I also think it's very nice you added the part where he writes poetry and that he'd use his skills to gift things to someone he loves. Oh, ABSOLUTELY he'd court the person he likes! Although, when he'd court you, I feel like it would be with gestures or things that are small and actually MEANINGFUL to you - something that shows you he CARES and how much more beautiful you make his world. Oh, like, you know...things he doesn't realize can be considered courting cuz DENIAL 😀👍🏽

(At least it can be seen like that for someone with his status as a feared god, anyways.)

Like cooking for both you and him (and my LORD is his cooking GODLY tho - right up there with Uraume) more often, encouraging you when you're feeling down/upset (but in a cold and stern way that's, ehh...not very comforting tbh), making off hand compliments, letting you touch him in nonsexual ways, getting protective around you with other ppl, gifts that remind him of you AND are valuable to you, and other things like that.

If you're lucky enough to come across his sketchbook or his journal of failed poetry - you'll find half finished sketches and paintings of you, and unfinished poems about you there; comparing you to things like the refreshing sight of spring after winter, the warmth of gentle sunlight at dawn, the comfort of a well cooked meal. All of them unfinished because he failed to capture how he sees you, or how you make him feel. MANS IS WHIPPED. Don't test your luck going thru his stuff tho, homie (gender!neutral).

bruh this sucks shit, the person i THOUGHT i was fliritng with (we'll use he/him here) turns out to actually have very genuine and sweet romantic feelings for my friend (they/them) who'd been helping me emotionally with the anxiety of trying to flirt with said person.

i dont think he knows how i feel about it, or even if i know at all. my friend knows everything and tells me everything including how they didnt think they would be able to date him anyway bc of difference in communication styles.

my friend is poly, but idk abt him, its never come up, and i dont know if i am either. i dont mind the idea, especially if its with someone whos experienced, but this is rough.

First of all, thanks!!

I've been giving some thought to what to say, a bunch of things come to mind but I haven't talked about the romance angle... almost at all? So it may be better to go from something simple and basic.

For starters, Nela didn't have much serious romantic experience pre-game. She got kidnapped relatively young, which greatly limited her chances as-is, and she had been a late bloomer. What few relationships she had didn't go that far.

Then the game started, and romance was the least of her concerns. Surviving, the mythic powers and figuring out all her new responsibilities came first. That is until the ✨Courting✨ starts.

She hadn't thought of having a real relationship with Daeran until then. Yet, to her own shock, she found herself a bit too into the whole dance. Way, way too into it. I mean, yes, she had flirted with him before that! But she had never expected it to go anywhere given his personality, you know? She mostly intended it as playful banter and little else.

But then it was serious. And she actually liked it. A lot. She couldn't bring herself to reject him, even if she knew the very thorny path ahead.

Mind you: as much as the intensity of her own feelings blindsided her, she is as much of an active pursuer as him (if not more) once she comes to terms with it. She is getting them through this, dammit.

i bought two tiny 1ml perfume samples. i got concrete by comme des garcons, which ive seen described as "like an art classroom" and like walking in a business district or under a mossy overpass, and then tam dao from diptyque, which is described as indian sandalwood, which isnt a scent i really like irl but we'll see how it goes

i've been wearing deathandfloral's art school dropout recently - the site describes it as wet clay, car exhaust, paint water, pencil shavings. it felt fitting, i don't draw anymore and i work in a car factory. when i tried it on at first i didn't like it bc it just felt waxy and sweet. but now after wearing it a few times i really like it - it starts off sweet and chemical and i definitely get the car exhaust note, which then turns more woody and mineral, which i guess is the clay/paint and pencil shavings. inexplicably it does smell strongly like lime after a while

i think i want a good death/graveyard/etc scent but a lot of the death related perfumes i see are WAIT LUSH BROUGHT BACK KERBSIDE VIOLET POST CANCELLED

How did Nnoitra develop his fashion style? Was it different as kid? Would he cringe at his younger self?

❝ My fuckin' WHAT now? Fashion style? ❞ He looked down at his body, and tugged at his baggy, washed-out t-shirt. It was kinda funny, having someone refer to the way he dressed as a ' fashion style ', so he was chuckling. He'd spotted a smudge on his t-shirt, and was currently trying to rub it off with aggressive use of his thumb. And some spit.

❝ Would ya really call this a style? ❞ He asked with a small laugh, his face twisting into a focused expression as he continued to work on the smudge. Nnoitra definitely didn't think he had any sort of STYLE. He wore clothes only for their practicality and their comfort. He didn't think he'd ever, in his entire life, actually dressed up.

Nnoitra always wore large, baggy t-shirts. Not because he thought they looked good on him or whatever, but because that's what fit him. He had an incredibly awkward build. His shoulders were REALLY wide. So wide that triple X could feel kinda tight sometimes. He had to shop at stores that were meant for... Large people, let's say. People who weighed what? Ten times as much as him? The hell if he knew. Those t-shirts were large enough for his shoulders and his wide chest, but - Nnoitra had skinny arms and the smallest waist. At least his torso was long, so the t-shirts didn't end up too long on him. But yeah, they appeared baggy. He had the same problem when buying hoodies or sweaters.

Pants were easier, since Nnoitra's legs were thin, and his hips narrow. The length though? Yeah, that was an issue. He bought whatever pants would fit him, whenever he came across them. Mostly they were a little short on him, but whatever.

He had a large black coat he wore in winter, and he always wore the same old army boots that he'd bought years ago. Other than that? He wore his eye-patch every day and that pretty much concluded his whole "fashion style". As for colours? He preferred black, grey or muted colours. In summer he wore a little bit of a brighter range, with reds and some yellows. He had some green t-shirts too. He preferred to buy clothes with a darker colour because they didn't stain so easily.

He'd wore the same kinda clothes his whole adult life, as well as when he was a teenager. More or less since he grew this tall, he had to adapt to wearing clothes that a) would fit him, and b) were cheap. It had been easier when he was a kid, since he'd been normal-sized, and he'd just worn whatever his mother bought for him. He had never CARED about wearing fancy stuff. What he wanted was to appear less skinny, and baggy clothes definitely did that for him.

So no, he wouldn't cringe at his younger self. At least not due to how his younger self had dressed. Hell, he probably still wore some of the same t-shirts from 10 years ago.

❝ How I'd describe it... ❞ He pondered out loud, tapping his fingers against the stain, which he'd somehow managed to make worse with his efforts to remove it. ❝ It's comfortable 'n ugly. ❞ He found the description funny, and grinned.
