Hey folks! I'm Spotty/Spot/Spotaus, I'm an artist just doin' art things! I go by any pronouns (<- nb/a-gender/general gender tom-foolery. When in doubt, go with they/them) and I'm ace. I've got this side-blog running for UTMV posts I wanna reblog, as well as my personal art for old/ongoing projects!
If ya want to see my art, check #Spot!Drawn
Yes, I do take Requests, and they are Open
This blog is a Side Account! If you are followed by @spotlightstudios that is me! We might be mutuals, but it only shows properly on my end :')
[Info about Projects, AUs, and OCs below the cut!]
Projects:
If you see me posting about these, they're personal projects! (Usually a solo-act, but a few have co-creators.)
#Eternal Ashes is a 2nd Gen story about the ship-children of the Multiverse! Kane, elder son of Reaper and Geno, is killed in a battle between the Star Sanses and Night's Gang. This send the multiverse into a forced truce to avoid more crossfire killing, and Reaper's wrath... Only, Reset, Reaper and Geno's younger son, isn't satisfied with his brother's death. He and Orchid (daughter of Error and Nightmare) team up to bring Kane back to life, and end up settling into motion a multiverse-wide murder spree that spans years.
#DoppleTale is an AU I finally brought to existence recently. The monsters of the underground are all shapeshifters who fed on human flesh, until they were locked away in the mountain. With Humans becoming rarer by the day the monsters feast on Monster Candy and practice desperately to perfect their human disguises (which only get worse the less they remember what humans look like). <- This story is #Pretender!Sans 's origin au!
#Catacombtale is the oldest remaining AU that I have. It follows the story of a Human Hero who is sent to the catacombs of Mt. Ebbott to face the gods trapped within. Of course, sone if the gods are helpful, others can't forgive humanity for dethroning them. (Most of the story is pre-entrapment lore, with worldbuilding and a focus on #Ichor!Sans, my special-est tired old immortal guy who loves mortals more than he should on every given occassion.)
#Ec-4o.verse is a multiverse world (kingdomtale style?) where the earth, in a stage of Robot/Monster/Human co-existance suddenly went into a war. It wiped out a lot of people and places, and sent the world into chaos. Ec4o.verse follows Blue, a young mechanic (Techie) who's skilled in the old ways of robot repair and creation, uncovering the secrets of what started the war he's known all his life. (<- This one is both my pfp, and I draw dustedafterdeath for it pretty regularly.)
#DreamEater AU A self-indulgent Fresh × Dream fic where Dream is hit by an attack during battle that paralyzes his body. But never fear! Your trusty parasite was looking for a new host anyways! Fresh bites into Dream's soul and then realizes he will never run out of magic, so he just sticks around! Pilots Dream's body while also helping him through his Savior Complex trauma! You can also find info under the tag #Tulpa as that is their combined name/identity towards the end of the story.
#New Age AU An au inspired by Real Age AU by @ancha-aus that is set in a land of kings and queens. Night, tyrant ruler of the land, accompanied by his loyal band of murderous knights, finds himself back at Age 13, the Age he was when he first ate the apple of prophecy. Without the power, he's struggling to keep his twin at a safe distance + maintain control. (Very much Found Family here :])
The New Age Masterpost can be found here.
#Timeless AU A story of the underground. What if Dr. Gaster was alive? And living? And raised Sans and Papyrus? And Revived Asriel successfully? And was madly in love with Asgore, and got w/ him after Toriel left? Yeah, it answers all these questions. Basically, Gaster is an unintentional father to all the beloved cast in the Underground, and Asriel grows up with Sans and Paps as brothers.
Then, of course, there's my persona, N!
If you see this skeleton around, it's just my insert! N (in reflection of me) goes by she/they/he pronouns and is a menace. Most often you'll see doodles of her with my oc Ichor, Killer, or my moots personas (such as Ancha!).
And for the record:
Yes, I do takes requests (They're currently open! Send me an Ask w/ an AU, Oc (<-with ref), or UTDR character!) but I don't always actually complete them. Motivation as a uni student is few and far between.
Yes, you can draw my ocs. I don't think anyone would, but you're welcome to if you get the urge! Just, be sure to tag me! (And obviously don't claim them as your own. That'd be shitty.)
Yes, I do chat. I'm a very anxious person, tho. If you start a conversation or tag response or smth, I'll be ecstatic!
This blog is (as far as I know) going to remain SFW. I don't intend on reblogging nor creating graphic content, especially not of these god damn skeletons, so this is more or less a safe space 👍

MASSIVE INFLUX OF SWAPOUT REPLIES [March - April 2018]

Yep :D

I’ve had a few ask about a fanfic of SwapOut :O Do you guys mean a fanfic version or like... a kinda expansion of the story? Like side stories etc.? I guess that’d be cool to do!
@mistytheguardian yep :D
And nah it’s a thing :

@agent--pluto @colourdrago @ajleanon5
Yep, for one, his HP is a full 680/680 (same as UT!Pap’s health). Which would’ve made the origin of his scar even more confusing since he isn’t “hurt”.
And Swap probably doesn’t wanna risk Sans seeing things that he might’ve been able to see.

@fr-e-sh--h-otca-ts (holy shit your username is 👌 in more ways than one) @bstick-2015 @superblueluver
Aha I love it when you guys pick up on the little details when I actually do have little details >8′D

Aw thank you so much!! aAND PFFHAHA I’m sorry, I tend not to reply immediately to things (hence these massive reply posts I do every now and then)
I’m flattered!! I love him as much as everyone else so I wanted to do him justice <3 Just don’t be creepy to him!! But really thanks I’m happy for the comment!!
And all the other nice people who dropped by! :

@tiny-lil-dragons (wish tumblr would just tag people properly)
Aw thank YOU for actually making an account just to follow me! :O It always feels amazing when people care about my stuff enough to do so <3 And thanks! I do spend a lot of energy in this comic, really appreciate it!
@einsamenaufstieg
Oof I should’ve replied to this WAY sooner, and if I did, I can’t remember. Go ahead!! There have already been several UT comics of characters crossing universes so it’s definitely a thing we do haha x’D Frisk in Underswap would be interesting!
@batmanfan3492 @nicte-boonart @dittoqueeno @calista-222 @em-n-underhell
Thank you thank you THANK YOU!! I’m really happy that I’m able to evoke emotions in others with my work, it means my story which I’ve worked long and hard on is coming across to you guys :’D And to be honest, I probably still take way too long to get poses down (if you watch my drawing streams you would’ve seen how horrendously long i take to draw a page) and to get the colouring and everything down so that I’M happy with it. So to hear you guys loving it is a real relief <3 And hearing that my comic is one of the best to you is like?? a shock?? cos i certainly don’t think so but wOW IM FLATTERED THANK YOU
Again, thanks for all the asks and the love!! ;w;/ I seriously appreciate them and I wish I could reply to them sooner but it takes me so long to get around to them. I literally have to sit down for a good few hours and just reply to asks without doing anything else... and usually I have too much on my mind already or spending time for myself or opt to do the pages with the time I have instead D’| You’d think replying individually once they come in would be better too but tbh I still kinda prefer it this way in huge chunks cos its not as spammy?? idk
So for those who take the time to send asks or comments or anything and kinda expect a reply but not really cos you know the person’s busy but you’re kinda hoping anyway, I know how you feel!! I’m gonna consciously put aside time for the rest of the months’ asks in my inbox while I’m too busy for pages!! Finally!!
[MORE REPLIES TO COME]

Not Alone Part 2
See? Told you :3 I left it on a bit of a cliffhanger, in case I wanted to come back and do this story some more! I hope you all like it! Hopeless belongs to @assrtdj
Not Alone Part 2
"Nnnnh...." Sans eyes slowly opened as consciousness returned to him. "Wh...what....ha....appened?" He shook his head and rubbed it with his gloved hand, brushing snow off of it. "Ugh....my head...."
"Sans?! Sans!!!!" He looked up to see Hope looking for him, holding Papyrus close.
"Over...here...." He raised his hand up slowly and tried to stand, only to wince in pain as he looked down at his leg. His leg was trapped under a heavy, broken branch. "Ow...." Hope rushed over and sat Papyrus down, looking at the branch.
"Get....get it...off...." Hope nodded and began to push it. Sans winced and cried out as she slowly pushed the large hunk of wood off and he whimpered when it was finally free. "How...bad?"
"It's broken..." Hope whimpered. She sat him up carefully, leaning him against a rock. She looked at the broken bone, frowning. "I'm sorry...."
"For what?" Hope shifted anxiously where she sat, giving him a pained expression. "You didn't break my leg or anything."
"If...If I had let go-"
"No way. There's no way I was gonna let a girl fall down like that." Sans huffed, crossing his arms. Papyrus crawled over and hugged Sans's arm, shivering fearfully. "Besides.....he would've just knocked me down here anyways..." He mumbled. Hope gave his leg another glance before rolling her sleeves up. "What are you doing?"
"I'm...gonna take the hurt away." She said, taking a few deep breaths. "I can do it...but...."
"But? Wait, you can use healing magic?!" Sans watched as she rung her hands anxiously. "What's the matter?"
"It....it isn't normal....."
"Down here, nothing's 'normal'." Sans shrugged, wincing as Papyrus accidentally bumped his broken leg. "Besides...isn't an ability like that kinda...'handy'?" Hope froze and blinked a few times before giggling. "Gotta 'hand' it to you, you're pretty tough for a human."
"Hee hee s-stop that!" Hope laughed. She smiled brightly for a few moments longer before taking a deep breath. "O-Ok....please just...promise...promise me you won't....make fun of me...ok?" Her voice had grown timid and Sans tilted his head.
Why is she so scared? It's just magic....right? "I uhh....yeah." He said, rubbing the back of his head. "I promise." Hope held her hands out over the break in his leg, closing her eyes. Her hair began to glow a beautiful shade of golden yellow, along with her hands. Sans watched as the break slowly mended itself, as if the bone was growing back at a rapid pace. "W-wow.....I've never seen healing magic like that before." He whispered. The glow finally faded, and he looked at his leg, Papyrus staring and poking it. "Not even a scar....that's amazing Hope!" He looked up, but his smile vanished when he saw Hope looking down at her own leg. "Hope? What's wrong?"
"N-Nothing!" She said, hiding her leg and wincing. "Y-You need....to go before he comes! I-hey, ow!" Sans moved her and looked at her leg. Blood leaked from a large gash on her leg, the bone almost visible and clearly broken.
"I...it's...nothing....honest."
"Nothing? Nothing?! Your leg is bro-" He stopped, looked at his own leg, then back at hers. "...Broken.....but it wasn't a few moments ago....." He looked at her and she whimpered, her eyes staring at the snow. Papyrus waddled over to her and hugged her arm, his big eyes looking at her with worry. "....You said you....could take the hurt away...this is what you meant?!"
"Y...yes....you're not hurt, right?" She asked. "I got it all, right?"
Got it all...yeah, you did alright. But....this isn't right! "Healing magic doesn't do this to the user! What is this?"
"I don't know." She whispered. "I've always been able to do this. It'll heal in a few hours but....but you don't have time for that!" She grabbed Papyrus and handed him to Sans. "Go! What if he comes back? He'll hurt you!"
"He'll hurt you too, stupid!" Sans snapped, taking Papyrus and holding him close. "You can't stay here either!"
"But...you have your brother...." Sans frowned and looked at the smaller skeleton in his arms. "I...don't. So....please...." Sans rolled his eyes and stuffed his brother into his hood, then knelt down. Grabbing at his sleeve, he tore it off and carefully wrapped it around her injured leg. "W-What are-" He helped her stand and slung her arm over his shoulders. "Sans-"
"You fixed my leg....and I know we just met, but you're the only friend I have." He cut her off before she could continue. "Why did you do that anyways?"
"You should always be kind to those you meet!" Hope smiled. "Besides, my Uncle would want me to help....although he'd scold me for doing this." Sans smiled a little as Hope giggled.
She's so weird...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a few hours of endless, silent walking, Sans stopped and leaned Hope against a tree. "You doing ok?"
"I should ask you that, silly bones!" Hope pouted, moving her leg carefully. "It seems mostly better now. I think I can walk on my own..."
"Good." Sans plopped on his back, sighing. "Whew! I'm pooped! You're heavier then you look."
"Hey! You're not supposed to make fun of a girl's weight! At least, my Uncle says that." Hope mumbled, a smile on her face. "So, Sans? Who was that?"
"His name's Flowey....and he's a cruel, horrible little flower." Hope curled up a bit and Sans sat up, brushing snow from his sleeves. "He constantly torments me and Paps...I dunno why though..." Hope moved close and hugged him. "H-Hey!"
"Sorry....but you needed a hug." Hope smiled and moved away. She picked Papyrus up and moved closer to Sans, the three of them huddling for warmth.
"So....what do we do?" Sans took Papyrus and put him in his hood. The smaller skeleton yawned and snuggled in, falling asleep.
"We....we just keep moving and hope he doesn't find us." Sans muttered. The two walked close, Hope taking his hand and squeezing. "What are you doing?"
"I...I'm scared Sans." She whispered, looking around in the darkness. "I don't like the dark...and this is so weird..."
"You kinda get used to it when you've been Underground your whole life." Sans commented. "It isn't that bad but....I wonder what the sky looks like sometimes."
"Oh, I can tell you!" Hope smiled and walked a little further, taking a nearby stick and drawing in the snow. "It has large, puffy white clouds....and a big, pure blue sky! Like the color of my bow!" She explained. She continued her crude snow drawing. "There are trees and-"
"Lemme guess, flowers, right?" Hope shrieked when Flowey popped from out of the ground, his face lit by a bright smile. "Well howdy there kiddos! You managed to survive such a long tumble down!" Hope threw the stick and it hit Flowey in the face. "Ow!"
"S-Sorry!"
"Why are you apologizing to him?!" Sans snapped as Hope moved closer to him.
"Because I hit him and it wasn't nice..."
"He tried to kill us!" Sans countered, scowling. "You don't apologize to that!"
"S-Sorry..."
"Ahem..." Both children turned to Flowey, holding the stick in a vine as he scowled at them. "As adorable as your little couple's quarrel is...it's getting old very quickly....and I hate it when things get old and boring." He grinned as he slowly rose from the ground. "How about a new game, hmm? Ever heard of tag?" Both kids moved closer to one another as he rose higher, the stick being crushed in his grip. "And I'm IT!!!!!" He raised his vines and slammed on the ground as the two children began to run away. Sans dragged Hope behind him when he grabbed her arm. "Aww now don't run like that~! Maybe we should make this freeze tag, hmm?"
"N-No thank you!" Hope called out as they ran.
"Don't turn around and talk to him!" Sans shouted. Flowey grabbed some nearby rubble and began to throw it at the kids. One large piece landed nearby, sending the two kids flying into the air. "Hope! Pa-" Sans was cut off as he hit the ground hard, his world turning black.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope struggled to her knees when she saw Sans hit the ground hard. "Sans!!!!" She rushed over, shaking him. He had several cracks on the side of his head and Papyrus began to sob loudly. "Shh, it's ok Pappy! We'll-"
"I'm coming~...." Flowey cooed in the air. Hope's eyes widened and she put Papyrus on her back. She lifted Sans's arm over her shoulder and dragged him under a fallen tree next to a rock, keeping the three of them hidden in the dark.
"Where are you little shits at?!"
"Shh, quiet down Pappy..." Hope whispered. She moved Sans so his head was resting in her lap. Frowning, she took the bow out of her hair and tied it carefully around the cracks on his head, then pulled him closer. She trembled as she could hear Flowey close by, and she did her best to keep Papyrus silent. Please don't look here....please please please.....
Once the area went silent, she sighed and checked Sans over. "I don't think his HP went down...I've never had to Check before...." She whimpered. "You did good too Pappy..." She smiled and pat his head. He beamed proudly and hugged her arm. She whimpered as more noises sounded around her and she froze as the tree was lifted by a large vine. Her eyes were filled with terror as Flowey's face appeared in front of her. "Ah.....ah...."
"Found you~....." Hope grabbed Papyrus and lifted Sans as best as she could as the tree was thrown off to the side. "Where do you little dust mites think you're going, hmm?"
"L-Leave us alone!" Hope snapped, glaring at Flowey. "What did we do to you?! Why are you hurting them?!"
"Why?" Flowey laughed loudly, the voice echoing around them both. "Because it's fun! Besides, it's not like they're gonna remember....which makes this even more of a treat!"
"You....you...." Hope watched in horror as a vine came down nearby, causing her to tumble away from Sans. She hid Papyrus safely in a small crevice and ran to Sans, covering his body with hers as small, white pellets began to rain down from above. No! I won't let them hurt him! Her hair glowed slightly as a large, red shield formed around the two children.
"Oh ho? Now this is interesting...." Flowey slammed down hard on the shield, watching it crack more and more. Hope cried out when it shattered, coughing harshly. "Hah, never seen that before! Do that again!" Hope ducked and buried her face closer to Sans as it reformed, breaking quicker. Hope let out a gargled cough as the strain on her Soul grew. Flowey continued his onslaught, Hope feeling as if her entire body was being crushed over and over again.
Please....please wake up Sans...please..... She sobbed. Please wake up..... She watched as his eyes slowly opened, looking at her with a dazed expression. "Sans....."
"H...Hope? Wh...what's...happening?"
"Sans, I-" The shield shattered and Hope collapsed on top of him, a soft, glowing red liquid coming from her lips as she heaved for air.
"Aww, is that all you have?" Flowey slapped her off of Sans with a vine, making her cry out in pain as she hit the ground hard with her shoulder. "You're just a weak, pathetic little human! Can't even muster magic for no more than mere moments!" Sans watched helplessly as she was tossed around on the ground, listening to her pained cries. He struggled to get up, feeling woozy from his injury as Hope was lifted by a vine around her neck. She grit her teeth and struggled against the grip, but her fingers couldn't pierce the plant, instead making bloody marks with her breaking nails.
"H...Hope....ngh..." Sans felt another vine wrap around him and he struggled, gritting his teeth. "L-Let us go! Stop it!" He growled, his left eye briefly flashing before dimming back down.
"Heh, still can't use your magic, can ya?" Flowey grinned as he looked at the two, his large face almost like a sinister, dark moon in the bleak cavern. "A pathetic, weak little human girl and a useless little monster who can't fight back.....which of you to crush first?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sans struggled hard in the tight grip around him despite his head injury. No...no! I can't let this happen! He thought. This...this is my problem, not hers! "Let her go!" Flowey turned his gaze to Sans and his Soul froze behind his ribs. "S-She....she..."
"Aww, the little boy worried about his girlfriend?" The flower taunted Sans, his eyes filled with a perverse glee. Sans turned worried eyes to Hope as her fearful, colorful eyes stared back at him. "So, what then? You wanna offer your life for hers, is that it?" Sans felt torn on how to answer.
If I do....I leave Paps all alone....and her too. Monsters would kill her on sight... He thought. But...but if she dies....I lose my only friend...I'd never....I....what do I say?!
"I'm waiting~...."
"S.....Sans...." He turned to see Hope giving him a weak smile. "I...it's...o......ok....."
"No..no it isn't!" Sans snapped. "You're the only friend I've got you moron! Don't go saying things like that!"
"Aww, how touching." Flowey smirked, squeezing them both tighter, making them scream in pain. "Well...guess I'll have to decide then." He lifted them up and down slowly, looking between them. "Eeny....meeny....miney........" He stopped when Hope was highest and he grinned. "...Mo." She turned her gaze to him, panic in her eyes.
"Hope!"
"Sans, I-" A loud, audible snap could be heard as if it was right next to him as her neck suddenly went at an odd angle. His eye lights vanished from his sockets as Flowey dropped her limp body down into the snow.
"H.....Ho....pe?" He trembled as he was tossed slightly in the air, caught by his foot. He was forced to look down, seeing her body laying haphazardly in the snow. "A....ah....h....n...no...."
"Hahahahaha! The looks on your faces are just downright priceless!" Flowey cackled, throwing Sans towards the ground. He crawled over, cradling her as she stared at him with sightless eyes. He closed them, and felt his Soul slowly begin to burn. "Aww, are you crying? Got nothing to say?"
"Y...You...." His shoulders rose and fell with his harsh breathing as his entire body felt like it was on fire. "Let me ask...you something, you demonic weed..."
"Oh? Heh, very well. Go ahead." Sans turned around slowly, his left eye suddenly alight with fire, flashing between yellow and pale blue.
"Do you want to have a really bad time?" He screamed out his anger and pain, feeling power build in his hands. He gestured at the large flower, and before Flowey could react, his entire face had been pierced with bones. The flower crumpled to the ground as Sans breathed heavily. He slumped forward as the world around him faded to white.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sans gasped awake, gripping his chest in fear as he looked around him. I...I.....the woods outside Snowdin? How...how did I get here?! He thought, his mind racing. Flowey.....falling down....and Hope....she....Hope! He turned around to see the young girl curled tightly with Papyrus. "Hope! Hope wake up!"
"Mngh....five more minuets..."
"No, wake up right now!" Hope yawned and stretched a bit. "You...you're alive...."
"Sans, I....I..." Hope reached up and felt her neck, her eyes going wide. "I.....I was..."
"He killed you. I saw it....snapped your neck..." He grabbed Hope and hugged her. "A dream...it had to have been....just one bad dream..."
"Sans...it wasn't." Hope whispered quietly. Sans backed away and looked at her with a worried gaze. "I.....I don't think it was. I mean, we had the same dream and..." Sans watched as she kept rubbing her neck and swallowing hard. "It couldn't have been.....right?" Sans sat cross legged, arms folded in front of his shoulders.
"No...it felt too real." Sans admitted. "But Paps seems unaware so...maybe some kinda weird cross dream or something?" Hope shook her head, still rubbing her neck. "Stop that...it's kinda creepy."
"S-Sorry...." She mumbled, blushing a bit. "But....my Uncle told me something once."
"Hmm?"
"He said those with really strong Determination can alter time......he called it..." She shivered a little and looked at Sans.
"...........A Reset."

Papyrus and Undyne find a portal gun. Multiverse roadtrip.
Okay so this is long. Really long. I’ll put it under a read more to spare everyone’s dashboards lol
I really, really enjoyed writing for this prompt. Thank you for sending it in! I may eventually make a part 2…
Undyne and Papyrus were at the dump, searching through the random odds and ends that had accumulated there after being tossed out by the humans on the surface, hoping to find a new set of cookware. The previous set had been, ahem, rendered unusable after a recent cooking lesson in which Undyne had wanted to test out the heating adjustments she’d instructed Alphys to make to the stove. In retrospect, Alphys figured she really should have questioned why exactly Undyne needed a stove that reached temperatures of over four thousand degrees on a regular basis. After awhile of searching, Undyne located something that most definitely not a piece of cookware, but certainly seemed a lot more interesting. “Hey, Papyrus! Check this out!” she shouted, drawing Papyrus’ attention from where he’d previously been digging through a large pile of assorted automobile parts.“What is it?” he asked excitedly, running over to examine the strange object Undyne was currently suplexing.“I don’t know, but isn’t it cool? I wonder what it does!” Undyne replied, turning the object over in her hands. Eventually, she ended up accidentally pulling a trigger of some sort, because a large portal appeared in the middle of the pile of garbage to her left.“What is that?!?” Papyrus asked, looking between the portal and the instrument that had created it in shock and apprehension.“Let’s go through it!” Undyne suggested, looking like this was the most normal suggestion she’d had all day.Papyrus looked like he wanted to argue, but then realized if he did, Undyne would probably just go through the portal on her own and get into all kinds of trouble. It was probably best he tagged along to ensure everyone at least survived. “Fine, but we have to be back this evening. Last night’s bedtime story ended on a cliffhanger and I want to know how it ends.”“Alright! Let’s go, punk!” Undyne shouted, running through the portal with absolutely no regard for her own safety. Papyrus followed hesitantly.Stepping through the portal, they found themselves in Judgement Hall. Sans and a human wearing a green hoodie seemed to be fighting another human.“Brother?” Papyrus asked, confused as to where the humans had come from and why Sans was fighting one. Had the humans fallen while he and Undyne had been sorting through the stuff at the dump? Papyrus was worried; would this ruin his chances of joining the Royal Guard, since he hadn’t been around to report the humans’ arrival to Undyne?Sans seemed to freeze before turning to face them, shock very evident in his expression. “P-paps? How are- Didn’t you- You’re-” stumbling over his words, Sans stared between Papyrus and Undyne as though he were seeing ghosts.“Oi, Comedian! Focus!” the human in the green hoodie shouted, a flurry of magical knives appearing to intercept an attack from the other human that was aimed right at him.“Brother? What’s wrong?” Papyrus asked, concern lacing his features.“Forget that! There’s humans! We can cross the barrier!” Undyne shouted, rushing towards the nearest human, which happened to be the one in the green hoodie.“Right!” Papyrus shouted, following Undyne’s lead. Apparently, he still had a chance at joining the Royal Guard.“Comedian, I could use a little help here- ACK!” the human in the green hoodie had been so focused on the fight with the other human that they hadn’t noticed Undyne and Papyrus rushing towards them until Undyne tackled them.“What are you doing? Get off them, they’re trying to help!” Sans told Undyne.“We need their soul!” Undyne retorted.“Don’t take their soul! You can take the other one’s soul for all I care.” Sans replied.“Will you please get off of me?!?” the human in the green hoodie asked.“Fine,” Undyne stated, sounding somewhat annoyed, as she stood up, “You’re lucky we only need one soul, punk.”The human in the green hoodie sighed and stood as well. “Oh yes, I feel very fortunate,” they stated sarcastically, before proceeding to summon more magical knives which attacked the other human.Undyne started raining spears down on the other human, though the human did not seem particularly inconvenienced by them; it was more the combination of attacks that threw them off.“Keep attacking!” Sans shouted, seeming to have noticed the human stumble slightly a few times in their attempts to dodge everything.Undyne and the human in the green hoodie complied, though Undyne did add, “I’m the boss here, punk,” before doing so.A large, skeletal creature appeared, a large blue pulse of energy escaping the creature’s jaws and enveloping the other human, who dropped to the floor.“Woah, what was that?” Papyrus asked, watching the creature disappear, its work finished. “Have you always been able to do that, brother?”“Uhhhh…” Sans replied awkwardly, before changing the subject. “Bro, what are you doing here?”“Oh! That’s a funny story, actually. Undyne found this thing and it made a portal and we went through it and now we’re here!” Papyrus replied, indicating the portal-summoning device, which was now lying on the floor, having been discarded by Undyne in her rush to capture a human.Sans blinked. “A portal?” he asked, walking over and picking up the device to examine it.“Yes!” Papyrus replied, pointing in the direction they had come from, only to find the portal was gone. “Oh… It’s gone.”“I guess we’ll have to make a new one then,” Undyne said cheerfully, taking the portal-making device back from Sans. She then created another portal in the side of a wall and jumped through it. “Later, punks!”“Right… Uh, yeah, see you later, guys.” Sans replied, and though Papyrus could tell something was off, he didn’t ask.“See you later, brother!” Papyrus called back, waving, before following Undyne. Glancing back as he stepped through the portal, he saw his brother had a sad smile on his face, and the human in the green hoodie was standing beside him, a comforting hand on his shoulder. Papyrus wondered why his brother seemed sad; oh well, he could always ask him later.Meanwhile, Papyrus now found himself and Undyne somewhere completely different. So different, in fact, that they weren’t in the Underground anymore. They weren’t even on the planet. They were in space.“WE’RE IN SPAAAAAAAAAACE!” Undyne shouted, seeming rather excited about that fact for someone who didn’t have a spacesuit. Then again, Papyrus couldn’t really blame her; he was excited too. Having been trapped in the Underground for so long, Papyrus had dreamed of reaching the surface, but this was beyond even his wildest fantasies. Papyrus felt bad Sans wasn’t here; his brother loved space, so he would surely have enjoyed this even more than Undyne did. Looking back to try to get Sans’ attention so he could come visit space as well, Papyrus found the portal was once again gone. Papyrus sighed and decided to settle for telling his brother stories of what he saw in space once they returned.Though he had to wonder how exactly the portal had brought them to space in the first place. Shouldn’t the barrier have kept them from reaching the surface, much less space? Also, how were they supposed to get back?“Undyne, maybe we should try to go back-” Papyrus started, becoming a bit apprehensive. What if they just kept getting farther and farther away each time they used the portal device? “Don’t be silly, Papyrus! This is AWESOME!!!” Undyne replied, doing several flips just because she could.Papyrus sighed, “Yes, but don’t you think it’s also a bit… dangerous? Who knows where we’ll end up next. What if the next portal sends us into a volcano or something?”“Aww, Papyrus, don’t be a killjoy! This thing hasn’t taken us anywhere dangerous yet!”“I would like to respectfully point out we’ve only used it twice and the most recent use left us stranded in space.”“I suppose that’s a fair point. Very well, we can head back- but first I want to get a space rock! Sans will be sooooo jealous!” Undyne stated, heading in the direction of the nearest slow-moving comet, which fortunately wasn’t too far away. Papyrus followed, and as they neared the comet they heard a voice.“What are you idiots doing out here?”Undyne and Papyrus looked around wildly, but didn’t see anyone nearby.“I’m right here, idiots. The star to your right. Are you always this slow?”Undyne growled as she turned to the star. “What do you know, punk? What were we supposed to do, hear someone talking and automatically think, ‘Oh hey, I bet that’s a star talking’?”“…You’re not from around here, are you?”“Well, no. We went through a portal and ended up here!” Papyrus explained, smiling at the star, who seemed annoyed by his cheerfulness.“Well, isn’t that wonderful.” the star commented. Then it seemed to take a slightly mischievous tone. “You know, since you guys are new here, I better warn you about the terrifying creature that lives in this area.”“H-huh? What do you mean?” Papyrus asked nervously.“Oh, come on! You aren’t actually buying this, are you?” Undyne asked, raising an eyebrow.“N-no, of course not! But, um, maybe we should head back now anyway?” Papyrus stammered.“Oh, fine!” Undyne muttered, shooting a glare at the star before using the portal device to make another portal. “You all are no fun!” She commented before jumping through the portal. Papyrus followed hastily. They found themselves in an alley. All around, buildings of various sizes stood, and people rushed around from one building to another.“Is this what the surface looks like?” Papyrus asked, gazing around in awe.“Maybe,” Undyne replied, “Let’s ask someone!”“Paps? Undyne?” The two turned to see Sans walking over, wearing a suit, and looking quite confused. “What are you guys doing here? I thought you were having a sparring match?”“Brother, why are you wearing a suit? I’ve been trying to get you to wear something other than that old hoodie for years, and here youre just walking around in a suit without even telling me?” Papyrus asked, looking simultaneously happy that Sans had finally listened to him and annoyed that he hadn’t told him.“What are you talking about? I always wear a suit. Why aren’t you wearing a suit? The boss told us to blend in, remember? You guys are sticking out like a sore thumb right now.” Sans replied.“Boss? Isn’t Undyne the boss?” Papyrus questioned.Sans just stared at him in disbelief. “Is this some kinda joke, bro? You aren’t usually one to joke about responsibilities…”“Hey, wait, what are you even doing on the surface?” Undyne demanded. “Have you been able to cross the barrier all this time?”“Surface? Barrier? Are you two drunk or somethin’?” Sans seemed bewildered. “I thought we all agreed, no more bets where drunkeness is involved!”“No one’s drunk!” Papyrus replied quickly. “You don’t remember the barrier? We were all trapped in the Underground?”Sans sighed, “Look, bro, we’ve talked about this, if you’re gonna make up new code words you have to tell me what they mean. This just sounds like nonsense right now.”“But brother-” Papyrus was cut off by the sound of a phone ringing.“Hold on a second, bro,” Sans said, answering his phone. After a short pause, he said, “Okay bro, I- Wait.” Sans looked back and forth between the phone and Papyrus, looking both confused and slightly scared. “U-uh, I’ll call you back, bro…” After hanging up, Sans stared at Papyrus and Undyne. “Alright, what’s going on here?”Undyne shrugged. “We were hoping you could answer that. How did you get here?”Sans blinked. “Here as in this alley, or…?”“Here as in on the surface, or whatever you want to call this place!”Sans frowned. “Uh, this neighborhood, you mean? We’ve lived around here for years…”“Do the portals go through time as well?” Papyrus asked Undyne urgently.Undyne shrugged and made an 'i-don’t-know’ noise.Sans was now even more confused. “Portals?”“Yeah, remember?” Undyne replied, shooting a portal into the side of a building.“R-right… Uh, I’ll… See you later, guys…” Sans said, before speed-walking away.“Huh, he seemed a bit freaked out by that. Does he not remember when we showed him the portal earlier? I guess this must be in the really distant future or something,” Undyne commented. “Then again, wouldn’t portals be even more common in the distant future? Ugh, I’m making my head hurt…”“Let’s go before the portal closes,” Papyrus suggested, heading towards the portal. “Plus, it seems to be drawing some attention…” Sure enough, several individuals had stopped in the street to see what was going on.Undyne and Papyrus entered the portal before an even larger crowd could gather, and found themselves in yet another unexpected place. A classroom at a school, where several humans were seated at a table.“Wh-where did those things come from?” One of the humans asked when they noticed the two standing there, pointing at them, looking both terrified and furious.“Hello!” Papyrus said cheerfully. “Where are we?”Someone screamed, someone else fainted, and two people ran out of the room.“Well? Isn’t anyone going to answer his question?” Undyne asked.“Someone call the police,” whispered one of the humans to the others.“Oh! Look! It says 'PTA Meeting’ on the board over there!” Papyrus pointed out.“Huh. Wonder what that means?” Undyne said thoughtfully.“Hmmm… Public Toast Agreement?” Papyrus suggested.“Honestly that would be kinda interesting so I hope you’re right.”“I’ll have you know this is the Parent Teacher Association!” The human who had spoken earlier announced, looking at Undyne and Papyrus with disdain.“Doesn’t sound as interesting, but okay,” Undyne commented offhandedly.“It’s not supposed to be amusing, these meetings are very important-!”“Linda, careful, we don’t know how dangerous these things are,” one of the other humans spoke up.“I know Helen, but they insulted the good name of the PTA!” the first human replied.“Toast would’ve been better,” Undyne spoke up. Linda looked furious.“I’m hungry now,” Papyrus spoke up, “Think there’s a kitchen around here so we can make spaghetti?”“That’s enough! You have interrupted this meeting for far too long.” Linda said in a tone that showed she was clearly less brave than she was trying to seem.“Oh, fine, you’re no fun anyway.” Undyne muttered, creating a portal in the middle of the table just to spite Linda.“WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!?!” Linda shrieked, but Undyne didn’t bother to answer before jumping into the portal.“Bye!” Papyrus said, waving at the humans before following. “Have fun with the meeting!”Undyne and Papyrus stepped out of the portal and found themselves back in the dump.“Well, that was eventful.” Papyrus said, glancing around. “…We are back, right? This isn’t just a very convincing future version of the Underground?”“I think so,” Undyne commented, glancing around for any garbage that looked familiar.“That’s a relief. As fun as that was, it was quite confusing.”“Hmm, yeah, but that’s part of the fun!” Undyne then smirked, “Come on, let’s go tell Sans we went to space! That’ll show him for being too lazy to come to the dump with us!”
