Title: Let It Go Prompt: 021.Solve from my prompt tables. Who: Claudia Daviau & Beth Heydari. Project: The Palms. Notes: Claudia is mourning the loss of her big brother, because it's his birthday. But she's doing in a self-destructive way. Beth's trying to get her to let go of the past. However, Claudia can't and refuses to. Trigger Warning: alcohol, depression, I guess Beth and Cloud are both being a little toxic too. Words: 580

Tired isn't the best way to describe how she feels — exhausted might be the better choice of wording. She can't focus today. Can't think about anything other than the main ghost of her past.

It's her brother's birthday, and even though she sees his ghost regularly, she's still unaware of what happened to him and that leads her to drink today. Not drink enough to pass out, but drink enough that she lays on her couch, pillow clinging to her stomach, while she thinks about how she could have saved him.

It's a bit pathetic, in her mind.

Or at least, she'd call herself pathetic when she looked back on this year's birthday. Easily, since she knows she could have celebrated — should have watched all of his favorite films or ate his favorite candies. But no, she makes it about her own grief, which is why she finds it all so pathetic.

She was supposed to go out tonight to find information for her next story, after all. Yet she finds herself with a bottle to her lips, thinking about how much of a failure she is for not saving the person she loves most. Even though, later on, she'd be told by several people that it wasn't her responsibility, and it was obvious she had died, too — and just came back to life, as always, and just didn't remember what had happened to him or her, due to the trauma.

"You wanna know what your problem is?" she hears after staring up at the ceiling for a long period of time, the white noise of the television static lost on her before heard the voice speaking. She doesn't speak though. Doesn't want to.

It's Beth, her wife, and she knows she's upset because she's lecturing her right away. And even though Claudia doesn't speak back to her or make eye-contact, Beth takes the bottle and the pillow away from her and props her up into a sitting position, which causes Claudia to dry heave.

Claudia stares at Beth for a little while, the lids of her eyes half-way closing. Beth looks at her with sad brown eyes, and then there's anger there. No fury. Which in turns makes Claudia sigh. "What's my problem, Beth?" Claudia finally asks, too defeated to add a little zest into her words.

"You want to find answers for something that will gut you more. Something that will cause you more pain that you can imagine. Yet, you search and search. It's like you like the pain." Beth has her arms crossed as she stands, looking at Claudia who just crumbles over from her wife's words, her hand resting on her forehead, dramatically.

"I don't like the pain, I just want to know what happened to him — what happened to me. Don't I deserve that?" Claudia questions, an abundance of tears streaming down her face.

Beth just sighs. "You think that now, but when you have the answers, you're just going to be more angry. That's how it is with you. You have so much rage, due to all this and you can't let it go. Let. It. Go." Beth adds, clapping with each of the last three words, her own tears falling down her cheeks.

Claudia's still crying angry tears, but instead of telling Beth the truth — that she can't let it go, that she won't let it go until she gets her answers — she lies. "Okay, for you — I'll let it go for you."

But the truth is, the ache is still there and she's still angry, when Beth kisses her and caresses her cheek. "Thank you. It's for your own good," she says.

And Claudia nods, even though she wants to grieve some more, even though she's just as angry as Beth said, if not more.

i still stand by this. she has to be in a particularly upset or angry mood to be okay with pain. otherwise it's an annoyance she'd rather not deal with. so, she avoids being hit or injured as best she can and tries to dodge attacks. but again, in particular moods, she's perfectly fine with intense injuries to scare the shit out of people. but again, she avoids injury otherwise.

also , more claudia dardashti thoughts because i'm thinking about her and the palms today. but, i feel like when claudia ‘dies’ she doesn’t come back ‘wrong’. she comes back kind of 'tipsy' or 'drunk' the first few minutes to an hour. she is mostly healed though - most of the time - it depends on the injury and how serious it is. and she has a high pain tolerance. however, she doesn't like pain all that much. so she doesn't make a point to get injured.

Finally done with my version of The Universe's design!

For both botw and totk, I've had this odd habit overall where once I've done every single mission possible and basically completed the game, I leave the kork seed puzzles alone beyond the minimal needed so I had an excuse to continue playing. By the end I've ended up slowlt finding every puzzle bit by bit to extend more time on the game and feeding link good food/getting him to rest regularly between each discoverable one and entirely traveling to them on foot to re-explore the games map again for nostalgias sake. I always felt so horrible how exhausted he possibly felt constantly functioning at 100% at all times. :( the korok puzzles at this point is just a reason for me to spoil the absolute heck out of him. I always couldn't help but wonder if he'd get joy out of the extended time or not. The thought overall always made me giggle.

(Btw you're an absolutely incredible creator and writer, and the time and effort you put into your works and community is awe inspiring. I hope you're staying safe and well especially! Thank you for the time you give us <3)

Honestly that is a really good way to keep on playing (especially since neither of them have a new game+ or hero's mode like the rest of the games) I think he'd really appreciate the fact that you don't want to fully complete the game in order to spend more time with him!!! You like being around him and want to do it more than what the game really intentionally allows

I think that both of those links are more than a bit messed up from their stint in the sheika juice (hence why they can go so long without sleep) but like the others they more than appreciate a good nap there's also the whole thing of them not being 'real' and not needing anything a living person would but ehhhh what difference does that make The fact that you're treating them like they need to eat and sleep is so !!!!!! You make him feel real, and you keep coming back and keeping him out of the void!!!

theres nothing else he could really ask for that would be possible to give you, well besides your touch, but it's not like he'll be able to get that any time soon.

Late night short thought #121:

You are a huge bookworm and you have a private collection of random books in all genres in the house. Levi had built you 2 bookshelves in different designs because you couldn't decide on one. He even allowed you to pick a few carpets for the reading corner he made for you. And, of course, Levi showers you with love by buying you books.

Levi would write love notes for you on the first page of each book he bought for you. He would ensure yours and his name were on the book. And your favourite love letter from him is:
