Maria would be wanted for so many crimes (including, but not limited to: arson, murder (assassination), murder in the 1st degree (three counts)). Unfortunately, she runs the country and no one would try to take her to court.

Copper, Rust Red, Royal Blue, Cream White, Gunmetal grey I think most people would assign Maria to be the same. Those are her signature colors.

Maria is the poster girl for ostentatious (fantasy, not totally accurate) 1890s fashion. She loves her big crinoline/bustled skirts. She loves delicate lace work. She loves ribbon chokers. She wears red, black, and blue, and that's about it. When she is at home, she wears comfortable lave and velvet tea gowns. I think that when she goes adventuring, she steals Strahd's shirts and wears them with a corset and high waist-ed riding breeches. She loves to wear her hair down.

Maria loves fashion. She was, last time she checked, up to date on all the latest Barovian fashion plates. I can only IMAGINE how much she'll love clothes from different cultures once she gets to explore the outside world.

The closest thing Maria would have to a cult would be a circle of noble ladies who sort of bend to her will. They would be your usual court ladies. They would be fashionable, well-mannered, and cunning.

Maria does not have a lot of clothe s(by our standards. By Barovian standards, she has a lot). She has a full set of outfits for every season. She doesn't actually need to worry about the weather; Hot and cold don't actually bother her. No, she needs to remain fashionable in all seasons though. Wouldn't be caught dead wearing a summer lingerie dress in December.

Tbh, her greatest "indulgence" is probably sex. She doesn't have any real vices. Wine and drugs don't affect her because she's a construct. Violence isn't necessarily an "indulgence" but something she does when she has to. I don't think she would see any kind of food as an indulgence. I don't think she would do anything she considered "indulgent" publicly.

I do think, however, that she spent enough of her life living with Religious Repression that she would consider sex an indulgence.

🥰 Smiling Face With Hearts - What do you love about OC? What events, art, work do you love to put OC in?

Tbh, I loved Maria's character trajectory. I loved how I intended for her to be a soft, naive sacrificial lamb for the plot, and at some point her trajectory changed to "I will use love to save the world, and I don't stop trying until it kills me." I loved how one of Maria's defining traits was her ability to love, and I loved that that's what made her a villain. I loved her corruption until her story arc of "became a villain because I fell in love" mirrored the path that Strahd took to become what he was.

I draw Maria so much. I would love to draw more casual art of her. She's my fave character I've ever played.

Maria, when she is so inclined, which is rarely, will do acts of service for other people. She may not *like* doing it, but she will try to do things for people.

This is also, unfortunately, how she tries to get people to do things for her, so watch out.

Literally any amount of resistance when she's talking. She doesn't like when people disagree with her. Whether or not she is correct is irrelevant.

A - Aodh'a Nbolo

One of my miqo'te boys! A kind of reserved, blunt, and grumpy conjurer who runs a clinic in Gridania where he treats people at little to no cost. He is a deeply caring person who is extremely bad at expressing himself and full of anxiety bees. Also has like four kids now (three he gave birth to, one he adopted as his own that's the daughter of his mate/partner by another mother) and the youngest two are twins and he is so tired all the fucking time for real.

E - Eyes

Not much to say because it's an OC I had when I was like 14 that I mostly just drew art of. I don't think there was anything I ever really like... did with him outside of that? He started with silver hair but I ended up making it bright blue later. I think he was blind maybe and the name was ironic??

J - Josef Hamilton

Dumb werewolf whose twin sister was a vampire, and he was pretty relentlessly cruel to her about that. Also just depraved bisexual vibes. I don't remember much beyond that about either of them, except that his sister was married to a rockstar AND had a girlfriend/wife (not legally married) and I think Josef was kind of pissed she got to be happy with her partners and their shared children.

K - Kaenea Dawnstar

Blood elf paladin I played for actual years. She was a war veteran involved in the Third War and the Northrend campaign, both of which profoundly scarred her emotionally as well as physically. She was a bit of a complicated mess determined to do the right thing in a world that... made that very difficult, a lot of the time. I love her.

Q, U - Nothing for these, unfortunately.

V - Vanessa Harley

Originally started as a Silent Hill OC with a split personality and got reworked. Her other personality just became her twin sister instead named Valerie. Vanessa is a violinist with a love of music and a quiet, soft personality contrasting with her twin's fiery passion. They also share a telepathic and empathic bond with one another. So that's neat.

Z - Zion Tobias

Used to be a doctor, then he died and went to hell and became the side piece/personal manservant to Lucifer. Don't worry about how that works. I think he later got with a nurse if I recall? I dunno, he was. A guy.

6. How does your Dark Urge react to waking up with memory loss?

Jack wakes up with no memory and kind of not a lot of personality to start, which is eerie to the people he meets because he just seems so emotionally detached from everything around him. (He snaps out of it later and starts to kind of revert to some of his more benign tendencies pre-tadpole.) Overall he actually reacts quite calmly, but that's probably more to do with shock and the whole like... we're gunna crash if we don't do something about this ship crashing thing. Practicality.

He does spend a lot of time muttering "my name is Jack" to himself over and over again in some effort to like... make sure he doesn't lose the one piece of himself he remembers. This is also kind of weird to everyone he meets, before they realize what's up.

13. How does your Dark Urge feel about killing?

Pre-tadpole? He's good at it, but for him it's more practical and clinical than something he takes joy in. He kills for his father's approval, not because he enjoys the act of killing anyone. Post-tadpole, the ease with which he kills people (and doing while not in control of himself) is something that deeply frightens him, to the point that he actively avoids doing so if he doesn't have to.

22. What first impression does your Dark Urge give off to strangers?

"Sad wet cat man. Are we sure he's the Chosen of Bhaal? I mean look at him, he's got anxiety and he keeps clutching the pale one like a fucking freak."

Do you think all blood tastes the same or maybe Strahd and/or other Ravenloft vampires have preferences?

ooh I LOVE this question! in my opinion and from some sources i love to pull from, i can super excitedly say all blood taste varies!

strahd can taste alcohol, drugs, or stuff that can influence the blood

strahd can taste the flavor/texture/quality of it, which he can use to make educated guesses on their condition/illness/state of health

strahd can gain more/less sustenance from a creature based on their alignment

good alignment creatures (even religious ones) give more sustenance, and more likely to be an addictively delicious flavor

corrupt/dark/undead creatures give less/no sustenance, and may taste like anything from dull to addictive

creatures with high faith/religious influence may have a stronger/'negative' flavor

blood is/can be allergenic

emotion (of the creature and of the drinker) affects the flavor

both creatures have an intimate experience related to the process of it, this intimacy is based on vulnerability, and a sensation of an internally woven connection of your veins/blood/heart to theirs

the deeper the intimacy/willingness of both sides are, the more intense/dangerous/vulnerable it feels for both sides

blood can be stored/saved, but loses its 'freshness'/sustenance due to not inhabiting the creature/'soul' it belonged to

speaking of flavors! its my head canon that...

willing blood tastes sweet with bittersweet/savory undertones (like a nicely prepped filling/satisfactory meal)

unwilling or resistant blood tastes more sweet/savory, more potent (like how we feel for 'junk food')

fear and disgust have 'negative' flavors, such as sour, spicy, bitter flavors (like dirt, black coffee, dark chocolate, spicy food, citric, acidic)

blood from creatures with faith/religious affect can have a 'negative' flavor or undertone, can cause physical burning, numbness, nonlethal but negative physical reactions (spice/peppers, cinnamon powder, bitter medicine)

healthy creatures taste balanced with a blend of flavors (muscled creatures have a hearty, rich flavor; frail creatures have a more simple/less 'seasoned' flavor; creatures' consumption intake influences the taste of their blood)

adrenaline (regardless if excitement or fear) heats up the blood, making it taste more fresh (like microwaving your meal)

the type of creature/species affects the blood, but mostly due to their culture/adaption/diet/consumption accessibility, as well as how their genes/body work with their blood (like a lightweight alcoholic vs a heavyweight alcoholic will taste different, because the heavyweight has genes/evolution that give them higher alcohol tolerance, so more fermented blood)
