in general in scenarios where consequence meets other guides from other versions of things, its first instinct is to reach out. like, it could get caught up on the fact that the other guide was from a version of things where they were the ones looping etc. etc. etc. but she really doesn't care about that honestly. the somewhat shared experience and "holy shit you also got turned into a weirdthing" stuff trumps the technicality of it all.

now. how she handles things after reaching out is erm. different. i could imagine things going bbetter with equinox compared to how things would go with loop...? it depends. the thing with loop is that like, loop's persona would clash against connie's vibe (which is less of a directly constructed persona, shes mostly just like. really unfiltered and bitter n kind of uncaring abt some things) and consequence would Not take that well. loop also just has their loopisms which would drive consequence crazy. BUT BACK TO EQUINOX i have to do some research. i think just initially the whole fusion thing would really throw connie off in general because she would not be able to tell who equinox is and i don't think Siffrin And Mirabelle At The Same Time would be like... the first guess lmao. past that point well! it would depend. Would They Make Each Other Better Or Worse... the ultimate question of the loopified fellas....

LEON S. KENNEDY

You are right! He is a mama's boy!!

On his first few weeks of daycare, Leon would cry the longest every time he's been dropped off.

Has a hard time adjusting to daycare, but gets used to it after making a few friends (notably chris & luis)!

He is always telling his friends and teachers in daycare about how his mama did this... mama did that... Leon is super proud of her.

Also Leon's the kind of kid who plays with cars, crashes them together and starts clapping (Not much different from the present)

ASHLEY GRAHAM

Teacher's pet just because she's always respectful, and sharing toys with her classmates.

Oftentimes, kids take advantage of that and take her toys.

Because of that, I think she's often neglected by her teachers since the other troublemaker kids need more attention, so to speak.

She would be friends with Claire as Claire would not hesitate to snitch on other kid's bad behaviour to the teacher.

Ashley loves little Sylvanian Families and play-doh - I see this developing into a slime making hobby as an adult!

ETHAN WINTERS

I'm getting the quiet, nerdy kid vibe for Ethan.

Toddler Ethan loves to collect trading cards, he doesn't necessarily know how to play the game, he just likes the glossy look of them.

I feel like he'll have trouble making friends in class because they don't understand what the cards mean to him.

Poor kid just wants someone to talk about Pokemon with.

Gets very excited about dinosaurs and will play the game "Who can name the most dinosaurs?" knowing he'll always win.

ADA WONG

Don't mess with Ada, or she'll have you regret it.

Even as a toddler, she would always get her way. Always be the first on swings.

Ada, even as a kid, enjoys her solitude and hates for that to be broken. She enjoys playing LEGO uninterrupted.

I can see her hating loud kids like Chris (And that's totally not because Chris trampled her LEGO town one time and she'd held that grudge for life)

Younger Ada teaches the other kids bad words, but somehow she is never caught, and never gotten in trouble.

CHRIS REDFIELD

Fat baby (he's just built this way)

'Accidentally' steals Claire's NERF guns, and feigns ignorance when he's confronted.

Big troublemaker at daycare. Teachers are always chasing him down but toddler Chris runs really fast.

100% Captain America enthusiast. He admires the act of serving his country, and that lead him to choose a career in military.

NERFs guns for life - I see him messing around and shooting the dart at other kids (especially Claire, usually to get back at her for snitching on him to mum)

CLAIRE REDFIELD

Younger Claire, who also inherited the Redfield attitude, takes no shit from anyone.

If Chris shoves her, Claire would shove back. And that may have resulted in a lot of sibling fights.

Strong believer of justice - Will pick fights with anyone, even big kids and adults, if she sees injustice.

Brutally honest kid - when someone asks for a compliment, she would say "That shirt makes you look fat" without batting an eye.

Alike Chris, she loves NERF guns (they often like the same guns, so it almost always turns into a brawl at the toy section)

CARLOS OLIVEIRA

Carlos, is the number one reason of all teacher's migraines in his daycare.

He is the class clown, so anything he says gets a reaction from the other kids in class (often disrupting them)

So the moment Carlos speaks (he is still focusing on whatever he's doing), the class erupts in laughter.

Toddler Carlos is the kid who mashes the music button on a toy repeatedly. A cheeky smile on his face, very entertained by it.

Also I see toddler Carlos on the trampoline a lot, often trying to jump as high as he can. Even though he is most definitely too young to be on the trampoline.

Wrong Number {L.F, SKZ}

chapter 8

summary: when texting your friends new number turns to you making friends with a memelord and his friends.

warnings: fluff, crack, very bad sense of humor, angst if you squint, a lot of swearing

It's been a few weeks since you and Jackson had started working with the 3 "small producers", and honestly you really liked working with them. they are respectful and honest, speaking out on things that should be changed and what they think could be done better and you and Jackson listened.

For the most part the song you 5 have been working on is complete, Chris had messaged you about lyrics and you both sent ideas to eachother, asking opinions and what should be added. you had already finished writing the lyrics you both worked on and now all you had to do was sing and rap your parts. your part was the chorus where you would do a fast rap and then transition to singing, Chris wanted your sing part to be strong and rough but confident as well as it fit with the lyrics. your singing voice was mostly breathy and light but on song currently you opted for a more growl type (yknow, like ado?).

As for Chris and the other 2, you had no idea where they'd put their parts in but you trusted them enough. Jackson on the other hand, worked with Chris and Seungheon on the song and the beat. When you first listened to the finish product you honestly thought it could fit in with 3racha well with Jacksons vibes scattered on it but you let the thought pass by.

Today was the last day before holidays from uni for you and your friends. you all had decided to crash at Jacksons place to have fun and drink in celebration of finishing all your tests.

Jackson was currently sat on a bean bag infront of his TV playing some games with Lexis as you and Jiyeon started on dinner for the evening. You helped Jiyeon with most of it, dinner being Kimchi Jjigae, some bulgogi with various side dishes, a side of tofu to dip into the jjigae if they wanted to and some fish cakes. You brought out a few plates and placed them on the coffee table infront of the couch and called everyone in for food. Jiyeon came striding in with a cooler which you assumed was full of alcohol. She picked some stuff to start with, like beer, soju and makgeolli. you snatched the makgeolli before anyone else could and lexis whined out, something about it being her favorite but you just stuck out your tongue at her.

As you all sat and chatted for a while, your phone dinged a few times. you took your phone and saw a message from lix, your friend you had been talking to for a few months, you two had gotten close in the time you had been messaging, often playing games with eachother like genshin or fortnite, which you definitely carried. You opened your phone to see what he sent.

"y/n, you've been laughing your phone a whole lot lately, did you get a boyfriend? are you cheating on me?" Jiyeon said in faux of fence but also wriggling her eyebrows at you. You scoffed at her but smiled nonetheless and pushed her shoulder slightly. "as if, it's just a friend of mine, he's been whining about how I can't play games with him right now."

"oooooh what friend? I didn't know you had friends other than us" lexis teased, pointed her chopsticks at you accusingly. "yah! fuck you mean other than you! I have plenty of friends" you pouted "he's the person that I texted when Jackson gave me the wrong number, he's actually funny unlike you guys" you smirked as everyone gasp at what you said. they all jumped up and started throwing pillows at you as you screamed and laughed the night away.

After a few hours at Jacksons place you went back to your apartment. You walked in, took off your shoes, and immediately head to your fridge to drink a bottle of water and hangover supplements to not feel like death in the morning. as you finished drinking the water your phone dinged again, this time a message from Chris.

"Chris": Hey, finished the song, well send it to you but we have to tell you guys something first.

Hey Queenie, I wanted to leave another comment on your page again (this probably won’t the last hehehe I hope you don’t mind!) because I completely forgot to mention that in your The Almosts series, I loved the argument scene with Chris and Josh in their dorm room when Josh drops out of his course - it shows the true skill of a writer because I don’t think any cutscene of a video game or a TV show or a movie of this scene could ever capture what you wrote. I loved that there was so much angst and tension and you write angst so well. When I read that I was literally sitting at the edge of my seat because the scene was so tense and I was so excited to see how the rest of the scene would pan out. Even before the events of the main game, I loved how all of the characters were so fleshed out and I was going to say you made them three dimensional interesting characters, but I think you went beyond the three dimensions hahahaha! I love how you made all the characters grey characters, like you wrote Ashley as feeling very guilty for her actions but also so angry at Josh for acting this way, I thought that was so interesting! And I found myself legitimately feeling scared at times based on the way Josh was acting, you captured grief spectacularly! You wrote Josh so realistically in terms of his mental health - at times he would be goofing off and having a blast with the others, but then he would get so angry at times and try to lash out at his friends and sort of provoke them and deliberately try to make them angry? You portray mental health so realistically, and you show the ugly sides of it and I think that is so interesting, you even gave Josh a rationale for designing his elaborate revenge scheme but you also showed us how it did not make sense at the same time. I loved how you seamlessly added traces of Josh’s mental health throughout the game, and you could really see the way his relationship had become strained with the others. I can tell you really analysed and researched the game and wrote accordingly to that even the way you wrote the others was so spot on like them being conflicted and not knowing whether to feel upset with the way Josh was acting due to his grief. I loved the therapist analogy with the princess, prince, father and the bull, that was so smart, my jaw literally dropped because that was such a smart literary device (maybe because I’m a psychology major but I loved that)! Thank you again for writing this I’m definitely going to reread this book ❤️❤️

i'll let you in on a (not-so-secret) secret: i, too, was a psych major once...and then a straight-up psychologist for a minute afterwards, so the desire to DIG DEEP into characters is just sort of a curse i live with. every day. constantly. all the time. hheheheheheheheh

honestly, when i set out to write t(a), wanting to portray josh's side of the story in a more realistic way was at the tip, tip, tippy-top of my list of things i wanted to accomplish. i think a lot of people, myself included, who played the game were left with sort of a bad taste in our mouths regarding how his whole deal was handled, so i really tried to walk the tightrope between "josh washington deserved better" and "this was always going to be a fucking tragedy and things were always going to hurt."

2000s media thoughts: I feel like Curly, Johnny and Ponyboy would be hella into Yugioh (both the game and anime) Pokemon for sure (as adults they played pokemon go) Digimon and Spongebob. Curly would like Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Johnny would like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Ponyboy would like Batman Beyond. They also have sleepovers and fall asleep with the TV on and would wake up to random AS shows. Squidbillies is Curly's love. Pony likes King of the Hill and Johnny chuckles at Aqua Teen Hungerforce. They all love Dragonball.

11. What character or characters do you find most compelling?

oooohhhh this is so tough bc i find all the characters compelling in their own way…. but i’d definitely say as of rn i’m incredibly interested in sam!! I think her new ending has given me so many thoughts and ideas surrounding her and her relationship with grief and not to mention the possibility of her ALSO seeing dr hill??? ouuuhhhh so many brain worms…

also being more specific i find mike’s ‘girls’ (emily, jess, hannah) and their roles in the story fascinating… ESPECIALLY how they’re all consistently punished by the narrative (which i could write ESSAYS on but i’ll save that for now)

14. Which characters did you like seeing interact the most?

omg… chris/sam god i love them… i seriously wish we saw more of them!!! their interactions are incredibly fun (especially the unused dialogue that my friends and i dug up omg…) and i think they’re incredibly underrated as a duo!!! they match each others energy and humour quite well it’s so refreshing to see them interact!!

I also rlly love emily/ashley … although we don’t see much of them i find the way their entire relationship can shift whether or not you give emily the flare so thrilling. once again, I wish we saw more of them! i think by few interactions we can assume they do truly care for one another (emily helping ash to sit down, her holding ash’s hands… ouh) and I do firmly believe emily never truly hated ash. they’re just tragic and i love them.

20. Were there any moments that really shocked you?

I can’t really say anything truly did shock me, however in the remaster i definitely was freaked out by the hunger totems!! Watching hannah’s slow transformation is truly jarring and also opened up a lot of thoughts surrounding her at least for me!

32. If you played it, who lived in your first playthrough? Were you happy with the outcome of your first playthrough?

my biggest flex is that i kept everyone alive in my first playthrough. i do not know HOW i did it and in all honesty if i went blind into the game now i feel like i would of gotten way more killed but !! i am pretty happy with that? just bc it makes me seem way more awesome than i actually am.

39. Any opinion take about a ship you'd like to share?

ohhh okay … so i wouldn’t say this is a ‘hot take’ or what not and this isn’t really for a specific ship but I feel like the fandom needs to be more careful with the way they treat josh in their fanwork, especially with his most popular ships (climbing class & jossam). I see way too much mischaracterisation of forcing whoever josh is paired with into a caretaker role and in turn babying josh which just really rubs me the wrong way as someone diagnosed with schizophrenia (and many others lmao). I hope that sam’s new ending opens peoples eyes a bit more but this is something that’s always icked me since the games release and also put me off a lot of josh ships.

FightingMario54321 and Meggy- they were both cops and have penchant for fighting, what more do i have to say? they set up play dates between Loaf and Cube

Luigi and SMG0- they both are so chill, and they’d probably discuss gardening and their favorite teas and have little tea parties and talk abt how chaotic Mario and Fred are

Niles and Kaizo- both have felt betrayed by someone they care about, and they’re both the bad boy trope fr fr, would listen to rob zombie together

Mario, Fred, and Spudnick- they are all super chaotic and love running around and causing problems on purpose, they’re not allowed to hang out a lot since they destroy so much when they’re together, but once a year the guardians allow a play date

Tari and EpicYoshiFan- i’ve always thought EYF was bit quieter and shyer than the other recolors, so i think he and Tari would get long great, talking about music and video games and staying up way too late doing things

XboxGamer997 and Melony- they both have this sort of main character energy with X’s omen sense and Melony’s fierce deity side, i also think X gets pretty tired frequently so they’ll just have lil sleepovers :3

Ruffman8890 and Boopkins- they’re both very high energy, and RM would love to watch anime with Boopkins because i said so fuck you

Karen, Toad, and Peach- tired of Mario’s shit and definitely need a break, they go drinking together sometimes

Jeeves and Toadsworth- weird old men gang! i am specifically thinking abt the 2018 video where Jeeves and Toadsworth were hanging out, they definitely would discuss like the weather and what the princess has been up to and how the milk is selling fr fr

Desti and Saiko- they would have been BESTIES you can’t change my mind, Desti would totally go to Saiko for help with asking out Meggy

MCGustavo and Bob- i can’t explain this but just trust me they’d be best friends they’d smoke together lol

Already mentioned, but everyone's got a "Rose-Assigned-Moniker" - Ethan's is Da/Dada (changes to Papa when Heisenberg enters the scene), Leon's is La, Chris is Baba, Wesker is Ba/Wa (depending), and Heisenberg eventually becomes Da/Dada (and she switches to Papa for Ethan)

When she gets older though, the only thing that really sticks is calling Ethan Papa. Everyone else gets the "Dad" treatment (occasionally the other nicknames come back to help differentiate) and even just their names (none mind though)

Everyone except Chris can purr. Ethan's is kinda rough sounding, Wesker's is deep and rumbly, and Leon's mixed with a chittering sound

Wesker stops using so much hair product and his hair sort of grows out and everyone cannot stop running their hands through it because it's soft. At first he just allowed Chris to do it (and only rarely) but as he got more comfortable he just lets the others do it too (not Heisenberg though)

Chris is the biggest pushover in existence when it comes to his family. He denies them almost nothing and spoils the hell out of all of them. Rose gets whatever toy she wants. Ethan, Wesker, and Leon can offhandedly mention something and the next day Chris comes home with it. He's also the most physical; he never denies cuddles and is always touching one of his partners in some way (unless they don't want to be, in which he gives them whatever space they need for however long they need it)

Though there are separate rooms in their house (one being Rose's nursery and the other being the "guest bedroom" that also serves as a second bedroom for anyone that feels like sleeping alone or for the group to split off into pairs for whatever reason) everyone just piles onto the massive master bedroom bed. Chris is in the middle, Wesker's usually off to his left, Ethan and Leon curled up together on his right. When Heisenberg comes in he's also on the right side, putting Ethan between himself and Leon

Wesker always monitors Leon's cooking and between him and Ethan they help the man finally learn how to properly cook

Sherry and Jake are the best older siblings to Rose. They absolutely adore her and she them. Jake lets her win at whatever game they play and she and Sherry love to do each other's hair

Jake and Wesker do wind up on better terms as time goes on, but Jake still doesn't consider Wesker his father. Leon though, Leon becomes his dad. He does not hear the end of it from him (or Sherry. Or anyone) when he accidentally slips and calls him Dad

Favorite family activity is sitting outside in the sun together. Like a bunch of cats sunbathing

Heisenberg crafts toys for Rose all the time. He also ends up making Ethan prosthetic fingers, and Wesker an arm (should he ever need it)

Mia and Ethan are still very good friends. They've both healed significantly since RE8 and have finally come to an understanding of their separate traumas from Dulvey and Romania

also some of the challenges were a lot easier, or at the very least, harder to fail than others this ep. i love it but come on. lindsay and sadie vs like. gwen vs owen and izzy vs dj. there were very different time limits, actual fright level, ability to back out once they were doing the challenge.... not a fair challenge

also uhm. if we’re being technical tyler and heather had the exact same reaction to their fears, so why did heather get a point and tyler didn’t? if the chicken had run at him, would he have won? smh

i do love this episode so much but. i had a couple complaints
