thinking about !bad (d! q! tr!, mostly) and his lore. augh. i'm trying to come up with headcanons for him but his lore is so intricate, i can't put it together. there's so many pieces but not enough to finish the puzzle

so far it's been alluded that bad is/was a (fallen?) angel from heaven, one of the 4 angels trapped under the euphrates released in the second trumpet of woe, and one of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.

in his early days, he was a spectator outside of time. he's worked as a grim reaper. he was outcast from heaven and accepted back. his new job has an hr equivalent, "ar", his job requires him to create conflict.

it's speculated his arrival sunk atlantis and ended the last ice age. he catalyzed a tragedy in venice. he saw the salem witch trials. he knew einstein personally. he was there for the sinking of the titanic. death follows him. he has an insatiable hunger. hes been chased with pitchforks. he has had previous "love" interests, some of which have tried to kill him. bads first kill was a guard. he chose to continue killing, believing he had no choice. he's died before, and with each death he becomes immune to the cause. he knows death is not the end, rather a part of life. he's had to hide his true identity. he has many enemies, a few of which are consistently following him.

he hates the ocean, he's scared of wardens, he loves conflict. petty violence is a sign of affection for him. he doesn't care for living things, yet empathizes with them. for him, animals and people are no different, they both are sentient.

he has flaws. he's forgetful, and selfish in the eyes of mortals. he never breaks a deal. his actions don't always align with the values of heaven. he's been forgiven for all his past present and future actions.

just who exactly IS this guy. what does he know.

Which is what led you to now, your boyfriend holding your hand as you guys walked through the gardens next to his office. You knew Fu Xuan would be mad later because he was off task, but the way he softly took your hand and kissed the back of your palm upon you first arriving made you melt. You were spaced out, thinking about the consequences of both yours and his actions, until a voice called to you,

“Love? You should stop worrying so much… It’s not like it’s any fun.” Jing Yuan mused softly. He gestured to a bench near a small pond under a tree. “Care for a break from walking?”

You briefly nodded. You both settled down on the bench, looking down at the tranquil water that reflected your faces. It was peaceful for a moment. You thought of the times you both did this before, but when you guys were just friends. You were about to speak up about it until he gently grabbed your hand off the bench, bringing it up to his lips.

“You truly are divine, love.” Jing Yuan mumbled with affection dripping from his voice. He pressed kisses from the back of your palm and up your arm, pressing one last kiss to your jawline before he broke away. He gently caressed your face before guiding your head to rest on his shoulder. He leaned his head against yours and you both ended up falling asleep. Just five minutes.

not really a headcanon but the whole like "i like cady, she's nice to me." i eat that shit up. i love them and their relationship, in like, all adaptations

and specifically for the 2024 movie.. the way karen is the only person to text cady during her suspension... and how she reassures her that thyere still friends.. (similar to the bway version)... UGH!!!!!! love that so much

YOU WANT ME TO TALK ABT MY HEADCANONS??!?? FR??? I’LL BE GLAD TO!!!! I already made a post about my infodump of Gregory and Christophe headcanons, but I have some extras that I haven’t posted / recently developed! (Make sure to click the "keep reading" to see all of it)

Gregory HATES theater kids, and he doesn't exactly know why. Maybe it was cause they're full of overly dramatic, ignorant, self absorbed people? (At least in his school and previous experiences) Maybe it's the overly cheesy performances that he likes to scoff at and gets second hand embarrassment... thinking that they don't do as good as the professional musicals and is an insult to them. But anyways, there is one acceptation to why he still attends at watching school plays, and it's cause Christophe IS a theater kid! Gregory thinks that Christophe is the only theater kid he actually respects, cause his performances are more better than others (even if it's overly dramatic sometimes) and he pin points tone and body language almost perfectly. Gregory will rant about how all the other theater kids should be more like him and how Christophe is carrying the success of school plays.

Fun fact I based off of my interpretation of Gregory's personality and nature mostly the same as Peppermint Patty from Peanuts. I just feel like Patty fits how I see Gregory..

I like to think that Gregory's the type to make full on callouts on someone's bullshit by somehow getting evidence of it and throwing it all over their faces, insult them, clowns on them, and then making them cry if they deserve it.

Christophe really loves how fluffy, soft, and curly Gregory's hair is, he's almost jealous of it. But at the same time he doesn't want to properly take care of his hair cause it's too much work and it doesn't matter to him. So instead he likes to walk up to Gregory and ruffles his hair for a bit getting it all messy (which Gregory finds it fun) just to appreciate how nice his hair feels

Whenever it rains, Gregory will literally come over to Christophe's house just to ask if they can play in the rain and dance in it together :] and then have mud fights

Gregory has hand sensory issues, his hands are very picky on textures to the point where it bothers him extremely. This is why he wears gloves! But he has an issue with them where sometimes they get too warm, or if he doesn't need them at that time, he takes it off. Which is my excuse to why in the movie, Gregory's gloves randomly disappear

Christophe does keep small animals as pets, lizards, ducks, frogs, mice, etc.. but an incident happened where Gregory's snakes ate a bunch of the smaller animals Christophe has, and another time where the snakes ate Pocket's rabbits when petsitting them... this is why Christophe is terrified and hates snakes. Gregory deeply regrets that and tried his best to not let that happen again 😭

Ok, now that I got those extras out of the way.. I have some Gary headcanons! Cause I love him and I've been wanting to talk about my headcanons for him for a while

Gary has dyslexia, which in his case fucking sucks! Gary has a passion for reading, and literature in general, so having dyslexia is the worst combination ever while having that hobby, but he tries! (This is coming from an dyslexic person who also likes literature

Speaking of books, Gary has a really big interest in Warrior Cats... I don't know how this thought happened, I just feel like it would be funny

Gary's also obsessed with things relating to stars, or just space in general. He's also a little inpatient and doesn't wait to give an answer about those topics (This is in relation to the episode where he appears in, where he straight up didn't wait to be called to give an answer on the rocket landing question and he just full on yells it out)

Gary loves Hawaiian Pizza.. he doesn't understand why people hate it so much lol

Gary also has a habit of not getting jokes, the punchline flies right over his head unless they're blunt. But he just laughs along even though he fully doesn't get it and just goes along to be friendly

Since Gregory is Gary's cousin, they hang out a bunch. Christophe, Gary, and Gregory is like their own little mini friend group! And since Gary sticks around with Gregory a bunch, sometimes he picks up Gregory's accent and it will randomly show, in which he will immediately correct himself

Gary and Stan are dating in my headcanon ofc, but Gregory and Stan have a huge rivalry going on... Gary gets stuck in the middle of it cause Stan is his boyfriend while Gregory is his cousin, it's a constant back and forth between trying to keep both sides from mauling each other.. poor Gary :[

ROSE CUBBAGE: I'm fairly certain I've answered this before (feel free to dig through my OC tag to find a series of other asks that I went into depth with a little while ago) but I think Rose would love any type of food that is a sweet/savory combination. Foliaverds don't have strong "sweet" flavor receptors, being hyper-carnivorous, but the sugars you'd see in fruit do get across to their palette more or less. VENUS: As with most Ikarians, Venus's diet consists mainly of insects. However, he normally has a very subdued appetite due to... multiple things. Their samefoods mostly consist of cold (or just not hot) things that don't have a very strong smell: frozen crickets, protein chips, dried fruit, and (expensively) tenjarian-tempered yogurt that's supposed to be digestible for every species, but most think it tastes... awful. Venus loves it, for some reason.

GILLS KVN: Herbal tea and pain pills. Well- that'd be the answer early on, anyway. He starts eating more regularly with time and feeling a little more comfortable actually getting out of his lab to visit the kitchen, and as per usual for his species, mostly favors raw seafood. He prefers animals with shells, though, since overly-mushy textures bother him immensely. As for his favorite favorite, I think he'd enjoy a bowl of south Kaaleran noodles (thin, dried parasitic eels native to Kaalera's coasts, cleaned and fermented with starch. Add steamed veggies, whatever eggs you have on hand, and plenty of spices), which is notoriously too hot for most species to handle.

SPARKPLUG: I elaborated on this a little before, similar to Rose, but I think Sparks is partial to sweets! Sweet for his species, anyway. He loves the kinds of tangy, metallic preserved pastries native to his home planet, recipes carried down and altered by his family for generations, across planets. I'm lazy so I'm just going to steal what I already wrote:

NORA ACTON: Peanut butter + banana + bacon sandwich. Simple, very filling. I like to think she only realized this after moving out and trying to figure out how to feed herself in her academy days.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

Going to give you a catch-all answer for this to start with: the conceit of the comic, and subsequently most of the crew, was that it was originally a cast of Starbound OCs! That obviously has changed, but it's still in their roots. As for specifics...

-Rose was sort of her own thing, a position of leader and captain that needed to be filled- and she only really came into her own later in terms of development, inspired by characters like Alyx Vance or Ellen Ripley in particular- and my own personal experiences, actually. I think in a lot of ways Rose is closest to me.

-Venus's inspiration is weirdly difficult to pin. Taako from TAZ, maybe? A little bit of the Rito from when I played BOTW? He's kind of his own character, really.

-Gills, however, was definitely strongly inspired by Ford Pines. I feel like it's a little obvious sometimes. Then, a little later, characters like Spock, or Kim Kitsuragi.

-Sparkplug... draw your own conclusions based on the information above, particularly his dynamic with Gills. His arc, however, was also strongly influenced by my own ongoing struggles with chronic fatigue.

-Domino is inspired by a whole host of fictional characters, ranging from Lupin to Max from sam & max to Shiraishi from golden kamuy, but the most important part is that she was originally an OC created by my friend Addy, who I've known since the comic was in its baby stages. That part of who she is is extremely important to her core as a character.

-Nora is kind of like... a fusion of Sam Raimi era Peter Parker and inspector Zenigata from Lupin III. But british. and butch.

🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?

ROSE CUBBAGE: Worrying. Creating collages, actually, but those mostly consist of future plans and secret obsessive corkboards. She used to enjoy biking, and still has her bike from when she was an older teenager sitting around on the station, despite not using it much.

DOMINO: Stealing things to create "art" in her room. I think she'd love to branch out and create more multi-media type stuff, but she's mostly motivated by boredom.

VENUS: Between you and me, I think they write fanfic. Something he would no doubt label as extremely cringe and keep very close to his chest, but fun to kick back and knock out a couple hundred words on every once in a while. They mostly tinker with robotics, though that's less of a hobby and more the main thing he does around the station, so it can get a little boring. I think they could put effort into making video games if they really felt up to it, but they struggle with seeing the point in it. Creative passion projects are embarrassing, after all- from his perspective.

GILLS KVN: Aside from reading, I'm not so sure Gills has any hobbies to begin with. He spends most of his time working on projects in the lab, which while he might consider it fun, it's still ultimately work. I think he would really benefit from taking up something like terrariums or aquariums, maybe some casual gardening. That, and cooking- which is really another form of chemistry, if you think about it.

SPARKPLUG: Another damn workaholic. However, Sparks enjoys music as a hobby immensely, and is rarely far from a stringed instrument, such as his retractable banjo. When the joints in his hands get tired or locked up, I think he'd enjoy getting outside and doing a little nature-watching. Does that count as a hobby? It does now.

NORA ACTON: Nora is definitely the most visually artistic of the crew, something that she's never considered for a career but definitely enjoys as a hobby. She mostly does environmental art, studying things from nature and her surroundings- a fun practice for someone with such a photographic memory. Similarly, I think she loves using her camera, even if it's mostly something she picked up for work.

there's been a huge argument against plagiarism and ai recently, and its deserved, but if youre kicking off over that you need to recognise it pales in comparison to everything a group of people has created being stolen and labeled as the "culture" of the group committing a genocide against them. gaza is starving. israel is blocking supplies from reaching gaza. they have "protestors" blocking trucks from reaching palestinians, and ive seen the photos, those "protestors" are laughing and smiling about it, having never starved in their lives, while gazans are being forced to eat rotting food and animal feed, and drink poisoned water.

i am white british. and that means i dont really have a culture. what culture the english had was lost long ago. im not going to turn this into a rant about what the english did to the rest of the british isles because this isnt the post to do it. but my lack of a culture means i personally am much more appreciative of the cultures around me. i love living in a university city because there are so many restaurants and grocery shops. as someone whos special interest is cooking, i think that food and the history behind it is one of the best ways to learn about other peoples cultures. ive been trying my best to learn how to make palestinian food, i follow palestinian chefs online, and ive been to local palestinian restaurants. its good. its worth learning to make. these are recipes that predate "israel" and they will exist long after it. this is food that is a symbol of resistance. many of the symbols of palestinian resistance link back to their food: the olive trees, the river and sea where they fished and should still be allowed to fish.

so to say with full confidence that "real "cultural appropriation" is a concept invented to prevent people from wearing or eating things outside of their culture by claiming it falsely "strips identity" from these things." and "its literally just a bullshit excuse invented to justify targeted harassment campaigns against people online" is not only fucking disgusting but proves you are uneducated and have no concern for other peoples culture, a huge part of their identities and souls. op, a palestinian, has quite literally described cultural appropriation, the act of "israel" labeling palestinian food as "israeli", something they have EVERY RIGHT to be enraged by, and yet tumblr user spaps-society has the audacity to tell them nah ur wrong actually bc of MY interpretation of what cultural appropriation is. I do want to say re:food appropriation, for Palestinians it is a very very very sensitive issue. I don't know a single Palestinian who doesn't react vehemently to calling food "Israeli." One, because you have to recognize that this is within a larger pattern of completely erasing Palestinian identity, and two, because food is an essential core part of culture, where historical, familial instruction should be acknowledged.

I find it incredibly.... insulting to say "well food can be exchanged between cultures and people, so what's the big idea?" and neglect the fact that even within the Levant, there is a diverse array of cooking styles. To call certain dishes "Israeli" especially within the context of how the state of Israel was established, plays into the erasure of Palestinians.

It's often necessary to attribute the food we eat to specific cultures. For example, I, a Palestinian, would never claim ownership over Macarona Bil-Bashamil, or Yalenji, because they're "Arab." That's just not how food culture works. Different cultures, different climates, different environments all contribute to the food we eat and the clothes we wear. Food in itself is political because of how heavily it is tied to a location in which things are grown and raised.

Food is what builds community. Women, young and old, pass this knowledge throughout generations. And ESPECIALLY between peasant families that grow and raise the very flora and fauna we rely on in our dishes. This is a professional sort of knowledge that we celebrate and consider incredibly important. To strip our very food of our identity is not only insulting, but negates the centuries worth of food culture we've established in favor of homogenization. So yes, it IS possible to appropriate food, especially when you do not acknowledge the centuries worth of knowledge shared.

Can you just talk about your mundane and crazy domestic basic Clark Kent ideas… I’m captivated by him

yes, this man saves coupons and doesn’t own a car but takes the subway or walks to work everyday despite being fucking superman. This guy loves baseball sooooo much he thinks baseball is the best sport in the world and he’ll infodump abt it if you let him. He’s the best cook in the league and makes the most delicious meals ever seemingly without any effort at all, he loves making food for everyone and everyone is always shocked at how good it all tastes.

This guy grew up watching shitty old sitcoms so of course his sense of humor is very old and specific. Also because of where he grew up and who he grew up with, he had a pretty strong accent when he was little but living in metropolis made it go away almost, it’s still there but it’s way more subtle.

everyone agrees with this but i’m putting it in here anyways, kryptonians have fangs, clark has little fangs, it’s the way it is, it’s real.

his hair is naturally very curly and it shows no matter what he does to it, as clark kent he slicks it back and makes it look nice but the curl still very clearly shows. as SUPERMAN, he of course still has his iconic little curl in front, but the rest of it is NOT perfectly slicked back, that’s STUPID and i’m GETTING RID OF IT!!! He’s fucking superman, always flying around at high speeds fighting crime doing all this crazy shit getting beat up or beating some jacked up monster up, there is no way in HELL that his hair stays that perfect, it is ALWAYS crazy, curls everywhere, very windswept look. That’s how it is cause I say so, l’m that powerful.

this is practically canon but he just lets himself into the batcave whenever he needs something from bruce and bruce stopped caring years ago because deep down he loves this guy and is overjoyed to see him everytime but would never say that becayse he’s bruce and bruce is fucking stupid and emotionally constipated. The only reason he does this to Bruce only is because he thinks it’s funny, anything that bothers batman is a little bit funny to him. He has a tiny little streak of doing-things-just-for-the-sake-of haha-sillies deep within him and he mostly takes it out on bruce. Like when he found out Dick’s favorite superhero is actually him and not bruce, he found that significantly amusing and often teases bruce abt it but in the most subtle way. He is the KING of subtlety when it comes to this stuff.

speaking of Dick, he and dick have gotten together to prank bruce on more than one occasion. Dick is usually the one to instigate it but Clark never says no.

this is more of a personal complaint of mine but still a headcanon i guess, his SKIN TONE IS NOT THAT WHITE!! clark loves ducks, like a lot. He likes flying with them he likes watching them in the pond at the park, he likes giving them little crumbs from his lunch occasionally, he likes them, they’re his favorite animal. Also because the kents always had ducks on the farm when he was little and he liked to chase em around and catch one and then just hold it and pet it for a while. This man still believes in Santa Claus, this is actually canon in the DCAU and I fully support it. Which also leads to my belief that he’s one of those people that just loves christmas SO much, he’s always so happy when christmas rolls around he decorates early, he starts listening to the music early, he has at least four different ugly sweaters, and buys all his gifts for everyone early. he also decorates the watchtower and the hall of justice, of course everyone else in the league helps out with that too

But, like, probably about half of Al’s messiness is just an ongoing internal identity crisis about his self worth relative to others (You can thank his daddy issues for that one). On the surface though he’s probably the most chill and laid back member of the group, so at the only time these issues really boil over is whenever Saiph does anything stupid and reckless, they’d always get into arguments over it because he has a more than concerning history.

That being said though, a lot of this internalized turmoil does eventually cause much bigger issues, though Al was sort of being manipulated by a 3rd party. The most simple way they put it was that the way that he loves is tied with admiration, and the way he admires is tied with feelings of inadequacy and riddled with guilt (Again this goes back to his childhood). Which isn’t necessarily wrong at all, his lack of self-acceptance is the self-fulfilling prophecy that’s at the core of his flaw (and by extent his power). And through this it implants the idea in his head that he can overcome these feelings and live free from people’s shadows if he just gets more powerful. 

Which basically means he’s in his downward spiral era and is fully ready to do some shounen anime villain level fuckery because he’s gotten it in his head that this is the only way that he can properly love, and properly be loved, because the only way to be free is to overcome everything by force. The reason I wanted him to have split hair in his design isn’t just to represent a sort of duality, but literally the idea that his psyche is at odds with itself. If you’re familiar with the concept of the “shadow”, the aspect of one’s personality that does not correspond with the ego ideal, the repressed emotional blindspot. His character's theme is shadows, not just the one’s he’s in but his own as well. And Saiph’s is fire, which casts shadows. In a way they need each other.

Even early on Al describes Saiph as being “The sun” to him, a source of warmth that can burn him, a source of sight that could blind him, because Al’s own feelings are too overwhelming to dwell on. There’s a comfortable wall of distance he’s put up between himself and his best friend. And though I’ve been focusing mostly on the perspective of Al here, Saiph is not much better at dealing with things, his own personal traumas and insecurities lead him to see himself as fundamentally unlovable or undesirable, which causes him to repress any of his own emotions too, again leading to that distance hiding under what seems to be closeness, which can’t stay unaddressed forever. 

But that’s all I’ll say for now because otherwise this could end up being incredibly long and incomprehensible, so I’ll just leave it at mostly Al’s POV lol. 

ANYWAY as for Felis and her suspension, I’ll keep this more brief and say she’s literally on probation because she died. Keep in mind she has 9 lives (7 left) so she’s okay now lol. But her adrenaline-chasing recklessness has always been a concern, something she was consistently warned against by the guild master. She had several warnings but couldn’t help but push the envelope, and she died. And because of that she’s banned from going on any more missions until she can get herself under control in order to ideally die as little as possible. It’s hard though, because that’s the only time she feels properly alive, the only time she can really prove she’s alive. Without getting too into her psyche now, let’s just say dying the first time at age 5 left quite a traumatizing mark on her.

how you met: you were in family video one day, just hanging out and distracting your best friend, robin, from her shift one day. you were browsing the shelves and calling over to her to ask how different movies were when you heard the bell on the door and a voice. it was eddie.

his first impression of you: you were quiet. why were you so quiet? what was going on in your head? eddie immediately became obsessed with getting to know you and cracking the code of who you are. ESPECIALLY when robin made you laugh with a stupid joke and he saw you cover your mouth and your eyes widened as you giggled. HE wanted to be the one to make you do that.

how you got together: turns out you talked more the more you got to know someone. and eddie loved that. he, of course, found this out because he charmed you into hanging out with him more. he could listen to you talk about any topic on the planet for forever. anything you talked about had him intrigued. he was especially interested in the fact that you were a vegetarian. i mean, how cool was that? eddie was never a huge lover of animal products anyway, so he actually decided to try being vegetarian himself, which excited you instantly. you decided to have him over to make a vegetarian dinner for the two of you, and you asked eddie to get something from the fridge. he went over to grab the ingredient, but as you looked at the recipe on your phone, you felt a strong pair of arms wrap around your waist and hold you tight. you blushed and turned around to ask what he was doing, when eddie smiled and kissed you on the nose. he couldn’t tell how you felt about that, so he instantly let go and started apologizing, but you just giggled and reached out to grab him hand, letting him know that him doing that was perfectly fine, and that he could kiss you on more than just your nose if he wanted. he grinned and took advantage of that offer right away.

what he likes most about you: your sense of style! eddie actually didn’t start wearing rings until he met you, and he instantly loved the ones you had. as a fidgeter, he really thought they were perfect, and instantly took to wearing some himself. (he also gets you some too ahsdjk <3) he also loves your quiet boldness. even though you’re a pretty reserved person, you aren’t afraid to be yourself and he loves that about you. physically, he is OBSESSED with your eyes. he could study them for HOURS because of just how gorgeous they are. the specs of all the rich colors?? he didn’t even know there were that many hues in existence.

what you guys enjoy doing together: eddie thinks that you being able to speak french is the coolest thing ever. he wants to learn to speak it too, so you start tutoring him, and you make him this cute little book of vocabulary and everything. on your birthday, eddie comes over and grabs your guitar from the corner of the room and surprises you by singing you a cute little love song he wrote in french for you (very surprising, as cute little love songs weren’t his style, but you brought out something new in him that no one else saw except for you). other than music and french, you guys often talked and planned for the day that you would both leave hawkins and explore the world together. nothing made you happier than seeing the gleam in his eye as he got excited about traveling the world with you. it was adorable.

bonus headcanon: when eddie realized that you got sensory overload from smoke, he swore right then and there that he’d NEVER smoke around you, and he’d try to cut back in general. you thought this was sweet of him, and you actually bought him some candy cigarettes as (somewhat) of a replacement. not that he smoked cigarettes as opposed to weed often, but he still appreciated the gesture. (and so did you!)

SO song of the sky takes place in like. you know in like, 80s animated kids movies where the mice or rats or whatever have their -secret civilized animals- society and they basically all act like humans except for when they don't? That Trope is the basis of the setting here. all the characters (unless otherwise specified) are cats. they act like people though. humans still exist, and they live in a world for humans! the humans can't understand them or anything. you know that meme from barnyard (2006)? essentially that. and its in chicago. you know how it is

ok now anyway now that we've gotten this out of the way

so like 2 years prior to the story (which is longer to cats ofc) the former ruler of the city cats, king sarastro, was Overthrown by The Starblazer, a revolutionary. sarastro and the starblazer were actually originally close friends but sarastro cared too much abt his private circle of people and not enough abt like, The Actual Citizens Of His City, for the starblazer's comfort and this growing rift led to them McFucking Attacking each other. so the starblazer and her husband become rulers and are like 'yay we did it :) we're better than kings! we can do this better!' but it turns out they CANT do it better bc the husband just Dies of stress and the starblazer is overcome with the same paranoia and fear of her own people that led to acting Like That. and then even though she was just like 'i am better than kings and queens i'm going to elect my heir based on merit :)' like 5 mins ago she decides 'oh no i don't trust anyone besides my own daughter to be next heir lol' so Nothing Has Been Done.

also sarastro is still alive. his kids were killed etc but he himself is still alive and still has his followers. so now we have sarastro and the starblazer, who are both very similar but also really hate each other, vying for control of the city. nothing can go bad here

so the plot kicks off when sarastro is like 'wait i GOT it'. he and his second in command, the speaker, have figured out that if they just steal the starblazer's daughter/heir and wait for the starblazer to die, then they essentially get power handed to them on a platter without having to fight. the morality of this decision can be debated bc on one hand, finding a way to solve things without sending your citizens into battle is a Good Idea, but on the other hand... you know. kidnapping. so naturally the starblazer flips her shit over this

so anyway the main protagonist of this isn't sarastro OR the starblazer even tho they caused all this mess. it's pamina, the starblazer's daughter, and tamino, a randomass(?) housecat she recruited to go get pamina from sarastro.

tamino is filled with wanderlust and really wants to have a destiny and an identifiable purpose for his existence. he also really wants approval from everyone around him, particularly parental figures. no way that can go badly. tamino is accompanied in his quest by papageno, a birdcatcher working for the starblazer who really just doesn't give a shit about this entire situation. tamino tells him 'hey i'm suffering from a pathological need to only value myself on a basis of how much praise and approval i get from authoritative figures' tamino says. 'geez that sucks have you tried like not fucking worrying about it dude' replies papageno. also papageno has a dead fiancee but that's a whole other thing i'll get to her -later-

meanwhile pamina is just so fucking funny to me because she's spending every moment just figuring out how to kill sarastro. she hates that asgore dreemurr looking ass bitch so much. but also a lot of this thinking comes from her wanting to please her mother . pamina is so Fucking Mad but she's also really quiet and biding her time with all this. meanwhile she's accompanied by monostatos, sarastro's apprentice. monostatos is a strategist and a shapeshifter. he thinks that if he can get the chance, he can be made sarastro's heir and fix the whole issue between sarastro and the starblazer. he sees sarastro as his adoptive father and sarastro doesn't give a shit abt him lol its funny but also kind of sad. so basically this is rejection sensitive dysphoria: the novel

also there's the speaker, sarastro's second in command who is just Really Fucking Tired Of Everybody; and the forsaken molly, who just runs around annoying sarastro and the speaker bc she doesn't like them LOL

HI I FORGTO TO POST THIS UM ANWA S i am thinking about the besties (six mono rk and rcg obviously) and i wanted to write down a little. a little thing abt their relationships idk what to call this i am just thinking (this is all my personal thoughts btw u dont have to agree with anything i say but feel free 2 give some of ur own input :] )

OK SO this is sort of long(?) so haha 

starting with six; six’s closest buddy is (obviously) mono; they’re basically inseperable and may as well be attached at the side at this point. if you see one and not the other then Run because the other is behind you probably /j because six has never felt as though she has a safe space, she often considers mono her home, whether she realises it or not, and mono feels a similar way they go to each other for help and can communicate sometimes without words, theyre both happy to tolerate each other and theres clearly a bond between them you could see from a mile away. they rarely get seriously upset with each other and when they do they find a comfortable way to work it out. six would probably kill for mono, and he’d gladly die for her in return, even when none of them outright admit it. mono is one of the only people six actually talks to, and the only person allowed to touch her. on top of just being great friends that do truly care for each other in their own ways, they’re also an amazing duo that are great alone but are close to unstoppable together; they both have their own strengths that almost perfectly balance each other out, even when their differences sometimes get in the way, and theres really no situation they cant get out of as a team

next in line is rcg (i will refer 2 her as sandy to make this easier and because i think that is a cute name for her); sandy is like six’s older sister (tbh she is everyones older sister) and theyre both on pretty good terms with each other, shes pretty comfortable with sandy and trusts her a decent amount, if mono isnt around six wont hesitate to come to sandy for help and sandy will happily oblige :] six doesnt say it much but she appreciates that sandy is there to help and puts up with sixs sometimes unruly behavior and overall shenanigans, while sandys glad she can be a sort of guardian figure for six (and most of the other kids) and she finds the trust that the two of them are carefully forming is a great reward (six let her braid parts of her hair once and sandy was so honored, it has never happened again but sandy is determined that it will) last but not least is six’s relationship with rk; they don’t get along the best, and it probably would take a while to get them to really interact, and they definitely like to bicker or poke fun at each other from across the room but eventually, overall they tend to really just stay out of each others business. this proves 2 be hard sometimes though as they are kind of now in the same friend group (playable characters gang!!!!! *partying face emoji*) 

despite this theres still quite a few things they can bond over, and theyre both pretty comfortable in the sort of “frenemy” spot. most of the time they really dont mind situations where they have to team up together and just get along for a while, even if they still bully each other throughout  nowwww time for mono!!!!!!!!!!!  right away six is his best friend, like i said before theyre basically the same person except for the fact that theyre sort of total opposites he just adores her, thinks she is the absolute coolest and is always willing to give her his undivided attention. will obviously tell her off when needed but he’s always gentle and patient with her, and is always on her side, and six lets him know in her own way that she appreciates him greatly he loves to drag her into his activities and make sure shes included like i said before hes always patient with her, and makes sure she’s comfortable, for example when he goes to hug her (or just touch her at all) he’ll wait for a sign from her saying its okay; and if she’d rather be left alone he just sits with her and waits, ready for whenever she needs him for basically anything, and six always does the same for him

next is rcg/sandy!!!! like basically everyone else, he sees her sort of as an older sister, and appreciates her helping out with six’s shenanigans and being there for six when he isnt able to, even for a little bit. they actually make a pretty good team as well, and have tons in common. both of them love trying out new things and usually make plans together, and sandys happy to let him talk whenever he wants; whether he’s ranting, infodumping, or just bored and looking to strike up conversation, shes there to chat with!! also he loves her hugs because she always picks him up and spins him around  and again rk!!!! the two of them arent very close but still pretty friendly with each other and always manage to find things to talk about whenever theyre together, mono is always ecstatic to learn more about the nomes and rk happily shares his knowledge mono is also always trying to find ways to bring rk and six closer together, but always respects their boundaries, and rk appreciates it all tons now for sandy/rcg *evilly rubs my paws together*  starting with rk! dead buddies ahaha anyways like ive pointed out multiple times rcg sees the others as siblings, and rk is no exception! the two of them spend tons of time together, playing games usually with their nome friends!! sandy often drags him into doing things with her especially when shes trying out something new shes always happy to be there for him whenever he gets nervous about something (which. kinda happens a lot) and rk is there to comfort her in return when needed they share things with each other a lot, whether its information or physical objects or literally anything, they always feel the need to share it with the other  now six!! sandy is absolutely stoked to have a younger sister and six enjoys having an older sister as well sandy is always there for six whenever she needs something, and is working hard to gain her trust; she always gets excited whenever six wants to do something together, which in turn often makes six feel appreciated   i@dont even know what else to put here she just?? takes care of her very well ! she loves to tease six but always makes sure not to go over the line (kinda applies 2 everyone else aswell) mono!!! sandy adores his attitude and loves chatting with him, theres always something new to talk abt with him! they also have an unspoken “must protect six” code n chat about her a lot (all good things obviously)  even if they dont hang out too much she always has fun hangin out w him or getting together to plan stuff !!  i probably shouldve formatted this better bc ivre kind of already written rks relationship with everyone else but here we go anyways

rk and sandy!! rk is probably closest to her (and the nomes ofc) and just overall spends a lot of time around her, no matter what he’s doing he loves crafts, and sandy is always glad to join in making things, sometimes they make stuff for eachother  they also help out the nomes a lot together!! they make lil shelters/forts for them, sometimes for fun out of pillows and blankets and other times theyre more stable things, or, more often, they help clean out holes in the walls to make them liveable now mono!! rk loves to share his knowledge of the nomes with him, and they bond over other things too; for example both of them are interested in bugs :] actually they both adore most animals and rk is sure to let mono know whenever he finds a cool creature! rk also appreciates that mono tries to help six and rk become a little closer, as usually his schemes are harmless, whether they work or not  aaaand six! like i said before theyre not the best of friends and poke fun at eachother a lot, but when they need to team up they’ll somewhat tolerate each other. as much as he wants to, rk finds it hard to forgive six for yknow. eating him. six refuses to be very open about her side of the story, or atleast parts, which makes it a little harder, but theyre working on it and eventually they can atleast tolerate each other on top of that though, theyre also sort of opposites; rk thinks six is just mean and unruly, meanwhile six thinks rk is too soft and somewhat of a doormat  but again. overall they learn to put up with each other (barely)
