@scrvivesâ said â regardless of where we stand, i admire you. â - Freya
The witch laughed at her sentence, not cruel or derisive, but an exasperated laugh that could only encapsulate his very complicated feelings for the Mikaelson family. Their presence in the city brings about pain and suffering, most often for the witches he protects, and butting heads with Klaus, Elijah, and even Freya leaves him drained for the most part. âYou know, Freya Mikaelson, I can say the same about you.â And he does admire her. Vincent is no stranger to power. It was what had drawn him to his ex-wife in the first place. Her burning spirit, her joyful laugh, and her unbelievable strength when it came to wielding magic.
Sometimes he mourned that Freya was too loyal to her family, not only because they lost a good potential ally against the vampires and wolves, but also because the Mikaelsons hardly seemed to respect her for all that she did. Perhaps a thousand years of living like monsters robbed them of their ability to understand the flow of magic, but he had seen the types of spells Freya conjured to save her family time and again, and all witches knew the kind of power it took to enact them. Magic was about balance, a give and a take. To take that sort of power from nature required a sacrifice of some sort, usually taken from the body of the spellcaster. He remembered his lessons from the Treme, a young boy with bright eyes trying to absorb everything he could about magic, and the stern warnings his class had been given.Â
âYour family does not deserve you.â He knew that it was foolish to say such a thing to her face, but he felt that someone ought to. If only to say that they had. âIâll see you around, Freya. Thanks for the drink.â

@scrvivesâ said â what?! what am i supposed to do?! please! tell me, what the hell am i supposed to do?! â
âI donât fucking know!â Hope screamed back at her aunt. A sharp blast of magic burst out from her frame and she struggled for a moment to contain the sudden outflow of magic. Her emotions were not even close to stable at the moment, werenât on a good day, and certainly werenât when her mother was missing and it was all her fault. Hope pressed her palms to her temple as she tried to steady her breathing, the way that her mother had taught her to. Another painful wrench of guilt and Hope finally redirects the magic upwards where it would dissipate harmlessly. The girl fell to her knees and let out a choked sob as the wave of emotions ebbed away as quickly as it had come up, at least enough for Hope to control it. âIâm sorry, Aunt Freya. I shouldnât have yelled, Iâm sorry...âÂ

â we yield to it or we fight it , but we cannot meet it halfway . â // freya
"And taking up arms involves obtaining my allegiance. How acutely heartwarming." Contempt permeated his response. Although it wasn't directed at the unexpected bearer of recent events.
"Unrelenting pest. He and his boorish experimentations. What other path lies ahead of me? Elijah's departure would mark not only my own end but the end of those under my protection. My sister's fate remains unescapably intertwined to your sister'." Gelid resentment was very much directed at her this time. Even so, this might also be the most distinctly honest exchange between them.Â
"Very well. Let it be truce." Tristan determined after a moment of contemplation with a rather solemn look to his features.
"I was the one to command his execution the first time around, after all. It would be an awful shame to be absent during the reprise. Is there anything closely resembling a stratagem so far? What is it that you expect from me, Mikaelson witch?"

@scrvivesâ said:Â " you are so intelligent. why do you do such stupid things? " // freya
"Ah.â A part of Elijah was ruffled by her words, his ego not appreciating the jab - but he continued to dust the ash off of his jacket and let out a low hum. âI believe it is time you learned a valuable lesson of the Mikaelson family, sister.â He paused ( for dramatic effect ) as he raised his gaze to meet hers. âYou have no SMART BROTHERS. Intelligent - of course. Smart? Hm. It comes and goes.â
