Okay I'm gonna say something but let me explain it before you say anything.
I dont think the Canary curse is broken.
WAIT LET ME EXPLAIN!
The Canary in a coal mine is there to warn the miners of a gas leak we all know this, it's the first to die, when there is a gas leak.
The Canary can't warn the miners of other things like cave ins or water leaks.
Jimmy has always died first and following his death comes disaster that causes more deaths, it's happened in all the series.
He didn't die first in Secret life, but the Wither nad Warden weren't a gas leak, the boogie-pocalypse was.
Wild Life is the first ever season were one finale death isn't followed by more, Mumbo, Skizz and Martyn all died in different episodes.
What I'm getting at is there hasn't been a major event, there hasn't been a gas leak for the Canary to warn the miners of.
So, I'm waiting to see what happens next, I'm waiting to see when Jimmy dies, and if something big follows or if his placement is too high for something big to follow.
To me, the Canary Curse isn't about dying first. It's about being a warning like the actual canary was.
So until something disproves this, I'll say that Jimmy still has the cures. There just hasn't been a gas leak yet.

welcome to Hell Froze Over!
be glad youre not there :)
we have:
Ice Spike Regions areas covered in towering ice spikes. traveling through those regions is risky due to falling debris and strong winds.
Worm Tunnel Cities some cities/towns are built within the ancient tunnels of ice burrowing worms. theyre generally warmer thanks to their shape, which helps with even heat distribution.
The average snowstorm (and a crash-site city) sometimes also referred to as "the wrath of God", for uh.. obvious reasons (theyre big and scary and sooo deadly)
The Hunting Grounds general name of areas with high Icebreaker worm activity along the equator. the ice is much thinner there compared to the rest of the planet.
Ribbon Valleys places named after their characteristic striped icebergs.
Geothermal Areas (with stalker and flying worms) so far only two have been discovered. theyre the only places where the ice has melted enough for the ground to be visible. unfortunately theyre also known for being worm hotspots, thus hard to access.
+ some planetary scribbly stuff & ramblings below the cut
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the planet is a frozen wasteland on the surface, covered in a thick ice shell that thins around the equator, with liquid water and a (possibly) volcanic seafloor deep below. theres very little land right under the ice and the planet would be a water world with few islands scattered about if not for the extremely low temperatures.
there are a lot of unknowns about whats going on below the ice since humanity doesnt have the equipment for that kind of research and everyone is too busy trying to survive the cold.
Hell Froze Over doesnt really have seasons like our planet does since its axial tilt is minimal. instead it has pseudo-seasons caused by its elliptical orbit.
its either cold or colder. the highest recorded temperature in the habitable zone was -34°C during the "summer" season. during winter it can drop all the way down to -90°C.

I had a bit of an autism moment in the @biodiversesv discord (everyone go check it out, its great in there!) and I thought I would share here
Thinking about how there is no actual definition of what a wolf is. Because like, obviously, when you talk about wolves, most people think of the grey wolf and subsequent subspecies. But the red wolf is also discussed as a wolf despite not being a grey wolf subspecies (taxonomic designation of the red wolf is still up to slight debate, but more times then not they are described as being closely related but distinct from the grey wolf. Some still describe them as a hybridization of the grey wolf and coyotes, but other times they are seen as a separate species that has had recent interbreeding with coyotes)
The red wolf (Canis rufus) and the grey wolf (Canis lupus) are both still wolves, but are only in the same genus (Canis) which is most often associated with wolves but also includes all other canines, like coyotes (Canis latrans) and the golden jackal (Canis aureus). They are seperste from other canids, which include animals outside of the genus Canis but within the family Canidae, such as the red and grey fox (Vulpes vulpes and Urocyon cinereoargenteus) and the maned wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus)
This also goes into how a species is not clearly defined either. The most common definition of species is "a group of living organisms consisting of similar individuals capable of exchanging genes or interbreeding." Furthermore, people will say that the offspring of the interbreeding pair must have the possibility of being fertile; this is what separates donkeys and horses as different species since, despite being able to interbreed, a mule cannot be fertile. A coyote and wolf, however, are able to interbreed and create fertile offspring, which would push the two into one species given the working definition. And yet, the two are still put as two different species within the same genus

People with outdoor cats will make sweeping claims like "My cat only kills one bird a month!" As if that is verifiable information they didn't just make up based on their cats temperament in their presence
If you're letting your cat free roam, they are going significantly further from your home than you assume, and catching and killing as much wildlife as appeals to them.
They're not just gonna stop being incredibly skilled hunters cause they like to cuddle
