This is Yani Mehri! my secondary fantasy high character she's in the same party as Moji. She's a super popular girl who seemingly basks in all the attention she gains. When in reality she looks down on and despises it but due to her mothers teaching believes she has to continue to flirt her way to the top of the social ladder. Her character arc is learning to break away from the toxic ideologies that she was forced to grow up with and find out what she likes and what she thinks instead of going along with what society thinks/what her mother thinks etc

Fun fact about Yani! If she met Riz first then she would've been obsessed with him due to his lack of interest in romance/sex with her which is what attracted Yani to Gorgug in the first place. (Though with gorgug I have the feeling he just didn't notice her attraction but has the capacity to be romantically interested in her. Unlike Riz who wouldn't be interested in her in that way.)

Ofc we know Riz the flirting would probs go over his head, and she wouldn't be use to a 'boy' acting like that thus her chasing him around. Though once he figured it out as you can imagine it'd be bad for Riz's mental health... Like not only does he have Baron haunting his ass claiming to be his romance partner, but now there's this six foot snake woman trying to get with him.

For those not aware; Yani's mom base goal is to make (in her eyes) the perfect humanoid daughter. No father is the same man, as she picks different prospects out at bars. When a child doesn't fit the criteria she abandons them (Eugenics) Yani's not aware she has any other siblings an thinks she's an only child. It felt fitting for her to have a lot of unknown siblings it'd be highly improbable for Yani's mom to have birthed what she considered the 'perfect' child first go around.

1st: Girl Full Snake father was a firblog but mixed with a few reptilian like races farther in the family bloodline so that he has a gene that meshes with Yani's mom's an thus full snake is born

2nd fraternal twins boy snake upper half; girl snake lower half father is a triton def got some fish aspects, maybe the snake aspects can take a nod to more aquatic snakes?

3th twins again.... boy snake upper half & boy snake lower half orc father !!!

4th is when yani is born yippe her father is a human! might have some halfing/elf in there (?) Haven't thought much about him just that.... he's a vry miserable man.

Hey going insane again thinking about the Yani dating gorgug in highschool au (as in the normal story line I have them date when they're both adults mid 20's or late 20's) an how badly that goes- BUT OOOO THERE ARE SO MANY SCENESSS TTHAT ARE SO- cool and good JUST HERE SITTING IN MY HEAD !!!!!!!!!

anyway a song im listening on repeat that would be Yani perspective post Gorgug breaking up with her. She goes a bit mad <3 This deep desperation that would over take her, the attempts to get him to come back. She'd throw away her pride (which is a huge thing as she is very prideful) get on her knees an beg for him to come back.

A girl wrought with such self loathing, believing if she changes something about herself he'll come back. A simple word from him easily able to shatter her, yet she digs her claws in. She can't let go. He was the first, he is the only. She can't let him go what will become of her if she doesn't have him by her side?

Porter would SOOOO try to prey on Yani's anger we know this we know this!!!!! I don't think he'd notice it at first, the fact just how deep of a well of rage that's festering inside of her. He'd definitely look down on her when he first realizes she's a part of the barbarian class doesn't think she belongs here at all. But after a few classes and seeing how she responds to questions of rage his eyes light up (freak) thinking she has so much potential.

He def gave up later just because of how wary Yani is around men. Porter just gives her all the red warning flags especially when he's probs trying to be nice to her and stroke her ego or smth and she's like ah yes he wants something. I don't know what this something is but I know I don't want to be a part of it <3 like wow babes the first fucking time her mom's toxic ideology of men always having ulterior motives works in Yani's favor and keeps her from being groomed (again) (What Yani's mom has done def is grooming)

She ignores his ass which pisses him off. we love that for her!! He probs starts bullying her in class after cuz he's annoyed that she wouldn't follow him then it turns into like a shit show drama that the whole barbarian class watches where a lesson isn't even taught that day it's just a whole hour of Porter and Yani ping pong-ing back and forth with scathing comments. Man he so wants to kill her later but doesn't get the chance.

The puppets head titled, dark souless eyes staring back at her making her skin crawl. She hadn't liked it when Moji and even Teflyn had agreed when told Baron would be joining their party. A sorcerer. It was fine with just her Tamaris and the two nerds, even better that way. Yet now with Baron around the twos voices had seem to have gotten louder, and louder always inviting the creep to their gatherings as if he was actually a new member and not just a burden.

"God will you quit staring," she snapped crossing her arms over her chest.

She doesn't even know how she knew he was staring at her spesifically. It was more of a gut feeling then anything, the way it's eyes seemed to rake across her body. Yet, unlike the stares of lust or envey she was use too there was something... Clinical, to it. She wasn't even a person of notice to this thing. All it ever babbled about was Riz Gukgak this, Riz Gukgak that.

"You do not have a personality of your own Yani Mehri."

She felt the air in her lungs collapse, such simple words flaying her open without mercy. Her lips parted, trembling words lost to her as the heavily accented voice continued to speak. "Did you forget who I am?" He stepped closer, his gate held confidence, a predator that had cornered their prey.

Then the most horrifying thing of all happened.

It smiled.

The face- it's face, seemed to have to contort the sound of porcelain being crushed reached her ears as a wide black maw greeted her.

"Did you forget who I am?" His eye sockets seemed to crinkle around the edges as she felt frozen in fear, the feeling of terror that swelled within her unlike anything from before.

"I was born of lies Mehri. Why would it be strange for me to see yours. It drips from your very pores. One can not be certain a liar such as you will find a happy ending."

He pressed his forehead against her, sending a chill down her spine.

"They may eat you alive."

hey we talkin about the cursed Yani having a crush on Riz timeline stick with me.

She couldn't do any of her normal flirting tactics at all on him. None of it would work and while ofc it's the reason she ends up having a crush on him it's deeply frustrating to her. She doesn't even know how to start a normal conversation because she's use to people coming to her, making the first move and all. Now the shoes on the other foot an to put it bluntly babe is FLOUNDERING!!!

EVEN WORSE IS THE FACT HE'S SUPER SNEAKY!!!!!!!!! so she's out here searching for him and where's riz?? where's riz- in the trash can and she wouldn't know. she wouldn't even THINK to look in there. unless she meets him on his level and talks about stuff he's into. god it'd be the most awkward starter conversation known to man just walking up to him randomly and start talking about his interests as if that's not suspicious at all girl.

it only works on gorgug because it's something to cling onto while he's trying not to make a fool of himself in front of a pretty girl (doesn't always work). Riz though? yeah, yeah 0 shits given. mr. I rip up gorgugs shirt to make myself a lil tunic while throwing my clothes off because they have puke on them an this is happening in daylight in the school parking lot.

Okay getting into the nitty grittty of what would a romantic relationship look like if Yani and Gorgug got together in highschool. I can see it happening post Zelda (sorry mary ann gurl I love u) during the time that Zelda was with Gorgug, Yani would've been bullying her due to being jealous that she was dating Gorgug in the first place. So during that time she'd swoop in to try to get him to notice her once they broke up.

The one thing about Yani is that her romantic pursuit of him is sincere. It's honest, unlike all the other times she's been in a relationship with other boys.

She's been taught by her mother that men are to be used. Use them first, let them think they have power over you and once they are outlived their usefulness discard them and move onto the next man. A never ending cycle until she's 'reached' the top. Not that Yani really knows what the top is, just that her mothers lust for power is all consuming. Do not get me started on Yani's sexuality her mother has manipulated her into thinking being queer isn't real and it's all a play for social relevance. (Yani is bisexual.)

She puts Gorgug on a pedestal, to her he is the only 'good' man. Simply because he hadn't fallen for any of her 'seductions' that he, no matter how rare, has talked to her without lingering sexual gaze. Spoken to her as a person instead of what she was taught to expect from boys. He's awkwardly endearing in her eyes, and she finds she wants that. She'd be pretty possessive of him, and we already know she's obsessed with him. Once they are together she talks about him constantly to her party about how sweet he is, how adorable he is, how much she loves him, just always BRAGGING about this guy.

Yani would gas him up constantly. If you've seen that post "Hey my boyfriend is about to walk in here if you don't clap for him I will kill everyone in this room then myself" that's her basically. Even the mistakes he makes she finds a way to praise him. She looks at him as if he's personally hung up the moon and stars which I feel would put a huge pressure on him, and make his imposter syndrome worse. Yet, I feel he'd be a bit addicted to the praise, you know? not to mention the fact he'd enjoy talking about the barbarian classes with her.

Gorgug really opens her eyes to a lot of things- especially when she starts to get to know him. Kinda makes her realize that men have personalities outside of sex lmao. like whoa a human man is a person?? also queer people exist? it's like a shock to her system being made aware that there is a world outside of the one she has been trapped in.

Anyway they would totally break up later no matter how hard she tried to keep him by her side and she would have a melt down. 👍 would promptly fall into a depressive episode all these paper masks of cool popular chick have melted away to the deeply insecure girl that's inside. She'd toil over ways to get him to come back, the sight of her desperation almost sickening. "What am I without you?"

He has opened so many doors, she has seen his likes, his interests, his loves and projects has learned so much and now she's just left with these memories. Memories of him.

Btw we know Yani had a screaming match with her mom over Gorgug cuz her mom wants him out of the picture and- well Yani doesn't want to give him up. Someone may die. An Yani's mom hopes it's Gorgug while Yani herself might just end up killing her mother 👍

As you can expect in my canon arc for her she learns how shallow her thinking is because she grows a close bond with the members in her party. I think it's deeply important for deep platonic bonds to be explored and shown to be just as important as romantic ones. And it's the bonds with her friends that help her find her way off of this path of destruction.

The path of destruction is literal as she almost gets taken over by a a celestial being due to her pent up anger, confusion, and inadequacies. The goddess in question has no name yet, but I was thinking of basing it off of female rage, betrayal, and uncertainty. All things that Yani embodies thus making her the perfect host in a way.

I got things to say again about Yani hiii hiii <3 She's my favorite sorry Moji I've talked about Yani always having to chase whats in, following the trends an while listening to a song I thought about her first heart break. Where she was just a little girl, the things around her changing in the blink of an eye yet what if there was something that didn't? Let's say something like an animal? A being that she loves more then herself. I didn't think about what type of animal I'd have to sit and think about it. Probably a little dog(?) Tiny dogs that were used as purse dogs and she's probs gifted this tiny little animal suddenly without warning and told to go shopping with it and its baffling yet she also holds the responsibility to take care of said dog. Cuz her mom sure as fuck won't be doing it. Only once the 'trend' ends or is seen negatively...

Yani's mom ends up killing the dog and tells a sobbing Yani to get over it. 'Women don't cry" that if she keeps crying she's going to mess up her face and she needs to look good for the next performance.

I think of this:

An older Yani Mehri, running, and running gasping for breath blood trickling down her leg. The dark of the night threatening to consume her as she fights to stay grounded. She sees the faint flicker of light, then the sound of thunder ringing through the air as if snapping her back to the past. To that moment that's ingrained within her memory, seeing the corpse of someone she loved while her mothers shadow loomed over her. The anger, that anguish that had been bottled up rushing out lashing out. Blood on her hand, unable to claw her way back out of the grave she dug for herself.

I've been seeing a lot of trans gorgug headcanons on my dash recently so ofc i had to do a yani x gorgug thing. I forgot who's it was I just call them lesbian gorgug in my mind cuz their pfp is gorgug wth the lesbian flag behind them lmao... MTF gorgug my beloved... I just love the idea of Yani dressing Gorgug up, helping her how to find the right size clothes, finding the right shade of make up for her skin... Just teaching her everything she knows about fasion and make up!! She'd be truly happy for once to know these things she was forced to learn; thankful to be able to help give Gorgug the gender affirming care she wants/needs. What better use is knowledge that was used to hurt Yani being able to be used for good. To help someone...

List on who gets close to Baron first once they become a part of their party:

Moji & Teflyn were the first two that were vocal about Baron becoming a part of their party much to Yani and Tamaris dismay. Moji and Teflyn are both aro/ace and go through the Riz Gukgak pinning phase before acceptance. So now that they have a third person to talk too in this Riz Gukgak fan club they're both over joyed. Baron likes having other people to talk to especially about Riz his little special interest <3 Other times he wants to strangle them to death for looking at Riz this will not end badly.

for last place it really is a tie, Tamaris has beef with Baron because he can't charm them and he's not use to being able to not have someone like him/think positively of him. While Yani and baron are just fighting like cats and dogs over her insulting him about Riz and Baron picking a fight with her about Gorgug.

This party is so dysfunctional...

If I had to try to really place them I feel that Yani's war with Baron would end first. Especially after her being flayed open like that by Baron. She'd be bit skittish of them at first, but after realizing Baron could see all of her lies it's almost a god send to be able to sit next to someone that see's through you because there's no reason for her to put up the act anymore. So they just sit and talk an Baron listens to Yani's love sick ramblings about Gorgug and Baron talks about Riz. Later down the line I'd feel that Yani would try to play cupid to help Baron (this fails badly) I don't see Baron doing the same but if he did it would also fail badly and gorgug would be left even more confused then before.

Tamaris feels more like the type to hold a grudge longer and considering his little rich boy background (he was Fabian's playmate for a little bit when they where like in the single digits) he's got things to do places to be and he's still offended that Baron doesn't like him.

Yani and baron posting again im so serious he would be raging psychological warfare on this girl. its so awful for her but also you really did just have to look at the creepy doll made of lies and call them pathetic and to 'get over him he doesn't even like you anyway' when you ALSO have been going after a guy who has no clue what so ever that you want him.

Though I think after the psychological warfare they would get close and Yani would have someone for the first time ever listen to her talk about someone she likes. A true and honest thing, for the first time and i think smth like that is beautiful, a girl who has lied her whole life and a doll who is born of lies being the first being she tells the truth too.
