I’m in love with the Koko ! I’m so sorry, I had to use that line like once in public ok.

But for reals, girly! I’m so glad we like connected. Was it fate? Did the gods shine their light upon us? Are we just on a path that Cosmos and Materia crafted for us?? Ok lemme stop though, we’re cooler than any convoluted Final Fantasy plot.

It’s been an actual pleasure getting to know you over the last few months! I’m so happy you decided to take the time and meet me at Distant Worlds last year, and then we met again not too long after that! If I could, I’d set up play dates with you every month tbh. We live close enough, but our schedules are so busy! What an absolute waste, really.

I really enjoy writing with you and your Warrior of Light because each thread feels like a fantasy, like some fairy tale I’d read in a book or see in a movie. He’s like... the Classic Disney princes when they’re doing heroic stuff and not being weenies the other 85% of the films. And like it’s incredible how you can embody such vigor and chivalry and and leadership in every single thread. I love every time you grace the dash.

I know you’re just a little worker bee, but I wanted to do something anyway to showcase my appreciation for you. Try  not to get too overwhelmed, please!

Oh, Sam. Where do I begin with this? Other than the basics: I love you big bro.

I never anticipated that we would ever grow this close. I remember last year thinking you were one of the coolest people I had ever met & that it would be a honor for you to even notice me. I still feel that way to this day, even though you literally pay attention to me every single day.

It’s been a pleasure getting to know you over the last year. From shy and fleeting interactions to inside jokes, we’ve certainly flipped our friendship around and developed what I’d like to think is an unbreakable bond. I truly think of you as mi familia, mi hermano. I know I can come to you with anything & that you’ll support me on every endeavor. And destroy anyone who doesn’t, let’s be real here.

It’s amazing how much we have in common & how we share similar viewpoints on attitude and interactions, even if we don’t always deal with things in the same way. It’s always a fun time whenever we sit down together and talk shit gossip fill each other in on the scoop the daily news. And the few times we do differ in opinion, it’s always a learning experience for us. You learn to be a little more empathetic & in return I learn how to be a little more comfortable with being bold, assertive and... spicy? ( I could not resist I am so sorry sfouofihs ) Okay but y’all he’s Sam the Sass Master don’t let him fool you. ( I can hear you saying PLEASE already. I know you! )

Thank you, Sam, for always pushing me in the right direction, whether it’s to be more bold, more confident, more willing to take risks & to really go with what my heart tells me. I know I’ve become a much better person & I’ve even met wonderful people because of it. My life’s improved so much & I’m happier than I’ve been in ages, and I think if I hadn’t met you things would be incredibly different. In fact, I’m sure of it. 

So thank you for always being so willing to listen to me back then, back when I was just that small Yuffie who wanted to get your attention & went along with all the AUs you wanted to do. And for still being that person now. Thank you for being all the other things I’ve known you to be: Sam Bam, the Sambulance, the Man of Steel, Superman, the Seeker of Dankness, Sam the Sass Master & I swear I came up with a new name for you the other day but I just can’t remember it goihsdf. Let me live.

I hope you have a fantastic & wonderful time with your loved ones. And that you recognize that you too are a wholesome bean capable and worthy of the most wonderful of things. May you have many more years to come!

My dear sweet humble Merryweather! I may not have known you for super long, but let it be known that I thoroughly enjoy every moment of conversation we have and every post you have on the dash. On all your blogs, actually. That’s right, I peep you on all your new muses and will support you on all of them. Throw yourself at me. 

It’s been a joy to see you develop your muses, particularly Squall, and all the verses you come up with! You’re so creative? And I love being able to interact with him in a variety of ways, whether it’s VII, VIII, or KH. I’m looking forward to having Dissidia writing with him and Garnet, and doing some stuff with Ivalice in Balthier. I’m so happy that no matter what, our muses seem to get along and have chemistry. Bless them.

And speaking of which... this ship? Talk about adorable! I’ve always wanted to explore Yuffie as a teenager doing... idk... normal teenager junk like sneaking out and going on night drives and eating out and just... wholesome things? Her entire life she never does anything typical, not until like post-DOC and it’s a dang diddly shame. And it’s so great to see her do this with Squall of all people, who like in your VII verse actually has a decent background and his only thing is that he’s just awkward and finding his way. And like he finds his way with her & she’s unlikely but it works out because she’s not the typical kind of girl, and... ugh. You’re ruining me, Merryweather! But thank you so much for like, being willing to have this ship with me and explore this dynamic and... you the MVP.

Seems like I can’t learn my lesson after how we argued over your birthday lmao. But even so, I still wanted to do something considerate for the season because...well, you deserve it. You do so much for everyone else all the time & you’re so willing to overlook and neglect your own needs to do so. So here’s an opportunity to just take something without feeling like there’s something attached, without an obligation, without any type of guilt at all.

As the whole universe probably knows by now, we’re best friends. Despite my weaknesses and my faults and my fears, you’ve decided to be at my side and coach me through it all. When I’m sad, you feel it too. And when I’m happy, you are as well. Though I can say all my friends support me & love me in one degree or another, you constantly remind me what it is to have a friend and keep a watch out for those who would do me harm. As you would say, “ I gotcha. I always got your back. ”

So I wanted to give you a token of my appreciation, even if it is super small, because you’re great & one day I hope you really feel that way yourself. But until then, I’ll be here to remind you as well as all the friends you’ve made here on Tumblr! Gaise. I didn’t expect here to be so long. I didn’t think I’d pick up popularity. I certainly didn’t think anyone would notice me. But here we are at 630 followers ( despite my recent inactivity, omg I’m so sorry, I’m never home these days & I’m so exhausted ) & steadily growing ! 

I don’t even know what to say. I’m just really speechless. But seriously? I’m utterly shocked at how successful this blog is. I didn’t think I’d attract a crowd, considering I don’t see a lot of people talk about Yuffie, nevermind in a positive light-- but yet here we all are! It’s been such a wonderful experience getting to write as this young woman, and it’s my hope that she (as well as I! ) can continue to entertain you further.

I’m so thankful for the friendships I’ve made here & those Yuffie has been able to make as well, and it’s my hope going forward that we continue making bonds, to continue to grow.

I can’t tell if this is a joke I’m not in on or if y’all actually like me this much ;; 

But seriously, I’m incredibly honored && blessed to have reached such a milestone. Yuffie is my shining star, my darling, my inspiration && she keeps me going, tbh. She’s like my other half: we counteract each others’ weaknesses with our strengths && vice versa. Forgive the cliché, but this child is my pride & joy && I’m so glad I can celebrate her achievements with you.

There’s so many of you who I’m ever grateful for. I’ve made incredible friendships here during my 6.5 month stay ( half-year, half-grand? y’all) && had so many great experiences with you, whether it’s through our daily conversations, gift exchanges && even vacations together!
