I am reblogging this again (tbh I wasn't going to because I don't really have the time to read right now, and usually I go out of my way to find at least a couple of new fics every time, but I do have a few recs in tally that could hit the right spot. But yeah, this list is gonna be lacking... Sorry).
First of all, I second The Legend of Liob, I don't think I've recced it before since it's technically not codywan, but it's sooo wholesome. And yes, fox-trot's research is amazing!!!
I have mentioned in our hearts some ancient song by whimsicalimages (@keensers) before, I feel like it has a place here because the lore is truly amazing. From the same post, there's the shoulder the sky series by Night Fury (@shootingstarpilot), which is ongoing (but updated regurarly!) and it has everything. (Eventually though, because it's quite long, but) there's time travel, wonderful customs and worldbuilding, a deep dive into Obi-Wan's past, and other relationships between clones and Jedi beside codywan.
Everybody Lives - But No One Makes It Out Alive by Anonymous_Radish (log in to see) - This is a Peggy Sue type time travel fic, except Cody and Obi-Wan don't really remember their past lives. 148k atm, also a WIP and truth to be told, I'm not completely up to date, but there's a lot on Mandalorian culture, the author included bits and pieces from Legends and a lot of stuff from fanon.
while the world still turns by GrayBlueGreen - 19k, Force artefact shenanigans send Cody time travelling (sort of The Time Traveller's wife style), he winds up meeting Obi-Wan at different points of his life. I don't know what else to say without spoiling it... Beautiful.
Honestly, clones embracing Mandalorian culture is a pretty common headcanon, I'd argue that it's so widespread that it's harder to pinpoint fics that don't include it at all, so you'll inevitably pick it up as you read.
Editing to add: this tumblr post by @literallyjustanerd isn't quite a social media fic, but I feel like it falls into that category: it's a spreadsheet and it's the cutest thing ever
Hiii! I hope you're having a great day 😃 I love your blog, you were one of the first I followed when I joined the Star Wars fandom last year. I've recently started reading more fanfic as well, but the vast amount is a bit overwhelming. Would you happen to have any recommendations for me? I'm open to reading anything and any/all ships. I guess I'm very interested on reading more about the clones and/or about Mandalorian culture, maybe about the clones & Jedi, or about Jedi/Mandalorian relationships (as a culture not necessarily as ships I mean). Also if you have any time travel or social media fics recommendations I always especially enjoy those. Feel free to ignore this ask entirely, or to ignore what I say and just point me towards your favourites or your recent reads or whatever you would like to share. Thank you! 💙
Hello!! Thank you!!! I hope you're having a great day too!!! I am flattered you've thought to ask me but I am perhaps not the best fit to give you fic recs haha!! I'm extremely picky and pretty much the only Star Wars fics I read are codywan- ones that are sweet (optionally also smutty), usually short, and have a very particular vibe.
I really only have one fic rec for you: come down from your mountain by @stormwarnings
Author's summary:
Fox finally settles on something close enough to all of those, but just a step to the right. “Are they usually like that? Unnerving?"
“Always,” Gree says, those eyes that never miss a single detail. “Every single one of them.”
(Seven clone commanders gathering for a drink, and their reflections on war, love, and Jedi.)
That's obviously not an adequate amount of recs so I need to outsource. Anyone reading this, please reblog or comment with a link to your favorite fic(s) that fit anon's needs!!
I know I could just send you my faves, unrelated to what you asked for, as you said I could... but it disgruntles me when I ask for recs for a specific thing I'm craving and none of the recs hit the spot so I don't want to knowingly do that to you haha
(Anon, if would like to research Mandalorian and clone lore, @fox-trot does great lore posts)
(also @ficfinder-general your help in reblogging this would be much appreciated!)

The Will of the Force - CH 15
Fandom: Star Wars Rating: Mature Pairing: Obi-Wan Kenobi/Anakin Skywalker, Obikin AO3 Masterlist
Summary: What if Obi-wan hadn’t been granted permission to train Anakin in the ways of the Force? What if Qui-Gon hadn’t perished during the battle with Darth Maul? How differently would things have turned out?
*** MY WORK IS NOT TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER SITE WITHOUT MY EXPRESS WRITTEN PERMISSION. THOUGH REBLOGS AND COMMENTS ARE SUPER LOVED AND APPRECIATED! THANKS FAM!***
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chapter 15
Cody patched up Obi-Wan in the ship's medbay. The entire time Obi-Wan hadn't moved, hadn't said a word, he wouldn't even look up from the floor. He just sat on the bed with his head down while Cody poked and prodded at all the cuts on his hands and face, not even a wince or a whimper of pain escaped his lips.
The Clone had known the Jedi for a long time now, they had fought side by side many times, and because of it he knew Obi-Wan very well, he thought sometimes he even knew him better then he knew himself. And with that came knowing Obi-Wan’s many intricacies, every inch of his personality, who he was as not only a Jedi but a human being as well. Though Obi-Wan may have been a fairly private person over the time they had known each other, Cody had come to be able to read between his lines, as best friends usually could.
“You love him,” Cody said as he worked on cleaning a particularly deep cut on one of the Jedi's knuckles.
Obi-Wan finally lifted his head to look Cody in the eyes. “I…” He sputtered, not entirely sure what to say.
Cody merely huffed a laugh. “It doesn't take a genius to see it, Obi-Wan.”
“How did you…?”
“I have known you for many years now, my friend,” Cody said, letting Obi-Wan’s hand fall back to his knee, “and in all my years with you, I have never seen you look like this.” Obi-Wan just nodded his understanding. “Did you fall for him during the mission?”
“I think… I think Anakin and I have always been fated to be together,” he answered, returning his gaze to the floor, “he was young when we first parted ways, many years ago, and though our bond wasn't able to grow with the distance that was forced between us, it has been able to blossom in our time together on Naboo.”
“And now?” Cody asked, but Obi-Wan only gave him a slight shake of his head. “Hey, you know you can tell me anything, right? Jedi code or not, I don't care. You're my friend, I want what you want, and damn the rest.”
Obi-Wan scoffed, “You sound exactly like Qui-Gon. He told me much the same before Anakin and I left the palace.”
“Smart man,” Cody nodded, then doubled back, “so tell me, after everything that happened on Naboo with your bond being able to grow, how do you feel now?”
“Now,” Obi-Wan sighed and closed his eyes, “I cannot see a life without him in it.”
“You should tell Master Qui-Gon. He has always stood by you, I can't imagine he wouldn't do the same now.”
“I intend to tell him,” Obi-Wan confirmed, “I had hoped when I received his message it was to tell me that Anakin was safe and we could go home. And once I had taken Anakin back to the palace on Naboo, I was going to tell Qui-Gon that I was leaving the Order to stay with Anakin.”
“You love him that much.”
“I do,” Obi-Wan was nearly in tears, worried that he was never going to get to have that future with Anakin now, “I have to have him back.”
“And you will.” Both Obi-Wan and Cody looked to the door where Qui-Gon was standing. He nodded to both of them as he walked over, then turned to the Clone beside him. “Cody, if I may have a moment alone with my Padawan?”
“Of course, Sir.” Cody saluted them both and left, then Obi-Wan turned to Qui-Gon.
“How much did you hear?”
“Enough,” Qui-Gon answered, and then sat on the bed beside Obi-Wan, “but even if I hadn't heard any of it, I already knew what your fate held upon your return from the Villa.”
“You… how?”
“My dear Padawan,” Qui-Gon nudged his shoulder with his own, gracing him with a small smile, “as you told Cody, you and Anakin were always fated to be together, and I can feel within the Force that this is true. You belong with Anakin, and he with you. I support any decision you make in the matter, Obi-Wan, including your leaving the Order to be with him.”
“That is if…” He sighed hard, trying to stave off the panic attack he could feel creeping up on him. “If we-”
“When, Obi-Wan, because we will get him back,” he placed a hand on Obi-Wan’s shoulder, “the Sith have not won this battle yet.”
“I just…” Obi-Wan stood and started pacing the floor in front of Qui-Gon, both of his palms dug deep into his eyes. “He should never have been taken by Maul, I should have been able to protect him, and I… I failed him!”
Obi-Wan turned and punched a fist hard into the metal wall of the ship. He didn't care about the pain it caused his already bruised and cut hands, or that it reopened his wounds and he could already see the blood soaking through the bandages. He deserved it, he'd let Anakin down, he was the reason he was lost.
“This is not your fault, Obi-Wan, you cannot blame yourself.”
“Oh, yes I can,” he turned and nodded, crossing his arms over his chest so Qui-Gon couldn't see the blood on his knuckles, “I let myself think that we were safe there, that nothing was going to happen. I completely dropped all of my shields and let the Sith walk right in the front door and take Anakin. I should have sensed him coming.”
“None of us sensed them,” Qui-Gon shook his head, “the Sith infiltrated the Senate, were seated amongst us for years without a single member of the Order sensing so much as a blip within the Force. You couldn't have known, even Master Yoda was fooled.”
“The Senate?” Obi-Wan stopped his pacing and turned to Qui-Gon. He had been so focused on everything that happened on Naboo that he hadn't even stopped to wonder how it had all come to pass. “What happened with the Senate?”
“When I told you of my suspicions that the Sith were somehow involved, I never envisioned that it would have gone as far as it had,” he started, “Padmé and I worked with the Council to try and lure out the mole we suspected was planted within the Senate and working with the Sith, and once we had, we had planned to hand them over to the Council for their fate to be decided. But as it turned out the mole we were searching for was actually a Sith Lord, and that Sith Lord turned out to be the Chancellor himself.”
“Palpatine?!” Obi-Wan exclaimed with wide eyes. “He is a Sith Lord? But he's been a close advisor to the Queen for years! She trusted him, Anakin trusted him!”
“We all did, and he deceived us all.”
“Why didn't he just take Anakin any of the times he was alone with him on Naboo? Why go through all of this and send bounty hunters after him, why infiltrate the Senate?” He started up his pacing again and shook his head.
“Clear your mind and think, Obi-Wan,” Qui-Gon said as he stood and crossed his arms over his chest. Obi-Wan was ever jealous of his ability to remain as calm as he always did, even in the most dire of situations. “He is a Sith Lord, Maul is his Apprentice. Whatever they are planning surely has many intricate webs weaved farther into the Senate and the Order then we will ever be able to understand. To take Anakin so openly would have been foolish, it would have outed them much sooner than Padmé and I managed to do. It was too risky a move, that is why he hired the bounty hunters to secure Anakin for him, only they failed so he had Maul do it in their place. Surely they would have liked their identities to have remained secret, but we disrupted that, and now Palpatine’s influence over the Senate and the Order is no more.”
“You're right. Of course you're right, it would have made no sense to out himself so easily. And he may have possibly been trying to win Anakin over all those years. If he'd planned to use Anakin all along then getting him to comply willingly would have been an easier path, but thank the Force he took after Padmé.” He ran a hand down his tired face and stopped to rub at his beard in thought. “But how did they even find us? Did you inform the Chancellor of our plans to hide Anakin before you discovered his identity as a Sith Lord?”
Qui-Gon shook his head, sorrow flashing in his eyes, “Palpatine needs Anakin for whatever it is he is planning, and he knew that there would only be a limited number of people who knew where the Prince would be hiding. He also knew there was no way he would be able to get to myself or Padmé easily.”
“... Gregar.” Obi-Wan sighed and dropped himself hard into the chair behind him, facing Qui-Gon on the bed. He had just realized that Gregar was not on the ship, and when it came to Anakin's safety and rescue, he would have been the first one on the ship and ready to take down the Sith. But since he wasn't here it could only mean one thing.
“Palpatine lured him into a trap,” Qui-Gon explained, “Maul tortured him and used the Force to extract your location from his weakened mind. Gregar died trying to keep your secret, trying to keep both you and Anakin safe.”
“Anakin will be devastated,” Obi-Wan said and leaned forward, resting his face in his hands, “he was close with Gregar. He was a good man, he didn't deserve this.”
“No, he didn't,” Qui-Gon agreed, then reached out to place a hand on his knee, “so let us ensure that his sacrifice was not in vain.”
Obi-Wan lifted his head from his hands with a new found determination, his chest heaving with the rage he could feel building within him. “Maul will pay for what he did to Gregar, and I will personally make sure they both pay for taking my Anakin away from me.”
The doors to the room opened and Cody rushed in, both of them turning to him. “We may have a lead!”
~~~~~~~~~~~
Maul landed his ship on the dark barren plains of the planet Sidious had given him the coordinates to. He stepped out, his cloak billowing behind him as a snapping wind barrelled through the open space he walked, between his ship and the magnificent Citadel before him. As he walked he looked over the top of the Citadel to the swirling cyclone planted there. Lightning crashed down around them from the centre of the storm, lighting up the walkway in a furious flash of blue along with the figure who stood waiting for him.
“My Lord,” he bowed deep, then stood again, “what is this planet?”
“Welcome to the home of the Sith, my Apprentice,” Sidious raised his arms, the thunder and lightning crashing around them in seemingly perfect synchronicity with the Dark Lord, “this is where we will enact our plan, this is where we will bring the dark side to the height of its power and swallow what light there is left in the Galaxy.”
Maul closed his eyes and breathed in deeply, exhaling long and slow. “The darkness is strong here, I can feel it.”
“Yes, my Apprentice,” he then eyed Anakin behind Maul, still unconscious and still being dragged toward them by the Droids, and his mouth turned up into a sickening grin, “and with the added power of Skywalker’s strong connection to the Force, we will surely be unstoppable.”
Maul matched his grin, his hideous yellow teeth reflecting the blue glow of each thrash of lightning.
“Take him inside the Citadel,” he turned and started walking with Maul and Anakin on his heels, “once he wakes up, willing or not, he will be the downfall of the Republic and the beginning of the rise of the Empire.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Anakin woke with a raging headache. He felt sluggish and tired, like he was in a haze. As he slowly came to and opened his eyes, fighting hard against his heavy eyelids, he felt his heart rate instantly skyrocket. He didn't recognize where he was, and he was being held up in the air with his arms and legs stretched out, the energy bonds holding him tightly in place despite the beginnings of his struggling. But the thing that terrified him the most was that Obi-Wan was nowhere to be found, and he couldn't feel him through the bond anymore.
He could feel the dried blood on his cheek crack when he grunted, trying to break the bonds pinching his wrists and ankles with no success, and he could see that his right eye was swollen and probably black. He looked around him in search of Obi-Wan, desperate to at the very least feel him through the bond, but he couldn't find him, couldn't hear him, couldn't sense him at all, and it terrified him that something horrible had happened.
The last thing he remembered was being attacked in their room back at the Villa. He had been dressing so he could join Obi-Wan while they listened to Master Qui-Gon’s message together, but before he even made it there he was faced with the terrifying sight of a man. He had red and black skin, glowing yellow eyes, and he was sure there were horns, like a crown atop his head. He had to have been a Sith Lord. Anakin didn't know much about the Force yet, but with what little he did understand thanks to Obi-Wan’s teachings, he knew the feeling that surrounded him when he was met with the man could have only meant one thing. That man was connected to the dark side, and he must be the reason why he was here in this place right now instead of back at the Villa with Obi-Wan where he belonged.
“You're awake.” Doors opened to Anakin's left and two figures walked toward him. The first was completely covered by his cloak and oversized hood, but the second he recognized instantly, how could he not remember those red and black markings, they would surely haunt him for years to come. If he made it out of this, that is.
“Where am I?” He growled, trying his best to not sound as terrified as he actually was.
“You are on the Sith home world, in our Citadel,” the cloaked one said, and his voice seemed almost… familiar to Anakin, but that couldn't be. How could he have come across a Sith Lord in his past and not have known? “Can’t you feel the darkness? Embrace it, embrace the power that thrives here.”
“No,” he forced out. And though he didn't want to admit it, he could feel the darkness here, he’d felt it the second he woke up, creeping around him and trying to burrow beneath his skin, wanting to claim him. But he would have no part in it. Obi-Wan had warned him of the dark side of the Force during their training, and had told him of the dangers and the deviousness of it. He would be disappointed in him if he let the dark side in, and he never wanted to disappoint him. Obi-Wan was pure radiance, his lighthouse in the darkness, and Anakin would never stray, not while he had Obi-Wan to always guide him back to shore. “I will never let the dark side in.”
“You will, willingly or otherwise, it will claim you.”
That voice, though distorted and slightly muffled under the large hood, he was still sure he'd heard it before. “You can try all you want, but you won't win, I will never stop fighting the dark side.”
“As resilient as ever you remain, I see.”
Anakin tilted his head at that remark. “Do you… who are you? Why don't you stop hiding behind that hood and face me like a real man! Or are you too much of a coward to show your face?”
“My boy, I must say I am a bit disappointed you didn't recognize my voice. But I shall grant your wish just this once.”
As soon as the Sith Lord removed his hood and Anakin finally laid eyes on the familiar face, he felt the anger rise within him instantly and he struggled against the bonds once again. “You!” He shouted, his face contorted with rage. “How could you be a Sith Lord!? You've been a trusted ally to us for years! Padmé trusted you, I trusted you! You were like family to us, how could you do this?!”
“The moment Padmé brought you into the palace I instantly felt the strength of the Force within you and I knew, even if you weren't trained by the Jedi, that you were exactly what I needed to take them down,” he sneered, enraging Anakin even more.
“So you lied! Everything you did for us, all the time we spent together, getting Padmé to help you rise up to become the Chancellor of the Senate, it was all just a dirty trick to get close to me!”
“Exactly right, my dear boy. But then that… Jedi!” He spat, his face darkening as he stalked closer to Anakin. “If my bounty hunters hadn't failed me on Nesperrow, if they had done their research and knew you weren't on that ship and attacked it for no reason, then that Jedi would have never barged in and taken you away! But it matters not now, it took a little longer than planed, but now I finally have you and I can begin my take down of the entire Jedi Order.”
“I won't help you!” Anakin screamed, “I will not help you destroy the Jedi!”
“My boy, I don't need you to comply, i will force you to surrender to the dark side eventually,” he said, and was now just a few inches away from where Anakin was being held up by the energy bonds, “I only needed you to be here, I can do the rest myself.”
“I'm stronger than you think, I'm not the little boy you remember from your time spent with us on Naboo, I will resist you.”
Palpatine shrugged, seemingly not worried about Anakin's resistance at all. “You can try, my boy, but the dark side is much stronger than you think you are. Here, have a taste!”
Strands of lightning shot out from Palpatine's hands and hit Anakin hard in the chest, shooting throughout his entire body. He tossed his head back, a grunted groan of pain escaping him, mixed with the sick cackle coming from Palpatine. He was enjoying this, enjoying watching Anakin suffer, and enjoying being the one to torture him.
When he let Anakin go his body lulled forward, the energy bonds digging deeper into the skin around his wrists and ankles, his breath coming out in heaved gasps. “You'll pay for this. When Obi-Wan gets his hands on you-”
“Obi-Wan?!” He cut him off with another menacing laugh. “You think I'm worried about that second rate Jedi?”
“You should be,” he panted, “when he sees what you've done to me, he'll destroy you and stop whatever plan you have to take down the Jedi.”
Palpatine leaned in close, tilting his head up to leer at Anakin. “Why would I worry about a dead man?”
Anakin's heart sank to his feet. It couldn't be, Obi-Wan couldn't be… “No…” He whispered, tears instantly welling in his eyes, “No, he's not…”
“He is, dear boy, his body rots in the shattered remains of your perfect little hideaway.” Anakin could only shake his head, he didn't want to believe this, he didn't want to accept that Obi-Wan was dead, that the man he loved was gone. But he still couldn't feel him in the bond, and now the tears were flowing freely down his cheeks. “But not to worry, you will soon be seeing him again. Once I'm finished with you, I will personally reunite you with your beloved Jedi.”
The two Sith Lords turned and walked back the way they came, leaving Anakin to wallow in the devastation of his loss. Once they were gone and the echoes of their steps had ebbed, the only thing that could be heard in the room was the devastating cries of Anakin's pain.
Star Wars Fic Recs Take 5
[first fic rec list] [second fic rec list] [third fic rec list] [fourth fic rec list]
Hope you're having a lovely day, friends! Here, take some more fic recs to make it even better!
Infinite Sadness (what does your heart tell you?) by @the-last-kenobi (gen, one-shot, 12.5k words) This fic definitely lives up to its title, not just in what happens to Obi-Wan, but in the sheer, pervasive sadness and desperation and subtle despair that plagues him as he lives life after life over and over again, trying to make things better each time. But it's not a flashy despair, it's muted and ongoing and never over-the-top, and well, it's infinite sadness. I definitely think this fic is slept on, it's absolutely amazing and I highly encourage you to check it out.
How Qui-Gon Accidentally Adopted a Baby by @the-last-kenobi (gen, WIP, 18/? chapters, 26.6k words) Oh, did the first fic on this list make you sad? I have the perfect remedy: another fic by @the-last-kenobi! To say that this fic brings me immense joy is an understatement. This fic makes me smile when nothing else will. You get the premise from the title, and I'll admit it may look a little crack-fic-y based on that, but the sheer cuteness of this fic and the quality of the prose elevates it beyond anything else. I'm not even kidding, this fic makes me want to have kids, that's how adorable baby Obi-Wan is in this.
The When Duty Is Done series by thosenearandfarwars (Obi-Wan/Cody, incomplete, 14/? parts, 90k words) I recommended the first story in this series way back in my third fic rec list, and it's only gotten better since then. I really like this series because it imagines -- well, I don't want to just say an ideal post-ROTS universe, because that implies that things are just magically all better, but I think it's a realistic ideal post-ROTS universe. The Jedi Order reforms itself, the clones get reparations and the ability to govern themselves, Anakin doesn't join Palpatine, etc. Through it all is an absolutely wonderful story about two people and their love for each other. It's just lovely.
Fire to ash, present to past (who knows for tomorrow?) by blueberrywizard (Obi-Wan/Cody, one-shot, 11.6k words) One day, Qui-Gon's apprentice completely changes. Or at least, that's how it seems to Qui-Gon, who has no idea that his Padawan is actually now a much older version trapped in this young body. This fic is told from many different points of view and I really like the prose. Definitely one that sticks with you.
|nothing quite like this| by littlekaracan (gen, one-shot, 6.6k words) Don't read this unless you want to feel like your heart has been ripped to pieces. This fic is a piece of experimental fiction, framed as a class reading for Jedi students in the future who are learning about the Purge. It's just devastating, truly devastating. Even though it features no characters we'd be familiar with, you just get so drawn into the world of this Purge survivor, and hearing their experiences is brutal.
In The Afterman, Solitude by kanerallels (gen, one-shot, 2.2k words, Obi-Wan & Quinlan) Obi-Wan is in a cantina on Tatooine after ROTS and runs into Quinlan Vos. What follows reminds him that he's not alone in the galaxy, not like he thought he was. I really like the progression of this fic, how real it seems to the characters. Obi-Wan doesn't just immediately blurt out what happened, and Quinlan is much more subtle than he usually is in fic. I really enjoyed this one.
Ghost Company by existentialAF (Obi-Wan/Cody, one-shot, 2.2k words) Cody's chip gets removed and he makes it his mission to find Obi-Wan and help him in the way he couldn't when Order 66 went down. A fascinating and touching AU of what could have happened post-ROTS if things had gone a little differently. I'd absolutely love to see more in this 'verse but it is a one-shot so I'll be content with what we're given!
The Morning Star series by Kurenaino (4 parts, 1.7 million words, incomplete) I first read this series back in November of 2020 and it has lived in my head rent free ever since then. I'm not kidding, I have to limit myself to only rereading this every couple of months so that it doesn't become too much of a good thing -- and make no mistake, I do reread it every few months, all 1.7 million words of it. To make what is clearly a very long story short, this series charts Obi-Wan's fall to the Dark side post-Naboo and follows him throughout the entire Star Wars saga (TPM, AOTC, Clone Wars, ROTS, Rebels, etc.) I feel like that description doesn't do it justice, though. The sheer breadth of this series takes my breath away. It feels expansive in a way that no fic I've ever read before has, oscillating from large-scale politics to heart-pounding action to sweet and tender love, both romantic and familial. (Oh, and this might be obvious from the whole "Sith Obi-Wan" thing, but just a warning that in these stories, Obi-Wan does some absolutely despicable things, just because he can. Murder, rape, mind control, etc, so take care.) But though he's Sith, he's still got such a heart in him, just like the Obi-Wan we know and love, and you can't help but feel for him at times. And this might not be as much a selling point for you as it was for me, but this series has some absolutely fantastic Thrawn content. He's going toe-to-toe with Obi-Wan and it's glorious, a true match. I'm in the middle of my latest reread of this series, and truly it just makes me so happy. I never see anyone talking about this series and I'm sad it doesn't get the attention it deserves. It really only gets better and better the further into the series you get. Cannot recommend enough!!
There is no Ignorance, there is Knowledge by @sirikenobi12 (gen, one-shot, 4.1k words) A wonderful installment for Jedi June! This fic follows Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, and then Obi-Wan and Anakin and Ahsoka, as they teach and learn lessons on what knowledge means to them. It was an unexpected tearjerker for me, there's one scene in particular that makes me tremble just thinking about it. I just love the way each relationship is portrayed here, and the care that is put into every word. Amazing!
Keeper of the Force by @pandora15 (gen, WIP, 19/20 chapters, 84.4k words) I can't believe I haven't put this on a rec list before, but since there's only the epilogue left, now is the perfect time. This fic starts out small-scale Obi-Wan whump (not saying that in a derogatory way, that's my exact favorite thing) and grows in size as it goes to eventually become a ROTS AU that is oh so good. It's touching, and inspiring, and lovely, and every time a new chapter posts I drop everything to read it. Can't believe the end of this ride is almost upon us!!
No Matter Where You Go, I Will Find You. part 3
Hi everyone! We have made it to Part 3! Thank you for coming on this wonderful journey with me. I have at least 6 chapters already written and the story will be longer than that. I appreciate all of your love and reblogs and everything you say about it. Seriously, I love you all. Also, I am toying with the idea of a Bad Batch x reader story AU. Let me know if there is any want for that. Thanks!!!
As always:
This will eventually be a 18+ older fic and will deal with anxiety, death, sex, PTSD, murder, loss, found family, Order 66, and coming to terms. This is not just a fluff fic. It will very much be dealing with very dark and hard themes, so please, if that is something that can be too hard for you, don’t read.
Pairings: Rex x Reader x Cody (polyamory) I should say this is NOT a Rex x Cody fic. There will be ZERO Clonecest on this blog or story. Reader is a consensual relationship with Rex and with Cody. Yes they share, yes they will eventually have sex together, but Cody and Rex are NOT in a relationship nor will they be intimate.
Rating: 18+
TW: Death, Murder, infanticide, death of the Jedi, PTSD, Loss, Anxiety, eating disorders, sleep disorders, Order 66. I will add other things as I think about them
Part 3: Again
It had taken you longer to get to Hondo than you would have liked. But, of course he had to be by some out of the way planet, forgotten by most. You pride yourself on your extensive knowledge of the planetary systems, knowing obscure things that even had Master Yoda chuckling with delight. But this place? You had no idea where it was. It never showed up on any star chart and quite frankly you were fairly certain he gave you incorrect coordinates. But, still, you went there to meet him. You had to laugh to yourself when you saw his ship waiting for you, floating in the dead of space. Hondo was telling the truth.
"Kriffing pirates," you mumbled to no one, chuckling as you started preparing your ship to dock with his. No matter how many star charts you studied, how many space lanes you memorized, he would always know more obscure things than you.
As you finished the docking sequence and began to enter his ship, you mulled over what he would want to show you. Something he was either desperate to have or knew you would want immediately. Something he wouldn’t risk saying over a commed link, even if it was secure. Honestly if this was another wild goose chase he put you on for something he could find at any market stall on any of the core planets...well you wouldn’t do anything except grumble while you went and got it. You should hate the power Hondo had over you, but you didn’t. He never did anything to you out of ill will or because he could. Hondo was just eccentric.
‘But…,’you couldn’t help think. But what if? What if? What if he finally found something you truly needed?
Could it finally be Cody’s helm? Or could it be a piece of Rex? You knew in your heart it wasn’t either of those, it never was, but still you hoped. Still you held on and asked the Force to give you just this one win. Just this once, let you have something of Rex. Anything would do. A pauldron, his Kama, a piece off of his belt, something, anything. You just wanted some piece of him to hold onto. You missed him so much. You missed them both, but where Cody could be hard and demanding and strict, Rex was soft and loving. He would hold your fingers in secret where Cody would just stand. Rex would let his hand linger on your shoulder a few seconds longer than need be, while Cody would just grunt in acknowledgement. Rex would praise you after training; Cody would demand perfection, pushing you harder than Obi-Wan ever would. But when he would show you his love, Cody would love with the brilliance of a burning sun.
Hondo waved at you from the otherside of his door, giving you a flourished bow before opening the airlock. But as you walked in, your mind wandered, thinking to your lovers.
You missed them both so much and you could use a few of their pep-talks, especially now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Obi-Wan and Anakin stood on the Training Observation Deck of the Negotiator, watching their Padawans work through a strenuous series of obstacles and training droids.
Cody and Rex stood on the sides of their respective Generals, watching as well.
Ashoka did well, flipping, moving, and swinging her saber with ease. Each of her targets went down with raw power, showing how strong she was getting. You, on the other hand, were tired and sore and not moving as quickly as you usually do. But, that was because Ashoka just came back off a week's leave from Coruscant and you had recently gotten shipside from a long and drawn out campaign with Foxtrot Group. You were exhausted when she was refreshed. But that didn't mean you could slack off in your training. You had to be stronger, you had to be better. You were Jedi, you would not fail.
Ashoka finished the trial a few seconds before you did, landing at the finish line on one foot. Just as you were about to execute your final flip, the training block shifted underneath you, causing your foot to slip. Before you could right yourself, a stun bolt hit you square in the back, knocking you down. You landed on the ground with a hard and loud thud, ending the exercise.
Obi-Wan watched as Ashoka went to help you up, feeling guilty for having you train. He knew you were tired and drained, but you had insisted on working with the other Padawan. He should have put his foot down and told you to get some sleep. But he didn't and here you all were.
Anakin walked forward to the console and stopped the exercise, reseting it.
"Good job Snips, finally getting that barrel flip down.” He called over the comm. “Thank you, Master.”
You were standing behind Ashoka as she spoke to her Master, dusting off your robes and massaging your neck, disappointed in yourself. You should have sensed that bolt coming, you should have been able to right yourself and finish the test. You stood there, mentally berating yourself so much that you didn't realize Obi-Wan had started to address you.
"It's alright Young One, you did excellent, but I fear your exhaustion has hindered your training for today. Why don't you go and eat and get some much needed rest and we can revisit this at a later time."
Obi-Wan, ever the loving caretaker, cursed himself for even allowing you to work in your state. You could have gotten seriously injured and where would that have put you? He knew in all honesty you should be in the medbay getting checked out and possibly doing a little time in a bacta tank.
But, Marshal Commander Cody thought differently. Ever the perfectionist, he would not accept this as the end of your session. With his bucket under his left arm, he walked up to the console and pressed the comm, calling you.
"No Jed'ika. Start over."
You looked up into the window of the viewing deck and saw him staring at you, eyes hard. The others looked on in mild concern and irritation. Obi-Wan was about to chastise his second, when he noticed you move to the beginning and prepare for another assault. You knew he was right, he always was. You could do better, you should be doing better, but you let your exhaustion lie to you. You weren’t so tired that you couldn’t finish this level. You’ve done this countless times, late in the evening, with Cody at your side. There was absolutely no reason you couldn’t finish it now.
Cody looked back to his General for a split second, as if looking for permission, before restarting the training exercise. This time, as you went though the course, you only made it halfway before failing again. There was a trick shot the training droids took that you weren’t prepared for and you took another bolt to your upper thigh. You were going to have an ugly bruise in a few hours.
Gingerly you stood, favoring your leg for a few seconds before shaking it off. Just another color added to your already mottled and scarred skin.
As you went to stand, you saw the course reset once more and heard Cody’s voice over the comms, “Again.”
Rex didn’t like this, but he knew what Cody was doing. He knew if you were just pushed harder, if you were taken to your limit, you would not fail. He also knew that if you left the course without succeeding you would beat yourself up for days, feeling weak and useless. Rex didn’t like it, but he agreed. Obi-Wan watched on, focusing on your resilience and strength in the Force, humbled by his young Padawan. Anakin, on the other hand, didn’t like what was happening and felt that the Commander of the 212th was being too careless with your safety. This went on for some time, Cody would call for you to restart, you would fail, you would get up, and he would call again. Over and over and over.
Finally, after what seemed like hours, Anakin had enough. “This is absurd! She’s clearly tired and needs rest. Hells, she needs time in the Medbay!” He walked up to the console and used his shoulder to push Cody out of the way, calling to you, “Padawan, you’re done now. Go straight to the Medbay. I want Kix to look you over.” He turned to Rex, “See she gets there, I don’t trust the Commander at the moment.”
Ashoka looked visibly uncomfortable from where she stood on the viewing deck and gazed up at Obi-Wan for any kind of reaction. He said nothing, just watching his Padawan try to get up off of the mat while pulling at the hairs in his beard. Before he could give the order for Cody to help take you to the medbay, Cody unceremoniously stomped over to the lift door and went down into the training room. They watched as he approached you and pulled you up, speaking harshly in a hushed tone to you.
You watched as Cody barreled towards you and crouched down at your eyelevel to look at you sternly. “Get up, Jed’ika. Get up. You don’t have time to wallow in your self pity. You don’t have time to lay here. You don’t have time to fail! Get up!” You listened to his words and tried to stand, but your knee where you had just taken a bolt gave out and you fell. Cody wrapped his hand around your bicep firmly and pulled you up.
“Each time you fail, another one of your men dies! You get up and you do it again! Each failure is another soldiers life gone! The men you swore to protect! Get up!” You nodded and stood on your own feet, albeit wearily. He was right. “You are a Jedi. You are not some clanker who falls over with the slightest push. You are better than this! You are better than your failure. You are Jedi. Do better. What is it that you’re always quoting from General Yoda? There is no try. You either do it, or you fail. And I do not accept failure! AGAIN.” Once he knew you were on stable legs, he stalked off to the sideline and prepared to yell at you more as you went through the program.
“Master, this is ridiculous! Cody has lost his mind! She’s too tired and needs medical attention.” Anakin was almost shaking; he was so upset. Who did Cody think he was? You were going to get seriously injured if you continued on. You needed rest and bacta, not constant berating and training. This wasn’t the way one taught a Padawan. This wasn’t the way Obi-Wan taught him.
Obi-Wan quirked an eyebrow at Anakin and breathed loudly out his nose, removing his hand from his beard. “Yes, I do believe you are right, Anakin. It seems I have let this get out of hand.” He stood closer to the control panel, hand hovering over the comms, but instead of turning off the program, he restarted it and turned it to a higher level of intensity. Anakin balked.
“Master! She’s going to get killed!” Ashoka cried out, looked to her Master and back to Obi-Wan, a strange feeling of anxiety sitting in her throat. It seemed through all the arguing and annoyances the Jedi were currently engaged in, they forgot about the Captain standing there, bucket under his arm, watching his brother and his Jed’ika. In his mind he kept a chant of ‘Come on, come on, you can do this.’ Over and over he thought, urging you to finish it. He wanted nothing more than in that moment to run down there and do as Cody was doing. He wanted to push you further, to push you to where he knew you could go. But he couldn’t, he was made to stand at ease and watch everything from the viewing deck. But, everything in him was down there on the mat with you, his most beloved, urging you to be better. The only thing on his mind was watching you finish this training exercise, going to your quarters to help you bathe, wrap your wounds, and finally making sure you ate a good meal. If he knew his brother, which he did, Cody was thinking the same thing.
You stood at the beginning once more and took a deep breath, hearing the mechanical beep signaling the beginning of the exercise. ‘Do better,’ you thought, before starting. You moved quickly through, dodging each blast, flipping and jumping higher and higher onto different ledges, using your saber to volley away bolts you could not dodge on your own, until you got to the point where you kept failing. Through the course, you could hear Cody yelling at you to keep going, keep moving, to not stop. You could hear him demanding excellence from you, he wanted more than what you thought you could give. He wanted perfection. It pushed you to go further, to work harder, to be better. You wouldn't fail your men and you wouldn't fail Cody. You dug deep into yourself and thought back to the training your former Master gave you, to that harsh and dangerous form. You could do it, you just had to concentrate. If you could find your center, you could toe that line made of shadows while still holding onto the light. You breathed deep, ‘allow your emotions to guide your strikes...feel that bubbling of anger and frustration, grab onto it to push you further. But do not give in. Just use it to fuel your power.’ Your old Master’s voice rang in your head, their training at the forefront of your mind. Multiple bolts fired at once, but instead of one landing a hit, you switched into Form VII, into Juyo. The most difficult saber form, Juyo was dark and dangerous, only used by those skillful Masters equipped with the knowledge of what it means to touch the Darkside and still stand in the Light. Used by your old Master.. taught to you by them in the shadows of Malachor… You shook your muscles out before jumping up against a wall structure, running its length with ease as more bolts were blocked. As you reached its end, you bounced over to the other wall and repeated the pattern, running and blocking, before twisting up onto its ledge. You stood, saber drawn across your body, balancing on the balls of your left foot as your right sat crossed on your thigh. You waited, breathing in and feeling the pulse of the machines across the Force.
THERE.
You flipped up, saber swinging around you in a figure eight, blocking each bolt back, volleying them towards the mechanical guns that sprang from the walls.
You landed once more in your previous spot before swan diving to the ground, landing with practiced grace and ease at the end, having finally completed the exercise. “Kark yeah!” Cody grunted, quickly walking to you. You had a tired smile on your face when he reached you. He reached out to grab your shoulder, squeezing it gently, before letting his hand fall away just as quickly. You looked up at him with adoration.
“I knew you could do it, Cyare,” he whispered, praising you, before taking a respectful stance, remembering that you were a superior and that you both were not alone. You nodded your thanks and tried to give him a look that said, "I love you". Hopefully he understood. He did.
Cody went to get you a towel to wipe your face as the others joined you on the mat. There were praises and excitement from the other Padawan, but both Obi-Wan and Anakin shared a look; they knew those moves. Knew that stance. A dangerous form like Juyo left unchecked could cause irreparable damage. It might be time for you to study a little under Master Windu if you are to continue in that form. Either way, Obi-Wan could feel the relief and happiness rolling off you, it could wait for another day. He also noticed a few feelings not very Jedi-like, aimed at the Marshall Commander and the Jaig-eyed Captain of the 501st. He quirked an eyebrow, but still he smiled his dazzling smile at you.
Obi-Wan was so proud of you, you felt giddy. It was all you ever wanted, and you knew you had it. He was proud of you.You proved to yourself and your Master that you weren’t some weak kid playing at being a Jedi. You truly were one and no matter how tired or weary you were, you could finish what you started.
Later that evening, after getting off duty, Rex made his way to your quarters, a tray of food in hand and a few bandages in the other. He hadn't even stopped at his bunk to change out of his armor. He went straight to the mess hall and then to you, wanting to check in.
When he approached your door, he knocked once before punching in your code, knowing he'd always be welcomed in. When the door slid open, he couldn't help but smile under his helmet at the sight.
You were sitting on the edge of your desk, freshly showered, robes put away, wearing loose, grey, linen pants and a black smallshirt. Cody was also freshly showered and in clean blacks, his armor stacked neatly by your bed. He sat in your chair, positioned between your legs, wrapping scrapes and cuts from the campaign and the training from earlier in fresh bandages, rubbing bacta on your bruises, and whispering words of praise and love to you.
Beside you both were 3 trays of untouched food, waiting to be consumed; one for you, one for Cody, and one for Rex.
Rex entered, letting the door slide closed behind him, a soft smile on his lips. He placed the extra tray of food next to the others, took off his bucket, and dropped a kiss to the top of your head before heading to your small refresher. When he exited, loose towel around his waist, Cody’s head was already buried between your naked thighs.
That night you all had the best sleep in ages, you sandwiched between the two men, tangled in sheets and their limbs, finally able to be together after so long apart. None of you would trade it for the world.

Chapter 6: The Target
Last Chapter <- -> Next Chapter
Fem!OC X Crosshair
Word Count: 3246
Fic Summary:
There are benefits to owning a clone bar. Underworld lords don’t threaten you to pay for protection. Clones are great company. And the drinks taste great. However, there are also risks to owning a clone bar. Like, for example, becoming the fuck buddy of a special clone task force member so your life gets threatened when a Separatist puts out a bounty for your capture in order to use you as blackmail. Also your sleep schedule get’s wrecked. But Anya Tougt is a little more capable than an average bar owner.

32 BBY. It’s going to be boring for a while around here. Master Yoda has sent Master Jinn and his padawan on a mission to the outer rim. Those kinds of missions rarely have a return time. He told me if I don’t skip any of my classes he’ll bring back a souvenir.
“Hunter, good to see you. Good to see you all.” Cody addressed Clone Force 99 as they gathered around the holotable. They met in one of the many briefing rooms located in the barracks. A dim blue light washed over the room and made everything feel cold. Hunter stood with his arms crossed while he listened. Crosshair leaned back on his heels and kept one hand messing with the toothpick in his mouth. Tech plugged in his datapad to the table, already prepping to download the information Cody would share. Wrecker stood still, but a bored expression shared what he thought of briefings. At the press of a button, a holomap depicting Separatist space appeared above the table. “Yesterday an encrypted message was sent from this location. The Jedi want you to find out who sent that message and track them down, if possible.”
Tech tilted his head at the lack of information. “And what were the contents of that message?”
“A communication about a bounty.”
That clarification just created more questions. Before Tech could ask them, Hunter spoke up. “What do you mean track them down if possible?” The sergeant tapped the location listed on the map. “This is the border of Seperatist space. We’ve been sent in deeper before, so what’s the catch here, Commander?”
Cody scratched the back of his head. “Well, that’s where things get messy.” All of the clones watched Cody intently. Even Wrecker tilted his head as his interest piqued. “Republic records mention this moon is full of dangerous and violent creatures. The last time someone tried to settle there only a ruined camp remained.”
Crosshair pulled out his toothpick. “So you’re thinking whoever sent the message is dead?”
“It’s possible.” Cody continued. “You’ll need to report any updates as you find them to General Kenobi, he’s working here with the target to discover why a Sep would put out a bounty on them.” He tossed over communicators to each of the men. “Those will have the range and they’re already encrypted.” The clones attached the oval objects to the slot on the wrist of their armor for safe keeping. “That’s all, leave when you’re ready.”
Once Cody dismissed them, they hurriedly left the room. Tech spoke first. “Target? Who could be so important that the Jedi are protecting them from a simple bounty? Hunter, don’t you find this strange?” He picked up his pace to walk side by side with the sergeant.
Hunter’s expression remained focused as the group sped through the corridors of the military station. Tech’s questions made sense. Jedi rarely requested missions from his squad. Usually clone commanders or the senate dictated their every move. “Yeah, something about this mission is odd, Tech.” Once they reached a fork in the path, Hunter paused. “Tech,” He addressed his brother. “Before we leave I want you to learn as much as you can about the creatures that inhabit the moon. Then visit the armory, take Wrecker with you.”
“Oh, can we get some more explosives?!” Wrecker stuck his head between Tech and Hunter and looked back and forth at the two of them.
Their sergeant smirked. “Grab anything that Tech says will help.” Wrecker cheered. “Crosshair, stick with me. I want us to go over plans.” With that the group split up.
“I got news of our change in plans to the council.” Obi-Wan sat across from me in a metal chair he had dragged in from somewhere else. I sat on the only other piece of furniture in the room, a stiff bed. And I thought Jedi chambers were barren. “Right now the best we can do is dig through your history. Who you know, talk to, and spend time with.”
Stinky chased the feather toy I dragged along the ground. The toy’s bright pink feathers looked silly against the gray room. My tooka skid to a halt and hid behind Obi-Wan’s legs. He hunched down as I lightly pulled the toy up enticingly. Luckily he was never a fearful tooka, so the new location meant little to him. “And that’s a fancy way of saying I’m stuck in this room with you?” I frowned at the thought.
“You can leave the room, just not the barracks.” Obi-Wan kept a close eye on Stinky until the tooka shot out from under his seat.
I shot him a frustrated look. “And be recognized by my customers? No thanks.” Stink leaped up as I flicked the feathers towards the ceiling. He landed with a thud, toy still out of reach.
“Ah, yes well. That would be your choice then.” The jedi seemed visibly more comfortable the further my tooka got from him. While the thought amused me, I decided against pulling the toy in his direction.
“Please, it’s not much of a choice.” I groaned right as Stinky yanked the toy out of my hands. “Good catch, Stink.” He chewed the feathers triumphantly.
“I’m going to check in with the base commander,” Kenobi stood up. “I’ll grab food after, would you like me to bring you back something?”
Staying locked in this room felt like a waste of time. I weighed my options then looked at the Jedi master. “Sure, but I’ve heard horror stories about the gray stuff, so anything but that.”
“Smart call.” He laughed lightly as he walked out of the room. I waited till his footsteps faded then got to work.
Crosshair had told me about these rooms before. Technically none of his squad had ever stayed in one, but because of a bet Tech accepted from a reg he had learned why the rooms were so bare. I slid my hand along the silver walls before feeling a divot. One press later the wall opened to a thin storage unit. Two boots and nearly both arm sets were at my disposal. “I could do something with this…”
Quickly, I removed the large robe that swallowed my figure and began sliding on the armor pieces over my blacks. The boots were a little big, but a bit of wrapping around my feet fixed that issue. My overtunic hovered just above the tops of the clone boots. A large burgundy waist wrapping kept my overtunic from falling out of place. Between the overtunic and blacks on my legs was a desaturated undertunic that stopped just short of my midthigh. I stretched my right hand, getting used to the armor and glove. While I looked more like a Jedi, my face was still completely uncovered. No clothing would change the fact that clones knew my face. And clones were good with faces. “What I need is a helmet.”
Stinky meowed loudly in response.
“Right, the armory. I could sneak in and swipe a helmet there. Then no biggie, face covered.” Another meow from Stink caused me to freeze before stepping out of the small room. “We’ll solve that when we get there.” After a short pep-talk I stepped out of the room.
Good news, Obi-Wan was nowhere to be seen. Bad news, a pair of clones were walking towards me. More good news, their helmets were off and I didn’t recognize them. Hopefully that luck would continue. As I walked closer to the two clones I could overhear them chatting about the events that took place at my bar, but luckily they were rather inaccurate.
“Apparently the owner is tied up with some underworld lords.” This clone wore armor decorated with black detailing.
“No way, I heard it’s because she refuses to pay for protection.”
I smirked at the conversation. Clones shared a skill in storytelling. Rarely were those stories truly accurate. Now that I was only a few steps away from them, they turned their attention to me.
“Sir!” The pair stood at attention and saluted me.
I nodded in their direction and gave them a small salute. This was a level of responsibility I was not used to. Shivers ran down my spine at the thought. They returned to chatting, but with a new topic.
“Have you ever seen that Jedi before?” One whispered excitedly.
“Must be a new Padawan.”
Their conversation faded until I only heard my own footsteps. As often I heard about this complex, I had never actually stepped foot inside it. I had no idea where the armory would be. My best bet would be to find a door panel. From there I could download a map of the military base. With my goal in mind I started walking quickly.
All those years spent training to move quietly and here I was using those skills against clones. I shook my head at the bizarre situation and continued looking for a panel. Anytime I heard clones approaching I changed direction to keep my face hidden. Luckily there seemed to be a lot less clones than one would expect for, well, clone barracks. Knowing the rush my bar got at this time, I wasn’t exactly surprised.
“Ah! Hello friend!” I cheered quietly. Down the hall I spotted a panel I could access. After listening for footsteps and voices, I crossed the intersection and approached my salvation. However, before I could lift my hands to remove the casing, a voice surprised me.
“What are you doing?” A strong hand gripped my shoulder and turned me around.
My panic froze me as I stared face to face with a clone helmet. Dank ferrik. It was over. The peaceful life I knew, gone. I’d have to move systems and change my name. Maybe cut my hair.
“Oh, I’m sorry, Sir. Didn’t recognize you from behind.” Instantly the clone released me and awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.
“Uh…” I stood dumbfounded. Was this a clone I knew? Well, no, he couldn’t be. Otherwise he wouldn’t call me sir.
“Er, do you need any help, Sir?”
Yup, this clone didn’t recognize me. I was clear. A new plan hatched instantly. “Yes, actually. My master sent me to pick up some things from the armory but, well I’m the worst with directions and have no idea where I’m going.” Inside me, my soul shriveled. But at the moment this was my most convincing lie and the best way to get what I needed.
“Of course!” The chatty clone began walking. I kept pace. “I’m still getting used to the layout of this place myself, actually. Got shipped out a few cycles ago.”
“Really? What’s your name?” Despite my nerves I couldn’t stop myself from making small talk.
“My squad calls me Drift.” His head turned my direction. Assuming he was looking at me, I gave the clone a smile.
“I can only imagine the story behind that name, Drift.” That earned a chuckle from the shiny clone.
We rounded a corner into an empty hallway. Hopefully we were close. How much more luck would I have? “Ah yeah, that was a wild training session.” Drift guided me around one more turn before stopping. “Here you are, do you need me to wait to show you the way back to your master?”
“No, no that’s okay. If I’ve walked it I’ll remember it.” I gave him a quick salute before turning to face the large open room. He lingered for a moment before going on his way. Then I stepped in.
Boxes, crates, and shelves took up most of the space. A few rows over, two clones dressed in gray armor argued with who I could only guess was the weapons master. Immediately, I froze. I knew those skulls.
“No, I’m not giving you all of my explosives.” A clone holding a data pad pinched the bridge of his nose. “How could you possibly even need that many trip mines?”
“If you must know, we intend to create a barrier around the area we will be operating in. These mines will not only act as an offensive measure, but also as an alarm system.” An annoyed voice followed soon after the question. From my position I could only tell that he was not Crosshair. This was either Tech or Hunter.
“You can never have enough bombs.” The other one though, I knew immediately. That massive clone was Wrecker. Crosshair was not exaggerating when he had described his brother.
As the Bad Batchers defended their arguments, they closely followed the armorer while he checked crates. “You can take 15, no more.”
“What?” Wrecker gasped at the number I guessed was much lower than they wanted.
After a few moments of watching, I figured out the pattern. The weapons master was checking each crate, moving towards the door on the right side of the room. Helmets were located in the back left with the other armor pieces. None of the clones seemed to notice my entrance. I could take advantage of their loud bickering.
Swiftly, I made my way to the back of the room. No one noticed as I pulled a clone helmet off its rack. A hint of hesitation kept the helmet staring back at me between my hands. What would happen after I took this step? Flashes of disaster invaded my mind as the implications of getting involved weighed heavy on my chest. No, I wasn’t going to give up. Not this time. Finally, I pulled the helmet over my head. A wave of relief washed away the stress in my chest. My peace was short lived though, as an irritated voice boomed through the large room.
“You know what? No, you’re not getting any trip mines.” I peaked out from behind a shelf to see the reg standing with his arms folded while Wrecker loomed over him.
“What? You can’t do that!” Apparently the argument had progressed rapidly in mere minutes.
“Wrecker, calm down.” That other voice urged. From here I saw a pair of glasses on the clone’s face. That must be Tech. “Please forgive Wrecker, he didn’t mean it that way.”
“No, I think there’s a battalion about to head out that could use some extra firepower more than your squad.”
My ears had to be wrong, the weapons master wasn’t going to give them any explosives? A flashback to yesterday sent my heart running. This wasn’t going to do. Luckily the mines in question were something I was familiar with due to all my time around clones. Voices let me know that, at least for the moment, everyone was occupied. After scanning the room, I spotted an open box full of what I was looking for. On my way up to the bombs I picked up a satchel. I needed some way to carry a large amount, after all. I acted fast, filling the bag to the brim.
Footsteps retreating from the armory pulled my attention up from the crate. I watched as Tech and Wrecker left, their shoulders a little lower than before. Assuming he was alone, the reg went back to his duties inspecting equipment. Quietly, I tiptoed out down the main path. He didn’t even turn his head when I stepped past the threshold of the room.
After rounding the corner, I ran to catch up with the modified clones. My hurried footsteps caught their attention, and they both turned around. Tech narrowed his eyes at my approach, while Wrecker spotted the bag. I slowed my steps until I was standing squarely in front of the clones. An awkward moment of silence passed. Fuck, I didn’t think this through. What was I going to say? As I slid the strap off my shoulder, an idea came to mind. I handed over the bag and waited for one of them to take it. With a mischievous grin, Wrecker grabbed the strap from my hands.
“Tech! It’s the trip mines!” He excitedly whispered.
“Thank you for your help, but who are you?” Tech crossed his arms. Seeing their faces up close, I got lost in their differences. Crosshair looked different from Regs, but I had grown used to his face. Tech had a hooked nose, less sunken cheeks, and a deep widows peak. Wrecker, on the other hand, was devoid of any sharp facial features. Instead his face was blunt and covered in scars that crawled from his left ear until his white eye.
“Hello?” Tech’s voice cleared the haze over my eyes.
Right, I had to answer him. Slowly, I raised my hands and began to speak a silent language. “My name is Annie. I’m a…” Fingers froze in place as I doubted my next words. “Friend.” Even my hands could not bear to say the word. “I overheard your argument with the clone in there. Didn’t sit right with me, considering you actually have a plan requiring these.” Hopefully one of them could speak Basic Sign.
Tech’s face lit up at the different language. Quickly he lifted his hands and began signing back. “Nice to meet you Annie! My name is Tech, this is Wrecker.” As if he knew his name had been signed, the big clone began to whine.
“Noo, I can’t speak sign Tech, come on let me know what’s going on!” Wrecker shook the shoulders of his brother. A frustrated look crossed Tech’s face. Before he could speak though, I signed.
“You can speak freely, Tech. I can hear you fine. My voice is why I sign.” Lying with my hands was much easier than my vocal cords.
After a moment of thought, Tech translated for Wrecker. The excited clone grinned upon learning he could communicate more easily with me. “Thank you so much for bombs. We were going to be fucked without them.” His happiness was contagious as I felt myself grin like an idiot under the helmet. “I’m Wrecker by the way!”
“I already told her that.” Tech sighed.
“Well, how could I know that?” Wrecker asked innocently. He wasn’t wrong. Tech frowned at the rare moment of logic from his squadmate.
“Annie,” Tech turned to me. While chatting, we slowly started walking down the gray halls. “I have not seen you around here before. Are you a new padawan?” There that word was. Luckily Tech could not see my face recoil in disgust.
“Yes.” The less lies the easier I could keep track. Intent on switching the topic of conversation off of me, I asked the pair a question. “Why do you need so many bombs?”
Wrecker answered this time. “Oh! We’ve got this weird mission going behind enemy lines to track down some Separatist who put out a bounty on someone in the Republic!”
The front of my foot scuffed the ground and I propelled forward a few steps too fast before catching my balance and looking back at the clones. They stared, obviously confused and rightfully surprised that a so-called Jedi could be so clumsy. In a hurry I signed back. “Do you know who’s the target?” My hands sped through the words with a flare of stress.
“No, no we have no idea who the target is.” As I visibly relaxed Tech stepped towards me. He wasn’t as tall as Crosshair, but he was taller than me. “Why?”
A lump caught in my throat. Nothing I ever did made sense, so why start now? “That target is me.”

Hyperspace Eyes| Rex pt.2
The sequel no one asked for but seeing @simpking0 hashtags on it when reblogged it made me really happy so this goes out to that wonderful piece of toasted toast
also here's the prequel- that's what its called right-Part one Basically
Rex was left in a trance the whole mission by Y/n's comment.
The Tortuga male now with the Generals as they were at a Jedi debriefing.
Rex showed clone force 99 the barracks on the cruiser. The 501st, 513st, and the 212th looking up as they were all busy lounging around and it became increasingly quiet.
"I wasn't expecting you boys here," Cody spoke walking up giving Hunter a friendly handshake.
"Our general asked us here," Hunter responded clones already glaring at the small squad.
"General?" Cody questioned, "You're all rolling with a Jedi nowadays?"
"Please. Y/n's far from a Jedi." Crosshair responded, "more of a crackhead with a sword."
"Cross!"
Crosshair only chuckled, "whatever."
"Well it's an honor to have you boys here," Cody said his goodbye and left.
Rex leading them to their racks, "Here it is boys."
"Thanks," Hunter responded speaking for the whole group.
"And. Mind your eyes when with the general." Crosshair argued setting his helmet down on his top bunk.
"I- keep your voice down-" Rex argued quietly but it was too late.
"Well. Well. Well."
It was quiet as high-ranking troopers walked over to the group, all from the 513th.
"Captain Rex is getting it on with a General now." The Captain spoke, "do tell your brothers what we're missing."
"Its none of your bussniess Clink." Rex spoke.
"Well if it's your business. It's ours." Clink responded with a smirk, "after all we're all the same."
Rex glared at him with crossed arms.
"It's General Y/n isn't it? That Tortuga male that came in earlier?" Clink spoke elbowing his boys, Rex's glare hardened, "Listen, boys! Captain Rex! Is into men! Oh please gonna put a dress on for us?!"
That caught a lot of attention in the large barrack, as the men behind him laughed, well all of them except one, he kept quiet looking at them in empathy, he's been through the same.
Clone force 99 in anger as Wrecker started to get up but Rex forced him back down gesturing to the man behind the group of clones.
"Come on Rex- is he at least good in bed-"
"I wouldn't know." Y/n spoke, "and neither would Captain Rex."
It went silent as Y/n found a spot to stand next to Clinker.
"Oh. Sorry, was this not about me? I heard General Y/n so I figured It must be important." Y/n smiled as it continued to be silent, "well? No? Captain Rex? Sergeant?"
Hunter and Rex looked at one another.
"Everything's fine General," Hunter spoke leaning against the pole of the bunk as Rex nodded.
"Much in Agreement here General," Rex responded.
Y/n smiled nodding looking beside him, "Oh. Captain Clinker, captain of the 513th and right hand to no one at the moment, your freshies-"
"Shinies General." Tech corrected.
"Oh yes. Shinies." Y/n smiled, as the clone captain was quiet and still in shock, "Nothing to say, Captain?"
"No sir."
"Then your dismissed."
The clones were still frozen in place, "dismissed"
The clones scrambled to leave as one clone stayed behind, "thank you, sir." He spoke quietly and followed the group of men afterward.
"Then I presume you are all settling in? I couldn't get you your own barrack as usual." Y/n told the group.
"No need General, I think we'll be fine here," Tech responded as Crosshair chuckled.
"They shit their armor." He spoke laying down on his bunk his hands under his head.
"We have a debriefing in an hour be on time." Y/n smiled, "please."
Hunter nodded as Y/n bowed his head and took his leave.
"That's our general alright!" Wrecker smiled happily.
"If it's one thing Y/n's always had it's our backs," Tech responded the boys hoping off their bunks as the group started walking to the bridge.
"You can say that again!" Wrecker responded.
"Yeah, and are you prepared to have his back?" Hunter questioned Rex.
"I have all the General's backs," Rex responded.
"Mhm. So you just casually. As the crosshair had always put it blow a back out"
Crosshair punched Tech in the shoulder silencing his brother.
Rex getting red in the face, especially his ears, "No-No! I don't like Y/n like that."
"Mhmm." Hunter hummed in sarcasm, "the only one you're able to hide it from is Y/n now- if you can last."
Rex was a silent flustered mess, who was he kidding? After that certain comment?
His eyes brown like a book that held so many stories, but yet to finish the larger story.
"Okay." Rex responded, "and- If I do like General Y/n."
"Admit if first." Hunter responded, "to yourself. Wrecker easily can and on the spot- Wrecker-"
"Huh?! Yeah, sure!" Wrecker smiled, "I love General Y/n! He's nicer than a lot of the other Generals towards us! Especially that Tarkin. He's always letting us sit with him too unless he has to be with the Jedi! He's not embarrassed by us!"
"Easy. See." Hunter responded.
"Oh please." Crosshair spoke, "getting General Y/n to return your feelings maybe 50 50. But to get past us is more of a 99 to 1."
"Don't mind Crosshair." Tech spoke, "he's just jealous because Y/n's the only one that will actually talk to him-"
"Zip it!" Crosshair argued.
"Crosshair has a point," Hunter spoke as they stopped outside the command bridge, "Break His heart-"
"We break your neck." Tech finished as they pushed past Rex, Wrecker laughing as he let a heavy hand fall onto Rex's shoulder.
"Don't worry! General Y/n's the nicest person in the galaxy!"
Wrecker went in as Rex sighed following suit as he found his way next to his General. He was distracted the whole time, Y/n across from him with Cody and Hunter on either side of him as the debriefing started.
The light blue glow from the hologram shining onto Y/n's orange rust skin, his white markings turning a light blue from the light.
His blue eyes sharpened with determination and focus as the hyperspace blue only shone brighter with the help of the hologram.
Those eyes...
Sure maybe blue like an ocean, blue like a sky, but they were more than just a simple sky blue. Sure, General Tano has similar colored eyes, a lot of people in the galaxy.
But they were just different.
"Rex-"
General Skywalker had started talking to him, was the debriefing over already? Y/n started to leave with her men as Rex watched.
"Rex!"
"Yes sir, understood sir!" Rex spoke quickly but Anakin crossed his arms.
"I haven't given you orders yet-" Anakin spoke, "what's going on?"
Rex was silent rubbing the back of his head.
"Apologies sir." Rex responded, "just a bit tired I suppose."
"Uh, huh." Anakin spoke, "walk with me, Rex."
Rex did as told, the two walking outside the bridge and down the halls.
"Rex. I fully support you," Anakin responded, "But you're going to get killed if you let this continue."
"I. Im sorry sir I don't follow-"
"You growing feels for Y/n."
Rex went silent, "There's no shame in it Rex. You're human."
"I. I don't follow." Rex responded, "Apologies sir."
Anakin frowned crossing his arms. It was quite obvious to Anakin, the feelings Rex harbored. Anakin understood to a certain extent. He has married himself and hiding such a relationship.
"Rex." Anakin spoke, "be honest. With yourself at least."
Rex kept his gaze down, seemingly fighting with himself, "I...General, Please...why would he go after a clone?"
"Is this is what this about?" Anakin asked, "being a clone? Rex- you are a man- a good man- an individual man."
"You seen them, if he ends up with any clone it won't be me. It'll be one he can actually tell diffrences from," Rex argued, "One of his boys- at least they look different. I just blend in."
Anakin frowned putting a hand on Rex's shoulder the clone's gaze still to the floor, "He may not see yourself that way."
"But I see me that way," Rex responded, Anakin's frown deepening more as Rex pulled away from Anakin, "Apologies General, I must take my leave."
Rex started to walk away, his thoughts eating at his head as he tried to clear them by walking, and walking. Walking got him nowhere at the end of the day, but an empty and alone hall. The over speaker saying the jump to hyperspace was about to be put into play shortly.
Rex stopped at the large windows. staring out into the stars, just to see that blue one more time. What was he thinking?
Rex sighed holding his face in the palm of his hand, not only didn't he blank out that whole debriefing, he had the distraction of Y/n in the back of his mind.
"Mind me taking a spot next to you?"
Rex looked up, "General Y/n-"
"No need to get excited, it's just me," Y/n spoke with a smile taking a spot close to the captain.
Rex looked back out into open space, "It's beautiful."
"Yes you are- I mean-" Rex cleared his throat, "It. It is. The uh stars."
Y/n chuckled under his breath, "You're quite beautiful yourself Captain."
Rex flushed rubbing the back of his head, "T-Thank you, General."
Y/n sat comfortable and confident in his silence, Rex between a nervous wreck and a train wreck, maybe both.
"I uh, I thought you'd be with your squad," Rex spoke.
"oh, my boys are tired," Y/n responded, "They deserve the rest,"
"So do you," Rex responded.
"I suppose so," Y/n spoke, "But I wished to watch us jump to hyperspace as I presuming you do,"
"oh uh, yes general,"
Y/n nodded curtly at him as they watched the hanger bay doors close from their window. The lights edging the hanger doors glowing as the jump was to soon happen.
Rex kept himself stiff, his mind racing, honest, be honest with himself, it couldn't be too hard. Rex took a soft breath in. Y/n sensing the calm yet chaos in that one soft breath.
Rex thought intently, he did start to harbor feelings for the male beside him, he was supported, not only by his General but by Y/n's own clone force.
Yeah, he liked Y/n. He liked Y/n! He Captain Rex, leader of the 501st, right hand to both Ashoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker! He and He alone liked Y/n! The handsome Torugata beside him and he was proud! He was proud to have a crush on y/n!
Exhaling deeply, Rex turned his head to look at Y/n.
"General."
Y/n turned his gaze away from the window, the ship ready to jump. Rex looked at Y/n, his strong facial features, and sharp markings.
He could do this! He was Rex! He was him! And Him only! No one could be him!
"General Y/n," Rex stated again.
"Yes, Rex?"
The way Y/n spoke his name sent chills down his spine, so welcoming.
"General Y/n, I-"
"jumping to hyperspace"
The galaxy went from dark to bright,
"I have feelings for you General,"
Rex refused to break eye contact, even with the beauty of the first moments of jumping to hyperspace lights cast over Y/n's form, the lighting pure and beautifully matched with his shade of orange rust skin and white marking.
"And I know, we don't know each other much, but. It's your eyes," Rex responded, unsure of what was happening as he continued his confession, they slowly coming closer as their fingertips brushed together, "they're beautiful, memorizing, I can't take my eyes off them...and, I know it means you're a good person, how hard-worked they are, how they see the world in a warm light despite being a frigid blue."
Their hands slowly interlaced as Y/n's own chest slightly bumped into Rex's armored chest.
"And your eyes," Y/n responded, Rex's hand mindlessly finding Y/n's hip as Y/ns free hand reached up to Rex's face, brushing his cheek with his knuckles, "beautiful like a book, that holds so many stories..."
Their faces neared each other, their noses, grazing against one another as Y/n had turned his head slightly eyes fluttering close.
"and the frigid blue can only be described in words, from that very book which makes him warm..."
They both pushed forward, closing there a gap between their lips, the kiss long and passionate, the need for air seemingly not part of existence as Rex squeezed Y/n's hand their fingers interlaced during the kiss.

As always drop some love, a comment, and/or a reblog, its all welcomed.
ONCE AROUND THE BLOCK
“What do they have?” Asked the commanding droid
“A cylinder of some kind” responded the droid talking into the comm at the front of the line
“Cylinder?” Questioned the tactical droid
“Not just any cylinder” She responded, before lighting her saber.
“JEDI!!”
The explosion, dust billowed everywhere, the only thing that could be seen was her saber cutting through the droid lines like they were butter. Another angle came from higher up, showing her progression, she was quick, effective.
“Commander, does she even need us?” Someone commented off screen.
“Remind me not to get on her bad side.”
“I was able to shoot one droid”
“I think I’m in love”
“I know I’m in love”
“Think I can get her to come to ‘79s”
“Commander, do you know if she’s single?
My hand clenched as the comments started turning from her abilities to what they felt, why were people declaring their love for my Commander … I mean Commander Stonn bothering me? When Cody had asked if he could ask her out, I was ready to reach through the comm and strangle him. I don’t know what came over me, especially since I knew he was only joking.
“Cut the chatter, men” Cody’s stern voice was unmistakable.
“Yes, sir!” Came the resounding acknowledgement.
The smoke settled, there was nothing left but heaps of droid trash.
“Commander, do you think she would say yes, if I proposed?”
“Shut it, Waxer.”
“Yes, sir”
Wow, she really was something. There wasn’t even an ounce of fear on her face. The recording didn’t do her any kind of justice, I can only imagine what it was like to see it live. She protected those men, she didn’t even let Cody stand beside her, she faced the entire battalion on her own.
I started thinking back to my treatment of her since she arrived on the Triumphant. I never actually welcomed her on board. Never actually gave any sort of opinion with respect to her battle plan. I didn’t even congratulate on the execution of her plan. I just stood there staring at her.
Cody said she thought I hated her, did that mean she spoke to Cody about me? Did she actually speak about me in general? When I saw her with the pendant I was irritated at the lack of military discipline. Even General Plo doesn’t have any personal effects on him when heading to battle. Then Sinker told me it was a gift from Curl, her last gift from Curl, I was glad at that moment I hadn’t actually stated regulations or made a comment towards her personal effect. I didn’t even wish her luck before she left for her ship to head down to the planet. Had I really been so horrible?
She certainly proved herself time and time again, despite my attitude, despite the snide comments I made under my breath, at times it looked like she had heard, but she never said anything. She never repaid in kind. She always made sure to treat me with respect. Even smiling whenever I had to talk with her. She respected my privacy, never forcing me to like her. Seeing her on that battlefield, just reinforced that she was a much better person than I could ever hope to be.
I knew Curl was a good man, trustworthy, and valued a good fight, no wonder he fell hard for this tiny Jedi, she was everything a good man like Curl would value in a partner. My heart began beating a little faster, this Commander was nothing like the one I had created in my head. She wasn’t cold, she didn’t lead her men into an ambush, I can’t believe I had ever thought that. She was calculating, looking at all the angles. After all, her strategy paid off, this was one of the few times where we had engaged the enemy and had no casualties, not even an injury.
I need to talk to her, I need to … I need to do better. I need to be … *sigh* I need to be the man she deserves as a Co-commander. The man she deserves.
- - - - - - -
The mess hall was fairly empty. I sat there with Strut, the shiny who had just joined the Triumphant. The planetary aide had been his first mission.
We got to know each other a little while we were talking before we headed down to the planet, he had been assigned to my team, he was eager and proven himself, the other troopers that were with us, had readily commented on his willingness to follow direction and to be of use. When we landed back on the Triumphant, I asked him to meet me in the mess hall when he was next free, with his armour, paint, and a big enough cloth to cover the table. He didn’t even question it, he showed up with his armour in a bag, it was adorable to see how nervous he was, unsure as to what was going to happen.
We took our time and laid out the cloth on the table, followed by every piece of his armour before the both of us. Many in the mess hall had stopped and looked at what we were doing.
“Strut, in my old squad we had a tradition, the Commander and I would clean all our teams’ armour and repaint any damage done, after every mission, it was a way to care for my brothers, taking some of the stress and weight off their shoulders. Since this is your first battle, I would like to help paint your armour, if that’s okay? As a way to commemorate your achievement.”
Strut didn’t know what to say, some of the other troopers heard my statement, some looked shocked, others had an expression on their face I couldn’t quite read, a small few looked annoyed.
“Commander, I would be honoured. Thank you.”
His smile radiated from ear to ear, and I couldn’t help but reciprocate, he was just a newbie, but he's proven himself, he listened to commands, and even made sure his brothers were okay at the end, that needed to be celebrated, especially when so many often don’t come back. Silently we both picked up our brushes, and began painting his armour, I was almost done with his left shin guard, when heavy footsteps came up beside us.
“What are you doing?” Came the gruff voice
“Painting, Commander” I answered without looking up, as soon as I sensed the Commander enter the mess hall, I felt a tingling sensation down my spine. Hmm, wonder what that could mean. Simple, that I don’t like him. Stop lying to yourself, you and I both know you think he’s quite the Commander. Yes, he’s an excellent Commander, doesn’t mean I like him as a person. Your dream says otherwise. That was … that was my subconscious. Sure it was. Sure. Although I respect Commander Wolffe, he is getting on my nerves, you know just go away. For now, I will.
Ever since we got back to the Triumphant, his scowl had deepened every time he looked at me. Even through the Force I could feel he became more hesitant around me, my patience with the man was running thin and I had no desire to actually speak or spend time with him unless absolutely necessary.
“Commander Stonn, can I speak with you?” That’s a first, usually he just starts talking without addressing me.
“What is it Commander Wolffe, as you can see I am in the middle of something”
“Please?” As soon as he said it, it hit me like a punch in the stomach. He said please. Since being around the 104th I had never heard him say please to anyone. I looked into those intense eyes, and noticed they had softened, not by much, but minuscule, they appeared less threatening, if that was possible. Even through the force, I sensed the hesitation had diminished too, and replaced it with something else, uneasiness. I just nodded and stood up.
“I’ll be back Strut, try not to finish without me” I winked at him, a small blush creeped up to his face. It was adorable.
I followed Commander Wolffe to the officer’s mess. It was supposed to be used by those of higher rank, although no one really used it. That’s one thing I noticed, the 104th liked to sit together as a family, or as their name indicated, like a wolfpack, regardless of rank.
“Commander Wolffe, is everything alright?” I inquired. I didn’t want to upset him anymore than my presence usually appeared to, I kept my tone soft, I didn’t want to challenge him, so I did my best to keep my gaze soft as well.
How is it every time she says my name, I want to let out a low growl. I’ve noticed I’ve had to catch myself several times before it was audible. What is wrong with me?
“Commander Stonn”, he took a moment to take a deep breath, and his gaze fixated on my eyes. My stomach started doing those flips again. Admit it, you like it when he looks at you like that. Not the time. You think he’s gorgeous. Really not the time. You’re in a room alone with him, take a chance. So not helping. He cleared his throat, and rubbed his neck, “I … I wanted to say thank you for looking after the men on the field.”
Oh, okay I was not expecting that.
She looks shocked. Was I really that much of a jerk to her? Of course, I was. Stop acting surprised you’re a jerk.
I think the Commander noticed my expression, his eyes softened even more, but there was something behind that tenderness, it was… guilt, he looks guilty. No. Yes. I focused on his eyes again, oh you’re right, that’s guilt. Told you.
“I know I haven’t been the most welcoming to you since you arrived” his hand flinched by his side, he moved it forward and brought it back to his side, clenching and unclenching his fist.
“I wanted to apologize for treating you less than what you deserved” okay, this really wasn't something I was expecting.
“Commander Wolffe, I …”, think woman, use those words. No don’t give in, this is an opportunity to make him sweat. I’m not going to do that. Weak. You’re weak. I’m not weak.
“Commander Stonn?”
“Sorry, Commander. Thank you for the apology. I know many of the men probably still don’t trust me, because of what happened on Kowak, and frankly I don’t blame you for being cautious with me, as well. I probably would have been too, had the shoe been on the other foot”
How is she this kind? She should be yelling at me. She should want to hit me. I never even gave her a kind word.
“Also, you don’t have to thank me for doing my duty. These men, every clone, will be like family to me. Whether they like me or not. It’s my duty regardless of how they view me, to make sure each and every one of them make it home, to see a future after the GAR.”
No wonder Curl fell for her. She’s … she’s amazing.
“All the more reason I should thank you. Not many view us as people with a future. They view us as…”
“Cannon fodder”
The Commander simply nodded to my statement.
“Since we’re actually talking, Commander, can I ask you a question?” I was pushing it, but I wanted an answer. It’s not the answer you want, it’s the reaction. Make him fall on his knees, make him beg for forgiveness. Okay, you are being very rowdy today, no one is going to be doing that.
“You can ask me anything”.
Heck she could ask me to leave the GAR and I would. WHAT?? Where did that come from?
“Why did you blame me for the death of my own men?”
“I … how … who… I never said that”
“Wolffe...”
Oh Mesh’la, you’re playing with fire. Please don’t just say my first name.
“...there’s something you should know about my species, we have exceptional hearing. For example, I can tell you right now, your men outside this room are all talking and betting on which of two outcomes will occur, either you pulled me in here to declare your undying love to me or to get it on with me.”
“WHAT!”
“Yeah, I’m surprised General Plo didn’t tell you.”
“No. I mean, yes General Plo didn’t tell me, so I apologize for the comment I made. But what are my men saying?”
“I don’t think I should tell you”
I stepped closer to her, no one will get to talk about her that way, not MY Commander. “I think you should tell me everything, mesh’la.”
Oh, that was new. You really liked how he said that. Really not helping. You gonna tell him, you understand Mando’a? Not right now.
“I’ll tell you, if you can tell me why you thought I killed my men”
“Curl contacted me before your mission, he said you had a bad feeling about it, but before he could tell me more I was called away to a meeting with General Plo. I thought you ignored your gut and went ahead with the mission. However, Sinker told me what you tried to do. I’m sorry for misjudging you.”
“Like I said Wolffe, I don’t blame you. I’ve …” I couldn’t look at him, “I blame myself. They were my family, I should have fought harder.” That’s true, it is kind of your fault. Not this again. Just an observation, you keep just saying his first name. What about Curl? Oh you really need to shut up.
“You fought as hard as you could mesh’la, it's not your fault people didn’t listen.”
“They should have” my voice was barely above a whisper.
How could I ever think she was responsible for the deaths of her own men? I reached for her upper arm, she felt warm under my hand, even through her tunic.
I didn’t want to move, his hand was comforting. Told you, you liked him. Don’t need your two credit comments.
“People don’t care if we live or die. It’s not your fault.”
“I care.”
“Curl was a lucky man”
She looked up to my eyes, no one has ever looked at me without flinching at the prosthetic, even from that first day on the bridge, she never looked at me with disgust or with fear.
“You know about Curl?”
“I think everyone knows about you and Curl.” Wolffe chuckled, he had a pleasant deep laugh. You know you want to hear it again, I say go for it. Since when are you trying to help. I’m bored.
“Plus, he was my batchmate, he told me he had fallen for a Jedi, just never told me who. I found out after he …”
“He told me just before we went on the mission, he wanted me to meet his brother, his batchmate, he just never told me who. He wanted us to meet after we got back from the mission but he …”
Wolffe simply nodded in understanding, “I’m sorry for your loss, Jirli”
“I’m sorry for your loss, Wolffe”
We stood there for a few minutes staring at each other, in that moment I vowed I would always be there for her, in any way she needed me. Even if nothing happened between us, I would lay my life for her. She’s MY Commander. My mesh’la.
As we stood there looking at each other, I couldn’t help but feel my heart flutter. At that moment, I vowed, I would always be there for him. In any way he needed me. Even if nothing happened between us, I would lay down my life for him. He was MY Commander.
“So you gonna tell me what my men are saying behind the door?”
I laughed, “Okay, but you might not like it. I’m not sure which one it is, but… hold on …” I raised a finger to my mouth, asking him to be silent, when I heard the voices from behind the door.
“I'm telling you, he’s going to declare his undying love to her”
“You’re crazy, the Commander isn’t interested in her”
“How do you know?”
“You can tell, he’s always mean to her.”
“Why are you paying attention to how he treats her?”
“I think Whiskey has a crush on Commander Stonn”
“Did you see what she did to those clankers? Of course, I have a crush on her!”
“Guys, leave them alone”
“Shut it, shiny!”
“Just because you’re her pet...”
“I’m no one’s pet, you’re just jealous she’s painting my armour.”
“I’m not jealous”
“Dude, you are so jealous!”
“Shut it, Brandy”
“Listen all I’m saying is I have dibs”
“Yeah, we get it Whiskey”
“Who has dibs?” Oh I know that voice, that’s Sinker.
“Whiskey says he has dibs on the Jedi”
“General Plo? Interesting Whiskey, but hey whatever floats your boat”
“No! Commander Stonn”
“Let me make this very clear, men. If anyone makes the Commander uncomfortable, anyone makes unwanted advances, you will have to deal with me. She fights for us unlike anyone has ever before. She looks after us like we’re family. Therefore, I expect each and everyone of you to treat her as a vod’ika.” Sinker’s voice was unwavering and protective. Awww he really loves me like a sister, that’s so sweet.
“So you’re saying, you aren’t attracted to her?”
“I’m saying, she is my vod’ika and I will make sure everyone treats her as such. Understood?”
“YES, SIR!”
Wolffe and I just looked at each other when we heard the room next door roar in understanding. I couldn’t help but laugh at what just transpired. I reiterated to the Commander all I heard, I thought it was funny, but apparently the humour was lost on him. Instead his face became gruffer if that was even possible, his fist clenched by his side.
How dare they? Dibs? Really, Whiskey? No one talks about MY Jirli like that. Alright calm down di’kut, she’s not yours.
“Follow me, mesh’la” was all he said, he pressed the button for the door to slide open.
When we entered the mess hall I noticed it had filled up while we were in the officer’s mess. All the men in the mess hall turned to look at us as the door opened, the Commander walked through first, his expression was intense. He took turns to look each and everyone of the troopers in the eye, his hands were clenched by his side.
“Do you men realize that Commander Stonn’s species has exceptional hearing?”
The room went silent, the looks on their faces was priceless, I had to bite the inside of my cheek to keep from laughing out loud.
“I’m sorry, she has what?” Whiskey asked, the redness on his face deepening.
“Her species can hear even the smallest whisper. She just told me everything you all said word for word. Let’s clear up a few things. First, I’m not declaring my undying love at this moment. Two, I did not pull Commander Stonn into the officer’s mess to ‘get with her’. Three, NO ONE calls dibs, is that understood, Whiskey?”
“Yes, sir. Sorry Commander Stonn”, Whiskey could barely look me in the eye.
“I will reiterate what Sergeant Sinker said, anyone making the Commander feel uncomfortable, anyone making an inappropriate comment or advancement, will not only have to deal with the Sergeant, you will also deal with ME! Commander Stonn has proven herself above and beyond. Do you men realize this is the first time we never lost a brother? Everyone made it back and without injury. Commander Stonn is a Wolfpack. I expect you all to treat her with the dignity that comes with. DO. I. MAKE. MYSELF. CLEAR?”
All stood straight like a ramrod, saluted the Commander and agreed in one voice “YES, SIR!”
“I expect you all to apologize to Commander Stonn. Understood?”
“Commander, that's not necessary” I interjected, “they were clearly just having fun.”
“Not that way” he grumbled.
I simply nodded, at the end of the day, my assignment with the Wolfpack was temporary, he did have to set a precedent for any other female personnel that came to the Triumphant.
“Would it be alright if I addressed the men?” I asked quietly, Wolffe didn’t even look at me, he kept his eyes on the men and gave a curt nod.
“Listen, I know you guys are all trying to figure out how I fit in. I’ll say this, some of you already know how I feel about clones, for those that don’t know you are family to me. Every clone, whether here on the Triumphant, back on Coruscant, or on Kamino, are my family. I don't expect you all to like me, or be my best friend, that’s not possible in any family. However, I will fight for each and everyone of you like my own, whether on the battlefield, in any political situation, or defending you from ignorant civilians. I will be here for each and everyone of you, till my dying breath. If you have any questions just come ask me. I’m an open book. Okay?”
Everyone just nodded, most of the men too frightened by what Commander Wolffe could possibly do.
“Oh, and one final thing, if anyone wants me to help paint or clean their armour, just come and ask me. It was a tradition with my old squad, and I would be more than happy to continue the tradition here on the Triumphant, as long as I’m here with the Wolfpack.”
I smiled to each and everyone of the men, they just needed some love, to know they had someone in their corner. Wolffe turned to look at me, the intense gaze he held on his men softened completely when he looked in my eyes. I couldn’t help but smile at him. Don’t tell me you don’t like YOUR Commander. I … Did you think I missed that little confession back there? Uh… He is very pretty, look at those eyes. Walking away now. I had to look away before my cheeks started to burn under his adoration.
“Thank you, Commander Wolffe”
Without anything further I went back to sitting at Strut’s table, everyone watched as I took my seat, picking up the brush and continued painting, as though nothing had happened. The men were feeling embarrassed enough as it is, who was I to add to their guilt?
After a few seconds everyone went back to what they were doing, eventually all the men came and offered their apology, or asked if I would be willing to paint their armour, which I heartily accepted, eventually Strut and I were left alone.
“That… I’m sorry for that” Strut said when he was sure no one else was paying attention to our table.
“It’s okay. It’s not so bad. It just can become a bit stressful at times, because I can hear everything. However, I try my best not to listen, but sometimes things are said that catch my ears, and as much as I try to tune it out, I can’t. It’s rare, but it does happen.”
Strut simply nodded, “Can I ask you something?”
“You’re not my pet, Strut. You just remind of someone, and I want to make sure you are honoured, it’s something he would have wanted.” He just looked at me, clearly that is what he was wondering. “I wanted to honour you in some way after your first time in the field, and this is all I could think of.”
“Thank you, Commander” Strut was a cutie, he was just so sweet, and reminded me so much of Copper.
Once again, I could feel the intense stare and a shift in their force signature, I knew who it was. I glanced over to Wolffe, I gave him a small smile, maybe we did get off to a wrong start, but I knew he had my back, and more importantly he trusted me.
Seeing her sitting there with the shiny, her graciousness, her dignity, her mildness, such a contradiction to my own personality. Definitely going to make sure I’m the man she deserves. For you mesh’la, I’ll try.
I didn’t even realize that my smile grew as I realized I had a new friend. Although he tried to hide it, I could see the corner of his mouth smirking too. Maybe this assignment wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Adventures in Jedi-Sitting
Okay guys, look, I’m sorry about this.
This is my first original post, so I hope you like it! This was supposed to be a response to a star wars post about a slice-of-life show (that I know I’ve reblogged before), but Tumblr just wouldn’t reblog it. And besides, it was long enough anyway, so, I made it into my own post! This is like the first thing I’ve properly, actually, physically written, so I’m sorry (and I’d really appreciate some feedback on it)! I just got into a flow, and I really think an “Adventures in Babysitting” episode would be awesome, because, who doesn’t need to see Cody and Rex dying inside over watching a bunch of little Jedi kids? It’s not very refined, and I haven’t worked out EVERY detail yet, so if you have any ideas for one of the things I’ve left vague or not really explained, feel free to comment or reblog (or message me, I don’t know how Tumblr works lol). Anyway, I hope you like it, this took me like 3-4 hours to write :)
Warning: It’s kinda long-ish. That’s it. Enjoy! :D
Okay, so it starts like this...
Anakin or Obi-wan have been assigned to look after younglings for a day, and are taking them on a “field trip” of some kind, possibly an educational one. I’m kinda thinking they’ll stay near/on Coruscant maybe? Idk. And like for some reason they bring Cody and Rex, maybe just as a safeguard or something, or as an extra pair of adults so that the two MatureTM Jedi aren’t outnumbered vastly by smol Jedi.
But then something comes up, and Anakin and Obi-wan are needed somewhere because of an emergency. They don’t want to leave the kids, but they don’t have enough time to bring the kids back to the temple. Then Cody proposes, “We could watch them, sirs.” and Obi-wan looks skeptical, as does Anakin, but Rex agrees with Cody and says, “oh go on sirs, we’ll be fine, they’re just a bunch of kids.” And Obi-wan and Anakin share a dubious look because “just a bunch of kids” with Force powers could be more of an issue than even the two most capable clones people they know can handle. And these kids are pretty young, too, but still really powerful, and there’s no back up, just the two of them. But they reassure the Jedi that they’ll be fine and it’ll be a good experience. At one point Rex is like, “Really, we’ve got this. I mean, we’ve had enough experience looking after the two of you,” and they finally get the two to give in (it was an emergency after all, so time is of the essence).
And once the Jedi are gone, the chaos fun begins.
It starts of smoothly enough, but then they can’t find one of the kids when they go to give them healthy snacks (provided by the Temple), and it all goes downhill from there. Chaos ensues, and one of the kids lifts Rex and Cody into the air, who watch helplessly as the kids start grabbing all the sugary snacks they can find and escape. Cody’s like “We... should probably call the Generals” but Rex is like “No! We can do this, besides, they’re busy.” They eventually get dropped once the kids are far enough away, and now they’re frantically looking for a little group of extremely small, Force-sensitive children, and Cody’s just like “can we call them NOW!?” and Rex is like “No! And see, there they are!” and they have to get the kids out of some tight spot, but while defending the kids they run off again and steal a speeder, and they’re all working together to drive it. They nearly get away, but Rex and Cody realize they’re gone - “Hey, where’d they go NOW?” - and manage to catch them, almost getting run over then dropped off the speeder in the process.
*cut to a battle scene with Obi-wan and Anakin fighting some droids side by side*
O: Do you think Rex and Cody are doing all right with the kids?
A: I’m sure they’re fine.
*cut back to Rex and Cody, screaming and holding onto the back of the speeder for dear life, trying not to fall off, while the kids are driving too fast the wrong way, head on into rush-hour traffic*
Cody’s like “WE SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE GENERALS!!!” and Rex is like “THIS WAS YOUR IDEA CODY! AND BESIDES, WE’RE FINE! THE GENERALS TRUSTED US SO WE HAVE TO DO THIS OURSELVES!” and Cody’s all like “THIS IS SOOO NOT FINE” but they manage to get back into the speeder. Unfortunately, Anakin picks this perfect moment to check in on Rex to see how they’re doing. Rex and Cody are panicking because “We can’t answer that NOW!” but they also can’t not answer it either, so Rex just kinda motions for Cody to take the steering away from the kids and he answers the comm.
And Anakin’s like “Hey Rex, how’s it going with the kids?” And Rex is watching Cody trying to wrestle with the steering as one of the more stubborn kids uses the Force to keep driving, and he’s like “Everything’s going great, sir.” Anakin’s like “They aren’t giving you too much trouble are they? Those ones were supposed to be a particularly rowdy bunch.” Rex nearly drops the comm while lunging to grab a kid who, now bored, is trying to climb out the sides of the speeder, and he’s like “No sir, no trouble. They’re practically perfect little angels.” Personally, Rex decides this is more stressful than some battles he’s been in, though Cody swerving the vehicle while trying to get back to the right side of traffic feels familiar enough. Anakin’s voice comes back over the comm. “Well, Obi-wan and I are just about finished here, so we’ll be on our way back as soon as we notify the locals that their Separatist problem has been dealt with.” Rex has a fresh wave of panic wash over him, but he manages a “Very good sir, can’t wait to see you.” That’s partly true, as he’s very ready to return custody of the kids to Anakin. But just as he’s responding, Cody swerves to avoid another vehicle, which honks loudly, and the kids all laugh and cheer. Anakin sounds suspicious when he asks “Rex... what was that?” And Rex just dies. “U-uh, nothing sir. Just playing a game with them sir. Uh, got another call coming in sir, sorry sir, glad the mission went, well, can’t wait to see you!” Anakin’s like “Rex-” but Rex keys off the comm and turns to Cody, who’s gotten them back in the right lane at last. “Cody, the Generals are coming back and we have NO IDEA WHAT WE”RE DOING!” Cody’s like “I TOLD you we should’ve called someone!” And Rex gets an idea. He swoops to grab another kid, then keys back on the comm and makes the call.
When they get the speeder back to wherever their starting place had been, Ahsoka’s already there, waiting by her speeder-bike. She may not be part of the Order anymore, but Rex still calls her for advice every once in a while, and even just to say hi. They park the speeder and she walks over, shaking her head. Cody’s like, “Thank you for coming to help, General,” and she can see he really means it. The kids are still in the speeder, mostly piled on Rex, who looks at her and mouths “HELP”. She grins and says, “Rex sounded desperate, and by the looks of it, you definitely needed some help. How did you two even get in this mess?” She picks up two of the kids, and Cody picks up two more, unburying Rex enough to get out to help the last three. Rex sighs and says “It’s a long story...”
So they explain to Ahsoka what they did while she shakes her head at some parts, and she helps them set the kids back in the main area of the compound where they started. “You really let them eat (insert alternative to candy here)? That’s your first mistake.” and Rex (indignantly) says “We didn’t LET them do anything! They picked us up and floated us to the ceiling and then took the stuff themselves!” and Ahsoka’s laughing, but so are Rex and Cody and they’re watching the kids playing together and they realize they seriously like these kids.
By the time they’ve finished their tale (”...then we were back here, and, well, you know the rest.”), the kids are all tired out, and Ahsoka helps tuck them into their little rest nooks in the compound’s wall. Rex is just like, “how do you do this?” and she’s like “First: I’ve dealt with younglings before, and second: they’re just kids. There IS more to life than the war. When it’s over, life’ll go back to normal.” She grins at him, and says “It’ll be fine Rex. Besides, it’ll get easier as they get older. They lose most of this chaotic energy eventually.” Rex grins back and says, “What, like you?” and they’re laughing again, but quietly because the kids are still sleeping. Rex thinks of Cut’s family, and finds himself wondering about after the war, and if he could babysit Cut’s kids... Ahsoka walks to the door and stops, looking back as Cody and Rex follow her. “I should probably get out of here before Anakin and Obi-wan get back, and besides, the owner of this speeder will probably be wanting it back. We don’t want you two getting arrested, after all.” They both thank her as she takes the speeder back to its owner, her bike attached to the side, and they both wave as she disappears from sight.
About a minute later, they hear the sounds of a small ship landing outside, and are greeted momentarily by Obi-wan and Anakin. Obi-wan looks skeptical as he enters, glancing around the main room suspiciously. “The two of you survived!” Anakin says, grinning. “We did sir,” Rex says tiredly. It’s been a very long day. “The children weren’t too much trouble, I hope?” Obi-wan asks. “Oh no sir, they were fine,” Cody replies. “They were downright peaceful, for kids. Or Jedi for that matter. Easier than taking out a row of clankers.” Obi-wan and Anakin trade a dubious look, but they thankfully don’t mention the sounds they heard over Rex’s comm. “Well, I’m glad to hear that Cody. But, um...” he trails off, and the two clones feel their hopes sinking. Here it comes, they both think. “It’s very quiet in here, and I daresay a little too quiet. Where are the children?” Obi-wan asks. He sounds a little worried, and Anakin’s grin slips a little as he realizes the same thing. Rex and Cody both relax though. Relieved, Cody replies .“They’re sleeping sir.” Obi-wan’s eyebrows go up. “Sleeping?” Cody points down the hall behind them to the room with the sleeping nooks, and the two Jedi go and poke their heads in to find 7 little Jedi, tucked in and fast asleep. Obi-wan’s smiling as he walks back to them, and he says “I don’t know how you did it, but I’m very impressed, you two.” Both Rex and Cody practically glow with that, and they both say “Thank you sir” in unison, then smile at each other. “Wow,” Anakin remarks, “you both look really worn out though.” Cody can only nod, while Rex manages a “Yes sir.” Obi-wan and Anakin look at each other, then come to a silent agreement. “Sleepover!” Anakin yells, pumping his fist. They all shush him, and he looks apologetic as he whisper-shouts “Sleepover!” Both clones fall asleep where they’re sitting within two minutes, a small “Thank you sirs” coming from both of them. They look like they’re guarding the children, and Obi-wan and Anakin think it’s a very heartwarming sight. The two Jedi bring in extra blankets and pillows from the ship, and they make their friends comfortable before falling asleep themselves, the kids still snoring in the other room.
As they disembark from the ship the next morning, tiny Jedi troublemakers swarming around their legs, Cody and Rex feel a mix of relief and regret. Relief, because they won’t have to chase them all over Coruscant anymore, having panic attacks of every kind while trying to cause as little damage as possible and protect their tiny fragile lives. Regret, because they’ll miss the little troublemakers (no matter how hard they try to convince themselves they won’t). While their Generals are speaking to the Jedi usually in charge of the children, Rex thinks about how the last 24 hours compares to following Anakin with the rest of the 501st. He was struck by how similar their adventure was to an average day with the older Jedi, following them into dangerous situations, protecting them and doing as little damage as possible, as well as cleaning up the mess afterwards. Even calling in reinforcements was a familiar move, and he found himself smiling at the thought of these tiny Jedi leading a group of clones into battle. He also found himself fervently hoping that the war was over before they had to face that, but he swore that he’d follow them into battle himself if it meant he could protect them. They all swarmed him and Cody for hugs, and they once again found themselves buried in a pile of kids, before they ran off back to the adults, calling out “Bye! Bye!” as they ran. Obi-wan and Anakin walked back towards them and boarded the ship, having finished their conversation, and Rex and Cody followed them. Rex paused at the top of the ramp though, and turned to look back. The kids were still calling out their goodbyes as they disappeared into the temple, and they waved to him. He waved back to them, and heard Anakin call “Rex!”
And as the ramp closed behind him, he knew that they would turn out to be amazing Jedi indeed.

Obi-Wan Kenobi. The great Negotiator. Renowned for not only his incredible leadership skills but also his way with words.
Now, a whimpering mess with his face pressed into his mattress.
Obi-Wan gripped at his sheets with whitened knuckles. His carefully constructed composure was thrown out the viewport as an unrelenting stream of moans and whimpers left his mouth. His elbows shook as he tried to support himself.
“Ah! Cody, ah—!”
Cody gripped Obi-Wan’s hips with a bruising pressure, grunting and growling above him. Obi-Wan lurched forward with each rough thrust, and always brought backward until Cody’s slim hips met his ass.
This was better than meditating, Obi-Wan thought. Why try making himself clear his thoughts when just the feeling of Cody’s strong, warm hands on his bare skin made all other thoughts fly out of his mind?
His elbows and knees finally gave out and he sank, panting, into his bed. Cody held his hips up in a now bruising grip, one hand reaching under to stroke Obi-Wan’s leaking cock. Oh, Force, he was so close—.
He yelped and lurched forward when he felt a slap against his ass. His hands scrabbled to grasp at a pillow, pulling it under him for support.
“Oh, that’s a new one.”
Obi-Wan turned his head to glare at his commander. Cody had exited him fully after he had surprised Obi-Wan with the slap, and he missed his fullness. “What—?”
Cody had the audacity to grin down at him. He leaned over Obi-Wan, lining the tip of his cock back up. “You know I like to hear all the sounds you make, ner jetti,” he whispered into Obi-Wan’s ear and entered him in one smooth motion, pressing him flat against the bed.
Obi-Wan let out a lewd moan, trying to smother it by pressing his face into the pillow. Stars, Cody could make him cum from his voice alone.
“Ah, ah,” Cody tsked above him. He tilted Obi-Wan’s chin up until he was no longer panting into his pillow. “I told you, I want to hear everything.”
Obi-Wan squirmed under Cody. The pressure against his trapped cock was too much. He let out a small whine. “C-Cody, please.”
“Please, what?” Cody teased. He kissed Obi-Wan’s neck and nipped at the sensitive skin of his ear. “Use your words, jetti.”
“M-move, please,” Obi-Wan begged.
Cody grinned into his neck and thrusted languidly. A high keening cry left Obi-Wan’s lips, followed by a moan as Cody continued to thrust into him lazily.
“Oh, how I wish they could see you, ner jetti,” Cody moaned into Obi-Wan’s ear. “All spread out and begging for my cock.”
His words sent a shiver down Obi-Wan’s spine. He gripped at the pillow with white knuckles. “Ah! C-Cody—!”
“What happened to the Great Negotiator, huh?” Cody growled. His thrusts became rougher, until he was snapping his hips against Obi-Wan’s ass again. His breath came out in pants in between the grunts as he sought his release. “No words, huh?”
The only things leaving Obi-Wan’s mouth were moans and Cody’s name repeated like a mantra. Cody was hitting that sweet spot deep inside him over and over, and the friction of his body and the bed against his cock was unbearable.
“Cody—I'm so—!”
“Cum for me, ner jetti,” Cody moaned, snapping his hips even faster.
Obi-Wan shuddered as he let Cody’s words wash over him. Cody hit that spot hard one last time, chanting, growling, in Mando’a, and then, oh Force, Obi-Wan saw stars. He came with a ragged cry, arching his back, feeling himself spill all over his stomach and sheets. Cody stilled above him, moaning low as he spilled inside Obi-Wan, his forehead warm against the Jedi’s shoulder.
Obi-Wan laid on his bed, panting, eyes fluttered shut, his mind comfortably empty. He barely realized when Cody had gotten up to silently pad to the refresher until he returned, pressing a damp cloth against him. Obi-Wan rolled over, not bothering to open his eyes, so Cody could clean his mess on his stomach.
Cody laughed and leaned up to kiss his Jedi, tossing the rag somewhere in the room. “Fucked senseless?”
Obi-Wan opened one eye to glare at Cody. “You have a foul mouth, commander.” Still, he wrapped his arms around Cody’s shoulders and pulled him down on the bed.
“You still love me,” Cody murmured, still grinning.
Obi-Wan hummed against Cody’s lips, toying with the small curls at the base of his neck. “Unfortunately.” He kissed him one last time, and then nuzzled his head against his neck.
Cody wrapped his arms around Obi-Wan’s waist and pulled him closer. He kissed the top of his head. “Goodnight, Obi.” His only response was the soft, measured breathing of his Jedi deep in sleep.

This is What War Does to You
--
summary: y/n is a doctor for the GAR. after a stressful day, obi wan seeks comfort from her.
warnings: 1.4 k words of trash. hurt to comfort fic. there is a lil bit of angst and there is also happy endings cuz i don’t write unhappy endings in MY CANON! 🥰
--
--
Rex was the first to run in, holding a trooper in his arms. In obvious disarray, he was looking around to try and find Y/N. His desperate eyes locked with hers. Y/N gaped, running to Rex. Just then, more injured troopers entered. Many familiar faces were in pain.
“Wh-what happened?” she was horrified, grabbing Rex’s arm to lead him to the medic bay. “I need all hands on deck! Troopers will be coming in soon!”
Rex set down the clone in front of Y/N.
“Injuries?”
“Leg and left arm.”
Stripping the clone of their armor, she found the sticky blacks hiding underneath. They had been bleeding profusely. She cringed as she unveiled their injuries. Two deep gashes from bullet wounds. Looking up, she found Rex’s tired eyes. He can’t be here, it’s just too much for him right now.
“Rex, honey, you need to leave. They are safe in my care.”
“But ma’am-”
“Do not fight with me right now. We cannot afford to have such arguments when your brothers are all in critical condition.”
Rex frowned as she began to turn on her medical droids and ready her tools. “I-I understand.”
She caressed his cheek gently. In no way did she mean to come off cold. But right now there was too much happening. Y/N couldn’t have him in her way. “Thank you, Rex. You are one of the bravest soldiers I know.”
And with that, he walked away. Assessing the troopers injuries, she mentally prepared herself for a long night. The entire bay was filled with clone troopers and their short-staffed medical team. Emitting a sigh, she began to work on the man in front of her.
How many more would she have to treat tonight?
--
Well, Y/N was beyond stressed. By the time of 6 AM, she was still working. The last trooper was being treated. Their injury wasn’t extensive, unlike the others that she treated. She made her medical team go to sleep earlier in the morning. So, she worked silently in the shroud of stars and hyperspace.
Suddenly she felt a presence. Looking behind her, she found a sleepy Obi Wan. He approached her, standing beside the head doctor. In his hands he held a tea and coffee. Completing the last stitch, she exhaled deeply. Y/N turned to the Jedi who offered her the coffee. Warmth filled her palms as she latched onto the cup. Eyes softening, she gave the Jedi the best smile she could muster in her drowsy state.
“I could just kiss you right now, Obi Wan. This means a lot to me.”
Obi Wan laughed. “How are you doing, Y/N?”
This is a dandy opportunity for Y/N to release all of her internalized stress and anger! Obi Wan sat down in a nearby chair. Y/N paused to take a sip of her coffee.
“I thought this was going to be a great way to help the GAR! Which, it is, but there is so much other shit going on! Like, I’m not just a doctor. I serve as a soldier in some situations where my medical attention is needed on the field. I help Cody and Rex strategize and provide mental support to any clone that needs it. And now, I have not one pain in the ass, but two entire legions of pains in my ass! No offense, but you Jedi are also crazy! Next thing I know you motherfuckers are gonna start flying around with your weird mind powers!”
“So, to answer your question, I am doing fan-fucking-tastic Obi Wan. Especially since you guys brought in at least 15 new soldiers for me and my team to scramble around and try to help without giving me any heads up!”
“I admit, that was inappropriate of me. But it wasn’t like we were expecting everything to go wrong.”
Sitting beside the General, she ran her fingers through his hair. “I know darling. There’s nothing you can do about it now though.”
He yawned. “Suppose so.”
“Have you gotten any sleep?”
“Only woke up a few minutes ago.”
Like a puppy, he curled into Y/N’s side.
“Just let me stay here for a little bit.” Obi Wan said
His arms wrapped around her waist. Burying his head into her upper chest, he intently listened to her heartbeat. Their position was slightly awkward, as the arms of the chairs separated their bodies slightly. But they made it work. Comfortingly, she continued to run her fingers through his hair. It always worked like a charm on the Jedi.
“Everything went wrong. No matter what we did-”
“What happened happened. You cannot go back in time, no matter how much you want to. There will always be lives lost in war. I am not saying that these deaths are meaningless. They most certainly are not. But, it is the expectation that people you love will die. That is why I hope there is a place we go after we die, reuniting with everyone who is gone.”
“Fate works in strange ways. Like how I joined the GAR and met all of you magical people. Nothing is a coincidence. In the end, we are all connected one way or another.”
“Now, you can look at the clone’s deaths however you like. But me personally? I will be thinking about the next time I see them. Not in pain, not sick, not dying in my arms, but happy. It is what they deserve. Only the best the afterlife has to offer.”
“War is ugly. You can never forget or escape it. I know some moments still haunt me in my sleep, and I haven’t fought nearly as many battles as they have. But what we have to do is get through it. To see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know it’s there and if we fight long enough, we will find it.”
Obi Wan was crying, she realized soon after her compelling speech. His body shook as silent sobs racked through his body. Arms tightening around her waist, grabbing at her supple skin. He needed something- anything to make him feel better. Like a child, he was deadlocked onto her. The pressure of being the perfect general and Jedi was prevealant in the wrinkles on his handsome face and the callouses on his hands.
Hot tears stained her shirt as they continuously fell from his face. Y/N held him impossibly closer, hoping her affection was enough to quell the sadness in his heart. Tears also began to fill her eyes. An immense sense of guilt fell over the two.
This is what war does to you.
It breaks you slowly. Even the strongest of people cried.
“It’s alright darling. It’s alright.”
They both knew it wasn’t.
“Nothing is lost so long as we continue to dream in color and fight with all we’ve got.”
To Obi Wan and Y/N, dreaming in color was fantasizing the ideal future. One where the Jedi weren’t held up to such high standards. One where the clones lived a full life doing whatever they liked, not judged by society because they all looked the same. One where Ahsoka felt like a real teenager and did teenager things. One where Padmé and Anakin get their happy ending. They could make it a reality so long as they fought hard enough.
Obi Wan tilted his head up. Just the sight of his heartbroken eyes cued Y/N’s floodgates. His bloodshot, golden orbs continued to be beautiful even in moments of pain. Neither were used to letting their guards down. She cupped the sides of his face, thumbs running over his deep and silky beard. Tears dripped down her chin and jaw as they shared the intimate moment.
“You stop that.” Obi Wan said
Weakly, he kissed her tears away. Soft lips collided on her skin. Heat coursed through her veins at the gesture. Closing her eyes, she let the last of her tears slip out. The salty taste lingered as he pulled her into his lap. Her legs wrapped around his torso. Pressing their foreheads against each other, they stared back at one another.
“You are the one that started crying first.” she teased softly
They both laughed despite the pain. It was something you learned to do after so many hardships. She rested her head in his neck.
“I forgot how tired I was...”
“Then go to sleep, darling.”
She didn’t need to be told twice. Just as she was doing to him a few moments ago, he began to play with her hair. Coaxing her to sleep, he mumbled things into her ear. But she caught one thing before she succumbed to slumber.
“I love you.”

Names: slight Luke x reader
-after battle of endor
-enjoyyyyy and please reblog and like or comment
Summary:
You were kidnapped and kept in a stasis pod (like Kix). When someone finds you and lets you out, the truth that you're in the future hits you like a train.
Your breath hitched as you placed a hand over your forehead. The blood roared in your ears as your hands shook, and it was like time had come to a stand still. You couldn't believe your ears, and most definitely not the sight of your old friend. He wasn't the young pre-teen with blond shaven hair or a sparkle in his eyes. No, he was now old and gray, with a rather rounded stomach and chunky limbs.
When did he get so fat?
"Rex, I..." You trailed off, carefully studying every new wrinkle and gray piece of hair on his face.
I'm sorry to say this Commander, he had said, but yu're in the future.
"That's impossible." You knew it was possible. "T-the chips... Fives! I-I promised--" Rex's sorrowful expression cut you short. You could sense the concern and sadness burst in his aura. Just by being there you had opened old wounds, and that was something you couldn't stand because you could have prevented them. You discovered the chips with Fives back on Kamino and sought to spread the word to the Council before it was too late. Fives died along the way, and then everything else became a blur. You had been kidnapped, thrown into a stasis pod, and the rest was history.
Only now had you finally been released from it.
"I promised Fives I'd tell the Council." you blankly said. Rex took a seat on a rock as an ewok scurried by with a stick in hand. He motioned for you to join him, so you did. "The Republic is gone now, Kid, and so are all the Jedi save for a few." You hung your head in your hands as the information pierced through your soul. Rex was clearly uncomfortable with telling you this, but you both knew you'd eventually find out anyway. You heaved in a shaky breath. "What happened to all the Jedi?"
"Order 66, the order to terminate all Jedi." Your heart shattered. Sure, you didn't directly know of the particular name of this order, but you and Fives uncovered enough to have a vague idea of what those Seppies were planning. Only now did the truth really slap you in the face.
You loved being the correct one, but not in this way.
As for Rex, you sensed his wounds were opening. He was torn about Order 66, and clearky knew something else he wasn't willing to share. The hurt in his heart transferred over to you, only further weighing down your shoulders. "You and Fives were right. The Chancellor was behind everything. We didn't see that," Rex shook his head, "so we paid the price and turned on our Jedi. But thanks to you and Fives, I was able to help Ahsoka find the report on your discovery. She managed to remove my chip, and from there..." Rex knitted his brows together, that deep hurt in his heart finally reaching his voice. "...we survived. Although you couldn't save everyone, you at least saved us."
Rex patted your shoulder comfortingly. "I know what you're thinking now." You shook your head. "That's not true." Rex tightly embraced you.
"I didn't know you were so affectionate." you grumbled. Rex ignored your banter and instead rocked you fron side to side like how Cody did to him as a kid. He felt the way your heart pounded. He saw the sadness reflecting in your eyes. You had always been so brave and strong for not only your reputation, but for your own legion of men. Now, it was Rex's turn to be the strong one. "You think this is your fault."
"That's not true."
Rex rolled his eyes. "You're lying to yourself again, Kid. I know you're the selfless type, but you can't always save everyone. That's something you've gotta learn. I couldn't save a great deal of my brothers, either, but sometimes, in war it's hard to be the one that survives." It was quiet for a few moments, save for the chatter in the Ewok village in the distance and the partying Rebels dancing round campfires.
The happiness those Rebels felt eventuallh made its way to you. Despite everything you've known being gone, life blossomed and grew. Hope lived in the hearts of those men and women in the distance, and only seemed to keep growing as each second ticked by. When Rex realised you had relaxed, you hummed a little tune. "That one?" you commented. Rex let out a lighthearted chuckle for you. The tune was one almost every veteran clone knew. It was a simple war song, but a tool many used to keep themselves sane throughout all the chaos during the Clone Wars.
"Fives used to scream it all the time." you reminisced. Unlike Rex, Fives's death was still fresh in your mind. To you, it happened only a couple days ago while to Rex, decades ago. It was crazy for the both of you to thinj aboit how much time had passed.
When the tune came to a stop, Rex kept his gaze focused on a particular blond up in the treetops. You followed his gaze and squinted through the darkness (why weren't you modified with perfect vision?). "Who are you staring at?" Rex pointed to the blond with a small smile. "You see that kid there?"
"Yes."
"He's Anakin's son. The other's his daughter."
You forgot your heartache in that moment. Daughter? Son? You knew Anakin and Padme had a 'thing', but never would have guessed they'd do that. Your jaw unhinged as you pushed away from Rex. "You're joking." Rex couldn't help the smirk crawling up his lips. "No, sir."
You turned to look Rex in those honey eyes of his. "Have you talked to him?" The old clone shook his head. "Not yet. Haven't got the chance." You peered over your shoulder to take another glimpse at the two people. Through the crowds of Rebels and Ewoks, you weren't sure if they were overwhelmed by the sea of people or simply disappeared. You sensed a calm presence make its way towards you. From the trees and thick vegetation emerged a beautiful blond boy. His eyes were as blue as the lakes on Naboo while the smile he offered as bright as the sun.
"Wow." you whispered. Rex snickered as the boy approached. "Uh, hi." he awkwardky greeted. "How are you doing?" Rex elbowed you and leaned close to your ear. "He was the one that found you. I only offered to take care of you."
It was hard to look at the blond boy without melting. "I-I'm doing...great." you shakily replied. The boy knitted his brows together, clearly doubting your words. "Are you sure?"
You sized the boy up and down. Fluffy golden locks, bright smile, confident demeanor, and mechanical hand just like his father. Another detail that caught your eye was the lightsaber hanging from his belt. "You're Force Sensitive." you blurted.
"So are you." the boy replied. "How long have you been in that pod for? What's your name?" You shrugged at the first question. "I know I've been there since the Clone Wars, but I don't know the exact numbers. My name is (Y/n) Kenobi. You?"
The boy's eyes widened. "The Clone Wars? Kenobi?" You offered an awkward smile. "I had a brother. His name was Obi-wan." The boy's jaw unhinged. "What?! I am telling you, Ben doesn't tell me anything! I didn't know he had a sister!" You knitted your brows as the boy began to explain his relationship to your brother. At the end of it, he finally mentioned his name.
"I'm Luke. Luke Skywalker."
You turned to Rex with an incredulous expression. "That was the baby name I told Padme about!"

Hello ٩(^ᴗ^)۶ Could you maybe write fluff with Commander Wolffe or Commander Cody, where the Reader is a young Jedi (around 20) and constantly flirting with him making him flustered all the time 'cause he is overwhelmed that such a cute girl is acutally interested in him. :D In the Clone Wars univerese pls :-D And thank you sooooo much for reblogging my Oneshot! (人◕ω◕)
Commander Codi x flirty Jedi!Reader
Cody has a forbidden crush and one night things take a hard turn for the worse...or better
Ok so for this fic Lucoa from Dragon Maid inspired me for the reader. Over the top flirty and has zero idea what boundaries are and seriously lacks a filter. Also a scene with Kanna and Kobayashi Sorry for this comedic masterpiece lmao
"Cody...Cody don't...don't look over at her." The 212th commander thought to himself.
(Y/n), though raised by the reserved Jedi, had no idea what modesty was. Looking sexual was something she had no idea was possible, and just wore whatever was comfortable. Today she decided to wear a rather...revealing Jedi ensemble. A robe that ended mid thigh and was quite low cut in the front, and it didn't help that her breasts were on the bigger side. She had on leather, over the knee boots that squeezed her thighs a little.
"Oh force she's bending over. Why is she bending over? I guess she wouldn't notice if I took just a little peek." He thought.
"Commander?" Boil asked. "Is something wrong?"
"What makes you ask that?"
"There's blood dripping from underneath your helmet." He pointed to his chest, which had a bright red trail of blood dripping down the front.
"Oh. I think my nose is bleeding." He said taking off the helmet. "I wonder why."
"Cody! What happened? Are you ok?"
(Y/n) turned towards him and walked closer. She grabbed a med kit and pushed him down into a chair and sat on his lap. The trickle from his nose turned into a gush. She pulled out some cotton and held it up to his face.
"You should tip your head forward so the blood doesn't clot in your sinuses." She said. "Here." With his head turned sideways, she pulled his head down against her chest.
"So soft." He thought. "I wonder if her thighs are this soft...I wonder what she sounds like in- CODY snap out of it! You're a commander. You can't think about these things.
After a few minutes, and several cotton balls later the bleeding stopped and she let him sit up.
"There we go." She giggled, wiping the remaining blood off his chin. "We don't need any blood mucking up that handsome face!"
"Uh....yeah.....I...." He stammered, in disbelief that he received a compliment from such a young, alluring girl.
"What's the matter Cody?" Rex asked walking into the room, as (y/n) got off the commander's lap. "Loth-cat got your tongue?"
"I'm just a little dizzy that's all." He snapped. "Probably blood loss or something. I think I'm going to go lay down."
With that, he got up and trudged to his room. He laid down, and got lost in thought.
"I had always admired her, but does she really like me in the way she's letting on? She can't. I'm way to old for her. I'm biologically like 35, and she just turned 20 last moon. Plus she's a Jedi. A rather flirty one at that...I guess I'll just sleep on it and see where things go. See if she keeps this up."
The next day, Cody was preparing his men for a reconnaissance mission. Much to his dismay/pleasure, a familiar young Jedi walked into the room.
"Looks like I'm with you today!" (Y/n) said. "At least that's what master Obi-Wan told me."
"Uh yeah. You are. Umm. Let's go."
"Where are we headed?" She asked.
"Into the forest on the other side of the planet. We're supposed to he in groups of 4, but I was heading out by myself. I guess you can come with me."
Everyone boarded the transport and were dropped at the appropriate locations. She and Commander Cody began their trek into the woods. She took his arm with both hands, hugging it as she walked.
"Its so nice to spend some time alone with you." She said.
"W-what?" He asked, thankful that she couldn't see the look of panic on his face.
"You're always surrounded by other soldiers, and I've always got some other Jedi on my back. They always say I'm not supposed to form relationships or attachments but it's so hard when there's someone as hunky and strapping as you around." She said dreamily.
Cody couldn't wait for the day to be over. Yes, he had a huge crush on her, but he couldn't bring himself to believe that she actually liked him back. She's not allowed to. He has to put aside his feelings and focus on the war. But she's so cute and attractive. But she's way to young for him, he can't go near her. He has to have a talk with her and straighten things out.
(Cue that one scene from episode 14)
It was late, but he walked around for a while hoping she would still be awake. He eventually found her sitting on the floor by the caf table. She had a bunch of empty wrappers and half eaten sweets in front of her.
"Cody! I was hoping you would come and find me. I went to the market earlier and there was a new vendor selling chocolates from all over the galaxy. I saved this one for you." He sat in a chair adjacent to her and took the chocolate she held out to him. "It's heart shaped!"
"T-thanks." He said taking a bite. "Its pretty good." After eating about half of it he realized something was wrong. His vision blurred and his pupils dilated. He could feel himself getting, weak and dizzy and....tingly.
"Cody? Are you alright?" She asked tiredly, moving closer to him. He looked at her, shocked at himself for what he felt when he took in her features. She got up and straddled his knee. "Why is your face so red?"
"Why is this arousing?" He thought to himself as his cheeks went flush. She scooted up his leg moving closer to his face, then pressed her forehead against his cheek.
"Do you have a fever?" She asked. He looked over her shoulder and noticed a warning label on the chocolate he had eaten. It was in a foreign language, but he could put two and two together. She put her hands on his chest and looked into his eyes.
"Oh no. At this rate I'll lay my hands on a young jedi. We'd be breaking the law." He put his hands on her shoulder and pushed her away, gently.
"(Y/n). I'm going to go lay down. I don't feel so well."
"Oh. Ok."
He slowly made his way back to his room and stripped down to his blacks. He played there for a few minutes, thankful to be out of her presence. No telling what he'd do if he stayed around while the full effects of the drug or whatever it was kicked in. He heard the door to his room open.
"Cody?"
"Oh no."
"Do you need anything? Why are you so sweaty? You're breathing really hard too. No, don't get out of bed. Cody? Cody why did you lock the door? Wait! Do you have an erec-"
"Force forgive me."

Recovering from his captivity, Echo learns of Five’s death. ch. 1/2, if you like it please reblog!
Echo didn’t know how to feel--though to be honest, he wasn’t certain that he wanted to feel at all. He felt as lifeless as he did when he was hooked up to that machine. Only now he was conscience and forced to come to terms with the truth.
Fives was dead.
If he had decided to live for anyone, it would have been for Fives. During his captivity, in the moment he could think for himself, he’d always fantasized returning to his brother. He’d planned the end of the war out for them--where’d the’d go, who’d they’d meet, or if they’d stay in the military. It had kept him sane, and the prospect of receiving a warm welcome from his brother even more so.
But that wouldn’t happen. Because Fives was dead. How he was gripping onto sanity was beyond him, but he figured when he was discharged, the real challenge would come. The General couldn’t even look him in the eyes when he’d told him. There’d been nothing but a choked apology. And that’s what scared Echo the most, that his general was apologizing. What on earth did General Skywalker have to do with his brother’s death? What could he possibly have to do with it?
They’d lost men on the battlefield before, yes. But never had General Skywalker actually apologized--and in that manner?
Why was the general apologizing? What on Earth had he done?
Anakin had walked out before Echo had the chance to ask him, and before he could receive clarification from Rex, the Captain had given him a sympathetic look before quickly following after his General.
It seemed neither man was brave enough to tell him what on earth went down with Fives.
They’d left him alone, grappling with his anguish, and trying to piece together what the hell had happened.
After what seemed like a lifetime, Rex had come in a little while later, looking tired and beaten. He’d assumed the full responsibility of a Commander since Commander Tano’s absence (though he wasn’t unused to the role), but the emotional toll of being so close to a Jedi who was as expressive as their general was exhausting.
“I don’t remember him having such a short fuse.” Echo said as the Captain, clad in white and blue armor, stepped in. He smiled sadly as he let the door close behind him.
“He’s not angry,” Rex responded as he pulled a chair beside the bed, “He’s sad. Guilty actually.”
Echo closed his eyes and let his head fall against the bedrest. It seemed the pieces were falling together.
“He killed Fives, didn’t he?” Asked the clone, “That’s why he hasn’t been able to look at me, and why he’s apologizing, isn’t it?”
Rex looked taken aback just slightly, “You always were a smart one. But not smart enough. Anakin didn’t kill Fives. Not exactly.”
Echo didn’t miss the use of the general’s first name, though thought nothing of it. The two had always been close, he was almost certain that war brought them closer. Though now he could cross one of his fears off of his list
“Than who did?” Echo demanded, “if it wasn’t the general, than who? And why is he so upset? And why did you say not exactly?”
Rex groaned, and pinched the bridge of his nose. He was clearly stressed.
“Are you sure you wanna know, Echo?”
“Fives was the closest thing I had to family,” Echo deadpanned, “I need to know.”
Rex looked hard at Echo, his golden eyes sweeping over the sunken face and tattered body.
“I don’t blame you, kid,” the blond lamented, “If it had been Cody, I’d want to know the same thing.”
“Glad we understand each other, Sir.”
“No, we don’t,” the older many placed a hand on the other’s shoulder, “I’ve still got Cody. I can’t begin to understand what you’re going through now.”
“Honestly, neither can I,” Echo admitted, “I only know when I get outta this place, I’m going to have to deal with it as best as I can. I guess it’ll be like how Fives dealt with thinking I was dead.”
There was silence, so Echo closed his eyes. This would be the last bit of silence he had until his death. It was the ‘calm before the storm’, before the medication wore off, before the pain (both mental and physical) settled in.
“So who did it, Rex?” his voice was a tone away from a plea, “Who killed Fives?”
“Get comfortable kid,” Rex grumbled, “I’ve got a lot to tell you.”
