i like to think that the nickname “rabbit” is justified again when, one night at 2am Andrew walks into the kitchen to get a glass of water and finds Neil standing at the counter with a single piece of something (a plain slice of bread/ a piece of celery/ an entire block of cheese) in his hands and he’s taking very small bites of it while he stares at nothing with a blank stare. eyes wide open not even blinking. completely zoned out and just munching on it very slowly. and it reminds Andrew of when a rabbit starts eating a very long dandelion and it just munches away at it with a blank stare until the entire dandelion is gone.

he asks Neil if he’s okay and that snaps Neil out of it and is just like “oh yeah i was just hungry… also i was thinking about afternoon practice” and then he tells Andrew about the new drills he came up with that he wants the team to try out next practice
