7. Are they a physically affectionate couple? Are they fine displaying those affections in public or do they prefer to be in private? If they're not, how do they show their love instead?

Calder and Davrin are. Once they get together, they would give each other kisses in greeting and goodbye (if Davrin is not coming out with Cal). They also like to lean on each other while working. Cal would often be giving Davrin back hugs while he carves with Davrin doing similar when Cal is working with some artifact they found or he had from the veil jumpers.

Aohdan and Bellara would be as well. They would always be hugging and kisses each other as often as possible. Also, Bellara would love to lay her head in Aohdan's lap as she reads and Aohdan either plays with her hair or also tries to read the book as well (or she read it to him) and listens to whatever theories Bellara comes up with related to the book she is reading.

I haven't really thought about this so can't think of any atm partly bc I don't listen to music a lot (it's a sensory thing and I have to be in a certain mood and have control of it so it's not too loud).

15. What was the partner's reaction to Rook being imprisoned in the Fade? How do they cope? How did they react upon seeing Rook again?

Davrin does have his heart drop as a immediate reaction and feels like he was finding reasons to live beyond his duty as a grey warden in having a goal even if it's just winging it after (and it's not just about the romance). Davrin ends up chopping a bunch of wood while the team works on finding a way to get Cal back. He helps where he cans but magic and stuff is not his strong suit (and he wishes he could do more) but the team does sure have know firewood. On saving Cal, he is so very relieved to see him and immediately pulls Cal into a hug saying that Assan missed him before giving Cal a kiss as well.

So for Aohdan and Bellara, Bellara was the one taken. So she doesn't even know fully what happened to Aohdan there and has her own shit going on during that time. Tho I can see Elgar'nan mocking her about Aohdan even if she is not completely aware given what is happening to her during that time. But when they both see each other again it's a relieve for them and a strong hug between to the two of them before having to get right back to it fighting.

this is in the walls of adoration, claws of desperation verse. i've actually been working on a few prompts that are all tied together in the same verse for today and am finishing up soon hopefully. where alec is older than izzy and jace by about 7 years, he and magnus have secretly been together for about a year. jace and izzy don't live in new york atm.

Magnus sleeps deeply from the cradle of Alec’s lap and Alec keeps his touches light and gentle as he carefully runs his fingers through Magnus’ hair.

It’s rare that Magnus naps and Alec wants both of them to enjoy it. When Magnus sleeps like this, Alec knows a pure joy to be so trusted by the man he loves and adores above all else.

Which makes the missive Alec’s been given something that he can’t go through with.  While their relationship is a secret, that doesn’t mean it isn’t real. Alec may have been nervous about facing the clave, but he’ll face the clave a thousand times before he lets them take him away from Magnus.

Alec will retire before he lets himself be recalled to Idris. Even if he came out and announced his relationship, it wouldn’t do anything helpful. Not when Alec knows that the clave will only use the promise of Magnus and the threat, they can represent against him.

So, Alec plots instead.

If the clave wants an uproar, then Alec will give them an uproar.

They want him as they see him.

Cold, devoted to the law and an upstanding nephilim who doesn’t have a single mark against him on his record.

Nothing which will matter if they get even a hint of how Alec loves Magnus.

Which means that Alec can’t tell them for even longer now, not until he plays the part he has to.

Magnus shifts, distress in the crease of his brow and Alec soothes him with soft hums and the gentle pet of his fingers.

Alec will destroy the clave himself before he lets them tear him from Magnus.

If Valentine and his remnants are what the clave fear the most, then Alec will become what he must. Alec will become worse than the claves most vivid nightmare.

They cling to their laws and few nephilim bother learning how to manipulate them like Alec does. Alec was raised by his grandparents to respect the law to the letter, but also how to manipulate the words he serves.

They tried not to, but Alec loved his grandparents with the devotion of a child and sought to emulate them both the best he could.  Yet the closer to them he acted, the more distant and disappointed they grew towards him.

Alec as he is now, has few attachments to any nephilim who still lives.

His sentiment belongs to Magnus.

And though Alec does have some fond sympathy for the half-brother he knows lives in Idris and the younger sister and foster brother he sometimes meets with to train, that’s all it is, fondness.

Perhaps, if Alec hadn’t been left behind in Idris, with his Trueblood grandparents, he would be more attached the various children under the Lightwood name.  Alec, however, was seven when his parents returned in disgrace and his grandparents kept him far away from the Lightwood’s, and their name.

Even now, he’s known as a Trueblood and Alec will be true to the law and spill blood if the clave asks it of him.

The tricky thing about judgement, however, is that it often comes for those least expecting it.

The clave won’t be able to take Magnus from him when he’s the only thing between them and the monster they created and in time, the clave will learn to fear Alec and what he can do to them.

I answered um all 4 of them, for both girls, so I'm gonna put everything under a read-more because it got a little long rip

So usually, Eleri is the HoF. I've played around with Evangelina as the HoF on her own, but I think my favourite verse for her at least atm is that she's just a noble for most of DAO, who married Thomas Howe before the game started. She maybe? pops up in Denerim around the Landsmeet? And provides some Helpful Info for Eleri to use when she takes down Arl Howe (or maybe goes with her as an Extra Companion??) And then she's probably recruited to the Wardens during Awakening sometime since they're setting up base in her house.

Protagonist swap game !!

Backstory - Does your character fit into one of the potential backstories for the game they are now in? If not, how do they end up in the situation? Do they bring any key characters with them?

Evangelina's backstory fits in pretty well I think? The Couslands are pretty close to the Mac Tirs in my heart since they're the only two Teyrnirs left in Ferelden, so I can see Queen Anora sending her along to the Conclave as her representative. I was going to say I'd probably have her be unmarried in this AU, but then I realised I can have Thomas go with her and then Oop he dies at the Conclave. For extra drama >:)

For Eleri, I can't think of a reason for her to be around at the start of the game, BUT. I think she'd be all about the Red Jennies. And since Sera is from Denerim, too, I think it'd be fun to say they knew eachother already. Maybe Sera mentions her after she joins the Inquisition, and suggests they go pick her up too?

Of course, this means Evangelina is the only one there to get the mark and become the Herald. I do think, though, that once they pick Eleri up, she'd slide into the actual role of Inquisitor, even if not necessarily publicly. Eleri actually has the strategic sort of mind that works well in a position of power. Evangelina does not lmao. But to a lot of their allies and sponsors, Evangelina is going to look a lot better for the Inquisition than a city elf from Denerim.

Romance - Do you think they would find love among their new companions? If not, why not?

For Eleri, I kind of love the idea of a friends-to-lovers situation with Sera for her? It's like !!! The world is ending!!! I'm so grateful that I'm here with you, my best friend!!!! It could very easily slip into romance territory with a little nudge, I think.

Evangelina would be all over Cullen, and I think also Krem once they recruit the Chargers. I can only really see Krem being into it, however, and I don't think it would last post-game. Evangelina needs pushback in her romantic relationships, and she flirts by being as annoying as possible to get a reaction. She wants that reciprocated. I can't see Cullen putting up with it for very long tbh (I actually think he'd be convinced that she hates him), but Krem?? I can see being a bit taken aback at first (purely because she's?? the Herald of Andraste???) but once he cottons on he's like Okay. I can work with that. They'd be good for each-other I think tbh, and post-game it's a relationship they'll look back on fondly.

Choice - What in-game decision would have the most impact on your character? What would be the most dramatic change they would bring to the worldstate?

High-key Eleri is making all the major decisions. She's just steering Evangelina in the direction she wants her to go. That said, Evangelina is extremely thrilled that "she" got to choose the next Divine, and brags about it endlessly, to everyone, for the rest of her life.

For Eleri, there are 2 choices that stand out. The ruler of Orlais, ofc. I can see that whole questline really hitting home for her as a city elf, and being able to ensure Briala has the power to stand up for their people in Orlais going forwards would mean a great deal to her, I think.

I can also really see the Well of Sorrows being a big deal to her. Eleri grew up on stories about the Dalish. Despite being very real people, in her mind at the start of her journey, whatever game she's in, they feel almost like a fairy tale. In Origins, she names her dog Revas, mostly because of that. In being recruited, she was given a "freedom" in a sense. She names her dog accordingly, because in her mind, there is no-one more free than the Dalish.

So the Well of Sorrows would hit her hard, I think. And Morrigan, bless her heart, might have been raised by literal Mythal herself, but all Eleri is gonna see in that moment is another human trying to take a piece of their history (which breaks my HEART because Origins!Eleri would consider Morrigan her best friend)

Endings - Where do you think your character would end up at the end of their reassigned adventures?

Evangelina is 100% using her newfound influence to secure a good marriage for herself. My girl is not interested in marrying for love, she just wants a castle. Bye Krem! #sorrynotsorry (She will absolutely miss Krem later and regret this choice, despite what she will say if asked)

Eleri, I can see sticking around. She'd be on the Hunt Down Solas taskforce for sure. She isn't someone that likes to stop. If things need to be done, it might as well be her doing them. At least then she can make sure it's done right. I like the thought of her and Sera travelling with Harding and Varric for a spell and then splitting off before Veilguard starts.

Trying to organize my ask notebook better since I've run out of space under general fandom asks and I would like to know what fandoms you are in so I can ask the correct people about the correct fandoms.

I think my main ones are Bagginshield/The Hobbit, Sherlock/Johnlock, Dragon Age Inquisition, {Pippin/Faramir Merry/Eowyn}/The Lord of the Rings and I dip my toes in a few that I currently can't remember but ones I don't engage in canon at all are Good Omens but only for Crowley/Azirapheal ship, Stranger Things but only for Steve/Eddie ship, The Witcher but only for Geralt/Jaskier things and Ladybug and Cat Noir but only for Adrinette .

there's a few other assorted things that fuck me up about having played my canon/first run of veilguard through as tyr that i don't think i have the full ability to word properly atm and i'm not sure when or if i will, so i'll suffice with a shorter(? we'll see how bad i ramble) list.

for one, the recurrent themes of grief and change and regret are just. delicious. and exactly the kind of shit tyr's baked out of or into or however you wanna say it in his ~original media presence (swtor), so it's absolutely incredible to watch it come up so often in veilguard. i figured he'd fit really well and naturally into rook's role and i wasn't disappointed. one day i could probably make a screenshot dialogue collection of it all, but i also know my own motivation for that kinda thing, so that's. a fairly big project i just don't think i'll ever actually complete but it lives in my mind.

the second is that it is massively fucked up after the twist in the end that his dragon age verse tag is a line of varric's from inquisition and i am still crying and sniffling about it intermittently because there's no way i could've known about that. and god it works painfully well. there better be a damn good punchline, varric says. hold my beer and watch this, said veilguard.

neve and him still drive me up a wall (positive). i want to chew on electric cables or something about it. she's incredible and i love her. and it's incredible the kind of... parallels if you will that are in her and tyr's relationship and to some of the relationships he's had elsewhere (shara jenn, anyone? yeah. i'm still not over my watcher two feelies and neither is tyr). the only explanation i can think of for why i didn't predict how down bad i'd (and... tyr, tbh) be for her is because i didn't dig a whole lot into the material immediately before release bc i just wanted to have fun when i got my hands on the game. they have similarities to each other, and neve's own struggle draws out a really interesting Thing tyr does about... where his love and beliefs sorta come together. honestly, part of why he falls so fucking hard for her is because she's on the edge of letting him jump off the i love you cliff, uncertain if she should let either of them take the risk of actually saying it. i think a lot of it is exactly that neve gallus knows the kind of loyalty that's in that man. she wants to believe him when he says they'll figure it out, but they're up against impossible odds, and he is trouble, for her, because she knows the kind of lengths someone like him is willing to go to. he'll see this through to the end, whatever it takes, because that was a promise. and he'll apply that same level of dedication to whatever it is he feels for her. [inhales] god they're so fucking good, brent.

i'm probably forgetting other things but. again. short rambly list just to kind of get it out of my skull and remember to share it because i want to even if all the words won't word completely how i kinda know they are in my head, lol.

i also have developing feelings about rook #2 (welcome back theo, the man the myth the legend most of you probably haven't met but i love him) and it's doing really interesting things about family and performance pressure and fitting in with him that, again, brain refuses to fully articulate atm. but they're in there. gnawing on what it's doing to the crow background for me w/him.

I do neither 1 nor 2 (I do try, but I always fail 'cause of boredom). And I don't really play either. I mainly (atm, at least) stay in CAS and imagine stories about some premade families and OC's.

BUT! I do love building and even more, I adore decorating. I can spend hours working on one tiny room, just picking the right clutter (I'm an over-clutterer) and putting it in the right place. For me, a house or flat has to reflect the personalities & hobbies of the sims living there. Even when I build just for the sake of building, I end up having a sim or family in mind that could live on the lot I'm creating. Either it's a tiny home no bigger than 24 tiles, a manor with 8 bedrooms (that one is a bit under-decorated for me, though; but that worked with the family I made it for), an abandoned asylum with nearly 30 cells (plus other rooms), or a whole-ass post-apo settlement, it still has to tell a story, even without any sims around, you know?

I recently started a save using "RatSave 1.2" by @ratboysims though 'cause I didn't feel like building a whole world for the soap-operaesque 'verse I'm creating.

good question & i think i can answer !! the snowdin npcs characterize the state of the underground as being in crisis, these ones in particular summing not only the crises but also why you don't notice it much when you play undertale -- its because its very popular culturally for monsters to focus on cracking jokes instead of talking about their problems because what else is there to do? so you can generally assume that most monsters are struggling a lot, they just dont talk about it much because it makes them sad scarf mouse:

onionsan also gives some insight on the fact that the water in the underground is slowly getting dried up (presumably if monsters live here forever then they will eventually run out of water because most of the underground is covered by a ceiling and thus cant be refilled by rain) as well as overpopulation

the fact that the underground is much larger than what we see in-game is true, but that also just means we have to assume that the places we dont see are overpopulated, since that is what the npcs in the game consistently say and it would be odd if they were lying about that haha! alongside the issue of overpopulation and resources though, it's also a bit of a revenge thing-- everyone in the underground knows that they were imprisoned there at least 2k years ago, so even if the underground was perfect for them, there's something to be said about pride being stolen from them as a species. like the underground is okay but everyone down there knows that there's hundreds of countries they can never visit and sights they can never see (e.g. the sky, the sun, modern cities, the beach- all things emphasized by the credits scene in undertale) because they were collectively defeated and locked away by this infinitely more powerful threat (humanity) that most monsters dont know anything about other than "those are the people that defeated us". sure you could survive and maybe even find happiness in an industrial-grade prison that meets all your needs, but would you really feel okay living in a prison, knowing the outer world is so much larger? that's why asgore's specific goal, and the one monsters look forward to, is revenge by wiping out all of humanity and taking the surface back (especially because while they were imprisoned 2,000 or more years ago, per catty & bratty saying "millennia", the royal children were murdered by humans in living memory, seemingly around 100 years ago-- thats only a couple of generations, and many monsters can live longer than humans so they remember it happening! the second war on humanity is VERY VERY recent! when you go into the underground, a war is CURRENTLY happening, it's just happening very very slowly because the ""warfare"" amounts to picking off human kids one-by-one every few decades lmao 😭)

as for post-pacifist fan content, i think they mostly have most monsters live there because the true pacifist epilogue poses the VAST majority of npcs in the game saying that they're gonna move to the surface (probably for all the reasons i just mentioned). there might be more but atm i can only think of two NPCs who explicitly dont want to move, and one of them is Sans who ends up moving anyway

but yeah, you are right in that its not meant to be a super smooth transition, theres a bunch of epilogue dialogue that shows how monsters dont really have a plan for what they'll do on the surface, but they have to try -- the key one being the choice for frisk to become the ambassador between humans and monsters, meaning that asgore fully expects to have a long and annoying geopolitical crisis on his hands immediately, to the point where he'll need an embassy and a symbol of peace & unity (frisk). honestly that just boils down to the fact that most fanfic writers arent well-versed on advanced political diplomacy and dont really want to write 5 years of "Asgore & Frisk In Court With The United Nations" LOL, and we see in the credits that most monsters settle happily eventually anyway so most creators just skip to that point! one thing i want to note though (and i dont at all mean for this to be rude because as you can see i love stuff like this!) this sort of line of questioning isnt really what UT/DR is known for! despite all the lines of worldbuilding i just cited, toby fox isnt really interested in worldbuilding that much. in these games the actual story is far far more important than the specific logistics or "lore" of it, rightfully imo, and the world is only there as a backdrop for what actually matters which is the characters and their arcs. like hometown in deltarune doesnt have a firefighter station! the school has ONE parking spot even though we're meant to believe everyone in town has a car (and where are all those cars in the traffic jam in ch2 being kept?? theres no garages!) and the reason for that is that toby just doesnt really care, because its not important. so, with your original post, while i understand where you're coming from, i feel like you were analyzing the underground with a lens of "how it should be" rather than "how it is", because like. is it unrealistic for 99.9% of the population to suddenly decide to move to the surface? maybe so, but that's what happens canonically! it makes about as much sense as monsters putting dangerous puzzles on the main roads to major settlements (read: not much)! the point of Undertale wasnt the minutiae of which resources the monsters are lacking and why- just that you suspend your disbelief and go along with it because the message is that the monsters are a violently oppressed people who harbor fantasies of revenge in war, but that you can bridge the gap, right an ancient wrong & rewrite history through the power of kindness. its thematic storytelling over technical storytelling yk? sorry for the length but i hope this helps !! 😋

Something I’ve been thinking about for a while now.

Why do monsters wish to go out onto the surface?

I'm not saying it’s wrong or weird, they have every right to wish for it. However I’m not sure why they’re as depressed as they are. For what we know they aren't facing any sort of crisis. They have a whole functioning ecosystem down there. They can produce enough food to feed themselves. They aren't really lacking space to live either. From what we see in-game there’s still a lot of space untouched. Plus Frisk sort of beelined to new home, so the actual size of the Underground is probably way larger. Not to mention the Core, which provides nearly if not unlimited power. And, as someone who lives on the surface, the underground could be better in some ways. They have less conflicts, such as racism, homophobia, etc. Also, despite his misdoings, Asgore isn’t really a bad king to Monsterkind. Every monster we meet who mentions Asgore, excluding Toriel, seems to be positive with him. The only thing I noticed is the lack of content. Monsters live from whatever scraps from humans which fell into Waterfall. Their only other source of content is Mettaton, who also inspire off of what humans do on the surface. However you can’t really say ‘I wish to see the surface because we lack content in the Underground, and we are bored.’ You don’t need access to the surface to create content. The underground and what it provides is enough to make their own with enough imagination.

Feel free to prove me wrong. I didn't do a lot of research on this, so there’s probably a lot of stuff I missed.

Oh and also, speaking of the surface, every post-pacifist AUs or timelines I see seems to make every monster just move out of the Underground. But I don’t think that’s how it works…? Humans ain’t gonna give out free land just because some monsters came out from under a rock and demanded it after being absent for 1000 years. Also most of the Monsters have their home in the Underground they probably won’t want to move out and leave where they lived for their whole lives. Moving into the surface will take a very long time, as they’ll have to build homes and infrastructures. Just staying in the Underground where all of these are already present is much more convenient. Now that the barrier is broken, they can just go out whenever they want. They don’t need to live on the surface to see the surface you know….

But it's also the fact I grew up without cable television and the media consumption I had was TVOkids, occasional bits of CityTV (I watched a bit of Modern Family sometimes), and CBC (I watched a Murdoch Mysteries thru the ages of 9-11). I LOVED CBC Marketplace and Murdoch Mysteries as a kid, I still do watch both of them to an extent and they're the two things that stuck with me.

I don't entirely know what "typical media consumption childhood" means to you, but I don't entirely think I had it very "typical", considering if I mention the shows I grew up with (Jack, Science Max Experiments At Large, Odd Squad, Wild Kratts, etc) I bet you'd know a few of them but certainly not all of them lol. Some of them I can't even find properly on google unless I actually try and some of the shows I've watched feel like a fever dream and I sometimes doubt I actually watched the shows simply because they're so unknown, even to Dr. Google.

I even watched some of the typical "adult" shows (well, shows that you don't find the average kid watching but aren't gore-y or swearing or anything like that), because TVOkids didn't go on forever and ended at 7pm on the dot and transitioned to normal TVO, which had boring stuff like documentaries and The Agenda (i still don't know what that's about, but I never stuck around to find out). Even CBC had a CBC Kids section but that went on for even less time than TVOkids so I rarely spent much time on that channel. So as a kid who only went to bed at 8pm you found other things to watch on the other channels on your TV (we didn't have normal streaming services so there wasn't even that lol).

I even watched a bit of Just For Laughs with my family because it was essentially visual comedy with 0 sound and my parents have english as a second language so it's something anyone could understand without needing to understand certain concepts. Just For Laughs is essentially just pranks that these hosts (they're always the same people) play on random street people and then they show them the camera at the end. It's rlly funny, check it out lol.

I literally never had access to channels like Cartoon Network, Disney, and your typical cartoon channels because being Canadian shuts it down almost immediately. Even now when I specifically try to access it legally (for free) I can't. I've only in the recent few years learned about the magic of piracy and getting what you want, when you want but otherwise I wouldn't have even been able to watch the shows I do love atm.

As a side note, I was also raised with Ukrainian/Russian shows like vinnie pooh (the russian one, i didn't know there was an english one until i was 11 lol) and cheburashka. Both of these even upon google search bring up core childhood memories and I do love them so much. Also buratino (the movie i think, don't remember whether it was cartoon or live-action) was something I remember watching (there's a certain song which I can recite with lyrics and tune is something I still carry with me as a very crystal clear memory).

Edit: Wow. The English names of the russian shwos I watched are very disappointing. Wow. Also here's another gem I remembered. One of my favorites growing up.

Even then I guess I'm not really... interested in most of the 90s/00s shows unless the concept is good (also bc I'm already watching so many shows rn I don't I'd handle more than I'm currently watching/planning to watch).

Anyways this answer turned out to be much longer than I thought this would be but that's basically the rundown of my very interesting media consumption. I am "Gen Z" by all accounts but even then I don't think my interests were very usual lol.

so you're absolutely okay asking and i'll answer publically because i have like a dozen song prompts in my inbox and drafts and I'm sure there are others curious but jsyk, it's okay to send a pm asking stuff. i don't find it rude cause i know from experience that sometimes its less nerve racking than sending an ask

i know its different for everyone but just putting it out there ^_^

so music is really hit or miss for me. i'll listen to the same playlists and artists for a couple years without expanding because the sensory input of new songs can be a little much. i don't really have a way to vet whether or not the music will be too much for me and things have been so busy and (noisy and loud and overwhelming) that i haven't really tried to listen to new music in a couple of months.

@saryn-prime has to listen to a lot of their music on headphones instead of n speakers and oftentimes i'll listen to the same song on repeat for hours. if i'm overstimulated even a song i love can set off a migraine and certain tunes or tempos can send my mood spiraling, rising or plummeting without my say so

so (especially when i want to actually kind of really explore a song and give it a chance and also enjoy it in regards to malec or writing) i'm saving like the dozen songs for when i have the spoons to process and possibly enjoy the songs.

Saeth turned on music earlier and i lasted two songs before i was asking them to turn it to safe playlist (which they immiedately did).

btw i love getting music and song reccomendations in regards to malec and shadowhunters or in general. i've been inspired for some really fun fics and ideas, but atm my brain isn't up to that kind of processing :/

pray to the hunters i like to write with the song playing in the background but i cant currently handle the tempo/voices/percussion mix so i haven't been writing or playing it

so i have them and probably in a few weeks or a month my brain will be back to processing music appropriately and i can enjoy the songs shared with me

Keith fell in love with Lance when he was fourteen and Lance stayed up with him all night to help him cram for a Spanish test that he really couldn't afford to fail. Keith didn't want to fall in love with his best friend; it just happened! The realization terrified him and he resolved never to tell Lance about it.

Lance fell in love with Nyma when he was sixteen and they dated for two years. In Keith's opinion, Nyma was a bitch. No, he wasn't jealous, he was simply observant. Nyma always asked Lance to buy her stuff and take her to fancy places while she belittled and insulted Lance's language, heritage, family and everything in between. Lance gradually lost the spark in his eyes and Keith hated seeing him so sad all the time. Then Nyma cheated on Lance with Rolo and didn't even bother to hide it. Lance was devastated.

When Lance turned nineteen, just a few months after his heart was thoroughly shattered by Nyma, Lance kissed Keith on the lips. Keith wanted to say it was sweet, but he only felt grossed out. He still loved Lance, but Lance didn't love him and was still hung up on Nyma.

Keith abruptly ended the kiss and he must have looked horrified because Lance immediately looked sorry and began apologizing. Keith wanted to cry, but not in front of Lance, so he just up and left. Lance tried to come after him, but Keith was sneaky when he wanted to be.

That night Keith sent his application to the Garrison Galaxy which his foster brother Shiro also attended. He was accepted. He began to pack his bags immediately and wrote a long letter to Lance:

Dear Lance,

I know what you're doing, but I can't play along this time and pretend it's fine. I like you, a lot, and I have for years. I would like for you to fall in love with me for me, and not because you're trying to get over your ex. I wouldn't mind taking you out on a nice date or two.

I got accepted into the Galaxy Garrison and will be leaving in a month. I think we both need some space. But I will come back, and if you're ready then, and willing, I'll take you out on a real date and show you that you can fall in love with me for me.

This is one of my favorie bands, and I wanted to write a fic to this song. Essentially, for those who don't know Spanish, in the song the guy is telling the girl that he doesn't want to be used to get over her ex. He tells her he'll wait until she's ready and that it can be love at second sight.

This is my favorite verse: "Porque no quiero estar ahí cuando tu llores/ Lágrimas nuevas pero de viejos amores/ Y que el recuerdo de alguien más riegue mis flores."

(Translation: Because I don't want want to be there when you cry/ new tears over old lovers / and that another's memories water my flowers. [ugh,this translation doesn't sound right but it's 1 am and this is the best I can do atm])
