Names are so wonderful. Humans have been using the same ones for so long.
And then we have like our names and our Names and our nicknames.
We have names given to us when we are born, and that is our name.
We have the name we choose to go by as we become ourselves and that is our Name
Nicknames are gifted by others to show care about us.
Others have our names when we are gone and others have them while we are here but your name is yours and not the person who shares it with you.
I’m just. Names.
Also there are like the names we go by and how that changes for different people. I go by C on the Internet, but to the certain people close to me here I’m little one or chirpy but no one else calls me that it would be wrong.

I understand that tall men are our POV characters, but surely being like a foot taller than everyone around them would have some occasional consequences

tbh i think the funniest phenomena that's been happening in the last couple years is "youtuber, having gone too deep into the research hole, has been made an investigative journalist against their will"

vampirism poses the question "what if there was a fundamental, horrible, unending well of want in your soul that, if truly satisfied, would lead to great pain for all those you hold closest and, in turn, their absolute and total revilement of you?" and naturally as a person with no problems I don't relate to this in any way at all.

The angst potential alone haunts me. How long do you think he waited for Ford?? When did it start to sink in that nobody was coming to save him, that nobody would miss him? Would anybody even want him back? How long did it take for his anger, his heartbreak, his grief to turn into acceptance and a belief that this was divine retribution? How long did he work, how many jobs did he take, how much wealth did he accrue, how many brushes with death did he have until he believed he’d “earned” the right to go home and see his brother?? Many such questions. I need to go deeper

when I was like 15, a drunk woman I didn’t know at a party who was smoking a cigarette on the porch started randomly opening up to me about her infertility journey and I told her how I was my parents rainbow baby after multiple miscarriages and fertility treatments said not to lose hope. she comforted me about being a strange kid without many friends my age (hence why I was at a party full of adults thrown by my uncle) and told me everything would work out eventually. the next time I saw her like 2 years later (small town, mutual friends) she was carrying her newborn. I think about that a lot. it’s easy to feel disconnected from people and but sometimes just talking to them and hearing their point of view and relating makes you feel less alone. even if you’re only each other’s company for a few moments.
