MY LOVE IS MINE ALL MINE — HWANG IN-HO
Pairing: Hwang In-ho/Frontman x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Misery. That’s all you felt. It all started when your husband had told you he needed to go to the island to watch over the games, and practically begged you to come along so he could keep an eye on you and your unborn child. It all seemed so innocent and simple.
That was until Gi-hun, a former winner of the games returned once more to play ‘the hero’ as your husband liked to say. After he helped the players survive in red light, green light, your husband was given no choice but to join the games—leaving you, your unborn child, and a few circle guards, who acted as personal bodyguards, alone.
You watched from afar as your husband disguised himself as player 001, hiding himself amongst the crowd and personally joining Gi-hun’s circle. You were so close to the due date, and scared. What if your husband wasn’t back in time? What would you do then?
As the days passed, you could feel the baby kicking more frequently, a reminder of the life growing inside you and the husband who should be by your side. Instead, you were left alone in the mansion, with only the guards for company.
Meanwhile, the Gi-hun and a few other players were planning to infiltrate the games and kill the frontman. Little did they know, he was with them all along. In-ho was quick to fake his death, scurrying to get his triangle and square guards to finish the players off, and stop Gi-hun.
In-ho runs up the stairs to your shared private quarters, stopping at the sound of a distant wailing cry. As he slowly gets closer, he pulls out his gun, just in case. As he turns around the corner, he is surprised with the sight of a few circle guards (masks off), two doctors, a nurse, and a small infant in your arms. You had given birth? Already?
“In-ho!” You look up from the mewling newborn. “You’re back.” You smile warmly. "I am." He gives you a rare smile, eyes crinkling at the corners. He watches you coo at your new bundle of joy. In-ho sees the circles under your eyes, your messy hair, and your tired expression. He realizes how much pain you must've gone through giving birth alone, guilt filling his stomach. "Was it painful?"
“Yes. But I’m alright now.” His expression softens. In-ho slowly approaches you, setting his gun down on the nightstand before carefully sitting down next to you. He looks at the small infant with a hint of curiosity and fondness. "Can I hold him?"
“Of course.” You smile, tiredly handing your son over. “He is your son after all.” He gently takes the baby, supporting his tiny head with one hand. His eyes search your face, a flicker of something tender and vulnerable there. "He's perfect…" He cradles the baby closer, then suddenly looks concerned. "Have you eaten? Had water?"
“Yes, Jagiya.” You coo in Korean, gently cupping his face. Jagiya—My darling. It's a term of endearment that warms his chest. In-ho leans into your touch, eyes fluttering closed for a brief moment. When he opens them again, they're filled with a fierce protectiveness. "I apologize for not being here."
“I forgive you.” You smile as he hands your newborn son back into your arms. “I love you.” You say sitting up to kiss him as you cradle the little tot. In-ho captures your lips in a tender kiss, his heart aching with love and regret. He holds you both close, feeling the warmth of your bodies and the gentle coos of your baby.
For a moment, he forgets about the games, the players, and his role as the Frontman. All the pain and suffering he has gone through because of the games. The loss of his first wife and child. It all disappears as he mutters three words. “I love you.”

𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆: Sugar Daddies! In-ho/Gi hun x Fem!Reader
𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘: Your sugar daddies want to show you a little surprise…
𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓: 1.4k
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆: Breath Play!, Daddy kink, Spit play,Blowjob, They run a secret undercover business together, Reader wears a pink dress—so if u don’t like pink ignore the dress part
Tumblr media
You were truly living the life that others craved and died for, while others had to work 9/5 jobs to get a few change; you however just had to show your puppy eyes to ether one of your sugar daddies and get thousands. What a life.
Gi hun was the most protective of you, always making sure you had enough money to sustain your lavish lifestyle, you were his princess if not a queen in his eyes; he would do anything just to see your eyes light up like fireworks and your crazed smile adorn your face because you received a diamond necklace. It truly made his day.
In-ho on the other hand was a bit more stern when giving you your allowance. He always had a few insisting questions ready to lash out when your pretty self begged him for a couple grands, “ what do you need the money for ?” was always his first question, as much as you love him, you couldn’t hide the fact that he slightly annoyed you when it came down to situations like this, because quite frankly as harsh as it sounds he was just your sugar daddy and not your actual father so he should start acting like it.
Anyways, tonight, something was definitely going to go down…you could feel it in air, especially when the normal stoic and calm In-ho responded with using “Xx” at the end of his sentence when messaging you, this was quite outlandish for his standards seeing as though his responses are always short and snappy; so this behaviour was really strange from him. Coming down 2 solutions as to why In-ho was so ‘happy’ you thought, it was ether he just made a huge deal with another incorporation and is feeling a lil babygirl today orrr someone drugged your man with laughing gas and now he’s suffering the consequences. Ether way it goes, you’re still gonna get that money regardless sooo….
Following orders from your sugar daddy’s ( which was to meet them 8pm sharp at their shared establishment), you got dolled up in your most luxurious outfit, which consisted of a sparkly pink dress, with each diamond etched into the fabric; some cute heals that gracefully adorned your feet and last but not least, a mini purse that shimmered like stars in the night sky. Hearing the sound of your designated chauffeur that your men ordered you, you got up from your vanity and headed out your bedroom.
𝟒𝟎 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑…
As I stepped into the lavish penthouse suite, my heart raced with anticipation. Tonight was going to be unforgettable, thanks to the two powerful men who had taken me under their wing - In-ho, the ruthless entrepreneur, and Gi-hun, his cunning right-hand man. It’s quite funny because you knew the other side to their jobs ( In-ho the leader of squid game and Gi-hun who surrendered and became In-ho’s right hand man) but still tried everything in their power to distract you from it.
They had promised me a night to remember, and I intended to hold them to that vow. In-ho, resplendent in a tailored black suit, greeted me with a firm kiss on the cheek. His eyes, dark and intense, seemed to devour me whole. “My dear, you look exquisite tonight”, he purred, his voice low and seductive. “Shall we begin our little game?”
As I nodded eagerly, Gi-hun emerged from the shadows, his chiseled features illuminated by the soft glow of candles. He wore a crisp white shirt unbuttoned to reveal a tantalizing glimpse of his chest. A sly smile graced his plump lips as he approached, his eyes roving over my body with undisguised hunger. “We've prepared something special for you”, Gi-hun said, leading me to a plush velvet sofa. “Something to satisfy all your deepest desires, seeing as though you’ve been really good for us.”
Gi hun knelt before me, his hands deftly removing my shoes and stockings. His fingers traced the sensitive skin of my ankles, sending shivers up my spine. As he worked his way up, his touch grew bolder, teasing the hem of my skirt.Suddenly, In-ho appeared at my side, his large hand cupping my chin. “Open wide, baby girl”, he commanded, his thumb pressing against my lower lip. I parted my mouth obediently, and he slipped in a finger, probing deep. The sensation made me gasp, and In Gi hun seized the opportunity to slide his own colossal hand beneath my skirt, his palm grazing the damp heat of my core through my panties.
In-ho withdrew his finger, leaving a trail of saliva in its wake. “Such a good little slut, aren't you?” he praised, his breath hot against my ear. “Now, let's see how well you can serve us both”.He guided me onto my knees, positioning me between Gi huns spread legs. The other man looked down at me with lust-glazed eyes, his cock straining against the zipper of his pants. “Show Daddy what a good girl you are”.
Gi hun instructed, his voice husky with desire. I reached for the button of his trousers, popping it open with trembling fingers. As I pulled down the zipper, his thick erection sprang free, slapping against his stomach. Creamy pre-cum glistened and oozed down from the tip, slowly trickling down his shaft like a stream, I couldn't resist leaning in to lap it up with my tongue. “Mmm, so sweet”, I moaned around his shaft, swirling my tongue around the head. Gi hun letted out a guttural groan as his cock hitted the back of my throat. His hands tangled in my hair as he guided me further down. I took him deeper, relishing the musky flavor and the way his cock throbbed in my mouth.
Just as I found a rhythm, In-ho loomed over us, his brown eyes blazing with possessiveness. “Enough playing nice”, he growled, roughly yanking me off Gi hun’s dick. Before I could even let out a whine of protest, In-ho spun me around and shoved me face-first onto the plush sofa cushions. My already short dress rode up, exposing my ass to his hungry gaze. With a swift motion, he ripped away my panties, leaving me bare and vulnerable.
“You're finally ours now, no more going back and forth , you’re gonna stay with us sweetheart”, he declared, his voice dripping with dominance. “And we're going to use you however we please”In-ho shuffled out the way, allowing Gi hun to take his spot behind me, his hands gripped my hips as he positioned himself at my entrance. Without warning, he thrusted inside, filling me to the brim with his thick length. I cried out at the sudden intrusion, my walls clenching around him as he set a brutal pace. In-ho watched intently, his own arousal evident in the bulge straining against his pants. “Look at her take it like a pro” he bellowed in the shadows as his eyes greedily took in the sight of me being used like a fuck toy.
Gi hun grunted in agreement, his hips slamming against mine with increasing force. The sound of flesh meeting flesh echoed through the room, mingling with my moans and whimpers. In-ho stepped closer, his hand wrapping around my throat from behind. He squeezed gently, just enough to make my pulse race. “Breathe for us, pet”, he commanded, his fingers tightening slightly. I gasped, the pressure on my windpipe sending a thrill straight to my core. The feeling of my life all in the clutches of the man I so desperately craved, drived me crazy to no end.
In response, Gi hun picked up speed, his cock pistoning in and out of me with reckless abandon. The combined sensations pushed me to the brink, my climax building with each stroke. Being the cunning man In-ho is, sensed my impending release and tightened his grip, cutting off my air supply entirely.Darkness crept in at the edges of my vision as I teetered on the edge, my body tensing in preparation for the inevitable. Just when I thought I might pass out, In-ho released his hold on my throat, allowing me to inhale raggedly.
The sudden rush of oxygen entering my lungs sent me careening over the edge like crashing waves. My orgasm hit with the force of a tsunami, waves of pleasure crashing through me as I spasmed around Gi hun’s still-thrusting cock. He groaned, his own release imminent, and buried himself to the hilt one final time before finding his peak.Thick ropes of cum painted my insides as he filled me to overflowing, his hot seed triggering another aftershock of ecstasy. In-ho watched with a satisfied smirk, his own erection straining painfully against his pants.
“ Ready for part two, sweetheart?”

crappy rant/analysis about the Voice of the Paranoid because I'm very normal about him
Tumblr media
with that said.
It's pretty clear that he's not just scared. Anxiety isn't his only personality trait, and the game makes it incredibly prominent that he's no helpless victim. He's a starved animal backed into a corner, straining his chain thin, clawing and biting. He's desperate and frantic and charging at it all with nothing left to lose.
But I don't really think people talk about his spite and resentment as much, and it's a little surprising given how much he moulds it to his advantage. Still, he's not just sassy for the hell of it: he genuinely hates what he's being forced to do. He's incredibly frustrated. He's very, very done with your bullshit—and that includes his own bullshit too, because he's the scared part of you (Quiet) that turns your fears into reality.
So he despises everything that he's being put through (by you, himself and the other voices), and I think he definitely despises the rest of the Quiet to some extent. He's mainly driven by sheer desperation, but petty spitefulness is also very much involved—in Nightmare, he gets very quick to snipe at Hero despite having a job to do. He even prolongs the argument for a while before Narrator urges him to resume the chant.
And I think that just like the Contrarian, the Paranoid hates what he himself is too. Granted, @/sssilverspades and @/salty-an-disco brought this up, but all the voices probably have that same capacity for self-loathing and I think he's no exception.
He's the most perceptive voice, but at the same time he twists his perception against himself a lot. He's the reason Nightmare happened. He's the reason his fears manifest. And given how quick he was to figure stuff out in Cage and Apotheosis, I think he'd figure that his biggest problem by then was himself.
It's because he's not okay that they could stand a chance against Apothy...but it's also because he's not okay that she happened in the first place. He's very far gone here. At that point, there wasn't much left for him to do but pretend it all away—just a dream, just a dream—and shut his fears off.
He wants it all to be over with, which is especially apparent at the end of Apotheosis's Grace ending, or at the beginning of Nightmare-Wraith. He's doing what he can and keeping it going, but it's not because he wants to. It's because it's the only thing he's even capable of doing anymore. And it's turning him bitter, turning him resentful.
This is what you've done, and he's a part of you. He's regretting and atoning just as much as he's fighting, yet it's what he must do.
Let's not completely rid him of accountability, by the way, which is another thing I wish fandom acknowledged more. You often get him by abandoning the Princess and denying her what she wants. This is what you did: what he did from beneath you. And he's suffering for his own actions.
This is what fear does—it's perfectly natural to be scared and anxious, but you're not the only one it affects. Let it fester, and you lock yourself in. Let it fester, and you hurt yourself more and more. Let it fester, and you lash out against this hurt. Let it fester and you turn others as hollow as you've become. Fear helps no one. All you can do is amend and atone, which in a way is kind of what he ends up doing sometimes. Or you get Moment of Clarity.
As much as I love him, it's a bit hard to see people just praising him for being the goat (even though he is lol) because of how much he helps. Yes, he's a very useful voice. But he's the very reason he has to be useful, not that he even wants to be here.
I might just be completely misinterpreting his character here, though.

The ethos from the Russian pro-piracy writer community as I remember it is:
It's actually secretly good for the solo / newbie writer to have their books pirated.
See, books are expensive, and most people have a limited entertainment budget - one that absolutely cannot keep up with how many books they'd like to read (applies to other art similarly). And nobody wants to pay for a book and then find out they don't actually like it.
Now, writers who've already made it big - writers who're writing their 20th book in a series or whatnot - don't suffer from this much. Their target audience isn't buying blind, they know what they're looking for, they're willing to pay for these books as much as they have to pay for books period.
But newbie writers? They need readers to actually /be familiar/ with their books first. Having their first draft online (on samizdat usually, think vague mix of royalroad and ao3 in terms of how it works) is great for getting that initial engagement and audience, but relatively few people are actively on samizdat looking for ongoing works (this is where it's more similar to ao3 than rr lol), and usually when you sign a contract with a publisher, they require you to stub your work )=
(This also applies to writers who are already moderately successful, but whose books are getting published as more expensive hardcovers, so even a hardcore fan can't really afford to get them all on an average person's income.)
In this sense, piracy is a marketing boon - far more people will read the books and then buy them where they otherwise wouldn't have, than will read the books for free and stop there where they would have bought them otherwise.
Of course, this argument works a lot better for books, where owning a physical copy has greater value than just moral satisfaction / storage, a printed book for many people is just more enjoyable than a digital copy.
But it still works on an ethical level: you have only so much money to pay for art. Nobody benefits from you enjoying less art in your life, and you are going to spend more of that money if you actually have preexisting strong convictions of who you want to give it to.
(It's also more relevant for books than video games, I guess, because a book is like 2-10 hours of your time, while a video game works on multiples of that even at a low indie end, so a lot fewer video games can take up more of your free time and desire to game)
(And of course, it's a function of economy, prices and income. Books are expensive around here in the post-soviet space for us locals; are video games cheap? In America for Americans maybe they are. For us over here... well, I was willing to pay for Minecraft, and that exhausted my video game budget for the foreseeable future tbh)
tirade on pirating software. 1.7k words.
i recently read a post by someone who is anti-piracy (better: against making copies of software). they said that if you can't afford something you should wait for a sale or find a free alternative. and then they said that the only time that they find piracy (better: finding a copy online) acceptable is for games that are so old that you cannot buy them from a licensed vendor, but only from resellers, because in that case the developer doesn't get the money anyway.
i feel like i could make a sort of loophole argument in this framework, which is that i can watch ebay until the game is listed by a reseller, and then pirate it, because i'm no longer making a choice between paying the developer or not paying, but paying a reseller and not paying, and i've decided not paying a reseller is morally permissable.
but i think it can go a little further. they specified developer. i should pay the developer. even though i don't buy directly from the developer, but a licensed vendor. but the vendor's surcharge is not worth bringing up.
this is because we don't believe in following the law, exactly, and thus you should follow all copyright laws for that reason. it's because of, usually, one of two reasons: developers deserve to be compensated, or that we have a moral obligation to support the developer.
on the first view, the "just deserts argument", it's not clear to me that the moral obligation to not pirate is watertight in this case (when i said "pirate" before, i made a silly gesture, meant to indicate that i'll say that for brevity, but am not acquiescing). a developer deserves to be compensated for their work; but what do they deserve exactly?
does every developer deserve to become as rich from their game as Notch, and every time they don't there's been an injustice? you probably don't think that.
do they deserve some particular amount that we would say is 'fair'?—it isn't unjust if they do better (although you might think so, and complain about how much of the spotlight they take up compared to others just as deserving), but we only require that much success of them. this might be dependent on the kind of game that it is, for example, a better game deserves more success. if that's the case, then we've exonerated at least some pirates; so long as the developer is as successful on the market as they deserve to be, we've done nothing wrong.
you might say that it's wrong to pirate games that haven't yet reached the threshold of just success, because you place them in jeoprady of never achieving the success they deserve. further, you might say that this threshold is epistemologically unknowable to human beings (see: click), and therefore in practice you can never justify piracy, because you never know if a game has reached the threshold of justice. pirates, therefore, gamble with justice, and only Minos will pay their winnings.
i think this would be a good argument, except that i don't understand why i, as someone who wants to download a copy of the game, am the one who bears the moral responsibility. if the success of this developer is a matter of justice, then surely we all bear that responsibility, even people who don't play videogames. therefore we should all purchase and promote every game, and so forth.
this isn't what any anti-piracy advocate believes, even if they seem to take a deserts line. instead they restrict our obligations to participating in ordinary market mechanisms. the game is being sold as a commodity; therefore people should buy that commodity from a point of sale apporved by the producer, and so forth. it's taken for granted that the anarchy of the market is the right way to guarantee justice, and other possibilities are never explored. ultimately, the deserts argument naturalizes capitalist relations. once you remove these blinders, the mechanism for delivering justice it actually proposes seems obviously unreliable and unsatisfactory (in fact, i believe this criticism applies to all deserts arguments).
here i will quickly add my complaint against the second argument, that we should support the developer. the argument runs: if you like a developer, you should support their work by purchasing their products. i am a lot more sympathetic to this argument and so i won't spend much of the post attacking it. it's enough to say that it suffers from the same problem we just mentioned: why is participating in ordinary market mechanisms the best way to support the developer? capitalism is likewise naturalized by this case when it is advanced as a moral argument against piracy. therefore we can run the same argument: if we have a moral obligation to support game developers, then it's not clear to me why only potential players have that obligation, and so forth (but this time the criticism doesn't apply to all similar arguments, just this one).
however, it often isn't advanced that way, and as a pragmatic argument i tend to agree with it. in fact sometimes they actually have a case for participating in normal market mechanisms: DMC fans want you to buy DMC games because then Capcom will look at their sales figures and decide it's worth making another game. you could argue that they still have capitalist blinkers on because they only advocate you buy one copy, the one you'll play, which is how the game is sold. maybe they should be asking you to buy a hundred copies or whatever. but we don't want them to do that, LOL. and the feeling is usually that there are limits of what you can ask out of someone; when one DMC youtuber was spending quadruple digits on a DMC-themed gacha, his viewers expressed concern and encouraged him to stop. so cheers to DMC players.
in fact, there might be ethical reasons to only ask someone to purchase a copy of something in the normal way: when i try to get you to buy one of Xraftstar / Charity / Porpentine's games, i am doing it because i personally want my friend to succeed, and i want to see their art recognized. this is a kind of moral motivation, but it's the morality of rendering personal obligations; you are not likewise obligated. however, i of course feel there are limits on what i can ask of you, and so, unlike when i make donation posts for my friends who are struggling, i'm only comfortable encouraging you to purchase a copy of something i think will actually render a use-value to you (even if you could still obtain it in other ways and get the same use-value).
but anyway, why specify the developer in the first place? the work put in by the publisher, the developers and maintainers of the platform its sold on, the bandwidth of the payment processor, and so forth, all get left out of the question, even though they are all more or less necessary parts of the normal market mechanisms we're encouraging you to participate in.
i think it's obvious that the anti-piracy advocate of this kind doesn't actually want to advocate for participation in the market economy, like Bush during the recession. they want to be just by the developer because they see the developer as a fellow individual like themselves; they actually want to cut through the market alienation and simply do right by another person. therefore all of the other capitalists who make money off the sale—publisher, platform, payment processor—are just more big companies, perhaps even leeches we'd be better off without.
it's funny, because historically this view was used to support piracy when it came to music. you used to see a lot of charts like this:
Tumblr media
how much of a CD goes to the label, manufacturers and distributors, to show how little really goes to an artist, to shut down people who said you should buy the CD to support them. there's a sort of naive anarchism underlying this: i want to help the individual who made the music i love, who needs manufacturers and distributors anyway?
in this kind of simple moral reasoning, resellers really get shafted. they're seen as scalpers, taking money without producing any value. no one says: 'make sure to support resellers!' thus we never ask who the individual behind all of the market alienation the resller is. whoever they are they don't deserve the money. then, when you are poor and struggling, and cannot afford to buy things for yourself, what do people tell you to do? sell your games, CDs...
but i don't want to be too sarcastic here, because there is nothing funny about this impulse to reach through market alienation and connect morally with another individual. it is the essence of emancipation. but hear my argument: purchasing commodities from them is an unsatisfactory way to realize it. it's true that you can certainly help someone by buying what they sell; many of us rely on this to a greater or lesser extent, and, pragmatically, i hope we'll all buy Nadia Nova's next game and put food in her belly. but systematically, not in this or that case, but as a general moral principle, the commodity form, the exchange of cash for things or copies of things—this is the very thing that reproduces these conditions of alienation in the first place. and these relations—their predictability as a feature of the market, or even their scarcity as a part of a volatile and impermanent system—is what habitually places the developer in a condition of alienation from their labour, coaxing them to give up their so-called intellectual "property", then forbidding them from using the games they made; or by seducing them into placing their music on a platform, then offering them increasingly small margins and less control; or to post their content (qua sex workers) on a paywall platform, which then imposes complex payout structures to keep them from claiming their earnings. and so forth. the desire to reach through all of the noise and support the individual is inevitably captured, redirected, and fed upon in as many ways as it can be, until the whole thing crashes down and the cycle starts again.
therefore, should you purchase or pirate the next game you want to play? Remember Ptahhotep: "The noble who sitteth before food divideth it as his soul moveth him; he giveth unto him that he would favour."

Blue Boy Faifa is the gift that keeps giving in episode fourteen of Perfect 10 Liners because I don't think he is even aware of how flirtatious he comes across ("I'm trying to get you to tell me your name"), yet he leaves the door unlocked for his brother to comfort his future brother-in-law even though he is pissed at Yotha. Once he realizes he wants Wine's attention, he is going to make the best boyfriend!
Tumblr media
But Faifa and Wine might need Tawan's help to get there first.
Tumblr media
Because he is the love guru whose spidey sense tells him when the color-coded gays are in love.
Tumblr media
Tawan got these two opposites together!
Tumblr media
And now red is publicly written over Yellow Yal Arm's heart for his Red Rascal Arc.
Tumblr media
So now that Black Brooder Yotha is lighter because of Green Guy Gun, this could be them too!
Tumblr media
Yotha already put a ring set square bracelet that is reserved for partners on it.
Tumblr media
So Gun has permanent real estate on Cloud 9 much to the dismay of his barking Blue Boy besties when Kong seems to have a poly agenda, but Faifa's "Gentleness Shows Strength" shirt is really speaking to who he is as a character.
Tumblr media
Because Faifa is still leaving that door open, so his brother and brother-in-law can continue whatever intricate queer ritual Yotha is committed to rather than just realizing he is IN LOVE!
Tumblr media
Doesn't mean he isn't judging them when the morning comes.
Tumblr media
It must be a Blue Boy thing because Kong is also judging Faifa for being "too friendly" with everyone and their mom, which is only building up more evidence to be *the* problem in the final story of Faifa x WIne.
Tumblr media
But as long as these two color-coded boys in love can keep playing the daisy "he loves me… he loves me not" game who cares about some judgy friends.
Tumblr media
Because Arm certainly doesn't care that his besties Green Guy Po and Blue Boy Sand are always judging him for being needy and clingy.
Tumblr media
But Yotha also has to deal with his brothers and Neutral Newton is anything but neutral.
Tumblr media
He is quick to throw Yotha under the bus about his love life, but I'm hoping this dad joins the elite squad of parents with THREE gay sons since Green Guy Po is out there looking for a boo while Newton is sitting there minding other people's business. Make it happen. Amen.
Tumblr media
But now I have to see the exact moment Warit ripped Yotha's heart out and stomped on it. I get the reason, but I also get why Yotha is still so hurt by it. Yotha can't trust himself or what it is feeling because what he thought was love was a lie.
Tumblr media
Also, Warit has a type, and it's damaged Black Brooder. Look at the pink light hit as they kiss instead of actually discuss their issues!
Tumblr media
They are lucky they are beautiful because they are toxic af.
Tumblr media
But I'm distracted by Gun, the light of Yotha's life, making a mistake of planning a weekend visit to his family with Yotha without actually speaking to Yotha first. Babe, your man has trust issues. You cannot spring this on him and expect a good response!
Tumblr media
Not even Faifa being the one light thing in Yotha's dark room can coax this Black Brooder into trusting his heart again.
Tumblr media
Now the usually happy and chill Green Guy Gun has to convince his color-coded buddies that he isn't in pain because Yotha is being distant at the mere suggestion that he wants something more real, yet nobody is convinced. Not at all. Not even a little.
Tumblr media
Yotha is soooo light around Gun, but he is so scared to mess this up that he just keeps hurting Gun, and Gun just keeps smiling through it. They are practically wearing the same color, and I'm in a glass cage of emotions.
Tumblr media
And Faifa can't really help either one of them through this because he sacrifices so much of himself for others that he ends up the only one suffering each time. Wine, as another Blue Boy, please be gentle with your future Blue Boyfriend. He will literally die if you don't help him.
Tumblr media
Because he and his brothers are so traumatized that Yotha thought it was okay to tell Gun that he should leave him if he found someone to love him better, so now he is sitting outside a bathroom in a light shirt but a dark hallway,
Tumblr media
While the light of his life is crying inside of it!
Tumblr media
AND NOW THE DOOR IS LOCKED AT NIGHT!
Tumblr media
BECAUSE GUN HAS LOCKED HIS HEART AWAY FROM THE DARKNESS! NOOOO!

And now Yotha is taking out the tie that has his birthday on it after imagining Gun back in his room. I'm on the floor. I'm crying into the tie. I'm using it like a Puffs Plus with Lotion, and I'm unwell about it!

No. Gun! Don't do that! Don't show that it hurts when Yotha touches you. Don't do that to my heart when you are basically wearing black because you love him. DON'T HURT ME LIKE THIS!

Solas sees himself in Rook is the lie in Veilguard I cannot get over.
"Solas sees himself in Rook, perhaps even things he doesn't like to acknowledge", they said. There are no two people more diametrically opposed than Rook and Solas. Outside of Rook doing that thing that pissed off a bunch of people in some sort of authority over them, there is nothing between the two to connect them. All their parallels are utterly superficial.
Well, they are both leaders! Solas lead armies, agents, spies against seven powerful mages with armies, agents and worshipers of their own. He had to be ruthless, to sacrifice, forge alliances knowing he'll break them, to manipulate. His friendship with Felassan suffers because it's exceptionally difficult to be emotionally open with a person you give orders to, who you know might die in your name, for your cause, willingly. Solas know it. That's why Felassan writes about how Solas is planning something and is not telling anyone, even his closest friend. It's nothing good. Both know that and neither can do anything about it because there is massive wall between them made of their complex relationship, their cause, Solas' devotion to Mythal and his vengeance for her murder. Solas cannot be a true friend to Felassan just as Felassan can be a true friend to Solas. Love and care are there there but there are things bigger than them and their relationship at play. Solas had to go along with the Dread Wolf narrative even if he hated it. Rook has to prove they are a really good guy to factions and therapyspeak their team of professionals into working under a lot of pressure. Rook suffers none of the consequences of leadership unless they utterly ignore their companions' side quests. What does Rook lose? Their moral codex? Not once did they have to do anything morally questionable. Their relationships? Hardened mechanics is utterly meaningless in the narrative. Since Hardened mechanics is the only thing that was brought from Origins, it's fair to compare it to Origins: Neve is not Leliana who becomes ruthless and thinks murder might actually be an answer to many questions; Lucanis isn't Alistair who accepts that he must become First Talon. What does Rook lose? One companion who willingly sacrifices themselves.
Solas made choices. Stupid ones, yes, but choices. His actions had terrible consequences. Rook is not active in the narrative. They only react. The choice between cities is so in the moment that it isn't about what Rook is willing to sacrifice, what terrible consequence they are more likely to accept, it is not about "all choices are terrible and you have to choose" but reacting to having to choose at all with very little information based on your companions 3 seconds explanation before they ran away. In inquisition, the choice between mages and templars is also quite early in the game. But it influences how you meet Cole and Dorian, it influences who comes to attack Haven, which enemy you are more frequently encounter in the world. Antivan Crows and Rivain apparently have business dealings going all the time, about supplies and Antaam, but after a dragon attacks Treviso, the Lords of Fortune do not offer a dragon hunter (who is big Crow fan) to help out their assassin business partners and consequently Rook. No, it's on Harding to find the dragon hunter. They see a blighted dragon in D'Meta Crossing, hear Ghilan'na speak through it, and not even say that this might be a big fucking problem very quickly and no one nearby knows how to handle it. It's after a city gets blighted that Solas is telling you to find a dragon hunter. Thank you, dear, but I knew that 6 hours ago. Rook somehow didn't tho. The choice between the cities is utterly superfluous, influencing only your gameplay (which companion can't heal you, which city's side quest get cut, which merchants aren't available) rather than the world. Minrathous is no better for fending off Elgar'nan in the end whether you save it or not. UNFORTUNATELY, due to AMA and John Epler, they resolved the artificial moral quandary of this choice as well. Because the Blight in Minrathous will calcify and die at the end of the game, the blight in Treviso will not. Thanks, I hate it. Though the Archon you choose is very much aware that there are blighted gods with an equally blighted dragons but no preparations for any war marches, attacks, sieges will be made. Antiva doesn't reconsider its governance after having a city invaded and blighted. You chose Treviso? Cool. MInrathous' blight will die at the end, Dorian will become Archon and outlaw slavery and cults. Crows rule unchallenged. You chose Minrathous? New Archon is outlaw slavery and cults, your blighted mage will be just fine, Crows rule unchallenged, not a single Talon is blighted. Sad about Treviso, though, that place might just have to be Chernobyl of Antiva.
Solas had moral complexity. Rook doesn't. Varric handpicked the goodest, goofiest little guy to go against a morally dubious ancient being (MW Rook seems to have committed some cultural taboo but don't worry that will not influence how Emmrich views you. MW is EASIER to gain rep with instead of harder. Strife being that way about VJ Rook who saved lives of their people is nonsensical because Strife sided with helping a human mage instead of cutting off said mage's limbs to free himself. LoF background is nonsensical. Why a bunch of pirates give a shit what nobles think? Because trade? They trade fucking lost treasures, not freshly caught salmon. If not those guys, it's gonna be the other guys. Every nation has insufferable rich people who like to put "exotics" into their home decor.) WHY Varric picked the goodest, goofiest little guy in Thedas to stop an ancient mage who fooled an entire organization (and possibly his lover) a decade ago before disappearing into mist that Spymaster of Inquisition couldn't find him until he wanted to be found makes no sense. The man who has lived and actively participated in the shit happening in Kirkwall and Inquisition. The man who fucking lies for a living. Yes, Varric is a overall a good man, but he isn't the paragon of goodness, far from it. It's not Varric who approves you helping refugees in Inquisition. In fact, Varric approves of Inquisitor deciding to let soldiers to fend for themselves. Varric greatly approves of bullshitting your way through thing, including lying, and protecting what is yours. Hawke was never the goodest guy, they are either a smuggler or merc he hired to go through the Deep Roads. Without committing to either choice presented in DA2, Hawke was presented with moral choices where either pick can be dubious. Hawke had to have picked either mages or templars. A bunch of people who are without a doubt dangerous. Or an order who will commit atrocious crimes because they can get away with given that the crime is against a mage. Hawke had some sort of relationship with the guy who bombed the Chantry and either executed him or let him run, either choice without being canonical presents a moral quandary of its own. Varric writes books about how underhanded tactics, lying, spying, and manipulation with a dose of blackmail can actually be for the benefit of the greater good if done with right intetions. But by choosing Rook, it's like Varric thinks that goodness of Inquisitor is what gets one through Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, and not ruthlessness, self-service, and a lot of Varric's own favourite hobby - lying. Why Varric you meet in DA2 and Inquisition picks Rook? Well, he CALLS Rook clever and adaptable, but all Rook's cleverness is bulldozing through obstacles and killing obviously evil guys. Rook is stubborn, determined - no doubt. But Rook isn't clever, cunning, or crafty. They prioritize saving life in droves, which is something that would be on Varric's mind IF Varric was to believe Solas was a heartless bastard with no regard for the damage he causes and we know that's NOT what Varric believes about Solas.
Solas has to fight against his downfall - pride. I genuinely don't know what Rook has as a flaw they struggle against. Their compassion doesn't get them in trouble, they don't get tricked or betrayed. But Solas puts them in prison! Yes, but the reason Rook gets caught isn't due to Solas's trickery but because they can't do shit in the moment. They just fought against Ghilan'nain and her darkspawn puppets alone while trying to free their companions, get knocked on the head a few times, hangs upside down like cattle while their friend gets skewered. How Solas gets them into the prison is TACTICAL. Rook is weak, Rook is tired, Rook is vulnerable, and the Veil is thin so he can actually reach through. It's not trickery. But Rook and Co couldn't shut up about Solas' inevitable betrayal so the payoff is due in whatever way possible. Solas thinks he alone can fix what he has broken, he alone has to face Elgar'nan because many ancient grudges and regrets are knotted up in there. Solas turns on his friends because he thinks what he must do is the thing he must do or all is lost (elven immortality, magic, spirits, knowledge, the world he knew and its history). He thinks he alone knows better than anyone. Partially because he is one of the very few beings who lived since it all began, before the world was changed by the Veil. The Prison sequence wants you the player to believe Rook carries the responsibility in some internalized way, but it's not fucking written in any way until this point, so why would you consider it an issue Rook has to actively face and has struggled with and not just an excuse to have Solas out? My brothers and sisters by the Maker's grace, Leandra scolding Hawke for their sibling's death was more scathing than choosing a whole damn city to be left to burn.
"I've molded you into someone the prison can accept in my place". How? You've done nothing. We had like 4 conversations. 3 of which you spent telling me about the Evanuris, the Blight, their dragon thralls, and how much you fucking hate Elgar'nan. Solas says nothing that changes Rook in any way, how they view their leadership, their actions, or themselves. I think the prison will accept anyone with a formed frontal lobe, honestly. Solas makes you say "I'll do whatever it takes" in the dialogue! Again, that attitude Solas tries to push on you is: a. fucking necessary? you have immortal beings with pet dragons and almost unlimited power to fight against. b. the attitude is more embraced by your companions than Rook. c. Rook is never pushed into doing anything morally questionable or even debatably interesting to reach their objective. Not once is Rook saying "i don't want to do this, i hate to do this, but i have no choice." Rook doesn't even have to lie! Not fucking once!
Tricking someone doesn't make you right. It's one of the things Rook and Solas will discuss. And regardless of anything, Rook will go Shiro Emiya "just because you are correct doesn't mean you are right" on Solas's ass. And that's good. It shows that Solas is shit with introspection just like Elgar'nan and Ghian'nain are. It shows why he is stuck in the prison. On the other hand, his fucking murals are shows very nicely why he is stuck in the prison: he immortalizes his regrets that he wishes to forget instaed of working through them. And by bringing the point of trickery without engaging with what it actually menas to trick... It creates a problem. Well, two problems, actually. A. Where the Solas you meet in Inquisition and Trespasser and when can we get him back? Where is the man who tricked a whole ass organization, played chooms with a Seeker of Truth, Qunari spy, published liar, Spymaster of the Divine, and most ruthless diplomat? Never once does Solas feel superior or above the people he tricked there. He is in fact very fond of the Seeker of Truth who not once found truth on her own (I love you Cassandra). He is very fond of the Antivan diplomat who cheats, lies, manipulates, blackmails probably even better than he did as Dread Wolf and he doesn't feel any superiority for having outplayed Josephine. The reason Solas is the trickster is because it's his only weapon. He was never as powerful like Elgar'nan or Mythal, doesn't have a bunch of other somewhat powerful egomaniacs standing for his cause. Wits, trickery, deception are his only damn weapon, were his only damn weapon for centuries. That's why he is so good at it. The problem of Solas isn't in being a fucking trickster who thinks he is right because he can outsmart you, Veilguard, it's that he goes about solving the problems he creates the same way he goes about making them in the first place: alone, through deception. His trickery is a double edged sword and he constantly cuts himself, refusing to lay it down. He alone tricks the Evanuris into containing the Blight with their life force. Boom! The Veil. He lets the Venatori get his orb and bring it to Corypheaus, thinking he outsmarted them all and soon will unlock his orb and tear down the Veil he created. Boom! Corypheus lives, there is hole in the sky! So he slithers his way into the only force he thinks can fix what he just fucked up - the Inquisition - through deception, alone. That's his torment nexus. You tried and you came close, Veilguard, I giveyou that, but you slightly misrepresented the issue. B. The other problem is that Rook never has to trick anyone. Not even their enemies. Rook can never truly testify for the claim "outsmarting someone doesn't prove you were right" because they never had to. Rook is never confronted by the idea that tricking someone might actually good, put you on that high horse and it can be hard to get off. So Rook's words are just lipservice and not proven experience or tested issue.
"Solas sees himself in Rook". Only if Solas views himself as an insufferable goodie-two-shoes fool who thinks in straights lines and is about as easy to trick as a toddler.

Warning! There's gonna be Metaphor Spoilers for all the way to the endgame in this one!
You know, I think Louis could have turned out a lot different if he had just been childhood friends with the Prince.
Like, hear me out, it certainly wouldn't have erased any of the trauma he suffered, that certainly wasn't ever going to happen. But having at least one thing in his life that the flames didn't take away from him probably would have done a lot for the man.
I can see this going two ways:
Louis gets taken in by the palace when More comes to retrieve Will. That would probably change the trajectory of the whole story pretty majorly. I could see Louis either still going down the path of rising through the ranks in the army, or possibly becoming a knight so he can stick closer to Will's side. Again, the Prince is the one thing the flames didn't take from him, and by whatever god is out there, he's not going to let anything else do it now. That would probably result in him possibly still being a target that Forden very much wants out of the way along with the Prince, especially since in this situation Louis would have no reason to masquerade as a clemar. He's out there as the lone eldan knight in the entire force, or quickly rising to the rank of officer in the army despite everyone trying to put entire boulders in his way because of his tribe. Or, alternatively, he pursues a more magic-based career. Possibly either aiming to become a mage at the Royal Palace. Or he follows in his parents footsteps and continues his studies to become a doctor, which still involves studying all types of magic so he knows best how to treat anything that comes his way. Regardless, his ultimate goal is to remain close to Will. Which he probably does to a point where it's entirely possible that he manages to foil the assassination, or gets cursed instead of/alongside Will. Or he does fail, which later results in the runner group having an additional party member with Louis possibly taking over the Mage lineage from Gallica or bringing in his very own lineage (maybe some sort of parallel to his boss fight? Either Archmage or straight up Archangel or something of the sort? Regardless his lineage would 100% be magic based. Possibly like Seeker with a mix of both healing and offensive magic) Would make for a funny situation since he either immediately clocks Magla Will for the actual Prince but is utterly confused about it since he knows his best friend is either dead or near-death (Entirely possible he wasn't allowed to join the group that cares for the curse-stricken Prince, but Louis is terrifyingly smart so he probably figured out a lot of things on his own). Whoever this is, they shouldn't be Will. And yet. Just another mystery to unravel during this entire journey. At the very least whoever this is does seem very adamant about wanting to help the Prince, rather than replace him.
Louis is left in the sanctum, but at least knows that Will is out there and cared for. Still would leave plenty room to build up the funny insanity he sinks into during the game, something that still paints him as the villain for a lot of it. The moment the news of the Prince's passing reaches his ears, he essentially breaks. He was working his way up through the army in hopes of one day seeing the Prince again, but now even that has been taken from him, has it? Likely what causes his utter descend into insanity. Its what prompts him to kill the King, (after all, this old fool couldn't even keep his own son safe, what use does he still have to the kingdom?) crash the funeral and announce his plans to take the throne for himself. He remembers the days spent reading that novel with Will at his side, and if this world is intent on taking and taking and taking from him? Then he will raze it and build the utopia both he and the Prince have dreamed of upon it's ashes. Honestly? In this case there's a good chance by the time anyone can convince him the Prince is alive, he's possibly far too gone already. Doesn't believe any of that drivel. The Prince is dead. The flames had long come to swallow him up after having forgotten one last thing they could have ripped from his arms. The Elda candidate that snuck upon his runner must've been a little rat, an imposter using his face to try and gain fame and fortune. He should have eradicated him when he had the chance, but each time looking upon him made him falter because he couldn't see anyone but his friend. It's another tragedy, because by the time Louis might recognize Will for who he is, it's too late. The Royal Scepter is already in his hands, the magla is rapidly gathering, the future he has worked for is about to come to pass. Even the one person that had kept him grounded for so long can no longer stop him. And now it's up to Will to stop Louis. To put his friend out of his misery that this entire tragedy has driven him into.

{{ Oh I could go for HOURS on Pokemon whump ideas! (There's a reason my Pokemon fanfic, while being much more tame than my other stories, is categorized as hurt/comfort!)
HM moves like Fly, Cut, Surf, etc. gone wrong.
Being taunted/bullied for having a phobia of a certain type/move/species/etc. Or being faced with the subject of that fear.
Being present during the terrifying events of the games/movies but not knowing there's a hero stopping it, and freaking out and confronting one's imminent death.
Being separated from your beloved pokemon by an evil team.
Being KIDNAPPED by an evil team!
Being separated from your pokemon by natural events like a cave-in, riptide, earthquake, etc.
Getting poisoned, burned, etc. by a status-inducing move. So not only the pain of the initial onset, but CONTINUING suffering.
Hypnosis/Confusion induced to make one see horrifying visions.
A losing streak in battling, losing belief in oneself, maybe taking it out on the team, or the team taking it out on the trainer.
Trying to capture a legendary but it deems you "not worthy" so it won't go willingly.
The travel portion could lead to normal dangers of hiking or biking or swimming activities like athletic injuries, sunburn, stung by something in the water, etc.
Maybe the contest scene could have cut-throat competition like modeling in the real world, where competitors develope eating disorders or body dysphoria or be put down for not being pretty enough.
Not being good enough at battling to make a steady income on your journey, so having to go without food, not having money to pay for the bus fare so walking until your feet are blistered, etc.
I could go on but maybe I should let some other people come up with ideas, too. ;P
These are amazing!
I had an idea, since pokemon loves illegal experimentation so much, that maybe a human is given pokemon DNA. They want to have the power of Pokemon, but instead their body develops a serious immune disorder that’s basically constantly destroying them from the inside out. Maybe they *can* use some pokemon moves, but it literally could kill them to try.
Definitely inspired by Lusamine’s Jellyfish form, I’m just sad we never got to fight /her/. She had a scary monster form just to throw out Clefairy. C’mon man! An ultra beast with the knowledge and memories of a cruel human?
That and, the entire idea of Po Town. So many kids and teens in a relatively harmless gang, but they all live in an abandoned, constantly raining town. There’s graffiti and damaged buildings everywhere, one mansion to sleep in, probably aggressive Pokémon. And they’re watched over by one guy who’s working with Lusamine, and another island Kahuna who just keeps them in check.

Why daisukes death was tragic (to jimmy atleast)
Tumblr media
Daisuke is a ray of sunshine, hes a young boy from a relatively rich family. He is a pure boy, as the hibiscus flower represents beauty, and pink represents innocence, daisuke is innocent. The name of the game mouthwashing, referees to mouthwash and how you use it, you think its good for your teeth, but its not. It ruins your teeth slowly due to the sugar content. Just like jimmy. How jimmy thinks he’s fixing things but it just makes things worse in the longer run.
Like how he thinks it’s okay to send daisuke up to fix things, because daisuke is the only one who knows the insides of the ship. Daisuke was taught to follow his leaders when he was younger, and that can even go to the extreme if they taught him to follow his leaders even if it hurts to do anything to please their leaders. And daisuke always follows his leaders, he follows Swansea, and when he asks daisuke to drink daisuke is hesitant but does it anyway, because his leader told him too. When jimmy tells daisuke to go in the vent, daisuke objects but he follows because jimmy is now his leader, jimmy is the captain and Swansea is in no leader position. Captains orders, he tells daisuke. He knows he’ll follow and do his bidding for him. Daisukes death was tragic, because he was still young and had not yet lived a real life. When we get the dialogue about his life and how he was a slacker, jimmy shuts up and takes the mouthwash away from him. It’s possible that jimmy saw himself in daisuke that they both had problems and no aspirations in life, that they both followed their leaders. Jimmy could’ve followed his leaders but then he wanted to gain control as he could’ve been abused by his leaders wanting to be the one in control so jimmy could never be abused again but became the abuser. But daisuke was still young and doing all he could to try and be something unlike jimmy who has no life outside of the tulpar. He wanted to be something and have a place he worked so hard for it, unlike jimmy who doesnt work hard for things and uses other for his advantage to do the work instead (how he used daisuke). He sees the quick outcome of his actions, and jimmy in a line says ‘I’ll figure it out’ meaning he has no idea what hes doing and it’s a constant in the game. He tries to fix his mistakes, but it’s just mouthwash. He thinks hes fixing everything, but hes making it worse. That’s why the mouthwash in the game isn’t insignificant but important. Why jimmy tries to fix his wounds with mouthwash, but makes no other move. While daisuke is choking on his own blood no one dares to move him, while daisuke is dying he tries to be quiet mostly because his mothers used to complain that he was so chatty, that his leaders dont want him so loud, so as hes dying among his leaders (diasuke and swansea) he tries not to be a nuisance and stay quiet. He followed his leaders to death, and when Swansea ends his suffering by killing daisuke. So daisuke cant suffer from jimmy’s delusions calling him out. And when jimmy tells Swansea hell fix it, what jimmy said before but fucking it up that’s why Swansea tells him to fuck himself and he wishes he could’ve got daisuke the smallest chance off this rock, because he was still young and had a life ahead of him unlike everyone else. That he had a life outside of the tulpar unlike jimmy. That’s possibly why daisuke got much more guilt out of jimmy.
I kinda fucky-wuckied this one (pls check my account for my jimmy analysis!)

Oooh Ghost and Hollow?
Ghost and Hollow
Oooooh boy, I have a lot to say!!!
So, starting off, I hc that Ghost and Hollow are hatchmates born from the same egg. Hollow was able to grow after being taken from the abyss.
Void stills time and growth and because of that, little ghost who spent most of its life in the abyss until escaping not long before the events of the game, did not age.
More on my timeline/time-freeze theory here.
They spent little time together before Hollow was chosen by the king, but their first moments were with each other and deeply impacted them both.
I wrote about this time in my fic, Ink of Void, Quill of Gold, and I'll post those snippets under the cut at the end of this post.
Hollow spent the rest of its life ignoring and repressing all memories and attributed feelings connected to the abyss and its siblings in its attempt to become a pure vessel.
Ghost's memories of Hollow were erased after leaving hallownest, and only a bit of its memory was recovered after returning to its birthplace.
Still even after reliving the climb and watching as its sibling left it clinging to the edge before falling to what might as well have been its demise, Ghost holds no grudge against its sibling.
Knowing what became of Hollow after that, only caused ghost to feel sorrow on its behalf, and further inspired it to rescue its long lost sibling.
Hollow, however, holds a very strong grudge against itself.
After abandoning Ghost, believing it to have died, and then witnessing it's little sibling go through hell to save it despite that,
The amount of guilt Hollow feels and Hollow has always had survivors guilt (just very repressed) concerning its siblings, and especially its hatch-mate, is now even more harrowing.
Now, about that 'betrayal'
I believe Hollow in that moment chose not to pull Ghost up, but also was hoping that Ghost would make it by itself.
It didn't want to appear 'impure' but it did stop and turn around for a reason.
It was waiting to see if it's sibling would make it.
It didn't want Ghost to fall, but it decided against intervening in order to preserve itself.
Hollow was very new to the world, and the world it was born into was especially unfair to all of them. I don't believe there was ever any intention there worthy of holding against it.
(Hollow, though, holds it against itself and refuses to let go.)
While deeply regretful, Hollow is also very appreciative of all of its siblings, Ghost, most of all.
Both for freeing it from centuries of suffering, but also, even more so for freeing the kingdom and at last putting an end to the infection,
More appreciative than it will ever be able to communicate.
(And somewhere underneath all of that gratitude and relief, there is some envy.)
There are all kinds of feelings that both vessels feel concerning each other. Pity, sorrow, jealousy, but in the end, they could never resent each other for anything.
They love each other above all else.
Post-ending relationship:
My ghost is a little guy who does its own thing and is very determined about that thing no matter how important or how trivial.
Not good at being social but gets easily attached to people.
Loves its family and tries its best.
Ghost wants to see its sibling heal and find peace and wants to be a part of that.
Hollow is so so so (ironically) complex.
A stalwart sweetie who's literal every thought and action coincides with intense inner conflict.
Hollow wants to make it up to its family, let them know through any means possible how much it loves and appreciates them, knowing that it's true and what they deserve, while also dealing with ptsd every time it showcases any amount (especially large amounts) of individual thought/expression.
Hollow's whole life revolved around this idea that its own individual thought/expression = failure to save others who will otherwise suffer and die.
Which they did.
So yeah, Hollow desperately wants to offer to its siblings the same amount of affection given, but it's very difficult.
Throughout our post canon series, Hollow undergoes quite a bit of healing, and it becomes easier over time. (The series actually begins months after Hollow's been free, and it's already doing better. Mostly physically.)
Bonding over:
Hollow and Ghost bond over their love of and dedication to knighthood.
They enjoy sparring with eacother. (Their friends + family enjoy watching as its most amusing to watch such a tiny bug so determined to take down a literal giant XD)
Hollow teaches Ghost much of what it learned while training to become the kingdom's greatest knight, (and is inwardly so so happy that its sibling is most interested in the one skill it feels most comfortable engaging in.)
Ghost lowkey thinks Hollow is the most impressive being alive.
Also! they like to battle with their horns the way beetles do! (Which looks especially ridiculous, obviously. Considering their size difference XD)
Other things they enjoy together include:
• Music. Especially their mother's music.
• Nature and the outdoors.
• Collecting little trinkets. (Ghost loves bringing its findings to Hollow to show them off and to share.)
Brotherhood:
The vessels are genderless but both Ghost and Hollow will use masculine titles, especially that of 'brother.'
(On Ghost's part largely inspired by the nailmasters, who in our post-canon series all find eachother again and make up.)
Butting heads over:
Tbh, they'll butt heads over lots of little things. Usually because Hollow is a perfectionist, and both of them are incredibly stubborn.
The only thing that will result in a devastating argument between them would be the subject of the Pale king.
Ghost doesn't hate their father, but it certainly does not care for him and holds some resentments.
Hollow will not hear anything negative about the king. Ever. At all.
Its extremely defensive response to any (often times quite fair) negative judgments of the king and his actions is largely a result of its time spent with the Radiance.
Ultimately, the subject is one the two agree not to discuss around each other.
Tbh, I could continue going into detail about all of this and more, but this response is already long enough XD
(These two mean so much to me!!!)
So I'll end it with these snippets from my fic below the cut:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I forgot to say in the notes on ao3 but Ghost being saved by Hollow (by relying on Hollow's strength to pull it from the egg) was a very intentional detail, meant to parallel Ghost saving Hollow in the future.
Both of them free the other from a black egg !!!

Insufferable Protagonists Winners Round 1
Propaganda why Evan Hansen is insufferable:
"just. oh my god. i cant put it into words. hes horrible im sure the rest of the world can find better ways to explain it than me"
"he lies to a grieving family about having been their dead son’s best friend. he does a bunch of patently awful things to either keep up this lie or benefit from it. he is portrayed as the good guy oh poor little guy he just has anxiety THE ENTIRE TIME"
"Lying creep"
"Lies about having been friends with a suicide victim so he can get in the pants of said victim's sister. The narrative excuses it and gives Evan no consequences for his actions because he's uwu anxious sadboi. What more is there to say? Other than the fact Ben Platt looked far too old to play a teenage boy so the film version is downright disturbing."
"Oh my god he’s such a douche. He’s presented as a good guy while manipulating and lying to the family of a guy who just committed suicide. He decides to do this because he wants to fuck this dead kid’s sister. Ridiculous. I hate him"
Propaganda why Jimmy is insufferable:
"The most chillingly real depiction of one of those men that think the world owes them everything. He's a rapist, a misogynist, abelist, self-centered, abusive, terrible friend and person that gets everyone killed because he was big mad about being laid off. It shocks me that there are apparently people out there that play the game and like him. He's so evil, but never in a way that makes him cartoonish, and that makes him all the more terrible. The game lays it out itself: he won't take responsibility for anything. He is never the villain in his own eyes. Scumbag."
"Tbh he's not just insufferable. He's disgusting. I can't even list all the horrible things he did because they would need multiple trigger warnings. He thinks that he's so high and mighty to the point where he betrays his own captain so that he can take his place, and then blames his actions and the ship crashing on said captain, who was actually trying to save them. So all of the crew died in one way or another (because of Jimmy's actions) thinking that their captain betrayed them when really if was him. And a quick Google search can tell you all the really nasty shit that he did. So not only is he insufferable, he's also just a horrible human being."
"Listen, I'm not even in the fandom and I know what his ass did. Screw this guy"
"Bro never takes responsibility for anything he did. Assuming he even acknowledges it *vaguely motions at what he did to Anya*"
"SA, causing a ship to crash, murder and elongating his friend's suffering in a cryopod for 20 years"
"He's literally the worst. He's a rapist, he framed his friend for attempted murder-suicide after getting him mutilated, and he either directly or indirectly killed everyone else. He's such an unreliable narrator that it's difficult to tell how the others of the Tulpar crew actually are because he sees everyone as beneath him."
"rape, murder, just generally being an asshole"
"LITERALLY A RAPIST"

playing slay the princess as intended (watching your friend stream it and then roleplaying as improvised ocs for each of ur runs)
#anethia collectibles#slay the princess#so ...#run 1 is i think the witch/thorns where we chose to be very stoic and silent throughout#run 2 is the paranoid/nightmare route (fav) bcus i wanted to get to ask more qns that round and somehow that ended up leading to my poor#little curious guy getting so broken and fractured :3#run 3 is the hero/deconstructed damsel route ....#run 4 is the tower! and being a little shit who is by hell and highwater NOT kneeling down#run 5 is the spectre ... roleplayed as guy who is for reasons he doesnt understand just wants it to be over#and MEOW anyway#nobody told me this game was an rpg .....#but its cool ! i love romances :]#i think its awesome ... the way the hero and the princess are . changing over time . over with each reset#the way they find each other in the long quiet ...... its something so#i love it ...#the hero is so guilty for hurting the princess that he loves and he is scared of hurtign and he wants peace and he doesnt want the eternity#of it .... he loves the . shifting mound (?) is it (?) as much as he hates the work she makes her do as much as he loves todo the workforher#like a blank slate knowing nothing . except that broken wounds can be healed . and then he meets her. and then he meets her over and over#its a million meet cutes for the hero and the princess snd a sweeping tale of love and devotion and salvation in the long wuiet#how many more vessels do you need .....#and its fun to. at least how i played it . the things the hero picks up on#knowingly or unlnowingly with each run#its soooo#every 'remain silent' feels like a callback to the first libe#telling the voices 'itll be okay' after the brightness of the damsel snd that 'ill be okay' after the selfishness n suffering of apotheosis#or after the deconstructed damsel route . and then to the last run. becoming the damsel. seeing it throughcher eyes#and its so . this culminating ammassing of allcthese voices .... and it comes to it all being reflected at eachcother#spectre posseses hero and shifting mound and player becomign whole#anyway i like this love story i find it very tender and swet#... anyway ! this is . none of this is analysis these are just my ocs and the story i made up whilst playing

I was rewatching mouthwashing, and I ended up thinking of the different reactions that Curly and Jimmy had in doing their tasks. How during the scene of Anya evaluating Jimmy and showing dread towards the idea of doing his evaluation, Curly was the one that offered to take it off her hands. He had no issue with adding more to his plate, because he knew - or well, thought, he knew that Jimmy wasn't going to "bullshit" with him since he's known him for a long time. When Anya hands Curly a note from Swansea, Curly goes to check out what the issue is and he takes care of it without a complaint, the only "complaint" he has is how this incident could have damaged the pods. Which is reasonable, those pods are their only way to be saved if anything tragic happens on the ship. However, in comparison to Jimmy being asked to do things, he's passive-aggressive about it. When Anya asks Jimmy if he could help her out with Curly's painkillers, he tells her that people should be worth their titles, specifically using her title as a nurse when she asked him for help and then when she says forget it, since he made her feel insecure, he still goes "Oh no, I'LL take care of it" as if he was doing a chore, a favor for her. Then, there's that part where he blows up at her for things that she didn't even ask him to do - more so the others asked him about it, like the code scanner, him deciding he needed to find the axe for the foam, and then, there's the medicine part (which when she does ask, and she reconsiders - going to do it herself, he takes that away from her). Jimmy complains about the tasks he has to do and he treats it like a big issue, a "woes me" that he has to do this and that - wanting the praise of the capital without actually doing any work. While Curly doesn't complain about it, in fact, he even mentions that he's aware of how well he is doing at his job as a Captain during that cockpit scene with him and Jimmy. If Jimmy only had to do a small amount of tasks to get irritated and annoyed at being captain, while Curly didn't which I feel like encapsulates their personalities. Curly understands what he's doing is a job, it's a responsibility, why would he complain at any point for doing what he's suppose too? Why would he be upset at people asking him to do tasks? While Jimmy on the other hand, isn't used to it at all and it's different to what he's had before and he's realizing that he doesn't actually like doing the work he has too. I just wanted to ramble about it even if it seemed kind of obvious xd
It’s obvious but it is a thing people miss or understate when trying to find parallels in Curly’s and Jimmy’s relationship/personalities.
Like the way people portray it as neither taking responsibility when it is almost split down the middle of Curly taking responsibilities and faults that shouldn’t be his and making himself unequipped to handle the ones that are while Jimmy refuses to handle the responsibilities he has because he wasn’t expecting the work that comes with them.
Not a lot to say but people forget that another thing the game comments on is prioritization of issues and responsibilities and how the guys fail at it in one way or another in the situation.
#this talk of responsibility is more so about me be very annoyed with people acting like Swansea was the most responsible man on that ship#when he immediately takes a break after his intern in stuck in the foam starts drinking the moment he find out the mouthwash is alcoholic#doesn’t tell anyone about the cryopod or explain himself and did nothing about Jimmy either until it was too late#like I’m sorry but he is also the last guy I’d like to hear about responsibility from cause he did just as bad as Curly post crash like he#wasn’t even nice to Anya outside the one conversation we see he was actually just as rude to her as he was Daisuke when they cracked open#the crates and dismissive before hand like I’m getting more mad at the glorification of one guy vs the woman whose doing the most 4 herself#like I get his speech and the recognition of his faults but he still had them and they still were his downfall in the end and part of the#reason Daisuke listened to Jimmy and it’s not his fault that happened but it’s the same way it’s not Curly’s fault Jimmy is like that#but I digress cause people don’t exactly like when we actually discuss the responsibilities the crew mates should’ve and shouldn’t have had#or what they actually did to help cause idk Anya likely would not feel supported by any of them after the fact if they survived like girl#only ever got attention for her problems when they were literally at the worst that’s not helping or taking responsibility like she had to#kill herself to feel some sort of relief also the irony about Curly’s concern about killing herself only#for it to get to the point she actually did because there was no safety for her they all failed her#Swansea would’ve just told her to tell the captain and he’d watch Jimmy and ultimately it would play out the same cause he’s tries to not#get to involved cause he’s old and been through enough already and she’d feel just as unheard like he was closer to Daisuke#and not once after the crash did he really try to steer him away from liking Jimmy which again he points out himself#like I love Swansea and Daisuke but they were just as complacent in Anya’s suffering and Jimmy’s behavior even if they knew less that should#not make them more viable options or it more excusable like crazy conclusions to comes to ig on my part but yall hate#the idea that maybe a major point is that Anya was alone as a woman and overlooked#mouthwashing#ask#mouthwashing game#anon#curly mouthwashing#jimmy mouthwashing
