Psaume 51.16

JEALOUS / POSSESSIVE MEME PT 2
@wicxedxcharming said:“ i thought you only had eyes for me ” (From Elayne to Claude)
“You’re overreacting Elayne.” The Church gang leader rolled his eyes. He’d been merely talking to one of the daughters to Madame Medusa, who was telling him that Diamond had quit working for Ursula and had started working at Giavanna Legume’s tavern. He got why she was worried, he wasn’t exactly known for being the most reliable. However it stung that she of all people didn’t trust him. “I was talking to one of my father’s parishioners.”

Wednesday 25th September 1839
[Anne and Ann again go to the Hermitage, meet the very civil curator, and see many outstanding works of art, which they discuss in the evening before the Russian lesson and grammar study. Among the paintings is, finally, the celebrated Pissing Cow. However, surely the main takeaway from today’s entry is: never get into an apoplectic rage against your servants, as it can easily result in, well, an apoplexy.]

Who is this claude man pls spare no detail he looks pretty
Me getting to go off about my new favourite Pretty Man™ character? The dream 😍😍😍 putting this under a readmore cuz it got long and i like to ramble
ok SO Claude is from the game Fire Emblem: 3 Houses. the synopsis on Nintendo's website says, "War is coming to the continent of Fódlan. Here, order is maintained by the Church of Seiros, which hosts the prestigious Officer’s Academy within its headquarters. You are invited to teach one of its three mighty houses, each comprised of students brimming with personality and represented by a royal from one of three territories... Which house, and which path, will you choose?"
So you're this mercenary turned professor (even though ur like 21) at this training academy. The country that you live in has been split into 3 smaller countries that all worship the same religion, and all send their kids to this same academy at the central church. In the game, there's 4 routes you can take that all lead you through the same war, and you get to play for each of the different countries.
Claude is the leader of the 3rd route, the Golden Deer. He's the royal from the newest of the 3 countries, The Alliance. It's the route with the least noble characters (which is a big deal in this world). They're governed by a roundtable of nobles with one guy at the lead. Claude is the son of the leader's prodigal daughter, who ran away some 20 years earlier and hasn't been heard from since. He shows up as the leader's surprise heir, and so everyone is kinda suspicious of him.
To the east of The Alliance is another country, Almyra, and these places Do Not Like Each Other. Claude is actually from Almyra; his mother ran away to marry that king, so he is the prince of both nations. The Almyrians didn't really like him because he was half Fodlan. So he ran away to Fodlan, to find these people wouldn't like him because he's half Almyrian. So he keeps his identity a secret, lies about his backstory, and enrolls in the academy in the hopes of finding some thing that will let him build his own power and strength to achieve his ideals. His end goal is to unite the 3 split countries, and then break down the borders to open them up to good relations with other parts of the world. Basically, he's like "Fodlan has a xenophobia problem, I'm gonna fix it."
His character is very sneaky and coy - he's kind of a trickster. He's always trying to uncover everyone's secrets and stay one step ahead of the game. The other characters call him the Master Tactician. He's the really smart, crafty one. And through the game (there's a timeskip in the middle) he kinda goes from this distrusting, guarded, 3D chess playing guy to the strong, trustworthy leader who loves his friends and learns that we're stronger together and there are things worth fighting for.
You can romance people in the game so OBVIOUSLY I married him; the game kinda encourages you to romance the leader of each route (and Claude is very flirty). His supports with the player character are so sweet and fun. He knows how to play people, but the MC is really hard to read and so he gets really drawn in with trying to figure you out, and ends up saying shit like, "I'd follow you to hell and back".
There's a timeskip in the game, where your character goes into stasis for 5 years because you're injured, and when you wake up, everything is different and war has been raging the whole time. And when you find him, Claude is so much more mature and patient, gentle and kind. He's been keeping the Alliance together as best he can, but everyone is infighting and switching allegiances, and it's been tearing him apart to just try and keep everyone safe and moving. And after you show up, he's like "okay, I think this is our turning point in the war".
He's just. So good T_T I played his route second, and it was so striking to me how different he was from the other characters. He's not caught up on nobility, despite being very royal. He's a lot more laid-back, and treats you like a friend. He calls you "Teach", and then after the time skip "my friend", and I love a character who seems all nice and sunshine but has sharp teeth underneath. When you first meet him, you remark that "his smile doesn't reach his eyes". He's not actually a believer of the main religion, but he has so much devotion for the other things in his life. (And his reaction when he finds out the MC has the goddess in her head is very funny lol).
Okay that's so much information but I love him so much, I love his dynamic with the MC, and I find so much about him so intriguing. Luckily one of Fire Emblem's main gimmicks is the supports you can get between the characters, so there's lot of conversations you can watch of him with all his friends, and it's Very Good. In conclusion. Love Claude Fire Emblem.
#asfhodhfioadfahsiofjas this was so long but god i love him#there's so much to imagine too........#they don't give you the MOST info about his life before he came here so there's lots to daydream about#and the poor kid had to inherit his grandfather's title only like a year into the war#doing everything he can to keep it together#being tired of being so strong#still believing so much in his ideals of peace and togetherness.....#this game has been all I can think about for like a month now#all my daydream material. right here#crykea#asks#Fire Emblem

26, 28, 29! I'm forcing you to choose between Claude and Ignatz with that first one
26 - Who is your overall favorite character? SNAAAKE HOW COULD YOU ;___; this is such a tough one bc I like Claude and Ignatz both for different reasons (like... their personalities are almost completely different from each other bar the keeping secrets part lol)!!
Ghhh, okay, I’ll talk about why I like both of them. I love that Ignatz is allowed to be a character who’s a guy but also shy, kindhearted, soft-spoken, generally just... “soft” - it’s really refreshing to see! I also really like the (unintentional or not) signs he shows of panic disorder ;__; I got really invested in him around when I was starting to go to therapy and discover how to deal with my own panic disorder so I really connected w him when I was going through his supports and stuff! (Edit: Also, I like that he’s pushing against his family’s wishes but also struggling to honor them, I think that’s cool. And that he eventually gets to do his own thing with his family’s blessing! And he’s the prodigal son type which is almost always my favorite character type LOL)
Claude I think is just a rly cool character that gets kinda held back by the writing </3 I’m not exactly good at going in depth into essays on character so I’ll go over more just the little things about him I like. The moon and stars motif!! I love that he’s a stargazer cause that’s one of my favorite things too!! I like how he doubts the church (even when I’m religious myself haha) and I like his thoughts on relying on yourself. On a related note, the line he has with Byleth in their B support that goes "And so, I did. I grew up as independent and self-reliant as my parents always wished for me to be... Lucky me, right?” hits so hard cause like. That's literally me. (I love the voice acting for that line cause you can hear just that little crack in Claude’s facade for a sec :’)) I love that he’s able to be independent and take care of himself, cause that’s a big thing personally about myself that I like. I also like that he has trust issues because me as well lol. It’s very hard for me to start relying on people and it’s also very easy to lose my trust... and I like that even with that he comes to rely on friends (see that big ol Power of Friendship speech at the end of GD).
I guess I’d say I like Claude more, just by basis of him having a more fleshed out character, but Ignatz is also super special to me? Tbh, who I’d say is my fave depends on the day and the mood :’)
28 - What character do you not like at all / hate?
I would fist fight Sylvain behind an Arby’s
29 - What character should have gotten more development?
I really wish Raphael got more character development sjdsfhsdjh he is my sweet himbo friend regardless <3
#love the contrast between the first and second questions LMAO#thanks for letting me gush snake#asks#snakeshipping

Tagged by @reyescarlos, thanks!
What is your name?
AC (Annie-Claude)
What are your fandoms?
Currently 911 Lone Star, Prodigal Son, 911 and I’m still keeping Limitless alive
Where do you post your fanfiction?
AO3, most of the time I link it here too
Going by kudos, what is your most popular one-shot?
In My Heart (911, Buddie)
Going by kudos, what is your most popular multi-chapter?
Unleashed (Prodigal Son)
What is your personal favourite story, out of your current content?
Unleashed. I've said so many times, but nothing beats it.
What work were you most nervous to post?
Off Balance (911 Lone Star, Tarlos) and Move Forward Together (Prodigal Son, Malcolm/Vijay and Brightwell) . There’s been others, but in recent times those are the first that come to mind. The first cause I was afraid I couldn’t quite get it right, and I felt unsure about it and I still do, and when it stopped getting interacted with halfway through it only heightened that, anyway i’m going back to pretending it doesn’t exist. The second I think the tags (and the awesome comment i got on it) pretty much give you every reason I had to be nervous about it.
Is there a method to how you title your work?
Panic when ao3 asks me for a title is my usual method. I usually try to find something that fits with the theme of the fic or what happens in it.
Do you outline your works or just wing it?
I outline multi chapters, I wing one shots. Though a lot of the time I have a few notes and a basic idea of what I want to do for one shots, but also often I just figure out where this is going as I go.
Are you excited about any of your up-coming works?
I’m pretty excited, but also nervous, about the one I’ll be posting on Sunday. I’m also pretty excited about my Carlos Week fic, I haven’t started working on it yet, but it’s an angsty idea I thought of while writing part 2 of thief!Carlos, but the fic was getting long and I was running out of time, so I decided to make it another fic.

Hm @unknownbabe1
I made two lists on here 5(YIKES) years ago of my favorite films.
The first list was of “films that have had the most impact on me for one reason or another,” and the second one was of highlights that I love, but couldn’t fit on the first list.
First List:
Larisa Shepitko’s The Ascent
Jonathan Caoquette’s Tarnation
Richard Linklater’s Waking Life
Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life
Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Dreamers
Andrei Tarkovsky’s Solaris
Louis Malle’s Au revoir les enfants
Godfrey Reggio’s Koyaanisqatsi
Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave
Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 A Space Odyssey
Second List:
Lindsay Anderson’s If…
Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
Gordon Douglas’ Them!
Chuck Jones’ The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower Mathematics
Albert Lamorisse’s The Red Balloon
Stan Brakhage’s The Dante Quartet
Robin Hardy’s The Wicker Man
Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom
Nobuhiko Obayashi’s House
Current Reflections:
That first list still stands. Those are all films that made me go “oh you can do that,” or I just deeply connected with. I don’t like The Dreamers like that, but it was a major shock to the system to me almost 20 years ago. I feel like I would take 2001 off and replace it with a Bergman film. I like 2001, but it’s more an imposing spectacle than anything else. I prefer films that deal with people’s lives. I think that’s why I like Malick. He makes simply living a grand statement. I held myself to 10 for that first list, but The Dante Quartet belongs on it. In fact, instead of just choosing one Brakhage film, I’d just list his name.
I would also add to it:
Alan Clarke‘s Elephant
Hiroshi Teshigahara’s Woman in the Dunes
Mariposa Film Group’s Word Is Out - Stories of Some of Our Lives
Louis Malle’s My Dinner with André
Claude Lanzmann’s Shoah
Barry Jenkins‘ Moonlight
Céline Sciamma’s Portrait of a Lady on Fire
Alfonso Cuarón‘s Children of Men
Jan Němec’s A Report on the Party and Guests
Richard Ayoade’s The Double
Jennie Livingston‘s Paris Is Burning
Robert Wise‘s The Haunting
Mathieu Kassovitz‘s La haine
François Truffaut’s The 400 Blows
Rémy Belvaux, André Bonzel and Benoît Poelvoorde’s Man Bites Dog
Jonathan Glazer’s Under The Skin
Allan King’s Dying at Grace
Brad Bird‘s The Incredibles
Gregg Araki’s Mysterious Skin
Samuel Fuller's The Steel Helmet
Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now
Chantal Akerman’s Jeanne Dielman, 23, quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles
Jack Clayton‘s The Pumpkin Eater
Wim Wenders and Juliano Ribeiro Salgado‘s The Salt of the Earth
Jean Vigo’s Zéro de conduite
Hal Ashby’s Harold and Maude
Bob Fosse’s All That Jazz
Michelangelo Antonioni‘s Blow-Up
Ridley Scott’s Alien
Mikhail Kalatozov‘s Letter Never Sent
Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later
Sidney Lumet’s Network
Fred M. Wilcox‘s Forbidden Planet
Evald Schorm‘s Return of the Prodigal Son
Special shout out to the Dardenne brothers, Bergman, Cassavetes, Pasolini, Kurosawa, Soderbergh, Cronenberg, Oshima, Kiarostami, Ozu, Farhadi, Godzilla films, ‘50s Sci-fi and Ray Harryhausen for existing.

@fatesdesign said: "If you touch a single hair on her head, yours will be on the ground next." (Claude & Daegan)
Claude gave the familiar a deadpan look as he looked up from his drink. “I think you have the wrong person when it comes to tormenting that sister of yours. Might I recommend talking to either the Cheshire Cat or Edwin Hyde?” Honestly, Claude had bigger fish to fry than a familiar, literally. He had Harriet Hook’s growing influence to contend with, along with VIveca Heart. Now as irritating as Raven and Cain were, they were male, so Claude didn’t get crap from his father over them. No. Just Hook, Heart, the Legume girl and the Alpha pack leader deep in the dark forest.
