The moment he spots her, there Jia goes, smiling and flashing a wink at Two while walking up and leaning in close, to the point where he's draped all over her, "A pleasure to see you again, Lady Two. You have no idea how I have missed your strong embrace."

Jia, running a hand through Two's hair, suavely adds, "I'm sure your people will be happy to see you, as well; we should make it a point to address them, after we finish 'catching up' in here~"

I hope this sends but I needed to share what happened in my new file of Cult of the Lamb. I've been naming followers after our muses and this is what happened to Jia a half an hour after getting him.

“My lady, hello there.” Jia, laying a hand in Sylvia’s hair, gives it a few gentle strokes. “Are you craving some attention?  I am still not feeling my best,” Jia’s illness had truly reared it’s head this time around, leaving him bedridden for the past few days, however... ”but I could certainly scratch a metaphorical itch or two of yours if you are in such great need of my affection~”

"I don't know how much exactly," Tong replies, with a faint grumble, "but there's definitely goin' to be trouble, more trouble than you can shake a damn stick at-- I wouldn't be surprised if most of us end up dead once this crap is all said and done."

"I think what Tong means to say," with a friendly smile on his face, Jia, who was sitting across from Tong and Autumn at the table, speaks up, "is that the road ahead is not going to be an easy one."

Jia, standing up from his seat, a bottle of wine swiped from the tables surface and in his hands, continues, "Such is the case when it comes to war, which is what our path will eventually lead to, and in war there will always be lives lost; destiny may decree those lives be one of our companions, or yours, or even our dear pint-sized friend here."

Tong, staring at Jia with an almost blank yet 'did he really just call me that' sort of look beneath his mask, mumbles under his breath, "Pint-sized?"

Jia, after taking a huge swig from the bottle of wine in his hand and then winking at both Autumn and Tong, continues in an ever spirited fashion, "I think that our 'rag tag' group we have pulled together here is going to come out on top though, and even if all of us do not make it, there will be plenty of us around to celebrate our great victory; that is all that matters~" // @equinoxism

"I had a feeling you would not be up to assist me this time around, but that's why I got Tong to help me~" How did Jia get their help exactly? A bit of money, alcohol, and smooth talking, of course. Mostly alcohol and money though. "I do not think he's sober enough at the moment to truly grade those papers, but the grading is getting done more or less." Jia, waving to Autumn with a bottle of wine in his other hand, smiles brightly. "In light of that, I will keep having fun for now~ In fact you are free to join me, if you wish. I always have time for my friends, the beautiful ones especially."

Regrets?

“My my, regret is on everyone’s mind today.”

Jia lets out some smooth laughter,  “Regret is not something I deal with often, but I would be lying to everyone if I stood here and said I bore none whatsoever.” Jia wished he had no regrets to bare, but regrets he had indeed, and after reaching into his coat for a bottle of wine to sip from, he elaborates.

          “There are many things that have not gone my way, just like everyone else,” for all that Jia’s intelligence could account for, some things, some feelings, were simply unavoidable, ”and I do wish I could change some of those things; people I could have met, opportunities I could have taken, friendships I could have saved, hearts I could have avoided breaking, deaths I could have prevented...” Jia, sipping from that bottle of wine, closes his eyes, his smile becoming somewhat somber as he falls into silence for a few moments.

  Jia, opening his eyes and taking another sip of wine, breaks his silence soon enough however, saying, “Although, that is the crux of the problem is it not? The problem with ‘regret’-- could have. With regret, there is always the assumption that a situation would have been better with a change of direction, and that is all it can be, an assumption. I can run the scenarios through my mind thousands of times every day, and think of all the ways things could have been better, but at the end of the day, I can and never will know for sure.” That in and of itself could be torturous, forever fixating on what he will never know, and it was a torture Jia had so far avoided. “That is why I try not to dwell on my regrets; there is no use in being petrified by and chained to a past I cannot change.“ The keyword here was try, however, as Jia would go on to emphasize, “I am only human after all, and because of this, I will have moments of weakness where those could haves and would haves come around to visit,” Jia, quickly perking up, winks, and in a more confident tone, continues, “but nothing ever sticks~ The road ahead of me is far too bright to dwell on any heartache from yesteryear.”

          Jia finishes off his bottle of wine and then lays on his back, one foot crossed over the other without a care in the world as he lets out a relieved sigh, “Perhaps, when I am finally drawing my last breaths, my mind will find itself reaching for those could haves and would haves one final time, but even then, I am sure the spectacle that will have been my life shall eclipse those regrets tenfold~” Jia would make sure of that, too, that his life, no matter how short, would be a spectacle, and in many ways his life already was one, but there was always room to expand! That is why day by day, Jia would continue to live his life to it’s fullest, and not let anyone, or anything (regrets included) hold him back from doing so....

“It’s a nice form though, ah?” Jia, with a chuckle, jokes, ”This is what three bottles of wine a day can do for you~”

"Life is ‘weird’, my lady, and if I were not a little ‘weird’ in turn, I would not be living mine to it’s fullest.” Jia, producing a cup of wine with his magic, makes a toasting gesture at Autumn, “Cheers, though, I can drink to your sentiment.” Jia chuckles, and then, before he downs that whole cup of wine, he declares, “To being ‘friggen weird’, and all the joys that come with it~”

Jia raises an eyebrow at Sylvia’s stuttered words, but ultimately he smiles and throws his arms around her, snuggling up against her as he coos, “What a coincidence, I really enjoy spending time with you too, my lady~ Days and nights with you are always wondrous beyond measure.”
