If you think about it, the character Death in the new Puss and Boots movie and the Death card in tarot represent similar ideas. In tarot, the death card can be interpreted as a sign to make significant change in your life so that you are really living it to the fullest. And that is exactly what Death’s appearance to Puss in this movie indirectly causes. Ultimately, Death appears to Puss, causing Puss to go on a journey through which by the end of the movie Puss has changed for the better and learned to live life to the fullest.

So I started watching the Adventures of Puss in Boots again bc im terribly abysmal at actually watching things I want to watch but anyway I watched episode 2 and like... man this really was the true start of Puss's dumbass era in canon because in the Shrek movies before this he's like the cool customer straight man character with occasional sage advice and I just watched this fucking moron fail to answer riddles for twenty minutes what absolutely kills me about this episode is that I figured they might... y'know, follow the common rule of three plot structure by having Puss attempt the Sphinx's riddles three times and have him get it on the third try but no this one braincell ass motherfucker is just yelling out random words as answers the whole time not getting any closer with each attempt I actually lost count of how many times he attempted the riddles I know this is Dreamworks and I'm probably reading way too much into it but oh my god I cannot stress how enjoyable this show is when you actually sit down and watch it like PLEASE Dreamworks you have absolutely no right
