I share the same sentiments with you! It was great to see that they added that new baby Boruto flashback scene with first time parents NH, but the entire episode did feel something lacking.

I was under the impression (there were hints about it that I saw somewhere before) that the episode would be somewhat similar to how it was during the Kurama episode, but I kinda... Didn't feel that?

I wasn't alone in watching that episode btw, and we had expressed that there was something missing in the overall feel of the episode. We were like, watching another regular episode for Boruto... Sure the animation was great, the fight scenes were well-executed, and the end part with Kawaki and Boruto was a good way to finish the series, but the emotions? Especially while Naruto was still holding on to Boruto, in complete denial of what happened... I was like - detached, neutral towards the whole thing.

And I know it's not because we already knew what was coming - we're all manga readers - we knew what was going to happen to Kurama but the emotions felt during the parts they were reminiscing had a lot of impact. Comparing that to the Boruto finale, well... Idk... I'm not even sure if I'm explaining this properly lol

Born I just started feeling uneasy and afraid that I might be a partypooper because of the tags I wrote, especially to you Born since you were the OP of the post. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable of what I said because everybody seems to enjoy the entirety of the episode (which is great! how long has it been since we hear good news from the Boruto episode?) Beats me.

But I'm relieved now that you felt the same way! If compared to Kurama's farewell, YES I AGREE WITH YOU!!!?!! We knew what's gonna happen and we just needed to sit back and watch how they'd execute the scene and I was literally crying and sobbing and choking on my breath even after a while I finished the ep of Kurama's farewell. It was so heartfelt and they absolutely did the scene justice! Even until now, I still feel a clench in my chest whenever I play the outro of that episode because it'd ALWAYS flood me with nostalgia of the feelings I felt when I watched it.

I was kinda expecting, nah, I really put my expectations high for this ep as well and maybe that's what makes it even more.....dare I say, disappointing? (no offense to those who enjoy the ep! your feelings are valid!!!)

My expectations skyrocketed once I saw the opening scenes of Naruto's core memories of baby Boruto and I was reaaaaally anticipating to see those glimpses come to life in the actual episode, with longer version, deeper flasback, and a profound heartfelt scenes!!!! Even when I was fascinated by the fight scenes, my mind would alway wonder "where's it? where's Naruto and (dead)Boruto? where's their moment and the flasbacks?????"

But then suddenly he got revived and I was like, "that's it?????????" 😭

I don't know...........it felt like....... everything just happened in a flash......too fast......like they rushed it to fit the 24minutes of the ep......like there's not enough time...... Even after finishing the ep, I was like, "where's my tears????????"

Nothing is stopping SP to go all out with the ep, like, wasn't it the finale of part 1????? I expect we'd get some blow in the guts with the ep hahahahahs that's (maybe) where I made my mistake. 😀

But my mami Hinata looked so good in the opening scene and for me it's their redeeming point lolol (though you must have also noticed the inconsistency of her hair? lol)

So that's my conclusion of the entire ep. I love love the opening and the ending, but the middle of the ep feels like it was lacking something....idk how to properly address this but I'm sure you understand what I mean😀❤️

are funny. i think the very first one i saw i chuckled a bit. but now it is like. every single post and i haven’t laughed at ANY of them since. and the longer this trend goes on the less funny i find it.

in psychoanalyzing myself about this (i’m avoiding a time-sensitive task, you see) i’ve come to the conclusion that what i dislike about it is the fact that, after the first few posts of that nature, any OP who is claiming to not want a ton of notes on their post is very clearly Not Actually Upset or dreading the notes or whatever and we know this for a fact because you can turn reblogs off!!! you can delete the post!!! there are ways that you could make it so that a post of yours never actually hits a significant number of reblogs in the first place. and so anyone who is saying that kind of “oh no please don’t do this to me! don’t curse me to have a lot of notes” is actually saying, like, “oh noOoOo~ please don’t give this post notes 😉😛 whatever will i dooooooo 👀😜” and so the whole post just comes across as so disingenuous.

so much of tumblr culture revolves around us sharing conversations between strangers that are funny or wild or interesting and that’s GREAT and what makes tumblr so cool!!! you can’t get that anywhere else!!!!! but the thing about it is that so much of what makes that sort of thing cool IS the authentic and genuine nature of it all - people are funny and do and say funny fucking things and that’s cool and it’s cool to see the ways that we interact and/or FAIL at interacting with one another. you see a tumblr post wherein someone references were-ralph’s pineapple gif and somebody else doesn’t get the reference and it feels genuine and fun. and then you get posts where people do their own take on the meme of the week - inserting their own fandom or hot take into the format of a current popular meme, or just taking a crack at saying something funny in a certain way. but when i see these posts that are purely and clearly people just PRETENDING to have a Situation but they’re not actually having a situation at all and in fact just wanted to get a lot of notes on a post so that more people will like their usual content so that they can get dopamine from having more notifications and interaction on their “content”, whatever that may be. and i know that we all know how a popular post CAN really nuke your notes for a while, we get it, and yes it’s fun to joke about that, especially when it happens to unsuspecting people who were used to shouting into the void that is tumblr and suddenly one day woke up to the void shouting back!!! but it’s much less fun when you have someone who is basically shouting into the void and just saying “oh noooo void, ~please~ don’t shout back at me 😏” because the reason those posts are funny in the first place is because the OP is getting fucked over (or just generally inconvenienced and surprised by a gajillion notifications) and reacting to that genuinely, and when the OP WANTED to get a bunch of notifications, they are not actually getting fucked over at all!!! they got exactly what they wanted which is far less satisfying an ending, especially when the whole premise of the joke is supposed to be “hahahaha this person wanted something to Not Happen but then it Happened 😈”

whew. okay i’m done i’m fine i’m finished ranting about this very specific pet peeve of mine. just know. if you make a post and someone tags it “investing at 20 notes for a 20k note post” or whatever. if you REALLY didn’t want to get a bunch of notes? the LAST thing you would do would be to screenshot that tag and say “don’t you dare” because you know damn well that is a recipe for a bunch of fucking notes and by doing that and formatting your post in that specific manner that you KNOW is designed to get hella notes, you are simply a poseur.

also fun fact i found out a few months back that poseur and poser are two different words!!!! isn’t that wild. i’m pretty sure they mean the same thing but it’s weird that there’s two of them and they are not just two different spellings of the same word

hey guys I have something important and need some help on

so like. For civics class we’re talking about minimum wage and we have to provide an argument about whether we think federal minimum wage should be lowered, kept the same, or raised. and long story short, I mentioned that like, in some areas, if we raised minimum wage to $15, then someone earning that would earn similar amount per year to what a teacher makes, to which I said teachers should be paid more. And my teacher brought up that “If we pay teachers more, where is that money coming from?” I said taxes.

basically to make this whole thing shorter, my teacher wants me to prove that the rich don’t pay taxes and should pay more taxes so that those taxes can go to things like paying teachers.

So I’m gonna enlist you guys to help me. Because I am going to do everything in my power to prove my point. I know as a fact that a LOT of people on this damn site care enough about this kind of stuff to do a fuckload of research just to provide evidence.

On this post, I am going to link any and all sources I find and evidence I find, and I want you guys to do the same. And when we get a strong amount of proof and research, I’m going to compile it into a fucking slideshow that I’m gonna present to my class(if y’all want I’ll link it here when I’m done) just to drive my point in. This might not seem like a big deal, but to me, it is. So I need you guys to help however you can. Reblog this and link posts or articles providing evidence or even just to boost this.

I know you guys can do this. And I’m not just gonna make you guys work for me here, because I’m gonna do my own research too.
