's coming from.
Monica's sacrifice was quite powerful and kinda hit me.
The "training sequence" where Carol, Monica, and Kamala are practicing the switching is perfect. I love it. No notes.
I love that while it's only an indirect continuation of Captain Marvel, it takes the best bits from that film and builds on them. For me, Goose is the best bit of that film - a cat, but make it eldritch and alien, as well as bigger on the inside? Nice, love it. So what do we do with that idea the second time around? MORE CATS!!! I got a bit excited when I saw the kittens in the trailer and they did not disappoint. (Can the next movie be set on their planet? Please?)
But it's not just "there are kittens now" though. THE KITTENS ARE INTEGRAL TO THE PLOT. It's not just there to be there, but it's an important plot point. And it's so fun!
Nick Fury is also fun.
But it's not just taking what worked and expanding on it. This movie got really creative!
For example - the worlds! Especially the Bollywood planet. Great stuff.
That's just some of the reasons to like this film. I'm probably gonna watch it again when it's on Disney+
If you haven't seen it yet, go do that it if it's still playing in a cinema near you. It's definitely worth a watch if you are in the mood for a fun, well-made superhero film.
I'm really looking forward to what Nia DaCosta does next. This film really didn't deserve to underperform and I hope she gets another stab at a big blockbuster like this in the future.

I was tagged by my musical doppleganger @oldefashioned to list my top ten recent(ish) movies, but my memory is absolute shit and what feels like was "just last year" was probably back in 2017. I also can't remember if I've already responded to this one. Thankfully it's not a coffee pot or the house'd probably have burned down by now.
Edit: Thanks to an artwork reblog, I remembered that 1) my sister and I also saw Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and 2) it was released in 2019. We enjoyed the hell out of it, and it's a shame that there likely won't be a sequel.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - I went to see this one with my sister right before the pandemic shut-ins, and we loved the hell out of it. We expected to because it was a Tarantino movie, but both DiCaprio and Pitt were brilliant in it, and were each given the opportunity to stretch their comedic muscles in a way that the '90s and early '00s didn't really allow for because they had to be Hollywood's ideal of "leading men." They're both just dudes in this movie--totally relatable dudes.
Bullet Train - I actually went to see this with my sister right after the pandemic shut-ins, and we thought it was poetic to be bookending the experience with Brad Pitt in another oft-times comical role. The whole thing is a very black comedy, but it's so damn good. The timing is perfect, the acting from everyone is spot-on, and Pitt is only arguably the main character in a brilliant ensemble cast, because he often just sits back and lets everyone else steal the show. Also, there's something about Michael Shannon that draws me into every single thing he's ever been in, so...
John Wick Chapter 4 - also went to see it with my sister, but this was the one that we finally managed to get my brother-in-law to go see as well and thereby pulled him into the John Wick 'verse. Sis and I also flailed around like idiots over the reference to The Warriors, and I'm never going to dismiss a chance to see something with any of the Skarsgards.
Love and Monsters - I put off watching this one for a while because of the marketing for it, actually. I thought it was going to be another movie about a protagonist who was the butt of everyone's joke, and I eventually "went in" prepared to cringe hard and take frequent pause breaks... only to be very pleasantly surprised when this wasn't the case at all.
Red, White, and Royal Blue - again, one that I put off for a bit partly because of aversion to secondhand embarrassment, but also because I'd been in the middle of writing a Sterek fic with an approaching deadline. Still, I was also once again pleasantly surprised.
Joker - yet another one I went to see with my sister. Appropriately twisted, had Joaquin Phoenix, and we both walked away wanting to get our hands on the soundtrack.
Bohemian Rhapsody - I know this one was pre-pandemic, but 2020 was also the year that my back gave out and I've more or less been struggling just to get by ever since, so "recent" is going to have a somewhat warped definition. It wasn't "the perfect biopic," but it was still enjoyable, and my sister and I went to see it with our mom and her best friend, who've both been die-hard Queen fans since they were twelve. We couldn't afford to take Mom to see Queen in-concert, so we took her to see their movie instead.
Deadpool 2 - loved it just as much as the first Deadpool, though I do wish that the movies would just let Vanessa be Copycat already instead of making her a damsel in distress/killing her off every time.
Infinity War - I honestly preferred Civil War and Guardians of the Galaxy, vol. 2, but there were plenty of moments in this movie that either hit hard or hit right.
End Game - I saw it, though I don't remember a lot of it. Not because it was a terrible movie or anything, it just came out less than two weeks after my father passed away, so my sister and I basically went to see it because he didn't get to see the last two movies of the series. Well, before they went ahead with Phase Four, that is. Dad, Sis, and I were all die-hard Captain America: Winter Soldier fans and we'd loved the hell out of Civil War, too, so Dad would've wanted to see how everything resolved. More no pressure whatsoever tags for people who have hopefully been able/willing to see more movies than me in the past few years: @vmures @nerdherderette @ice-mage @dear-massacre @renmackree
#this is a tag game#i have apparently lived beneath a rock for the past five years#this is probably what busted up my back

dunno if this ever went through the first time i sent it (probably not 'cause tumblr wants to act funky sometimes) but i have a few song recs that you could apply to your AUs. first up: infinity by jaymes young. i wanna say your nejinaru time loop au. second: aqua regia by sleep token. I discovered this song thru cult of the lamb fanart and it just lives rent-free in my head. i don't know who this one would apply to, but it's just very good. youth by glass animals. look, i broke my heart thinking about naruto, gaara, and harry, just from the first verse so make of that what you will: boy, when i left you you were young/ I was gone but not my love/You were clearly meant for more/Than a life lost in the war
black mambo by glass animals. i get Orochimaru vibes from this song, just in general.
adore you by harry styles. your sky sickness au. mainly for this part: id walk through fire for you, just let me adore you. i dunno, i guess it's more about the feel of it.
last but not least, 2 artist recs in general, Melanie Martinez. can't pick a fave album since i love them all, and RichaadEB. dude does metal covers of game songs, and i swear 2 of the best ones are You Say Run and One Winged Angel. can't go wrong with those.
Running to write these down

Getting a lot of mixed reports on MOANA 2's casting.
When it was a Disney+ show, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho didn't come back to reprise their roles. They must've gotten good soundalikes... However, they are both apparently "in talks" to come back...
This movie opens in NINE MONTHS... That's gonna be crunch for the animators...
However, the other day, when Disney surprised us all with this announcement... It had appeared that The Rock and Cravalho *were* back? Now they're "in talks"? Which is it?
I hope something worked out... If not, they should really delay this thing to like spring 2025 or something. No crunch, but you know how these corporations go about these things.
It's like how the other day, Universal immediately inked a July 2025 release date for their fourth JURASSIC WORLD movie. The movie has a script, and they apparently got David Leitch to direct. Right away... Then within days, he left the movie, and the release date appears to be in limbo as well.
I dunno, maybe this whole model of "announcing release dates to whet the appetites of shareholders" thing is no longer conducive? I know it's a lot to ask for, but when something's truly ready, THEN announce its release date.
This is why you have, say, the problem with MCU movies being slotted for dates and then pushed back a ton of times. One movie just domino'ing everything backwards. Or BEYOND THE SPIDER-VERSE being set to come out less than a year after ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE only for it to be revealed that it wasn't even in production to begin with, voice work largely hadn't commenced. Then the movie got removed from the release schedule during the Writer and Actor strikes.
I know shareholders and such want to know what to expect for a future fiscal quarter (when most people don't even know what they'll up to in 2 days, lol), but the thing's gotta be ready... In the case of JURASSIC WORLD 4 (or Jurassic Something Movie #7), it sounds like they have a script... But they're not sure how to execute it. So, get the director FIRST... Then schedule the release date. Forget fiscal quarters, just tell shareholders "Oh yeah, we have another JURASSIC WORLD movie coming." But you know, time and money...
This reminds me of when Edgar Wright departed ANT-MAN, a move which sent reverberations throughout the superhero/geek movie kingdom. The film was always aiming for a July 2015 debut, and the abrupt exit right before filming was supposed to commence sent everything into a flurry. Everything just blew up. This was sometime in spring/summer 2014, off the top of my head. Barely a year away from its projected release date. Marvel luckily got Peyton Reed very quickly, filmed the thing, and didn't have to push the movie back. Even though they should've, just to allow more time. It wasn't like the autumn frame was booming with big movies or anything. But they made it, all to keep that mid-July release date.
Or hell, how about when Lucasfilm booted Phil Lord and Chris Miller off of SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY and got Ron Howard to re-film maybe 3/4 of what the duo had already completed... In mid-to-late 2017, while its Memorial Day 2018 release date held... Yeah, uhhhh... That was certainly a unique case, but again... When it's READY, ya know? The date might've made the crew work harder, whereas having it up in the air would've possibly made for a smoother production. I also feel like releasing SOLO so soon after THE LAST JEDI hurt it somewhat, not to mention having it sandwiched between Disney's too massive summer hits that year - AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and INCREDIBLES 2. SOLO probably would've probably fared way better later on in the year, hell, Disney could've experimented with late summer/early fall. But they wouldn't do that.
So to tie this back to MOANA 2, I need the record to be set straight before I can say much. If The Rock and Cravalho have been back for some time and there's some misreporting going on, then I think it could feasibly make the Thanksgiving 2024 frame with no fuss... But if they aren't back? Delay it. If WDAS has to miss a calendar year, that's fine. The animators and conditions all come first. As long as a movie is made and all's well, that's what matters. Not like WDAS hasn't missed a year before. 2006, 2015 and 2017 anyone? 2020 narrowly missed because COVID. In fact, them skipping 2017 and not having two movies to release in 2018 meant that we had to wait 728 days for a new WDAS movie. MOANA came out Thanksgiving 2016, RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET came out Thanksgiving 2018. We were supposed to get a WDAS movie for March in 2018, so the wait wouldn't have been so long, but that didn't happen. The delay and subsequent cancellation of the movie GIGANTIC partially caused that massive gap.
Holiday 2024 for Disney has stuff like THE AMATEUR (a 20th Century release, it's a spy thriller) and that CG LION KING prequel. They'll probably make some room for a Searchlight movie or two as well. Okay, they don't need to have a bona fide blockbuster every quarter (this is assuming that MUFASA doesn't do very well, which is a strong possibility), even if it's what the shareholders demand. STRANGE WORLD and WISH were Thanksgiving-frame releases, and they both bombed. MOANA 2 is guaranteed to be a hit, but if it misses November? So what.
It should be on a clear path before a date is inked. I know that's a radical thing to say, and an unrealistic thing to ask for, buuuut... It'd be nice.

for a very good reason and in order to survive, Pietro became very co-dependent, while Mantis became very independent also in order to survive and for a very good reason :(( is it weird that I find it poetic in a sad way? and omg hahahaha, Pietro wasn't flirting with Mantis so it didn't really go downhill but even so, Mantis Gamora and Nebula aren't the only women in the galaxy, so I can see Pietro becoming a flirt in space.. if his turtle dad duties allow him, lol.
the 3 most important points of the holiday special plot-wise are 1- the Gotg no longer live exclusively in their ships bc they bought knowhere (you might remember it from infinity war, it's the place where Thanos kidnaps Gamora) 2- Mantis is Quill's biological half-sister (not a real spoiler for those who analyze movies a bit more) 3- Mantis can kick ass in a way nobody expects from her so if she lets Pietro protect her she would be.. actually letting him bc my god xD and as bonus we also learn how Peter Quill got his blasters and it's super cute if you've watched the movies :') AND YES KEVIN BACON IS IN IT IT'S SO FUCKING FUNNY and he plays.... Kevin Bacon xDD and Mark Hamill has a small cameo as well if I remember correctly.
{out of breath} Yeah, Pietro became super emotionally co-dependent on Wanda, and in the SotG AU, without her there, he's flailing a bit. It's like the attachment has to go... somewhere. But you can't just hook yourself onto another person, that's not how it works, and it's not like it's a conscious process either. It's kindof like if your pet dies and you run right out and buy two more. The love has to go somewhere. Well with Pietro, whatever he was getting from and giving to Wanda (support, conversation, understanding, companionship with someone who knows what you've been through), he still wants to give and receive, but he can't. Hence the social missteps and oversharing because he's been so wrapped up in Wanda for most of his life that he doesn't know how to form normal friendships or relate to other people on a long-term basis. It's always just been him and Wanda against the world since their parents died.
I feel like Pietro will be a flirt wherever he goes, it's just in his nature, heh. As long as it's superficial and playful, it's fine, but the second it starts to mean more for him, that's where things get really awkward for him. But I don't think we have to worry about that in this verse.
Awwww...the idea of Mantis letting Pietro protect her even though she doesn't need it is a cute one. I can see her very objectively doing that, though, like... her thought process being... this is something he needs and wants and that fulfills him, to be a protector, so I will let him have fun and do it. Boom. Just like that. That simple. XD
Kevin Bacon AND Mark Hamill? This Xmas special just keeps getting better and better, haha. I hope to watch it very soon, now that I've gotten my D.isney Plus account sorted out!

@wearemarvelousmarvels asked: Okay , inquiring minds want to know about what it was like for Anya to meet Natasha and Bucky for the first time. What were Anya's thoughts , feelings , what was the moment she realized that this was her mom and dad like?
A really good question , and this might be a long one so strap in . This is something I have been wanting to write about for a while. I've thought about it so often and I'm glad that we are finally sitting down and getting this out to you.
𝙾𝙺𝙰𝚈 . . . 𝙷𝙴𝚁𝙴 𝚆𝙴 𝙶𝙾 . . .
Anya grew up mostly in 𝙷𝚈𝙳𝚁𝙰'𝚜 possession , though she did spend some time going through the Widow Program. Her training was handed over when she was ten to 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝚆𝙸𝙽𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝚂𝙾𝙻𝙳𝙸𝙴𝚁 and at the time he had simply been her teacher/mentor. They bonded over his training of her , and in most verses there's a special bond they share ( 𝖻𝗎𝗍 𝖻𝗒 𝗇𝗈 𝗆𝖾𝖺𝗇𝗌 𝗂𝗌 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗋𝖾𝗊𝗎𝗂𝗋𝖾𝖽 ) so needless to say she had a pretty good relationship with her dad all things considered.
With Natasha however , she didn't meet her until the events of Infinity War. So she didn't have much time to really react before the blip happened and she was taken along with half of all life.
After those events , and the bringing back of the stones. ( and because i don't accept natasha dying thank you very much ) she was finally able to get to know both of her parents now that they were all finally free. The adjustment period was . . . rocky at best. She mostly just wants to be loved though , and once all the growing pains were out of the way . . . she's the happiest she could ever be. Despite the trauma she's still dealing with.

I think the writers just realized how popular Into the Spider-Verse was, so they thought if they made Wanda have the same motivationn as Kingpin, she'd be just as popular. Of course, they forgot that unlike Wanda, the family Kingpin lost wasn't a figment of his imagination, and therefore, isn't as crazy.
That and Kingpin is already an established villain who any marvel fan entering will know off or if its new fans watching Spiderverse, the film does a pretty good job setting him up as a villain. Like, that sequence with the clicking pen as we see the flashbacks before at the crash, the pen finally breaks??? *chiefs kiss* Send my compliments to the writers and animators, it was sooo good. And like, as much as Miles' Peters death isn't you know, bloody and shit, it's still impactful. We've never seen Peter be killed in a movie or show before....well, outside of Infinity War but....we...we don't talk about Infinity War, but like, its impactful to anyone to see Peter off all heroes be killed and....actually be gone. In MoM??? The deaths are all over the place, and most of them are just stupid. I can't tell if Miss America's moms are dead cause apparently they were only teleported due to....kid America getting scared by a bee.....only in the MCU will you get origins like this. But like, most of the deaths seem to be just MCU going, "SEE WE CAN GET VIOLENT WITH DEATHS-" but....like....its just eh. Avengers 2012 actually made you feel bad when Phil was suddenly killed by Loki. What do I feel when Wanda kills Mr. Fantastic, Black Bolt, Captain Carter and Maria Rambeau are killed? That I would like to scream cause multiverses smartest minds and they revealed their secret weapon for Wanda to kill with ease.....that and Wanda has a racism problem and it being almost disturbing she killed a Maria variant after hurting Monica in Wandavision, who was still mourning her mom in that universe. Though did kind of feel like shit with Xavier's....just because I am a x-men fan, so learning he goes out like that....it makes me want to scream cause the disrespect to Patrick Stewart and his take on Charles Xavier.... And only reason I felt bad for Sara dying is....cause yeah, she was at least established as a character....but of course, the Racist Witch has to throw a tantrum when precious book is destroyed and burn Sara alive, making me wonder if MCU is doing this on purpose with Wanda at this rate.
But yeah, Kingpin at least makes sense....because his family was VERY much real....but Wanda's literally were the result of her playing Barbie but with real life people and she KNOWS they won't real, and yet, she still wants to go and steal another her's kids cause....maybe trying to have Tommy and Billy for real wasn't a option? Like, Wanda in this film makes zero sense for motivations and its really a sign that they just wanted to do villain Wanda without trying.
#multiverse of madness spoilers#mom spoilers#anti mcu#then again if we comparing spiderverse was also a better multiverse movie#as we actually saw the concept be explored and such#versus MoM which is....not exploring it in favor of wanda hunting down a child to kill said child#so she can steal her counterparts kids#like if anything its doctor strange into the body count of wanda maximoff

Rude Boy
Summary: You're practicing a dance routine at Chris' house and you can't get a move down, so he helps you out ;)
Chris Evans x Famous¡BlackReader
(Imagine you're on Beyonce's level of fame. You can sing, rap, dance, act. All that 🥰.)
Warnings: SMUT, cursing, spanking, tiny fluff.
Words: 2.8k
S/N = Stage Name
"Chris pleaseeee" you say, literally on your knees in front of him.
"I don't know if I'm qualified for that. I mean you're S/N." He rubs his face and sighs. You hate when he talks down on himself like that.
You were currently in his living room, begging for him to critic your choreography for your upcoming performance this Sunday night at the Teen Choice Awards. Its nothing different from what you've done before, but you like the feedback. Chris was nominated for 2 awards and also is attending with Scott.
"Stop acting like I'm better than you. Can you please do this for me? Please boo?" You beg him once more, using the nickname you developed for him over the time you worked together.
You met him in the beginning of both you guys' career when you both got casted for Not Another Teen Movie. Then worked together again in Infinity War after the Russo brothers discovered your years old string of tweets begging to be in a Marvel film. You both vowed to never lose touch again after that.
He smiled to himself at the nickname and finally agreed. You clasped your hands together, squealing like a 2 year old. You get off your knees, grimacing at the slight pain on the pads. Grabbing your phone and speaker out your bag, you run to one of his large spaced rooms in his house and hook up your Bluetooth.
You were ready, but hearing his feet shuffling behind you, it was evident he had no intention of speeding up. So you run to him and grab his thick arm and pull him the rest of the way.
"Alright alright I'm comin' " he chuckled at your excitement. He picks up his pace so you don't pull his shoulder out his socket. Finally making it back to the room, you grab a chair for him and make him sit in it.
He sits, getting comfortable and you quickly walk over to your phone and start the music.
Tonight I'ma give it to you harder
Tonight I'ma turn your body out
Relax lemme do it how I wanna
If you got it, I need it and I'ma put it down
You start the dance, lipsyncing the lyrics. You already have great breath control, so you don't have to worry about messing up your vocals.
Buckle up, I'ma give it to you stronger
Hands up we gon' go a lil longer
Tonight I'ma get a lil crazy, get a lil crazy baby
You swirl your ass up in the air, in doggy style position. You look up at Chris and see him looking at your butt. You just smirk and keep going.
Going into your last verse, the nastiest one, the one move you've been struggling with is coming up.
I like when you tell me kiss you there
I like when you tell me move it there
So get it up, time to get it up
You say you want rude, boy, show me whatchu got now
Come here right now
You catch his eyes and wink. He winks back playfully. You guys had flirty exchanges, but they were all joke based. One of the great parts of you guys' relationship.
You lie on your back and prepare to do the move.
Come here rude boy boy can you get it up?
Come here rude boy boy is you big enough?
You attempt the move and mess up for the 50thousandth time. Sitting up on your knees, you bring your hands to your face and groan. Frustrated, you rise and bring the music back to the last verse.
Chris gets up and walks to your side, wrapping his huge bicep around your shoulder. "Hey what's wrong, bean?" He dips his head down to look at your scrunched up face. Like he ain't just watch you fuck up the move.
"I can't get the move right. It's the one part I'm struggling with." You stomp your foot on the brown hardwood floor and fold your arms.
"Well how about you just change it to something you already know" he suggests, but you're not hearing it.
This move is perfect for the song. The move is like you're riding an invisible dick. You have to roll your hips twice and jump back up on your feet, ass in the air, right away. But your rolls are so mechanical and stiff. And you need to do it so you can go into the next move right after.
After you explain this to him, you sit down feeling defeated. He comes over and crouches infront of you, hands on your thighs. You stomach twirls a little. You haven't gotten any in like 2 years, so simple touches you riled up. It's honestly sad.
He scans you from your legs, stops at your lips and up to your eyes. You narrow them at him and wiggle your eyebrows smiling, lowkey wondering why he's checking you out. He smirks and speaks.
"How about I help you with the move?" So many thoughts and images of him riding an imaginary dick on the floor evade your mind and has you giggling like an idiot.
"You gonna get on the floor with me?" You question half jokingly and half serious.
"I have a better idea." Confused, you watch him rub his big hands up your slightly bigger thighs. He reaches your hips and squeezes them, making you squeal because you're ticklish. He stands up and bends down to your level and looks you in your eyes.
"I want you to ride me, Y/N." Your body moving faster than your brain, you get up and walk to the window and stare at it. Hands against the glass you just watch the trees blow in the wind, wide eyed. You hear him laugh behind you and you turn around.
"Chris what do you mean 'ride you'?" You asked the dumb question, knowing exactly what he meant, but you needed to hear it from him. You needed to know exactly what you just heard.
"Honey, you know exactly what I mean. Can we just be honest here? We both are sexually attracted to each other, but push it aside for our friendship" he counters, walking up to you, rubbing your sides again. "Might as well admit it."
You were definitely attracted to him, but him attracted to you? Like that? The flirty jokes you guys shared with each other and the playful touches didn't really mean anything though. Right?
You didn't have time to think about that as you come back to reality and hear him calling your name.
"Y/N? Y/N, you there? You alright?" He grabs your face and checks your eyes. You slap his hand away and look at him. He's so annoying, but so beautiful. Its not fair.
"Maybe we shouldn't do this. I don't want to pressure you into sleeping with me. You're my friend." He backs up and shakes his head. "I'm sorry bean."
You heart pangs a little at his words. You actually wanted to do this. I mean as long as it didn't ruin your friendship, you were cool with it. You grab him back to you and tell him.
"Chris, you're not pressuring me into anything. I want to do it. You're helping me out and plus I trust you with my body. I know you'll respect me." You smile at him and he does the exact same.
"Are you sure because-"
"You have to thumb promise me that this won't mess up our friendship" you cut him off. "I really value that with you." You hold out your thumb, waiting for him to touch it with his. He smiles widely at you, connecting his thumb to yours and kissing his thumb nail, you doing the same.
Everything happened so fast. One minute you're making out straddling his lap and next he's picking you up and heading towards his room. And now here you are, on top of his splayed body on his bed. His tongue is still dancing with yours and his hands grip the hell out of your ass.
You both pull away after sucking out 75% of each other's carbon dioxide.
" Y/N, is this your first time riding?" He looks at you for your answer and you sheepishly nod your head, covering your face out of embarrassment. In your only two relationships, you did the same old things. Missionary and all that. You never really had control or lead so you were nothing less of inexperienced.
He softy pulls your hands from your face and chuckles. "Don't be ashamed, baby. I'm gonna help you okay? It'll be good for the both of us." Giving his famous wink, he adjusts his body a little higher.
"First, let's get these clothes off of you. Is that okay?" You nod eagerly and your heart warms up with how respectful he's being. Consent is so sexy.
He pulls your black t-shirt above your head and tosses it behind you. Observing your beddable torso he slides his hands up your ribcage, around your back and to your bra clip.
"Let's get this off, yeah?" Another eager nod. The entire time, you're just smiling. Because for one, he's being so patient with you and two, you're excited as hell. It's been a long ass time.
After your bra comes off, his hands shoot straight up to massage your boobs. They actually fill his hands and he's most definitely enjoying it. You laugh outloud and lower yourself down so he can slip one on his mouth. He quickly latched on twirled his tongue around the nipple and switches over to the other, doing the same. You throw your head back and grind on his crotch area.
He sees this and teases you about it.
"Is someone ready for their lesson?"
You whine out your words.
"Yesss." He halts his grip on your boobs and looks at you. "Yes what?" You pause and register what he's asking you. He quirks an eyebrow, waiting for your answer. You bite your lip.
"Yes Daddy." He pulls your head down by your neck and kisses you sweetly. "Good girl", he smiles at you proudly. Him praising you only made your panties even more soaked. You shift your body around, removing your tights. Throwing them to the side, you lean down and kiss him again. Only this time, you were the one removing the clothes.
After getting his shirt off and reconnecting your lips, your hands run over his chest and he moans in your mouth. You grin against his lips and reach for his belt. Pulling away, you earn a whine from him too.
Someone's eager, you think smirking to yourself.
Undoing that red belt he literally was in love with and removing his pants, his boner was on full display and you were not disappointed. According to your calculations, based off your sight, he was at least 7 maybe 8 inches. His shaft was visibly thicc and wide. You were in for a treat.
He watches you gawk at his coCk and thrusts up into your hand, making you squeal. He could literally feel the excitement radiate from your body. But he was way more excited than you could imagine.
"You like what you see, pretty girl?" You look back up at him and stick your tongue out like a child. You truly could not stand this adorable puppy man child. His hand rests on the side of your face and his thumb grazes over your cheekbone.
"Take it out for me, baby girl." All these nicknames he was giving you did not help your horny predicament. You reach inside his Calvin Klein's and feel for him. Grabbing his humongous length, you pull it out and pull the boxers down and off his legs.
Absentmindedly, you stroke him, dragging your thumb over the head and collecting the bits of precum sitting. He groans lowly, bucking his hips up into your closed hand.
"Now you're just gonna get up and sink on it slowly, okay? Stop for a second if it hurts" he coaches you. Following his orders, you move up so your core is right on his tip. Slowly you sink on him.
The slight pain does not go unnoticed as he stretches you out. Ignoring it, you push down a little more.
"That's it, sweet girl. You're doing so good for me. So good." He rubs your hips encouragingly, relieving some of the pain. When you finally get him completely inside, you look at your bodies connected, shocked you even got him in so easily.
"When you're ready, just move back and forth. If it gets too much, let me know and I'll help you. Okay, pretty girl?" You let out a soft 'yes', clenching around him. After most of the pain subsides, you move on him. His heaving breathing doesn't slip past you and neither does your tiny whimpers.
"There you go baby. You're learning so fast. Just keep moving, just like that." He throws his head back gritting his teeth. The pleasure is coming in fast and you moan out his name. Hands on his chest, your hips roll against his, cock sliding in and out of you. His hands on under your butt help you move swiftly.
You speed up at his praises and a swat lands on your bottom, leaving a tingling feeling. As if you weren't already fired up, that did it for you. Your pace increases and your skin slaps against his, echoing in the bare room. A yell leaves your mouth as reoccurring ecstacy shoots through your body everytime you slide back down on him.
Chris tries to grip onto you but his hands keep slipping.
"Fuck, Y/N! You're doing so perfect. Ride me just like that. You're such a good girl"
He starts to meet your rhythm, rutting up into you. Now you're screaming and the slaps get louder, his hands coming in contact with your ass more frequent. You feel the coil in your abdomen and you aren't short of letting him know.
"Daddy I'm- Fuck I'm gonna cum, I'm gonna cum!" You balance yourself with your hands on the sides of his head and give it your all one last time.
"Let go baby. Cum for me. Cum all over my cock, sweet girl." You didn't need to be told twice. Your eyes twisted shut and your pussy gripping around him, you cum all over his length. He thrusts a couple more times and shoots his load inside you, filling you up. Both your bodies go limp against each other.
"That was so fucking amazing" you force out, in between breathes. You raise your head to look at his fucked out state. Pride rises in your chest, knowing you did this to him. He looks down at you, giving a dopey smile.
"You were amazing. I would've never guessed this was your first ride. Hopefully it won't be your last, with me of course." Hope is evident in his voice. You take a moment to contemplate, but you already knew your answer.
"I think we could make it happen" you say tapping your fingers on your chin and a huge grin on your face.
"Then it's settled. I think you have this move downpacked." He leans down giving you another kiss. You were in for the ride of your life.
Blinded by your excitement to perform, Sunday night came quick. You were backstage watching the program as you got ready. The movie nominations were up and Chris was nominated for Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Movie Scene Stealer. Hearing his name called for both awards you freak out while your make up artists Stella tries to put on the finishing touches.
Chris honestly deserves every award he is nominated for and every one he isn't. He's so talented, but people never appreciate the actual talent around here. He doesn't win many awards so this was extremely big for him. You were so proud.
You hear Maya Rudolph present you and you get into position.
Throughout the performance you were grinning from ear to ear. Excited for the move Chris helped you perfect and reminiscing on how he helped you perfect it. The part comes up and you absolutely nail it. You look at him in the front row and see his mouth a 'good girl' at you.
When the performance is over, you take in your applause, wink at Chris and head into the back. Moments later, everyone is in the back congratulating you. Chris comes up beside you and smiles.
"You did such a good job, bean." He kisses the side of your forehead. Your bestfriend comes up and asks you how you got the move down. You look up at Chris.
"Well I had a very good teacher. He taught me very well."
Glances did not fail to be thrown across the room and your bestfriend did not fail to bombard you and Chris with questions on the ride home.
Hmmm I actually liked this one 😎

Did you see the new slate of upcoming MCU movies/shows?? Thoughts? Anything you’re excited about?
I was tuned in last weekend when they announced all of the new things coming up. Plenty of thoughts!
A couple of broad stroke things, though...
I don't think there's anything that I'm like -- omg, I need that /now/. The MCU has gotten big enough now that it really does feel like the comic landscape - only movie form. But unlike the comics, most of my favorite characters in the MCU are dead, taking a backseat these days, or are unfortunately tied to Sony and their stupid attempt at a Spidey-verse.
After Endgame happened, I was concerned that the MCU might suffer a bit. Stories are meant to have an endpoint - and Endgame was a natural conclusion of everything that had come before it. But - also like comics - the show is going to go on indefinitely, and also like comics, you're going to have high points and low points. The MCU doesn't seem to know what it wants to be now -- which kind of makes the multiverse aspect of it work, in that it can go all over the place.
That said - I have to wonder if there's just so many things going on now, the center won't hold. It's okay if some of these superheroes aren't connected to everything else that's going on.
A lot of people are concerned about quality, but I mean, the first ten years of the MCU was hit and miss, too. The older movies, though, had the benefit of being much better constructed than the dreck that happened in the early 2000s.
I'm really ready for the return of mutants - the X-Men have always been my favorite. I'm super curious as to how they're going to bring them in. And yes, I'm excited for the X-Men 97 animated series. But I'm really waiting to see all of this live. I'd really love for a really, really good X-Men movie -- something I don't think we've ever really had.
There were a lot of open spots among phase six -- while I think a lot of them will end up being sequels of things already announced (i'm sure Shang Chi 2 will be there), I'm interested to see if they'll bring anyone new in.
I'm curious as to what's going to happen to Spidey -- and just dread what Sony's end of the bargain calls for.
Okay, so out of everything they announced, some quick thoughts...
The Movies
Wakanda Forever - This looks like it's going to be a beautiful film. I think it's going to be very women heavy, and I'm excited about that. It's also going to introduce Namor, and omg, I hope he's as bitchy in the films as he is in the comics. Maybe not, since this film looks as though it'll be serious, but Namor is a great character, and I think it'll be fun to finally see him on screen.
Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantum Realm - This film is going to be bonkers. I'm interested in seeing it, but like all the Ant-Man films, I'm not rushing out to buy tickers.
GOTG 3 - To be honest, I like the Guardians, but I'm not all that attached to them, or their stories. I'm honestly okay that this seems to be the end of the line with them.
The Marvels - I am curious as to where this goes. I've heard very little about this project, and am sort of concerned sometimes with the character because I'm not so sure MCU knows what to do with her.
Blade - I really don't care about vampire hunting, but if the original trio wasn't that bad (and those were not good films) I could appreciate a good version.
Captain America New World Order - I think I'll need to have more info before I have much of an opinion. I do think Sam will be a fine Cap. I'd also like more Bucky!
Thunderbolts - So this is the MCU's version of Suicide Squad. It could be really awesome. Or it could be just too much The Eternals. Curious to see who the characters will be.
Fantastic Four - *sigh* I just don't care about the F4. I just hope it's a good film. Whatever it is.
Avengers Kang Dynasty - I'm calling it now, this film is going to be a lot like Infinity War -- Kang will win at the end of this film.
Avengers Secret Wars - I really can't believe they're going here. (Actually I can) The Secret Wars comics were a gigantic mess. The story was stupid, and the whole point of it was to show a lot of characters beating each other up in order to sell toys. Unless they sell me on a very good story - the Avengers Season Two finale is going to be a mess.
The TV Shows
She Hulk - You know what, the trailers have sold me. I had no interest in it before that. But I am here for it being a comedy, and I am here to see the legal side of the MCU, cause it's going to be nuts.
Secret Invasion - Idk, it's going to be about the skrulls poising as people. I'm not a huge fan of the idea, so we'll see.
Loki S2 - I am looking forward to this! I loved Loki Season 1, and I enjoy time travel stories, so I hope the second season is just as good.
Ironheart - I am super curious, and maybe a little weary, of what they'll do here. Ironheart is from the Iron Man part of the comics universe. I kind of wonder if this will be a bit like Ms. Marvel, and aimed at a younger audience.
Echo - I'm not all that interested in this one, though I did like Kate Bishop in Hawkeye, so I'm happy to see the character back again.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos - I don't fully understand why this is a thing. I think Katherine Hahn will be a delight, but I honestly don't care about the project.
Daredevil - I'm super curious about how this will play out! I did like the Netflix Daredevil, and I think Charlie Cox is great in the role. 18 episodes seems looong though.
Spidey Freshman Year - Tom Holland isn't voicing it, and I have a feeling it's going to be aimed at a younger audience, so I'm not as interested in it as you might expect.
What If S2 - I didn't really like the first season all that much -- it's just too dark. We'll see.

❔
send ❔ and i’ll list a couple muses that i’d like to throw at yours!
you didn't specify any so I shortened it down to your primary muses and then picked 3 just so I'm not doing an infinite list. this doesn't mean I'm only interested in these 3, it just means they're the first ones I could think of at least one muse for.
under read more due to length.
Steve Bucky - I always wanna do things between Steve and Bucky. Anything. I don't care. They're bffs.
Ultron - since he's set post-AoU, I think it'd be interesting to throw them together and see what happens. if it's post-Infinity War we could add in the angst of friends and loved ones dying and not fuckin Ultron. I like angst.
Mattie - she used to be a S.H.I.E.L.D doctor and oblivious HYDRA biologist and started putting evidence regarding HYDRA together before posting it to the Avengers and disappearing to Louisiana and I feel like she'd have spoken to Steve the most out of your muses, possibly to the point of having some amount of loyalty towards him, even if it's only 'I know you're good and not a shithead so you'll fuckin do' which is... Mattie through and through tbh.
Tony Ultron - ... listen... it's Tony and Ultron post-AoU. if you don't put them together then what even is the point?
Wagner - do I know what they could do? no. do I kinda wanna just throw them together anyway, with Wag having magic and Tony having science and Wag absolutely understanding nothing about either? yes. I think it'd be interesting.
Ai - I always imagine she's probably met him in the past due to fundraisers or social events and the like and I think it makes sense for them to have at least met even if they aren't friendly towards each other or anything like that? maybe they could be friends? maybe they hate each other? who the fuck knows? not me.
Loki Bucky - I just think it would be interesting. I genuinely don't have a reason, I just think it'd be fun.
Grayson - Loki meeting Grayson feels like it'd either be really boring or kinda funny because Grayson is immensely trusting to a naive degree and yeah, he has a reason to distrust Loki in the MCU verse because New York but also he wants to see the good in people so badly so like... I don't know how you play Loki but if you ever want an easy manipulation target, here he is. the easiest manipulation target because he refuses to see the bad in most people until they fuck up.
Joker - this is another where I just feel like it'd be fun and probably a constant mind-game between them. Joker's wildly manipulative and if he has an opportunity to fuck with someone, he's going to take it so there's no chance he wouldn't take that opportunity with Loki.
---
honourable mentions that could work for any of them but I didn't know what to say since I set it up like this: Natasha, Jameson, Eleanor, Dick, Bam, Dylan, the goose, Duo.
Peter would also probably work out but since it's not MCU Peter, I'm not sure how well he would work with Tony and Steve, specifically.

Okay so for that shipping ask meme - because I'm in an MCU mood: Starlord/Gamora, Thor/Jane, Wanda/Vision, Loki/Sylvie, Sam/Bucky - and also DenNor, SuFin, FrUk, LatLiech, and LietBel.
Thank you for all of these!! :D
Starmora:
I love this ship so much -sobs- (And you gave me even more feels for them XD)
-
Thor/Jane:
While it's not quite an OTP for me, I do enjoy their dynamic, and I'd read a fic about them if one caught my eye. I just focus on other ships more, XD.
-
Wanda/Vision:
After Infinity War, I really started shipping them, but I never really focused on them until Wandavision. (WHICH RIPPED MY HEART OUT!) I don't think I've read any fics with them as the primary pair, yet, but I definitely would if I saw one with a premise that caught my eye.
-
Loki/Sylvie:
Interesting thing about this one: back when the show was going on, I was more into it than I am now (just because I was not fond of L.okius as a ship, and the S.ylki tag was the only place where it wasn't saturated with it). Now...idk, I just feel indifferent about it? I focus on other ships (especially with Loki) more (like F.rostiron, for example).
-
Sam/Bucky:
I don't really ship them romantically, but I love their friendship, and they are the ultimate BROTP! I adore platonic SamBucky! :D
-
DenNor:
DenNor is one of my fave ships; I love it so much, XD. I'm just really into their dynamic, and there are so many wonderful fics and fanarts for it! (Speaking of which, that reminds me; I definitely want to do a fic rec post for this ship at some point.)
-
SuFin:
Another one of my all-time favorite ships! I love them so much kjshf There are so many amazing fics and art for them! (Also I love the concept of them being Peter's adoptive dads, both in the canon-verse, and in AUs XD). I just love their dynamic!
-
FrUK:
-Insert cliche French laughter here-
I love this ship; I find their rivalry very fun! (The way they banter like an old married couple kinda reminds me of a less villianous/violent K.akuHida [from Naruto XD])
-
LatLiech:
This is such a cute ship! ;w; It's super underrated, though! (Though they do wear matching outfits in that one chibi artwork Hima did, which was adorable!) ...Also I feel like Raivis would be like...the one person Basch wouldn't freak out about, if he found that Liech was interested in him. (Unless, of course, he'd be wary because Ivan still stalks Raivis, and he wouldn't want Lili getting caught up in all that. OH MAN, of course I turn this whole thing angsty, XD)
-
L.ietB.el
Sooo... This is a ship I am on the fence about. I've read some good fics with them in the past, and I like it when Natalya gets character development, but like...it would definitely start out as being unhealthy for Liet. While it's definitely interesting to explore, I much prefer other ships for Liet. (Such as Ame.Liet, Po.Liet, and even Est.Liet).
Also, side note, at first I thought you meant Liet and B.elgium, and I actually filled out one for them before realizing you meant him and Nat XD. That one is to the right of the actual L.ietB.el one (Also...as far as crackships go, it sounds cute, and now I want to see if it exists XD)

a blog post about spider-man movies and no way home (spoilers)
hey guys, frex here. i watched the new spider verse live action adaptation and i gotta say i like what they did minus a few glaring issues that stem from either being an mcu film, production woes, or the burden of living up to the title of being a spider-man film
now, i've never been connected with comic spidey since the beginning. my first exposure was actually the raimi movies. i used to see spider man everywhere, from video games to bags to other forms of merchandise depicting this version of the character. really cool stuff. i truly got into it when us third world countrymen just snatched a bootleg dvd copy that contains the entire trilogy (albeit spider man 2 was a bit broken so i never really saw the origin of octavius before i was older, but it was still a different kinda experience back then. different from the norm. after that, i saw iron man, the avengers, raimi's spider man made me a fan of superhero films back then
now, later on, the first andrew garfield spiderman movie came out, and i thought the poster and the suit looked like peak and thought that it was gonna be a tragic, dark, but engaging movie. not to mention, garfield was a really good actor and after seeing no way home recently especially, you can see that he's put a ton of effort into portraying peter/spider-man. but when i actually went to see the movie, i kinda felt a bit, how do you say that, disappointed?
i did not remember feeling engaged or intrigued at the time and thought that it was overly aggressive and too dark to think of it as fun or enjoyable. maybe i'll revisit it, but it kind of turned me away from any non-raimi spiderman movies for a bit (and unfortunately, until far from home came out)
i also saw tasm2 in a dvd, and let me tell you, i felt confused. sort of alienated, and oddly enough, bored. i didn't feel for gwen's death or the villains introduced, i thought andrew was interesting here, but i also thought that it just ain't what i was familiar with. as of right now, after seeing a bunch of comics, i can say he did a more comic-accurate spidey than tobey, but during 2014, i didn't understand.
eventually, 2016 rolled around, and they took the world by storm by revealing civil war, a captain america film, that featured the avengers. note that i didn't know anyone besides iron man and thor, and even then, i only got bored for anyone besides tony because i was a measly little kiddo. but still it was a hype enough event not only because we are seeing two of the most popular marvel heroes of the last decade fight each other, but because, for the first time in this universe, spider man makes his debut.
i was hyped, but at the same time, skeptical, because i still did not think that they can pull of a spiderman that goes up the standards raimi put as an adaptation of the famous hero. and ofc it didn't, though it shouldn't really matter considering that he debuted in a CAPTAIN AMERICA film first and foremost, but my feelings still remain.
he then gets his standalone movie, directly attributed to at civil war's post-credit scene, and after watching that, i felt a bit unusually confused. i know i saw it some time before infinity war, and the story is simple teen drama stuff, but like many other fans out there, i think they played it a bit far too safe here. while you may acknowledge that stark reprimanding peter as an exception, i feel that it wouldn't generally matter anyway as he would be given the iron spider suit, and multiple times, he'd still get out of situations without consequence, which is strange considering in previous adaptations, the life of peter parker and his balancing act as spider-man is priority one topic.
though i will say that i honestly disagree with the notion that his overreliance on stark is a narrative or writing problem and that i see it more as a necessity for something greater, like a character flaw or something. it also puts a burden on stark as well, e.g. the infamous "i don't feel so good" scene and is interesting to see considering it's his worst fears realized, depicted on screen since the first avengers + iron man 3.
this character flaw is also something i believe that would be eventually explored and solved anyway, an example being "get up spider man" and numerous depictions of independence here and in far from home (which, funnily enough, takes place after tony's death in endgame), but that begs the question, he still uses stark's tech, isn't he still sort of relying on his advantages than the household junk peter in previous iterations had worked with?
not to mention, this is alluded to through the design of his suit; the first homemade one, the night monkey, his ffh suit and more to be discussed in spoiler territory, but still, spider man is inherently just ragged and tattered in comparison to stark, and it really creates the dissonance between his previous iterations and his current percieved state as "Iron Man Jr."
the background itself is also less.. organic too? in the first and second spider-man films, civilians with jobs contribute to assisting spider-man and is never really solved in no way home, but it's something i kinda liked about the raimi films that creates a relatable message in how anyone can do something. the relatability of spidey and many other people is part of why he's popular, and i wish was shown more, but when the mcu at this point tackles dimensions, titans, and more, i don't think it would appease anyone, which is weird, because of something i'll elaborate upon in the actual no way home section
which starts right now, so SPOILERS for those who haven't watched the movie yet

0 (haha gotcha)
i watched far from home from a rip, and i also did so for no way home, even if it took some convincing. not to mention when your country's theaters haven't opened yet, you're bound to find alternatives
we start with ffh's ending, where beck reveals the identity of spider-man and the world starts pushing various allegations on him and his closest associates. even with (lol) murdock's expert defense appeal, the consequences of stardom and the subsequent rejection into MIT causes peter's doubts and anxieties about whether his friends are going to make it anywhere themselves if he's there
the irony in this is that it's a pretty selfish wish by itself considering he sees himself among them rather than just their progress in life, and is further shown when strange was about to cast the spell and he constantly makes exceptions out of the fear that he won't be there for them or that their bonds will be null and void
as soon as that happens, and peter heads out to the MIT (chancellor?) to convince her himself for michelle and ned to be accepted, only to be interrupted by the infamous doc ock.
i really love the choreography in this fight in particular, but idk about the scene in general, offset by being a bit goofy and i felt nothing for some time. hell i'd argue even about ock in general here minus a part in the end
gobby appears, and i will not elaborate (jk) this, in contrast to villains that have godly abilities and powers, he just happens to be an experiment similar to steve rogers and with oscorp technology. would that be a candle against thanos? no. but right now, he stands as an amazingly presented evil with well-done portrayal that i was worried would just be cheap and doesn't consider the character arc that was in the first raimi spider man movie, but no, they actually poured effort into depicting him well and well enough. i didn't like that they cured him in the end, because it kind of objectifies the goblin rather than being norman's actual inner demons, but he was still well-done nonetheless
electro and flint appear, and i gotta say, electro is amazingly (no pun intended) done here. the design i feel is a combination of ps4, comic electro, and whatever mad thunder scientist you can think of with the base character being low tier god, not to mention i feel engaged with him in comparison to how i felt with tasm2. flint on the other hand, i dunno, i thought he didn't do much since his arc was done in spider-man 3, so yeah.
lizard i thought was cool but i didn't find tasm1 memorable enough at the time so maybe i'll revisit that to see the deal with him.
later on, they are gathered to be imprisoned and sent back by strange to restore balance, but spidey had other plans, and out of sympathy. also really liked that it wasn't because he was tricked or anything, and it really contributes to the meaning of decision and responsibility. note that throughout his operation of fixing the villains, his aunt may supported him, despite all else and what would eventually lead to her demise
unfortunately, peter's actions had consequences alright. the movie liked to tease that every problem will just be solved peacefully, but there are just villains that want to do horrid things for the sake of it. goblin brings this to light and shows a twisted take on tobey's gift and curse dichotomy quote. villains seeing their abilities as a blessing and not punishment. really good quotes by him here as well, and i loved the fight where holland just can't seem to knock his face off him
it eventually culminates in him bombing the place and, sure enough, aunt may dying. now see, a lot of interpretations in the internet depict this movie in particular, or the entire homecoming trilogy, as spidey's origin story, and i actually like this idea artistically, since his aunt may here represents the nonexistent uncle ben as she gives the responsibility speech and dying, which traumatizes peter.
the scene is played really well, because for all the distracting quick cuts and the quality of a shit camera, the tone is very intact in how dark it is. weird because in the trailers and most other mcu movies, it constantly cuts to a whedon-style quip, but here, it just lets the moment sink in. the rain and stuff.
even stranger is that it remains consistent even when the moment was cut by ned summoning andrew and tobey. goofy reactions and all, but you gotta know where they left off, most esp andrew coming from gwen's death, and the reason they opened the portal was to find and reassure peter about his decisions, and when doubts rise, the other spideys continue off of may's last words and talk about their uncle bens. really heartfelt and motivational, kinda cried on that one i'll be honest
we then transition into falling action phase when peter and co create antiserums and fight atop the statue of liberty. liked the interactions between the spideys and their respective adversaries, and the choreograhy's great, cgi and vfx not so much (and there seems to be recycled shots from spider man 3 and tasm1, but i guess pandemic just didn't work well for everyone). once more not a fan of how everything unsolvable prior just gets solved and got me worried that the ending will become so predictable (and strange is back too!!! yay!!!)
albeit there is, again, my favorite interaction among them with octavius and raimi peter. it's probably the second thing to appeal to my emotions during the entirety of this movie. ock just came off of mid-sm2 and peter was way after sm3, so it is in a way, heart-wrenching to me as a raimi fan since the beginning in addition to the elfman ost playing in the background, though i wish sandman had a bit more, they barely talk to each other and he's the one who had killed ben in tobey's world. it would be even more poetic cause of what happens next:
they were about to send everyone back, but goblin destroys the cube in time, and strange can't seem to contain it vry easily, with mcu spidey having one of the rawest fights i've seen. again goblin isn't ultron or thanos, but the sheer tension and emotional height just makes this moment frightening and sad. holland peter, for everything osborn had done, most especially to his aunt may, was about to murder him when in a quick reaction, tobey saves him.
this is another really amazing scene cause not only is there no dialogue to convey the scene well, but it also has some really subtle meanings. in sm1, peter didn't want to kill osborn, and his death led to one of his greatest regrets, to himself and to harry, who had dedicated most of his act to revenge over this very incident that eventually led to his death.
second, this is also, once more, pretty poetic. spider man 3 was all about tobey peter learning to forgive sandman over his murder of uncle ben. he had remembered his thirst for revenge and is something he decided to grow from. despite knowing that he'll get stabbed in the back and face the consequences, he still wanted to do what he believed was right, and it's just... man.
but yeah, pete gets stabbed in the back, though goblin gets injected by the antiserum to cure him. i didn't like this tbh cause, again, it objectifies the side of green goblin but i guess there's not much to do atm
after that, peter urges strange to use the spell again to make everyone forget he was spidey so he can live as peter parker, but that had already failed for far too many reasons, then there came a large realization that really shows a very consequential, character defining thought
that the world can't live without spider-man, but it can live without peter parker
that is the true burden of wearing the mask. there are not as many heroes as there are regular people, but heroes still need to be there to protect many others, even if it means the greatest sacrifices
there also happen to be less people who know peter throughout the multiverse than they know spider-man, so that would be a cheaper option anyway, in exchange for a harsh, personal cost
pete shares a final kiss with zendaya prior to that spell activating, and says goodbye to his best friend ned. this is probably the worst thing to happen to him, as he had nothing to lose at this point and that many others should live on without his selfish decisions
the spell is activated and while spider-man still appears in news outlets and whatnot, his identity remains unknown, and unfortunately, as it should be.
pete comes to the shop mj was working in, and upon seeing ned, reintroducing himself as another customer, and was about to get her to remember, he saw the bandage, and mj's response pretty much told him that doing it will just put her in harm's way again. so he proceeds to make a selfless decision, heads to aunt may's grave and see happy, then move into an apartment.
not just any apartment like a condo or a middle class house. just a run-down, deteriorating room. no high tech stuff, just the sewing machine and academic materials (considering he's to take a diploma-equating exam to enter college, and not MIT cause he doesn't have stark relations anymore) he's brought. look familiar? how'd you think other versions of him lived?
in the end, he wears his sewn suit and swings across the city to become the well-known friendly neighborhood spider-man.
also funny that it didn't end with anyone saying "what the fuc-" in the end but i guess it chose to be tonally consistent at this point. wish brock/venom said it though, his entire sequence got me laughing
the suit itself, i wish it wasn't fucking cgi animated cause it looks so bad, and the cinematography wasn't that great. tone down the blue, too. music for the final swing's great though, as for the emblem itself, being tobey/andrew-inspired in addition to the homecoming suits
to conclude this post, i will put my final thoughts in the movie. this has been me discussing my thoughts on the spider-man live action adaptations, notably the famous and infamous ones, and how i've gotten to know them as a kid, in addition to my statement on no way home. is it perfect? no. is it as good as spidey 2? nah. but don't let that bother you, cause this movie is still well-made enough to justify its own existence in addition to celebrating spidey's movie history.
8.9/10, watch it. really.
thanks for listening to my first blog post ever and i hope you all look forward to the next ones. peace out
