i really wanted to mix revival and older replica for this one. the thigh-high boots, sparkly, tasseled dress, and generally the wig are all revival inspired, but the curly fur stays and the makeup is old because i really do like the very dramatic, gothic grizabella looks. her coat is also heavily 2019 inspired with the length and stripey purple fabric

i also was not sure how i wanted to do her hair other than it covering one eye (SHOUTOUT TO THE FANART I SAW WHICH HAD THAT. I CANNOT REMEMBER THE URL) esp the color so i did a gradient of light grey to dark brown, which i REALLY liked ! it also helped me decide that shed be chocolate smoke instead of a tabby

i ORIGINALLY drew her design a month and a half ago with the headcanon that shes gus' caretaker but bro. that jellylorum & asparagus jr. & gus family angst potential was too great. so i redid her as looking closer to gus. :3

idk why but i decided to go with a 1940s inspired formal look for her.... i quite like the hat and think it helps her to stand out, so i'm comfortable in that decision. her fur design is also mostly replica inspired. enjoy her neapolitan ice cream makeup too

she also gets a pink nose and her collar from the 2019 version. idk why the collars went so hard in that movie

VERY replica inspired.... with notes of other productions. opera populaire had full glasses bustopher which i liked. an older makeup look also had stripes which i also thought looked nice (and makes him look more related to mistoffelees) ! there are also multiple bustopher designs that have the moustache and beard 2 for 1 dealio..... and decided to incorporate that as well

he also gets the fishbone hanky crevat thing and a fishbone brooch. i almost made his rose white but i liked the contrast of the red. enough that i decided to give him lipstick too . and youd best believe that he has a giant fucking pipe that he smokes out of

he also gets a collar similar to jellylorum's because i like the idea of them living in the same house :^3. his makeup is also pretty different from how it appeared in the 98 version because i wasnt really feeling it. i like stripes. so stripes he shall get

MUH OLD MAN... i love him. very much based on a bunch of different replica designs for him. he gets a beard and sideburns because i think i really do love the costumes w facial hair, and i think it just fits. he also gets glasses

he gets the coat and handkerchief (now a scarf) that typically hides the growltiger costume... which has a crisp formal outfit underneath. maybe he takes the coat off during his number to signify having moments of clarity and humor during his song

i do think in my interpretation hes well enough to joke around during his number and play the rumpus cat but like. damn you can tell this cat is old. hed be like 93 in human years

ANYWAY YEAH UH. shes very different from the replica deut and other nonrep deuts mostly thanks to judi dench, with her saying that her version of deut was a transgender woman, and her complaining about not looking regal enough in the movie. here you go girly. the nose freckles/dots from some replica makeup get to stay though

she gets a lot of design notes from her children. the grey from munkustrap, macavitys white eyelashes, eye and mouth makeup, and tuggers cheek heart. shes also a light grey to kind of reflect her appearance in 2019

Meet Shale!

Okay I made a proper introductory post for Shale! (Schist will come once I figure out their design) I'll make them a separate post for all the dialogue I came up with.

some spoilers for the game but not a lot, also tagging time: @doodlebug091 @mellow-mooon @sawyer-is-eepy @a-crawling-chaos (Just poking at my followers/moots who I know like Outer Wilds)

Alright! Let's start the bidding at this beauty of a reference. I know it's got some messy colors and no I don't know which layer the two random dots are on to erase them, but I'm proud because I drew this without needing to reference someone else's posing art. I just used my own arms and legs to figure it out and winged it and it looks like a person. I'm proud.

While we're on the topic, I might as well discuss my thought process for their design. This is Shale when they're not busy exploring dangerous ice asteroids. I tried to make the design look comfortable, and that's the main thought behind it. Shale likes scarves. They like fingerless gloves. They like baggier shorts. They despise long pants. They don't like wearing bright colors. They like grays and browns. It's Shale in their peak of comfort.

And then we've got this one! Also done without a pose reference. I actually did draw a whole spacesuit originally, but then covered it up with that big coat they're wearing. Anyway, Shale's suit is designed to be bulky, thick, insulted, everything they'd need to explore space properly. But to add onto that, they brought the scarf and coat for extra warmth on the Interloper. A lot of their patchwork fixes were done by them on the fly, and they even made their viola case all on their own. Shale uses yellow as their bright coloration because they hate the color orange. They have a ton of rope, ice picks, and grippy boots because they knew they were going to an ice place. And that antennae on their helmet is meant to pick up distant signals, so far it has not picked up anything new.

Now it's time for what nobody came here for, the infodump about their history and personality!

Shale developed a fascination with space at a very young age. Extremely young. All it took was young Shale getting one look through a telescope to become completely obsessed with the idea that they, someday, would join the well-known travelers out there and do something legendary. Sometimes, when things lined up right, Shale got to opportunity to talk to the travelers over radio. They loved hearing stories of Feldspar's glory and dreamed to be immortalized like they were.

Once they were allowed to join Outer Wilds Ventures and start learning how to be an astronaut, Shale wasted no time being both a delight to teach and an absolute headache to watch over. Whenever they weren't learning or doing their part in the village (Shale helped keep the observatory clean), they were working on their own little project. With some help from Slate, they attempted to make a jetpack just like the spacesuits had. They got precisely two attempts at this before they were shut down, but the first attempt went off mostly fine. Despite the device not working, Shale landed mostly safely in the water and their only injuries were some scrapes and a sprained ankle.

Shale never stopped writing new ideas, but didn't physically attempt any more jetpacks for a while. Instead, they focused on studying and getting closer to the other trainees they were learning alongside. They did grow close to the protagonist, and another recruit named Tin, though weren't able to click as well with the slightly older hearthians, Schist and Bismuth. Most of their time was still spent with their mentors, but whenever hatchling wasn't working with Hal on the translator, Shale liked to be around them.

When they were a little older and nearing the end of their training, Shale made their second attempt at the jetpack, and came out with a promising result. However, this attempt went far poorer than the previous one. For one, they moved the attempt location to avoid being caught by anyone, sneaking away to some of the further-out geysers with Tin (in case something impossibly went wrong). They even snuck a spacesuit (yoinked from the Zero-G cave), since their plan was to launch from a geyser and leave the planet, just for a moment (They didn't take the jetpack there because the entire point here was testing theirs).

The plan went smoothly, with Shale indeed getting launched from the geyser and coming close to leaving the orbit of the planet, except for the part where their jetpack failed. Catastrophically. It actually exploded on their back, pretty much destroying the "borrowed" suit, but more critically, burning Shale badly. Luckily, they had brought someone else with them, so Tin was able to (try and) catch them so the fall wouldn't kill 'em and then get help for them.

Shale got taken to be medically treated, and everyone agrees they're incredibly lucky to have survived as well as they did. In spite of the massive burns, the suit protected them from the worst of it and it was really only their back that got hurt severely. While the smaller burns along their neck and arms healed fine, much of their back burns scarred and took a lot of time and effort to heal.

So. Obviously Shale got in massive trouble.

Such trouble that not only did they move their launch date back (both for recovery reasons and punishment reasons) significantly, but the others considered forcing Shale out of the space program. In the end, Shale was allowed to stay a recruit as long as they 1) Did not try that again 2) Agreed not to sneak around again 3) Helped repair the suit they'd broken and 4) Spent some time after healing not being in the program (think getting suspended). While in this suspension period, Shale got to watch Schist launch off, still fantasizing about that being them.

Shortly after Schist was Bismuth, and as Shale's own launch date approached they were eager. Tin launched a few days before their own, and so Shale spent a lot of time reassuring them that it'd be fine and they'd do great things. Eventually, it was finally Shale's turn. After camping with Slate (and having an amazing conversation about 'Why did you do the stupid thing' - 'Why did you let me do the stupid thing'), they set off for their ambition: The Interloper. They were determined to find out where it came from.

This ambition proved harder than they'd thought, but it didn't deter Shale from their goal. They became an avid studier of ghost matter by extension of their Interloper studies, and theorized a lot about what happened to the core of the asteroid and it's origins. They also spent some time studying how to make ships designed for deep space, hoping that the frozen Nomai ship they found on the asteroid could hold the answer for that.

Some time later, Tin sent everyone frantic radio messages to come back to Timber Hearth and that they'd discovered something new. Tin desperately tried to explain how they'd found a new hidden spinning disk thing, but as time passed with Tin being unable to provide real evidence, Hearthians began dismissing their claims. Shale was one of the last to give up on Tin's ideas, but eventually waved them off as mad like everyone else. They feel bad for Tin and their situation, but don't disagree with their grounding and truly believe their friend went a little crazy.

After that, some time passed, and then we hit the events of the game. They did radio Hatchling plenty of reassuring words before their launch, though!

[Generation 1 iterators are the stocky initial proof of concept. There's only a handful of them, even fewer are still alive for the events of the game.

Gen 1's have very basic fashion. Long Robes and all that. NSH was the first to really personalize himself with a scarf. He was very proud.]

[Generation 2 are the most... abundant iterator model. Able to mechanically outpace the gen 1's, gen 2's were the start of the ancients' technological renaissance. Since there are so many of them, not all of them really care about staying in touch.

They take a lot of their fashion from the ancients. Some more than others.]

[Generation 3 were going to be the great new step foward technologically. As you can imagine the ancients disappearing gave them a lot of emotional issues.

Gen 3's tend to talk to other iterators the most, though they are... very easy to upset.

They base their fashion on their fellow iterators! They draw inspiration from those they are close to or idolize.

I can't believe I missed it! Yesterday marked 1 full year since I really started dedicating myself to digital art, after I drew this image because I wanted to play bomb rush cyberfunk. Pretty sure I started drawing it because I saw Twistcmyk made her own custom decals for that game and I wanted to make something like that too. So uh. Thanks for that Twist. Still haven't played bomb rush cyberfunk tho

not a bad starting place I'd say. Although maybe that's because it's not really the starting place and I've been drawing off and on again pretty much since I was born

I think this drawing really helped get my feet off the ground when it came to finding a style that works for me, and learning how to make other styles out of it. See, I've always had shaky hands so I've tended to gravitate towards a more scratchy style since smooth lines are often a challenge for me. And in a lot of cases I'd just leave a drawing as a sketch because finalizing it was very difficult.

being able to draw fast and loose like this is really a boon to get the creative juices flowing. It's the easiest way to draw for me, and I still like to leave it at that if I have a day where I want to draw but I don't want to dedicate more than one night to it

But nowadays I'm usually making art that's a lot smoother and takes a few more nights to finish. But that's still using the rough style. Usually I'll get a vague idea in my head and throw it on the screen with minimal care, and I'll zero in on how it's supposed to look draft by draft. Sometimes it takes 3 drafts, sometimes it takes, like 10

shown here a swordsmachine drawing I made a month or so ago, I still have the krita file on hand (because it's not technically finished yet, needs a final draft with color) so here's the drafts leading up to it

This process often involves a lot of cutting and pasting, resizing and the perspective tool to get a thing exactly where it needs to be. As for making lines as smooth as possible, I just have to take it really slow and sometimes go back, erase, draw it back, erase again. I won't lie it can still be a really tedious process

Like that swordsmachine, I've been making a lot of character portraits lately. Which has been a great exercise in posing, perspective and shading. Shading especially was something I've been needing practice with. I used to draw only with pencil of paper so using color in drawings is still somewhat a new thing for me. Having to figure out the lighting for each shot and which surfaces are whatever is very difficult but doing shading right can make a drawing look that much better

This is the thing I've been working on most recently, I think the shading looks pretty good, especially on the scarf. But I'm not really too sure about it.

Ok I've lost the pacing for this longpost. I wish I had a special drawing for the one year but I forgot until today. Maybe I'll make Anti in a birthday hat sometime later. For now here's some of my favorites over the past year

Unlike Solos, who had quite a few changes, and honestly I might still want to change a few things. Still pretty astounded that I managed to render it so well. This one was made because I told my friends I'd make myself a fursona if a poll about me being a furry reached 15 votes. Love stealing valor. This might be the highest layer count piece to date, I think it clocked in at over 60 with so many small details that you have to super zoom in to see. Regardless, I'm really proud with how I got the rotting flesh to look in this one

huzzah! 2023 art review!

it’s almost the end of the year, wowzers! i always do one of these art review thingies since i always like looking back at the art ive made :> last year i posted the review on my other account and left it at there, but this year i want to actually review each month and notable pieces i made… just for fun!

this post is very much just for me lol, but i hope someone out there enjoys it. month-by-month review + previous year in reviews will be under the cut! 🩷

(also, shoutout to tumblr for going rouge and posting this way way earlier than i had scheduled 😍 luckily tumblr post editor is weirdly based and kept all my embedded links when i pasted it from the old one? hell yeah)

Jan: started off the year with a painting of my beloved ocs after ending last year with one! (and i will be talking about my older year in reviews, rest assured). this was my obligatory cute shared scarf art, and i wanted to try attempting to render something more involved like two characters and draping cloth. i don't think the result was too shabby, though this was before i discovered my favorite rendering brush for procreate, so in hindsight, it looks kinda flat and boring now. where's all the crunch? ah but anyway, starting a whole year with your art in a mid place compared to what you made later on is par for the course.

Feb: probably the month where i had the least art to put here, i remember scraping a little to find one. this was a chrobin piece i made in my sketchbook! nothing too noteworthy... i think i tried doing a slightly different approach to coloring with markers (applying the color before the lineart) and incorporating paint, but i remember this one giving me trouble. first of all, the size i drew this in was really small (it was in a small sketchbook and i decided to mask the margins with comparatively wide masking tape), and second of all the paper was absolutely NOT built for gouache, so it ended up a kind of wrinkly and muddy mess. i mean i'm still not the best with gouache now but still, not my best.

March: a redraw of a robin piece i made back when i was still on amino. i probably won't share the old versions because they're crap, so just trust me on the redraw part. anyway, the last iteration of the concept was in 2019 i think? and while i was proud of it for a while, its luster finally faded and i decided to try doing it again in procreate. this was when i discovered my love for the soft chalk brush in the jingsketch basics brush pack. for a while i've been using the hard render brush in that pack to render, but this one's texture and chalkiness totally changed the game. i was in love!! also tried to be a little more crazy and vibrant with how i applied the base colors, using saturated colors across the board. this process didn't consistently stick, but i think it yielded some neat results here. another hit from this month was my piece of grandmaster robin, since i'm really proud of the detail here!.

Apr: guys, april was MY MONTH! i remember making so much art in just a few weeks, something just clicked in my brain i guess. i chose my drawings of hagane rin and len since this was when i truly began to get comfy in my lineart era (after the grandmaster drawing). this month was full of detailed line drawings at that, but this one was what made me both enjoy the process a lot and do more of it. hell yeah. other hits: vocaloids at mcdonald's (i drew a background omg!!!), alice in ny fanart (just the euphoria of finally nailing a composition for this piece after struggling with it in november was great), and the end-world normopathy fanart (it's a line drawing, and a traditional one at that. i was happy with incorporating gold accents into my typically monochromatic style when it comes to my line-focused drawings as well as getting tamari's mechanical details nailed).

May: hell yeah. evil power couple time. this one was another line-art heavy one since i thought it fit the vibe. the softer colors in the background i feel like could have been executed a little better, but i do like how this came out, especially the armor (good god fe armor is a pain to render, but i think i've gotten better at it this year! middle school me would be so jealous). not much else to say here. Other hit this month would be my alice of human sacrifice fanart, another line-heavy traditional drawing. i think it turned out nice, especially for a crammed composition lol.

Jun: another end-world normopathy-centered fanart. i mentioned it in my og post but i was trying out a slightly different painting style where i did a black-and-white base first and then added colors as an overlay (also in the initial upload of the post i was so fucking meek about posting fanart of mariyam's alternate design teased at the end of the mv?? 😭 sorry about that, i've edited it out but it's still in early reblogs. kind of cringe on my part). i didn't end up committing to this consistently cuz the beginning process was kind of tedious (plus i'm too inept to pay close attention to values anyway), but laying down all the colors after the long rendering process was rewarding! it's a nice alternative with i get bored with my other method to yield basically the same-looking result lol. this month featured some more pieces that tried using this process, like the one with my oc alice, lucina and dark pit hanging out, and f!robin's resplendent design from feh.

Jul: ah yes my typical flavor of "improvised oc art that i invent new symbolism for on the fly that i apply meaning to after i'm finished". kinda just wanted to paint something again because i've been doing a lot of line drawings lately and to go back to my old painting process again. honestly, i mainly picked this one because i wanted more oc art and non-lineart drawings to be in this chart lol. art i made this month that i'm real proud of is this family pic of some young cryptonloids (i really like how the colors came out on this one!) and my birthday drawing for miku's sweet 16, which was originally completed this month. i opted out of considering it for my july art to avoid confusion. also also, this very whack pathological facade fanart (plus some doodles i didn't post) opened my eyes to the beautiful world of NOISE and HALFTONES and just slapping crazy textures onto my art like nobody's business. hell yeah.

Aug: ok this one is kind of another piece i picked to represent this month that isn't quite my favorite but i chose anyway for the sake of variety (in this case, i wanted more traditional pieces and non-vocaloid stuff). for once, i used my bigger sketchbook to make a big n detailed piece for my boy's new brave alt in feh (that game has zero significance to me outside of cool alt costumes for my faves). my actual fave from this month was young miku/meiko/kaito chillin in their house; i'm real proud of the background and lighting! but i still like this robin too ofc, big fan of how the colors came out ;3

Sep: another traditional drawing! felt compelled to draw kandy again, specifically her evil miitopia great sage incarnation :> this one was pretty standard in terms of process, and not much was really done to experiment. just wanted to draw something cool of my girl for my sketchbook. other fave from this month is this sketchy miku i did, i like how loose it came out and how the colors pop.

Oct: pretty palutena!~ i think i went into this trying to do something a little different with my painting process (i think it was to try incorporating more colors in the shading like the blue in the dress or more saturated colors near the focal point, but i can't remember LOL) or try rendering a more detailed character w/ a background (even if the background was pretty vague). i like this one! especially the color cohesion, it's pretty swag imo. other faves from this month was fanart i made for the song "orbit" since i also like how the color cohesion came out for this one, and the maid dress/crossover drawing i made for cringetober. no other words needed to explain why.

Nov: another digital painting! it's yet another ghost song, this time "uncanny". i really loved the aesthetic of this song, especially its bold colors and simplistic shapes, so i wanted to try capturing it in my style. i really love how the colors turned out on this, though i've yet to truly recreate what i like about this particular painting again? regardless, it's one of my faves, deserving of one of my favorite ghost songs. few other highlights from this month would be my obligatory purple robin drawing for the month, my sketchbook drawing of my luka design, and my fanart of utsu-p's song "ga". i like how i was able to do a couple of my different "styles"/processes this month rather than just sticking to just one. they all have their own feel to them that i like to play around with depending on the idea.

Dec: and finally, we're at the end. like july, we have another heavily improvised oc drawing with symbolism i came up with on the spot. that's just how i do things. anyway, this turned out really good in my opinion! i tried to stick to a color palette i saved in procreate a long time ago, and damn is it a fine palette. it helped me get a little loose with the colors and solely focus on creating a strong composition with colors and contrast rather than get hung up on sticking to typical color palettes. i also really like how i did the background by essentially using the liquify tool to swish all the colors around and then polished it a little on top. made for a really cool effect. other notable work would be the companion piece i made with my other oc that had a similar style since i liked the process of this one. there will probably be more as of when i'm drafting this (at the beginning of december) but i just wanna be finished w this post already bro

all around, very satisfied with this year. there was kind of a lot of song fanarts (something that i am somewhat guilty about because it feels like i'm unoriginal or something, but i swear it's cuz i'm really passionate about vocaloid music and need to act on what my braincells do when i listen to certain tracks), but overall i'm happy i was able to maintain some slight variety in the art i made this year through my chosen mediums and "styles" or processes i use.

this was the first year where i really wanted to have a fully rendered piece i'm proud of to represent every month. now, i wouldn't recommend this since forcing yourself to make art is not a good mindset to be in (sometimes, with how early i pushed some pieces out in certain months to get the monthly quota over with makes it seem like i'm getting paid to have a pretty year-in-review LOL). i was pretty lucky to not really have much burnout i guess?

ok now that all that boring stuff is out of the way, here’s my previous years! this is the sixth year i have made an art review chart.

lightning round review time! (probably just gonna be more boring stuff)

2018: ok, so this was the year where my prime art hosting platform was… amino… specifically smash amino. as much as i could rant about how much i hate that place now, i cant deny that it got me creating a lot of stuff. also it was an actual date archive for my traditional art because i never got in the habit of dating my physical art 🙃 uh don’t mind the absolute horrid graphic design on this one. i grabbed a template which was probably saved from a bunch of other places from amino and… didn’t really know how the formatting was supposed to work. first of all, i edited this in picsart on my phone and the chart wasn’t transparent, and second of all i didn’t know you were supposed to crop only the main focus so it could fit and be a little more clear. hence why its such a visual eyesore. i've been meaning to remake it to make it a little less bad (once i get my hands on the traditional pieces again), but i guess its shoddiness adds to its charm, much like amino. but anyway, 2018 was a bit of a turning point year for me in the smash amino art biz. on amino, i mostly made copies of official artwork from smash (character renders and so forth), and this year i actually tried experimenting with my own original ideas and scenes (my copying roots were still around at this time tho, seen in the november drawing which is based on ssbu’s mural art. i mainly moved on to copying artwork from feh). this was also the year i got my ipad and finally got into making digital art. i didn’t have the knowledge of digital art that i have today obviously, so colors and lighting were usually on the plain side. i also hit my stride with making more ambitious traditional art that incorporated backgrounds and such, and they’re pieces i’m still really proud of!

2019: so, i actually made this chart some time in 2021 or 22 because i didnt make an actual chart in 2019 officially (i forgor). which bums me out because i deleted my amino account by then, so a lot of dates for traditional pieces were flushed down the toilet the one time i needed them. so, to compensate, i tried scraping any digital piece i could to fill in some spaces, which is why some are more underwhelming than others. but yeah since this isn’t fully accurate to my art progress that year, 2019 is a bit fuzzy. main thing of note that year is midway through i got really REEAALLY into fire emblem: three houses and drew a lot of art of the characters (not shown much on the chart because they were mostly sketches and whatnot). imo there’s not much improvement or stylistic changes from 2018 in this year to note. 2020 on the other hand…

2020: if it wasn’t clear, this was my jojo phase. i got into jojo at the end of 2019 and my downward spiral into jojo hell bled into 2020 :p as such, i made a lot of jojo art. and because i made a lot of jojo art, this was the year where my style shifted drastically. i feel like it’s a common phenomenon for artists getting a total stylistic makeover after getting into jojo. whether it’s to imitate araki’s style or just trying to accommodate the characters’… features, i ended up facing the same thing. gone were big round heads with tiny mouths and in were tree trunk necks and higher effort placed in learning anatomy, both for the full body and well as the face. it was around may of this year i got procreate and moved on from ibis paint for digital art. while i still have my personal hangups with procreate, im glad i ended up investing in it since it really just works for me!!

2021: around summer 2020 in peak pandemic mood, i decided to indulge in some nostalgia and listened to some old vocaloid tunes from my middle school days. and then i kept rediscovering more stuff, and then i ended up browsing producers' individual discographies, and uh yeah i am still suffering the consequences of my vocaloid renaissance to this day. while it wasn't prominent in the 2020 chart, it really started to leak its way into my art subjects in 2021. however, i still primarily stuck to my roots with fe/"smash"/jojo fanart. this year was mainly trying to find my style again i suppose? i had already learned the ropes of procreate, its limitations, and the options it has to aid with the art making process, so it was just a matter of flinging a bunch attempts at a ~style~ to see which one i liked the most. i did try finding a painting/rendering style a lot by way of copying (mainly guessing based on speedpaints) other artists' styles and process with digital painting which ended up growing into my own thing. i know they all sort of look the same, but march, april, and october of this year all had slightly different ways of doing all the shading n rendering for painting that i liked experimenting w/ in the future.

2022: by this point, i had fully gotten used to procreate and the methods i used to make art, and the vocaloid train had no signs of stopping. i think the main thing of note this year was that i was able to break out of the "5 million overlays of pink and purple color vomit" box my digital art was set it. while it used to amuse me when i first began abusing it in my art, i guess i just sort of grew out of it? it ended up making a lot of my art look homogeneous, and it took out the fun trial and error of picking the colors to match the atmosphere myself. i also tried to get more experimental with my compositions, mainly in trying to make them more dense with Stuff as well as finally get a little more comfortable with drawing backgrounds. besides those things however, i remember feeling my art progress was very stagnant this year, with not much noticeable change from january to december. perhaps i've gotten a bit comfortable with the state it's in. regardless, still a good year all around.

whew. THAT'S finally done with. if you made it to the end of this very me-centered ramble, congrats. i will probably make reblog additions in future years to continue this little saga. idk if i'll be as detailed as i was for the 2023 lineup, but we'll see.

Its called "That time Apart", and its an April Centered storyline/AU where she grew up with the turtles as her brothers and Splinter as her dad! Heres a small summary:

Hamato April O'Neil has grown up the past 10 years with her four mutant borthers and her Rat father. She's always questioned how she was the only human in her family, but she still loved her brothers and dad, training with them in the Hamato ways and fighting with her iconic bat, now equipped with throwing stars on her belt. She always wore her green mask around her neck as a scarf, and would go out a lot with her family and sneak them in places with their disguises. Splinter did ban her from a certain part of the city, though. She never knew why, but she would have these flashbacks about this man getting pulled away from her and attacked, forced into a car and she would be left alone... it must be nothing though!

Atleast what she thought, until the 5 started dealing with Draxum and the Foot Clan. Anytime near Draxum these splitting headaches would hit her, affecting how they fought. Was it something about him? She finds out her bloodbound family isnt exactly gone, but she is hit with the reality of what has truly happened with her biological parents. Will she be able to keep this all together and away from her brothers? Or will her world come crumbling down on how she knew it?

I also drew a rushed cover peice for it that I'm not proud of!!!

You sat on the dock looking up to see the beautiful stars that sparkled in the sky. You were in Wakanda and have been since Bucky was taken after the Accords. You knew a lot about working with his previous vibranium arm and Shuri asked you to stay while Bucky went into the ice so she could modify and make his new arm even better. 

Now Bucky was out of the ice shepherding goats in the village. He came to the lab everyday for his arm and for the words that haunted him every day for years to finally be erased from his mind. Everyday you and Bucky talked and he was really opening up to you.

He told you stories about the 40s and his childhood being friends with Steve. It was nice and you looked forward to getting to talk to him and spend time together everyday. Sometimes just like right now, you and Bucky spend time talking out on the dock until Shuri comes looking for you and him calling you back to the lab. 

So it didn’t come as a shock when Bucky needed some fresh air after not being able to sleep and saw you at the dock looking at the stars. He padded softly on the warm grassy field until he came up to you on the small wooden dock and sat beside you.

“Stars always never ceased to amaze me,” you whispered, keeping your eyes up to the sky.

“They’re beautiful,” he wasn’t looking at the stars. 

“Can’t sleep?” you asked, turning to him; he shook his head.

“You?” 

“Same.” 

There was silence and you slowly leaned closer to Bucky before resting your head on his shoulder. 

“Really proud of you know,” you broke the silence.

“Why’s that?”

 “You're opening up more; you're getting better.”

 “Thanks to you,” he wrapped his arm around your shoulder.

 “Me?”

 “Yeah.”

Another moment of silence happened again, both of you frightened that if you spoke you’d scare the other away. You could feel him so close to you. It wasn’t a surprise that you fell for the guy. Especially when there was a period in time where he only spoke to you after the ice. 

He really opened up to you and felt like there was a connection maybe? Or maybe you were just being silly.

“Can I kiss you?” Bucky spoke.

Or maybe not. 

You lunged forward, lips pressing firmly to his, arms wrapping around his neck eagerly and he smiled into the kiss wrapping his arm around you as well. He leaned forward gently and you moved your arms back slowly placing your back on the wooden floor. His lips traced your neck and you sighed at the feeling of his soft velvety lips against your skin.

“Buck,” you breathed out.

“Not here. Not outside,” you said.

“Why not, baby?” he kept kissing you making it hard to resist.

“Bucky, no,” you giggled.

He didn’t reply but instead lifted you making you squeal and laugh. He practically sprint across the grass to his small cabin; your legs wrapped around his waist and you were holding on to him for dear life laughing and giggling with him.

Bucky pushed the door open with his foot and placed you delicately on to his bed. You stayed on your knees in front of him and helped him with his shirt. 

“Wait,” Bucky said suddenly. 

“I’m so sorry. I’m going a little fast. I shouldn’t have done that without asking first. God what was I think-”

“It’s not you. God it’s definitely not you. You're perfect. It’s just. My arm. It’s not there,” Bucky said sheepishly.

“I know. Do you want to keep your scarf on?” you cupped his face. 

“Well, I don’t know,” he sat down with you.

“Hey don’t be upset. Look Bucky I really, really like you and the last thing that I want to do is make you uncomfortable or feel pressured. To do something you don’t want to do,” you told him. 

“But I want to, for you.”

“Don’t it for me, do it for you,” you whispered. Bucky leaned in and kissed you again, his hand rubbing your thigh softly.

“Can you help me?” he whispered.

“Are you sure?” 

“Yes,” he smiled. 

You looked into his eyes with gentle eyes; watching his face for any signs of discomfort as you slowly lifted his shirt. He took off the scarf and shirt altogether and you immediately caressed your hands across his skin. 

You took your own shirt off leaving you in a soft baby pink bra. Bucky looked at you with pure adoration in his eyes. You brought your hands to his shoulders and sat him back against the headboard straddling his hips. 

His hand reached around you and unclasped your bra letting fall between you. His hand squeezed your breast lightly making you moan breathy. His nose traced your jaw every now and then kissed and nipped at the skin. 

You stood up and peeling your pants from your body quickly returning to straddle Bucky’s stomach. Bucky’s hips lifted up bringing you up as well and almost ripped his pants off. His hand roamed the side of your body and his lips kissed your chest. 

He circled his tongue around your nipple and your hands went in his hair combing your fingers through his incredibly luscious long locks. 

“You are so stunning, baby girl,” Bucky whispered against your skin.

“Bucky please,” you moaned.

You reached down between your bodies and grabbed Bucky’s cock pumping it a few times. You lined it up with your entrance. You grabbed Bucky’s face and pulled him in a passionate hard kiss as you sunk down slowly. 

“Oh baby, you feel so good,” you whispered against his lips.

You held on tight to Bucky as you breathed heavily still feeling his heavy cock settled inside you. You looked down at his shoulder and grazed your fingertips across the scarred skin. Unfortunately you couldn’t remove much of the scarring that had been previously there from the Hydra hack job back in the 40s. 

You had been perfecting his arm the last few months to stimulate feeling in the arm so that he felt somewhat human again, his words. You thought he was strong; he’d been through so much and he did a lot of it alone. You didn’t want him to feel alone again. 

“Whatcha thinking about, doll?” Bucky fingers traced the creases in your back softly.

“Nothing,” you whispered and closed your eyes. 

“You sure?” he whispered back.

“I’m sure,” you kissed him softly.

Bucky kicked the blanket and caught it in his hand covering you both. His hand snaked up your hair and pulled it back with your head to make you look into his eyes. 

“Just wait until I get my arm, princess. I’m gonna ruin you,” Bucky whispered against your lip, making you giggle before you both fell asleep peacefully in each other's arms. 

The next morning, Shuri came outside into the field where Bucky’s cabin was to wake him. She always made sure he was doing alright and checked if there was anything he needed her help with. When she got there she was surprised to find you walking outside holding Bucky’s hand who is in fact shirtless. 

Shuri ever saw Bucky shirtlass outside the lab and that in itself was very rare. Your hair was in a slight mess but nothing particularly crazy; it was clear you two slept together. If the appearance wasn't convincing enough, when you were pulled back by Bucky his hand circle your waist and your hands cupped jaw to pull him in a, uh… passionate kiss and Shuri’s eyes widened. 

When she was sure you were gone she walked up to Bucky who was surprised by her presence.

“Good morning, Sergeant Barnes.”

“Uh, moring, shuri,'' Bucky said groggily still high from your intoxicating encounter.

“I assume you didn’t get much sleep?” she snickered.

“I slept very well actually. After we-”

“Ugh! I don’t need to hear about night shenanigans with my friend,” she covered her ears in disgust.

“I'm just messing with you,” Bucky chuckled.

“How long has this been going on?” she asked assuming this was a secret.

“Just last night.”

“Don’t worry; won’t tell anyone you're sleeping with your doctor,” she smirked, knowing that was illegal in his home country.

“Shuri, who are you gonna tell? You have no friends,” he walked back inside his cabin chuckling.

“Dick!” she yelled.

“I’m going to tell my brother!” she shouting, running away making Bucky come out with a scared look on his face; immediately chasing her to stop her.

Oh this is difficult, and gonna be recent-creation focused, I believe.

So here is this one, which speaks for itself, I believe because I put a TON of work and detail into it and challenged myself to the maximum of my artistic abilities coming off of a pretty rough patch:

And I'm very proud of what I achieved with this Ciri (and 2/3 of my Ciri pose studies, really, I feel like I got that girl right in those witcher armour sets)

Also this was meant to be as a little something while I was waiting for a reply from one of my commissioners, but in the end I fell very much in love with the mood I managed to capture between these chracaters (and the angle of Din's helmet is a mystery to me, but I feel like I did get it right in the end!)

And the one I haven't posted because I'm too self conscious about it (mostly when I remember how silly and happy I felt when I finally gave in a drew it, int he hopes of getting this new obsession with The Mandalorian out of my system ^^; I wasn't very successful, obviously lol) It's from March, but I love it SOOO much. Also I stared at helmet details way too much for my own good, and still failed to work out certain little things X"D

11. Favorite comment you’ve ever recieved on your work?

The one I currently cherish the most is that someone's left an "it looks like concept art" (or the equivalent of this feeling) in a tag under that black and grey DinCobb work of mine - and that singlehandedly validated all my previous struggles and dreams I've never even dared to voice before. It was a really nice feeling, okay?

But getting HE!!! as a tag is also incredibly rewarding :D I love that :D

20. What works have you drawn fanart of?

I feel like this is a trick question, and I'm doomed to get the answer wrong ^^; Are we talking fics I've drawn fanart of? Because that's quite a list in itself (since they are my major source of inspiration), or are we talking shows and movies and books? Or paintings?

I never thought i would finish this! 2nd - suit

For the 2nd prompt I had already character in my mind and it couldn't be someone else than William T. Spears from Kuroshitsuji / Black butler x')

But I stupidito watched musical "The most beautiful DEATH in the world" and cried two days for another character (and when I was drawing this one, my heart just hurt so much and still it's doing...).

So for giving out my feelings I also added Alan Humphries... 😔Why it hurts so much?!? </3

3rd - vessel

This one turned probably (for now) the best way it could... Yeah, there are many failures, but... I have never drawn a ship before ok?!?

Btw. The "Campania" is from Kuroshitsuji (inspired by real Titanic!) and the 2nd ship / vessel is Vestal destroyer from Bakugan - New Vestroia ❤️ You have no idea, how proud I'm for this one! 😍

4th - knot

And today post... What I can write? The knotted scarf itself was something and adding Joker with Beast there phew...

I had probably 7 references (for the different sides, the style of the scarf) and phew... I'm really happy that I ended my pain today (hell I've never known, how to do properly those things and badoom! What you don't want is here) x')

And yep... The characters are again from Kuroshitsuji / Black butler 🤔😅

It was a cloudy morning when you found yourself walking through the Hogwarts grounds. The sun had not shown itself yet but the tension headache that had formed from studying so hard begged you to go out for some fresh air. Not that you were complaining, you loved going on walks this time of the year; the beautiful range of colours that painted the Forbidden Forest's leaves, the fallen leaves crunching beneath your feet, the birds still chirping before they were off elsewhere for the winter season to come, the cold wind blowing through your hair refreshing anyone in little to no time. The only thing you were sad about at the moment was your boyfriend couldn't join you. You sighed pulling your scarf tighter around your neck as a gust of wind blew past. The sound of feet crunching under running feet brought your attention to the sight of a tall redhead running towards you. "Soph, my love, why didn't you tell me you were coming out here?" George asked as soon as he reached you, his hand immediately finding its place intertwined with yours without a thought, like an instinct. You shrugged, "You were spending time with the others and I didn't want to bother you." George smiled, tugging your hand to pull you closer and reaching out to safely tuck a strand of loose hair behind your ear. "You can never bother me. I love you too much to find anything you do bothering, even if others might." You buried your face into his green knitted sweater attempting to hide the blush crawling up your neck to your cheeks. George chuckled, his chest vibrating along, at your reaction. He leaned down to press a kiss against your forehead before pulling away. "And anyways, autumn walks are my favourite thing to do with you," he said causing you to smile widely. How you had ended up with such a perfect human, you shall never know. "Well, maybe after this," his voice dropping low with every word as he drew closer. The wind that blew past had no effect as the feeling of his lips pressed against yours warmed your entire body up.
