What if 'the Green ninja' episode, Kai leave Lloyd at the volcano. What will happen? Is Lord Garmadon will kill him? Any hc? QwQ

are y’all okay? the angst levels are so high in my ask box for no reason 😭 /lh

anyway, going to be placed under a read more tag. content warnings for lloyd gettin’ hurt like… a lot. mentions of burning and fire, burn scars, things like that. and tons of angst.

i really can’t see kai purposefully leaving lloyd at the volcano. like, he’s desperate to prove himself and get the fang blade, but he can’t just leave a kid to sink into lava and die. it’s just not in character for him.

so that’s why when it happens, it’s accidental. when he reaches his full potential, and is able to get out of the volcano, lloyd falls, rather than safely being held in kai’s arms. he sees lloyd fall onto a cliff in the volcano, fire jumping up and threatening to catch his clothes.

kai lands in the bounty, weakened by his powers being fully unlocked. he’s trying to push himself up, yelling about lloyd being stuck back there. jay’s trying to tell him to relax, since he looks like he’s about to collapse, but he pushes him away, begging nya to fly back to the volcano so he can get lloyd.

garmadon’s eyes widen, and kai’s met with a “you left my son in that volcano?”

he nearly throttles kai, but wu and cole hold him back.

“we can still get him! nya please!” and his voice breaks because of how desperate he is to get that poor kid to safety.

so say they’re able to land close enough to the volcano without anything damaging the bounty.

the first to get off are kai and garmadon, who immediately book it inside, not caring there’s lava and shit everywhere.

when they walk in, they see lloyd on the edge of a very small cliff, curled up in a ball, extremely close to falling in the lava. he’s barely conscious.

both of them do spinjitzu to reach lloyd. garmadon scoops him up, and kai’s able to use his powers to get them all out of there.

once they get him back to the bounty and safe, he’s… not doing too well. they lower his hood, and he’s got burn marks on the side of his face leading down his neck, on his arms, and on the side of his body. parts of his clothes are singed, and he’s got tear stains on his cheeks. the poor kid was absolutely terrified he was going to die.

wu and garmadon quickly start to tend to his wounds, and when kai tries to help, garmadon grabs his wrist with a bone crunching grip. kai is about to question it, and garmadon just says “you’ve done enough.”

garmadon roughly lets go of his wrist, and kai backs away, guilt eating away at him. his team tries to assure him that it wasn’t his fault, and that it was an accident, but he can’t shake the guilt. even after garmadon realizes it was an accident and kai tried to save him.

it’s his fault this kid is going to have permanent scars, and it’s his fault this kid is hurt and probably traumatized.

Some Non-Angsty Lloyd Headcannons

Bc my boy deserves happiness and I don’t have the mental energy to keep studying for my AP tests

- he’s super pale so when he blushes it shows. he gets easily flustered, too so he’s always bright red

- He also sunburns super easily. He could literally walk outside for 5 minutes and he’ll be sunburnt

- When he was a kid, if the ninja ever did anything to him, he would fake cry very loudly until they apologized and promised him something in return to stop crying before sensei found out

- His broken leg from season two healed with the golden power, but when the overlord drained it and he gave it away, the healing kind of stopped. Because of that, Lloyd has a slight limp and favors his left leg

- If he’s weak, injured or stressed it’ll start hurting again.

- He’s a perfectionist and needs everything to be perfect. This often results in him practicing the same one move over and over and over until his body physically cannot do it anymore or until it meets his standard of perfection. (usually the first)

- The other ninja tutor him after he left darkly’s. Jay does math and physics, Kai does literature, Cole does history and Zane does biology and chemistry. He actually gets a regular education when there’s no imminent threat

- Speaking of education, Lloyd is horrible at math. He tries really hard but it just doesn’t click in his mind, especially when variables are introduced. This combined with his perfectionism are a horrible combination

- He and jay have so many starfarer marathons and go to cons together as often as they can. They’ll have detailed, analytical conversations about every episode and comic

- His favorite candy flavor is strawberry or strawberry kiwi. He also loves sour flavored anything

- He absolutely cannot handle spice. The ninja make a game out of giving him different foods to see if he can handle it.

- Yells “do it for the vine!” When he or anybody else is about to do anything stupid

- Only plays the role of “responsible one” on missions, otherwise he’s a wreck with the rest of them

- He and Kai have a million random inside jokes that nobody get. Because of this, they’re not allowed to stand next to each other during training. They’re a “distraction to yourselves and everyone around you,” according to Wu

- Is a really weak reader, but the others do teach him

- His best subject is English/literature

- Lloyd loves cats (and dogs) and uses his green ninja privileges to pet literally everyone’s dogs

- Lactose intolerant

- He will never get over that fact that people consider him their hero. He doesn’t exactly feel deserving of it and it’s a surreal feeling

- He plays the violin. He was required to pick up an instrument at darkly’s and he vaguely remember garmadon playing the violin for him when he was young, so he picked it

- Once he began living with the ninja, Cole started to give him piano lessons

- Loves gentle rain, but absolutely hates storms

- Will cuddle with literally everyone. At first, he was really hesitant because he didn’t want to come off as needy, but after the others assured him that it didn’t make him a burden, he began to take every opportunity to hug and cuddle the others

- He always initiates a group hug after every mission, regardless of how small

- Holds his friend’s hand if he ever feels uncomfortable in a situation

- Really, really shy. Because of that, he hates giving public addresses. He’s very awkward meeting new people and fans too

- He loves hugging fans though

- He’s really self conscious and hates wearing revealing clothes

- He also hates photoshoot and tries to avoid them at all costs. He sometimes sends Kai instead as a joke. Both Kai and Lloyd are 100% okay with that.

- Is the absolute shortest on the team, standing at 5’1.

- He loves Kai and Nya to death and would fall on his katana for their happiness and wellbeing

- He Looks up to both of them so much and they’re the first people he goes to if he has a problem

- He’s super ticklish and the others take total advantage of it

- Hates celebrating his birthday and wants it to be a really small affair

- Sleeps with so many pillows and stuffed animals and needs to be hugging something or someone while he’s sleeping

- He Hates being the center of attention

- Sends so many memes on the ninja group chat. 90% of them are cat memes

- Hates coffee and tea

- Has Years of fatherly affection to catch up on so after he gets garmadon back he’s literally always with him, hugging him, getting piggyback rides from him and just being with him in general

- Has a really close relationship with Mystaké, even before season 8 and had a complete mental breakdown when she died

- He often went to her shop in the wake of garmadon’s death

- Literally always cold so he spend 90% of his time in a blanket burrito and

- He makes a point to Tell his brothers and sister that he loves them every day

- Knew Nya was samurai X before anybody else and helped her make the suit

- He often has late night talks with Nya and Kai where they just sit on the deck of the bounty and get whatever they need to get off their chests

Seven Deadly Sins

Warning: Swearing, suggestive themes because lust but no smut and uh, evil ninja.

Glowing green eyes took in the hustle and bustle of New Ninjago City at night with a sneer. Everyone must be going on the merry way home to their perfect little families, to their cozy, lavish homes. He hated them. His family was nothing like theirs. He lived in an abandoned ship for fucks sake. And he had to share his room with the others. His life fucking sucks comparing to theirs. He spotted a group of teens from the 20 story building. He hates teens and kids the most. He wanted to grow up like they do. Not as suddenly as he had. One second he was a kid, thw other he went through a massive growth spurt and was suddenly grown up.

He rubbed his slightly throbbing horns that gree upwards, signaling him to be of royal blood. He didn't care much for that right now. Will the stupid pain of growing these things ever go away? He tsked before jumping the wide space between this and the next building, keeping his clawed hands tucked into his hoodie. He walked along the rooftop, his tail flicking irritably.

“Well well. If it isn't the prodigal son.” Lloyd sneered, looking across at his cousin.

“Shut it Morro. What the hell are you even doing here?” He grouched as he walked by him and Morro leaned off the air conditioning unit, his black upwards pointing horns gleeming in the city light as he followed after him.

“You know how the old man is. He worries.” Morro shrugged, using his wings to glide across to the next building as Lloyd jumped. “Also, he wants you home for dinner.”

“So he sent you of all people.” Lloyd says flatly, glancing back at him and Morro sneered, flashing his fangs.

“Don't fucking test me Lloyd. I'll blow you clean off this roof.” He growled at him and Lloyd looked at him unimpressed from over his shoulder.

“Right. And I'll fall and die. Like I don't have wings too.” Lloyd huffed, spreading his black wings he has he spoke.

“You little-”

“Let's go. The old man is pretty scary when he's angry.” Lloyd says, looking down at the city from under his nose before taking flight.

Morro growled but followed after him.

“For fucks sake Cole stop eating for five fucking seconds so everyone else can get some jeeze.” Nya growled, shoving him away from the table.

“Fuck you! The lamb was put in front of me so it's mine!” Cole growled then pushed her back, snatching the entire half lamb left and scurrying onto the ceiling before he continued eating.

“If you drop anything on my clothes, you're gonna be the one to wash them.” Zane commented, reading a book as he slouched in his chair.

“Hey, can I have it when you're done reading it?” Jay asked, leaning over to peer at the attractive looking book.

“Whatever.” Zane shrugged.

“Hey big boy… How about you and I have some fun after your meal?” Kai purred as he stroked at Cole's arm from on the ceiling with him.

“Hey! What about me?!” Jay pouted.

“I don't see why I can't indulge with the both of you…” Kai shrugged, looking up- or rather, down at him.

“Morro and Lloyd aren't back as yet it seems.” Wu says with a frown.

“They're on their way.” Nya says as she ate what she could salvage from Cole's never ending appetite.

“Speak of the devils.” Zane murmured before using a huff of breath to turn the page. “Shit. Wrong one. Oh well…” He sighed then read on.

“So glad you boys made it in time.” Wu says once they walked in.

“No thanks to Mr. Prince here.” Morro huffed as they took their seats.

“You speak as if you are not also a prince.” Wu says with a smile before taking his seat. “My brother should be here any moment now.” He says and there was a flash of purple.

“Son?!” Garmadon gasped once he appeared in the room and Lloyd looked at his four armed father with an unimpressed expression.

“You know, one would think you would have gotten used to Uncle Wu and his deception by now.” Lloyd ssys drily, looking down at his chicken dish with a sneer.

Somewhere out there, someone was having lobster and steak and caviar while he was eating this.

“I wouldn't be very effective at what I do if he did now would I?” Wu ssys with a smile.

Garmadon sighed.

“Honestly Lucifer, you-” He was cut off by being pinned against the wall by his throat, gold and red blended eyes glaring him down as his true, younger form surfaced.

“I told you not to call me that! It's Wu!” He snarled at his brother, long fangs flashing at him.

“Fucking fine!” Garmadon snarled back then pulled his arm away from his throat and threw him across the room, through the side of the ship. “But you know I despise choking.” He sneered.

“Look. We rebuilt the ship perfectly after your last fight and as much as I totally could all by myself if I wanted, I rather not. Could you take this to the Underworld?” Nya says with a sneer, tail flicking with her irritation as Wu hopped back into the Bounty.

“What are you talking about? We barely managed to piece it together.” Zane murmured, completely unphased as he kept reading.

"No thanks to you." Jay huffed, getting on the ceiling too.

“Look. Why did you call me here in the first place? Our father has gone who knows where to do who knows what and I have to rule the Underworld until he decides to come back.” Garmadon reminded him irritably.

“Well, Satan, we only wanted you to join us for a meal. When was the last time you've seen your son?” Wu huffed, talking the appearance of an elderly version of himself again.

“Literally a few hours ago. As prince of the Underworld, he can come and go as he pleases. Which he does.” Garmadon says, crossing his arms.

“I swear if you three start fucking on the ceiling again I will castrate all of you.” Morro growled, shooting the heavily making out three on the ceiling a glare.

“Fine.” Kai huffed as he stood on the ceiling. “Let's go boys.” He says, leading them off, Cole tagging along because of the promise of food at the end.

“I’m going out.” Lloyd huffed as he stood.

“Out? But you just came back.” Wu says, looking him over.

“So?” Lloyd huffed. “I don't want to hear them right now.” He says, gesturing to the room Kai, Cole and Jay moved into.

“Wanna spread some mayhem?” Nya asked them with a smirk.

“I don't see why not. I could use the entertainment.” Morro shrugged, getting up as well.

“I'll accompany you. I haven't caused mayhem here in some time.” Garmadon says as he straightened himself.

“Let's get going then.” Lloyd says to them, walking out.

“What about me?” Wu questioned.

“Stay here with those four. That's your punishment for calling me away from the throne.” Garmadon says as he stepped out as well. "And fix the Bounty!"

Wu pouted.

All four of them walked through the city in different routes that would meet in the middle of the city. Lloyd glared as he walked along, hands in his pockets glowing green as he let off a thick green aura wherever he went, spreading his power over envy. He pulled a hand out to look at the glowing ball of green energy then smirked as he looked back at everyone he passed, watching a few steal what their eyes first catch or arguing and even better: fighting.

“You know what they say: sharing is caring.” He smirked as he walked along, his tail, his horns, his wings and even his powers invisible to mortal eyes. “Hey Leviathan, make sure to drop by downtown when you're done.” He says in the comms.

“I have something better than walking by, Lloyd.” Nya says with a smirk, gathering a glowing ball of water in her hands, filling it with just a mere percentage of her pride before shooting it up in the sky, creating rain.

She spotted someone about to duck for cover then.

“What? You afraid of a little rain?” She says aloud and the person stiffened before tilting their head up and walking in the rain still, the other people around her following suit.

“A perfect time for a bit of wind, don't you think?” Morro says with a smirk from the top of Borg tower.

He chuckled as his wrathful winds swept through the city, setting tensions on high through the entire city.

“And now that the pressure is so well set…” Garmadon says as he walked out next to them, looking at the green fog of his son's power being spread by Morro's winds and kept low by Nya's rain. “That spark to set things off.” He gathered his dark our powers before compressing it into an orb the size of a marble then dropped it on the city below.

Purple suddenly flooded the streets of the entire city and everything came to a standstill until utter chaos. Garmadon laughed as he watched people brawled in the middle of the streets, others ramming their cars into others, people breaking into buildings and stores, stealing, making it seem as if the world was about to end. Lloyd flew up a moment after then landed next to his father, looking down at the chaos without a smile but feeling smug seeing them all run wild, murdering and fighting and stealing.

Serves them all right. Everything won't always be perfect, pathetic mortals. Your turn to suffer too.

“Hey Lloyd, guess what I got.” Nya says as she flew up, holding take out from Chen's.

All four of them sat down on the roof, enjoy a meal as chaos reigned on.

(I haven't posted in forever because the world decided that putting obstacles in my way and watching me drown in anxiety is better. Anywho my other WIPs are hella long (LIKE 20K LONG!) so I whipped something up to buy more time to finish. It sucks and it's short because rush but eh... Sorreh guys.)

The Green Ninja Pt.2

“Where are you?” Lloyd called out on a sing-song tone, walking through the ruins of Ninjago City, knowing his friends were close by. “Hide and seek's over. Let's play a new game, hmm?” He says, looking around, stepping over the half of a body that was sticking out under the demolished building he recalled having fun collapsing earlier.

“That man interrupted the game on the Bounty so how about we settle things with a game of tag? I'm it and when I find you, I'll say 'tag! You're dead’!” He says then giggled madly. “You'll be so shocked, you'll just die!” He laughed harder, dragging the katana made of his powers along the asphalt, leaving a long trail of glowing, smokey green.

He would have killed them all weeks ago if that villain hadn't sent his insects to destroy the Bounty. Well, he's history now…

“Doesn't it sound like fun?” He says, looking around again.

His ear twitched before his eyes darted to his left where he caught a shadow dash behind one of the few intact buildings left. He lifted his left hand and blasted it with his powers, frowning once he saw it wasn't his friends but some other person he didn't care about.

“Oh. What a disappointment.” He says as he walked over to the woman who was still alive but appeared to have broken her arm during the blast. “You aren't even any fun.” He whispered, lifting the blade, even as the woman sobbed and pleaded.

“Lloyd! Stop this!” He grinned before jabbing the blade down, stabbing the woman in the neck.

“And where would the fun in that be?... Mother.” He says blankly, looking over his shoulder at Misako with a just as blank expression.

She gasped, watching the woman rudely dirtying his blade with her blood as she drowned.

“Lloyd… What happened to you?” She whispered as he pulled his blade free before slowly making his way over to his mother, a trail of red following him.

“What happened? I finally did what I wanted. That's what.” He says with a small smile. “I'm so very sorry it's not what you expected of me.” He says mockingly.

“What I expect doesn't matter. This isn't you Lloyd. You are good. You are the green-”

“Finish that sentence. I fucking dare you.” He says lowly, expression dark as he stood before her. “Don't call me that. I never wanted that title. I never want any of this. All I ever truly wanted was to be wanted. To be loved. But we don't always get what we want I suppose.” He sighed.

“What are you talking about Lloyd? I love you. Your uncle, your friends, all of Ninjago loves you. We all need you.” She whispered and Lloyd giggled to himself.

“You? Love me?” He asked between giggled before it turned into full blown laughter that stopped abruptly as he leveled her with a dead stare. “No mother. You never loved me. You love the Green Ninja, not Lloyd Garmadon. In fact, you hated him, didn't you? You left Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon in a school for bad children and walked away without looking back because you wanted nothing to do with him. You only ever cared about the green ninja. My whole childhood you were gone and you suddenly reappear when I'm the Green Ninja. You never once asked how was it like growing up in a place like Darkly's, never once apologised for leaving me all on my own, never once thought of or cared of the consequences of leaving me to grow up in a place like that.” He hissed bitterly.

“You know why-”

“Why you left. Sure. That would have been believable if it wasn't complete bullshit. The second you caught eye of uncle, you were gunning for his pants. Dad and I? We meant nothing to you. We were only there for your convenience.” Lloyd says then took a threatening step closer. “You know, more than anyone else, I fantasized killing you the most. All in very creative ways. But I had one way that felt the most satisfying.” He says, smiling sweetly as Misako stepped back as he stepped forward.

“Lloyd, please. Your father wouldn't want this.” She spoke, looking over his shoulder nervously.

“But didn't I tell you mother? We don't always get what we want.” Lloyd whispered, raising his sword.

He noticed the movement in her wide, terrified eyes and manifested another sword, ramming it through Zane's chest without looking back.

“Zane!” The ninja yelled as Lloyd looked over his shoulder at his wide, robotic eyes.

“Tag. You're dead.” He grinned before flicking the sword and it split him in two from the chest up, leaving him to fall as the light left his eyes.

“Damn you!” Kai yelled, rushing in  with the others closing in but Lloyd sent them all flying back with a pulse of his energy.

“Haven't learnt from the first time I see.” He says as he walked over to his mother, and picked her up by the throat, making her gasp for air. “And just so you know… I've always hated you.” He spoke with his sweetest smile before jabbing his sword into her opened mouth, the tip reappearing through the back of her neck, bloody as she went limp.

He dropped her as she bled out, turning to the 4 ninja and his uncle surrounding him.

“Tag's not as fun if you're all in range but who am I to judge?” Lloyd shrugged.

“You're sick Lloyd! She was your mother! Zane was your friend!” Cole yelled at him and Lloyd glanced at him.

“Misako was only my mother in name. And Zane? I don't particularly care for him. Or any of you really.” He says with a shrug and dropped his swords. “Ready to die?” He asked them and they glared.

Jay was surprisingly the first to attack, using his lightning to try and stun him but Lloyd dodged and gave him a sharp blow to the stomach that had him spitting up blood as he went flying. He threw up a shield to block Kai's fire and Cole's earth.

“Let's say I crush your throat and see if you can come back from that.” Lloyd suggested to Kai with a grin before hopping out of the way of Nya's water.

“You'll pay for what you did to Zane!” Kai yelled, blasting fireballs at him he easily blocked and dodged.

“Not so fast Cole.” Lloyd says, flipping over when he punched at him with his lava hand. “Hmm. I wonder…” He hummed, shielding himself from all three of their attacks before creating a new sword and made the shield disappear when Cole punched at it again, stepping out of the way before bringing his sword up, slicing his arm clean off.

Cole screamed as his hand was detached, returning to normal as blood stained the asphalt

“Oh? How disappointing. I was expecting lava. Oh well.” He sighed, ducking down and letting Kai and Nya's attack take them both out.

“What about you uncle?” Lloyd questions, standing as he walked over to Cole who was clinging to where his arm was, bleeding heavily.

He would most likely die from blood loss but where would be the fun in that?

“Ninja go!” Wu yelled, using his spinjitzu to grab Lloyd away from Cole, coming to a stop with a certain katana held to his neck.

Lloyd looked down at the blade to his neck then up at his uncle.

“Well?” He prompted, sliding his hands into his pockets. “You are going to kill me, aren't you? Go on then.” He says as the remaining ninja yelled at him to do it.

Lloyd could see the trembling of his hand, knowing that it wasn't just from old age.

“Go on uncle. Kill me. Kill your brother's only son. Kill your nephew. Kill the only family you have left.” Lloyd says, stepping closer so the blade was touching his neck, opening a thin wound that had a bead of blood rolling down his neck. “Do it. Put an end to the Garmadon bloodline, like you were destined to do.” He urged him.

Wu looked into dull, slitted red and green eyes, at dark skin, at pointed ears and teeth, at the black horns laid back in his hair and still saw his bright nephew. He couldn't. He knew from the start. Lloyd saw this and frowned.

“Pity. I was hoping you would.” Lloyd sighed and Wu looked sad.

“It's not too late Lloyd. Come with us and we will work this out.” He whispered to his nephew, lowering the sword.

“I have a lesson for you uncle.” Lloyd says, looking into the old man's eyes. “Not all enemies deserve to be redeemed.” He says and Wu's eyes widened.

“And not all of them want to be redeemed.” He whispered in his ear.

He walked away, towards Cole again as Wu looked down at the green blade that went through the left side of his chest. Lloyd… He collapsed, his blood pooling under him. Lloyd chuckled as screams rang out. It always had been such a fun sound. Why else would children scream while playing?

“You're almost gone Cole. When you get to the Departed Realm, tell my father he was wrong, would you?” Lloyd says, holding his sword to his chest as Cole breathed heavily.

He raised his sword then lowered- only to stop just above his chest. The sword slipped from his hand and vanished as Lloyd looked down at the sword through his chest instead. Kai's sword? Kai didn't have the guts. It must be-

“Tag. You're dead.” Nya hissed at him as he glanced at her over his shoulder.

He smirked.

“Well played.” He says before collapsing.

The blood pooling around him was pretty and warm. Lloyd coughed some up, tasting nothing as his senses faded. Oh well. At least he got to do something he wanted to do. His eyes went dull.

Die.

(Eyyyy! So! Here's the requested part two. I know it's not what you all expected but I wanted a change in pace. The hero goes bad and gets redeemed is gold but not for everyone. So Lloyd. He has snapped in more ways than one. You can tell his state of mind really worsened the two weeks between the first fic and the second. He stopped seeing people as actual people a few days in and started seeing them as dolls, playthings even and well, why keep something around that wasn't entertaining? He felt suffocated by everything. First his past, what others thought of him and everything that he was denied then his insanity kicked in and it was both freeing and constricting. He just wanted it all to stop at some point. Lastly, the ninja. They'll not only be traumatized but people everywhere will lose trust in them and they'll scatter. Wu is dead, they fix Zane but his memory chip was damaged so he's not all there. Cole died from blood loss and Jay had to get stomach surgery. Although Nya knew she had to, Lloyd's death weighs on her. They all spend the rest of their days wondering what they could have done differently. Le end. Hope you all enjoyed!)
