Seven Warlords of the Sea

*edit: because I like an idiot forgot Akainu didn't actually want the warlord program destroyed 😭

the real reason that Akainu *should have* voted for the destruction of the Warlord program is, besides them being filthy pirates, they were also just fucking embarrassing.

Like pathetically, how did we let this happen, embarrassing In the amount of time we have known them, between the 12 total Shichibukai;

4 of them got their asses beat by the same dude (1 of them before he even became a warlord)

2 of them went on to openly work for/ with said dude

1 of them literally fell in love with and actively sabotages efforts to apprehend this same dude

At two separate points they have actively tried to recruit (and succeeded once) the sons of two of their biggest ops.

Not to mention how 1 of them also got their ass beat by said dude's brother and then they would lose 3 more on the same day over the war for the life of said brother who was the same son they tried to recruit

2 of the Warlords would then go on to harbor/ mentor a member of this dude's crew and the dude himself! Arguably when he was the most wanted criminal alive. While the member that should have been the most robotically compliant protected the dude's pirate ship with his life.

They got played four different times on a world stage by 4 different members and 3 of said times all involved THIS SAME DUDE!

2 of the times involving the take over of a country that was then foiled by said dude while the marines did nothing.

They've had to imprison 2 of them and brainwash a 3rd

They've had to shop for replacements 7 whole times just in the span of 3 years

At no point have all seven members attended a meeting. Hell Hancock has attended not a one.

During the months before their disbandment there weren't even 7 of them! there were only 5

They are pretty sure 1 of them is fucking an emperor, 1 of them was working for an emperor, 1 of them might be (it is unconfirmed) the illegitimate son of a now dead emperor and another is protected by The actual fucking Dark King.

They literally had to fire Moria for being a fucking embarrassment

And one of them is a fucking clown

that would go on to recruit 2 other former warlords to create a guild that encourages the hunting of marines for sport and rise to the ranks of emperor.

Of course Akainu hates their fucking guts. They are quite literally the stupidest group of people he has ever had to work with in his life and they seem to bring out new levels of previously unreached stupidity in the marines! Just a cesspool of failure and incompetency trying to call itself a program.

95% of the reason Sengoku retired was to get away from these fucking idiots. He was drowing in the sea of paperwork Mihawk alone was causing not to mention the rest of their dumbasses and Akainu isn't about that life.

And that brings me to reason number 184 of why Akainu *should have* voted yes on disbanding the warlords

dealing with the fucking paper work storm and international incident that hit Sengoku's desk everytime Mihawk decided that needing to be fucked outweighed being subjected to an idiot. Nah Akainu needed them gone like yesterday.

Kobylu Week Day 1: Roleswap

LAST FEW MINUTES OF THE DAY SHUSSSSH

Okay silly lore I thought of since I'm free now-

The only ones swapped are Koby and Luffy, and I also adore the Rocks D. Koby AUs so of course I alluded to that lmao, and basically Luffy is just the most unhinged Marine you've ever fucking seen 💀

Rumor that Xebec had a descendant got out a while before Koby was born, around the time Roger was executed. Koby was soon involuntarily abandoned after he was born, since his parents got found out and killed by Marines. He was taken into the care of a communication line of fishermen, who found out Koby's bloodline pretty quickly, but decided to keep it a secret. He was passed island to island to keep his existence a secret (oh hey sorta like Luffy lol), but he was still kidnapped by Alvida at 14. However, Koby was aware of his lineage and was already trained in how to defend himself, and he managed to escape only after a few weeks, albeit badly injured. By pure coincidence, he ran into Red-Haired Shanks, who decided to give Koby some medical attention before dropping him off someplace. In the time they knew each other, Shanks decided to give Koby -instead of his whole hat- the red ribbon attached to his strawhat to Koby. Koby still wears the ribbon as a bandana to this day.

Luffy never met Shanks in this AU, and Garp drilled Marine ideology into his grandson's head harsher than ever, but it of course didn't stick right, and Luffy interprets it in bizarre ways. Luffy is still extremely motivated to find the One Piece, but not to become the King of the Pirates. He just wants to out of spite and boredom.

Luffy and Koby met during the timeskip, about a year after Ace had been wrongly executed. In that time, Koby had become a prominant pirate from both his name and his grandfather's. People assumed he was after the One Piece as well, and they weren't wrong, but Koby's real reason to find the One Piece was to end the era of pirates, not to become King. Luffy had been on a sort of off-site probation after he tried publicly saving Ace (to keep him out of the public's eye/to forcefully make him cool down/to make people believe he was dead), and ran into Koby. Luffy was briefed who Koby was, but couldn't care less, and became good friends with him extremely quickly.

Au where the ASL brothers somehow get stranded on an abandoned forest island and it’s a lord of the flies situation but not really where they just become half feral and rely on each others. Setting sail themselves and they bite every marine they meet.

The whole crew assuming Luffy is naive about sex and dating in general but he is in fact the most knowledgeable on it, even more so than Sanji and Chopper(safe sex education blah blah blah). He’s literally never dated and has very little desire to, he’s openly sex repulsed, and yet this man will give THE BEST relationship advice you’ve heard in your life. He may not personally get what your going through but he’s a good third party to have since his advice isn’t clouded by a bias of some kind, he just states what he believes is the obvious smarter solution.

Had this thought earlier that I had to share. Ace is still in his assassination days, trying to kill Whitebeard when the WB Pirates pull something up. Someone?

Suddenly he gets a hug with the full force of a rubbery little brother that SHOULD BE ON DAWN ISLAND WHAT THE FUCK LUFFY!!!!

“Shishishishi I got kidnapped! Sorry!” Luffy of course replied with a grin. After hitting his brother on the head and dragging the rubber brain to a secluded area Ace got the story out of Luffy. He did get kidnapped, and through a series of escaping, getting lost, getting kidnapped and repeat, Luffy found himself on the Moby Dick. Luffy, understandably, is surprised to find out he is not in East Blue.

Ace, being the responsible older brother that he is, puts a hold on his attempt on getting Whitebeard’s head, gets his crew together with Luffy and gets out of dodge. He needed to get Luffy back home after all. Especially after coming to the realization that he’s on a time limit if Garp realizes that Luffy’s gone missing and finds Luffy with Ace.

That would be a mess that Ace and Luffy both don’t want, causing Luffy wanting to get home as soon as possible. But it would be nice to adventure with his brother all the while!

It's been so long since I talked about the manga, and honestly I just felt a lil uninterested in it these last couple of days. Especially after the Garp fiasco and stuff, seeing him losing really left a bad taste in my mouth. However I did enjoy his mini flashback with aokiji. And this got me wondering: what exactly is Aokiji doing? Is he really with BB and just now he realized his mistakes? And with Pudding being held captive (as well as Moria but that's for another topic) and with her powers awakened she could read poneglyphs, then there's a chance he might turn his back on the Blackbeard pirates and take Pudding with him. However my theory only lacks his motives of bringing Pudding along, maybe he wants to make up for something terrible he's done?

Also, just like pre-timeskip op, Oda got back to the theme of "redeeming yourself" with characters like Katakuri, Kuma, Pudding, Sentomaru, Lucci (to some extent), Jinbe...etc being characters who were/seemed evil at some point just to redeem themselves and help, maybe even sacrifice themselves for what they believe is the great good. So what will Aokiji's purpose be?

All of these questions won't be answered until next year because as we all know Oda keeps on fidgeting between characters, either the revos, the royalties, the strawhats...etc. but honestly I just wanna go back to egghead and see what Oda will be baking for us
