Linzi’s 2023 Thank You Post!

I feel like every year I get here and wonder how the heck it got to December 31st! And yet, here we are again!

Funnily enough, as I read back my 2022 thank you's I told you this blog would be changing a little... and guess what? I never really got that done! Maybe I will in 2024! (I suppose you can watch this space!)

I did however, actually write so much more this year, and posted a lot of it too, so I can say that goal was accomplished! And I hope 2024 brings more of that inspiration! To my fellow writers also! 🤗

 I would like to say thank you to everyone for being here! For still enjoying the fics I wrote years ago, and my new work too!  For those of you that have commented or DM'd me! Or for those of you that I have messaged (one of you for the first time, despite being moots for 11 years!🤯)

I would like to thank @sagitariusrising and @sufferthesea for their continued support in everything! You two always push me to write better than I ever have before, and I value your friendship and encoragement

@alotofrandomfangirling - I mean, I don't have the words to express how much the past few months has meant to me - it's been so fun idea swapping and curating with you and just getting out all the ✨FEELINGS✨ towards some of these idiot swordsmen we are catching feelings for (and their actors, too!) Thank you for being there any time I've thought "Wait, but does this even work!?" 🤣 Doubtless, there will be more times like that!

@mandy23b - Hard to believe it's going to be 5 years next year [again, you're never getting rid of me!😜] Thank you for always being someone understanding, who I can talk to about the good and bad things in this roller-coaster of a year! (And for sharing yours with me too!) You truly are my best friend, and I can't wait to see what adventures we get up to in 2024!

And - what you're really wanting to see, of course! 😉 - here are my Men of 2023! Either because I spent a lot of time with them in my head... or writing for them... or letting them live rent free in my mind (Looking at you, Serge! Your movie isn't even OUT yet!) or because I supported them this year in there respective sports (or maybe a little of all of those! 😁) What I can say for sure is every single one of them brought me joy in some capacity, and isn't that the main thing?

I'm looking forward to whatever 2024 brings! Here's to a good one! 🍾🥂

Procurement and trafficking ? Yes. Orson has frequently bought and sold drugs to others whether they are friends or acquaintances he wishes to impress. His particular background has given him some insight about crime syndicates in the universe. In canon , we see that he knows how to find smugglers , has an understanding of how they operate , and has hired them for his own use.

As for consumption ? Generally no. He engages in many risky activities but to risk his brain — the most valued possession in his arsenal isn’t something he’s willing to gamble. Hard drugs are an absolute no , however soft drugs may be negotiable. In a verse with @auroradicit​ ; he does offer himself as an experimental guinea pig in return for certain services. However , it should be noted that there’s an element of trust here. He trusts that Ceah ( RP partner’s character ) wouldn’t destroy his body.

Last Movie: Top Gun: Maverick (Well like half of it yesterday, because twitter wouldn’t shut up about Glen Powell so here I am. And also for characterization research purposes.) ((Full movie? Shazam! ...The first one!))

Last Series: Drive to Survive Season 5! Which I watched With @mandy23b 🥰 Believe it or not we finally got a Checo episode! 👌

Sweet, Savoury or Spicy: It honestly depends on the craving butttt, usually sweet!

Craving: So I was sick all this past week, and all I really wanted to eat was toast and butter, but I also ate a lot of Marmite for the first time in a while with that - so yeah, probably that! Also D:BH content, because apparently that’s my go to when I’m sick!

Tea or Coffee: Neither. I’m almost exclusively a water person. By the time I’m finished with tea and coffee it is neither of those things anymore. More like... milk and sugar with a hint of either.

Currently Working On: ...Oh so. I have one actual WIP I’m writing, then I have 10 finished and ready to post once I’ve finished editing for a new Era that is not hard to guess-!

AN: SO I only realized after, I posted the wrong version and I am so annoyed. Here is the edited correct version.

Placing her fingers on the ground, she threads them through the grass as she takes in the sight before her.

The mysterious man, a Viking, bathes in the waters on his own. In the distance, the rest of his group relaxes in the woods.

All the other nymphs went into hiding, waiting for these large men to take their leave before resuming their routines.

It was rare, having humans out here. Whoever these men were, they found themselves on a barely visited part of land.

Abiona watches as he washes his arms, the water taking away the dirt and revealing clean skin.

Her eyes follow his movements, settling on his broad back. He looks strong, steady. She wishes she could remove the dirt for him, to feel his skin under hers. She imagines running her finger over his neat braid, only to undo it and see him with his hair down.

While the others felt fear, with valid reason, she found herself hypnotized. Who was this man?

He turns in the water, revealing his profile. The white hairs peppered in his beard make him look wise. The revelation of his handsome face, though tattooed, only deepens her attraction.

But his eyes, they caused her to frown. He was indeed an unhappy man, a tortured man, a man with regrets. Even so, she could see underneath all of it he was a good man, a man with so much love to give. Love that turned sour and sat stagnant with nowhere to go.

Moved to tears, Abiona wipes her eyes and silences a sniffle. At that moment she must have done something wrong. When she looks back up, the man's heavy blue eyes are on her.

The grumpy expression on his face is now replaced by curiosity. When his lips part, Abiona panics and sinks behind the hill, quickly retreating back to the caves.

I want to write him soooooo bad. I have for years but I just - there is this wall and I don’t know how to break through it. I dabbled with a fic I have on hiatus but that’s it. And I know once I get the swing of it, I’ll enjoy it. I adore him so much. 😔

Linzi’s 2022 Thank You Post

How did this come around so fast? I still remember making last years!!

So, in true New Year spirit this blog will once again be changing around in 2023... I’ve already started changing my layouts but there’s some other stuff coming 😁✌ Just gonna take me a while to figure things out! (No URL / pfp changes though, so - I’ll still be me!)

And uh, hopefully I might post some actual writing in 2023, because this year I posted exactly 2.

Gotta say thank you to The Band Camino. It’s always an incredible feeling to find a band that can articulate what you cannot whether you’re at your best or your worst, and this year they helped me through some difficult months... And to Starset, once again topping my most played artists, as they should! 😁

Anyways, enough about me! I would as ever like to say thank you to everyone for still being here! 

And especially to those of you that have put up with me over the course of the year through jumping around fandoms and all my DMs 😉
